Romania and Yugoslavia still existed prior to the collaspe of the USSR (well not sure about Romania to be truthful, but I'm fairly confident it existed :D). Yugoslavia collasped after the fall of the USSR and broke up into several different states.

Anyhow I think Yugo would be considered neutral, even if it was communist (Tito-Stalin split). Anyhow doesn't really matter as this is an alternate history so anything can happen (I mean in real history, China is neutral since the Sino-Soviet split). Hell, the USA can even be a commie! (well ok not that far...)

Remember, most of that oil goes to America. :p I've sent an aircraft carrier and a few ships to protect it, so if you sell it to Communist nations I won't be pleased. Neutral nations are fine to sell too though - not to ditact what you do with your oil, just saying what will please America.


Actually, I believe France has what I'm looking for (unless the USA would be willing to part with one of it's decomms...). France has a carrier in drydock, the Clemenceau, awaiting Decom...but it's still in fine condition and can host 40 aircraft. Should work fine for me (assuming France is looking to make some money, and not just looking for scrap metal).

If you show that you can be trusted by America, and our pro-NATO, then as my factbook states - we will start discussing selling. Obviously, all NATo nations get first dibbs so to speak.

My diplomatic relations with nations have had a big revamp to include new nations. Basic changes are that Russia and Cuba are now Unstable, not enemies, all Warsaw Pact nations minus Afghanistan (who are a Democratic Republic so are labelled as stable) are Unstable, and all NATO nations are allies, and all neutral nations minus India and Japan who are 'Friendly', are Stable.

K. However, I know little about these destroyer - what I did find out is that Sweden has a few which are good, though the US has now created a few also that are more technologically capable - now I could only find evidence that the US have these stealth destroyers which it's unlikely I would sell. Simple then - remain neutral. :) And America will happily take your oil resources if you state what you want in return - something like no tariff trade with America could boost your economy greatly.

2 things about France: 1, your factbook is a bare minimum
2, if you had a "revolution" to overthrow your leaders and become communist, then you would have destroyed economy and infastructure in the process, so your GDP should be lowered a little.

Also, update for my diplomacy: As long as you exchange embassies with Japan, you're bumped to Condition Green (Calm). If you go above that (Korea, USA, USSR so far in Japan's eyes), you can achieve better statuses (those guys have all gotten to Condition Blue, Friendly...nobody yet at Indigo/Allied)

History

Did you say Nicaragua? Haha... we're friends... but i'm not going to let ANY nations troops in my border unless I'm at war, or they're in an embassy. So while we like you, its a simply rule... because of bad history we've had with the US... And if you check out the Factbook Ethnicities, 12% of my population is Mayan Descendants... and while you did not wipe them out, you wiped their neighbors out in the North. They are paranoid, and 12% is a large chunk of population.

Then came Mao's Reapproachment with the USA and nixons visit to china. This strained relations and when Mao died, China cut aid and eventually relations were severed.

Going it alone (1978-1985):

Albania was a very isolated corner of the world and trade and relations was very restricted. Enver Hoxha declared Albania to become a socialist Paradise on its own. Enver Hoxha died and was replaced by Ramiz Alia.

Challenge to the Party (1986-1991):

with the economic stagnation in Europe, Ramiz Alia bowed to pressures telling him to look at the international standards of human rights, Which albania was very behind. Ramiz Alia allowed limited economic reforms folowed by some political reforms such as a limited free news paper and some pluralism in the government. by 1989 the communist states in europe survived and no revolutions took place. The party took a big sigh of relief as they had been anticipating a revolution. However the reforms Alia introduced gave the Albanians an expectation of more freedom and strikes, demonstrations and protests plagued the nation through late 1990-early 1991. In July Hardliners staged a coup and eliminated the reforms, imposed martial law and deposed Ramiz Alia and expelled him from the country.

The Return to isolationism and re-stalinization (1991-2007):

Çomo Bashkim established himself as the new leader by October 1991 and he bacame the President of Albania, head of the Communist Party and minister of foriegn affairs. all opposition was crushed the reforms were denounced and propaganda was expanded to demonise all of Albania's neighbors

Italy = for its invasion and attrocieties during 1939-1944
Yugoslavia = for betraying Stalin and its relaxed brand of communism
Greece = because greeks in southern Albania were being prosecuted
USSR = for betraying stalin and its policies
China = for its betrayal of Stalin
ect

in 2006 Çomo handed the post as minister of foriegn affairs to a loyal party member but he still had a tight grip on the nation and Albania's economy continues to grow at a snails pace, the borders have been sealed since 1946 and living standards are still low.
Last year in 2006 Albania celebrated 60 years under communist rule and Çomo celebrated his 56th birthday.

Your actually only a couple of hours timezone wise from me. I live in the UK, so I understand what you mean - most people here most in the Middle of the night to me lol. I'll give around 48 hours for votes yeah. The whole point of the thread being by video think was so you didn't have to have the hassle of RP going to the airport, then meeting, then lunch etc. - however you can RP a fews things, like your leaders character, how he makes descisions etc.

What the hell? I certainly don't remember selling you an aircraft carrier - all I've sold you in 295,000 guns. I said I'd send 1 Nitmz class aircraft carrier and a couple of cruisers to protect oil assests - not give them to you! I don't sell Naval Ships - and I've checked in all the threads I could of sold you it in. LOL Saudi Arabia is anti-American. Also, Mussleburgh - America does not hate you - you just made a very bad diplomatic mistake when using the words 'anti-American' and 'building nuclear weapons' in the same paragraph. Anyway, I don't want to be harsh - just somewhat realistic - I'd like to point out that nuclear weapons take years to build, thats months real time, a larger economy and support from nations that would be a diplomatic blunder.
