The missile was flying directly down now screaming, it smashed into the corner of the housing building opposite the A.M.A.P.P.M.I building. Near the palace. It cut through the building and exploded shattering the building apart. Who knows how much damage had been done but the sub fled the area returning to port.

(OOC: Zaheran, I'll leave you to decide your own death toll, sorry if this is not accurate or anything...)
The impact spot was completely destroyed and much of the surrounding area was damaged, the death toll on the Fictions forces was horrific, most of them had been outside surrounding the A.M.A.P.P.I. Building and some were in the direct impact point, most were unprotected from the explosion and resulting destruction, those who had survived were the ones on the NorthWest part, joining Government Street and Delfins Way, and there were only a few over there as that was the back part of the building.

One good thing could be said of this. The civilian casualties were minimal as most had left the area when they saw so many soldiers.

The majority of the Zasheranian force was to the south and west of the A.M.A.P.P.I. building, in well fortified positions. This precaution saved a lot of lives. While the twelve men in the apartment complex on Government Street, which had taken a direct hit, died immediately as the explosion ripped through the building, the remaining SSC soldiers did quite well, at least when compared to the unfortunate Fictional soldiers. The five fireteams occupying the Pewa Road/Delfins Way building managed to evacuate before it fell apart, and their losses were limited to two serious injuries and a few burns, cuts and scratches.

The colonel coughed and opened his eyes. To his amazement, he was still alive. Apparently the missile hadn't been carrying a nuclear warhead. With a grimace he rose to his feet and brushed the dust from his uniform. He ran to the window and looked out. Smoke was rising from the other side of the government complex, and he felt the anger inside him grow. There had been men in that building. His men. Someone was going to pay for this. He turned to the communication officer, who was trying to get his equipment back online.

"Contact the team leaders and try to get an estimate of our casualties. Then contact Admiral Wahnschaffe and the Defence Ministry and tell them we're still alive."

He did not wait for an answer as he turned around and faced the operation officer. His eyes gleamed of cold fire.

"Gather whatever men you can and follow me. I think someone inside the A.M.A.P.P.I. building called in that missile strike on us. No deadly force is to be used. I want the bastards taken alive."

The man nodded. The colonel took an assault rifle and ran out of the door. Down on the street more SSC soldiers were waiting, their constrained faces barely hiding their fury and lust for revenge. Without a word they followed him as he rushed through the streets against the A.M.A.P.P.I. building. The closer they got, the more damage did the houses have. They stopped at firing distance, taking cover behind whatever they could find. As one man, the grenadiers raised their weapons. Thirty grenades were thrown into the air, falling as hail over the building. The rebels had challenged Zaheran. Now they would pay for their insolence.

Thornton had not been in the direct path of the missile, but had still been close enough knocked back forcefully enough to make him lose consciousness, slowly he began to wake up, he felt as though someone had whacked him over the head with a brick. Which was almost accurate in that he had been hit on the head. As he tried to stand up he felt a searing pain in his side, one or more of his ribs had been broken, he fell back down gasping for breath...

***

In his hideout in City Espias Aaron Gracia paced the room, the missile, if they had launched it would have impacted by now, he hoped it had worked and helped the Whiseaians get out safely. He cursed under his breath, he felt so useless here, he felt he should be helping.

Biggs felt the building shudder and buckle the explosion knocking him and his men over. They quickly started moving, heading towards the impact zone. They jumped out of the gaping hole on the second floor and started running through the rubble. Behind them the Zahereans closed on the building, as they ran though the Fictional wounded they picked up a few coats and helmets from the dead and dying. Blending in, they stopped running and started to move away from the city center. They were going to get out alive.

The helicopter landed on the roof of the City Espias A.M.AP.P.M.I. building, it was a small compared to, say the CA Aquaria and C.Utand building, only being three stories tall, but on their arrival Sheryl Roy and Bryce Drabek were greeted at once.

***

Inside the building in the phone monitoring room Dora Brown was listening to a recording of a mobile call which she had ignored but now regretted. The only reason she was listening to it now was because of the voice recognition software that automatically scanned each call. As she listened to the recording she went pale, it was Gracia talking to someone unregistered but the voice soft-where placed the accent as probably being Whiskeasian with about a 40% room for error. And they were talking about the missile and the worst bit was Miss Roy and the General had just arrived here and if they found out about this.... she made to delete the recording but stopped. She would get in far more trouble if she did that and they found out so instead she sent it off to have the signal traced. if she found out where Gracia was, maybe she would be spared...

Dora did not realise that asking for tracking would go through the management levels, and of course they would too have listened to the recording, now she was faced with the unpleasant talk of explaining how she could have neglected her duty to such an extent. To the head of A.M.A.P.P.M.I and the ruler of the country who was in a very bad mood having escaped an assassination attempt for the second time.
“I...It was...was not a ...A...Number...T-that w.-would...need m-monitoring” she stammered
“Do you realise that by your incompetence you caused the death of who knows how many people”
“S-sorry sir...I'm so sorry....”
“Sorry is not good enough” Sheryl cut in sharply, Drabek just turned and walked out of the room, Sheryl realised this and ran after him
“What should happen to her?”
“Have her executed. Such negligence cannot be excused”
“yessir...”
“Oh and Sheryl, Gracia was talking to someone on the phone, who was it?”
“We don't know, the software says there is a 60% chance that the person is Whiskeasian”

Could it be possible that should this is true they are doing this it is without your knowledge, or maybe it is with your knowledge and with your given consent. I very much hope this is not the case and this is all one big misunderstanding, either way, if your people, military or civilian are in this country I request that they leave at once. The waters were still, except for the waves and splashes as fish jumped. Suddenly, a wake appears from nowhere, spreading from a point. Several more appear, and as one, 10 USSPP Leopard Seal class Submarines rise from beneath the waters. A few miles away, there is a larger whoosh, and a much larger submarine rises out of the waters: A converted Aircraft carrier, the USSPP Leviathan. A radio message beams from the Leviathan to the harbor control.

USSPP Leviathan to Fictions Harbor Control: We have been observing this conflict for long, and can only conclude that you are oppressing your populace. As such, we are assisting the rebels in their fight for freedom.

The Leopard Seals fire a volley of smart torpedoes, targeting military watercraft belonging to Fictions, and sink once again beneath the waves.

IC: The Angenterian shock teams were making progress, but not without meeting some resistance from the guards in the prison. Running battles broke out between teams of guards and invading soldiers, and sporadic gunfire could be heard throughout the prison. Casualties had been taken, but they had been light at most. Overall, though, the mission was coming along well. Those prisoners that could be freed had been done so, and were in the process of being led out of the prison to waiting vehicles. Other squads had begun to pull pack, providing cover for the prisoners as they made their escape.

Josef and his team stopped at the cell door. Gunfire echoed throughout the halls, and the alarm was still blaring. Taking a quick glance at the cell, Jesef was surprised that it was marked with a name, which read '4735162, Newstead.' Recalling the conversation with Gracia, Josef straightened up.

"Open it." He commanded.

His men obliged, blasting open the lock with a few bullets, and began to push the door open...

Reading the letter he had come to certain conclusions unable to confirm or deny Well from his experience that meant 'yes but I'm not admitting it' the caring about human right's part just confirmed them as a do-gooder nation and as for the bit about aiding the rebels, though they had not said that directly that is what they implied. That placed every Whiskeasian who may -or may not- be in the country as a possible terror suspect, and should be treated as such in accordance to Fictions laws. Diplomatic immunity is for diplomats and as far as he knew there was no Whiskeasian embassy here so those rules would not apply.

The door to Newstead's cell was opened opened, there was a man inside, he looked in a bad way, Like he had undergone hours of torture, this was the case with every one of the prisoners they had found, but there was a haunted look about this man, as though he had seen something which had caused a deep mental breakdown. He did not look up when the door opened, he did not react at all.

"Alright, people, let's focus"

The lights in the briefing room dimmed as the projector in the back of the room slowly came to life, filling the air with a deep hum. Secretary of State Everett Moore stood, shuffled his notes, and began to speak,

"Good morning, gentlemen. And, of course, ladies. I'm going to be blunt. We have a situation. Perhaps a week ago, if you recall, the Dictatorship of Fictions closed its borders. Shortly thereafter, it shut down all telecommunications. Well, civilian Fictin telecommunications, at least. We have an intelligence asset, FIS-OD paramilitary, in the capital..." Moore took a moment to check his notes, "Aquaria, hereafter referred to as CA Aquaria, as is their tradition. Our asset, codename..." again Moore checked his notes, "'Kestral', reported in last night during a brief break in the telecommunications block.

"What he had to say was troubling, at the very least. It seems that Fictions is on the verge of a civil war. Moreover, there are already foreign powers operating in the area. Shortly before he was forced from his apartment by some sort of foreign counter-terrorist unit, he saw Whiskeasian SF force their way into the AMAPPMI building, which, for the unenlightened, is essentially their Ministry of Propaganda. On a side note, it turns out it was a lucky break for him that the foreigners did force him out, because minutes later the building was leveled by a cruise missile. Still working on tracing that one.

"Comrades, as much as we try to avoid getting dragged into neo-imperialist squabbles, the Department of State feels that it would be beneficial for us to intervene here. In addition to the obvious benefits of a post-war alliance with an oil-rich state, we also have a responsibility to investigate the allegations of massive human rights abuses, and to put a stop to them if they are indeed happening. Codename Kestral is working on putting together a new network of informants and discreetly sending out feelers, trying to get in touch with the Fictin rebels. I've already sent the word up to the Council, and they've authorized us to provide him with whatever he needs. Let me make this perfectly clear: codename Kestral is running the show over there. Not a single one of you has the authority to countermand his orders at this point. So let's get to work on getting him what he asks for. Dismissed."

Heart of Aquaria Cafe, CA Aquaria, Dictatorship of Fictions

John Blackwell, aka Kestral, sat anxiously at a table, slowly sipping his drink. His informant had supposedly put him in touch with a member of the rebellion, but he, or she, was late by about twenty minutes. If the rebel didn't show soon, he was going to call the meet a failure and try again...

A man entered the cafe, he looked anxious and a bit jumpy, well he had only been a street away from a cruise missile explosion so that was almost to be expected. He had forgotten about getting in contact with these new foreign people until only a few minutes. He looked around the cafe, he had been give a brief description of the man he was supposed to be meeting and on his second look around the cafe saw him and walked over.
“Sorry if I'm mistaken but are you Kestral?” he hoped it was him, but it had to be as there were only two foreign looking people in the cafe and the other was a woman and he had been told that the person he was meeting would be a man.

"...and thus we have proof that another nation is supporting the rebels. The missile was fired from a submarine, probably nuclear, and the probability of the rebels having one of those is almost non-existant. Gentlemen, we are facing a serious opponent, who has already showed that he is ready to devote much resources to ensure a rebel victory."

A heavy silence fell after the Minister of Defence had concluded his briefing. A crossroads had been reached. Now they had to choose between backing down and watch Drabek's government fall, or continue their support and risk a confrontation with another nation of unknown power. It was a hard decision. Both paths had their advantages, and their risks. If Gracia succeeded in defeating Drabek's regime, he might inspire 'democratists' in other countries, including their own. On the other hand, there was the risk of war with the rebel supporters. The Foreign Minister was the first to speak up.

"The die is cast. I think we should continue. If it comes to a war, we have the resources and allies to win it. But I don't think it will come to that. With a bit of diplomacy and intimidation we can probably get the enemy to back down, once we have identified them, that is. We should focuse more on finding and eliminating Gracia, though. If he dies, the whole rebel movement will fall like a house of cards."

The others agreed. Yes, that was sensible. If the rebel movement was eliminated, the rebel supporters would have no reason to remain in Fictions. The Emperor raised his hand to silence the murmur.

"Then we do so. Lucien, dispatch a unit from Wolfpack to Fictions, with orders to infiltrate the enemy movement. Raise the alert level of our troops in India, but quietly. I don't want to cause a conflict with our neighbours, but if something happens, we have to move quickly. if someone asks, tell them that it is because of the launch of that ballistic missile. Marius, contact the Fictional government and ask them if they have any information on what states are supporting the rebel side. Check with our embassies, too. Someone might have noticed something."

The Zaheranians stormed into the AMAPPMI buiding, unaware that their prey had already escaped. They found the building deserted, to the disappointment of the colonel. The enemy had fled the battlefield. He turned to his operations officer with barely concerned fury in his voice.

Saul thought for a moment then shook his head
"AMAPPMI is set up so each cities station is semi-self governing, yes they all receive orders from Roy but if she was to die, AMAPPMI would only start to fall apart once all stations in every city hears about it, kinda like a domino row, to have all AMAPPMI buildings go down it would take anything from a few hours to a few days, but that would only last until the establish a new head which will take anything from a few days to a few weeks" he paused, he knew all this because he used to work in A.M.A.P.P.M.I before he became a freedom fighter, when he spoke again it was a bit slower
"But your right about Drabek being the main target, get him and the system collapses. But we still don't know where he is. Roy was with him in the building so it follows that if she isn't there, which she isn't, she'll be wherever he is"

Listen, I need to know where every helicopter in the area landed in the last... five hours. Alright, I know it's a tall order, but this is mission-critical. Get on it." He hung up.
"Well, we have inconclusive low-resolution satellite imagery, which isn't thermal, so I'm going to get a long list of locations in a bit. But it's a start, I suppose. In the meantime, there're going to be retaliatory strikes for the assassination attempt last night... what can we do to hinder those?"

“Well, None of our people use any form of uniform so we can just blend in with normal people, that would help in the short run, but the government is not above killing innocent people.”

"It's encrypted and routes through a satellite, harder to block," Blackwell offered as an explanation. "It seems like if you showed the people that they can fight Drabek, they'd be more willing to take a stand and ally themselves with you. Maybe a concentrated car-bombing campaign... we could rig it quickly enough, and it won't incriminate specific individuals. Unless your government has no problem with summary executions, that is."

Meanwhile, the USSPP battle fleet continued around the island, targeting Fictions Naval ships as they went. As they passed the area of main conflict, a one man minisub was dispatched, containing an operative. The man in the sub was one of the best secret ops that had come out of the USSPP military academies. After packing his needs in a waterproof case, he abandoned the submarine, which detonated, a thermite charge destroying what was left of it. He emerged on the shore of a deserted beach, pulled the duffel out of the case, and applied a chemical to the waterproof envelope which dissolved it. Throwing the bottle into the sea, he picked up the duffel, and walked down the road, whistling and sticking his thumb out in the universal sign to hitch-hike. He was wearing a slightly damp T-shirt and Swim trunks, as if he had just been for a swim.

The Pacific

The retalitation strike was already on its way. More than two thousands kilometers away from their target, the crews of two Virginia-class attack submarines were readying their weapons. Twelve Tomahawks, six from each vessel, would be fired against the rebel base. Together they represented a destructive potential twelve times as large as the single missile fired against CA. Aquaria. The strike would be a strong message to the rebels to give up or face the consequences. The crewmen had been briefed on the death of their compatriots in the Fictional capital, and so it was with malicious smiles they loaded the missiles into the launchers. In three hours, the missiles would start falling over the rebel base, bringing death and retribution.

Within five minutes, the first missile left the Erich Forste. When left the water, a solid-fuel booster was ignited. It took the missile to cruise level, where its wings were unfolded and a turbofan engine took over. It was soon followed by another, with one missile leaving the launchers every second. Guided by GPS, the missiles began their three-hour journey towards their distant goal. The rebels were in for a surprise.

The two submarines left the launch area and set course for India, where they would be refitted with new missiles and recieve a report of how much damage they had caused.

The missiles sped towards their destination, soon they would strike and every rebel who had been prevented from leaving the base was going to die, they knew they were going to die they just did not know how. Katie Longe who had volunteered to stay behind was trying to keep the moral of everyone on the base high, it wasn't doing much good. And she kept wondering why had they not attacked yet?
The missiles closed in. In an hour the base would be wiped off the map for ever.

Several explosions went off above the Leviathan, crewman on the decks scattering. Medical teams were dispatched, and took the injured downside. With a low hum, a large turret on the sub extended through a hatch, and rotated. The turret had no barrel, just an assembly of lenses. With a hum, a powerful ruby laser beamed forth, targeted on the point the shells had originated from. The laser re-targeted, a smaller targeting laser beaming forth, tracking the nuclear missiles. The main beam stabbed forth once for each missile. The deck cleared, and the sub sank below the waters once more.

The men continues their 'patrol' to the edge of the city. In a back alley near the outskirts Biggs sent a message to Gracia. It said Now, three miles east.
His men buttoned up their jackets and arranged their helmets. They started off towards to the pick up point. He sent a quick sit rep via satellite to his bosses back in Whiskeasy.

Imhov walked into the PM's office. He had bad news, "Um, Sir. I'm afraid to say that our men on the ground in Fictions are running into difficulty. Although we have International support mostly on our side, we believe however a powerful nation is supporting the Fictional government. It is probably the Zaherans, as their military movement on the area has sky rocketed in the last week. Ships, planes and we believe subs however we cannot confirm that. Prime Minister Jack Daniels walked to the podium, looking serious and stern. He turned to the cameras and said "My fellow Whiskeasians and people of the world. The situation in Fiction is getting out of control. Not only have they blocked off all outside communications they are waging a brutal propaganda and terror war. They are doing terrible things to the people, killing, murdering stealing and all in the name of one man. General Drabek, this man has killed thousands of people. I denounce him and his government. The Commonwealth of Whiskeasy does not recognize the Dictatorship of Fictions. I believe that they have forsaken all sovereignty as they do not stand for the people. Or for democracy and personal freedoms. Any Whiskeasin citizens harmed or detained inside Fictional borders will result in immediate and appropriate retaliation. We ask the rest of the world if they stand with us today. Do we trust the murdering snake? Or a new dynamic government under more central views? We ask now that the previous government if Fictions holds immediate elections. Drabek may run if he see's fit, but another, perhaps the guerrilla leader Gracia as well to run against him. The blatant disregard for even basic Human Rights is disgusting.
Long live Whiskeasy,
Long live the Queen,
And long live Freedom."
He turned away from the cameras and walked back inside Parliament House. He smiled and thought that would provoke some interesting responses.

Drabek watched the press conference; this confirmed it once and for all. Whiskeasy were aiding the terrorists. But oh, swift retaliation? What they did not know would not hurt them. He had already given the order for them to be treated as any terrorist would, but nothing had happened yet. Still there was time, he was not going to give up power just because some do-gooder nation had publicly stated that he should.

“Human rights. Well Dammit. Why can't these countries mind their own business?”

The message was sent to some of the rebels in a base not too far from the city, but not too close either, It was a small base that was not really a base at all, but rather one of those small clusters of houses with perhaps a tiny pub or inn that sometimes cropped up beside the road, this particular cluster was pretty much under rebel control and had been for quite some time. Because it was a legitimate roadside cluster and as far as the government knew, had nothing to do with the rebels it had never really been investigated. Nothing ever happened in the roadside clusters. A jeep had pulled up trying to enter the city and the person who was driving was making quite a convincing argument with the soldier who was explaining with growing impatience that the capital city was closed until further notice. The driver made a fake show of frustration and drove off away from the city stopping three miles east of the main road, the driver pulled up on the side of the road, got out the Jeep, took out a cigarette and lit it. If the information was false and the police or army asked why he was parked out in the middle of nowhere, he would say he stopped for a smoke before heading back to where he had come from.

“Pretty bad. Hits nearing the millions, National. Everyone will know, you know how fast these things travel”
“If I may make a suggestion” They both looked at the Foreign affairs minister
“What is it”
“Well...Maybe a public reply to this...”
“Perhaps...”
“Maybe Miss Roy” she said the name with a hint of venom “Knows more about this stuff. It is after all, her job”
“It is... One last thing. What the heck is going on between you two?”

The press release was to be aired nationally and internationally, from where it was happening, just by looking at the location, it looked like it could be anywhere, impossible to tell which city he was in.
“As people may or may not be aware, Fictions is undergoing some small political unrest. This in itself would not be a problem, Fictions is quite capable with dealing with terrorists. However, it would appear that some other nations may be assisting in this which has made the task of fighting terrorism all the harder. Terrorism is a threat not only nationally but internationally as well, what decent nation can openly support terrorists? Let it be known that terrorism of any sort will not be tolerated and any people, Citizens or foreign nationals that are found to be participating in terrorism within Fictional borders will be arrested and treated in compliance to Fictional laws. I hope it will not come to this but Fictions will not tolerate threats”

CA. Aquaria

A small team of eight soldiers was searching for survivors in the rubble left after the missile attack. They had retrieved four of their comrades' bodies, as well as number of Fictional ones, but so far no survivors. It was by pure chance they discovered Thornton. One of the team members turned around to say something to one of his colleagues, in exactly the right time to see a man strenously trying to stand up. If he had been laying on the ground, they would not have seen him due to the increasing darkness and the rubble, but when he stood up, enough light reached him to make him visible. The soldiers waved to him.

"Are you alright, sir?"

The man did not answer. The soldier watched him collapse and cursed loudly. He began to run towards the man, followed by his comrades. The man was bleeding heavily and appeared to have broken several bones. The soldier kneeled beside the man and took his pulse. It seemed stable, but without proper healthcare he could still die. A medical group appeared with a stretcher, on which they gently placed Thornton. He was carried to a nearby building, where a improvised military hospital had been created.

City Germuarur

In a bar in the city centre, a man was sitting, drinking beer while he waited for his rebel contact to appear. He was Zaheranian, although his appearance made it hard to indentify him as such. He lacked the black hair and blue eyes that were so common among his compatriots. Instead he had a vaguely South American appearance, with brown eyes and hair and a slightly brownish tint of skin. His passport said his name was Juán Varesco, but he had many passports, and even more names. He was wearing a inexpensive t-shirt and the sort of jeans you could buy for a dollar in any developing country in the world. One look at him made most people start thinking about guerillas. But in reality he was a expert Zaheranian infiltration agent, a member of the secret organisation known as the Wolfpack. His mission was to infiltrate the rebel movement and kill Gracia. This the rebels knew nothing of, of course, nothing about him revealed that he was anything else than what he appeared to be, a professional revolutionary and a die-hard supporter of the rebels.

Unfortunately my nation is still hesitant to commit a military force of its own, but I can probably commandeer some SF or intelligence paramilitary. And air support... maybe a carrier in international waters with strikes flying below radar.
"If you can take a port of some kind, too, my nation will probably be more willing to land soldiers of our own. We have to figure that even if we can take down the general, which assumes that we can find him, his people aren't just going to give up. And then we have to take into account the foreign powers here; depending on how committed they are, they might escalate their presence when Drabek goes down.

(Biggs)Ah, hello sir and sir. Quick sit rep. We have two assaults on Drabeks positions and both times we have failed. I'm afraid to say that killing this man may be near impossible. We are going to find out his next position and launch a tactical strike on it. However I believe it is time to commit more troops to the theatre. I suggest a heavy media campaign before a blockade and strategic sir assault. Get some Carriers, as well as some more subs and troops. I think that with other support, I know that Angenteria are in on it, you could force the Fictional Government out of power. The new one would be completely under your control with your troops in the area. The forces needed would have to be a couple of battalions of Paras, an armoured brigade and several armoured infantry brigades. That is as well as air and sea superiority.
(Imhov) You sure? Any other way we can get out of this?
(Biggs) No sir, no way out. At the very least my men and me are stuck. This place is locked up tighter than the officers’ mess.
(Smith) We will speak to the PM, I will be giving my support for an invasion. So will the Trade Advisor.
(Biggs) Thank you sirs. Out

He shutdown the sat phone and deleted the number. He had it memorised anyway.

“Sir!” Drabek looked up, Sheryl came running into the office brandishing a piece of paper excitedly
“What is it?”
“We have a possible location of Gracia! the trace from the phone call. He's somewhere in THIS city!”
“What!? This city!?” Drabek could not believe it. of all the arrogance of the man, to come into a city.
“Yessir,”
“Where?”
“We don't have an exact location but somewhere in the East-end”
“Send some people to investigate the entire area, leave no building un-searched, when you have the man. Take him alive but kill everyone else that may be with him”
“Yessir. One last thing sir”
“What?”
“The main rebel base. completely obliterated. Wiped of the map, three tomahawk missiles, Zaheran did this”
“Good, Excellent. At least foreigners are competent, which i can't quite say for our own people. Now. do what i told you”
“yessir. um, Sir?”
“What now!?”
“Should the propaganda campaign continue?”
“It had to be convincing. But yes. If you can. Do it. now GO”
Sheryl ran out of the room shouting out orders as she did so. Drabek leaned back in his chair and stared at the ceiling. This was taking way longer than necessary, When he had first heard of the rebellion he thought it would be over within a day. And it would have been too, but other nations had to get involved where they should not have done and now... Now there was a possibility of war, and who knows what would come of that?

***

Saul listened, he could see flaws in this, one of the main ones he voiced
“Well, that's the thing see. I don't actually know where Gracia is, see, we left the main base and split up, and even if I did, he's most likely in another city entirely, and getting out of this city is impossible, they closed it down, no-one can get in or out and I can't call any of my contacts in other cities as the phone lines are blocked” he sighed and took another swig of his drink setting the glass down on the table “I'm sorry, you arrived at a bad time. We're scattered”

***

Gracia looked out of the window of the apartment, he had just received news of the base. It was seen by one of the clusters that were on the roadside, the people in it spreading the news around the city. They told of a massive explosion in the desert preceded by three missiles. He knew everyone who was still in the base. All of them, they were dead. He should have stayed behind, why had he let Katie talk him into going. He should have stayed with his people to the end. He was now more determined than ever. He would stay on, he would win this. He would fight with all he had and would take down the government who had killed so many and hurt so many more. Change would come no matter what Drabek threw at him.

"Are you completely sure?"

The Emperor's voice was hoarse and tired. He had dark circles under his one remaining eye and looked like he hadn't shaved for a couple of days. The Defence Minister looked compassionately at his ruler and long-time friend. When it came to hard work and irregular hours, being the ruler of a country so vast as Zaheran had no competitors.

"Yes, my lord. The Whiskeasians have openly declared their support for the rebels, and now we can see raised activity among several of their Army and Navy units. There is only one conclusion to be drawn. They are preparing an invasion, no doubt about it. Sir, with your permission I would like raise the MILAL(Military Alert) status of our forces in the Pacific and India to two. The question is no longer if the Whiskeasians are going to strike, it's just when."

The Emperor's fist came slamming down on the table, sending papers fluttering into the air.

"How I hate those hypocrites! They speak of 'freedom' and 'democracy', but they only bring death and destruction. How can a country that supports 'human rights' initiate a war that will lead to the death of thousands?"

The Defence Minister nodded.

"Homicidal maniacs. But we need to deal with the situation at hand. Will you give me permission to give Fictions military support in the event of a war?"

"You have my permission. Throw them back into the sea. They have to be stopped, for the sake of humanity. I will contact Drabek."

Dear fellow leader,

I regret to inform you that we have observed raised military activity in the Commonwealth of Whiskeasy. We have strong reason to believe that this is a sign of an impending invasion. I wish to assure you that you have the unreserved support of the Holy Empire of Zaheran and that we stand ready to assist you in the coming storm. As soon as hostilities break out, we will transfer two divisions from India to assist in your defence. You will also be given support by our Navy and Airforce.

We advise you to start mobilising as soon as possible, but to do it as secretly. It would also be of utter importance to eliminate Gracia, as his rebel movement is a fifth column inside your own borders and probably will commit acts of sabotage and assassination. If you need military equipment, we will provide you with the desired materiel.

As a last piece of advise, I would suggest that you highen the security around your own person. The invasion will probably be preceded by assassination attemps against you and high governmental and military officials.

Yours sincerely,

Dieter Antonius
Emperor of Zaheran

OOC: Hope this is okay, Whiskeasy, but it's kind of hard to hide any larger military movements in the age of satellites. You are, of course, welcome to detect that I'm raising my alert status and so on. I will post an ORBAT in the OOC thread.

((OOC: It's a stretch, admittedly, but laser missile defenses are not too far off. Certainly, if government projections are to be believed (so give or take a couple decades :)) then they're only a couple of years away. Not so far, though, as to constitute PMT.))

((Actually, they exist today. My Dad's an Engineer. He's recently been working on a anti-missile laser mounted on a modified 747. It's relatively simple to mount one on my sub. And, much of the mass of the Leviathan is a rather large Nuclear Reactor, for one in a Nuclear Sub, that is. There are also steel-cutting lasers that exist, so mount both on a turret. The current drain for the laser insures that teh sub is stationary because of the amount of energy the lasers chew up. Also, the aircraft aspect is basically limited to the Pinguininan Equivalent of a few A-10 Warthogs stashed belowdecks, and a couple fighter-bombers. And I thought there were missiels targeted on the Rebel base. Apparently not Nukes, but what-ev.))

Shit. Shit shit shit. an Invasion? A damn invasion!? So this is how Whiskeasy wanted to play it then? They wanted war. They were declaring war, they claimed to be peace loving humanitarians but they were really just warmongers who used “Freedom” as an excuse, so many nations did that, claimed to support civil liberties while really looking for a fight. At least they had not shown any interest in Fictions oil, that would have been really absurd, who did that anyway? He shook his head slightly, he had become side-tracked
“Miss Roy”
“Yessir”
“Have you heard from Thornton lately?”
“No sir... I... We think he was in the path of the missile strike...”
“So, he's dead then”
“We don't know...But...There is a strong chance of it”
“Then the army comes under my direct command” He hadn't been in charge of the army for what... Nine years? Since taking over office in 1999, he rubbed his temples, the headaches returned with a vengeance
“Sir. Do you want me to get in contact with everyone?”
“Yes, do that”
“What about...What about GECKO sir”
Drabek looked at her with a carefully blank expression
“Now Sheryl, I always thought you were a sensible woman. you know that is just a conspiracy theory.”
“Yessir, sorry sir”
“I belive you know Sosa's contact”

Your support in this situation is very much appreciated, I had hoped that the situation would not reach this point but unfortunately it has.
We have begun mobilising out troops in secret, however if a full state of war is reached secrecy will no longer be an option, and the truth of it will have to be known at least in Fictions. Either that or rumour will worsen the situation. Again, thankyou for your continued support.

Sincerely,

The meeting was arranged, all the military high ups, apart from Thornton who was believed dead by the majority was there, Including a man who did not sit down, but rather, stood slightly away from the group, staying in the shadows as much as possible. This man, for all intents and purposes did not exist, there was no record of him anywhere in the country. During the meeting, many things were discussed, arrangements were made and the people dismissed. The various factions of the army were on high alert, the navy, the airforce, the army, the specials. All prepared all on high alert.
At the end of the meeting when everyone left Drabek and the man who did not exist stayed behind.
“Sosa. Good to see you again”
The man nodded
“And you sir.” his voice was a whisper
“I have a target for your people”
“yessir.”
“Aaron Gracia”
“Understood”
“That is all”
“Understood” The man walked out of the room, he did understand. That's what Drabek liked about Sosa, he was reliable, competent and always got a job done.

The man waved at the disappearing car, and pulled a camera out of his bag. Strolling down the avenue, he snapped pictures of buildings, people, and the like. Walking into an alley opposite a restauraunt where Politicians often dined, he knocked over a trash can. Placing a device inside the trash can, pointing at the Restauraunt, he heaped the trash over it once more. The device was a micro message missile, designed to follow a 3D path plotted out for it. Instead of a warhead, inside its pointed tip was concealed a solid state recorder, and a minature loudspeaker. A few hours later, during the lunch hour, the missile activated. With a whoosh, it rockets out of the trash can, through the window of the restauraunt, and embeds itself in the ceiling. The body of the missile falls of, revealing a speaker. "We send this message: The oppression of the Rebels will cease. If not, there will be dire Consequences. This message will now Self Destruct." With a beep, a thermite charge activates, melting the missile to slag, while another destroys the launcher in the trash can.

“Miss Roy. I very much hope for your sake this is not a joke”
“No, it was a missile...Or trash-can. Or something. It spoke then blew up”
“And what did it say?”
“Stop the oppression of the rebels or face the consequences”
“Ah. A bin with morals.”
“No sir, not a bin”
“Where did this talking bin missile come from” He smiled, there was something mildly amusing about the situation.
“The missile came from the bin sir, then landed in the ceiling”
“The missile or the bin”
“The missile sir” Sheryl sighed, she knew Drabek was being like this intentionally, he seemed to find this whole thing funny.
“Who sent it i believe is important, not the bin men I assume”
“No sir, that's very unlikely sir. We don't know who sent it, they only announced themselves as we”
“Whiskeasy?”
“Maybe sir. Who knows”
“And where did this happen?”
“City Ibea sir”
“Rouge dustbins in City Ibea. I did not think C.Ibea was a target, it being on the other side of the contry and all”
“Sir. C.Utand was targeted not long ago, although that seems to have stopped. Never did catch who was behind that. Anyway C.Utand is further than C.Ibea, so why not?”
“Your right. But obviously we're going to ignore it, It will take more than Trash-cans spewing out mysterious messenger missiles”

At the hospital, a medical officer saw to Thornton's wounds. They were grave, but not life-threatening. Two broken ribs, a broken leg, some blood loss, but no internal damage. He sterilised the wounds and splinted the leg. Thornton was then placed in a bed in one of the "hospital's" rooms, guarded by a private who had been instructed to give him a sedative at even intervals, so that he would remain unconscious and unmoving, as to not disturb the healing process.

Half an hour later the colonel arrived to visit the wounded. The majority of the Zaheranians had been able to leave the hospital after a few hours, but two were so gravely wounded that they would be evacuated to India, where they could be given expert medical care. When he finished, the chief medical officer gestured to him to follow. He lead him to another room, which was guarded by a armed soldier. He opened the door and the two men stepped in. The colonel's eyes widened when he saw the man laying on the bed. So this was where Thornton was. He had been searching for him the whole day. The medical officer closed the door behind them.

"One of our teams found him an hour ago. He is in a quite good shape. Nothing that won't heal in a few months. He is a major player in the government, isn't he?"

The colonel nodded.

"Their Defence Minister, in fact. Put him on the list for evacuation. Things won't be especially healthy here in a few days, and I need him alive."

A few hours later, an Airbus A400 rook of from the military airfield where the SSC force had originally landed, carrying Thornton, two wounded soldiers and some of the armaments that had been captured at the assault of the first rebel base. As entered international airspace, three Super Hornets from the carrier groups joined up and escorted the aircraft halfway to its destination, where a group of Eurofighters took over. After about three hours of flight, it landed at a military airfield outsay Bombay. The wounded were quickly taken to a nearby military hospital.

“So he's alive then?” Drabek was relived, he didn't have time in this situation to find a competent replacement for Thonton. The fact he was alive was a good thing, the fact he was injured and out of the country was not so good, but one of three was not too bad.
“Yessir, He is sir”
“That's good at least. Any news?”
“No sir, nothing yet”
“Stay on guard”
“Yessir. I'll pass on the message”
“Good”

Miss Harper, teacher of class 3B in the Wikinfield Elementary School watched the whole school assembly, occasionally motioning to a child to remain silent while the headmaster spoke of well, anything really, she had stopped listening to the assemblies about three weeks after joining the school, they were either propaganda carefully worded to be understood and accepted by an eight year old mind or something else dull like that. The doors to the hall slammed open and four men, faces covered holding AK-47s entered and shouted for everyone to remain clam and nothing will happen, that this was a hostage situation and anyone who made any escape attempt would be killed. Five minutes passed, children cried and teachers tried to reassure them. Outside the building they could hear the muffled sound of someone talking on a megaphone, saying something about a revolution but the people in the building were too scared to pay any real attention. Another two minutes and the sound of sirens could be heard. Miss Harper felt faint with relief, the police had arrived. There was the sound if more yelling, gunshots could be heard. One of the men with the hidden faces called out to the police, warning them that if they did anything else the children would be killed. There was silence then a command by the police to surrender or force would be used. The man who had made the threat grabbed the arm of the nearest clild, a small boy who was sobbing and calling for his mother, and dragged him to his feet, the other three men followed his lead and also took a child. The unfortunate four children were lines up against the wall, execution style.
“Oh god! Please! No!” Miss harper gasped
The men ignored her and gave the threat again.

***

“Dammit!” The officer in charge swore, he was torn, he could not do anything without endangering the lives of the children. His orders were to avoid civilian loss of life, children were about as civilian as you could get.
“Sir. What should we do?”
The officer took a deep breath. here goes nothing.
“We're going to have to strike”

***

The police advanced on the rebels, one of whom panicked and fired on the four lines up children, each fell dead, the other screamed and tried to run. Some of the police tried to usher the children and teachers out of the hall, while the other kept the rebels occupied, careful not to use deadly force until every one of the civilians were out safely, whereupon they open fired, killing the rebels.

***

The incident was over, a large crowd had gathered around the school and saw the whole thing, there was no news vans as the media was blocked and there was no point in them showing up. They were not needed however, the people had seen everything and once again the fact the cities were so overcrowded was rumour friend and news of the rebel attack had spread like wildfire, causing public outrage. How could those terrorists have killed innocent children?

***

“Drabek, there was an attack on Wikinfield Elementary just before sir” Sheryl said this 'genuine' concern in her voice, Drabek reacted with equal shock and outrage, it was only when they were back in the privacy of the office he was suing that they dropped the act
“I think that went well. Rumour is a powerful thing, sir”
Drabek nodded, the plan had went well, the simulation had went well. Of course it was not just an simulation, the police had not been told that the 'rebels' were in-fact government agents. The fact they had been killed. Well it had to be done didn't it? it had to be authentic. Fake, yes. But authentic.

***

The man on television had not been able to make it past the second line of his speech when the transmutation went black. A few minutes of blank screen and then penguins appeared on the screen, leaving a lot of confused watchers. Confused about the penguins. Unfazed by the blackout that happened all the time.

Biggs had been sitting around for days, he had heard rumors. Rumors that the Rebels had been executing children. He knew this wasn't Gracia, it was a government set up. It had to be. He had been sitting there, he knew that everybody hated child killers. But what about religion killers? He was going to go to a nearby town rig a church up with explosives and let it blow. He and his men would stand around in captured uniforms, and beat the public about. That should stir the government up.
He gathered his men and set off. Nobody would question them, least of all the local police. They were dressed as the special guards to the General. They would be honored. They left the cluster heading for a nearby town they soon arrived and made their way to the church. They were going to beat some people up, hit the priest and blow up their place of worship. The people who were not in the church, very few of them watched the scene in horror a few fled the cluster for the cities, the rumor spread slower than it would, taking hours to even reach the cities, but once the people were in the cities the rumors spread faster. The government had raided a church.
In a crowded street one man threw caution to the wind and started calling out to the people.
"First the government ban all religion! Now they attack the approved church!"
This met mixed replies
"Rebel sympathizer! They killed our children! Those church people were obviously rebels!"
"Sure, that's what the government says, do you really believe them!?"
Arguments fired and soon a fight broke out between rebel sympathizers and those still loyal to the government. This did not last long. The fighters scattered as they saw the arrival of the Riot Police. Some of the more die-hard rebel supporters stayed but they were taken care of. All over the country similar fights broke out, some were far more violent and severe than this one. The citizens were splitting and tensions were mounting.

"Who ordered a raid on that church!?" Drabek slammed his fist on the desk, furious, apparently is men had carried out an unauthorized raid on some middle of nowhere church.
"Uh" Sheryl hesitated, she took a deep breath "Uh...A-apparently you did..."
"What!? I did NO such thing! Find whoever the hell did this and have them killed!"

As the church burned the troops left. Sullen and discontented the men returned to the tavern and got slowly drunk. They went to bed and got up the next morning feeling slightly better. They had broken the Padres nose and felt rather guilty. The religious men such as Biggs more so.

Rios watched the men come down into the bar, it was the day after the church attack and some of them had been affected by it. Some of the people here were not too happy about this but understood that sometimes these things had to be done. He had heard that all around the country fights were breaking out between citizens who supported the rebels and those who supported the government.

And the people's choice would be Gracia.

Once in orbit, The shuttle matched orbits with the Fictious Satellite. A Cosmonaut rides out on a scooter, basically a small rocket engine with a seat and some storage, and begins working on the satellite. After setting a loop on the telemetry circuits to prevent the tampering from being noticed, he disconnected the blocking unit from the video feed, and installed a circuit to convince the government it was working. At least until the broadcast. Meanwhile, another cosmonaut examined the circuitry modules, and sent the results back to the shuttle, where another satellite was waiting. That one was built into as close a replica of the Fictions broadcasting system as possible, and put into position with a near seamless transition. The new sattelite, however, carried a missile defense laser to prevent its destruction. The New Satellite would receive from the Fictions until the correct signal was sent from the USSPP: The signal would be theirs than. The news must be carried!

5 Azrael Class Super Dreadnoughts
10 Nimitz Carriers
10 Super Troop Transports
15 SSBN Submarines
15 Kutnetsov Class Carriers
20 Attack Subs
25 LHDs
30 Arleigh Burkley Destroyers
50 Manticore Cruisers
and
auxillary vessels were heading to Whiskeasy

On board were over 200,000 ralkovian troops ready to fight along with jets, helicopters, tanks, etc. The fleet would thrash its enemies but first it would have to get out of the ralkovian waters.

The Ralkovian Navy was a massive coil getting ready to be unleashed.(This is a combined fleet of the ralkovian states, so yeah its possible)

TO: Any nation who has aided the rebels. Esp Whiskeasy,

First off, I have to say that it is because of your interference that this sorry affair has lasted longer than necessary, It is because of your interference and giving the people the false impression that they can take a legitimate government and replace it with One that is just a step away from anarchy. I cannot think why you have taken it upon yourself to take a nation that was running effectively and had not caused any trouble internationally and plunge it into chaos merely because one group of people decided to challenge their legitimate authority.
This incident has gone on for too long and must end now. I request that all nations aiding the rebels step down and return to their own country and that any rebels in this country turn themselves in.

Jack Daniels,
This section is intended for you so listen. I do not believe for one moment that you do not have troops in Fictions, The size of this force may be large, it may be small but I do not believe that it is non-existent.
I have evidence of a Whiskeaisan plotting the CA Aquaria missile launch, because of the phone conversation that was heard between them and Gracia. But that is not all, The most recent evidence was given by a rather upset church goer, who did not attend yesterday's sermon because they were told that a staged attack would happen at their church. This person is a former rebel who claims that they saw a group of foreigners enter their place of residence. These may or may not be Whiskeasian but as no other nation has broadcasted on international television that they no longer see Fictions as sovereign, I am holding this one against yourself. I have asked you once and will do so again. Withdraw any troops you may have in Fictions and do not interfere with the way our government is run.
One last thing, Because of your public support for the terrorist movement the Commonwealth of Whiskeasy is hereby classed as a hostile nation, any Whiskeasian citizen living or here on business will be seen as a possible terror suspect and will be detained pending investigation.

Sincerely,

“Sure. Your right, this should be discussed in private” She smiled “Any suggestions?” she finished her drink, she did not know much about this person and wanted to find out more, especially now when anyone could turn traitor and she could trust no-one.

The agent gave her a charming smile.

"Your place, maybe? I haven't had time to get an apartment yet. Arrived yesterday. And the motel I'm staying at isn't that nice, unfortunately."

_____________________________

Zaheran was readying its forces. Leaves for military personnel stationed in India were cancelled and they were given 48 hours to return to their units. As the holiday season had not yet arrived, most divisions could quickly reach their full manpower. The 23rd and 57th Panzergrenadiers, being divisions that were 'rapid-deployment units' and therefore held a higher alert than the majority of the Zaheranian forces, had been ready within 24 hours of the MILAL raise. They were now being transported south, making good use of the excellent train network. Cheering crowds saw trains filled with smiling soldiers roll past, on their way to liberate another country from the filth that was democracy.

The mass media, traditionally very loyal to the government, did extensive reporting on the atrocities committed by the rebels, mentioning the government only in positive terms. On everything from humour shows to blogs, 'world police states' were mocked and ridiculed. Zaheranian citizens were either too cynical or too nationalistic to care about human rights abuses in a far-away country, as long as they were not affected themselves. While the government itself had not issued an official statement, the media did its best to whip up an anti-Whiskeasian public opinion, so that the populace would be ready for a war if it became necessary.

The harbours in the south of the country, especially in the port cities of the west coast, were filled with warships, everything from mighty aircraft carriers to slender frigates, part of the mighty fleets that officially would be conducting an exercise in the Pacific Ocean. Everyone knew, of course, that their real mission was to intercept the Whiskeasian fleet if it tried to invade Fictions.

Millions of people in the port cities had gathered at the harbours to see the ships leave. Parents took farewell of their sons, wives and girlfriends of their men, with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts. Thousands of young men woul sail out to defeat the enemy, and in their hearts their beloved ones knew that some might not return. Several million eyes followed the great armade as it headed out of the harbours of India and watched as it disappeared over the horizon. The arm of Zaheran was long, as the enemy soon would witness.

Matters in Fictions were going from bad to worse. What stared off as small riots between small groups of people soon erupted into chaos. And it spread fast. Within hours every city was like a battle zone. City Ibea, The largest port city was mainly under government control. Rebels and their supporters however continued to carry out many attacks, but they did not last more than five minutes at most, but they kept coming.

City Utand was a power struggle with no side showing signs of being on top, gunfights are are common here and spontaneous attacks by the rebels and government happen often.

***

City Majovul was almost entirely under rebel control, The military and police had superiority in weapons and trying to crack down but the rebels outnumbered them.

***

City Tyrosor started off under Government control but by a series of Simultaneous surprise attacks the rebels were starting to gain superiority.

***

City Germuarur was a mess of riots and fighting with no-one seemingly at an advantage.

***

City Norata was under complete government control, the last of the rebel resistance there had been eliminated and the military stationed there had left to help out in other, more volatile cities leaving the police to make sure the rebels do not try again.

***

City Eris Seems to flicker from government control to rebel control and back again, like a tennis match.

***

Capital Aquaria (south) had a large amount of rebel influence, riots and attacks by rebels happen at frequent intervals, However the Government has main control on the north part of CA Aquaria

***

City Espias is surprisingly perhaps the most volatile, With both Drabek and Gracia in the same city the amount of Government and rebel forces acting in this city is almost triple some of the others, despite the fact this is by far not the largest city. The Ralkovian intelligence network chatted as over 300,000 more troops were sent. They would be sent to Acquaria and Espias.

Heavy tanks would be sent Majovul with helicopter and artillery support. Ralkovia would break the rebels there and let their bad morale spread into the ranks of the rebels.

Light tanks and mechanized infantry would be sent to Germuarur with helicopter support while Utand and Eris would receive about 50,000 troops to hopefully cement the government control.

The Satellite's newly installed defenses perked up, and opened fire. Five laser beams strobed out, each settling on the side of a missile, soon burning through the skin and touching the fuel tank. Fireballs begin to blossom as fuel ignites pre-maturely. The interruptor acts again. "Attention: Even as I speak now, the Government and its allies are attempting to destroy this satellite. Fight for your right to know!" The broadcast ceases again, and the officer turns to a leiutenant. "Open fire." Another Signal beams forth, and reaches what appears to be an innocuous if rather obsolete communications satellite. There is a puff of fire as pyros detonate, and the dish detatches, and floats away, exposing five rather large guided bombs, bulky with heat shielding. One moves into a launch rack, and is sped on its way by four single-use boosters. As the bomb enters the atmosphere, fins extend, guiding it. Once it is over its target, it deploys, spitting SKEET munitions (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-216-Y6Cac), which target the bridges of the Ralkovian fleet.

Also Ralkovia problem is that you didn't take any damage from his attack. We veterans gernally agree it good practice to take damage as then the other guy will take more damage to and it leads to a more intresting RP instead of blam all your missiles died,o all my troops died? Well all your planes died...etc. you know what I mean?

(Yeah but I only take as much damage as the next guy. I judge how he rps if he takes damage or not. 50 missiles especially ones meant to take the heat of hitting earth(kinetic strike missiles) wouldn't be put down by a laser.)

Fighter4u Naval Ports

Ships Captains among the fleets recieved the message that yes Fighter4u would pull out..to HELP East Congaree and send a supporting fleet to Fiction.

Which is why now seamen from the lowest rank to the those all powerful beings called adrmials were told to report to their ships for duty. As the fleet expected to be called upon. They were already ready to pull out and when the last drunken stragglers were dragged from bars or brothels, the gaint fighter4u fleet lefted port. About halfway to Penguin Protection this fleet would spilt up and one would head to Fiction where the other will keep going toward Penguin Protection.

Now, for a bit of background on Penguin Protection. It's based in Antarctica. Extremely hard to reach by sea due to pack ice. Most cities are under domes for living purposes, as the arctic environment is rather unforgiving. Right now, it is the middle of the antarctic winter. No sun, blinding blizzards.

"Okay, men, Our observation satellites indicate there are fleets coming. We hunker down, let the snow cover the domes. Our existing Submarine fleet can handle some of the fleet, if it gets past the minefield, but not all of it. I think it's time to activate the defense network." There is a mutter around the conference room. "No, I'm serious. The minefields and sentry guns should be able to handle the troops, odds are they're not used to arctic maneuvers. All in favor?" Slowly, hands are raised around the room. "That settles it. We fight."

“Sir, Ellison is requesting another teleconference”
“Fine” They made their way to the teleconferencing room, Nita Ellison was already waiting there, on the screen.
“Sir, things are getting way out of control” Nita said before Drabek even had a chance to sit down
“Yes, I can see that, there a riot outside the building even now”
“I know that, there's one up the road from here, but that's not the point. It's spread out sir. Many counties are now involved and” She looked at some notes “Some nation called, um, Penguin Protection is being invaded because of their support for the rebels”
“Good. Teach those democratic do-gooders not to interfere... Hang on does that mean it was them who did the church raid”
“No sir, they did the billboards and TV hacking”
“Right. Well.”
“Sir. The Grand World Order is requesting permission to enter the country and Ralkovia is sending troops to help stabilise the more unstable cities, as is Zaheran”
“Who would have thought it... A rebellion would cause all this...Yes, permission granted” On the other side of the screen where Nita was an explosion was heard and then shouting and she jumped
“I have to go, sorry sir” The screen went black. Drabek watched the screen for a while then turned to Sheryl
“Find out what happened”
“Yessir”

***

Nita Ellison, Minister of foreign affairs cut the transmission the moment she heard the explosion and ran out of the room in the Ministry Block and cornered one of the workers
“What happened?”
“Someone set off a bomb in the lobby”
“What?”
“A bomb. They then made a runner into the ministry of Finance”
“They're on the third floor?” that was just a floor below her, she heard more shouting and sounds of gunshots.

***

Gracia watched another rebel who was aiming a rifle which they had stolen down onto the street below, where a group of armed protesters fighting some civilian government supporters, who in some ways seemed more enthusiastic in killing the rebels than the actual police would be. The rebel with the rifle fired a few shots at the Government supporters who were causing the most trouble. Gracia sighed, things were going from bad to worse, and he had heard rumours of the government recently getting even more international support and if that was true, it meant nothing good. He tried to keep positive but was finding it increasingly more difficult lately.

“Surrender yourself at once” The soldier ordered, the man who had set off the bomb.
“Assholes! I'll blow up the whole building!” The soldiers tightened their grip on their weapons but did not fire, the man had taken one of the more important employees and was using them as a human shield, he backed away slowly, making sure the person was in-front of him the whole time. One of the soldiers made like he was going to fire, but a gesture from a higher ranker made him stop. The man was serious, he had more explosives on him enough to take down or at least severely cripple the building, depending on where he was when it was set off. He was not a rebel, or rather, he was, but not one of the rebels under Gracia, just a civilian who was on the side of the rebels.
“One last warning, give yourself up”
“Never! You'll have to shoot this feller if ya want me!” he backed away some more and the hostage struggled for realise, the rebel turned slightly trying to keep a hold of the man but this was enough, his arm was exposed and one of the soldiers shot him causing him to let go of his hostage, he clutched at his arm and looked up just in-time to the barrels of several guns being pointed in his direction.

***

“So what was it” Drabek drummed his fingers on the table, down in the street below, a gunfight raged.
“Someone tried to blow up the ministries”
“Oh, Catch them did they?”
“The rebel was stopped if that's what you mean”
“Damages?”
“Severe only to the first floor, second and third only in so far as bullet holes and furniture broken”
“Small mercy” He looked towards the window, though muffled by the fact the window was closed and them being on the third floor, the sounds of gunshots and shouting could still be heard
“I'll move to another office, one without windows”
“Yessir” Sheryl did not mention that all the windows were bullet-proof, he probably already knew that.

Entering Fictions Waters

With the permission being granted, the ships lurched forward. It was like a classic Roman army, only with ships instead of men. Large, dark gray ships. They swarmed into the port of Ibea before organizing onto the docks. Then, massive ramps erected onto the gates, followed by massive amounts of infantrymen, disassembled helicopters, Divine Tiger MHBTs, APCs, IFVs, the whole nine yards.

They quickly made their way towards each unit's designated assembly area. A single GWO Zeppelin flew overhead, containing the force's strategic commanders. While it was armed, it was not an attack vessel of any sort, just a mobile command center.

The first order? 1.5 million men to Majovul, two million to Espias, one million to Capital Aquaria, one million to Eris, and a million to Germuarur. The remaining million? Reserve and reinforcements.

With Majovul, the Marine Corps would be spearheading the attack; Marines would be flying through with BMW motorcyles with MG42-armed sidecars, APCs, IFVs, and Marine-equipped Divine Tigers, shortly after RAH-66 Commanches locate and destroy any present hostile AA systems. Their job would be to rip through the city and kill off most of the rebels, then the Army would come in and wipe out anything left.

In Capital Aquarua, the GWO forces would assemble in the Northern part of the city. Then, on a smaller scale, the Marines would do their rush through the south, followed by the Army and, hopefully, Fictions personnel.

In Espias, the GWO would be operating brutally. The Special Tactics Force Agents sent with the force would primarily be deployed there.

In the other cities where control was a "tennis match", the Army and the Federal Guard would be the main forces. The Federal Guard was internationally known for ripping the underground out of the ground, as well as locating secret societies and whatnot; rebellions were no different. And of course, the Army was skilled in defense and occupation. While the Marines would still be important for their offensive skills and equipment, they would be nowhere near as important as the Army in these cities.

Due to the recent social unrest in the Dictatorship of Fictions, the Holy Empire of Zaheran will deploy a small peace-keeping force to Fictions in order to help the national government regain control. Any attack upon this force or Zaheranian naval forces will be viewed as a declaration of war and responded to in kind.

City Germuarur

"Juan" leaned closer to the rebel and lowered his voice to a whisper.

"It seems the people finally has grown tired of Drabek's corrupt regime. The Revolution is coming. Drabek won't be able to resist the power of the people. This land will be free once more."

Capital Aquaria

The SSC soldiers had fought frenetically to keep the governmental districts free from rebels. Their efforts had been so far been sucessfull, not one rebel had got into the area around the governmental palace and the AMAPPMI building. The houses and apartment buildings on the boundary of the area controlled by the SSC had been transformed into bunkers, with machine gun positions and booby-traps, manned by black-clad soldiers with live ammunition in their assault rifles. All wore armbands in red and blue on their right arms to distinguish them as Zaheranians, now that secrecy had been dropped and GWO forces were approaching.

A Zaheranian flag was flying over the governmental palace, which had been made into the HQ. The colonel had taken over Drabek's old office. A camp-bed, found in ruins of an apartment complex, was standing in a corner of the room, for use by the colonel when he had time to sleep. But sleep had become an article in short supply lately, with constant attacks and counterattacks by insurgents and SSC soldiers. The killed-in-action, wounded-in-action and missing-in-action lists were slowly growing, with 20 soldiers killed, 45 wounded and 2 missing. The colonel suspected that two missing were dead, too, but the bodies had not yet been found, as a house had collapsed over their position.

At least the supply route was working. The air force was using the Airbus A200's that had brought them into the country to drop supplies over their positions. They had enough ammunition to keep the rebes away, and though the menu was dull, they had enough food and water to hold out for a long time, if the air force managed to keep the supply route open, that was. But that wouldn't be a major problem. Every plane was escorted by two or three fighters, and the anti-aircraft capacity of the rebels was limited, to say the least. And in one or two days the GWO forces would arrive. Then the counter-attack could begin.

Trivandrum, Southern India

An unpleasant smell of jet fuel filled the air around Trivandrum 1, one of the ten military airfields that surrounded the city that hosted the HQ of the Southern Air Command. The runways and hangars were filled with hundreds of aircraft, ranging from tankers and transports to fighter-bombers. They all belonged to the 5th Air Flotilla, which would provide transport and air support for the 40,000 men that would be sent to Fictions to combat the rebels. It was a giant operation and had taken time to organise, but now the first strike would come. 75 F-35's and 50 Eurofighters took off from the runways of Trivandrum 1, 2, 7 and 9, accompanied by five AWACS. Their destination was Espias, which would where the 23rd Panzergrenadiers would land. As both Gracia and Drabek where supposedly in the city, it was a priority target. In three hours, the rebels would learn to fear the Imperial Air Force.

"It's not going well, then, I take it?"

"With all due respect, Your Majesty, the situation has gone from under our control to downright horrible." Lord-General Militant Zyvan continued to speak, his charismatic voice echoing throughout the council chamber for all to hear.

"What's the gist of it?" Emperor Marcus Riektal asked.

"To start off, Your Majesty, civil order in the entire country has broken down into rioting and looting. Government forces and rebel sympathizers have been skirmishing all across the country. To top it all off, Ralkovia and The Grand World Order have taken the liberty of pouring fresh troops in support of the Fictions Government, in support of Zaheran's already declared support."

"We can't take on those three at the same time." The Emperor commented. "Their military budgets make us look like a bunch tree-hugging hippies." He wasn't just saying that either. He had seen the Ralkovian death machine first-hand, and the GWO's training methods had been recently implemented into the Imperial Guard, with fantastic results.

Angenteria was strong, but not THAT strong.

"What are your orders, Your Majesty?"

Marcus thought about it for a moment, considering his options. Their presence wasn't known yet, aside from the rebels and the Whiskeasians. Backing down meant dooming the rebellion's hopes of a new government. Being in power meant having to make some hard decisions, just like this one.

"We can't continue this juncture without risking open war." He began. "But we can't just abandon the rebels to their doom." Was he really willing to risk the entire Holy Imperium just for some resources? "The international community does not know of our presence there, and I intend to keep it that way. We'll do what we can, and deny any allegations of involvement."

"By your command."

"What do you think?" Sheryl read the note again, trying to guess what Drabek's reaction would be. He merely shrugged
"I think that if they were serious they would have done something by now. After all, do they really think that we would announce it to the world if we had taken any of their, or anyone else's for that matter, citizens?"
"Have we?" she bit her lip

Waters of Penguin Protection

The Fighter4u invasion fleet has arrived within Penguin Protection waters and their mere presence would be enough to scare the crap out of the walruses that roam the area.

1x Dreadnought
5x Battleships
8x Destoryers
7x Cruisers
2x Helicopter Carriers
12x Frigates
15x Landing Crafts(carrying 5 thousand mens each)
5x submarines

This was the first time Fighter4u would engage hostile targets in such a extreme environment but because of their great training and the specialtly of the men sailing in the LCs. They were used to Artic conditions and were outfited for it. Penguin Protection wasn't believed to have much of a armed force and satellies have already found the location of major cities or "bases".

Now already destoryers and helicopters have found minefields protecting the Penguin Protection and they fired high pressure rounds into the minefields, lanched ROVs and quite frankly just went around them. Penguin Protection minefields could not cover their traderoutes(least they starve themselfs to death) so the minefields weren't a problem.

Soon the ships reached the coast of Penguin Protection and helicopters lifted off and put down some 100 tanks and 10,000 men who duty was to guard the LCs until they reached shore and could offload their cargo. Mainwhile the destoryers and submarines and other helicopters were on guard from attacks below the sea. Penguin Protection was projection to fall within days. Already limit aircraft strikes(due to bad weather) were already striking Penguin Protection targets above ground like radar stations, military bases electricty power soruces and any penguins that dare look at a fighter plane the wrong way.

By the time the riot police arrived at the scene of perhaps the largest public riot yet it had already grown to a large extent, more than a thousand people were gathered in the square they were shouting and waving anti-government signs, breaking and setting slight cars and property. When they saw the riot police, they reacted in the only way they could in the heat of the moment. throwing rocks, Molotov cocktails and crude home-made pipe bombs at the approaching police, who despite being heavily outnumbered could not call for backup as their forces were stretched so much as it was with both the police and military being needed for similar protests breaking out all over the city. The Riot Police approached the protesters on all sides, a single line of police in full riot gear forcing the protesters back into a huddle by setting off tear gas. This mainly worked, but a few of the braver protesters rushed the riot police, many were shot and killed, but others managed to get out and once in open space fought back, citizens and the police fighting, casualties and fatalities on both sides and even though the Riot police were superior in weapons and armour the sheer fact the were outnumbered by so much meant they were receiving more casualties than would have been normally the case, the fighting continued for many hours and showed no signs of stopping any time soon.

C.Ibea

The government forces, aided some civilian vigilantes had just rounded up the last of the few remaining rebels forces acting within the city. The execution took place in the street, the unarmed rebels were lined up against a wall, the soldiers stood in a line in-front of them, aimed their weapons and fired. That was the end of the rebel forces in City Ibea, in this one city, the government had won. That is what they thought, from her window Janice saw the execution, and even, using her camera phone managed to snap a few pictures then sent them to everyone she could think of along with the message

Fictions is undergoing some strong political tensions, that is to say we are at the brink of civil war, with rioting and general chaos breaking out in every city, These “Unarmed civilians” were in-fact proven members of the terrorist organisation that has caused the current tensions. Terrorism carried the death penalty here and this execution was to serve as a warning to other terrorists that the terrorism will not be tolerated.

Sincerely,

Josef watched the recently video tapes on the television set in Gracia's Apartment, his face hardening at the prospect of what he saw. Things weren't looking good for the rebels, but things were already looking pretty bad since they got there.

"Forgive me for sounding cold, but this could work to our advantage." He commented. "By now, this tape has reached the international community, and the governments of the world will have heard of the people's plight. Especially..." he paused "Mine."

Gracia watched the videos in silence. When Josef spoke he looked away from the screen
“Do you think they will help? Seriously, would they risk it?” there was no emotion in his voice, he had reached the point where he could not afford to let himself feel any longer.

Drabek frowned, what had that Angenterain minister been talking about. Video?
“Sheryl...”
“Y-yessir?”
“Do you know anything about a video of the C.Ibea executions”
“Um....Yessir...I do...We tried t stop it but it went viral!”
Drabeks voice was full of ice “And what was in this video”
Soundlessly Sheryl showed him the video, when it was over Drabek was silent.
“The person who filmed it. What was it?”
“Were working on tracing it right away”
“When you find out. Have him or her executed”

Outside the small A.M.A.P.P.M.I. building
“Give up! We will win! You cannot stop the revolution! City Ibea may have fallen but we will not!” The man with the megaphone lit a Molotov cocktail ran towards the doors to the lobby and threw the bottle into the building. It hit the ground and shattered sending a huge fireball in the room. The security guards ran forward and grabbed the man forcing him to the ground, and, when he was down, shooting him in the head. the rest of the crowd stared yelling angry protests but The Guard had arrived from the higher levels of the building, and fired on the protesters, some of them had not come down but were firing from the windows. The people ran screaming trying to dodge the rain of bullets that came at them from all sides, some got away but most were killed.

***

The group was made up of Soldiers, Police, and Civilian vigilantes. Their aim was to flush out the group of rebels that they knew was in this building. This warehouse. This was where the rebels and their supporters were getting their weapons. It had previously been taken by the rebel forces and used as a make do armoury, providing terrorists with firearms, explosives and instuctions and materials for Molotovs and on how to make pipe bombs out of household items.

As they approached they saw three rebels with AK-47s standing guard. One of the soldiers radioed a sniper who they had positioned in one of the nearby apartment buildings. A few moments later one of the rebels dropped dead, the other two panicked and jumped out of the way but one by one they were both killed too.

The soldier in charge indicated to the group to follow, they made their way to the warehouse, when they were gathered around the door, one kicked it open and they went into the building and open fired on anyone present. For that was their orders. Leave no-one alive.

The rebels taken entirely by surprise tried without luck to fight back and the whole attack was over within five minutes, when every rebel was killed, they went through the building taking anything that could be of use and planing C4. When they were at a safe distance they detonated the explosives...

A knock on Janice's door made her start. She walked over and looked through the spy hole. Her eyes widened and she leaped back from the door hand to her heart staring at the door in shock. Should she run? Would she have time? Where would she go? The knock came again louder, she backed away down the hall. The door bust open and the Policemen stepped into the house, one of them pointed a gun at her. She dropped to her knees
“Please! Don't kill me! I haven't done anything” She begged tears steaming from her eyes, she knew why they were here, it was the video she had taken with her phone. The policeman continued to point the gun at her as the other hauled her to her feet and roughly turned her around to face the wall. The one holding the gun then fired, one shot to the back of her head.

The Agent in Fictions reported back. Kor glared around the conference table. "Killing civilians who are trying to spread the truth! Yet another outrage!" He turns to his aide. "Tell the sub fleet to target all A.M.A.P.P.M.I. buildings. Use cruise missiles. The extremely low altitude ones. And throw a few rail shells at government buildings."

Off the coast of fictions, there are multiple whooshes as cruise missiles exit the water, extend their wings, and scream toward the coast, barely 20 feet above the waves. They navigate the streets, pulling extremely high G turns, often scraping buildings, and heading toward their targets. Meanwhile, the LRS fires three Depleted Uranium tipped ferrite slugs. They scream upward , leaving trails of plasma in their wake, and gently arc toward various government buildings.

"A raid on Drabek right now is out of the question at this time. By now the foreign militaries have probably got him locked up tight." He said, disdain coming into his voice. "We need to rally your support in your end, and coordinate an effective resistance. Get people away from Drabek, make him vulnerable."

Josef chuckled. "I may not look Fictionian, but my money sure is. You'd be surprised how many low-level officials can so easily look the other way. And since the alternative isn't very pleasant, they don't really have much choice."

Josef stopped, noticing that the sounds outside had died down. He reached for his pistol.

"Is that, uhh, is that a good thing?"

IC: Seriously, would they risk it?

"Well" Josef thought for a moment "It wont be as simple as it would have been, say, a week ago. Our troops would have stormed the the Dictator's palace in no time, and taken Drabek in less then an hour. But we couldn't (and still can't) let our presence be known. That's why they sent me in the first place. It's not as easy anymore. We simply can't risk open war with both the Grand World Order AND Ralkovia at the same time. You can expect more weapons, and maybe a few more troops, but nothing along the lines of, say, a full expeditionary force."

"Get the stuff unloaded."

Lieutenant Julia Bennington ordered for her small crew to begin unloading the supplies. They had crept up to the shore of Fictions with a pair of boats, taking great care to avoid any naval patrols or foreign ships in the way. The boats were, of course, laden with weapons, ammunition, and supplies to keep the organized rebels, but of course were labeled as humanitarian aid for those hurt during the civil unrest, if the Government did catch them.

Julia thanked the First Emperor that they didn't. There wasn't a ship in sight.

Her people quietly unloaded the crates from the boats, as the rebel contact was spotted coming along the road to meet them.

"Is that them?" A soldier behind Julia asked.

"I hope so." She responded, pulling the hood of her camo cloak over her head. All those present for this mission wore such a cloak, as so appear less like military targets, but were still armed and trained as well as any Guardsmen the Holy Imperium had to offer. "Be ready, just in case. Station hidden people around the perimeter. If they try anything, we'll take them down."

"Yes, ma'am." The soldier ran off to convey her orders. In the distance, the contact drew closer...

It was a farce, of course, as a small bug hidden in a false teeth was sending the whole conversation to a reciever in a building in the Zaheranian zone of CA Aquaria, from where it was forwarded to the 'fishing trawler' operating off the coast, ultimately reaching the CID operators in the Rautler Building in Zaheran.

Over Fictions

The planes approached their target on a low altitude, sweeping over the landscape at a speed of over 1 Mach. The stealth technology used in the aircraft made them extremely difficult to locate on radar. The mission commanders hoped that this would help them to stay undetected until the moment when the missiles were fired and the bombs dropped. Their target, the southern parts of City Espias, was coming closer and closer.

Half an hour later, the squadron roared in over the city. The northern parts were completely ignored, as they were under government control. The southern parts, on the other hand, recieved a harsh treatment. Bombs rained at anything that looked even vaguely hostile. Large crowds of suspected rebel supporters were engaged with bombs that had been modified to carry tear gas. Buildings that looked like they were being used by 'regular' rebel forces recieved a shipment of small but highly explosive guided bombs or a missile or two. The aircraft then turned back, racing for the coast, and eventually, India.

Strategic Command Early Warning Center, India

The personnel at the Centre were perplexed. This was the second missile launch off the Fictional coast in just a few days. But there was no time for reflextion. With warnings sirens shrieking and red lights twinkling, they carried out their duties. Although the low altidute of the missiles made them hard to track, it was clear that they were headed for targets inside several cities, probably government buildings and military installations. A warning was sent to the force in Aquaria, which was quick to evacuate their makeshift headquarters, taking no risks after the last time. No one knew exactly where Drabek was hiding, so a message was sent to all AMAPPMI buildings the Centre could find.

"Yes, ma'am." The soldier ran off to convey her orders. In the distance, the contact drew closer...

The contact, because that is indeed who they were, edged slightly closer, slightly nervously, soon they were close enough to make put features, it was a young man, about twenty or so, he glanced at the crates then at the Angernterians, he stood a few feet away from them, as though waiting for them to make the first move.

“Sir!” Sheryl ran into the office, stopping briefly to catch her breath
“Gods, woman, what happened?”
“A-another missile....Heading our way...We have to leave....Building being evacuated”
“What!? Another one!?”
“Yessir”
Drabek stood up, angry, it was as though all they seemed to be doing was dodging missiles! As they left the office they were joined by Drabek's guard, most of the people in the building were leaving via the front exit, they left through a more secure back exit, they would be staying in a secure, unobtrusive location that they knew about.

They had only managed to make it out of range to safety when the missile struck the building. Drabek watched the impact. reflecting that this was the third time he had narrowly avoided being blown up.
“Who keeps sending those goddamned missiles!”
“I don't know sir. But sir, we have to get going, We shouldn't stay out in the streets”

“I understand... No-one want's war, especially not with such powerful nations...” But isn't that what he had done? Unintentionally, but those forces were on their way. He had not even dreamed or expected so many nations to get involved in this. He should have thought about the possibility of anti-democratic nations taking an interest. There was nothing for him to do but keep fighting.

He heard some explosions in the distance and ran to the window
“Oh Shit! Air-strike!” He jumped back away from the window as a bomb hit the building opposite theirs.

(OOC: I'm not going to mention all, just a few so as to get the gist of what has happened because of the missile strikes)

The A.M.A.P.P.M.I. buildings in all eight other cities got the message from CA Aquaria about the missile strike....

City Norata

This city has been under total government control for quite some time now, and things were just starting to settle back to the way things were before the fiasco. Yes they were still on high alert, but some semblance of sanity had returned. When the message about the impending attack came the building reacted quickly and was completely evacuated before the missile struck...

***

City Ibea

Just when the city thought it was under control the message arrived, the panicked workers tried to organise an evacuation. Each floor was being evacuated one by one, ground floor, first floor, second floor but that is as far as it went. The The missile impacted the side of the building taking out the entire top floors and doing considerable damage to the bottom ones and some of the surrounding buildings. Those who managed to leave the building and had got to a safe distance watched the impact in horror.

***

City Utand

The C.Utand A.M.A.P.P.M.I. building was the second largest one in the country. It was already at a standstill as it had been targeted previously by terrorists who had damaged the power beyond repair and was now being used as a make do headquarters by military and vigilantes who were fighting the rebels here. Unfortunately because of the lack of power in the building, they never got the message...

***

City Majovul

This city was mainly dominated by the rebels, The A.M.A.P.P.M.I. building was the over-stretched military's last standing point against the rebels. The building was under attack by a particularly violent group of rebel sympathisers who were throwing everything they had at the people inside the building when they received the message. They could not escape, outside things were getting even worse Bombs wet off every few seconds and bullets were being fired at every window they could, they tried tear gassing and flash bang grenades to clear the crowd so they could escape the incoming missile but they did not mange soon enough. Though some of the rebels were also killed in the explosion, that was nothing compared to the government. The last of the government military in C.Majovul had been eliminated. City Majovul was under complete Rebel control

"Sir: The strikes were a success." "Roger that. Target anti-air defences in City Ibea." Several more missiles streak from the waters, and a flight of ACGSCs (Advanced Close Ground Support Craft, basically a PP version of an A10 Warthog) lift off from the Leviathan. They scream across the water, 100 feet up. Pulling up above the city, they form into an arrowhead formation, and streak down Main Street. A salvo of missiles is released, which target billboards. Coming around for another pass, the lead craft opens fire with its 30mm cannon, firing at the median down the street. They streak off in the direction they came.

Ships headed southward, going to land on the North Antarctic Ice Sheet. Since Penguin protection derived no military spending from tax dollars, and had little to export besides minerals and whale products, they figured the invasion would be swift and easy. With conditions that would destroy any vehicle and negligible water resources, the infantrymen brought no vehicles or artillery along, and expected to face none. An invasion of Antarctica would be chilly and swift.

It was winter in Antarctica, and as such there were large ice shelves. Pinguinistan, the Capital city, was on the actual coast. Ice extended away in all directions. There is a very deep boom, followed by a sustained cracking and a geyser of water shooting up through the ice. Explosive charges detonate below the ice, shattering it into pieces. A row of explosions runs off into the distance, cutting the invaded area off from the rest of the land. The ice cracks, and falls apart.

The other soldier sat up, and struggled back to his feet. "I think I broke something, sir."

Josef nodded, yanking Gracia back up from the ground. Checking him for wounds quickly, he deduced that he was well enough to keep moving.

"We can't stay here any longer." He replied. "The only thing following air strikes is a full ground assault. How far is the nearest rebel-controlled city?"

Nearing the North Antarctic Ice Sheet

EC troops were saddened by the losses the nation of Fighter 4u could be taking, but they saw something good. They could easily rescue the soldiers on the ice blocks shifting out to sea, and they would also have sea lanes cleared to make a direct attack on the coast. This way, the destroyers could easily move in and destroy whatever the Penguin capital consisted of. The Penguins had easily spent a large fraction of their defense budget on those mines, and no anti-ship missiles were expected to go the way of the EC soldiers. However, they could expect a hotwizer or two on land. EC frigates moved out to rescue whatever Fighter4u soldiers they could facilitate on their ships. They expected this could be 50 per ship, and the transport barges could take many more than that.

GWO forces were arriving at the edges of the area of the city held by rebels. Hordes of Marine vehicles essentially flew forward towards the Rebel half of the city; Air Force planes flew low overhead, with aircraft coming in from GWO provinces; mainly, these extra planes were B1-B Lancers and an occasional B-2 Spirit. The bulk of the air armada were strike fighters like the F-35, which would be used to take out large amounts of anti-aircraft guns. Marine RAH-66s were flying overhead, looking for targets for the swarms of AH-64 Apaches; and during this, the Marines were cruising forward in motorcycles and APCs, essentially hiding behind Divine Tiger MHBTs. Just like the Germans of World War Two, the Marines charged onto the main streets of Rebel-Held Espias. The infantry had not yet dismounted...

Trivandrum, India

The ground trembled under the steady march of thousands of soldiers and rolling vehicles. Engines roared as the giant transport aircraft that would take the 23rd Panzergrenadiers to Fictions began to taxi to the runways, filled with soldiers and vehicles. One after one thet began to ascend into the air like gigantic, clumsy birds. They were accompanied by a massive escort of fighter and attack aircraft, and even more would join them as they passed over the carrier groups. On the ground, large crowds roared out their pride as the masses of airplanes flew past, heading for a country few Zaheranians had heard about before. An entire division, twenty thousand of the country's best young men, would fight and bleed on another nation's soil, to stop the forces of hypocricy and anarchy from taking over yet another nation, another people. And more would follow. As soon as the first airlift was finished, the 57th Panzergrenadiers would be transported to Fictions, given the hard task of retaking City Majovul from the rebels. But no one in the crowd had any doubts that they would ultimately succeed.

The soldiers onboard the aircraft, on the other hand, took things a little more pragmatically. After all, they would just be doing their jobs. Some of them would die, that was clear, but that did not bother them in any high degree. Dying was a risk you had to take in their job, and one did not exactly become a soldier to sit at a desk. The atmosphere was quite relaxed. The men played cards or talked casually about the upcoming mission. The officers gathered in groups and discussed tactics and battle plans. In five hours they would reach their target, the southern parts of Espias. A large GWO force had entered the city too, the latest reports had said, so the fighting would probably not be that fierce. The cleaning up, on the other hand, would probably be quite awful, if the rumours they had heard about GWO was true.

Gracia's words were promptly cut off by the sounds of gunfire and explosions in the distance, echoing around the buildings of the city. At once, Josef knew the main assault had begun, and it would not end well for the rebels.

There was no more discussion. They had to leave the city. Now.

"It doesn't matter anymore, anywhere is safer then here!" Josef shouted over the approaching gunfire. He tapped into his comm-bead, which he wore around his head. "Everyone, to me. We're leaving the city."

At once, a larger group of Angenterians (about 27 men) emerged from surrounding buildings, joining their leader. Like the Major, they were all wearing civilian clothing, but retained their weapons. Some carried small anti-tank weapons, and some carried squad support weaponry.

Josef reached into his jacket, and pulled out his pistol. "Form up!" He shouted "Protect Gracia as if he was the Emperor Himself!" His people complied, forming a perfect tactical formation around Gracia and the major that would make any Imperial Guard drill instructor swell with pride. If anything, the Angenterians would last longer then the untrained rebels.

Yanking Gracia by his collar, they began to move towards the outskirts of the city, hoping to escape.

As the convey of men, tanks and supply veichles slowly snaked towarded the Penguin Captial. They slowly spreaded out so not to make themself easy prey to any enemy fire. In other words they followed standard combat guild lines.
After all most of the force wasn't here to fight, but simply to occupy the captial once it was entered. They could never had believed that Penguin Protection would have enough TNT to blown literally milies of permafrost and ice. But that thought never entered the minds of thousands of poor souls who simply disappear on the open ice. Those not killed by the resulting blasts, slipped to a icey death by either falling to their death, being crushed by the tons of ice falling on them or just from the head truma of falling hundreds of feets into the ocean & ice below.

Yet strangely enough Fighter4u had not been shocked that Penguin Protection would do such a thing. In fact it has even been expected. Which is why the Fighter4u Navy was quick to sent it helicopters and ships to rescue the stranded men trapped on the now floatling ice island. Out of 85 thousand men, only 35 000 men were rescued in a massive airlift. As many men were killed as the icey island simply collapsed onto itself. But thanks to the quick reaction of the East Congaree naval forces, the number of dead or MIA was alot lower then it should had been.

Fighter4u 1 & 2 Artic Units and their many Extereme Weather Units has just had their first taste of action. Those who were wounded or suffering from the effects of the cold were quickly airlifted out onto the main ships. The operation so far had been a disaster. Yet strangely enough the 18 000 foot infantymen still able to fight were bruise but not broken. It was time to gain revenge for the loss of their brothers in arms.

Now Fighter4u would back up their allies the East Congaree with heavy firepower. They poured literally thousands of rounds per minute into the Penguin Protection capital at point blank range. And they were not in a mood to worry about civilians caught in the fire. And when the recent weather finally cleared up. 35 thousand angry men were going to storm the captial from the air.

[B]"It is never to late, Eleanor. You, no, we, can still win this fight. And if we die in the process, then we have at least died trying to do something good. I and my friends have fought all our lives against the slaves of fascism. I can't recall all the time we have despaired, all the times we have been sure we would die. And yet I stand here, ready to fight again. Give me this chance, Eleanor. Take me to Gracia, and let us fight by your side, let us show the oppressed slaves of fascist countries everywhere that there is hope, that one can fight against the oppressors. The gunfire continued, getting constantly louder, occasionally it was punctuated by an explosion. Gracia found himself running to keep up with the pace they were leaving, if he showed any sign of falling behind, some would, impatiently, make him keep up. He had made a narrow escape once. Colonel Brandon Okame was at the helm of a Divine Tiger; normally, he was fitted to be in an HPACV, but there was nothing slower in the arsenals of the Order than an HPACV.

Like the other tank commanders, Okame was sitting in a specially crafted turret; a "castle shield", so to speak. The only opening resembled an asterisk, so as to permit the commanders to shoot without exposing themselves as much. The Colonel wouldn't be in the front echelon of the Marines (Which was comprised mainly of Airborne "Fallschirmjaeger" battalions and S.T.F. Agents), of course, considering he was a high-risk target.

The tank charges were brutal; loudspeakers attached to company command tanks were screaming GWO propaganda and orders of martial law; helicopter engines screamed overhead, searching for collections of anything that could possibly be related to the rebels. In one of them, a 12.7mmx99mm (.50 BMG) had torn through the co-pilot's chest before shredding the pilot's head. The helicopter was then hit by some sort of explosive device; the makings of the weapon didn't matter, the helicopter exploded instantly. A piece of shrapnel clunked against the top of Okame's tank before he muttered various obscenities to himself. Okame was famous in the GWO military for his short temper and close relationship with Marshal T. "Tootall" Briggs (Which was another subject of discussion; Okame is only 5'2", whereas Briggs is 7'5").

In certain areas, Marine infantry had dismounted their IFVs and APCs, sometimes with S.T.F. Agents knitted in with them to provide a bit of a "Saw-tooth pattern" to their offensive. Of course, the BMW motorcycles still remained to provide some sort of modern cavalry aspect to the urban warfighting.

Somewhere in Espias

"There's some bastids! Let's get 'em!" shouted Marine Private Michaelson, a Uranium Province resident. "I think they see us, maybe not; they're armed, one with explosives! Bail out! Bail out!" retorted a random voice amongst the commotion of the vehicle. Quickly, the rear door dropped as the vehicle was still in motion, and the Marines piled out without the vehicle stopping. There were two Strykers following close behind, coupled with a Puma IFV and three BMW motorcycles. Seeing as the lead APC had released their "cargo", more Marines and an Element (7 men) of S.T.F. Agents disembarked. The troops opened fire almost instantaneously, following a Marine Lieutenant (Which was noticeable; anyone who knew much about the GWO military knew that all officers wore trench coats, while the enlisted personnel wore US-style field jackets). The Lieutenant was armed with an F.S.I.A.A.S. automatic combat shotgun; since he figured these people didn't wear body armor (Of course, there was always a chance of the contrary), his current magazine was filled with Buckshot.

"Let's land these fuckers." the Lieutenant Colonel leading a transport Barge commented. That, they would do after eight MiG-29s each Virkamaditya Class Aircraft Carrier with two 250lb. bombs that they planned to drop on power facilities in the capital of Penguin Protection. After that happened, 5,000 marines would spearhead the invasion of Penguin Protection.

IC: The opening gunshots tore into the Angenterian troops, and two men went down, blood spurting from their wounds.

"Crap, they've spotted us!" Josef yelled over the sounds of the gunshots. He grabbed Gracia (OOC: lol, I've been grabbing and trowing him around the entire time) and pushed the rebel leader behind him "RETURN FIRE!!"

The Angenterian stormtroopers responded almost instantly, taking cover and and returning fire with a quickness only a well-trained soldier knew how. Taking cover behind an alley, Josef quickly noticed they were soldiers of the Grand World Order, easily distinguishable their black masks and trench-coated officers. They weren't anything to shake a fist at. Besides, their snipers would probably just blow your arm off.

"TAKE OUT THOSE IFV'S!" Josef shouted into his comm-bead. Taking a smoke grenade out of his pocket, he threw it down the street, smoke filling the area. In the cover of the smoke, a stormtrooper ran out of cover holding an anti-tank weapon, firing a missile in the direction of the Puma. Another soldier with a similar weapon fired as well, aiming at one of the Strykers.

It didn't matter whether they hit it or not. The Angenterian soldiers started to pull pack, the rear falling back down the street, and those in the front providing cover, then the rear would return the favor, allowing the front to catch up.

When Penguin Protection attempted to pull back their civilians through the old mining tunnels they found their retreat blocked by miles of rubble as thermal picked up the begining of a massive evacuated through tunnels as expected. That was why Fighter4u lanched hundreds of bunker bombs and missiles desgined simply to destroy underground targets. The other remaining fighter4u forces were ringing the enemy city to prevent escape by civilians.

The nation of Penguin Protection had little to offer Fighter4u in terms of natural resorces. Fighter4u simply wanted to knock them out of the war,use the invasion as a warning to Whiskeasy and prehaps gain land for weapon testing, rearch bases and a military base/port or two. If Penguin Protection government started thinking of peace. Then favorable terms could possibly be reached to save Penguin Protection from being compelety destroyed.

(OOC: I think Gracia is stunned O_o)

Gracia was in a stunned state which is why the Angenterians kept having to push him around. Amongst all the firing he felt useless, he should be doing something but he was afraid of getting in anyone's way, and still the Angenterians kept pushing back, retreating and the Grand World Order troops kept up their relentless assault. “No, no, no I'm not government!” he backed away slightly eyes fixed on the pistol. Maybe she would shoot him anyway, and this was all a sham, something planned by the government to trick them... In the current state, he found it increasingly difficult to trust anyone.

The Army had begun their part in the offensive; this was sounded by a terrifying, echoing recording of Die Fahne Hoch. While it was the national anthem of Nazi Germany, it was officially considered one of the GWO's "Patriotic Musical Pieces". The speakers playing the song echoed through the streets like an air raid siren...

Somewhere in Espias

The accuracy of the returning fire had caught the GWO troops off guard; one of the bullets panged off of an S.T.F. Agent's Stahlhelm, hitting at an angle to be deflected. The troops went prone or crouched instantly; three of them permanently. One of the Marines had a GWO Flammenwerfer, which was only visible to those looking for a flamethrower. A stream of fire was vomited from the tip of his weapon shortly before the smoke grenade was let off.

When the grenade did go off, the GWO troops were still able to see them; their AGMOED systems (Gas masks) were equipped with thermal imaging (See my factbook for details). One of the anti-tank devices slammed into the Puma, expelling shrapnel across the street. The motorcycle troops pulled forward swiftly, with MG42 fire ejaculating a stream of burning hot lead. Meanwhile, the troops were moving forward, still firing their weapons while moving. Lieutenant Hawker, the one in charge of this group, was firing his FSIAAS from the hip. He ducked behind a concrete low-wall before telling the helicopters that they had come across some resistance, and that they wouldn't mind some danger-close helicopter support. Minutes later, a Black Hawk would be flying overhead; while it wasn't outfitted for heavy support (It only had a GI-MG33 machine gun on board), there were soldiers aiming their rifles out of the cabin, and they had every ability to fastrope out.

Eight MiG-29s peeled off the decks of both carriers, making a total of 16 MiG-29s fly towards the capital. They planned to destroy the city's survival for good by bombing the power facilities. The East Congaree government already had a peace offer ready for the people of Penguin Protection, and would bring it up just as the city suffered its first pounding. Meanwhile, the transport barge full of 5,000 marines continued to be escorted to the shore by 15 Jianghu-I class frigates.

Julia grinned again as she holstered the pistol. "Stop worrying, I'm not going to shoot you." She said. "We're all on the same side here. We want Drabek gone just as much as you do."

She was approached by one of the stormtroopers.

"Ma'am." He said, saluting "we have loaded the cargo onto their transport as ordered."

"Excellent. Prepare to move out."

"Yes, ma'am." The stormtrooper replied, before marching off to relay her orders. Before the rebel had time to ask, Julia explained.

"Didn't they tell you anything? We're coming with you."

Somewhere in Espias

Josef cursed as bullets ripped through the smoke, cutting down the man who held the rocket launcher, and two others nearby. A gout of flame burned another, and the man's screaming could be heard by all as he squirmed around in vain to put the flames out. The other anti-tank trooper was quick enough to dive back into cover, but had to hand his weapon off to another stormtrooper, as blood oozed from a wound in his arm. Apparently, they could still see them. They had to get out of there quickly. Reinforcements would most definitely on their way, as well as air support in the form of nasty helicopters. If the Angenterians got caught up in that, they would be in deep trouble.

Josef quickly realized that his retreat was not doing anything, as the GWO troops would simply advance down the street after them. He had initially thought that the destruction of their vehicles and suppression fire would keep the GWO troops pinned long enough for them to retreat successfully, but that did not seem so. A change in plans was necessary.

And that damnable music! How could the GWO troops listen to it and NOT be annoyed?

Josef quickly ordered his troops to suppress the GWO troops long enough for them to escape. Support gunners opened fire, full spread, at the oncoming enemies. Grenades flew at them from alleyways and from behind cover, and automatic fire aimed at their officers (who were easily visible due to their long, black coats, directing their troops with extravagant gestures of the hand) flew towards their targets. In the rear, about 19 troopers, including Gracia and Major Josef retreated even further, their eyes up, watching for any signs of helicopters and snipers.

One other note, the government is working with civilian vigilantes to capture the rebels in the north part, government supporters are all told to wear a specific item, in this case an orange armband (may differ from city to city) so they would not accidentally get mistaken for a rebel. This fact is not known to the rebels as it is kept hushed and they would only find out after an encounter, but after that point it would be too late)

The music blared through the streets, and while most people would not understand it's words, they would understand it's meaning. To them it meant the end, the enemy had come and there was no escape, but that did not stop them trying. Trying to avoid where they thought the GWO, although most did not know this, Troops were and escaping either out of the city or to the relatively safer, government owned, northern section of the city. Most failed and were caught and killed, those who succeeded and made it into the Northern part were captured either by government forces or civilian vigilantes, sometimes it was hard to tell which was worse, the government or the citizens who supported them.

The agent pretended to think for a moment.

"Hmm. Majovul is the closest, so I suggest we'll try that first. If he isn't there, we'll continue to Espias. Gather your things. We should leave at once. I have a rented car parked a few blocks away from here."

City Espias

The planes roared in over the city, filled with Zaheranian soldiers. An airfield suitable for the gigantic aircraft had been found in the northern, government-controlled parts, and that was where they were destined. One after one they touched down, unloaded their cargo and took off again, evrything in less than ten minutes. The operation planning had worked perfectly, as soon as a plan took off another landed. Men began to mount their vehicles and ready their weapons, and within an hour an armoured column had started to roll against the city. It was not going into the city proper, instead it would do an advance along the westerns suburbs, to cut off fleeing rebels from escaping. The rebels would then, trapped between the hammer and the anvil, have no other options but to give up or die.

To ensure that the rebels would not escape before the Zaheranian forces were in position, the escorting fighters and attack aircraft began to do strafing runs against the designated area, sweeping over the ground with their machine guns and dropping cluster bombs at retreating rebels.

The Pacific Ocean

The news of the fall of Majovul had quickly reached Zaheran. As Zaheranian forces soon would attack the rebel-controlled city, its defences had to be weakened. The two submarines that had carried out the cruise missile attack on the rebel base had quickly been refitted with new missiles and sent out on a new mission, their number strengthened with two more of their kind. And this time, they wouldn't use only a part of their arsenal. The four vessels had taken positions roughly 2,200 km away from their target, on a different place this time. With twelve missiles per submarine, a total of 48 missiles would be fired at the city, a severe warning to the rebels that their fight, ultimately, would be in vain.

At a given signal from the lead vessel, the submarines began to fire. Missile after missile leaved the launch tubes and broke the surface, beginning their journey towards their distant goal. Within ten minutes, the launchers had been emptied and the submarines began to head back towards their homeports.

Two more GWO troops went down, and Hawker had caught a few bullets in his vest. He sat himself down against a building, blood spilling out of one of the holes (The other rounds were stopped by his armor). As the rebels ran, two S.T.F. Snipers shouldered their L-150 .50 BMG sniper rifles. In seconds, they were peering down the digital MNB-4 scopes sitting on their rifles, which were calculating distance and other important factors into the placement of the digital reticules over a thermal background. They painted the reticules over the thermal signatures suppressing them, while the motorcycles sped forward to give chase. The remaining GWO machine gunner placed his FHASAW 12.7mm LHMG on the ground, using the bipod to keep it steady while he launched a slew of those large rounds down the street while shouting "MAGGOTS!". Some of the remaining troops were singing along with the music, their digitized voices almost in harmony...

Above, the UH-64 was flying onto the scene. It had a speaker as well, adding to the volume of the music. It circled above like a hawk, looking for the targets; spotting a specific group of individuals was difficult when there were that many people on the ground, and you weren't able to zoom in with a camera...

The rebels who were surrendering were being picked up by Federal Guard and Army vehicles, shortly before being transported out of the combat zone.

Each POW was asked a simple question: "Are you willing to feed us information and fully cooperate with the government of Fictions and the Fascist Federation?"

Those who said yes were to be transported to basic military prisons, and maybe one day granted citizenship; the ones who said no were to be sent to "Hell Camps".

Hell Camps were essentially a set of four walls with a few buildings for the guards; the prisoners would be left in a field of mud with no shelter; food would come in the form of the shredded bodies of uncooperative officers. Of course, an office was bordering the yard where they could tell the guards that they had decided to cooperate. Then the guards would remove them from the camps and put them in normal prisons...

His stormtroopers obeyed, a small group remaining for a few moments to give off the impression that they were not retreating, while the others began to cut through buildings and alleys, hoping to escape the GWO onslaught.

It was a plastic bag from a grocery store, but its contents were not innocent foodstuffs. It contained a disassembled PM-84 Glauberyt submachine gun, a Ruger semi-automatic pistol in a similar state and three grenades. The agent smiled and gestured to the rebel to get into the car.

"Excellent. My contact hasn't let me down. Now I feel a lot more secure."

The armoured column was racing through the western suburbs, trying to cut off the rebels' retreat. So far no resistance had been encountered, but they could hear gunfire and explosions in the distance, where the main battle was raging. Loudspeakers on the vehicles told everyone to stay inside until the area had been secured. Zaheranian flags were flying over the vehicles or painted on their sides to ensure they were not engaged by GWO forces by mistake.

Another armoured column was advancing to the west, to cut off the peninsula where Espias was located from the mainland, so that rebels that managed to escape both the GWO forces and the first Zaheranian column would be able to flee that way. Roadblocks were established on all major roads, where stern soldiers with cold eyes controlled ID's and searched everyone who passed through for weapons. Quickly, those that survived the hail of bullets long enough to make it behind the APCs began requesting helicopter assistance. Two of the soldiers had Mikor MGLs. They put their weapons around the corners of their cover, exposing their arms. A volley of grenade shells ranging from average explosive shells to hydrogen cyanide gas shells were being fired at the windows. This was supported by random sprays of bullets coming from the troops outfitted with MI-8A2 rifles.

The first explosives grenades went off and those at the windows were killed in the explosion, those who survived that were taken down by the bullets. Those who were further in the room and were not hit by those were however affected by the colourless gas, which filled the room, easily surpassing the lethal concentration killing them within minutes. Only one survived, this was done by fleeing the room the moment the first explosion went off, he ran down the stairs, but reaching the bottom hesitated, if he was to go out there he would meet a group of very angry soldiers who would kill him on sight, or worse...

A team of soldiers progressed into the building. The light from their gas masks (They didn't have their dimmers on) colored some of the thick dust in the air light green; it would easily terrify even some of the most disciplined troops.

A few radio messages echoed from their radio, along with the now semi-faint loudspeakers. Slowly they advanced, looking through the walls with their thermal imaging ((That's really getting overused now, lul)). One person was all they saw, along with diminishing thermal signals above. A fire team got ready to rush into the room, lining up. Seconds later, they were rushing full-speed into the room, rifles at the ready.

The rebel did not resist as the soldiers carried him back, though he had been seen by a medic he was still in pain and was certain that he was going to get killed. They probably only wanted him alive so they could get information out of him, then they would kill him. He thought this, because that is what his own government would do, he did not think any of their supporters would be any different.

Juán cursed silently and turned the car onto a smaller road, hoping to get round the riot. Without taking his eyes from the road, he raised his voice to be heard over the explosions and general chaos.

"Do you know how to get out of here? I don't know if I can find my way out of the city on my own, not with all these riots going on."

West Coast of Fictions, outside City Eris

A gigantic armada was approaching the coastal city. Scores upon scores of ships filled the bay as the 3rd Fleet, strengthened by Admiral Wahnschaffe's carrier group, rode through the waves. With four carriers, eight cruisers and a large number of other ships, it was an incredible, and intimidating, sight. On the deck of his flagship HMS Impervious, admiral Till Meyerhof studied the distant city through his binoculars, with a cruel smile on his lips. He had no doubt that the people had noticed them by now, ands were wondering what they were planning to do. The rebels were probably shaking with fear, just as they should be. Time to deliver his message. He raised his arm. From each of the carriers, a lone airplane took off, heading for the city.

The planes roared in over the city on a low altitude, as though they were on a bombing mission. They were, in a way, although the munitions they would deliver were not of the usual kind. Flying over specially selected city parts, thought to be held by the rebels, they began to drop the cargo. Large radios began to rain over the city, their fall slowed down by parachutes. As they landed on streets, rooftops and markets, they began to transmit the same message in Fictin.

"Attention rebels! This is your first and only warning. Lay down your weapons and surrender yourselves to your legitimate government. I repeat, you have two hours to surrender to your legitimate government. All city parts still resisting after two hours will be levelled to the ground, I repeat, levelled to the ground. No one who surrenders will be harmed, but everyone who resists their legitimate government will be killed without mercy."

"Do you know how to get out of here? I don't know if I can find my way out of the city on my own, not with all these riots going on."

She glanced back at the main road as the went down the slightly quieter side street
“If we keep to small streets and keep heading that way” She pointed straight ahead “We should eventually rejoin the intercity and can then leave the city, if there are no riots, if there are, we may have to leave the car...” The idea of going all the way to City Majovul on foot was unthinkable, so she hoped that the road joining the intercity was clear and riot free.

The Radios rained down on City Espias, Its message broadcasted to everyone, those who had seen the fleet off the coast knew that these people were serious, as did those who had seen the Zaheranian and Grand World Order (For those who did not know about these places, they were all one to them) troops also knew that they were serious. There was only one thing for them to do, and that was surrender. Not all saw this logic, though most did, those who did not took to the streets, proclaiming loudly and destructively that they would not give in to threats.

He did as she said, steering down the side street. He hoped that the riot police was to busy with the riots to stop and search cars. The arsenal under the driver seat would be a little hard to explain. Well, he had carte blanche to use whatever force he deemed necessary to achieve his objective, and if that meant killing a few policemen, then so be it. His mission was far too important for him to have any moral issues.

City Eris

The Zaheranians waited patiently for two hours. Regular overflights by the fleet's aircraft kept them updated on which city sections were controlled by the government and in which there were still active rebels and riots. Exactly two hours after the warning had been broadcasted, fifty F/A-18 Super Hornets took off from the decks of the carriers. As large, threatening birds of prey they flew in over the city. The city sections that had surrendered or were under government control were spared completely. Not one bomb, not one missile, fell on a place where the rebels had surrendered. The places where the resistance continued, on the other hand, were shown no mercy. Bombs and missiles started falling on the protesting crowds, explosions and shrapnel shredding bodies to pieces. Some of the bombs contained napalm, which would stick to its unfortunate victims' skin like a burning glue, causing severe burns.

Buildings suspected of being rebel headquarters were given even more attention. Guided bombs and missiles were used with astounding precision, with some skilled pilots even being able to to throw them in through the windows. Strict orders had been given to avoid hospitals and schools, so areas around such buildings were often left relatively intact. Important infrastructure, such as power plants, sewage treatment works and bridges were also left alone, as the Zaheranians did not intend to make any lasting damage to the city.

Almost as though in answer to his thought Eleanor glanced at the real view mirror, but there was no-one following them, the road was clear and they were leaving the riot behind them. They continued in silence for another few minutes, she occasionally said to turn left or right, and soon they reached the road that, one leaving the city, would be called the Intercity, and would lead east to City Majovul.

City Espias

The last of the civilian/rebel resistance, save Gracia and the Angenterians, had either surrendered or been killed, those who had surrendered were in custody and held to the mercy of the Government and it's supporters. What would happen to them was slightly unsure at this point but one thing was sure. City Espias was now government territory, and almost (I have to wait for Angenteria) rebel free.

***

City Eris

The rain of bombs on the rebels and their supporters had a devastating effect, on both the loss of lives and their moral, more and more were surrendering. What made matters worse was the news of the fall of C.Espias, which once having reached a city spread fast as always. And those in C.Eris who heard it believed it, the same thing was happening here. The news also spread to the other cities, breaking their hope too, causing more and more to surrender for fear that they would be next, even some of the people in the rebel controlled City Majovul were leaving and turning themselves in. Slowly the government was regaining control.

“Sir?”

Two fleets of ships headed from Port Lethandur, Buddha C to the island nation of Fictions. The red and white flag of the Cnian flew high on the masts of the battleships, carriers, cruisers, destroyers, submarines and the plethora of supply ships following the two massive battle fleets, each with the Royal Cnian Marine cargo of five hundred thousand troops. The first group would land in South Fictions, the second to East Fictions, they would deploy to back the government of the nation, and crush the Communist threat, using brutal force that will probably involve the death of thousand of civilians.

Meanwhile from Port Chang another battle fleet was heading towards the nation of Whiskeasy, under the command of a GWO Naval Commander, as yet to be named by the GWO military. The Cnian Naval Infantry, numbering two million troops in this fleet would be the spearhead of the assault, another two fleets were being prepared and loaded up with men and ammunition for both the troops and the steal cruisers that would carry them to the next theatre of combat, but these troops were the Royal Cnian Marines, and they numbered almost the entirety of the Corps, a staggering sixteen million troops would be shipped. These were not the cannon fodder of lesser nations, these troops were trained and equipped for a slow attrition based warfare, but with the addition of extreme beach landing training. Their specialty was to take the beaches of the enemy, set up a massive defensive perimeter with a small amount of troops per sector, and hold out against a massive amount of less trained troops with armor support, and the occasional artillery and aircraft strike.

When Santo Miles was captured by the Grand World Order troops he was one of those who refused to co-operate with foreign government and so he was handed over to Fictions government. Now he sat, unrestrained in a room in a building being used as a makeshift prison opposite him was a member of the Guard who was acting interrogator, at the door were two armed soldiers and he kept glancing nervously at them.
“Now, Miles, that was your name?”
He nodded and glanced again at the soldiers.
“Now, I been asked to ask you if you have any information you would like to share?”
Miles stared at the man, he knew it was not really a question but he did not speak, part of him wondered what would have happened had he chose to stay with the foreigners.
“All right, How about a specific question. I know you are a rebel not just a citizen taken in by a false idea. Did you know about the raid on the interrogation block?”
Miles nodded
“Good. Do you know what happened to the freed prisoners?”
He nodded again and glanced at the door again.
“Well, where are they being kept, somewhere in this city?”
He nodded again keeping his eyes to the floor
“Where in this city?”
Miles looked up and spoke in a whisper
“They...They're in... A hospital”
The interrogator leaned back in his chair, of course hospitals were not being targeted
“Which hospital?”
“The one... The one on Asis Street”
The interrogator nodded and stood up, walking towards the door he motioned to the two soldiers to take the rebel back to his cell.

***

The Hospital on Asis Street was indeed being used for the refugees from the interrogation block, the actual place had been taken over by the rebels for the specific function of helping those who had undergone the torture that was interrogation. The government now had to find them back and make sure to silence them because should they get out and speak to the people, it may spark up more riots in the only recently stabilised city.
The raiding party was made up of soldiers, members of the guard and a few of the more fanatic vigilantes. They entered the hospital which had been evacuated of civilians and doctors by the rebels when they first took it. The operation was quick and efficient, each group splitting off and executing the former prisoners with the minimum of fuss and after getting rid of the rebel guards the operation was over after only half an hour although the actual executions took only fifteen minutes the rest was spend searching the building for any more signs of rebel activity.

After all Fictions is under going severe tensions and your sailors may end up being mistakenly harmed in the course of your fleet stay near Fictions waters. Neverless we wish to assure you we mean no harm and hope your fleets do not either to us or any of our allies.

To:Admiral Yelcan
From: Naval High Command

Heavily Encryted

Due to what we believe may be a delopvling situation within the zone which your fleet is located we wish for you to upgrade the fleet status to FECOM 4 and you now hearby have orders to establie a kill zone of 20 miles around the carrier group by sea & air and to conduct regluar aircraft flights to watch & study any ships sailing within 100 miles of carrier group. You also now have premssion to fire upon any hostile targets that fire upon the carrier group or it aircrafts. High Command Out.

Admiral Yelcan read his orders and signed with a heavy heart. He was a old man and had seen many conflicts in the name of his country. And this looked like another god forsaken war lighting up on the horzion. But neverless orders were clear and they had to be carried out. Soon flight deck perrsonals were ordered to switch their weapons from cold "dumby warheads"to hot one pack with firepower. To any crewman or pliot this looked like just another training exserice and such they though noting of it. Surely this was because of the arrival of the allied fleet and was ment as a way of showing off to the Buddha Cians. But yet soon many ships radios would soon scream with protests at fighter jets who would practince dry runs upon merchants ships or fly low passes pass ships bridges, obiovous to the screaming they recieved from said ships.

Also any ships that still passed closed by the carrier group(within 20 miles) were kindly but firmly escorted by frigates out of the carrier kill zone who were in the habit of suddenly racing ahead of their "escorts" and cutting across their path forcing them to violencely cut their speed to keep the ship crewmen scared shitless. But eventally most merchants ships would get the message and go around the fleet when they passed to carry their cargo to & from Whiskeasy, rather then deal with the crazy Fighter4u's even if this cost them time. Time that costed them alotta money now,but that was better then mistakenly getting blowed out of the water.

The same thing happened to any aircraft passing within 15 miles of the carrier group. They usually ended up with either a escort for a few miles or were subjected to violent passes by the Fighter4u fighter jets. Sometimes within half a wingtips of the airplanes. Once again these guys wouldgopefully soon get the message. And if they didn't and they dare approach within 3 miles of the carirer group. They would find themselfs bombared by warnings to turned away and evently if they kept to their path towards the carrier group. Just bombed...

And yet the great part about this was that none of it was illgeal as no guns were pointed nor were any threats made. Not out loud anyway.
