The Red Cow (Private RP) - Page 3
OOC: "Here comes the calvary, none of the good shall die while the Guardian Angel lives!"
IC: In another part of the palace Gabriel stood over Nerull who was lying crumpled on the floor, his image was no longer solid, but faded and transparent. "This ends now." Gabriel said.
The voice that came back was no longer so powerful, instead it was cracked and weak. "Fool, you cannot kill me, I am a god, I cannot die."
Gabriel shook his head. "That is where you are wrong, but I'll not explain myself, you shall learn soon enough yourself." Gabriel held his hand out and a multicolored swirling vortex appeared over Nerull. Everything loose in the room was sucked towards it, and Nerull was no exception. "Wait, no what are you doing?" He cried.
"Even gods cannot exist where there is no existance, your age of bringing pain and suffering to others is at an end."
As Nerull disappeared through the vortex he gave one last peircing cry and was gone. Gabriel closed his hand and the vortex closed.
Braun and Arthur looked up as Gabriel waslked into the room. He knelt over Kaz before looking at Vor'en. "Know tat what I do now, I could not do even for my wife, may her soul rest in peace these many years. I was young and did not know how, and even now I do not do such lightly." He said, his voice heavy with pain at old memories. He placed both hands on Kaz's chest and his white glow expanded to cover Kaz's body. In that thunderous voice he bgan to chant. "Death is but the changing point between life and what comes after, but one has been called before his time. He has begun the crossing but it is not his time. The cost of such recall is great, but I can pay the toll, will yea who control such things accept my offer?" Gabriel paused for a moment, as if listening for a response before nodding and continuing. "Then take thy payment and return he who is known as Kaz!" The White aura surrounding the two began to flash rapidily and with ever increasing brightness. Suddenly there was one last blinding flash. When it ended the aura around Kaz was completely gone, his wounds healed, and his chest was rising and falling. Gabriel's aura was greatly diminished and it was with great effort he got to his feet. His figure was wavering around the edges, as if it were struggling merely to stay togeather. "His rejoining is done, now I must see to mine." Gabriel said as he headed back towards the remains of the lab.
OOC: Where'd everyone go?

Kurt sighed, he wasn't sure if it was really over but he sure hoped so. He knelt down into a crouching position and pulled his hair away from his eyes, he then looked around to see what the others were doing.
Arthur and Braun followed Gabriel back to the lab. As the massive white figure kneeled down next to the body they could dimly hear it muttering. "So tired, to have traveled so far, done so much, and still be no closer to the conclusion of my mission. And now old age is begining to catch up even with me." It heaved a great sigh, and then with a flash it was gone. Gabriel's body glowed for a moment and then all was quiet.
"It's finally over." Arthur said in a hushed voice.
"Will he be alright?" Braun asked.
A small grin crossed Arthur's lips. "Yes he'll be fine, he just needs rest. Though you did not know it, when you called him, he had only just finished up a series of battles that had drained him greatly, it has been more than two months since last he could sleep. I think he'll sleep for at least 72hrs before he awakens again."
Braun hung his head. "I'm sorry, I hadn't realised."
Arthur laid a reassuring hand on Braun's shoulder. "Don't worry, you couldn't have known, and in the end it all turned out for the best. Teron and Nerull are dead, and none of the party have died. It has ended far better than some of our adventures."
Vor'en began to cry in joy, "Kaz! Your alive! My brother, your alive.." He waited, for Kaz to open his eyes and see everything once again..
Kaz lay there, and slowly groaned, and turned his head. He was hearing voices within his head, but not of voices he has heard in such a long time, no figures could be made within his head, only voices.
:Within his head:
"Kaz, your alive, now get up" A deep strong voice said, not in common tounge, but in a different tounge, draconic.
A picture started forming in his head.
Kaz stood up, surrounded by darkness, "Im dead, I died in the blast with Teron, how could I be alive?"
"By revival son.." A Huge, elegant blue dragon appeared before Kaz, its looks still beautiful for a dragon so old.
"Fa.. Father? It cant be, is it you father?" Kaz stared at the elegant beast.
"Yes, and I am now apart of you, you now can achieve many things. You are powerful my son." The large dragon bowed its head.
"But i dont understand, if I am alive, then why am I here, and how are you apart of me?"
"You split the rune sword with my soul crystal intact, thus, my spirit went into you.. I am now part of you."
"But what are the drawbacks? Its to easy.."
"You have become powerful, and your magic prowess has increased greatly, along with your strength and agility. The problem is, you now need a familiar, to hold your strengths in line, otherwise you will be unable to control yourself, and eventually kill ones you love, then yourself."
"What kind do I need? And must it be a specific type?"
"You have one year to find it, and you must never let it die, and to tell you, it is already following you, you just need to see it my boy."
"So one year to find something already following me?"
"Yes"
"Ok then father, thank you.. And may we do great things with my soul and body with your help."
"Yes my boy, now go.."
:end of image in Kaz's dream:
Kaz slowly opens his eyes, they are no longer their cold blue, but a deep dark blue, like you could never see the end of them, and see forever..
"Brother!" Vor'en yelled out, as he hugged his brother.
"Yes, I am fine now..." He effortlessly gets up. "So where is Gabriel? I must thank him for the revival."
"How did you know he revived you?"
"I can feel it."
Vor'en looked at him puzzled "Feel it?"
"A new view, thats all Vor'en"
Vor'en was still puzzled, but said nothing.. unaware of his brothers new prowess.
Kaz stretched for a moment, thinking about his dream...
Braun and Arthur reappeared in the throne room carrying an unconscious Gabriel between them. When Braun saw Kaz and Vor'en he couldn't help but remark. "All's well that ends well I guess."
Arthur was somewhat more solem as he looked at Kaz. "I do not think you realise exactly what it cost Gabriel to bring you back. He expended more energy in doing it than in his entire fight with Nerull. More than he could spare in fact. He had to deeply tap his own life force in order to complete it and he barely had enough left to hold himself togeather until he could return to his body. Had he miscalculated even slightly it would not be a living body myself and Braun are carrying, but a corpse. Once used, life energy is not something that can be replaced, you would do well to remember that."
Kaz said nothing, he understood it all to well, but he told himself to say nothing, in fear of starting an arguement. He just watched them.
Vor'en shifted to look at Gabriel, "He will be alright, wont he?"
Kaz qucikly replied, before either could, "Of course.. I can feel him, just give him some time, thats all.."
Vor'en just stood in wonder of everything happening, while Kaz still thought of his dream.
Arthur nodded. "For most of it he just needs a lot of rest. As for the rest..." Arthur shrugged. "There are some things that cannot be replaced once used, but he knew that when he made his decision." A mere hint of a smile appeared on his face. "You and Braun do realize that once he wakes up, we're all going to have to explain this to Kurt's parents."

"I'm thankful to still be alive," Kurt remarked. "I'm sure my parents will be glad to, but for sneaking off in the night is going to get me in alot of trouble."
Braun smiled reassuringly at Kurt. "Don't worry, between myself, Kaz and Gabriel explaining things, you shouldn't get in too much trouble."

"Well I did breach my parents trust in sneaking out, I did promise them not to use my teleportation ability to sneak out under any circumstance," he said, lowering his head shamefully.
"Then we just won't mention that you used it to get out." Arthur said before turning to Kaz and Vor'en. "I know we kind of trashed the place, but is there somewhere we can put Gabriel until he wakes up? I can carry him all day if need be, but Braun's had a long day already and is probibly getting a little tired."

OOC Well I'm gonna retire to bed now.
OOC: Goodnight, tomorrow then.
Vor'en replied to Arthur, "Take him to the hospital in Flangdon, its a small out of the way city here in Drognan, take hold of me, Ill teleport us there... You meet us there Kaz?"
"Ya.. sure.." Was his response, he was still thinking of his dream.. 'A familiar.. how am I going to be able to find the one that supposedly has been folowing me in a year?' He wondered..
Braun raised an eyebrow at Kaz and then looked at Marciel where she was riding on his shoulder. He rubbed her under the chin. "You need not worry about finding your familiar, it will find you. Right Marciel?"
Marciel bleaked in agreement and memories of years long gone flooded both their minds. "When it finds you, come see me, I should be able to help answer any questions you have. OK Vor'en, let's get going, Gabriel isn't getting any lighter."
OOC: half half
IC Vor'en waited till they all took grasp of him, "Here we go."
They teleported out, and reappeared in the lobby of a normal hospital, basic furnishings and such everywhere.
Several nurses scuttled down the hall, saying, "This way Mr. Vor'en sir."
The group follow to a lavish room, top notch and decorated. "Lay him here Braun, he can stay here as long as you need."
Vor'en said, looking about the room in a satisfied manner.
Kaz went up to the top of the stairs, all thrashed up. He sat in the throne chair, and thought... 'I need to find the emperor, but I am sure he is safe.. I know Teron would never do something that harsh to his own brother..'
He continued to sit there, just looking and thinking about his life, and how he was given his 2nd chance...

It was almost three days later. Gabriel gradually returned to consiousness. With a groan he levered himself upright. His hair, which had been black with a few specks of gray was now gray with white streaks beging to show. Opening his eyes he saw Braun sitting in a chair in the corner, fast asleep. Marciel was curled up in his lap, similarly unconsious. Arthur was leaning against the wall next to the door wathcing Gabriel.
"How bad Arthur?" Were the first words out of Gabriel's mouth.
"Pretty bad, biologically, bringing Kaz back took at least eight years off you. Energywise, you're barely above human norm. As it is you'll never get up to full strength again, you spent too much lifeforce on that revival, your body wouldn't be able to handle it."
Gabriel nodded solemly. "Then I guess my days as a dimension jumping adventurer are over." He sighed deeply. "I guess it's just as well, I was getting too old and slow for the job anyway. I just wish I had had a chance to find someone I could pass it onto so that someday the mission might be finished."
"There may just be someone closer than you think. You remember our young friend of Braun's?" Arthur asked.
"Yes, unfortinately I've been a little too busy to pay as much attention to him as I should have. Why do you ask?"
"I think he might be the one you're looking for, he's got the temperment, and in time he'll have the experiance. And even more importently, he feels a need to protect others."
"I guess it's just as well then I agreed to become his trainer and bodyguard."
"But there is a point I don't think you're considering. He's not human."
"And why should that be a factor, hell, I can hardly be considered human anymore. It's what's inside that matters, not one's species. I would have thought you'd be past that by now Arthur."
Arthur grinned. "I am, but I just wanted you to hear it from your own mouth for future refrence."
The look Gabriel gave Arthur was hard enough it could have been used for armor plating. "One of these days you're twisted sense of humor is going to come back and bit you on the ass, you know that don't you?"
Arthur merely grinned in reply. It was then that Braun and Marciel woke up, both stretching and yawning loudly. "Oh, Gabriel, it's good to see your up. What's next on the agenda?"
"First something to eat, then you, Marciel, me, Arthur, and Kaz take Kurt home and first keep his parents from grounding him for life, and then convincing them to let me stay on as his trainer/bodyguard."
"Sounds good to me. Let's go." Braun responded.

Kurt nodded, he was sort of glad to be going home, but feared what his parents were going to say. Especially as he knew he had been gone for a long time.
OOC I apoligise now if I take ages to post as my computer is being an arse today :x
Gabriel had changed from his battered clothes into a clean set. He was now dressed in a grey jumpsuit outfit, over which he wore a dark red vest. On one hip rested his steathed sword, on the other was a holstered pistol, across his back was strapped an assault rifle. There was a weariness in him that had not been present before, but his stride was still as confident as ever. Braun was dressed in his typical traveling outfit, a set over travelers clothes with the everpresent white cloak over it. Marciel rode proudly on his shoulder. Arthur had vanished, disappearing to wherever he went when not a hologram.
Gabriel stopped a nurse. "Can you tell me where I can find either Vor'en or his brother Kaz?"
OOC: Where'd everyone go?

Kurts tail twitched nervously as he thought about the impending confrontration with his parents.
::Durring the three days::
Kaz strode into the military HQ.
"Attention!" Shouted a head general.
"The emperor has gone missing, I want a full search, in every area you can NOW!"
The general saluted.
"At ease" Kaz said, "You heard me, start the search, without question."
"Yes sir"
He strode out, not even paying attention.
He teleported into one of the Forest areas in Drognan, and sat on a large rock.
He stood, and looked up to the sky, thinking about his dream, how his father said he could use new powers, only he had to discover them.
"lets see.." He said aloud, and started chanting, a fast chant, and a large blue orb surrounded him.
"Thats new..."
He begun trying other techniques for the next two days...
::Back to present::
The nurse nodded, "Master Vor'en is down the hall, in the lobby. We have not seen the graceful Master Kazahan is such a long time."
Vor'en rose as he saw the group come down. "Where to, my brother just sent a telepathic message to me, he said dont worry about him.. that bothers me, but i wish to respect him.. so where to?"
"Back to Kurt's home, we have a meeting with royalty. I was hoping Kaz could join us since he help get Kurt into this mess, but I guess you'll suffice as a stand in. Braun would you care to do the honors?"
Braun gave a quick nod. "Of course." A few pulls on the strings and the familier gateway opened in front of the group. Braun followed by Gabriel stepped through.
Braun waited for the rest of the group to step through the portal. When everyojne had he gave a short, sharp whistle and the small ring he'd left as a marker appeared and fell into his hand. "Never know when you might need to use one of these again. OK Kurt, this is your hometown, lead on."
Kaz was sitting upon the rock, in the same spot. Everything arround him was torched or destroyed for the next 2 miles, except about 100 feet arround the rock.
He stood, and again, chanted fast, and created the globe. Then he began to do a fast pace chant, and yelled, sounding almost in pain and the globe grew, and started lifting earth and destroying more arround him. His scar among his face began to glow a low hue of blue, but he didn't notice.
He stopped, but his scar still glowed faintally.
He stretched out his wings, and folded them arround himself. He chanted a long, seemingly hard spell for several hours straight, trying to accomplish something...
OOC: Just so you two know, I may or may not be able to post regulary over the next few days because I'm going home for Thanksgiving and all we have is a single modem for four people and three phones.

Kurt made sure he looked his human form as he didn't want to walk the streets looking like the prince. It would of course cause problems when he got back, but he would deal with that later.
After a short walk they got to the palace gates, where they found that the guards seemed hostile to the guards. Whispering the password for the amulate, Kurt changed back to his normal self. The guards were taken aback as they didn't know he had the ability to do that.
"Prince Kurt, your father is furious with you," came a voice that didn't belong to either of the guards. It instead belonged to Jonas, the Captain of the Guards. He appeared between the two guards and looked over at Kurts companions. "So you are the ones that tempted the prince to leave the Kingdom then?" he then asked.
The voice that Gabriel used wasn't the one his companions were used to. It was a voice of one used to command and instant obediance. It's effect on the guards was like an electrical shock. Gabriel looked the guard captain up and down with a piercing stare that would have suited a DI inspecting a new recruit. "You will take us to see his father at once. Tell him that Vor'en, brother to Emporer Kaz of the Drognan Empire (OOC: Sorry if I got the name wrong. If it is let me know and I'll edit it.), Braun of Sabina, last of the Spellsingers and keeper of the Seelen Fresser, and myself seek an audiance with him in matters pertaining to his son."

"Follow me then," Jonas told them.
The guards let the group pass and they followed Jonas down several hallways before leading them into a large room. At the far end was a fireplace with couches set in front of it. The rest of the room was taken up by ceiling high bookcases filled with books. There was already a fire burning in the fireplace.
"Make yourselves comfortable," Jonas then told them, "I shall be speaking with his Majesty."
And with that he left the room.
Braun seated himself in front of the fire and plucked idly at his autoharp. Gabriel walked over and exampined the books. "Your father has good taste when it comes to reading Kurt."
OOC: Contact will most likely be intermitent the rest of the night due to the heavy usage of the phone by others.

"I don't understand the language in some of those books," Kurt explained as he stood near the door. "I am sure that it is the same with my father, I doubt he'll read half of the books anyway."
Kaz lay upon his rock still. He was now asleep, and yet was no where near exhausted.
There was a slite crack of a burnt twig, and he jumped up fast as a bullet, and pointed his palm twoards the sound, his hand glowing a deep hue of blue.
"AHH NO KAZ!" yelled a figure, huddling to himself now.
Kaz lowered his hand to see the figure. "Is that you Vox?"
The figure stood back up. "Better believe it, i have some grave news tho, and I am sorry for these that you are about to hear." The dark elf said, his silver eyes hinted a bit of sadness, and his blond streaked black hair wavered slowly.
"What is it then? and my how you changed over a hundred years..." He said, now starteled of the looks of his old friend.
"Yes.. its the effect upon the test, they are finally effecting me more now, as you can see..." He opend his mouth a bit, and revealed fangs. "These are now grown in... it is all just very weird considering they found all the bloods within me.."
"Yes it is.. now please, the news.." Kaz said, still supprised of his friend.
"Its about Diomedious.." His face hinted sadness greatly, and it looked as if his silver eyes were starting to tear up.
"Tell me Vox, what is it?"
"Its.. well we found him.. we think.. he isn't himself.. and neither is his personality, he has lost it a bit with this now impending accident..."
"What happened to him?" Kaz's voice was straight to the point...
"He no longer posses the body he had before.."
"Take me to him!"
"Teleport us to the military pens.."
"That does not sound good.." He took hold of Vox's arm and the appeared inside the Military base..
Vor'en looked arround the place, and just stood, looking arround, his flame red eyes trying to descipher the place.
He then faced the fire, and began to move his fingers arround, and the flames' started to dance arround to his fingers..
"What is a mystery to some, is an open book to others." Gabriel said as he pulled abook from the shelf at random and began leafing through the pages. "When I get myself assigned as your instructer/bodyguard I'll see that you learn how to read them. Nothing is more powerful than knowledge. Remember that."
Draconis Nightcrawlis

Kurt could already tell that Gabriel would turn out to be a hard instructor/bodyguard. That could only make him a better future king, at least he hoped so anyway.
"I know, but many are in ancient languages no longer spoken," Kurt explained.
Kaz and Vox walked down the hall, and all the soldiers stood at attention as they did.
"Dismissed" Kaz said as they reached a large concrete double door system.
"Open it." Vox said, and walked in as they opened it, folowed by Kaz.
They stop at another door. "Are you sure Kaz?"
He looked down.. then back up. "I owe it to him Vox.. He needs to know everything."
"Open it" Vox said again, and the doors opened. "Go ahead.."
Kaz walked in, folowed by Vox now. They came upon a gated cell, but it was lavishly decorated. Sadly, many things were torn up, like the stuffing from the couch. Kaz pierred in more. Vox started to worrie, but said nothing, just waiting.
Kaz gasped slightly.. "Emperor Kale?? Diomedious? Ho.. How?"
Inside the cell, a tall, black furred lupine turned to see Kaz. In a deep scratchy voice, it responded, "Kaz? I know.. Teron did this to me.. but how I do not know.."
Kaz looked at Vox, "Im going inside."
"NO! You cant, its to dangerous if he bites you. You have a large chance of becoming one. If you need anything, I go in, remember, im mixed blood, i can handel a bite.."
"I said I am going in, now let me."
"But Kaz.."
"Now.."
"Fine.." Signals and the door opens, Kaz walks in and the door closes...
Gabriel smiled at that. "Not spoken by others maybe, but I myself have come across just about every languauge ever invented at one point or another, and I can read and speak all of them. Or failing that translating them should give Arthur something to do and keep him happy. He's always complaing he doesn't have enough to do."

Braun looked up from where he was sitting. "So when do we get to meet your father?"

Kaz walked inside, talked to diomedious, told him the story, told him his brother was dead, and about his merge with his father. then diomedious told kaz about his ruling and being emperor, and granted kaz to be the new emperor of drognan, wether or not diomedious made it out ok in the end.
so kaz is now the emperor and he left with vox to go back to the thrashed up throne room.

Kurt looked down to where his sword was in its sheath at his side. That would take some explaining.
"Oh yes, the sword," he sighed, "Sneaking out, being 'missing' for a few days, getting a sword and putting my life in danger, my parents are really not going to be happy with me."
"Well that's why we're here." Gabriel said.

"Not disobediant, merely restless." Braun said.

"Disobedience brought on by restlessness," he replied.
The prince then suddenly disappeared into a cloud of purple smoke. Moments later he reappered on one of the couches, the smell of brimestone lingering in the air.
Neither Braun or Gabriel so much as bat an eyelid. "Forget something?" Gabriel asked.

Kurt just shook his head.
Kaz and Vox strode down the hall, all the soldiers now down on one knee with their heads bown down. "You all do not need to do this, not even a salute is required" He said as he walked down the hall to the end, and turned, to see all them still in the same position. "I said you need not do this, only your loyality in the defense of Drognan is all I aks for my brave soldiers, now stand, and go back to your business, I am nothing more than what I was before."
One soldier rose to his feet, and stated, "Emperor Kazahan, we owe it to you, and the retired Diomedious, to salute in honor."
"No, no you do not, I just want your trust in battle, and that is all I wish, now all, stand."
Everyone started to slowly stand, back to a casual stance. "Thats better soldiers, now resume."
Kaz and Vox left.
"Kaz?" Another voice said as they strode down the thrashed up hall of the throne building.
Kaz looked up, "What is it?" He came to see a tall, sleek silver haired, golden eyed elegantally featured, female Elf.
"Do you not remember me?"
Kaz stopped, and turned to look at her.
His mouth began so show a big smile. "It cant be you Mrs. Nailo?"
She giggled, "Yes it is." She bowed slightly, her full military suit waving with her. "I heard you are now the emperor, Mr. Lo?"
Kaz motioned Vox down the hall, and he did so without question, laughing to himself. "That is correct Aurora.. Its been some time, and yet you still become more beautiful every year.."
She giggled again.. "Yes, it has." She came up to him, putting her arms arround his neck, "one hundred and five years, three months, and two days.."
"That is a long time isn't it?"
"Yes.. it is." She gently kissed him upon the lips.
"I take it you still really care for me?" He said with a smirk.
"Of course, and I now things you dont think many people know, you know that.." Her soft golden eyes glinted in the light that peered throught the holed up roof.
"I believe that.."
"I am sure you do.."
She released him from her arms, and started to walk down the hall, opposite where he was going. "Good bye Kaz, and come see me this week! No more years to see me.. Considering yu want to kiss me again.." She snickered as she walked down the hall.
Kaz smiled and continued to walk down to the throne room. He entered and Vox sat upon a good part of the stairs, laughing hard. "You still love her dont you?"
"Nah" He said with a laugh, "Of course I do, but its never worked, she is only 900 years old, im over 2 thousand.."
"And I am 700, big deal, now lets go, we have to go somewhere i presume?"
"Yes, we need to find out brothers, we need to have a talk."
"Of course."
"Lets go."
They gathered supplies, and began to leave, making sure they had things they needed.
Vor'en sat along, watching and listening to the conversation.. He picked a book that looked to be in draconic, and began reading it.
Gabriel hummed a tune for a minute and then started singing softly.
"Oh, it's the soldier's last march for me. I've fought my last battle and now I am free."
Braun quickly picked up on the tune and soon his autoharp was accompying Gabriel.
"I fought in the east, I fought in the west, I've fought in the north and south too. But now my day has come, I'll fight no more. It's the soldier's last march for me. Through rain and snow, and the sun so hot, I marched from battle to battle. My blade tasted blood, and my shield took the blows. It's the soldier's last march for me. My friends fought and they died, but I survived. Now I've joined them on the soldiers last march." When he finished, and Braun had played his last note, Gabriel had a distant look in his eyes, as if remembering things long in the past.

The door opened and a sharply dressed woman entered. Her hair was black with scarlet streaks and was down to just above her shoulders. The robe that she wore was also scarlet. Closing the door behind her, she stood with her arms crossed glaring at Kurt.
"Kurt, your father and I have decided that it would be best if I talked to you," she said.
"In other words you hexed him," Kurt mumbled.
"That is beside the point Kurt," the Queen then told him, "You breached our trust by sneaking off the grounds using your teleportation ability. You breached it even more by going off with complete strangers, you should know better then to do that Kurt."
Kurt looked guiltily at the floor, his tail was twitching nervously.
Braun got up and stepped between Kurt and his mother. Marciel rose up on his shoulder. "He did not go running off with strangers, there was danger, and rather than leaving him without protection we took him with us. While granted you have every right to punish him for sneaking off the rest was not his fault."

"I beg to differ," Queen Wanda replied. "My son willingly sneaked out, knowing that would place himself in danger."
Gabriel quietly spoke up from where he was standing. "Perhaps you should consider the fact that he would not need to sneak out if you and his father occassionally allowed him outside the confines of this castle. Following that train of thought to it's conclusion it in fact is your fault that he snuck out to where he could put himself in danger. It is not right for one so young to be confined as you have attempted to do. Nor does it make for a good ruler when he grows up to have seen only the inside of these four walls his entire life."

From the couch, Kurt squirmed. He knew they were going to make his mother very mad.
"Oh my children are only confined to the palace when they are staying in Exetergrecia for school as it is a dangerous city," she replied. "I highly doubt you have children of your own so you have no authority on how protective I can be with mine against those who wish to hurt them."
Something hot blazed behind Gabriel's eyes at that comment. His tone was no longer calm and controlled, but icy and sharp enough to cut steel plating. "I have no children of my own because mine were dead long before this empire of yours ever came into existance." Gabriel felt a hand on his shoulder and looked back to see Arthur standing there. Arthur gave a slight shake of the head. Gabriel blinked twice rapidly before nodding in acknowledgement of the silent conversation that passed between the two. He turned back to Kurt's mother. "Trading vieled insults is getting none of us anywhere. We are here for two reasons, one is to see that Kurt's punishment is no more than he deserves. The second is to make you an offer that should prevent such a problem from occuring in the future."

"The second reason we came here is that I would like to offer my services in training and teaching your son as well as acting as his body guard. Despite my appearence, I have been alive far longer than this Empire has existed. You yourself said that when unsupervised he gets himself into trouble. I assure you that if he had me as a teacher he would be much to busy to get himself in any further trouble. He would also be safer from harm than if you surrounded him with your entire army. I ask for neither payment, nor food or lodging as I am more than capable of providing for myself."
OOC: Drognan, some support would be appriciated here. And Draconis, no comment on Arthur appearing out of thin air? Kurt's mother must have nerves of steel.

Queen Wanda scratched the side of her chin, as she thought for a moment. "As I personally don't trust your offer, I will have to speak to my husband about it," she replied, her eyes turned to her son. "Kurt, bedroom now."
Kurt nodded and disappered into the purple smoke again.
Vor'en rose from his hands within the fire. "Madame, Why would you not let your fine son of yours do anything for once? Have you even ever let him outside freely for once? This was something good for him, even in danger, but understand, if anything was to happened that would provide such a risk, Gabriel over there would not have let it happen.. I can assure you. Just go easy on the lad for his actions, but punishment of his teleporting out should be taken care of, sadly.." His eyes looked like fire, but calmed down to s faint glow, from his playing of the fire.
Kaz and Vox came outside to see, yet another, slender elf. Only this elf was a dark elf, as Vox, with black hair and deep yellow eyes.
Kaz stopped, and slowly said "Hello.. Jeron." He smirked.
The elf laughed, "Of course Kaz, you can never keep a straight face with me.."
"How true, good to see you Jeron, how many years?"
"Not many, i think it was only 70 or so, now how is the new emperor doing?"
"Just fine, now we need a meeting, come with us old friend."
"Of course, I also know where Felon is, so we need to stop at the bar.."
"Fine.."
Kaz, Vox, and Jeron headed towards a bar in drognan, they traveled for about an hour, just looking arround at the still evacuated city.

The lights in the room flicked angrly. Queen Wanda had a very annoyed look upon her face.
"My son is not a prisoner here, he can do as he wishes as long as it does not jepodise his safety," she replied.
A sudden cold wind swept through the room as Braun stepped forward. As usual, the glowing orbs that were his eyes were unreadible. However his ears were laid back flat across his head to the point they disappeared into his hair. On his shoulder Marciel fluttered restlessly. "When I first met your son, I told him that he should be grateful that he had safety in these four walls and that seeking adventure brought one nothing but pain. But I relearned these last few days that one needs to experiance adventure, and even take the occasional risk to grow to their full potential. In just a few days I have seen your son grow in both confidence and ability. I will not argue with you over matters of parenting, as I have none myself, though I have raised more than one apprentice his age. Instead I would ask you a question. Who is it that determines what is safe for him, and are they truely in an informed position to make that judgement?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
27-11-2003, 01:44
The lights flashed again, but this time a couple of bulbs blew.
"It is a natural parenting instinct to protect your children," the Queen replied, "Safety in this city has to come before freedom, as much as I want to, even I can't just wander the streets even with bodyguards such is the resources that terrorists are using now."
Gabriel exchanged a significant look with both Braun and Arthur at that. Both nodded back. Gabriel once again addressed the Queen. "You spoke of terrorists, who are they, and what resources do they employ? If I take Kurt as my charge I certainly can't have terrorists running around. If you can give me whatever information you have I will see that the problem is ended."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
27-11-2003, 01:51
"That is the problem, they attack from out of nowhere and are then gone again," she explained, "Only they can't seem to penetrate any of the palaces, castle or even the poorest school. No one has ever seen them"
Gabriel's eyes practically blazed with an fire. "Madam, consider your problem taken care of. My first wife and unborn child were killed by terrorists, my resulting reaction resulted in an entire continent being turned into a giant hole in the ground." He turned to Arthur. "What do you have?"
The smile Arthur gave would have been more suited to a shark. "All availible databases scanned, including the local equivelent of a world wide network. Analyising and extrapolating the data I've located at least three hundred different cells, all comparmentalised. Locations are confirmed."
Gabriel turned to Braun. "Is Marciel willing?"
Braun hesitated for a moment, and then nodded. "She doesn't like it, but she like those who bring pain to innocents even less. She'll do it."
Gabriel turned back to the queen. "Your terrorist problem will be resolved within a week. Vor'en, want to come along? There'll be some fighting, though I doubt it will be more than an inconvenence. We're hitting hard and fast, I'm not taking prisoners."

OOC I was actually hoping that one of you would really piss the Queen off :D
OOC: She busted a few lights when she got annoyed. Gabriel would have brought the entire building down without even trying. His energy abilites might not work at the moment, but his strength and magic skills are unsurpassed. Besides, if you really want to see someone tick her off, I'm sure something can be arranged after Gabriel secures the position he's aiming for.
"Sure, why not?" Vor'en said, as he started walking with Gabriel. He stopped at once, and looked at Gabriel, "Change of plans, no can do, I got to meet with Kaz, I will be back shortley."
Vor'en teleports out of sight.
OOC will post more later
Gabriel nodded to Braun as they both disappeared in a flash of light. Arthur remained behind for a moment and looked over at the queen. "My friend Gabriel is giving you a great deal of leway because you are Kurt's mother. You would do well to remember however that even his patience has it's limits." With that Arthur faded away.
With a flash of light Gabriel and Braun appeared in a decent sized room. Gabriel could see a group of people who were seated at a table. Two more people with guns were leaning against a wall. Even before they could recover from the surprise of Gabriel and Braun's entrance Gabriel's gun was up and two shots rang out so fast that they sounded as one gigantic thunderclap. Blood and brains from the two clean headshots splattered the guards's coharts. The sound of first weapons, and then bodies hitting the floor behind him told Gabriel that there had been two more guards at the door and that Braun had dealt with them.
"Arthur, you got what you need?"
"Yes, their computers have been drained of data."
Gabriel glanced over at Braun who nodded back. "Marciel's gotten the information we need."
"Good then we're done here." Gabriel said. He held up a finger and a pinpoint of red light appeared. He looked over at the group of stunned terrorists. "This contains roughly the power held in five hundred pounds of C-4. When it hits the ground it will detonate. You have that long to make peace with whatever diety or dieties you believe in."
That said the trio disappeared in the by now customary flash of light. The small red ball of energy remained and drifted like a mote of dust towards the floor. Only a couple of the terrorists managed to recover their senses in time to try and run for the door. None of them made it. When the red ball hit the floor a massive eruption consumed the entire building, the scattered pieces of which collapsed back into a pile of smoking rubble.
For the next several days the country of Draconis Nightcrawlis was wracked nearly nonstop by explosions as one after another the terrorist cells were hunted down and destoryed. Rarely was more than five minutes spent on any given encounter. By the end of the second day all of the origional targets had been destoryed and they moved onto destorying the ones they located from the information retrieved from the terrorists own computeres and minds. Those occupied another two days.
On the fifth day there was nothing left to hunt down except the leader of the terrorist group. The small group was taking a rare moment of rest in a small grove of trees.
"You ready to have that information transfered Braun?"
"Yeah, let's get this over with."
Gabriel walked over and touched Braun on the head for a moment. Then he looked up. "Ready to upload Arthur."
"Commencing upload, data uploaded, compiling the information, cross referencing. You want that on hard copy or in electronic format?"
"Both please."
A small pile of paper appeared in front of Gabriel, and on top of it rested a small data disk. The papers held the pictures of the relativly few members of the organization who had not been present at the meetings along with various personal information. Everything from names and date of birth to where they worked and were they could most often be found. The one on top was of a middle aged, ordinary, unassuming man.
Gabriel picked it up. "This the leader?"
Arthur materialized next to Gabriel. "Yep, his name is Michael Anthony, a promient banker, he has a wife and three kids, no known crimminal record."
"Right then, that's our last stop. After that, the information we've collected should allow the locals to clean up the remaints of these terroists."
Braun casually flipped through the papers and gave a low whistle. "No wonder they were able to operate almost with impunity. They had people in everything from the military to local law enforcement, and just about every single intelligence organization. They were in a postion to know every move the government made against them, where they could strike without fear of retribution, the best targets. It looks like the only organization they couldn't break into was palace security."
Gabriel nodded. "Well in a few minutes it will all be over. Let's finish this."
Seconds later they appeared in the middle of a dining room. Michael Anthony sat at the head of the table, around the table were seated his wife and kids. To his credit he didn't lose his composure.
"What are you doing in my house?" He demanded as he stood up.
Gabriel stepped forward and grabbed him by his collar. His wife screamed and made to move towards th phone, only to be pressed back into her seat by Braun's gentle but firm hand on her shoulder.
"Michael Anthony, you are guilt of numerous crimes ranging from kidnapping, to murder, to high treason. You will be delivered to the autorities momentarilly." Gabriel said.
Gabriel looked over at Braun who shook his head. "I've checked his mind she didn't know anyhting about it."
Gabriel fixed Anthony's wife, who had already gone through the stages of shock, anger and finally planning for the future, with a look of pity. "Ma'am, I suggest you get your kids and all your valuables and leave the country immediately. We don't hold you responsible for what your husband has done. But I somehow doubt that this kingdom's authorities will be so forgiving."
Next the group appeared in front of the palace, Anthony still in Gabriel's inbreakible iron grip. Gabriel walked over to one of the guards. "I want to see the head of palace security at once. I have the leader of the terrorists here, and information on the organization's surviving members."

Kurt had gone to his usual thinking spot in his bedroom. That was hanging by his tail from the large chandeleir in the centre of the ceiling. He was upset at the fact he was going to be punished, but he still knew he deserved it. Sneaking out to go to the tavern and then going off with a couple of guys he met there. His mother was bound to have a long talk with them and his father... Who knew what his father actually thought of the whole incident.

Jonas came over to see what was going on.
"You again," he muttered looking at them, before noticing someone he hadn't seen with them before.
The guard they had talked to said, "They want to speak to the head of palace security."
Jonas crossed his arms, seemingly he didn't like them. "Taken to catching criminals then?" he asked.
Gabriel smiled. "Something like that. This is Michael Anthony, leader of the terrorist group that has been causing you so much trouble. And this," Gabriel said as he dumped the pile of papers and the data disk in Jonas's hands, "is all the information you need to convict him, as well as information on the few members of the organization who are still alive. I do have compliment you on your screening processes as far as palace staff go. It's the only organization that they couldn't manage to infiltrate. Now if you'll please take care of him, and this information. I believe your queen will be wanting to see me."

Gabriel found himself a comfortible chair and sat down for the first time in almost a week. Absently he pulled his pistol apart and began cleaning it. Braun also sat down in a chair and quickly fell asleep, Marciel soon joining him. The two had suffered severe mental exaustion from the need to gain the necessary information from the various terrorists.

OOC, NP, I'll proberly be posting sporadically this week due to circumstances anyway :(
Gabriel had gotten up from the bed and now paced back and forth in the middle of the room, his mind in a turmoil. The fight with Nerull had merely been the most recent in a long string of difficult fights that when he was younger wouldn't have even phased him. For one who had lived so long, who at times had longed for an honorible death to release him from the burden of duty he carried, the concept of dying of old age in some now not quite so distant future was strangly frightening. Upon closer inspection of his thoughts, he realised that death itself wasn't what scared him. It was the thought that as things stood, when he was gone there would be none to continue that duty. And this train of thoughts brought to mind once again the young prince and the suggestion Arthur had made only a few days ago. Could he in good conscience give such power to another? Had he considered all the possiblities? And most of all, did he even have the right to lay even the possibility of such power and responsibility on another? As daylight began to show through the window, he still had no answers to his questions.

Kurt teleported himself to the dining room for breakfast, he was starving. There was no one around at the time as the rest of his family were still asleep and the servents would still be doing their morning chores. Kurt wasn't usually an early riser, but with heavy things on his mind he was unable to sleep. He waited alone in the dining room.
Braun and Marciel woke up as the morning sun streamed through the window. Braun's sensitive ears picked up the sound of Gabriel's pacing through the interveaning wall.
I'm worried about him Marciel, he hasn't been the same since that fight with Nerull, if anything, he seems more driven and determined now than ever."
I know, but I can't even get a read off of him. As usual he's locked up tight both mentally and emotionally."
There's nothing we can do unless he decides to open up. Well I guess it's time for us to be going. The road is calling once again.
Braun stopped outside Gabriel's door and knocked.
"Come in." Came the response. Braun opened the door and walked in.
"I guess your leaving huh?" Gabriel asked.
"Yes, it's time me and Marciel got back on the road. There's not much call here for a bard."
"Yeah, I noticed."
"Before I left I wanted to say goodbye and to give you these." Braun held out a pair of small gold coinlike objects.
Gabriel took them. "Locaters?" He asked.
"Yes, one for you, and one for Kaz, I'd appriciate if you'd give it to him next time you see him and remind him that my offer still stands."
"Sure, no problem, thanks again for all your help."
"It's I who should be thanking you, just keep an eye on Kurt for me OK?"
"I'll do my best, so long." Gabriel extended his hand and Braun shook it before turning and leaving the room. He had one more person to see before he left and after a quick strumming on the strings of his autoharp headed for the dining room.
Braun turned a last corner and found himself standing at the entrance to the dining room. Spotting Kurt he walked over. "I thought I'd just stop by to say goodbye."

And besides, our paths may cross yet again in time. Just try not to get in more trouble than Gabriel can bail you out of OK?"

"We have some unfinished business in Sabina, after that we're picking up from where we met you. We go wherever the road leads and there is a need for song and merriment, or at least where my other abilities can be put to good use." Braun put a hand on Kurt's shoulder. Braun stopped halfway into the portal and looked back for a second, a grin on his face. "Oh, and don't be surprised if Amelia should drop in, I think she likes you." And then the two were gone.

"Have you made up your mind yet?" Arthur asked.
Gabriel shook his head. "No, not entierly, however I will teach Kurt, by the time I'm done he'll be a better ruler than any that came before him. I can do at least that much."
Arthur frowned at Gabriel, and then shook a finger at him. "You're stalling, and you know it."
"And what if I am?" Gabriel retorted with some irritation. "We're talking about what could quite possibly be the most importent decision I've ever made. If I decide to put that decision off until the last minute, so be it."
Arthur held his hands up in front of him. "Sorry, I should know by now not to rush you. Though I think I already know what your decison will be. But what I actually came to tell you is that it's ready, I just need to know where to put the entrance."
"I won't know for a little while yet."
"All right then, I'll be going then."
Arthur disapeared, leaving Gabriel wondering when the Queen would return with her decision.

Gabriel looked over at Kurt. "If you're upset about Braun leaving you shouldn't be. He would have been miserable here after a few days. He'll be back." After a couple seconds a plate with steak and tattertots, plus a glass that held something that looked vaguely like purple orange juice, appeared in front of Gabriel. On second glance the steak didn't appear to be a readily identifible meat. Gabriel quickly started in on the meal.

"What is that?" Kurt asked.
C: Gabriel looked up from his meal. "Oh, this? It's Li'get steak. It's not native to this particular dimension. I picked up a taste for it during my stay in that particular dimension." As Gabriel spoke the steak on his plate began trying to crawl off until he speared it once again with his fork unconsiously. "And this," he said gesturing to his drink, "is simply a juice mix I came up with, it's a variety diffrent jucies mixed togeather with some vitamins." He then pointed at what looked like tattertots. "And these are ordinary tattertots."
OOC: I'm sorry for the steak crawling off the plate joke, I couldn't help myself.

Kurt gimaced at the stake still seemingly to be alive. "Is it meant to try and crawl off like that?" he asked.
OOC I liked it :D
Gabriel shook his head as he calmly cut another piece of steak. "It's quite dead, it's simply that the muscles tend to be activated by heat, so once it's cooked, until it cools down it tends to move around somewhat. It's really quite good, are you sure you don't want some?"

Kurt would have gone green had it not been for his blue fur. "Umm no thanks," he replied, "I think I'll stick to food that doesn't try wandering off even when it's dead."
Gabriel noticed Kurt's reaction and chuckled inwardly. He knew it wouldn't do him any harm to realise just how diffrent some things can be from what he considered normal. "Do you have any idea what the decision by your parents will be as far as you becoming my student?"
OOC: AAARRRGGGGHHHHH! The forum is driving me insane tonight.

Kurt shrugged, he hadn't seen them at all today. "I don't know, but they haven't sent you on your way," he pointed out.
OOC I should be able to post plenty tonight.
There was a trace of amusment in Gabriel's voice when he responded. "They could certainly try to send me on my way, but I wish good luck to any who tries to get me to leave someplace before I'm ready to go. I've got a basic cirriculum worked out already, I just need to know when we can start, if ever. "

Kurt looked down at his arm and it was then that he noticed the prince wore a watch, "I don't think that they will be up for a while yet," he sighed.
"It is pretty early isn't it? How about to kill some time you show me around the place after breakfast?" A piece of toast appeared in midair and Gabriel took it and used it wipe his plate clean. Finishing both the toast and the last of his drink everything on the table in front of him disappeared.

"Very early for me," Kurt smirked.
He had only eaten half of his breakfast and it was now getting cold. The young prince picked at it once more before putting the fork down.
Noticing that the prince seemed to be finished with his meal Gabriel stood up and stretched for a moment. "Come on Kurt, an early morning walk will do you good."

Kurt groaned as he got up, he wasn't completely awake yet even though he had hardly slept that night. Truthfully he wanted to go back to bed.
"We could go by the pond," he suggested.
A cup appeared in Gabriel's hand which he then offered to Kurt. "Here, try this, it's Hiklite, it's more effective than caffine and without the side effects. Tastes a lot like hot chocolate."
OOC: Heading to classes soon and it looks like a D&D night, don't know how much posting I'm going to get done. Sorry.

Kurt was certainly learning alot from Gabriel, he was certainly hoping that his parents would let him stay. The young prince took a sip.
"Huh, it does taste like hot chocolate," he commented.
OOC: Forgot tuesday night is D&D night.
Heh, my 600th post :)
Gabriel smiled. "I'm glad you like it. It took me a good three hundred years of work to develop the plant it's made from."

"I guess you have the time to put in that much work," Kurt said.
"The one thing I have almost always had is time to spare. The biggest thing I regularly have to worry about is boredom. I try and keep busy, towards that end I spend much of my spare time studying and experimenting."
Draconis Nightcrawlis

"I wouldn't beable to spend all that time studying, I have a short attention span," the prince admitted as they left the back doors and headed out into the gardens.
Though the walls were high, plenty of sun was able to get into the garden through an invisible forcefield that was designed to keep threats out but still allow the weather through. To the naked eye there looked to be nothing there, but Kurt knew it was. The palace gardens were vast, looking at the front of the palace no one could have belived they would be this big.
"A very impressive garden I must say. And you shouldn't worry about that attention span so much, it will grow longer as you grow older." Gabriel walked over to a rose and knelt down to smell it. As he stood up he shook his head sadly. "It reminds me a lot of home. My mother loved her garden, and her roses. Such a kind and gentle woman. I think she would have liked it here."

"It's my favourite place to go when I want to be alone," Kurt mentioned.
"I can see why, it's so quiet and peaceful. Someone obviously cares very much about these gardens, I can see that they've been tended to with much love and care."

"We have some of the best gardeners in the kingdom to take care of the gardens," he explained, "but some parts of the gardens take care of themselves."
"You mean that they're left to grow wild?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
03-12-2003, 21:15
"Yes, my mother wanted to have a wild area," Kurt told him. "I prefere not to go there though."
"There is beauty to be found both in the sculpted and that which is given free reign. Remind me to show you a Klick'tar sometime. In a way it is both at once."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
03-12-2003, 21:28
"It's nothing to do with beauty," Kurt protested, "I had a nasty experiance there when I was younger."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow. "Oh, and what would that be if I may ask?"

"I got held hostage by some irrate plants and one of the gardeners had to talk the plants into letting me go," the young prince explained, grimacing as he remembered the ordeal.
"I can see what you mean about parts of this garden taking care of themselves. You should just be grateful they weren't carniverious."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
03-12-2003, 22:12
"Well they did threaten to eat me," Kurt remarked. "My father wasn't pleased with the whole incident, but my mother was determined to keep her wild garden."
A ball of flame the size of a baseball appeared in Gabriel's left hand and he bounced it up and down a couple times. "Well you don't need to worry about anything like that while I'm around." Gabriel's hand closed into a fist suddenly, extingushing the fire.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
03-12-2003, 22:51
"Still I am not going there," Kurt told him.
"Understandible. Granted, they probibly thought it only fair exchange for all the salads you've probibly eaten."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2003, 03:22
Kurt let out a laugh, "I think they did mention something along the lines of that," he said.
"Who says vegitation can't have a sense of humor. I'm sure they were only joking with you. They would have had to know what would have happened had anything happened to you." Gabriel looked thoughtful for a moment. "Then again, I might want to swing by one of those sections at some point, just to make sure there won't be any problems. I do like my late night walks after all."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2003, 03:41
"They did sound pretty pissed off about something though," Kurt pointed out, whilst looking at the paths ahead. "If you do decide to go to that area, I would go there with my mother. It seems less dangerous when she is around."
"Do you think she would be willing to show me around the garden? She seems awfully busy. Your mother is certainly an interesting woman, I'll say that. Forceful too."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2003, 03:53
"Yeah she can be like that. She's not always busy, she has free time to spend in her wild garden, studying in the library and even spending time with my sister and I. Since it's her garden I'm sure she will"
Gabriel smiled. "I think I'd like that. My life hasn't really given me a chance to plant a real garden for a long time. I rarely stay anywhere long enough to make it feasible."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2003, 04:09
"Maybe now you'll have a chance," Kurt said, leading Gabriel down the path that would lead them to the pond that the prince had mentioned earlier.
OOC Bed time me thinks, night.
IC: "I do hope I'll be in a position to stay for at least a few years. It would be nice to be able to settle down for a while for a change."
OOC: Goodnight.

"Despite the dangers, Exetergrecia is a nice place to live," Kurt told him.
::Pulls out a model 1911 Colt semi-automatic .45 and empties it into the computer::
OOC: Server's doing it again.
IC:"And it should be a lot safer now that the terrorist group that has been causing you so much trouble is destroyed." Gabriel said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis

"Yeah, but we'll still have to be careful though, another one maight rise up," Kurt pointed out.
IC: Gabriel laughed. "Not while Arthur's around they won't. Every computer on this planet that's plugged in somewhere is an open door to him, that combined with his abilities to put a lot of seemingly meaningless things togeather means that any terrorist group will be hard pressed to get organized before they get clobbered."
OOC: Going to dinner, be back soon, and death to the server!

"Remind me to keep my stuff offline on a laptop then," Kurt remarked with a sly grin.
OOC Ack, its pissing me off too
"No need to worry, he could care less about people's personnal stuff. He's more interested in information that pertains to the world as a whole. And god help the hacker who tries to get into his system. That's Arthur's idea of fun. Besides, in a short time you'll be getting something far better than a laptop to work with."
OOC: why did you use a picture of night-crawler for your character? :?:
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2003, 23:29
"I think you mentioned that before," Kurt told him, "So whats better then a laptop? They're classics."
OOC: Looks like we have a voyeur in this thread. Welcome aboard, how do you like it so far?
IC: Gabriel reached into a small belt pouch and pulled out a metal container about as big as his hand. Tapping a button on it's side it opened up revealing a full sized keyboard, above it a holographic screen popped up. "This is a PHCL, a Personal Holographic Computer Link. It will give you access to both Arthur's databank's as well as the world wide network. It will do anything a computer can do and more." Gabriel hit the button again and it closed up before Gabriel returned it to his pouch. "But this one's mine. You'll get your's later."
OOC: Draconis, where'd you go? And speaking of missing persons, where Drognan for that matter?

OOC Last post he made, he mentioned being ill, so I guess he still is :(
Sorry bout leaving last nite, the server was pissing me off and I had to get up early anyway.
IC
"Wow," Kurt said with amazement. "Just like the computer in my bedroom, only its alot smaller and the keyboard on mine doesn't fold up like that. Mind you, you can't go wrong with the classic laptop, my fathers had his since before he became King."
Gabriel grinned. "No physical connection needed to access the net. It will aslo be useful for your assignments. And no worrying about a battery either. Laptops are nice I'll admit, but they don'tmhave anywhere near the capabilites the PHCL has."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2003, 18:55
"Still has classic value," Kurt replied as they walked under a tunnel of roses that were a variety of colours.
"There is definately something to be said for the classics I have to agree. But then again, I might be just slightly biased being one myself."

"I think with my father, there is more to his laptop then its classic value," the prince suspected.
OOC: I know the feeling. Going to dinner, be back soon.
IC: "Everyone has their secrets. And as long as those secrets aren't a threat me and Arthur respect the wishes of those who wish to keep them secrets."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2003, 23:46
"Of course I agree that everyone has their secrets," Kurt agreed, "I am sure that my parents secrets come down to what happened before my father became king and I'm not sure that I want to know what."
Gabriel nodded. "As Braun told you, there are some secrets buried in the past that should stay buried. I know full well the truth of those words."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 00:15
"The past can be dangerous."
"That it can be, in my time I've seen more than one instance where the past should have been left just that. Ancient magics, war machines from civilizations long dead, sleeping monsters, old gods, I've seen all those and more. And as often as not the bringing to light of such things means that I've got my work cut out for me."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 01:01
"Unfortunatley someone will always try and dig up the past," Kurt then said.
"I think we should head back inside. Your parents and everyone else will be waking up soon."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 01:06
"I guess so," Kurt sighed, before turning around to head back to the palace.
"Whatever happens Kurt, you can be assured that one way or another a whole new world will be open to you before today is over."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 01:26
"It's just whether not I'll like this whole new world," Kurt remarked.
"I won't guarentee it will be easy, but it will have it's moments certainly. I'll see to that much at least."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 02:09
Kurt silently nodded. By the time they reached the palace, there was still no one around.
"Kurt, why don't you show me where you live, I'll need to set up nearby."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 02:33
"OK," Kurt said and led Gabriel through the palace, avoiding any servants that were around, before he got back to his bedroom.
"This is where my bedroom is," he told Gabriel, "You must be quiet though as my sisters room is opposite mine." He pointed to the door bwhind him.
Gabriel nodded and looked around for a moment before taking a few steps down the hallway to face a solid piece of the wall. "OK Arthur, put her in here, right in front of me." One second there wasn't a door there, the next there was. An old, thick oak door. Gabriel took the handle and pulled it open. "Come on Kurt, I'll show you around my home now."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
06-12-2003, 02:46
Kurt nodded, he guessed that the door might lead to somewhere else and that Gabriel hadn't just made his own room in the palace. His parents would really be angry if he'd done that. He followed Gabriel in through the door.
Gabriel stepped through the door into what he considered home. Just inside the entrance was a row of hooks for hats and clothing. Beyond it was a lounge that looked like it had come directly out of an old English country club, with old fashioned stuffed chairs, a full sized fire place, and walls lined with shelf after shelf of books. In the back wall were a pair of oak doors at opposite ends of the room
"Welcome to my home, it took me and Arthur a long time to create it, but it was well worth it."

"Looks like it, its very cozy," Kurt remarked looking around. "Where exactly is this?"
