Two Marines watched as Wolf walked past and exited through the door.

"Where's he been?" asked one

Victor hit the wall hard as the ship lurched violently to one ship, it took the ships autopilot a moment or two to correct this matter. As the ship finally leveled off it took him a few seconds get this bearings, the smoke that filled hallway was beginning to burn eye and cause them to water, and he could only see about 3 meters in either direction. However, knew the ship so well that he could find his way around it with his eyes. Close.

Making his way down to the hallway he paused for a moment to examine a body that was laying there. Checking the man pulse it was clear that there was nothing that Victor could do for him now. Fighting his way through the ship he would come across several more soles that would call the ship their final resting place.

Once again the ship lurched beneath him, and it was clear that it would not be much longer until the ship came apart. However, and the ship First officer it was his job to get as many off and into the life pods as possible.

Somewhere off in the distance he could people shouting. Debris had filled the way, making it even more difficult to find his way over. Fighting way through he finally came a across a group of crew members huddled around.

“What going on?” he yelled over the noise “Everyone needs to get to escape pods” As one the crewmen turned to face him Victor could see that something was wrong.

“It the Captain, she trapped back there” Panic rushed Victor, as he tried to rush past to see first hand what was going. But the group quickly grabbed him and struggled to hold him back “There is nothing that you can do for her, it to late, she ordered us to abandon ship.

“Let me go, that is an order!” Victor pleaded with them. Able to get his footing, he was able to push one the man in to the wall, get free. Not wasting anytime Victor pushed forward rushing down to see the Captain. He could feel his heart sink as he could finally see her.

Her Body was mangled trapped under some twisted debris, from what he could see she was still alive, if only from the time being. Running over he reached out to her, his tears were no longer from the smoke, but from the pain that he felt in his.

“Shenna” he said as he reached out took her hand, though her face was covered in blood he could still her beauty.

“The Captain goes down with her ship” coughed with a bit smile as she saw there. “Leave, there is no point in you dying too, that an order.” Her voice was weak, and she fought to the words.

“I am not leaving here to die alone” shot back, he wanted to say more, but watched as the life left her eyes. Overcome by grief he sat there, for the first time in his life he no longer wanted to live.

A spark caught his attention, moment before the a nearby panel blew up, and things went dark.

Through the darkness saw light, slowly a face appeared though the face never came into clear focus he see that it belonged to a woman, but it was someone he had never met before, and was not a member of the crew, she was something else.

Victor sat up with lightening speed, panting he could feel his heart racing. His hands were cold and clammy with sweat. After a moment he could hear his alarm blaring in the distance, glancing at his watch he could see that it only two hour before the scheduled staff meeting.

Getting out bed he made his way to the shower to start getting ready.

Cavourna tossed and turned, sweat running down his forehead and his arms.

"Seargeant! Enemy fighter NNE 5 should we call for reinforcements?"
Cavourna sat behind the controls of his XX-37, the latest Alversian Fighter. His Squadron of 19 pilots were spread out behind him. Through the bubble conopy he could see the lone fighter, smoke billowing from it's port engine. 'Can't do much' he thought.

"Negative" He said through the intercom, all fighters prepare to engage. They were all two years younger than him, 19 or 20 years old. Freshly graduated from the Acadamy, they trusted his judgement even though he was only 22. He lined his fighter up with the target and tried tp hold her steady 'my first kill' he thought.

"Seargeant! Enemy fighters coming in from the..." the fighter directly beside him exploded, throwing debris all over space. As Cavourna looked around trying desperately to see what had happened, his other wingman Robert Jons, an 18 year old orphan was hit and exploded he screamed as he was engulfed in flames.

All around him Cavourna could see XX-37's exploding. He could hear the screams and the terrified voices begging for help or calling for their mommy. His Corporal and best mate Harry Norton cried over the intercom, "there are too many! we're being slaughtered!" then "I've one on my tail! I can't shake hi..." the intercom gave a piercing scream as the fighter exploded. Bits of debris and human clattering against his canopy.

Cavourna crouched as low down in his cockpit as he could and began to cry. He cried for help as he wrung his hands, the fighter on auto-pilot. The screams were stopping one by one as the emitter's life was brutally ended, crammed into the claustraphobic cockpit.

Suddenly, the Danaversian Fighter in front of him exploded. He looked round and saw with joy that 20 XX-37's were peeling off one-by-one and launching into the Danaversians. After a few more minute's the enemy fighters retreated. Cavourna joined with the XX-37's who had joined him and looked for any of his Comrades to join him.

There was only one.

Cavourna slumped back into his chair again, the world seemed to be going in slow motion, he was dazed and sick and the tears would not stop flowing. He heard a distorted voice on the intercom

"Jesus Christ Cavourna! I told you not to engage alone! Why lad? Why didn't you listen to me?"

Cavourna woke up with a start to see a tearful Natalie sitting at his bedside. He tried to speak to her before the gravity of the dream hit him and he went limp "I didn't listen Natalie" He began to cry again "Why didn't I listen? WHY DID I IGNORE HIM?!?" he shouted, making her jump. She went over to him and they hugged, Him sobbing into her chest.

Cavourna sat for another minute before slowly rising and going to the bathroom. Natalie could hear retching noises from within. She lay on his bed and cried again.

Dr. Tot strolled out of his office with his uniform on. Did that man ever sleep? He was always the last one up after everyone else fell asleep, and the first one up before everyone else awoke. He was always bright happy and cheerful, and did not at all appear to be suffering from lack of sleep. He strolled around the station, taking the long way to the meeting. A way so long and needlessly complicated, he would arrive with five minutes to spare, yet he was leaving a full two hours early.

Dan went for his gun as he ran "hey you stop!" the guy then took the money and ran, with Dan after him. the man was fast but knew Dan would catch up so he dove around a corner and stopped. The man pulled a gun turned the corner and fired on Dan. People started to scream and run, Dan dropped to the ground raised his gun and fired. He blew the gun out of the guys hand, he then ran up and kicked the guy in the face knocking him out "This reminds me of my military days heh good times" he said. He then picked the guy up and began to drag him "alright situation over people.

Vulpres found himself at a bit of a connundrum. It seemed like he was required at this staff meeting, as was all the staff but then he was secruity and if all the secruity was at the meeting then there would be none protecting the people of the station. He decided to go to find out where he was needed.

He entered and immediatedly made his way to his superior. "Need here I?"

DAn dragged the man into security and threw him into the jail cell slaming him against the wall. He then closed the cell and walked off to continue his runs, it was getting busy again on the station.

"Preferably by electronic transfer to the Ri-an department of foreign accounts. We'll leave the details in your mainframe." The Aquamarinians said.

They hopped off the Gareens, who just stood there drooling on the ground. The Aquamarinains kept them in that state on purpose, otherwise, there would be much unneccessary bloodshed.

First things first they used their cyberpsi to get into the computer and find out how everything's supposed to be put together in the first place.

Then they set to work doing it. What they couldn't put together themselves, they had the gareens do. They worked silently, quickly, and effeciently.

Then they set about improving the AI, weapons systems and controls, first repairing them, then improving upon them, by intergrating them all into a single neural interface in the Captain's chair. Essentially, all one needed to do to pilot the vessal, was sit in the captain's chair and think it. the interface was designed to network with the captain's mind and feed him all the information he would have to look up manuelly. It was like being a part of the ship. In case something broke the interface, the old controls were still in place and ready to go at a moment's notice. The Aquamarinians had pushed the ship to its technological edges.

They explained the new control scheme. Basicly, he just sat in the captain's chair, and relayed his commands by thought alone. Thought was the fastest form of communication, and this was reflected in the controls. They had him sit in the shair, attuned the controls to his mind, and then walked him through it all, having him do all the flying himself, while they told him how to do it. They also showed him the over ride to convert it back to the three seperate systems they were before. After making sure he knew how to fly his ship they left.

After having thanked the Aquamarines for their kind services and putting their payment on en route, Kartosh went back and had Skyler pack her bags. Skyler got aboard the newly repaired ship, and Kartosh, after stowing his bags aboard the ship, left the station. The Star Snake orbited the station once, then blasted off into Hyperspace. In an Alversian bank Commander Tony Thalin would soon find his account had increased by 25,000 credits. Just a little thanks for his help.

"Actually there is there, Ismata and I intercepte some of the people behind there, it would seem that they were trying to steal some thing called the Matrix." Victor paused for a moment "From what I can gather, it was the object that was stolen from the evidence locker. I have also have reason to believe that Ismata may have known about the attack before hand."

His options were limited, it was very dangerous to mess the First X's affairs, and Victor knew it. "Jason I want you to find out as much as you can about what was stolen, and I want it kept as low key as possible. Ella, if there are anymore secrets to this stations design, I want you to find them. Walking inside, Vulpres would catch the man by surprise. He was working on a bomb capable of destroying the station if attached to the engine. He slipped, and it only made a small bang, and blew him against the wall, unconciouss.

"Here man, blown up self. I jail to bring." Vulpres muttered to himself as he walked over and slung the man over his shoulder. Walking out, he paused for a second as he wasn't quite sure where to place the man before heading to the medical ward. Doc. Tot was the one who wanted him so to Doc. Tot he'd be delivered.

Just about at the medical offices, he paged Jason to let him know that the man had been captured and was being taken to medical.

"so what are we talking about"ask Mira as she picks a glass
"we talking that ranndilin draeval zhah au"said Snow to her
"so it is"said Mira as takes a sip of the drink

Dan walked down the endless halls of the stations, it had gotten quiet on the stations for now, it gave him time to think " A dimplomat? here? of all places what the frack is going on?" he asked him self.

Dr. Tot looked the man over.
"He'll be fine." He said before placing him behind a secure Forcefield.

Dan walked upto a computer and input his security code to see who on the station was wanted. He took down a list and then lofed off the console. He continued walking down the hall, it was quiet, vary quiet. So he moved a little faster to get to the main areas.

As Victor walked through the station his thoughts drifted, he almost walked head long into several people, avoiding them at the last possible moment. He could not stop thinking about this so called Matrix, and what object could be so important that someone was willing to go to such extreme lengths in order to get a hold off it. Jason had not been willing to dig up any information on the thing.

Gathering what little information that he could he could not shake the feeling that was being pushed towards something bigger then he could ever have imagined by someone or something that was beyond his control. He was pushed down stream by some imaginary force.

Though things on the station had returned back to normal it did not make him feel any better. Looking up he realized that he had found his way to merchant sector, which was one of the last sections of the station that was still being worked on. There was a giant charred hole in the upper right quadrant from the explosion, and several of the shop windows still needed to be repaired. As some of the maintenance personal saw him, they seemed to work a little faster, in fear of what might happen if they didn’t get it done on time.

However, for the moment he decided to take a break, and grab something while he was here. Looking around it took him moment to find something of interest, in the end he had decided to visit the local coffee shop. He had acquired a taste for tea years ago and had not had a chance recently to indulge that taste.

Cutting through the crowd he quietly slipped into the shop, as not to attract and unwanted attention, he just wanted a moment to continue his thoughts. He did not get more then two steps into the story when a voice called out to him.

“Captain Elmquest!” shot a pleasant but sharp voice from somewhere behind him. “Please why don’t you join me”

At first Victor was somewhat annoyed the thing that he wanted to was speak to another person about the attack, but as he turned to face whoever had called him he quickly changed his mind. He recognized the woman as the one who was speaking with Ismata, this suddenly proved to be a chance for him to get a bit more information. His mind raced trying to remember the woman’s name, it took him a moment. “Ah Hello Samantha” he paused for a moment, waiting for her reaction to make sure that he had called her by the right name. From her face, it was clear that he had gotten it correct. “Sure I would love to join, but first if you would excuse while I go an order something to drink.”

A smile came across her face as she motioned at lone cup that was sitting across from her “No need, I have already ordered for you, Monk blend I do believe is your drink of choice. A bit bitter for my liking, but an interesting one none the less.” She answered back casually as she took a sip of her own tea. “so Captain you really don’t have any other excuses as to why you can’t join me for a drink.”

Sitting down Victor took a quick sip of his tea, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was true Monk blend. However, he met this with caution, there were but a handful of people that knew that this was his favorite, even fewer that were still alive. He looked over at Samantha, he still could not shake the feeling that he had meet her at one point.

He studied her features for a moment. Her hair was dark, not black but a perfect mixture black a brown, and when the light hit it in certain way it almost seemed to red. Her eyes were a gentle green almost soothing in nature. Her face seemed gentle, but strong all the same time. She held her self in a confident manner. If she was an Agent she didn’t carry her self as one, she was something totally different.

“So what brings you the station” asked Victor politely. He was hoping to warm her up with some general conversation, while at the same try to press her for some information. “I feel that I am at a disadvantage, you seem to know far more about me then I do about you.”

As she finished her tea she leaned in closer to Victor so that only he could hear her answer. “I came to see you” she answered “I believe that you have a question for me, you want to know what the Matrix’s is?”

This seemed too good to be true for Victor; he could hardly believe that she would simply give him the answers that he was looking. “Yes, and why are people willing to kill to get.” he finally answered, his mind race with anticipation as he hoped the answer would come.

“What the Matrix is not important to you at this moment in time” said Samantha almost crushing Victors hopes. “But I can tell you this.” She paused as she made sure that she Victor complete attention. “For over three thousand year the has been a war being fought in the shadows, every once and while that struggle spilt out in to the open. Every major event in our history has been a direct result of the war. Only recently have those at the high levels of power have even become aware of this, and they only have a slight understanding as to what is going.”

“So what role do you play in this secret war” interrupted Victor searching for a deeper meaning to her comments”

Samantha looked down at the table for a brief moment before glancing up at Victor “I am one of those who is fighting on the front line, as are you”

Her words hit Victor like a ton of brick, he had been caught completely off guard. “What do mean by that, I not part of any things here, I have no idea what is going on.”

Once again Samantha leaned in “This station will become the next battle ground, the fate of future will depend on how things unfold here, and regardless of what you want you are now a part of this conflict.”

Victor mind raced to keep up, he tried not to draw any quick conclusion. His only thought was that of the station. “Are saying this station is danger?”

“Thing will good for now, but that will not always be the case. For now, I am nothing more then your guide, but in the end you will have to find your own.” With that she stood up from her chair. “I’ve told you all that you need to know, and now I must take my leave.”

Quickly Victor reached up a grabbed her hand. “Where can I find you if I need help”

“When that time comes I will find you.” Was the answer that she gave as she walked out the door.

OOC: as there have not been any post in the last little I thought I would write this as an ending. I do plan to continue the story, But it will set in the near future. When I have the details I will post a link.
