"Umm OK," Kurt grimaced.
21-12-2003, 02:49
"Don't be like that Kurt, most people your age would kill to be doing this. The sea is alive and this is the only way to truely experiance it. Besides, I thought you'd llike to show off what she can do, come here and take the wheel."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-12-2003, 02:53
"Most? Showing your age there," Kurt grinned, "most people my age would rather be hanging out somewhere."

He then took hold of the wheel.
21-12-2003, 03:00
"Feel how she responds to the slightest touch of the wheel, the slightest change in the wind. There's a reason sailors say that ships have souls, you spend enough time on them and you'll come to believe it too. Now take her a few degrees to starboard and let's see if can't give those racers over there a run for their money. We may not be entered in the contest, but I'll bet you a home cooked dinner that we show them all a clean set of heels."

21-12-2003, 03:08
"OK Captain," Kurt replied. He turned the wheel a few degrees to starboard. The experiance, he found to be quite interesting.
21-12-2003, 03:19
Gabriel raced about the small ship, setting the sails so as to get the absolute most speed out of her. The sails snapped in the winds as he made the final adjustments. White foam raced down the Storm Runner's sides and splashed onto the nearly vertical deck as she sliced through the waves. Gabriel leaned out over the bow, as if urging the ship on. They were fast overhauling the small armada.

Kurt grinned as they raced along the water. He was throughly enjoying himself.

"Better then lying on the couch," he said to himself.
21-12-2003, 03:33
Gabriel noted with a small measure of pride that he'd calculated the course perfectly, the Storm Runner would cut right through the middle of the race without stealing the wind from any of the racing ships sails. As the passed the first few ships Gabriel waved his cap at the sailors on board. But in seconds they were left behind as the Storm Runner raced past as if they were standing still. Gabriel worked his way back the stern and the flag staff and pulled a flag out of a small locker, attatching it too the staff it unfurled, revealing a grey wolf running on a black back ground, a bolt of lightning slashing diagonnally across the background.

"Whats that mean?" Kurt asked.

"Fool, you understand nothing!" Braun thundered back. "You've only ever seen the human side of Braun's heritage. Did you honestly think that the only parts of that where physical? There's a reason he's kept me locked down so long, I'm his darker side, his father's heritage you might say. His pitifully weak human side is still in here, but for now and forever I'm in control, it took four decades to rid myself of that annoying flying lizard and it's mental restraints, he blessed her for them, I cursed her for them. And you gave me the opening I needed, he sent her off to insure you were stopped before you became an even bigger threat than Nerull ever was, like the big hearted fool he was. Always more concerned about others than himself." He gave a cruel wicked laugh that seemed to gather the power of the storm around him. "And in doing so he unleased an even greater power on this puny world. ME! I should thank you for giving me the oppertunity to free myself, in thanks I'll kill you quickly."
Braun put away his staff and now both his hands glowed an even darker black than the rest of him. "Let's play shall we? How long can you avoid my touching you and claiming your soul, hmm?" The smile he gave was the same one a cat wore when playing with it's prey before moving in for the kill.

Kaz changed a bit now, but yet still in his dark self. His glowing white wings, now became stricken with black bolts, jumping around. His eyes, still radiated a white. The spare bolts jumping aout him, some tending to be black. His voice became thunder again, and he left his swords upon his sides. "If your so good, why haven't you already claimed my soul?" He said with a evil laugh, "And by the way, there are two souls i this body, remember? So good luck getting the right one.." He pulled his swords up, and they began to glow with black and white energies, and he waited for Braun to charge him.

OOC does mitch feel the thing melt into him?
21-12-2003, 03:47
OOC: No, but he might notice the holes in his clothing at some point.

IC: Braun smirked. "I like to play with my victims first." Braun gestured with one hand and a blast of energy tore up the deck heading towards Kaz, and Braun was right behind it.

Elsewhere. Marciel saw the highly localized storm ahead, wnds that could tear the wings from her body, waves that could grab her unawares, sudden down drafts that could send her crashing into the sea. Had she stopped to think she would never have entered the storm. But when one's bond partner is in trouble reasoned thought doesn't even enter the equation. Only the driving need to reach Braun burned in her mind as she dove into the heart of the storm.
21-12-2003, 03:54
"It's my flag, the flag of the Grey Wolf, loyalty, courage, honor, and and a willingness to fight for all of them. The lightning bolt represents unstopible force. You'll find that flag on any vessel I sail or pilot. But enough of that, keep your eyes foreward or you'll ram someone."
Already the Storm Runner had nearly passed through the racing fleet. Some Captains and crew had merely stared in surprise or irriation at the swift newcomer, the more industrious ones were extorting their crews to get even more speed out of their vessels.
Drognan
21-12-2003, 03:55
Kaz smirked as the blast came to him. He swiftly put his right hand sword away, and shot his own blast of energy into the other, causing a huge explosion, he pulled his sword out as he jolted into it, ready to run head on into braun.

OOC will post on others later, my mouth is hurting again.
21-12-2003, 04:02
OOC: Hope you feel better soon.

IC:Braun smiled as Kaz did exactly what he wanted. As Kaz's blades approached he grabbed one in each hand, the energy surrounding his hands keeping the blades from actually reaching skin. Braun pushed the blades away from Kaz's body and in one swift motion released the right one and locked that arm under his arm while his hand grabbed Kaz's throat. "I'd like to consider this a two for one deal on souls, I hope you enjoyed having them as long as you did."
Drognan
21-12-2003, 05:56
Kaz grinned as Braun had his throat. He still had a thunderous voice, but he had a slight trouble at getting his words out, "You may like it, but it isn't going to happen.." Kaz then muttered a few quick draconic words, and he began to glow, then a large bubble like blast launched Braun off of him. While this did happen, Kaz lost his sword in his right hand, and had a sore throat (lol, couldn't resist) . "So Braun, I have one sword, two souls, and your death coming... " He grinned, and saw his sword hit the water. "I think I should go get that.." He pushed off and flung himself into the water, zipping to to the bottom, seeing if Braun will also follow him.

"Ah," the young prince replied. "I know, I know. I wouldn't want to make you mad by damaging your boat."

He looked in amusement at the faces of those entered in the race.
21-12-2003, 18:40
OOC: Vor'en going to show up?

IC: Braun readied himself to go over the side after Kaz when a voice broke into his thoughts. "Braun, can you hear me?"
"Get away you annoying lizard." Braun shot back.
"Braun you've got to fight it, you're not like this and, ahh, help!"
Something inside Braun grabbed onto that and pulled itself back towards consciousness. "Marciel? Marciel!" It called.
Braun's hands went to the sides of his head. "No, I won't go back, no, NOOOO!" Head back he half screamed, half roared as it surged forward. After the scream he collapsed to the deck and the black glow began to fade. When it was gone Braun looked like he had before the fight. In a second he was on his feet and dove over the opposite side from Kaz. "MARCIEL!!"
Fear drove Braun like a man possesed. Struggling through the towering waves that were even now smoothing out as the storm dissipated Braun cut through the water, in moments he spotted Marciel struggling to stay afloat. Just as she was about to go down he reached her. Claws dug into his arm, drawing blood, but Braun didn't even notice as Maricel clawed her way up to her usual position on his shoulders. "Braun you're back." The relief behind those thoughts hit Braun hard.
Braun pulled them both back onto the ship where they sagged exhausted against the railing. "That's right, I'm back, I was gone but now I'm back. I'm so sorry Marciel." Tears of relief and joy streaked Braun's cheeks, the first time he had truely cried in years.
Marciel's tongue flicked out and carressed Braun's cheek. "That's alright Braun, we're both back and that's what matters, but there's still a job to do."
Braun used his staff for leverage as he stood up. "As usual you're right, let's finish this."
"Now that's the Braun I know!

The Storm Runner had just pulled alongside the lead ship when a ripple on the water caught Gabriel's eye.
"Kurt, hard to Starboard!" Gabriel yelled as he rushed forward to swing the main boom around

As Kaz had retrieved his sword from almost hitting the bottom, he could feel the waters calm, and he could also tell he was starting to run low on his breath. He began to swim back up, and pointed a palm to the surface, and shot a beam, and holding it, so he was actually in air, for the water was pushed away. As he came out, he saw the skies cleared, and everything almost normal. He landed on the ship to see Braun, back to normal, standing there, struggling.
"So it looks like the real Braun has returned.. Welecome back." Kaz's voice no longer had its thunderous tone, and his wings were becoming back to their physical form, but his eyes still glew with a white light.
He put his hands to his swords on his sides, waiting for what to happen next.

Vor'en had gotten caught slightly in the storm before it had passed, and lost sight of the boat for some time, untill he recientally noticed it, and he zipped his way over, as fast as he could.

Mitch, now held in captivity by his victim of assassination, Aurora, and the three others, Vox, Feron, and Zephyr, waited, waited for Kaz and Vor'en to return. Mitch sat back in his cell, and could only sigh at what punishments were coming for him.

Kurt turned the wheel to starboard as quickly as he could. He didn't like the sense of urgency in Gabriels voice.
22-12-2003, 00:40
The combined actions of the sail and rudder managed to bring the Storm Runner around to meet the freak gust of wind just in time. Several of the ships in the race were not so lucky and either keeled over or had their masts snapped off by the sudden change in wind direction.
"Bring her around Kurt, let's make sure everyone else is alright." Gabriel said as he began pulling life rings out of a locker.
22-12-2003, 00:43
Anger washed through Braun, but this time it was a white hot cleansing anger. For just a second an aura of white light surrounded Braun. Blood dripped unnoticed from his arm where Marciel's claws had dug in, "This ends now Kaz, you are too dangerous to be allowed to run free without something to help you control that power. I offer you a last chance to fight it yourself before I am forced to kill one I once called a friend."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-12-2003, 01:09
"Ok," Kurt replied as he turned the ship around back to the ships that weren't so lucky.
22-12-2003, 01:24
Gabriel threw out the rings with lines tied and hauled in most of the people in the water. Most of the other ships in the race had stopped to help their fellow vessels, but one continued on, quickly being lost to sight. Gabriel pulled the last person onboard and wave to the other ships who quickly resumed the race. One of the Captains Gabriel had pulled out came up to him.
"Captain Bellweather of the Swift. We all want to thank you for your help. However I have a request to make of you sir on behalf of myself and the others you rescued."
Gabriel shook his outstretched hand. "Captain Gabriel of the Storm Runner, what can I do for all of you?"
"That ship that didn't stop to help us is the Fearless, her Captain's an absolutely ruthless man when it come to yacht racing. We would like to ask that you use your ship to win this race for us. It's roughly a hundred fifty miles from here to the finish line. None of the other ships can hope to catch him with the lead he has."
"I'd be honored sir, what are we waiting for, we have a race to win. Captain, organise the survivors, man the sails!, Helmsman, bring us about! We'll show that blackguard how to race!"
The rescured sailors, old and young lept to the task with a will and soon the Storm Runner was flying along even faster than before.
Gabriel watched the crew with an experianced eye as he put a hand on Kurt's shoulder. "Keep her steady Kurt, I intended to make that hundred fifty miles before nightfall."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-12-2003, 01:36
"How long until nightfall?" Kurt asked.
22-12-2003, 01:41
IC: "Six hours, with the current wind we'll just manage to make it. Of course if the wind were stronger we'd get there even faster."

OOC: Gonna be about an hour before I can get back on.

Kaz gave off an evil grin, "What friend? Hmm...?" Then out of the blue he screamed a harsh deep scream, and Kaz took a step back, and turned around. A feeling of pain could be felt from him, and his voice, which, seemed to almost be his once normal self. "Braun.. I can't hold this power back alone.. you know that, I can only supress it for a matter of time untill it decides to fully corrupt me, and then there will be no turning back.." He turned around and his eyes had returned to normal, showing their origional cool blue color. "I'll need you help.." He took his swords from his sides and threw them twoards braun, along the floor. "Whatever needs to be done needs to be done now because I cant keep myself like this for long, it calls to me, and will not stop.." He fell to his knees, and gave off feelings that showed he was hurting, resisting, all that was trying to take him.

22-12-2003, 05:19
OOC: Go for it, but Kaz will not have to fight alone, I'll not let another face that kind of fight by themselves.

IC: "Marciel we have to do something, he can't do it alone."
"We could try and help, but I've never tried a link of that depth with someone besides you, and certainly not while dragging someone else's mind along. I don't know what might happen."
We have to try Marciel, I can't just stand by and let another go through what I have."
"All right then, hang on, it's likely to be a rough ride." Braun heard Marciel say just before he felt his own consciouness grabbed and pulled along. Instantly Braun and Marciel were in Kaz's mind, fighting to hold it back.

OOC This is his mental fight during this post..

Inside, Kaz was being torn to shreds, his mind not giving a moments peace, and his true self fought to keep its hold.
'This is my body, my life, get out of it!'
'Kaz your such a stupid mortal.. I have more power than you, you wont last long'
'I will last longer than you! Now give me my self back!'
Kaz then gave out the scream.
'Damn you Kaz...!'
'I have control now.. And I plan to keep it.
22-12-2003, 05:53
Braun and Marciel's thoughts broke into the fight. "Body, mind, soul; they are his to do with as he pleases, not your's, give them back now or we shall force you to give them back."
Drognan
22-12-2003, 06:18
The evil Kaz broke in again, So your so weak you had to bring in Braun, aye Kaz? Even with him, you wont win, I will beat you.. and you know it..

Kaz stomped his foot, then went back to his mental talk, You wont get this body back, i was here first, and i will keep it, and i wont let you get by, and neither will Braun, now stay back!

The evil counterpart came back, 'You will fall Kaz, Braun cant help you, he cant even hold himself back without that conflound lizzard! Isn't that right braun?
22-12-2003, 06:22
Anger flooded Braun at that statement, but it was anger he could use. By instinct he wielded as he wielded his staff. With Marciel's help he focused it and slammed it. Again he hit it, and again, and again, and suddenly it screamed as Braun and Marciel felt solid contact. "It is his, give it back!"
Drognan
22-12-2003, 06:57
The evil counterpart broke in again, Oh, is Braun mad? oh im so sorry.. NOT! He gave off an evil laugh.

Then the good half came back You might as well give up now, you wont win, once I have full control you will never come back!

The evil one gave off a deep laugh Is that so? But then again, you wont be getting that control ever, and you know that..
22-12-2003, 07:12
IC: The two mentally reached out and grabbed hold of the other insdie Kaz. "If you wish to take him you shall deal with us as well. Kaz work with us, we can only do so much without your help." Rallying themselves they pushed at the other, trying to shove hiim back to wence he had come.

"She's a friend of my fathers who tends to the palace gardens and just happens to be a weather witch," Kurt explained.
22-12-2003, 16:49
Gabriel shook his head. "No weather manipulation, I won't do that, this is a race, and I intend to win it fair and square."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-12-2003, 22:31
"Hmm, just tell me that when there's no wind at all," Kurt remarked.
22-12-2003, 22:46
"There he is!" Came the cry from the bow. Sure enough a sail had appeared on the horizon. After a few moments it became obvious that the the Storm Runner was fast overhauling. Suddenly the other ship put on a sudden burst of speed despite the fact that there was no change in the wind or her sails.
Captain Bellweather came back to the stern after some momnets. "I don't see how they can be going any faster, it's just not possible."
Gabriel's eyes had narrowed. "I can probably take a guess as to exactly how they are doing it. But I'll not say it until I have some proof. We're still gaining and we'll know soon enough.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-12-2003, 23:00
"And there were you saying you didn't want to cheat while they blatently are," Kurt scowled. "If I knew what to look for I could easily teleport onto their boat and see if it is what you suspect."
22-12-2003, 23:06
"Kurt consider this a lesson, just because one person cheats doesn't give you the right to do the same." Gabriel said.
As the Storm Runner got closer to the Fearless Gabriel wrinkled his nose. "Diesel exhaust, I knew it. They've crammed an engine into that hull."
Captain Bellweather grimmaced. "That would explain a few things, included some of those races he's won."
"Well despite that engine we're still pulling ahead."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-12-2003, 23:07
Kurt scowled, but said nothing.
22-12-2003, 23:23
As the Storm Runner began to pull ahead of the Fearless the Fearless suddenly swung hard over, aiming straight for the Storm Runner. Even as Gabriel yelled for hard to port he realised that there wasn't time to get out of the way. Rushing over to the port side Gabriel pulled his arm back as the Fearless was about to hit and slammed his fist straight into the Fearless's bow. The Storm Runner was shoved hard to starboard by the force of the punch. The Fearless was not so fortunate. Her bow was crumbled like a crushed beer can, her mast had snapped and crashed forward. Slowly she settled in the water, bow first.
Gabriel began barking commands. "Bring her around Kurt, haul in those sails, prepare to pick up survivors."
23-12-2003, 00:17
As he watched several of the sailors pull the crew of the Fearless out of the water he flexed his hand and winced as the sound of bones shifting back into place cracked loudly in his ears. "Definately not as young as I used to be." he thought to himself as Captain Bellweather came over and glanced down at Gabriel's arm.
"Hurt your arm?" He asked.
"Nothing I can't handle." Gabriel said as the stern of the Fearless came into view, a propeller spinning lazily in the air. From somewhere Gabriel pulled out a camera and snapped several shots before handing the camera to Bellweather. "Here, take this, show it to the judges if he tries to deny anything."
Gabriel snapped a quick salute at the disappearing vessel as the stern went under and the Fearless left the surface. After it disappeared Gabriel turned back to the wheel. "Kurt, get us back on course, we still have a finish line to reach before dark."

Kurt sighed and did as he was told.
23-12-2003, 00:33
OOC: Don't worry, I'm wrapping this one up. Sorry you didn't like it much.

IC: A couple of hours later the Storm Runner tied up at the small port's dock, having crossed the finish line a while back. Gabriel shook Captain Bellweather's hand as he stepped down from the ship.
"Thank you for everything Captain Gabriel. You've got a good ship and a good helmsman. Won't you join us for the victory celebration?"
Gabriel smiled. "Sorry, I'm afraid we need to be going, I promised Kurt he'd be home in time for dinner."
Bellweather cocked his head to one side. "Unless you live around here Captain I don't see how you can do that."
The Storm Runner's outline had begun to blur, as had Gabriel's and Kurt's. When Gabriel responded his voice sounded as if it came from a ways away. "We'll manage, down one for us Captain." He said just as they disappeared from sight, leaving Captain Bellweather staring astonished at the empty spot where only a moment before the Storm Runner had rested.

When the Storm Runner reappeared in the vehicle bay Gabriel turned to Kurt. "I believe I owe you a home cooked meal, you did good out there today."

Kurt nodded, he was glad to be getting back to dry land. He was also feeling hungry.

"I still hate water," he remarked.
23-12-2003, 01:14
Gabriel was rummaging in a tall cabinet in the dinning room. "Are steak and potatoes OK, and how do you like them?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-12-2003, 01:20
"As long as they're not crawling off the plate I don't mind," Kurt replied.
23-12-2003, 01:29
OOC: At what point does a joke become a running gag?

IC: "I promise it won't." Gabriel said as he pulled a bottle and two glasses out of cabinet. "This is some excellent homemade Scotch, it's a good three hundred years old." Gabriel poured each glass full and handed one to Kurt. "To a good race run and won. You can sail with me any time Kurt." Gabriel said before he drained the glass. Setting it down on the table he headed for the kitchen.

"Oh I won't be taking to water for a while yet if I can help it," Kurt said, taking the glass and sniffing the scotch.

OOC: Well would you trust someone giving you steak if the previous one began crawling off the plate? :D
23-12-2003, 01:50
OOC: Heck, if it's cooked protein and I can catch it I'll eat it.

IC: After some minutes Gabriel emerged from teh kitchen with a plate on each arm. Each of them had a giant beef steak and a large baked potato. Gabriel set one down in front of Kurt and then sat down in front of the other one. Gabriel quickly began attacking the meal.

"A little after seven."

"OK then," Kurt said before leaving.
23-12-2003, 02:41
Gabriel cleared the table after Kurt left and then wandered down to the war room. Looking at the various maps he took a moment to immerse himself in discovering what had happened during the day. The deepspace net had finally finished being laid, as had the sonar and satelite systems.
"Why can't they simply all get along?" He asked as he had an untold number of times before.
"It's in their nature Gabriel, as it's in yours." Arthur's response came.
"I know, but some days it all seems so pointless. I'm going to rest for awhile Arthur. Let me know when Kurt arrives OK?"
"Sure."

Gabriel walked down the hallway, well past the point he had shown to either Kurt or his father. Pushing open a door he entered a room that was completely empty and black. When the door shut behind him all light disappeared. Gabriel moved to the center of the room by feel. Standing in the center he concentrated on the energy field that was gravity. A slight shift of his own energy field and he felt his feet leave the floor. In a few seconds he was lying on his back, suspended several feet in the air. Eyes closed, his mind still ran at lightning speeds, reviewing the past as if in a film as he remembered. Even at the speed of thought it would take a long time to run through it all and ponder what it all ment.
23-12-2003, 05:17

Kurt slowly woke the next day at the crack of dawn. Noticing how dark his room was, he closed his eyes and tried to go back to sleep. He hoped to return to the dream he had of being in human form in some high school he had never been to before, he wasn't sure if he had been in Draconis Nightcrawlis in the dream.

Gabriel put his arms behind his head without even realising it, and even though it wasn't really necessary since he was lying on his back in midair. "Blast it all to infinity and back. Once, just once why can't we find a dimension where I don't have to come in like a ton of bricks and start fighting right off? Or even fight at all for that matter?" One leg swung back and forth beneath him unnoticed. "Via, look at me, a self proclaimed pacifist who has shed enough blood to fill several oceans." A grim smile crossed Gabriel's face. "At least I don't enjoy bloodletting for it's own sake, if that were the case then there would have been a lot more blood spilled by now. And I can't exactly say that I don't enjoy the thrill of combat after all these years. Bloody Hell, I don't know what to think anymore."

Finding he was losing the battle, Kurt teleported to the kitchen. From there he raided the fridge like he aleways did when he was bored.

"And then there's Kurt, hardly an ideal canidate to replace me, even if I didn't already have qualms about dumping this on someone else. Of course I was hardly an ideal canidate for this job myself. A mentally and emotionally broken wreck of a young man with all his engrained hatreds and predjudices, plus a few new ones added for good measure. And then he's handed more power than he had even been capable of imagining. By all rights I should have done a lot worse before I began to get the hang of things. At least Kurt would have a decent starting point, and who knows, maybe I'd even be around for a little while to give him a few pointers. At the very least he'd be able to rely on Arthur. Mind you, he's got a few quirks of his own, but he's as loyal and dependible as they come. And he's experianced nearly everything I have, so he wouldn't let Kurt make any really big mistakes." Gabriel frowned. "But that still leaves me with the question of whether or not I have the right to give this burdan and duty to someone else. If only all the answers were as easy as an application of brute force."

Kurt managed to drop a bottle of milk and its contents spilt all over the floor.

"Dammit," he cursed, looking at the glass and milk on the floor.

"Whatever the decision, at least I won't have to make it for a while, a few years at least. And even if that decision turns out to be a negative, at least I know that this nation will be in good hands. Kurt's got a lot of potential if he would just learn how to focus it. He might not be an adult just yet, but he should at least start acting like one. He has to start looking beyond his own wants and start thinking about other people's needs. Almost better an ignorent ruler than a selfish one. Though I don't think it's a chronic problem so much as he's at that age. He's certainly one of the more interesting students I've ever taught."

Seeing as there were no servants around, Kurt decided to clear up the mess himself. He got a mop and began to mop it up. Unfortunatly the mop didn't seem to be doing anything other then spread the milk around and make things worse.

"Argh!" he yelled, throwing the mop back to the cupboard before teleporting back to his bedroom.

Gabriel grmmaced. "I'm older than this entire universe, I know more and have experianced more things than anything else I've ever encountered, and here I am, unable to decide the fate of one teenager. But that's just it isn't it, it's not just his fate I'll be deciding, but the fate of everyone he affects and influances long after I've turned to dust. Not such an easy question afterall when it's put that way is it? No, it certainly isn't, but then if it was an easy question you could simply make a decision and be done with it. But whatever the answer is, I'm directly responsible for the result, and I'll have to live with that knowledge for the rest of my life, whatever happens."

Kurt lay down on his bed and closed his eyes. Strangly enough he drifted off into sleep without trying.

OOC: And on that note, I'm off to bed too :)

Kurt had the dream again. He found himself in a hallway with lockers running down both walls, they were grey and rather sterile looking. In fact the whole place looked sterile.

He wasn't alone as there were other kids his age around. None of them were recognisable however, they were all strangers to him. It didn't matter though as none of them seemed to take any notice of him. He found that if he started walking, the hallway would seem to go on forever, there appeared to be no end to it. Maybe once he awoke, he could ask Gabriel if he knew much about the meaning of dreams.

The world around him faded. When he was able to see again, he was beside the large pond. Across the otherside he could see his mother and Mrs Monroe talking. That was when he woke up again.

"Gabriel, it's almost time for class." The effect of Arthur's voice intruding so suddenly on Gabriel consciousness caught him off guard and Gabriel nearly hit the floor he was ablw to fully pull himself back to reality. Adjusting his orientation so that his feet and not his head would be the first thing to reach the floor.
"Thanks for the wakeup call Arthur."
"Thinking deep thoughts again?"
Gabriel had reached the door to the blacked out room. "You could say that."

When Kurt arrived at class, he still had the dreams fresh in his mind. He wondered what they meant, if they had any meaning at all.

Gabriel notice that Kurt looked in about the same condition he did. "You have a rough night sleeping too?"

"Woke up too early again," Kurt yawned. "Strange dreams too."

OOC: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

IC: Gabriel nodded. "Old dreams and memories trouble me more often than I'd like to admit. Do you want to talk about it?"
