AHSCA 5 islands still seemingly pulling themselves back together after a lethal war and breach of protection. An extensive relife aid by Aurono had helped greatly to save the people from being whiped off the face of the planet by land-mines, disease, famine and other things. Now a stable Government was in place the islands were united under a single banner. However the Grand Duches as young as she was needed a husband. Should something happen to her someone would need to take over. That is how Aurora worked for years. Deep in a jungle in the interior of the island, Shino bathed in cold water to cool off from the heat of the day. Her hair hadn't grown extensively since her release from captivity. She used to have hair stretching down to her mid backside however it was cut into a shorter style when she was taken.

"Milady Shino?"

"What are you doing here, Alsah?"

"Forgive me milady but we have been searching for you. We have recived communications from the neighboring islands, they belive it is time you chose your mate."

"My mate?"

"Milady if something should happen to you someone will need to take over. If you don't have a husband, a villager would have to be chosen. We could lose controll of the unification if that happens."

"You make it sound like I'm a dictator."

"The Delceration and Constitution announces you as Grand Leader. You are the unifier."

"I suppose if it's time it's time." Shino knew how polotics worked on this island. Much of the orginal interior government had remained the same. Shino was helped from the water and escorted back to her hut. After putting some clothes back on she sat down.

"Wouldn't it make more sense for me to marry a native?"

"For you milady?"

"All right all right. But I want someone who actually looks like he would be from one of these islands."

"As you wish. Take a letter."

And the boat was sent out to the nearest country. Many copies were made then mass sendings were sent. Back on the island thunder crashed giving Shino a fright. "Maybe this was a bad idea. It feels like an Omen." She lit up a lone lantern. Storms on AHSCA were usually bad ones. They stayed for days and made the seas rough. Anyone who would make their way to these islands would have a hard time. Thoes others ran for cover and shelter of their huts.

In the recently built Embassy Complex of Mokastana Nicolas Villa received the letter on his desk, upon looking it over he was about to toss it out, but remembered his nephew was about that age, and single. He decided to fax it to the Villa estate with a note to his nephew.

Inside the Villa estate George Villa was reading the newspaper about the terrorist attack in the capitol yesterday and heard the fax machine. He walked over and glanced at the messages. the girl was attractive, and in some faraway land, and of course his uncle wanted him to go and meet new people, spread the word of Mokastana, become international and all that. Well what do i got to lose? he thought to himself


Dearest Duchess,

George Villa looked around the landscape...damaged yes. but nothing he hadn't seen before. Back at home storms were prayed for, sure they caused damaged, but that also meant the insurgences and government forces wouldnt fight.The storms brought peace when they could. Though now that the civil war was over the terrorist weren't as bad.

Shino finally arrived back. "Hello. Well I'm Shino Nano. This is my frist time being courted so I'm a little nervouse. Well I welcome you to AHSCA. This is Aurora Island the capital island state. Hence the A. Well i'm excited to meet all of you and I hope whom ever I chose I can be happy with. In the mantime I have set up a hut for each of you. Mikela will show you each to your personal hut. After that I will visit each one of you to learn about you"

"Follow me." Mikela said, as she led them. Each hut was pretty small. They could fit a family of seven though even though it would be one to a hut. They had naturall sunlight for now filtering inside but there was a lone lanter to light it at night.

George looked around his hunt, his home for the next...whenever.

"I see. Forigve me. Well I wanted to come to learn about all my new arrivals. I thought I'd start with you."

George sat on the ground realizing how unsure of what the proper "courting" process was here. At home people were very open about who they liked, well i guess flying around the world says something. but even he was at a loss of words. so much the Villa silver tongue.

"That's quite all right. I should mention the pump well is right out your hut. A gift from Aurono when they were here to help us. So please tell me about your self."

George leaned back against the wall of the hunt, making sure it was sturdy enough to hold his wieght. It did but gave a little to much for comfort, so he sat back up.

We Moka's haven't had much experience with other nations, other then military wise, but we still are a proud people. So this is as new to me as I assume this is for you.
To be honest seeing jungle here is a relief. Kinda like home.

I am Son of Juan Villa, who works with Public relations back home. However i work in the Embassy trying to get things settled down there so negotiation's and trade can commence.
well i am a socailist so i don't know if thats the deal maker or breaker. I served in the Mokastana's People's Army during the Civil war and was selected for Jaguar Elite Training, I turned it down only for them to realize who i was and send me to it anyways. But thats mainly the Dugal Family that handles the military. Villa's are more prone to Relations and diplomacy. They say our families silver tongue is genetic. As you may see mine is defective.(smiles)

So tell me a little about yourself..

i could easily survive without electricity, we just got it back after 3 years during the renovation of the capital. I'll miss it but i can live without. Now what do you mean take control if anything should happen to you?

I don't think of myself as a "national leader" material. Sure i know the importance of Public Opinion and emotion, but I don't know what the people are like here. Back home if a foreigner took presidential power a rebellion would occur instantly. I hope your people are nicer Shino.

"Well me, what can I say? Well both my parents died when I was still an infant. My father was a Duke for this island. Let's see, well one time I was at sea and got caught up in a big storm. I washed up on some strange shore and somehow they found I was an important person. I did a little negotiation to get us unified with another government. Well needless to say it fell through badly when their enemies came back to attack us. I was taken prisoner and was finally released after, well to tell you the truth I don't recall how long I was in captivity. I used to have really long hair but they cut it down when I was taken. Well I hate thunder and lightning but rain I absolutley love."

I understand. The past is the past. But if you need anything Mokastana will be more then willing to help. We have our problems but are trying to reach out.

Im sorry for talking about politics and the bloodshed involved. But maybe we can take a walk in the rain, enjoy the peace for a while.

Eerily enough the light rumble of thunder echoed in the distance as dark fell. "When it rains, I will take your offer on it. Tropical rains are quite common this time of year. Of course so are thunderstorms. Oh I should mention these huts are known to shake a little in the wind when it storms. So don't worry. And well Aurora Law has it, if the leader should die the spouse should take controll of the Goverment. That is why I should be getting married. Thanks for taking the time to talk with me. George saw the coming storm and decided on getting some sleep.
(This trip was worth it, definitely worth it.)

George woke up at first wondering where he was. then he remembered, he was applying to marry some queen of....AHSCA??

He walked over to the pump and got a bucket of water, a few drinks and then systema drills (moka's selected martial arts). Back in the hut he pulled out some fresh clothes,

"Yes, unforutnatley the pumps seem to be broken but there is a freshwater spring further into the jungle." The assitant said.

What the assitnat forgot to mention was that Shino her self was already bathing in that spring. Sure to be an awkward meeting.

George walked to the spring carrying only a change of clothes, a canteen with water purifying tables and some biodegradable soap.

Upon reaching the spring he saw what he thought was another person.

"well what do we got here"

Shino turned. "George" Shino said joyfully. "It's great to see you here."

"well i wasn't expecting this," no doubt the aide set this up

"Do you mind if join you?"

Korney yes, but he needed water and a bath.

"Not at all, come right in." As he entred the water Shino handed him a cloth. "Well it wouldn't suprise me if this was a set up, but oh well. Glad to see you're not bashful about batheing with a girl."

"well not with one as attractive as you...(chuckles)well we did have public baths for a while back home."

Shino blushed and giggled. "You flatter me. Did you sleep all right in the storm last night?"

that was a storm? huh no i didn't notice...It was one of the best nights in a while.

"I'm not sure if a modern infrastucture would be suportable for these islands. The islanders may have such a hard time adjusting to it. Besides I think I like it like this."

well maybe full metropolis style living isn't for here, but if you need any techno stuff Mokastana will be willing to help, you know roads, power anything. But im sure thats not the point of this trip, to discuss politics. Instead lets just enjoy the tour shall we

"Very well." Shino hoisted the sails and they made their way into open water. "Hoshino is our first stop. Hoshino is unique because it has a lot of tree top huts as well as beach huts."

Shino went over to another hut. Several children answered. "Keiko, it's Shino."

Keiko was actually younger than Shino and with extremly taned skin.

"Shino, hello."

"I wanted to check on you, last I left you, you hadn't gotten your hut fully secured."

"We're okay now, and the storm last night didn't do much."

"Good, good."

"Would you like to come in Duchess?"

"I best not I have a guest. But I wish you and your brothers and sisters well."

"Thank you and to you too."

"You'll have to forgive me for duing this kind of work while you are here. I really must. Let's be off to Stilleståndö." And like that they boarded the small boat again bound for the next island. They beached up on the same shores where the worst coup de at in the islands history occured. Though the scars were hidden of course.

"Shino!" Schala the island leader let out a cry of joy. "It's good to see you."

"You too Schala. This is my freind George. He's a potential mate for me."

"How do you do Geroge?" Schala asked. "I'm Schala the leader of this island."

why am i introduced as a potential mate all the time...must be there way of saying it, like suitor or something....well their culture their rules and if things are going to go the way i plan i might as well as get used to it...suddenly his surroundings caught up to him

"what happened here?...it looks like the our capitol after the Urcean napalm attacks..."

"Well thank you. You speak from experience." Schala said sadly. "That is exactly what happend here. Napalmed. But Aurono has restored as much as they could, thankfully. Well Shino you will be glad to know the flood waters have died down and most huts are rebuilt."

"That is great to hear."

"I'm sure you and your freind would like some water. Follow me to the well."

Schala led them she hosited up a bucket of water. Help your selves." She laid out two ladels into the bucket.

"Crystal Clean," Shino said. The water was very clean looking as well as clean. Each well now had a filtering system that kept the water cleaner than it was.

"clean water...that is always good news...."

George took a sip and felt the cool water go down.

"this place is paradise," then he looked as if he had a flashback...a horrible flashback.." there wouldnt happen to be any rougue armies or terrorist around here would there be?"

"No, no it's usually really quite. Most rouge factions have been weeded out in the last war and relife work."

If only Mokastana could say the same thing...we have many terrorist factions...a lot anti-international, we had an attack on the embassy complex the day it opened and we think that is why we have had so few applicants.
(sigh)

well on the bright side i can walk through the jungles here and not worry about being abducted or killed, maybe we can learn somethings from you

"Understood." And again they were off. "Corona will be our next stop."

They arrived on Corona, another heavily resoted island. "Corona was also napalmed in the war. But much of the jungle has been restored."

Amazing....so this island is the one that built the wells and supplied filters right?


and another question, is one of these islands the one that you united with, or something like that....joined together, or should i ask which one?

"All these islands are our united states. Shortly after the war, when I was still being held in captivity they came together and made a constitution as well as a delceration. So all five of us united, as one. To much controversy. Oh and there is supposed to be a movie about the previous cheif of this island."

really that could be interesting to see...what happened to make that a great movie idea?

"Kino was our finest island cheif of Corona. An inspriration to all, he sacraficed him self to save his wife. An advent singer of our delceration and a willing sacrafice. There's no doubt in anyone's mind he was tortured for hours. His wife Ayla has now assumed chief."

How many more islands are their after this, I was hoping that perhaps you could come back and visit Mokastana, probably not a full tour, but perhaps the capital if you would like

"There is one more island after this. And well, perhaps one day we can set sail for Mokostana. I've never really been off the islands before. Or at least never under my own pleasure."

After their breif visit to Corono they made their way to Animalpolis. "Animalpolis, people look a little diffrent, please do not be alarmed." Neko children not quite human not quite cat. They ran out to greet them. "You see some people have these unsual traits. They have cat ears and tails but that's it. Well not all of them do. Some have other traits."

cat people at first scared George, something unnatural, but they seemed all right

"Well some have fox ears and tails some have wolf ears and tails. Some have rabbit ears and cotton tails. Everyone on this island is unique. And the children seem to like you."

That does seem to be the case...(George was working on prying off a kid with cat ears from his leg)

So this is the AHSCA huh, is that an acronym for something??

Well these Islands do offer a compelling argument to stay here, but rather then jumping the gun maybe i should ask you what comes next. After all i am just a mere suitor milady (George leaned in) and it is your desicion on who to chose ( a tried for another kiss)

Shino embraced the kiss. Later on as they arrived back on Aurora a sudden tropical rain fell. "Rain." Shino giggled

"Yes you certianly did. We can take the senic route back to my hut we don't have to go back right away."

"That sounds like an excellent idea..shall we?"

they walk along the route chatting and enjoying each others company

"it does appear to be getting late doesn't it, no matter, we'll just see what happens"

"Yes it is." Shino sighed happily. But she was disappointed when they came back to her hut. "Well good night." That night Shino was restless she tossed and turned with dream after dream. As morning broke she felt it was time. "Geroge, I've decided, I want you to be my husband."

Then it hit George why he really was here, he was going to live here, Mokastana would just become an Ally, rather than home.

"I guess if I said yes I would have to stay here and live huh...decisions decisions.....I would love to except that I don't know what about back home...i mean how will that work out, I assume that our nations will work together...but I will miss Mokastana, it may be a wartorn nation, but it is our war torn nation."

George looked up and smiled
"When would you like the wedding?"

"If you will please live here, it would make me happy. And well the wedding by AHSCA standards would be a week from tonight. Even if it's raining. Either way I am yours." Shino advance onto him kissing him.

"Now that I have chosen you to be my mate, you and I no longer have to be in seperate huts. We can be together. Is that okay with you?"

and they kissed,they kissed for what seemed like eternity
George had Finally found the woman of his dreams...everything was going right, the question was what was going to go wrong

She kissed him once more and took his hand and smiled at him. That evening it would be their first time together. Kind of a muggy thundery stormy night. Inside the small hut of Shino the lone lantern didn't give more than a dim light. The sound of the waves crashing on the beaches with the occasional clap of thunder. Shino was a bit scared but she decided she wanted to play up her fear factor. "Some night." She said stearing up. Thunder and lighting the constant companions were really at it tonight. Shino began to pant and kind of sweat a little. It glistend clearly off her bare skin. Somehow acting frightend made her even more frighted. But it was okay her lover was here to protect her.

It will be over soon, don't worry mi amor....tonight lets just enjoy ourselves. Let nature do as she will, and let us do as will

"You're right. Silly of me to be firightend." Shino cuddled in closer with him. He wrapped his arms around her as she lied ontop of his chest.

George woke up after what he remembered being a great night. He looked over at his finance and remembered how lucky he was...

Now when were we suppose to get married

Shino awoke. Not once during the night had their embrace broke. "Good morning." Shino said

"I feel like just taking you out onto the water. A nice sailing trip, no politcal business this time, just you and me and the water."

"Yes indeed. Just one moment, let me dress." Shino dressed in a pair of overalls, leaving her shirt off but with both straps up. "Come." She took his hand and lead him out to the tiny boat. She hoisted up the sail and began sailing. "If we are too visit your country we will need to build a bigger boat. We will start after the wedding here. Do you know anything about boat building?"

boat building, sorry no i dont, i can fight and talk my out of things and thats about it...so when should we schedule the wedding so i can call back home and get some guest?

"I wouldn't worry I know plenty. I'll teach you everything.Oh dear, didn't I mention the cerimoney is always a week from the day the proposal is made and accepted? I thought I did. Well I'm guessing they may be able to make it on time. If we call today and if the weather is good."

Shino kissed him back. Her hands fondled over his bear chest. "Mmm later, plenty of time for that later. I should mention this, during the cerimoney there will be some events that may frighten you or disturbe you. I know you aren't knowing of our customes but I will be put to the test. Shino embraced him as her form of sympathy. The Night had finally arrived of their wedding. A large bonefire was lit and all leaders were there as well as many from the other islands. And all guests were now here. A large drum began to bang. "Let the wedding begin." A light rain fell occasionally through the night. Shino walked out, completly nude. She nelt down. "Shino you have taken the boy over there to be your husband?"

"yes I have."

"Very well. To prove your love to be strong, you must prove your self to be strong."

A bucket of hot water and cold water was poured on Shino one after the other. "Representing of the harsh changes that can occure."

Shino walked across a carpet lenght of hot coal. "What will you do for your love."

"Thank you." After they had enjoyed the guests and the company the night grew on. They had returned to the hut. Pretty soon a gale wind was picking up. Palm trees were blowing lighting flashed. Inside the hut it was shaking from the wind the lone lantern was haning and swining like a lanten on a ship. However neither Shino nor George payed the storm mind. They were lost in their passion. Passion they were reserving till their final night. This night.

overhead the wedding guest returned to Mokastana via plane...unfortunately their night wasn't to be as pleasant. As the plane descended at Mokastana International Airport a Super Stinger missile rose from the darkness and struck one of the 4 main engines, the pilot had no time to react....in normal flight this would not have effected the flight, however at these low heights the plane gave just enough so the left wing stuck the ground first, causing the plane to bank left above the runway, 2 more Super stinger missiles flew up at struck the outer right engine and the midsection, almost ripping the plane in half. the plane stuck the runway sideways, and only the remains of the right wing kept it from rolling over. Paramedics rushed to the scene while ground vehicles and soldiers searched for the shooters....

they could only pray some survived

The breif moment Shino paused she whispered. "I told you, I would do anything for you my love. Whether walk a line of coal or brave a stormy sea." She resumed but stopped hoping he would say something

And the night wore on. By the next morning the gale had left it's mark. Tree limbs were down, some huts were blown over as well. With no potential way for any calls or messages to come in.

George walked outside the hut and examined the devastation around him...

"well looks like we got our work cut out for us....Where do we begin?"

"This is perfect in a way. The storm has left enough wood to build our selves a boat. But we probably should check the roof of the hut and make sure there aren't any breaks."

"Well we are gearing in season for Hurricanes. The odds may be fair enough. And yeah it was quite a storm last night. I would say it was likely a gale. And well I don't know, we have lived here all our lives and we just take what comes and hope for the best. I hope your guest will be okay as well. I flew once on an airship it wasn't pleasent."

After some hours had passed the frame was nearly done. "You're a fast learner. Well I think we should call it a day. Will you have a bath with me?"

It was season all right, likely plenty of tropical storms and depressions were going through the area brining heavy rains. Monsoon and Hurricane season were right around the bend. They walked into the dark jungle, with only the lantern for light.

They arrived at the spring, George dove in the water first, a light mist was overcoming the spring and darkness began to fall

"Well the boat is small enough for two of us, but it's also big enough for at least four crew members. We may want to give it four crew for our first journey, untill I teach you how to sail. We have been trying to get larger sailing ships for mass travel, so far not a lot of luck." Shino place another board and nailed it in. "Which is one thing I hope to gain sometime in the future.

kind hard to do without modern technology....but if you want to continue with keeping everything in paradise perfect we may need to re-think that....maybe while in Mokastana we can contact an engineering firm or too to help out our islands

"Yes, we will build the strongest boat we can." Shino said happily then resumed building. As dark fell again they threw the tarp over it once more and made their way to the spring for a bath. The sky was crystal clear and the seas were calm. And as an added treat a sudden meteor shower geared up. "Look! It's so pretty!" Shino exclaimed.

"I-(Shino panted) I don't know. Maybe. I've also been thinking, I know we thought of crewing the boat but if we are going to keep this up with each other..." She laughed a little "We best be on our own. Sailing is really easy once you get the hang of it."

" ahh if you say so...(george rolled over and collapsed) I think im just goin to sleep here for awhile"

Shino cuddled up to him. "Good idea." Both of them slept on through the night and well into the morning. "All right, let's ship off." Many people had gathered to see Shino and her husband off. One person threw a barrel full of water at the stern. The barrel shattered splashing the water onto the steren. And before they knew it the boat was on open water, under blue sky and fair seas.

George pulled out some champaign he had managed to smuggle onto the island....

"lets celebrate" and pops open the bottle " to AHSCA and Mokastana

"Oh my," She said a little amazed "To AHSCA, and our marriage." She sipped it down."

"No it's not." Shino said. "Better take it easy. Let's save some for when we reach port. Anyway, I think I'm going to rest for a while." Shino lied down and had a nap. As night fell, Shino emerged from bellow deck to look at the stars. She looked at the compas and a custom made odometer. "We are really making excllent time." Shino said.

The sky was overcast with low haning dark clouds. They were in for their first storm. The sea was gradually growing rough, Shino increasingly nervous. She went back down bellow, she figured they had time before it hit so she ate what she could and as fast as she could. A dish of polished white rice.

"i think I'm better now..did you see those clounds..this may not be a nice ride"

"Yeah were in for a storm all right. It's brewing fast." Shino sighed nervously. "It's going to be a rough ride. I anchored down so that we may ride it out." It began to grow increasingly dark now.

What could Shino do? She was just as frightend as her husband. She always relied on him for comfort. She threw a blanket over both of them and cuddled up nice and close.. The boat was rocking increaslingly bad now. Each clap of thunder seemingly made them both jump. Outside it was pretty nasty. The waves were high and the rain was pouring down. The small boat was being tossed all over the place.

should of flown out.....this was crazy...thats all he could think, but there was more then a trip here,this trip meant the hope of his new home, helping those villagers get the same spirit his people had, and maybe without the constant civil war...

They set sail once more onto the horizion. They had come to a midway stopping point. Gal De Val Island to restock and resupply.

"Gal Da Val island was an island given to us, during the war. It was a place for refuge and an outpost for humanitarian aid for us. It's about as big as Aurora and Corona Combined, and it's protected by a treaty."

wow, it looks like we got a coast guard. Ok well lets let them board and get an idea of whats going on inland.

The Mokastana People's Army was disbanded at the request of the people. An invasion of Mexico is underway. the Villa family is in hiding. we can sneak you in, but can offer no more then a few hours."

To his confused wife:
"the navy has always stayed neutral in politics, their concern is the sovereignty of Mokastana. They offer protection to anyone who can pay for it, and the Villas, well we have been very nice donors."

"I see. Will they take us to your family then?"

"we can, but we will need to hide your boat."

They took the boat to a small island of the northern coast. Then to another small island farther south.

"the Villas are hiding out on a small island/naval base. we only use it for storage. but you should really be grateful it has a barracks and supplies to live on."

While the navy was neutral the air force on the other hand was more then happy to serve as spies for the government. SO they had to move fast.

They moved like lighting, dodging every which way when jets or helicopters flew over. Shino could smell rain in the air and felt the air change. "It's going to storm" She thought aloud.

That may be just what we need to make this happen....

They made it to the island soon enough, the villa family was there all right.
