Kurt didn't dare do anything, he waited for it to end under the white shield he now found himself under.
"Fine then fool, I will simply out maneuver your.. spells." Teron yelled as he was dodging meteors while still dueling Kaz.
Kaz was growing in strength, for some reason. He seemed stronger, but it wasn't the spell that Braun cast. Teron was seeming to slow down, but it was actually Kaz speeding up, and Kaz was able to land a hit on Teron, taking a great deal out of his left arm, and putting a hole in his wing. Teron screamed in agony, and then out of nowhere, admist the meteors, a great flash of fire came flying at Teron, engulfing him again.
Kaz looked to where it came, and a figure stood there, a quarter mile off, with flaming wings on his back, and flame red hair. Kaz looked deeper into the figure... "Brother..."
Braun ceased playing for the moment, warily eyeing the newcomer. "Be you friend or be you foe?"

OOC: Sorry guys but its 4am, I must hit the sack now
OOC: Night, see you tomorrow. Drognan, should we finish this?
The figure heard, from how far away he was, the question from Braun, "Why dont you find and guess."
He crouched down, and sped twoards Teron, and flew straight into the same fireball Teron was in, the size growing bigger.
Kaz almost droped his weapon from the sight, his brother, actually coming to help him after he had to dewing him, but then he thought, what would he have done as well?
Kaz droped his sword, it falling straight down, falling into the earth, and standing, hilt up. He flew down to it, and began chanting, a great blue and white energy froming, then joined by green, the earth. Kaz was pulling spirits from the earth with his sword to help him. He continued chanting, and the fireball above broke.
Teron and the newcomer were interlocked in a fistfight, but more advanced. The newcomer was yelling as he fought, "This is what you did to me, my brother, by home, and my emperor! I fight for Kaz, and against you, for having me follow you!"
Teron was slightly scared, and supprised, "You cant be flying! You have been dewinged you fool! You break the codes!"
Kaz's brother yelled in response, "Breaking the codes?! Breaking the codes!!? You should die for, 'Breaking the codes'!"
Kaz's brother landed several hits to Teron's face, knocking him back. He kneed him in the stomach, and knocked him back down to earth with his elbow. He hovered there, as Teron got back up, and zipped back to fighting again.
OOC it may or may not finish, its whatever goes on, matters not to me, night Draconis. Im up for finishing if you want to
OOC: Fine, we'll finish this up tomorrow, night all.

Kurt still wasn't sure what was going on. He did know that he had been dragged into the middle of a struggle.
IC: Treachery was one of the few things that Braun would not stand for. His emotions gave themselve's free rein and it showed in his music. He ran his fingers down the stings in such a way as to make them wail as if by a storm's fury. "The spirits of the air abide no traitors. They blow hard and with a fury unmatched. So come the Traitor Winds!" In the air a massive vortex formed taking on an angry and contorted face, with a howl like that of an approaching tornado it ripped Teron from the fight and proceded to rend and tear until with a spray of blood his wings were brutally ripped from his body. The vortex spat him out at the ground and he impacted with a cloud of dust. Braun put his autohrp away, and staff in hand, it once again glowing with darkness and extruding fear and hunger, approached Teron.
OOC: Sorry if this multiposts, I'm on something like my 150th try today.
....300th
....450th
..... 600th
.......750, persistant, aren't I?
OOC: 8 F***ing hours to post this. But in the end persiverence and sheer stubborness prevaled.
Kaz was still at his blade, and stopped as the winds picked up. His brother backed from Teron, as he was taken from the vortex, the wind whiping the flames of his flame wings.
Teron, after slaming to the ground, losing his wings, and almost dead, looked up as Braun approached. "Why did you have to get in this..." His voice was weak, and he was saturated with blood from the violent ripping of his wings.
While he said this, Kaz pulled his sword from the earth, and walked over to Teron as well.
"Braun, don't take his soul. I have a better idea, I will lock his soul within one crystal, and deliver it to his brother." Kaz said, his side still bleeding slowly.
Teron looked slowly to Kaz, "You bastard, with your friends, you had to have them help, didn't you? You weak pathetic good for nothing failure of your father."
While Kaz began to speak, Kaz's brother came down and landed next to him, and his wings burnt out, leaving nothing on his back. Kaz spoke slowly, as to let the words sink into Teron, "No, I am not a failure of my father, I am his son, and as his son, I carry his potential and wisdom with me, you are the failure, for trying to overthrow your own brother, only because you couldn't become emperor, you selfish failure for a half-dragon." Kaz pulled out a grey, plain crystal, and attached in the end of his sword in what looked like a socket made for them. "Give him your last words Braun, for I want ti imprison him within this crystal slowly."
Kaz's brother began to speak as well, "Have fun in a hell crystal."
Then Kaz began to press the sword into Teron's stomach, slowly. A erie white transparent like mist circled the blade, slowly traveling up.
Teron groaned, "Damn you, you fools..."
OOC I waited for the probelms to stop, then post, go ahead grim

OOC: Glad they've fixed the problem now
"Be grateful that it is he who passes judgement and not I, for if I would choose, you would face the death that never ends." Braun pulled a small vial filled with a grey liquid from one of his belt pouches and handed it to Kaz. "Here, drink this, it's designed to heal and counter the effects of weapons such as his."
Kaz somewhat frowned at the look of Teron's face, but he quickly brushed it away, "Goodbye Teron Kale, Brother of Diomedious Kale, May your death be quick and painless, and your soul rive in agony until it is released" With that, Kaz Thrusted his sword straight through Teron, and he screamed out.
"I will be back to kill you, you wait." And his head rolled over to its side, and he was still. The mist done traveling up Kaz's sword. He slowly removed it, and the crystal glowed an evil black, giving off a slight black light.
Kaz looked to his brother, "It is done Vor'en, you no longer hunt him, and he has been destroyed."
Vor'en looked back, "Thank you Kaz, and may his body rest and his soul die everyday for the rest of eternity."
Kaz took the vial from Braun, "Thank you friend, but sometimes, I wish this was only a matter of me and my brother, but your skills are greatly honored now, I will be sure to have something done for yu in Drognan. Thank you" He drank down the vial, and the bleeding stopped, and the wounds began to heal slowly, but strongly.
Vor'en bent over, and removed Teron's gloves. He chained them to his side. The winds picking up every so often, catching his red cloak, and showing his crimson tail. He put a hand above Terons body, and a ball of flame grew, and he droped it. The flame engulfed Terons body, and incinerated it, slowly.
Both the brothers looked back to eachother, and said togather, "Strength and honor to our true Emperor..."
Braun looked back to where Kurt was standing slightly shaken. "Sorry to have dragged you into this Kurt, you were looking for an adventure and got more than you were expecting."
OOC i didn't do too bad, i could have done better though...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 02:17
"Not what I was expecting," Kurt replied, with a forced smile. "But I'm not complaining."
"I apologise for interfering in your fight Kaz. But I'm afraid Marciel here is somewhat impulsive at times. As much of a telepath as she is, she's even more of an empath." At this Braun reached up to scratch Marciel under the chin. "When we emerged all she felt was hate and danger towards someone she considered a friend and she acted accordingly. And I could no more allow her to fight alone than I could cut off my own arm. We can't live without one another, as one of us fares, so does the other. She guards my soul and I sustain her life. That was the pact my mother made with hers."
OOC i didn't do too bad, i could have done better though...
OOC: Would you have prefered something along the lines of "Know that though you have done much evil in the world, you may one day have a chance to make up for the damage you've done. Let go of your hate for otherwise it shall consume you utterly, as it nearly did me. Should such a chance come your way, I suggest you take it as the gods raely give one such a second chance. They do not do so a third time however. Go with the knowledge that there is at least one soul that is tormented more than even yours."

"So what now?" the young prince then asked.
"It depends, do you still need to stop by that shop Kaz?"
"Dont worry Braun" Kaz said, slightly shaken now from the fight and everything. "Braun, Kurt, this is my brother, Vor'en, Vor'en, this is my new forund friends, Braun and Kurt."
Vor'en slightly bowed, "Nice to meet you Braun, and Kurt." He turned quickly to Kaz, "I need to talk to you now." Vor'en grabed Kaz's arm, and did the same teleportation Kaz did, about a quarter mile from where the group was standing, where Braun and Kurt could not hear.
"Damnit Kaz, are you crazy? trusting poeple you just met? What is your problem? You were never like this before, and that blue kid, he is too damn young! What is your porblem?"
Kaz's hounds healed, but left scars, he now had a thick scar across from the left side of his forehead across his left eye, to the bottom of his right side of his chin. "Vor'en, just because your my older brother, does not mean you need to teach me, we are almost three thousand years old, we aren't at the point where you needed me and I needed you. You know that."
Vor'en was silent. Then he spoke, "Yes..."
The two stood there for a few minutes, then Vor'en spoke, "Teron wasn't at his full potential... you know this right?"
"Yes, brother, I could feel he wasn't."
A sound of demonic whispers flowed throught the air. Kaz droped his sword, and looked down to the crystal attatched, "He didn't have his potental, because he couldn't unlock it, but I think we just unlocked it..."
Vor'en pulled the crystal off the sword, and put it on the ground, away from the sword. "Kaz, Hit it with your sword, it should shard it, giving us more crystals of his soul to play with, and hopefully stop that damned whispering."
Kaz pulled up his sword, and slamed it on the crystal, and nothing happened. The sound of laughter could be heard. "Vor'en, I dont like this, we need to get this to the emperor."
"Yes we do, but till then, a silence spell upon the crystal." He cast a simple spell, knocking out all sounds coming from the crystal. "Back we go."
The teleported next to the two again, and in unison, said, "What next?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 02:39
oops
"Yes, I do. Vor'en, I may have found one of your fathers soul shards."
Vor'en stood silent, "You did? Where? I must see it!"
"Hold on brother, Braun, Shall we? Me and my brother can take you guys there, no use of big spells."
"Hey I am not too young," Kurt protested, folding his arms in disgust.
OOC Drac, notice that they teleported away? u might want to edit
Braun frowned as his staff started glowing once again when it was inadvertently brough close to the crystal. "That's odd, it's never done that before, it's only responded to a vibrant living soul contained in a living body. It shouldn't respond to one trapped in a crystal. And certainly not without my releasing control over it." With an obvious effort at concentration Braun made the glow fade once again. "There is something seriously wrong here. Once we stop at that shop then I suggest we see a friend of mine right after. I'm afraid it looks like it's going to be awhile before I can take you home Kurt. This is more importent."
Vor'en looked at the staff, "Such power in that staff... It is bound to you, am I right? I can feel its connection to you when it went beyond your control. But also, I must get to that shop, it may have my fathers crystal, I will only be a moment if you take me there."
Kaz looked to Braun as his staff lit up to the crystal, adn waited for his brother to finish. "We need to find his father's crystal first please." His voice was slow, and showed a great deal of care to the words.
IC: "Of course." A few pulls of the strings on Braun's auto harp opened yet another portal for them to head through that left them standing in front of the store once again.
OOC: You guys are about to meet a character from yet another of the series I'm writing.
The brothers step through the portal, and came out to see...
OOC the shop i suppose?
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 02:55
Kurt had lost cout of how many portals he had been through today as they headed through another. He didn't think it was all that much, but he was quite happy at teleporting a distance of more then two miles for a change. Out of the portal he looked up at the shop.
OOC: Sorry, forgot to write that, edited to correct.
Kaz pointed to the unmaned store for Vor'en, "There."
Vor'en ran in, and searched through dozens of crystals, to find two.
He came out, and handed one to Kaz, "Its him." His voice was full of happieness, and his face showed it.
Kaz laughed, "It is him. Here, take it, its your father, I will collect the rest, the emperor will be happy to such a find."
He grabed all the crystals into a sack, and went to Braun, "Lets take care of this crystal,,, it is bugging me now..."
Vor'en put his crystals away, "Yes, please."

OOC: Tag...and what's the general plot of this RP?
"It is not the crystal that worries me so much as the way the staff is responding to it. One does not take chances with something that in part contains the essence of the God of Death." Hurrying down narrow streets they once again found themselves in front of the wall of archways. A quick reciting of the words of entry and the group found themselves on the invisible pathway to Marea's tower. Once inside Marea immediately met the group in the first room. Amelia was no where to be seen.
"Don't bother speaking Braun, as soon as you walked in here I knew what the probelm is, but it's beyond my capacity."
"I know Marea, I came because I need your help contacting Him."
"Of course, come with me. The rest of you please make yourselves confortible this could take a while."
After that they both disappeared through one of the doorways.
OOC: Tag...and what's the general plot of this RP?
OOC: It seems to wander. Basicly Kurt was looking for some adventure and has found it in spades in two new friends.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 03:12
Kurt waited paitiently outside as he didn't want to go inside. Nor did he want to go wandering and getting lost.
Kaz and Vor'en went to a wall, and leaned against it. Vor'en spoke, "Nice scar, the emperor is going to be pissed. The only good thing, is the ladies seem to like scars..."
Kaz laughed, "Well, it isn't something I wanted, but it happens. So do you know anything about thoes claws?"
Vor'en looked down to them, "Some type of rune ones just as your sword, otherwise they would have shattered to your sword."
"Interestering..."
After several hours, the pair emerged looking drawn and haggered. Both of them collapsed into chairs with exaustion. "If someone had bet me earlier today that it was possible to get ahold of him in less than two months I would have laughed in his face." Braun murmered. There was a sudden flash of light in the middle of the room. When it faded a tall man with brown eyes and black hair only just starting to be streaked with gray was standing there. A longsword was slung on one side while on the other rested a pistol in a holster. Across his back was an assault rifle. At his side was a wolf whose head nearly came to his shoulder. "Braun, I came as soon as I could." The man said.
Braun stood up. "Folks, let me introduce you to Gabriel, a master of time and the dimensions, the only person I know who turned down an offer to become a god because it would be too limiting, and who is most likely several times older than the collective life spans of everything on this world. Thanks for coming."
"Not a problem, now can I see the staff and this crystal?"
"Catch" Vor'en said, and tossed the crystal to Gabriel.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 03:26
Kurt looked at the size of the wolf. He had never seen one before except in pictures and on the telly. It was much bigger then he had expected a wolf to be. His curiosity got the better of him again and he began staring at the wolf.
Gabriel nimbly caught the crystal. But when Braun came over and tried to hand the staff to Gabriel the second he touched it, a blast of energy erupted that sent the staff flying across the room. When Gabriel went to pick it up again his hand was glowing with a white energy. This time when he made contact with the staff it glowed with black energy that tried to war with the white energy, both twisting and turning around each other. Holding both the crystal and staff close to each other he closed his eyes to concentrate on them. After a minute he handed the staff back to Braun. However before he handed the crystal back to Kaz he surrounded it in a opaque sphere. "This is serious, I don't know who's soul is residing in that crystal, but it's resonating with Braun's staff. Both the soul within the crystal, and Nerull who is trapped in part within the staff and partly in Braun are growing strength, feeding off each other in someway that is allowing both to increase in power. Shortly, I estimate within a week, neither the crystal, nor the staff will be able to hold those they contain. The sphere around the crystal should slow the process down somewhat, but not for long."
Both brothers looked to Gabriel, "Not good."
Kaz looked to Braun, "Vor'en will return to our emperor, and we will work on something to defeat and destroy forever Teron, and we will find something to do with you and your staff... If that is what you want to do."
Braun shrugged in weary resignation. "So goes the staff, so go I and Marciel, Nerull is contained both with in myself and the staff. Should the staff be destroyed Nerull will escape more powerful than before, for he will once again have a coporeal body to work with, so far it's only been by the combined mental efforts of myself and Marciel that he has been prevented from claiming me body, soul, and mind."
Gabriel placed a hand on Braun's shoulder. "I wish I could be of more help, but where it has only been three years since you saw me last, it's been thirty-thousand since I saw you last. For the moment my power is at a low point from several recent battles. My abilities are greatly limited now, but I shall aid you however I can."
Kaz was stunned, but somewhat not supprised at the same time, "You mean, if he gets lose, you wil be him?" his voice trailed off. "Vor'en, you are staying here, we need to do something to prevent this. And I dont want Teron or this Nerull getting out, because I dont know who the spirit of Teron will take, and his powers combined with any of us with Nerull will be too strong. What can we do to help you Braun, and any ideas Gabriel?"
Gabriel turned to the two brothers. "We'll accompany you back to your home. Perhaps if we can destroy the soul in the crystal in time it will stop Nerull from escaping the staff. Braun was lucky that he did not claim that soul with his staff or Nerull would have already escaped."
A voice came out of the air. "Hi kid, name's Arthur, nice to meet you."
Seeing Kurt's surprised expression Gabriel explained. "That's Arthur, he's not really a wolf, that's just the form he's taken for the time being. He's actually a very complicated and advanced AI."
Braun nodded. "My soul will be consumed utterly, all that will be left is my body for him to use. It was the only way I could stop him, and Gods know it has cost these many years."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 03:58
Kurts tail twitched nervously as he listened to the conversation. It wasn't good, he could tell. There was nothing he could offer to help with.
"Then we must hurry." Vor'en said, his voice becoming serious once again.
Kaz noded in agreement, also taking a serious also, "Yes, we must. We will have to make it into Drognan as quick as possible, however your means of travel, lets go now."
"You might as well stay with us Kurt, if he gets loose there will be nowhere to hide." Braun said.
Gabriel nodded. "He's right, I'll make sure a message gets back to your parents."
Braun looked up. "Before I forget, with Marea's help I manged to make this for you." Braun handed Kurt the amulet he'd bought earier in the market place. "It's a permant illusion amulet. Touch, smell, sight, hearing, it covers everything. Once you give it an activation word you can turn it on and off at will. It will also change as you grow so it should work for the rest of your life." Braun gave a wane smile. "I was going to wait to give it to you until we parted ways, but the way things look I may not have much time left."
IC: Gabriel walked over to Kaz and put his hand on Kaz's forehead for a moment. "OK, I've got it. Thanks for your help Marea."
"Anytime, good luck."
With that the group disappeared in a flash of light.
OOC: Drognan, would you be so kind as to describe our arrival please.
Kaz glared at Braun, "Hold your tounge Braun, do not be saying that, Nerull and Teron will not get lose, and you will be perfectly fine after this."
Vor'en smirked at Kaz and thought, He really has a good friendship for this Braun..
Vor'en spoke after, "Lets go then, Kaz and myself can take us there, everyone ready?"

"Well I wanted dangerous adventure, so I guess this is what I wanted," the young prince remarked. The others could see the back of his cloak twitch as his tail continued to twitch as it always did when he was nervous.

OOC Haha we all posted at the same time :D
OOC: Draconis, write your response to Braun's statements, then Drognan can post the arrival of the party.

10-11-2003, 04:18
Kurt looked at the amulet, at least there was something positive out of this.
"Thank you," he said with a smile.
The group arrive in a great hall. The hall is littered with arts, and pictures of technology over time. There are also pictures of Dragons upon the wall, and in the end of the hall, two huge doors stand closed. The group walks to the end of the hall, seeing pictures of different people, and also a picture of Kaz and Vor'en.
OOC space for character reactions, then the entrance to double doors...
"There is much ancient power contained within these walls." Gabriel mused.
Braun reached up to pet the back of Marciel's neck. Preoccupied by interal matters he was seeking reassurence from the familiar. The great hall had little impression on him at the moment.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 04:30
Kurt was aweinspired by the great hall. He looked around at all the pictures, he even recognised Kaz and his brother in one of them. This was a night that he would never forget.
They enter the double doors, and about twenty feet into the room, stairs lead up about one flight. A throne sits upon there, and a tall man with silver hair sits.
Vor'en and Kaz kneel on one knee before the steps and in unison, "Emperor Kale, We are in need of the research facility."
The man stands, his height reaching over 6'7 at least. "Kaz and Vor'en, I told you, there is no need for formality with me." He gave a slight laugh. "What for? and what did you do to your face Kaz?"
Kaz and Vor'en raised. Kaz spoke, "We need the facility for research on your.. brother, Kale. And the damage is from your brother.."
Kale's expression turned to anger, "What about my useless rebel brother? Why did he do thoes things?"
"Sir, all will be explained in due time, time is of essence right now, please, grant use."
"Dont call me sir, just Kale, now go to the facility, you will be allowed in and the top magican scientists will be there, now go."
"How are you holding up Braun?" Gabriel asked.
"OK for now, but it's gotten to the point where even I can sense his power growing. I don't know how much longer me and Marciel can hold him at bay. It's so tiring."
"Don't worry, we'll think of something. Arthur, best get our dimensional pocket lab ready for use."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 04:41
Kurt was holding up the amulate again, he was trying to work out things about it.
"Er Braun do I have to set the word for it or does it already come with one?" he asked.
"Hold it, concentrate on it, and then think of the word or phrase you want it to activate with. After that, all you have to do is say the word or phrase out loud while wearing it and it will activate it. Do it again and it will deactivate." Braun said.
The group walks down the hall again. Kaz looks back to the group, "That was our emperor, and as you can see, he dosen't care for formality... Now lets go, this spot right here." Kaz walks into what looked to be a tube like beam. As each person enters, they see a white room, with all kinds of gadgets everywhere, from alchemey items, to a fordge in the far left corner. There were five people inside, all magician scientists.
One of them spoke, "Welecome Kaz, what is it you need to do?"
Kaz looked to Gabriel, "This man can explain it, he knows the full extent of the problem. Please explain, Gabriel."
"This staff and Braun here hold the essense of the soul of the God of trickery, chaos and death, Nerull. This crystal holds another soul of great evil and power. The two are resonating and strengthening each other. In a wek at most both will break free of their containment if somehting is not done. And should Nerull escape he will have finally obtained control of a coporeal body, that of my friend here, and will be unstoppible. For the moment I have managed to partially seal the crystal and slow the process, but it will not hold for long."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 04:51
"Right," Kurt said.
He held onto the amulate and concentrated on it, think of, 'Blue scarlet.'
"Here goes time for a test run," he said looking at Braun. "Blue Scarlet."
The young prince could only grin as he watched his hands turn to that which resembled human hands. "It works," he grinned
"And you don't have to worry about anyone touching you either, this particular illusion is total."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
10-11-2003, 04:57
Kurt smiled, "That is good then, no one feels the fuzz," he said.
OOC: sorry guys, gotta hit the sack.
OOC: OK, goodnight, I don't know if I'll be on tomorrow as I'm going home, but I'll try. And the night after that is D&D so I'll be unavailible then.
The head scientist looked to the group, "This will take a day at least to find any problems. You with the staff, holder of Nerull's soul, you stay, and Kaz, you stay for you imprisoned Teron in the crystal. And you, Gabriel, is it? Stay, your knowledge is needed. If the rest of you would leave, that would be good."
The headscientist took the crystal over to the alchemy table, and began brewing a potion. Another scientist was at the forge, forming some flame molten substance, and the rest were working with magic on a sword.
Vor'en left through the portal once again, and waited in the hall, for now.
A large holograpic console with several screens and a keyboard appeared in front of Gabriel. Arthur faded out and began to analyze the data in his own fashion. Gabriel quickly began to manipulate the various key and buttons causing various graphs and charts to appear on the screen. Braun meanwhile seated himself in the corner and began to play one of the most ancient tunes he knew. It was a tale of broken love, betrayel and an eventual unltimate sacrifice. It fit his mood very well.
OOC: im going to hit it also, so just have the group working on things for right now, we will continue whenever you feel ready, grimdale. unless you want to go for abut 5 mins, because i really need to get sleep, gotta get up at three am my time, and its almost ten, and you dont want to know me when im cranky hahahaha
OOC: No problem, go get some sleep. I'll try and get back on-line tomorrow evening.
OOC ok, cya thanks we can go whenever else, cya

Kurt was becoming restless aws he had nothing to do and didn't know what he could do to help.
Gabriel looked up at the various charts and graphs. "Arthur, bring up the charts for the cordial stimulus and cross refrence it with the typical conversion rate." Looking at the data that came up he brought up several other charts. One in particular showed a red bar side by side with a green one, with the red one much longer. "This isn't right, the green one should be longer than the red one. Arthur, did the colors get reversed?"
"No Gabriel, we must be missing data."
"But what data could we be... I'm an idiot." Gabriel manipulated several of the buttons and the green bar increased until it was slightly longer than the red one. "I completely forgot the effects of the bond on the situation. Arthur, compile the data and get me a time frame based on these numbers. Everyone you might want to come over here and look at this."
"Hey kid, you're Kurt right?" The voice came out of thin air.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
11-11-2003, 18:25
Kurt almost jumped as he hadn't been expecting anyone to talk to him, he felt like they had all forgotten he was there.
"Er.. yeah!" he said after a brief silence, looking around to see who the voice belonged to.
"Hi, it's me Arthur." A holographic image of a young man dressed as a soldier popped into place next to Kurt. "Sorry about that, didn't mean to startle you, Gabriel wants you to join us in the lab. If you'll follow me please."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
11-11-2003, 23:24
"Oh right," the prince replied.
He sighed and followed the hologram, he wondered what they wanted him for at the lab.
Kaz and the head scientist came to see the charts for Gabriel. The scientist looked at them and said, "Is all that to mean what I think it means?"
Kaz looked to the charts also, "I think so.. Gabriel, explain please.."

Following the hologram, Kurt stepped into the lab. His eyes quickly looked for either Kaz or Braun.
IC: Gabriel tapped a key and the many diffrent screens condensed into one large screen with a single graph on it. "This red line here indicates the amount of mental pressure being exerted on Braun and Marciel's mental processes by Nerull. As you can see Braun and Marciel currently have a slight margin of power, but the balance is slowly shifting." A large countdown appeared over the computer, it read 74:53:36. "That folks is the amount of time we have left before Braun and Marciel's concusnesses are entirely occupied in restraining Nerull. After that we're living on borrowed time, which is however long they can hold out." A series of numbers and symbols appeared on the screen. "On a good note, I've discovered on what wave lengths the energy is being passed between the crystal and the staff. It's occuring on the Heinlein band. Unfortinately since it's a band so rarely used for anything I've never bothered developing a way to jam it. If we can't stop the process and then reverse it, my recommendation is that we find a spot as deserted of life as possible to minimize casualties and try and face Nerull. That's one of the reasons I asked Kurt here. Kurt, from now until whenever this is over, your getting sword practice from Arthur. Worst case scernario, we'll need every sword hand we can get."
OOC: I'm at home tonight with a busted wrist, so if you guys are up to it, we can play.
Kaz looked to Gabriel, "There will be NO fighting of Nerull, and Braun WILL make this fine, we WILL develope a way to stop this." Kaz's face was full of worrie, but he kept a positive look.
The head scientist shook his head, then looked to Gabriel, "If your charts are correct, then we must hurry. Only time, their will power, and our developments will affect the outcome, now we need to work, what do you specifically need done Gabriel?"
OOC whatcha do to your wrist grim? and lets go but dont go if it hurts ur wrist RL probs are more important then these things. :D
IC: Gabriel began to tick points off on his fingers. "First, we should probibly find some way to jam this transmittion of energy. Two, we need to find out just where the hell this energy is coming from and why it only started when the crystal and staff were both in existance at the same time. Three, we need to find a way to reverse the effects. And four, despite Kaz's optimism, we should prepare for the worst, I for one am not going to stake the fate of the world on the hope we succeed. We know how the energy is being transmitted, and we know the two essenses involved. Our fifth, final, and possibly most importent thing to achieve, is to get information on this phenomenon."
Braun stepped up and put a hand on Kaz's shoulder. "Gabriel's right, we can't assume that we can stop Nerull in time, as much as I hope that end up being the case, I won't let innocents suffer should that prove to be a false hope."
OOC: Advanced Carpral Tunnel Syndrom. The doctor injected my wrist with something and it's killing me. But don't worry, it's not the first time I've typed with one hand. And is anyone going to object to Gabriel simply taking the role of leader in this group?
Vor'en had entered before Gabriel said the things they needed to do, "Will only swords and magics stop him? or can a large military of profesionals stop him?"
Kaz shook his head and looked down, he said nothing because of his fear of everything right now. It was something very unusual for him.
The scientist looked to Gabriel again, "Tell, what do you need us scientists to do for you then?"
"If those who are already here cannot stop him, mere rank and file will have no hope. As for what you can do, research this crsytal, study this wavelength, any idea, no matter how insane needs to be considered. Understand that just because you believe something is impossible doesn't mean it is for me. After the first trillion years or so you learn that impossible as a word has no real meaning. Myself and Arthur can only come up with so many theories and do so much research. And as much as I hate to admit it, my talent for origional think is not what it used to be. That and I'm not as familer with the laws that form the basis of this dimension as you are. You have the context, I have the knowledge, and hopefully the means, togeather we have to be able to come up with something."
OOC: Anyone going to suggest destorying the crystal?
Draconis Nightcrawlis
12-11-2003, 20:50
Kurt nodded in understanding, who would have thought that a quiet drink in the tavern would have led to this. Maybe he should have just kept himself to himself, or even listened to Damon and stopped going there altogether. Still what was done was done and after all he had wanted adventure, but this kind he hadn't been expecting.
"I hope that it won't have to come to a confrontation," he sighed.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
12-11-2003, 20:52
"Wait, what if you destroyed the crystal?" Kurt suddenly thought.
OOC Might as well be Kurt suggesting that :D
Gabriel tapped his chin in thought. "That just might work." He looked over at Kaz and the scientists with an inquiring eyebrow. "What do you think, will destroying the soul within the crystal stop this. And more importently, is there still a body for the soul to inhabit so it can be destroyed? Just why was it trapped in that crystal in the first place anyway?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
12-11-2003, 21:07
Kurt was surprised, he had expected them to tell him that was a stupid idea as it would mean realeasing the soul trapped inside.
"It could be a prison," Kurt suggested, "I once read about some tribe that would imprison the souls of its enemies in crystals."
"Yes Kaz, why did you seal him in there rather than simply killing him? At the time I didn't ask any questions since it was none of my business. But as you well know, matters have changed." Braun asked.
Kaz looked up to Braun, "Because a dragons sould can not be simply destroyed, so naturally, when a true dragon dies, it lets it's soul be taken into a crystal, in hope of providing good, which is why I collect them, to keep them for a greater good to all. But I could not let his soul go as he died, I was afraid of the problems that could have occured after his death, now we have this.." He looked down again, thinking. "A way to destroy the crystal.. Use the power and positive energy of all soul crystals to destroy his soul utterly? Would that be a possiblity?"
Gabriel's face took on a hard and pained look. "If you can get that soul back into it's origional body, I can destroy it, dragon soul or not. It is not something I do lightly, or even willingly, but desperate times call for desperate measures. My biggest concern would be that with it's newfound power we might have to kill whoever it is all over again, and he'll almost certainly be tougher to kill this time, but I should be able to manage it."
Braun spoke up. "Has anyone considered that this might be all part of some great plan of Nerull's? The manipulation of my father into both creating the staff and putting the wielder of hte staff in a position to seemingly entrap him. Simply to allow him to obtain a coporeal body. I mean twenty odd years may seem like a long time to most of us, but it's nothing for a god. And do not forget, he is the god of trickery as well as chaos and death."
Gabriel replied. "I certainly wouldn't put it past him, but there is one thing he couldn't have planned on, and that's my presence. I had never even visited this dimension when this whole thing started. So he can't possibly have planned on my being around to throw a monkey wrench into whatever he might have planned. It would not be the first so called god who has tripped over the fact of my existance. And if anyone is wondering what happend in those cases, the simple fact of my standing here should be answer enough."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
13-11-2003, 00:32
"This is really bad isn't it?" Kurt asked.
Vor'en looked to Gabriel, "There may be a body left. But would Kaz's Idea work? Using the souls of good to destroy the sould of bad? and if not, I am sure Kaz would perfer to destoy fully, his foe. and I would help him as well, considering he is the one who ended up getting me to the point I had to be dewinged."
Kaz looked up, "Yes, but if we do fight, it will be only me and Vor'en, circumstances of you getting involved are different, and it is something we really need to do for our nation.."
"My way will not involve the destruction of good souls to destroy the one in the crystal, however, it is your decision. I will not force one upon you. however know that should I destroy it, it will be a destruction even more complete than that which the Seelen Fresser can achieve. Whatever your decision, make it soon, for time grows short."
Kaz slammed his fist down on he alchemy atble, shaking some vials and gathering the attention of all the other scientists, "I dont care anymore! I just want something that works and will save Braun and cause the least number of casualties possible, but if he is to be set lose from the crystal let me and Vor'en fight him!"
Vor'en looked to Kaz from his sudden outburst, then said, "Calm yourself brother, we need to think this through, but it is ture, that Gabriel must know the best way to destroy him and stop nerull once and for all, am I right Gabriel?"
"Gentlemen, calm yourselves. If the body is still relitively intact, I can force the soul to take residence in it once again, and should the body regain life, once it is dead again the soul will be destroyed. Souls, like everything else in the universe are at their very basis energy constructs, and energy constructs are something I can destroy. However, there is no guarentee that this will stop the process, at the very least it should keep us from having to deal with both problems at once. I may be nearly drained of energyat the moment, but between the three of us we should be able to handle him." Gabriel gave Kaz a hard look. "You wish for blood to stain your blade, you shall have your wish before the day is out. Kurt you had best start your sword practice with Arthur while we deal with this. Kaz, Vor'en, if you'll be so kind, the sooner we get this done with the better. Take us to the body."

"Right," Kurt replied, glumly.
As much as he liked the idea of sword practice, he really wasn't in the mood for it but he knew he had to. Arthur motioned for the prince to follow him and so he did. Arthur led the prince back out into the corridor.
OOC: There is a training room around here isn't there?
OOC the nearest training room, or should i say 'zone' is in the military baracks, so just do it in the corridor, no one is here right now, on the exception o other inquisitors, but dont worry
will post IC post ASAP

"This shall be as good enough place without going to the barracks," Arthur told the prince, who just nodded. "Well then, I would like to see your sword."
Kurt reluctently handed the sword to him. he then watched Arthur inspect it, his tail twitched with nervousness.
"Very nondescript," he commented, "but it decieves the eye as it is a very fine sword."
He then passrd it back to the prince who by then had removed the cloak and revealled himself to be wearing a white shirt and black trousers. Arthur smiled.
IC: "The first thing to know is the type of sword you have there is called a rapier. Unlike a foil it has an edge so you can slash someone with it. However the blade isn't heavy enough to block a block from anything heavier like a longsword. The key to the rapier is speed, both with your body and with the sword. Aim for critical points like the eyes, throat and heart. If your opponent is using a heavier weapon, wait for an opening, get in close and strike. If he's using a lighter blade, remember that you have an edge, use it, knock his blade away. Now lets begin." A rapier that looked identical to the one Kurt carried appeared in Arthur's hand.
OOC: Don't forget that your sword will help you, it's partially sentient.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
13-11-2003, 02:20
Kurt held up his rapier in readyness. He expected Arthur to make a move pretty quickly.
"This is my first lesson," he reminded him.
Arthur grinned. "Don't worry I'll go easy on you. We only have time to go over the basics, those combined with your sword's innate abilities ought to at least make sure that your more of a help than a hindrence in a fight." Arthur make a deliberatly slow overhead strike and was met by the sound of clashing metal. "Very good, now again."

Kurt made a move again, swinging his sword towards Arthur. His tail was helping him keep balance as he swung.
Arthur sidestepped the blow and then stepped inside Kurt's sword and laid a quick slash across his chest. "Be glad that's not a real blade and I'm not going for the kill. You got excellent balance and speed. Once you get the moves down to the point they're automatic and instinctive, no one whose normal should be able to touch you. Let's try that again, but this time don't over extend yourself so much."
"Lets go to his body then.." Kaz said, preping to teleport them to the site. "Take my hand or arm or whatever, lets just go, I have the crystal. Vor'en, come."
Vor'en came over, and took hold of Kaz's shoulder. "Lets go Gabriel."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
13-11-2003, 03:03
Kurt nodded and took a deep breath before starting again. This time he watched for Arthurs movements. He stepped closer to his opponent and swung towards him.
OOC Sorry, RPing sword fights were never my strong point :?
IC: Arthur's body shimmered for a moment where Kurt's blade passed through. "Excellent, you're learning to read your opponent. Now let's practice some basic defensive moves."
Gabriel clapped a hand on Kaz's shoulder. "Let's do this. Arthur, continue to moniter, anything changes, let me know immediately."
"Got you boss." Came vaguely from the direction of the holographic computer. "And just so you know, this kids shaping up pretty well."
"Good glad to hear it. Hold the fort till we're back. Let's go Kaz."
OOC: Hey, this is my first attempt at one myself, so don't be so rough on yourself.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
13-11-2003, 03:26
"Alright," Kurt replied, getting himself ready once again.
"When an opponent comes directly at you with his sword you can either move your body out of the way, or if his sword is light enough you can bash it aside, either he should then be open for you get a strike in. With a rapier one hit should be all you need if you hit a vital point. Now I'm going to come at you, I want you to either knock my attack aside, or dodge, and then hit me, got it? Good." With that Arthur lunged straight at Kurt.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
13-11-2003, 19:59
Kurt was ready this time. Their swords clashed in a clanging of metal. The prince pulled his sword back and swung at Arthur once more.
IC: Once again Arthur's body shimmered where Kurt's sword went through. Arthur stepped back. "Good, you've got the basics down, now we're going to repeat all these steps until you do them without thinking about it."
OOC: How about we just assume the training continues in the backgroud of the story until the party returns?
Draconis Nightcrawlis
13-11-2003, 22:43
OOC Sure
OOC: Just a note, I'm going out of town and won't be back till at least Sunday afternoon EST. I apologise for the inconvince and hope we can all pick up where we left off Sunday night. Drognan, have we teleported yet?
OOC: yes, RL has been hectic, so sorry for missin for a while, better post while i still can... Hope i have everyone thats going to the place...
IC As Kaz, Vor'en, and Gabriel appear on a mountain's cliff. To the side, they see a makeshift grave, the holdings of Teron. Kaz pulled the crystal, and handed it to Gabriel, "Here, his body is in the.. grave."
Vor'en waked over to the grave and inspected it, seeing no distrurbances have arrisen. "When ever you two are ready, we will keep him from getting away, as wll as Nerull, now shall we?" He said, as he bagan casting a spell. A pair of great flaming wings, as before, grew upon his back, and he backed from the grave.
Gabriel slashed his hand through the air and the dirt blew out of the grave as if from an explosion. With a flick of his wrist Gabriel levitated the battered body out of the grave and set it on the ground next to the hole. Gabriel took the crystal and placed it on Teron's chest. Closing his eyes his hand and the crystal glowed for a moment before the crystal began to melt into the body. As Teron's eyes opened Gabriel's sword was at his neck in a second. A gleaming blade of purest white, it reflected the faint light. "You know why you've been brought back, we can either do this the easy way or the hard way, your choice."
Arthur's voice rang in Gabriel's mind. "Gabriel, the energy transfer has gone off the scale back here! Finish it fast!" At just that moment a blast of black energy erupted from Teron, blowing Gabriel back several feet. As Teron rose to a standing position Gabriel's eyes narrowed. "Dammit, I can't do anything with this much energy flowing through him, we've got to wear him down."

Arthur had allowed Kurt to have a rest and the blue elf leaned against the wall, rapier still in hand. He was sure that he was ever improving. Not by much but he could still tell that he was better then before.
"You're a quick learner, a few more hours of practice and you should at least be able to hold your own in a serious fight. At the very least you'll never have to worry about traveling alone again."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
16-11-2003, 02:03
Kurt managed a weak smile. "Yeah!" he replied, "I used to have to teleport between my bedroom and the tavern so I didn't travel alone."
OOC: Holding for Drognan.
IC: "Well, when we're finished here you won't need to do that anymore if you don't want to. You've got the makings of an expert swordsman. Keep up your training and you'll go far with a blade."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
16-11-2003, 03:32
"I will definately be keeping up my sword practice," he assured him. "Though I will proberly have to keep it a secret from my family."
"Why should you have to keep it a secret from your family? It's good exercise, it allows you to defend yourself and others, and it's a perfectly acceptible talent."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
16-11-2003, 22:55
"They don't approve of either my sister or I using swords," the prince explained. "Nor would they approve of the way that I started training in the first place. They rejected it when I asked permission to take up sword training before."
Arthur rubbed his chin. "I think Gabriel would be willing to intercede on your behalf once this mess is taken care of. It's been a few million years since he had a vacation and this seems like a nice enough world. I don't think he'd mind having you as a student." A grin split Arthur's face. "I should warn you though, when it comes to training of any sort he's a much stricter instructer than I am. He drives his students on the rare occasion he takes any almost as hard as he drives himself."

16-11-2003, 23:32
Kurt sighed. "I suppose my parents were bound to find out about my late night trips to the tavern sooner or later anyway," he then admitted. "I guess I should tell them about this."
The young prince shook his head slowly. He knew that he would be in a lot of trouble, but he knew he could hide it for long. Especially not by the fact that he had no idea how long he had been gone.
"You shouldn't worry about your parents finding out, they already know. They should have gotten the message Gabriel sent a few hours ago. They know your in good hands."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
17-11-2003, 00:27
Kurt suddenly felt faint. His parents already knew? Now he knew he was in alot of trouble.
"Don't be like that. If they hadn't been informed your entire country would have been in an uproar by now. Besides, Braun and Gabriel have taken responsiblity for you. And they both have more of a reputation than I think you've realised. They won't let you get in any trouble with your parents."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
17-11-2003, 00:38
"I hope not," Kurt sighed. His tail flicked nevously again.

OOC: Drognan, are you here? We're kind of killing time while we wait for your next post.

OOC: Guess RL is holding him hostage :(
Arthur moved in with a lighting quick series of lunges and cuts.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
17-11-2003, 02:34
Kurt twisted his body as he fought him off with his sword. It seemed that Arthur wasn't kidding about not being gentle. Still the young prince tried his best at fighting him off.
Faking a high lunge Arthur suddenly dropped to the floor and sweep Kurt's legs from under him. Arthur extended him a hand to help him up. "Remember, in a fight to the death anything goes so long as it means your the one left standing."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
17-11-2003, 02:58
Kurt nodded, he would have to remember that next time. He couldn't always rely on his abilities, not like his father said he could.
"Do you know what's going on in the lab?" he asked with curiosity as he dusted himself off.
"Braun's composing a group of spell songs for the upcoming fight, Marciel's sleeping, and the scientists are still running tests. Nothing much can really be done until those three return. And from the flashes I'm getting from Gabriel things aren't going as well as he'd hoped."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
17-11-2003, 03:27
"That doesn't sound good then," Kurt said, biting his lower lip. "I hope things get better."
"He'll manage, he always does. It's just that the years are begining to catch up even to him. Biologically he's close to 70. He's just not quite as fast or strong as he used to be. The millenia have not been kind to him."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
17-11-2003, 03:42
The young prince brushed his hair aside as it had fallen in front of his eyes, next time he used a sword he would know to tie it back. Thought of what his parents were going to say when he got back still filled his mind. They were strict but maybe not as strict as they should be.
"I still hope they can avoid a major fight," Kurt said.

OOC: This is the last part that involves you, the rest has been me and Draconis RPing sword practice and discussing the meaning of the universe. "Dammit, I can't do anything with this much energy flowing through him, we've got to wear him down."
OOC: And Drognan, I'd just like to say it's good to see you back.
As Teron stood, black mist began to risefrom the ground, seeping up his legs, then to his back. They took the form of black wings, black wings that gave a feeling of death. His hand had a sword shaped mist in it, that turned solid, and oozed a black mist as well.
"Ready to die?" He said, in a pure dead evil voice, his red and blue eye glowing faintly.
OOC soory, thats all i can post for now, damn RL pulled me back sorry will post again tomorrow
"Been there, done that, didn't care for it." Gabriel said as a white mist surrounded his left arm, swirling up to his hand it suddenly blasted out in a line of white fire, striking Teron in the chest.

Kurt leaned against the wall thinking. It would have been much simpler had he just stayed in bed, but no he just had to sneak out to the tavern. He knew that his father will keep this incident out of the public as his father was always secretive about the family, especially when it came to the family history and its origin.
"Don't you ever get a chance to go out and have fun, go for a hike in the woods, a swim in the ocean, anything like that. I find it hard to believe that your parents never let you out of their sight if they can help it." Arthur said from where he stood in the middle of the hallway.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2003, 03:12
Kurt shook his head. "No," he said. "There are certain things that I can't do since given the chance there are plenty of gangs that would just love to kidnap me and hold me for ransom. Draconis Nightcrawlis is considered to be the safest nation in the region, but there is an underworld in Exetergrecia that just seems to pop out out of nowhere." Kurt stood quietly for a moment before say, "The safety of my sister and I is of great importance to our parents, especially since a brief lapse in security allowed a gang to kidnap Talia when she was six."
Arthur's face hardend and for a moment his image wavered as if a tremor of some type had passed through it. "No one, and I mean no one has the right to ever threaten a child. Those responsible are very luckly that Gabriel was not around when it happened. He is absolutely unforgiving when the young or innocent are harmed. As am I." Arhtur's face softened. "However you should not both be forced to live a life trapped in a castle, unable to see the world because of fear. And how can your parents expect you to be a good and decent ruler if you do not know the people over whom you rule. Something will most definately be done about this when this matter is over."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2003, 03:27
"Braun gave me an amulet that allows me to change my appearence, so I can do that while looking human," Kurt then explained. "It is for my own safety and I respect that. I do know the people, as there are times that I can meet them."
"Regardless, I think that Gabriel is most definately going to have to talk to your parents. Sword traing, ability to go out in public without problems for both you and your sister. Oh yes, there are most definately going to be changes. You might as well resign yourself now to the fact that your going to end up with Gabriel as a bodyguard and tutor once you get home. I don't think he'll stand for anything less. And he's stubborn, and persuasive enough to convince even people like your parents."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2003, 03:35
A smile crept over Kurts face. "If he did become my bodyguard then at least would be kidnappers would stay away," he remarked.
"They would at that." Arthur acknowledged.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2003, 03:57
"Would proberly scare off everyone else too," the young prince laughed.
"He's not that bad really, put him in a crowd and he blends in just fine. He was fully human once in the time before I met him. The changes are only on the inside, not the outside. He can be quite friendly and charming when circumstances allow. It's just that right now he's worried about Braun. He's lost too many friends over the years for him to take a threat to one's life with anything other than the utmost seriousness."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2003, 04:20
"How long have you known him?" Kurt asked.
"A very, very long time. If I were to put in numbers it would be so big as to be meaningless to you. I doubt even he knows how long it has been. He once asked me. "After the first few trillion years, does time really matter?" And looking at it that way I have to say no. But it appears that even he is not completely immune to entropy. Time has left him scarred and battered inside."

"So in other words you have known him for longer then my kingdom has existed?" he asumed.
OOC ok...
IC As Teron wa hit by the blast, he didn't even budge, and still had an evil grin on his face, "Is that all?" He said, his voice a dead gruff tone.
Kaz took a step towards Teron, "Your main fight is with me and Vor'en, Teron, now lets go." He looked to Gabriel, "Let me and Vor'en weaken him, you can finish him, you will need all your power to take him down," He looked to Vor'en as he equipted a pair of blade tallons similar to the ones that Teron used, only they were flaming.
Vor'en looked to Kaz as he straped them, "Lets go!" He said as he lunged at Teron, followed by Kaz, both brothers trying to fight him in unison, but Teron seemed to be simply blocking all without effort.
"Damnit!" Kaz yelled as his left arm and hand began to charge with an electrical energy. Vor'en's right arm and hand did the same, only with a flame. Both fighting, still both arms gaining their energy.
"Kurt, in the amount of time I have known him, this universe would have been created and destroyed thousands of times. The length of time this kingdom has existed is but a microsecond of a microsecond on the clock of eternity that we travel."

Kurt was surprised, he hadn't even noticed that he was gaping in surprise. "How is that possible?" he asked.
Flush with the excitement of battle Gabriel seemed to shed years, where's before he seemed tired and somewhat run down, now he exuded energy and confidence. "That was just a warm up, try this on for size." With that Gabriel seemingly burst into white flame, a blindingly white aura surrounded him, and energy seemed to pour from his mouth and eyes. His sword blade blazed with white fire. "All that is darkness must fall and cower before the light." He said as he suddenly shifted, appearing directly behind Teron, his sword slashing down and biting deep into Teron's shoulder.

OOC Just to let you guys know, I've gone to bed.
Arthur hesitated for a moment, trying to decide how much to tell Kurt, and finally deciding that telling him most of Gabriel's story would cause no harm. "It's something of a long story, but I'll try to keep it short. On the earth he lived on, which is located in another dimension, a full scale nuclear, biological and chemical war broke out when he was only seventeen. Nothing on the planet survived the combination of fallout, chemicals, and diseases unleashed. Nothing except him, somehow he was exposed to just the right amount and combination of radiation and chemicals and viruses that his body adapted and survived. He was forced to watch his family die one after the other from radiation poisoning and diseases. For a time he went insane, as would anyone realising they were the last thing alive on a planet. But his torment didn't end there, no it was only just begining. He couldn't die, he'd stopped aging, wounds would heal within moments, his body absorbed and used the radiation for energy, energy he learned to manipulate and control. Eventually, after what must have been close to a hundred years he managed to regain his sanity. He spent his time learn what he could from the remains of civilization, many books and other learning devices had survived the death of their creators. Eventually he stumbled across an intact bunker. It had been used to house an attempt by his government to unlock the secrets of time and dimensional travel. Ironically they managed to succeed only days before the holocaust occured. When the war broke out all the scientists left to find their families and none of them returned. The AI used in the program had maintained the base all those years. That AI was myself. We decided to used my dimension and time travel capabilites along with his abilites to try and prevent what happened to his world from happening to any other. Since then we've both grown in knowledge and power. He once said he was the Guardian Angle of the universe, forever destined to roam the endless dimensions protecting others. The rest as they say is history. Does that answer your question Kurt?"

"Wow, yeah that answers my question," Kurt replied with a nod.
A small smile crossed Arthur's face. "I thought it might. I left out a lot of details, but I see you've gotten the gist of it."

Kurt nodded, "If he wishes that I know any more I guess he'll tell me himself," he replied.
Teron growled as he was hit in the back by the blade. As he started to turn back to swing at Gabriel, Vor'en and Kaz put their arms charged power arms togather and shot a stream of flame, with an electrical bolt spiraling the flame. It hit Teron's stomach, and he screamed, as he was being electricuted and his clothing afire.
Kaz and Vor'en stoped, for they were waisting to much energy within the attack, and readied to attack full on, when Teron disolved into a black mist, and drifted along he floor to Kaz and Vor'en. they took flight to get away, and began to shoot electric bolts and flaming bolts at the mist.
Kaz zipped over to the side of Gabriel in the air, and Vor'en did the same, but the mist caught him. It began to stop him, as it traveled up his leg, and slowly began to consume his outside body. He yelled as it was, and as it got up to his neck, his flame wings burst into an inferno, as did his whole body, elimintating the mist upon him. What was left of the mist went to the ground, and reformed Teron in a Human state once again, same as before.
"No control tricks this time Teron!" Vor'en yelled. He was now looking to be a fire elemental, his whole body a flame.
Teron laughed, "You already had to resort to your elemental form? How sad.." He shook his head, and shot a black bolt at Vor'en. Kaz jumped to it, and used his greatsword to divert the shot. The white mist upon his blade growing brighter.
"None of that Teron, You will die and never disturb us again after this!" Kaz yelled, as his eyes began to glow and become a bright glowing white.
"Now you already Kaz? Resorting to an elemental? How weak and pathetic, I expected much more out of you.." Teron said, as he launched himself up and began attacking Kaz and Vor'en.
Vor'en diverted back, and began chanting. A flame began to form arround Teron, and Teron simply brushed it away. He ignored and simply avoided Kaz's attacks, and shot himself at Gabriel, sending himself with his sword aimed straight for Gabriel's face.
As had happened before, the world slowed for Gabriel until everything around him seemed to stop. To other eyes it appeared as if he simply vanished he moved so fast. He brought his blade down on Teron's, it slicing effortlessly through it and then brought the sword back around, cutting it deep into Teron's side. As Gabriel came to a stop several feet behind Teron the world sped back up. It had all happened in less time than it took to blink. Teron's broken sword blade clattered to the ground with a ringing sound.
"Is there anything else you want to know about him?" Arthur asked.

"I don't know at the moment," Kurt admitted.
"Then why don't you tell me something about yourself?"

Arthur shrugged. "Anything you care to tell me. What your life is like, what you do, your past."

Kurt shrugged, "Well my life is pretty good, could always be worse," he said, leaning lazily against the wall. "Past, well my past isn't really exciting and I've told you the only major thing worth telling. Then theres my parents past, they don't really say much about it, only that my father became King twenty years ago."
"You say he just became king, how, did he marry into it or something?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2003, 04:21
"Well I guess he inherited the throne from his father," the prince shrugged.
Teron laughed as his side was bleading, "You do not realize it yet, do you?" His voice, still a wertched sound. "It takes so much to hurt me, yet in the end it does nothing!" He then turned back to a black mist, the mist keeping his figure, and he reformed. He had no wound, and his sword was once again whole. "But sadly, this sword sucks."
Kaz groaned at the idea Teron simply regenerated. Vor'en looked at him, but you couldn't tell if he was looking directly due to his current form. Kaz's eyes began to dim, and he looked to his brother. "Do you think?"
Vor'en nodded, "Yes, but why so soon brother?"
Kaz looked back to Teron, as he swung a few swings at Gabriel, the two seeming to effortlessly fight. "We will need to sometime.. Otherwise this wont work and we will have failed. But unless Gabriel has something else.." Kaz looked back to Vor'en, "Not now, go back to your form and save your energy. Lets just tire the poor fellow after a long time..."
Vor'en's flames died, except for his wings, and he was once again, the way he was before. The both went zipping over to fight Teron, knowing not what to do right now.
"Blast, were running out of time, we've got to stop the energy transfer somehow. I didn't want to do this but it looks like I have no choice." Gabriel thought to himself. Dodging another sword thrust he locked swords with Teron, and with his free hand grapped Teron by the neck. Instantly he was in Teron's mind, racing down neural pathways until he found what he was seeking. As if a floodgate had opened Gabriel's thoughts slammed into the fragile network that constituted Teron's mind. Doors long shut were flung open. The image of his mother dying of radiation poisioning passed through his mind, another image, that of coming home to find his wife shot dead, countless images of those lost and forever gone, those he had failed. Trillions upon trillions of years of pain and hardship crashed into Teron's mind at the speed of thought. Gabriel found himself almost carried along by the torrent, mentally grasping one train of thought, honor, duty, sacrifice, those are the tenents of my life, I must prevail for the sake of others. Dimly Gabriel could hear two voices screaming in an agony dredged from the very pits of hell, and he realzied one of those voices was his. The world snapped back into focus around him. Teron fell over backwards as Gabriel collasped on his hands and knees. Teron's body was shuddering uncontrolibly. Suddenly starting from the center of his chest black flames broke out, gradually consuming his entire body until nothing was left.
"And that children, is why I don't take trips down memory lane very often." Gabriel said in a strained and hoarse voice.
Arthur looked up, "They won." was all he said.

Kurt breathed a huge sigh of relief, at least it meant that he would not be fighting and at least he knew that Gabriel would survive anything.
"All over then," he said. "Right?"
OOC: That was too easy... It couldn't be that easy to take someone down that is connected with Nerull, it just dont work like that, and if Gabriel could do that that easy, then something is wrong. but whatever...
Arthur shook his head. "Uh, uh. Not by a long shot. When Teron was released from the crystal the energy transfer rate skyrocketed. When Teron was destroyed the energy transfer stopped, but the energy level inside is still rising, just at a much slower rate. It should stop in a few hours. But the energy level will still be high enough to let Nerull escape. The only good news is that he won't simply overwhelm Braun and Marciel, they'll have a fighting chance. And at least we won't be dealing with Nerull and Teron at the same time. Either way however, we're in for a fight with Nerull. The question is will he have Braun's body to work with, or just his own. Whatever happens, I have to start making some preperations to properly welcome him. I suggest you head back to the lab and wait for the rest of the group to show up. See you around." With that Arthur's image blinked out of existance.
OOC: That was too easy... It couldn't be that easy to take someone down that is connected with Nerull, it just dont work like that, and if Gabriel could do that that easy, then something is wrong. but whatever...
OOC: Let me explain, faced with the culmination of Trillions of years of pain and trauma blasted into a unprepared brain. The soul goes insane. Despertly trying to escape the pain involved it can't and does exactly what many people do when pain becomes unbearible. It in effect commits suicide. Problem is, both sides in the transfer have to deal with the experiance. Besides, don't forget, we got to him before the energy transfer was complete, he wasn't at full power.
OOC well i have an idea for later, depending how this plays out...
Kaz and Vor'en simply brushed off the fact Teron was dead now, but they were still worried of Nerull, in which, they knew he was going to be a bigger problem.
"Lets go then." Both of them said, and they both took Gabriel and teleported back to the lab..

Kurt sighed, he should have known that it wouldn't be that easy. He put his sword back in its sheath and headed back into the lab. The young prince didn't completely under stand what was going on, it was still all a blur to him as he went into the lab to wait for the others.
When they got back to the lab they found Braun gloomily looking at the holographic timer. It read 00:34:21. He turned to the group. "It's almost time, I can already feel him trying to get out."
Arthur's voice came from out of the air explaining the situation to the group as he had explained it to Kurt.
OOC: Couple more posts and you're both in for a great fight scene.
OOC Grim, let me know when Nerull releases, i have an idea, so send tg please.
IC Kaz looked gloomly at Braun, "Come on Braun, you can hold him back, it is possible." His voice was sad, but had hope.
Vor'en shook his head slowly, and thought to himself, 'You know it's inevitable Kaz, yet you still have hope, something of a quality I never had..' He looked up to Braun, but said nothing.
OOC: He'll be coming out in the next post, but it's going to be a little while, this one's a doozy.
OOC: Almost done, sorry to have taken so long, there was a fire drill here.

OOC Dang NP
Braun was leaning back against the wall, eyes closed. Marciel was curled up in his lap, Braun’s hand resting lightly on the back of her neck. The timer finished its countdown and Braun’s awareness of the world around him disappeared. He found himself standing on a black featureless nothing. Behind Braun was a glowing white portal that he knew was the way back to reality. In front of him was Nerull himself, in all his dreadful glory, and behind Nerull, a swirling black vortex that pulled at Braun. Instinctively Braun knew it was his mind’s representation of the staff. Nerull spoke and his voice sent chills down Braun’s spine has it had done once before so many years ago. “This time it’s you who stand before a portal I must reach, but this time you do not have the Seelen Fresser, and your autoharp has no strings.”
Braun looked down and saw that his autoharp was indeed without strings. He looked back up at Nerull. “Be that as it may, but this time the fight is in my mind, and here I have the advantage.” With that, Braun pulled the autoharp around in front of him. “Marciel, for a lifetime you have lent me your mental strength, I ask that you do so again.” With that, Marciel appeared in front of Braun, turned into a glowing white light that moved over to the autoharp and formed itself into a string. “Fharlanghn, god of travelers whom I gave aid to so long ago. I ask know that you repay your debt to me.” An old man appeared, staff in hand and a backpack on his back. “It shall be done.” He intoned before he did the same thing as Marciel. “Quicksilver, on our adventures you lent me your speed and endurance, I ask that you do so again.” A silver-white horse appeared, neighed once and followed the previous two. “Father, I know you hold your hatred towards me still. But I offer you a chance to revenge yourself upon one who tricked you and set in motion the events that led to your death.” A fierce man-tiger appeared, black cape billowing out behind him. He said nothing, but another string was added to Braun’s autoharp, this one a pitch black. “Marea, your spells and advice have aided me on many occasions, please lend me your wisdom once more.” Marea’s figure appeared in front of Braun, smiled at him and yet another string was added to the autoharp. “Ottis, I took you under my wing and made you my apprentice, you lent me your courage and bravery on our travels. Please lend it once more.” A young man, lute strung over his shoulder and sword at his side appeared. A strumming of strings and another string was added. And so it went until only a single string remained to be replaced. This whole time Nerull merely stood watching, confident in his ever-growing power.
This time Braun had tears in his eyes as he spoke. “Gloria, my one and only love, you who taught me the true meaning of the word, and showed me tenderness when no one else would. You, to whom I made a promise I failed to keep, and for which failure you died. Please give me your spirit and love so that I can avenge your death and destroy he who took your life from you.” A young woman appeared in front of Braun, kissed him once gently on the lips and then the autoharp was complete.
Nerull laughed evilly. “Do you honestly think that such minor power can overcome me? The god of Death and Chaos? Enough stalling, your body and soul shall be mine.” With that, Nerull swiped his scythe through the air and a bolt of black energy blasted towards Braun. A strum on the autoharp and it turned into bunch of flowers that fell first to the floor and then through it. Braun’s eye’s hardened. “You will not use me to spread your evil as you have used so many others. I will not allow it.”
Golden fire played around Braun as the battle began in earnest. Spells, songs, and curses, flew back and forth between the two. The darkness was alight with light. It seemed to go on forever. Finally it stopped, neither party able to inflict serious harm on the other. Nerull’s voice was high pitched and sounded like claws on a chalkboard. “You may have been able to match me here in your own mind, but it shall be different in reality. I may not have your body, but I will have your soul.” With that Nerull raced past Braun and dived through the white portal, knocking him aside as he blocked with his autoharp. Seconds later Braun jumped through after him.
Back in the lab several minutes had passed since Braun and Marciel had gone catatonic. A dark blaze of light filled the room and Nerull hovered there. Tattered robes, a body that seemingly trailed off into nothingness below the chest, and black globes set in a skulled head.
“Deity shield is up, dimensional lock on, he’s not going anywhere.” Arthur said as he materialized in the form of a large wolf.
Braun stood up behind Nerull, a little unsteady, but looking gravely determined, staff in hand. Marciel was once again on his shoulder. Black pupilless eyes contrasting starkly with the white energy of Braun’s.
“Don’t let him touch you with that scythe or you’ll be done for.” Gabriel said as he drew his sword.
OOC nice, very nice.
IC Kaz and Vor'en stared in awe at the ghastly figure. The scientists scrambled to a corner as he appeared.
Kaz was somewhat scared when he asked, "What exactally are we going to do now?" His sword clutched in his hands.
Vor'en already had his hand claws equipted, and stood ready.
"We fight. Arthur's set up a field so he can't use most of his powers, and neither can he escape. This ends here." Gabriel said. "Let me deal with that soul stealing scythe of his, the rest of you do what you can. Braun, whatever you do, don't use the Seelen Fresser, I am not going through this again." With that Gabriel launched himself forward. His sword clashed with Nerull's scythe and the air between them crackled with black and white energy.
OOC This is inside the lab right? thats not good or am i wrong, did we teleport out of there?
OOC: No, we're in the lab, this is not going to be pretty. You might want to think about evacuating this building.

OOC I'm gonna have to go, its 4am and my brains fried.
OOC: OK, we can finish this tomorrow night. Sorry it took so long to make that post.
OOC not good... this is part of the emperors home... ok ill work with it..
IC Kaz yelled out, "Hope you guys can hold him for a while!" He looked to Vor'en, and said, "Ill get Kale out, you go get the rest of the area evacuated within a 20 mile radius, use the mass port if you have to brother."
"Kaz," Vor'en said, "Something is wrong, you know this right?"
Kaz looked down, then back up, "Do it now."
Kaz teleported out, and appeared in the throne room, as before.
"Emperor, we must leave this place." Kaz said, while kneeling before the steps.
The Large chair turned, and Kaz gasped, as if he was chocking.
"Welecome back Kaz... Never expected you to be calling me Emperor."
Teron was sitting upon the throne, almost purley denmoic. He was different now, and he wasn't the way he should have been, he was a half-dragon again, and he sported the full pair of wings. This time, he had a pair of demonic horns coming from right above the temples on his head.
"You bastard! Where is Diomedious! Tell me now!" Kaz stood, his blade drawn, and wings outstretched.
Teron rose, "He is safe.. in a place you wont know if you cant defeat me, because you will be dead. Dont be expecting to see him again Kazahan Lo. I am your new emperor, and I will crush all who appose me, inluding you. By the way, reconize these?" Teron was holding the same pair of gauntlets he was weaing as before. This time, several small shards of crystal were at each blade.
"You should die now and forever more, how could you have survived Gabriel's attack?" Kaz said, as he put a blue crystal into the tip of his sword, giving a large flash of lightning off his sword, blinding everything for a moment in the room.
"Easy, die. When Nerull's soul was released, so was mine, only I found this body, and it changed to look like mine."
"But how?"
"Simple, you die, and you will know, now lets go, your last moments on earth."
"They are your last Teron, forever."
OOC nice twist aye? Teron came back, but its different, which will be explained in the fight... it was to easy to get rid of him, so now he is back in full.
Gabriel could feel his energy ebbing as he clashed with Nerull. "Kurt, get those scientists out of here! Vor'en, a little help would be appriciated." He yelled.
A gray blur slammed into Nerull from the side, knocking him free of Gabriel. Arthur stood there, growling defiance, a shred of Nerull's cloak between his teeth.
A blast of fire enveloped Nerull from behind as Braun found his voice, but it seemed to have no effect.
Draconis Nightcrawlis

Kurt nodded, he then looked toward the scientists. "Follow me," he told them, motioning for them to follow him toward the nearest clear exit. With his sword drawn, he would make sure that the scientists got out safely.
"I'll be back when they're safe," he then offered.
IC: White and black clashed violently as sword and scythe collided again and again. Gabriel and Arthur worked almost as one being, no communication being needed between the two, they harried Nerull, one attacking, then the other darting in while Nerull was distracted.
"Why do you insist on fighting this hopeless battle? You cannot hope to win against the god of Death and Chaos. Surrender and I may be merciful and endevor to make your death realitivly painless." Nerull said to Gabriel as their blades locked yet again.
"You stand for everything I have fought against, pain, suffering, torment and death. Surrender is not an option, I will not let you win!" Gabriel practically yelled back in his face.
"Then I shall see to it that you die in the most painful way possible." A sudden surge of strength knocked Gabriel backward several feet.
"Know the pain of my Soul Reaver!" Nerull shouted. He pointed his scythe at Gabriel and a massive blast of dark energy raced towards him. It slammed into Gabriel's energy shield and for a moment they flared and flickered, both collapsing at the same moment. When it was over Gabriel was leaning heavily on his sword, a hand on the ground, exausted. Nerull struck again this time the energy shield flared for only a moment before collapsing. The darkness engulfed Gabriel, hiding him from view. When it passed Gabriel's body lay crumpled on the floor, hand still grasping his sword. But standing over the body was a figure eight feet tall, of pure white energy. In one hand it held a six foot sword while in the other was held a massive kite shield. It's body was covered in white plate armor that glowed so brightly it was nearly blinding to look at. From it's back stretched a pair of giant white wings made of pure energy. Two eyes from which white fire poured glared from under a glowing white helmet. Energy poured from the mouth which spoke with a voice that echoed as though it were distant thunder and caused the very building to shake. "Born to human mother, created by the gods of war and chance, and tempered in hellfire, I am the Guardian Angel! Those who stand behind me shall know the protection of my shield and those who stand before me shall know the wrath of my sword."
OOC: This is known as pulling out the big guns.
OOC: Anyone care to ask in character for an explination? A simple, "What the hell?" or it's equivilent will do.
Draconis Nightcrawlis

Kurt was about to leave through the door as the battle rage. The pure white energy caught his eye.
"What the..." He said, staring at it.
Arthur had dropped back towards the door to help Kurt with the scientists. "Not an easy explination, keep things short and simple. You're looking at an inner reflection of Gabriel, soul, will, determination, conscience, and several other things we've never really come up with a name for. It's happened before on a few occasions when Gabriel's body has simply been pushed far past even his limits. In this case Nerull's attempt to seperate Gabriel's soul from his body has backfired. It's a well of energy even Gabriel can't normally tap. Everyone has one, but most aren't powerful enough to manifest themselves like this." The wolf Arthur shook his head. "Entire galaxies have given way before that power, no mere god is going to stop it."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2003, 02:40
"But its good right?" Kurt asked.
"Yes and no. The power to defeat Nerull is there. The problem is in this form a lot of concepts, mostly along the line of collateral damage tend to get forgotten. And when we're talking this level of power, that's a lot of collateral damage."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2003, 02:51
"So what did we do?" the prince then asked, wishing he was safely tucked up in his bed back home in Draconis Nightcrawlis.
Arthur watched the last of the scientists disappear down the hallway. "That all depends on what Vor'en does. We're not in any danger. He won't let harm come to anyone if he can help it. However the same can't be said for this building. I certainly hope the Emperor was planning on remodeling, because quite a bit of this building won't be here when this fight is over. Speaking of Vor'en I wonder where Kaz is, he should have been back by now."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2003, 03:16
"A building can easily be replaced, lives can't," Kurt remarked.
"Very true. The question is what happens to a building that's had a large number of holes punched through it. I just hope Kaz has managed to get the evacuation underway. Everything not below the earth's curve is subject to having holes blown through it when the energy starts flying."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2003, 03:21
"That doesn't sound good," Kurt said with concern.
IC: "Hence the concerns about collateral damage."
OOC: Looks like Drognan isn't showing up tonight and we really can't go any further until he does.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2003, 03:28
Kurt just nodded, he didn't like the thought of so much damage being done.
OOC: Yeah, unfortunatly hes been real busy with RL at the moment.
OOC: It happens to all of us at one point or another.
Kaz took a fighting stance, as he prepaired for Teron's attack.
'Vor'en' Kaz said, sending a telepathic message to his brother. 'Evacuate now, what we felt was right, now get going!'
Teron Lunged at Kaz, and he parried the blow. They got into a fury of attacks, to blurry for the eye. They took flight in the massive dome like room, zipping arround everywhere.
Vor'en recieved the message, and went out, trying to avoid Nerull. He saw Arthur and Kurt, and said, "This is not good, I need to evacuate the place within a 50 mile radius, Teron is back as well, and the outcome of that fight may be the death to both of them, but something tells me, none of us can interfer with their battle, so we must help Gabriel, now do what you need, I will be back once orders have been told." With that he teleported out, and went to the military base...
Kaz swung a few hard blows at Teron, and teron dodged two, but was hit by the third. It hit so hard Teron was flung back like an old rag, into the wall. Sadly, Kaz did not hit him with the blade, but the flat blunt part.
Teron Groaned for a minute. "How did you hit me so hard?" He stood up from the ground, and looked up at Kaz flying.
"My father has always helped me before, he wont give up on me now." Kaz said, in a strong voice.
Teron cracked his back, and took flight again. He laughed, "Well your father was a strong dragon, but sadly you were his son.."
Kaz ignored his words, and attacked with a fury unlike before, with a full strength of the gods he never worshiped behind his attacks.
Teron zipped back, and then said, "Ever had old scars reopen to your loss Kaz? They hurt, just like old memories..." He snapped his finger, and the scar across Kaz's face begins to break out and bleed, causing him to scrinch up for a moment.
They began to fuke it out for a while again...
The being that was now Gabriel looked over at the rest of the group. "Go help Kaz, I'll deal with Nerull, this is personal." He said in that voice which shook the building. Arthur and Braun grabbed Kurt, ducked out the door and headed for the throne room.
Gabriel eyed Nerull. "Let's see how well the Guardian Angel fares against the God of Death and Chaos now shall we."
An evil grin crossed Nerull's face. "But of course, you first."
"My pleasure." A blast of white light that was as big around as a Greyhound bus lashed out enveloping Nerull. When it passed Nerull was still there but smoke was rising from his body, and behind him was a hole in the wall that seemingly went on forever.
"That was just a warm up, ready for me to get serious?" Gabriel asked.
Anger and rage suffused Nerull's face. "I do not know where you got such power, but it will avail you nought! Soul Reaver!" Again the black light blasted out, but it merely diffused when it hit Gabriel.
"Your attack is designed to remove a soul from a body, it is useless against a soul already released." Gabriel raced towards Nerull and bashed him with his shield, sending him flying sideways into a wall, demolishing it. Nerull came back with his scythe and Gabriel blocked with his shield. Energy crackled between the two with ever greater intensity as they sought to overcome each other by sheer power. Both were flung back and forth, quickly reducing the lab to rubble. Their fight began to spread as more and more of the castle fell beneath their blows, both phsyical, and energy.
As the group ran towards the throne room, behind them they could the sounds of battle and the floor shook beneath their feet with nearby explosions.
Vor'en nodded to a military leader in the base, feeling the ground shake.
He teleported out, and the Officer began orders, "He said 50 mile radius people, that is done in tem minutes! I want 100 miles in 15! NOW GO!"
Vor'en appeared infront of the Throne room door, and stopped the three.
"I am sorry, but this now has to do with Kaz himself," He said with a sigh, "He has told me he wants no others to enter, unless he falls himself, but he has more will than ever, and I know, he will not fall." His voice ended with a strength that seemed to care very much at the same time.
Inside the throne, Kaz watched as the ground and building shook, even feeling it in the air. Teron got a punching blow to Kaz's face, knocking blood from his now open scar everwhere. Kaz groaned, and swung back his sword, but teron got a kick to his stomach, making him drop the sword. Kaz clutched his stomach for a moment, and then was knocked to the ground, making a small crater in the stairs.
"Kaz, your a weak fool, you wont win now, your to tired, and you will die in here.. But I will let you a painless death if you surrender." Teron said, laughing an evil laugh.
Kaz slowly crawled from the crater, draging his wings and tail. Teron was too occupied devising his ideas, thinking Kaz was still down for now, laughing.
He reached his sword, and when he grabed it, his eyes became a bright white, glowing and radiating light. He took his sword with both hands, and began to chant a small spell in draconic. This caught Teron's attention, and he started to dart over to Kaz.
As Kaz finished, his sword became a pure white energy, and he began to manupulate it into two seperate longswords, taking a solid state. They poured off a white mist, and he looked to Teron as he darted over. He pushed up, and jumped out of the way, leaving Teron to crash upon the foor.
He slowly stood up, and said in a worried tone, "Kaz what are you doing, you know manipulating rune weapons is dangerous beyond all things? You will kill us both, no matter the victor in this battle." His voice changed back to evil, "And I like the idea." He began to pary blows between the two.
Kaz moved with lightning fury, his eyes still radiating light. He swung so fast Teron was starting to lose his concentration upon both blades, and was hit several times, one across the chest, on both his arms, and one blunt hit to his head, whih sent him crashing down to the ground.
Kaz slowly hovered down, and landed next to him, "You will die now, are you ready?" His wings slowly began to glow a deep blue and white. Electrical charges jumped and raced along his body.
Teron was fearful, he paniced and attacked Kaz, landing a talon blade right in his left shoulder. Kaz groweled, and faster then Teron could react, thrusted a sword straight through Teron's stomach..
Vor'en looked back to the door, thinking to himself, 'Carefull brother, your dealing with energies you have never dealt with before...'
Nerull came crashing in backwards through one of the throne room walls and then out through the opposite wall, further crashes indicated that it was not to be the last wall he went through. Seconds later Gabriel came through the new hole in the wall. Barely sparing the intense battle a glance he went right through the room and out the other hole, calling over his shoulder as he went. "Hope you don't mind if I play through."
Braun blinked twice hard as he watched him go before turning to Arthur who had once again taken the shape of an old soldier. "Am I wrong, or was he actually enjoying himself."
Through it all Arthur hadn't taken his eyes off the fight between Kaz and Teron. "Nope, you're perfectly correct, in this form he's transfered all his anger against the pain and injustice the universe has inflicted upon him and others to Nerull. Every blow he strikes here is a blow against that which he has fought against his entire life, and it simply doesn't get any more personal than that."
Braun gave a low whistle. "From what I know of Gabriel that's a lot of anger."
Arthur casually leaned against the doorway wall. "That battle isn't going to end until one or the other of them is destroyed. But that is not our concern at the moment. Mere mortals do not invovle themselves in such conflicts if it can be avoided, as you well know Braun. However it may be that we can do something here."

"I don't think this place is going to hold up if he carries on enjoying himself that," Kurt remarked.
"That doesn't even enter the equation as far as he's concerned. He's completely focused on Nerull's destruction. Compared to that, everything else barely registers on his consiousness." Arthur said.

"Yeah, but it registers on mine," Kurt replied looking up at the ceiling.
"Let the chips, or as the case may be, the bricks, fall where they may. We can do nothing about it, so we may as well not concern ourselves with it. Besides, the forcefield I put up should keep at least this part of the ceiling from coming down."

Kurt eyed the ceiling even more. "Thats good then, I don't like the idea of it falling on our heads."

OOC I'm engoying it too, completely different to how I planned for it to go when I started it. :)
Kaz began to growl a deep growl, just as his dragon bretheren. His fangs perfectly prominate and visible. Through his face, showed a deep hatred. Teron clutched his stomach, with the blade through it, but still had his hand it Kaz's shoulder. Kaz pressed more with his sword, making Teron spit blood. Teron's wings seemed to die, just falling lifelessly, but still connected to him. Kaz outstretched his wings, and pushed back all at once, pulling the claws from his arm, and the blade from Teron. He landed back, and looked at Teron, still growling. His gaze seemed to pierce Teron, leaving him scared and in pain.
"Teron fell to his knees, and reached a hand out to Kaz. "Help me.." he said in a weak voice..
Kaz walked over, still holding his blades in his hands. The blood from his shoulder running down his arms, soaking the hilt of his left sword. "You said I would die Teron." His voice seemed unmatched by anyone, and it was powerful, and almost deadly to Teron. Teron Quivered, and Kaz spoke more, "Looks like you will die, now tell me where Diomedious is now, and I might spare you.."
Teron almost said something, then put his reaching hand down, he was coughing up more blood, and dying slowly. "Never, you are all going to die, but I dont understand, how were you capeable of becoming so powerful."
Kaz looked at Teron intensley, "My father is now a full part of me."
Teron looked up, blood running down the sides of his mouth, and gasped for air, seing a spirit form of a dragon behind Kaz, its great strength and beauty radiated. "This cant be.." He said, "It is impossible to do that.. you cant combine with a soul.. You will die because of that, you know that." His voice was weak.
"I may die, but you died first" Kaz said with a cold voice. He drew his blade high above Teron, "Goodbye Teron, forever now."
He thrusted his blade, and an explosion of energy formed, throwing Kaz across the room, and he slamed on the wall.
"For brother, and emperor..." Was all he said, and Kaz's head seemed to tilt off sideways, lifeless.
Vor'en busted throught the doors, "Damnit Kaz! No! Dont you leave me!" He ran to Kaz, and started shaking him gently, tilting his head up. "Kaz! Wake up brother! Dont do this to me, we need you, you won, now get up!" Vor'ens voice became sad, "Come on brother.. You have a celebration for you, you killed Teron forever, and Diomedious will be so glad.. Brother.. please.." He tilted his head down, and began to cry, his tears like a small fire leaving his eyes, crystalizing and shattering when they hit the floor...
He looked up at the three.. "There has to be a way to save him.." got up, and picked haz up in his arms, and carried his lifeless body carefully to the three. "What can you do to save him? Tell me now! There has to be a way.. please.." His voice was sad.. and he started to cry even more so that before...
