Natalie thought for a moment before answering the question "I was born in Illesia, the capital of Alversia" she began, picturing the gleaming marble city.

"It really is the most beautiful place in Alversia. There is virtually no poverty, the Government goes out of it's way to help those in need and I was no exception. My Father died when I was young so my mother couldn't work and leave me and three younger sisters alone. The State paid for my house, my education, my football gear and my university fees. They also paid for me to go to the military acadamy and refused to take any money as repayment when I graduated. Murder is illegal in Alversia but to kill the murderer lowers you to their level, we don't do that. I used to think that Alversia's way of life was normal but after some of the places that I have served in, I have realised that Alversia is unique. Political and Civil Rights are the highest priority in Alversia, no one is forgotten and if you disagree with the Government and it's policies then so what? It's your right to critizise and the government's job to listen. I've never thought about it before but know that I do, I feel almost homesick"
She stopped and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"It's like the Alversian saying goes: We fight for freedom and honour, we stand to the last for freedom and honour, it is an honour to die for freedom. Every Alversian lives by this statement and so have I" he turned and began working again, with the image of the marble spires in her mind.


"Things are a bit different in Tappee, the Govenment truely does care for the people. We have absolute trust in the Tribunal and its wisdom, we place the needs of the nation above that of even our own. There is no greater honor then to give you life defending our nation. But for those that threaten our way of life, the end comes soon and with out mercy. We have the First X, and serve as our voice, as well as protectors from all threats. They act without predjuice or mercy." retorted Ella to Natalies comments "There are few that question them or their methods. But they are few, and live in the depths of our society."

The Alversian Captain came into their cell and sat down on the nearby seat, he was protected by the two Guardsmen. Any attempt to escape or harm them would be futile. The Captain removed his hat before speaking calmly, clearly and slowly:

"As you may or may not know many years ago a battle take place in the Danaversian War. Many of my comrades were killed by hired Mercenaries and that has left a bitter pill in the hearts of our people. They wish to see those who escaped captured and returned to face justice. Now I don't suspect that you were involved in the fleet battle, but the ship you arrived in has. It is present on the Mercenary Fleet order of battle under a different name, the Solarwing, I suspect it has come under new ownership since then but this ship along killed 500 Alversians and that makes her high on the Alversian hit list. All we want from you is information about that ship and do not try to lie to me or give me half truths, you are being treated well here and I would hate to have to transport you to a prison ship"

OOC: You could try and evade the Alversian Authorities, should you wish, but no more battles, ones enough for a while

OOC: Xiscapia, where is this in relation to the currant Xiscapian/Korr conflict that Alversia is involved in? Before or After?

IC: The Alversian Marines scanned the ship, trying to see if it was one of those that had taken part in the battle. It seemed remote that this had taken part as it was not in the order of battle provided all those years ago. Nevertheless, they would continue scanning until a decisive answer was reached

ooc: Lets give the station a break for the moment, not to mention that there is giant security force in the area due to the last incounter.
And in the future could we keep the ooc comments to the ooc thread, it is hard enough at times to keep up with what in going plus keep track of the ooc comments.

Natalie nodded, "I understand that your State cares for your needs and that it helps get over the worst, but execution will never happen in Alversia and that is the way I want it to stay. That is the way Alex and the Army want it to stay" She returned to work for a moment before asking "have you met Alex yet?"

At the cells, the two Mercenaries were thrown into a larger one. Because of the Alversian attitude to prisoners, they were well fed and given large amounts of magazines and other things to keep them occupied.They were also protected by two elite Alversian Guards to ensure they wouldn't escape. You needed more than fancy sword skills to beat these blokes.


It didn't take long for word of the arrest to make it to Jason. This could not have been any more then everything else that had Jason demanded that the Alversian Captain meet with him at once to disscuss the situation.

"Well, we'd hate for you to transport us to a prison ship too, so here it is: Many years ago, on our ship at the time, an old frigate called Nightshade, we found the Star Snake, a floating derlict. Apart from it's AI being dead and none of it's life support systems working, it was fine. Just some paint, a little mantanence, a new AI, and it would be in workable condition again. We found it in the Soldard system. We towed it back to an Xiscapian port and repaired it. We sold Nightshade, which fetched just enough to outfit the Star Snake with new systems and AI and whatnot. Origanally, it only had those duel cannons and the EMP lancher, but we added the others over the years. And that's it. We didn't look a gift space slug in the mouth."

It didn't take long for word of the arrest to make it to Jason. This could not have been any more then everything else that had Jason demanded that the Alversian Captain meet with him at once to disscuss the situation.

He nodded, but he sensed that something was being witheld by these two. He could sense it in their body language and in their eyes, "And were any of the crew on the ship?" he asked before being given an abrupt message by the Security team

The Captain was forced to make his apologies to his prisoners and bid them a good night before walking up to meet with the Head of Security "You requested my presence?" he asked the Chief

The Captain returned to the cell, leaving a lieutenant to meet the Chief, he again entered with a guard and asked "I hope you are comfortable? As I was saying Are you sure there were no crewmembers aboad when the ship was found? apparently it is of Xiscapian descent"

"Yes, it took to the AI quite well, most unXiscapian ships don't take kindly to Xiscapian AI. Anyway, we did find a body, it was vaugly huminoid, but it was burned beyond any identification we could do. We just let it float out an open hatch. Other then that, there was no signs that the ships had been lived in."

"I see" he sat back for a moment to observe their movements before saying, "very well" that is all for now but I shall be back" and with that, he left with his Guards. "Something's not right there" he said to one of them "Watch 'em"

As such you do not have the authority to do what ever you please, those that you arrested have broken no laws" Jason a took a moment to adjust his posture and his tone. "I understand your postion here, if the situation was reversed I do the same as you. However, there are rules and procedure that need to be followed. I will for the time being allow to to keep your prisoners in your possesion, but you will not be allowed to leave the station. If you wish to argue that matter, then is the whole situation of saboatoge that a member of crew commit." He was reffering the disabling of the ship that had trapped the Xiscapia crew here in the first place. "If you don't like I would suggest that you take the matter up with Embassador Ismata, she is due to arrive in a few hours."

Skyler and Kartosh got as far away from the guards as they could, which, in their tiny cell, wasn't much. "Will they just finish the questioning and let us out of this goddamn cell!?!" wispeared Skyler to Kartosh, who was watching the guards. "It's a tactic. He's trying to wear us down by leaving every few minutes to leave us wondering what's going to happen to us. He thinks we might know something more. I daresay he's got this cell bugged and is listening to our conversation even now. All we can do is wait until he is satisfied we know nothing more."

IC: The Gareen with the prisoner and the guard tapped on Jason's door.

They had made it fresh from Dr. Tot's alternitive and delightfully horrifying information gathering session.

OOC: Don't forget about that, I did post sending them back. As I said, I will not make up details about your attack.

As the two females had begun speaking, he had sat down on his haunches to await his naming. It was often the way of females to take time to make decisions he'd found. He did not understand thier need for time but they held that need and such was simply the way of things.

Bay 2

A couple Kythons emerged from The Sagan carrying a load of equipment destined for the Balrogga Embassy. This time they were stopped by a large number of guards blocking the doorway. The confused insectoids scurried back aboard the ship. A minute later one of Anthony’s embassy staff came out of the ship and approached the guards.

“Um, excuse me. I am C'Arl, the assistant to Ambassador Stark. Is there a problem? Is our ship safe where it is? What is going on?”

Jason threw down a data pad on his desk then rose to his feet. "Just what are you think that you are doing here." Demanded Jason in a menacing but firm tone. "Commander" the Alversian replied in an equally menacing and firm tone, "I understand that you are irritated by the arrest of these Mercenaries but you must realise that their ship took part in one of the greatest atrocities to have befallen Alversia. Destroying 2 refugee ships and killing thousands is more than enough warrant for me. I wanted information and I have it, the prisoners will be realised soon and as for being a Tappee space station, it is also an international space station and must be allowed to be used for international affairs. I'm sorry for inconvenince that my men have caused and we will withdraw as soon as your teams can retake their positions" He turned and left.

At the cell, the Captain re-entered without a guard and said "I am now satisfied that you have provided all the information that you have available and you are now free to go. I am sorry to have caused you so much trouble over this past day or so. Unfortunatly I must ask you to stay on the station for a little while longer until a full analysis of you ship can be completed. Stop by the desk on your way out and your weapons will be returned. Good Day" He left the cell and was back a few seconds later "Sorry about the conditions by the way" He said indicating at the cell "We had no hand in building this and it was the biggest we could find at short notice" and he was gone again, giving a military salute.

"Told you." Kartosh wispeared to Skyler as they made their way out the door. "We aren't leaving just yet." said Skyler "I still intend to get my R&R, even if it kills me." They stopped by the desk and got their pistols back, then rented a room. That had been exciting, to say the least. thought Katosh as he his arm around Skyler as they walked down the hall. "I don't even want to think of what they've done to the Star Snake." Skyler said sadly. "Well, we'll have them pay for any damages." said Kartosh, and they sat down in a little off-to-the-side resturaunt to eat their first meal since coming on to this station.

The two Alversian Engineers ripped away another panel, in an attempt to find a record of the battle. They hadn't found everything yet but they would keep looking until the ship was completely searched and approved. It wouldn't take that long.
Meanwhile, the Alversians offered to pay for the Xiscapian's room for the duration of their stay. An apology offer, so to speak.

Katosh's datapad pinged and he read the message. The Alversians were offering to pay for their room. Kartosh sighed. In the old days, he would have refused, he wouldn't have taken charity from anyone. But these days credits were scarce and a good room was even scarcer, so he responded saying that he would be gratified if they would. However, he typed, if there is any damage done to any of the Star Snake's systems he would expect that they would be repaired or replaced.

"when do get to see this girl"ask Sky
"later today Sky now please go back to the room and rest"said Wolf
"ok"said Sky then kissed him on the lips and leaves for the room

In Bay 2:


C’Arl continued to wait for the guards to answer her. She noticed a buzz of activity aboard a small craft sharing the landing bay with The Sagan nearby. She turned back to the guards and asked again.

“What is the holdup?”





Sickbay:


Anthony arrived in Sickbay just ahead of the two Aids he requested to meet him there.

“Can someone please tell Doctor Tot I am here to see him?”

"Well, I'm not entirely certain what i can do for a Ta'nar, but The Aquamarinians know Psionic Medicene, I'm sure they can help, let me go fetch one." He said. He stood up and prepared to go fetch one.

The Captain smiled, it was standard Alversian policy to pay for any and all damage inflicted by their armed forces, it was just the polite thing to do

OOC: I still have a few soldiers on the station but they are not in the bay. They are supervising the main station and cellblock only.

Kartosh walked along the hall towards loading bay 2. Skyler was back at the room, sleeping. Kartosh entered the loading bay. A large ship which hadn't been there when they docked, and...
His ship.
"My ship!" he shouted, running towards it. The Star Snake was in pieces. Armor panels ripped off, wiring and computor systems scattered all over the floor, one of the engines was missing...It looked as though it was a ship being scavenged for any useful electronics before being sent to the scrap heap to be melted down. Two Alversian technitions peeked out from the doorway of the ravanged ship, then took off, their hands full of stolen electronics. Kartosh unholstered his pistol and gave chase though the winding hallways. Suddenly he was on the floor with a pain blossoming in his jaw. Several Alversian Marines stood over him, having walked out and slammed their fists into his jaw. Kartosh sprang up. "Those guys, they destroyed my ship, do something-" he was cut off as the Marines took out their assualt rifles. Kartosh slipped in though an open doorway just as they opened fire, the laser bolts flying past the spot where he had been seconds ago. Kartosh felt his fury grow. First they lock me up, then they destroy my ship and steal it's electronics, and now their shooting at me!?! He unholstered his pistol and was just about to fire back when someone grabbed him from behind, their hand clentched over his mouth.
OOC: I need someone to RP the person behind him, for whatever reason.

OOC: I'll do it, seeing as my Marines have fired for no reason, which they don't do under ANY circumstances

It was the Alversian Captain. He told the Xiscapian to be quiet and gave him an Alversian Blaster rifle. "Those troops aren't Alversian" he said as the men advanced "They have stolen uniforms from off duty Marines and are trying to escape on our ships. I think they are Hadrian's Shield" He turned the corner and let loose a volley of fire which sent two Thugs flying into the wall behind. I think they are after Xiscapian technology for whatever reason and this is the best time to get" He shook his head sadly "I'm sorry that you have dragged into this Comrade, but the last of these Thugs must be killed! I have reinforcements on the way but they will take some time to arrive"

"We are not here as patients, you asked me to send two assistants here to assist you. This is Gla'Xxo and Fi'Zer. They are both skilled in medicine and are willing to provide assistance whenever you need it."

Also, it was never posted that the guards were withdrawn from the hanger, just that they were captured. If I had technitions going through a ship I would have them under guard in case the owners has friends helping them..

It may be an ancient weapon, but you'll see how deadly it can be."

The Captain smiled and handed the sword over to Kartosh. He leant round the corner and fired again, hitting two Thugs. The rest were running after the Tech and so the two followed them.
Several levels up, the dozen Alversian Marines were dashing trying to get to the Captain's position...

The soldiers in Bay 2 looked at the woman standing before them and one stepped forward.

“I don’t care who the frack you are. Get the hell out of our way. On second thought…”

Suddenly his weapon was pointed in her face.

“I think you might be doing us a favor. We are going to take possession of your ship. It looks good enough to get us off the station and I don’t think you are going to argue any, little miss. We might even have a little fun later on during the trip.”

C’Arl looked at the trooper with innocent eyes.

“You would not want to do that, mister.”

“Why the hell not, little girlie.”

“Because I will have to stop you.”

At that, all ten guards began to laugh

Wolf waits in the Isan bay for a dropship to land with 16 year old on it
"there it is sir"said someone to Wolf
"yes indeed"said Wolf as he watch the dropship cames in to land and a group of Shortsword Fighters fly past

Anthony stepped foraward.

"We are not here as patients, you asked me to send two assistants here to assist you. This is Gla'Xxo and Fi'Zer. They are both skilled in medicine and are willing to provide assistance whenever you need it."

"You do remember asking me when we first met in Hanger 2, right?"

"I was hopping that was the case. I wasn't too sure how quickly the Aquamarinians could download the entire library of Psionic medicene from their hive-mind into their personal minds.

Well then, Welcome, Welcome. Glasgow and Fizzy? No, no, that wasn't it, ahh, Gla'Xxo and Fi'zer, that sounds right. Go ahead and look around, get set up. Nevermind the large variety of plants and creatures, I practice nearly every form of Eastren and Westren Medicene. I just don't have any skill in Psionics, so, that kind of limits the psychiatry and other Mental Medicene I can effectivly do. I think I'll send them off to assist The engineers. Any questions? Also, what's your degree of medical skill, fully qualified docter, Nurse, what?" Dr. Tot asked.

Sick bay:


Gla'Xxo spoke up first.

"We do not use such distinctions in our society. If we were to compare our skills to what others use, you could consider us specilist somewhere above doctor status if there is such a thing."

Fi'Zer spoke next, adding her comments.

Of course, it is only in psionic skills, your form of medicine is unnecessary to us. We stimulate the body itself to heal instead of relying on third party influences to get the job done. We also work on the mind too, as you can guess. There are some who do dabble in material healing but we have none along with us, we were included in the Embassy Staff just in case we were needed for the staff or Anthony himself.




Bay 2:


A guard went flying past the startled soldier to slam against the wall and slump to the floor next to the dazed leader. The seemingly harmless “girl” looked at the others who were still standing there wondering if they should fire on her or to save their hides. One of them turned to look at the door as it slid shut and the command pad wend dark, powerless.

“Shit Durges, she sealed the door.”

“How the hell could she do that, she is standing way over there?”

“Probably the same way she tossed Axel and Colin headfirst into the wall without touching them.”

“Kill the bitch before the little monster tries that with us.”

While this was going on, C’Arl was telling the Kythons to stay aboard The Sagan. If they came out, there would be too much damage to the bay. Kythons in combat mode are not pretty. She turned her attention back to the eight remaining false soldiers. She could tell they were part of the Thugg invasion from before due to their complete lack of proper military command. That meant she could do with them as she wished.

C’Arl chuckled with her tiny little voice. It sounded out of place in the large space of the landing bay.

“You are not able to resist. I suggest you surrender now before I get angry and do something I might regret. Or rather, you might regret.”

Kartosh and the Alversian captain ran along the wallway, chasing the two techs. Suddenly they entered an ambush. At a hallway with tow doors opposite each other Thugs jumped out, assualting them with rifles, pistols, and shotguns. Kartosh instructed the captain to keep back, then charged in with his katana sword. He ran though, cutting off a thugs head, then running another through with his blade. The other thugs turned and fired their weapons, but Kartosh, with grace and skill unknown to any human, avoided the shots and brutally sliced though his opponets, severing limbs as he went. In little time the floor was covered in Thug bodies and slippery with their blood. Far off Kartosh could hear the techs running. He and the captain gave chase once again until they came to docking bay 4. A large, black ugly ships sat there, surronded by thugs. The thugs gave covering fire as the ship lifted off. "Get away!" yelled Kartosh to the captain, and he shoved him though into the command center and sealed the door behind him. They bay forcefield lifted and the ship flew out into space, followed by the Thugs, who had died the moment the forcefield lifted. Kartosh looked at the captain. "Radio your Navy. Tell them to try to board the ship. We can't let that ship or those parts escape."

The Alversian Marines burst into Bay 2, guns loaded and ready. "By order of the Alversian Army you are..." One began, but he was interupted by a peculiar sight in front of him. Three or Four of the Thugs were on their backs and the others had thrown down their guns and surrendared to a little girl.

Confused, the Corporal ordered his troops to lead them away before going over and asking the little girl "Are you alright? What happened here?"

Futher away, in Bay 9, the Captain, slightly unsteady after the killing session moments before, nodded and began to radio to the fleet. Immediately two XX-40 fighters swooped down and demanded surrendar. The Thug's ship headed for the nearest cruiser. The Captain turned to Kartosh and said "I cannot apologise enough for what has happened here today. The parts will be returned shortly and a genuine Alversian Crew can help you assemble it." He awaited the Xiscapian's response

In little time the floor was covered in Thug bodies and slippery with their blood. Far off Kartosh could hear the techs running. He and the captain gave chase once again until they came to docking bay 4. A large, black ugly ships sat there, surronded by thugs. The thugs gave covering fire as the ship lifted off. "Get away!" yelled Kartosh to the captain, and he shoved him though into the command center and sealed the door behind him. They bay forcefield lifted and the ship flew out into space, followed by the Thugs, who had died the moment the forcefield lifted. Kartosh looked at the captain. "Radio your Navy. Tell them to try to board the ship. We can't let that ship or those parts escape."

The Jormangundr, a Ri-anese warhsip dropped out of Transwarp. Normally warhships weren't anything special to look at, but the Jormangundr, it was hard to miss what looked like a Giant sea Snake moving through space.

"This is The Jormangundr requesting permission to beam aboard one Deuce Ri-an, The Lady's son himself." Came the transmission.

Deuce was Lady Ri-an's son, which technicly made him the crown prince of Ri-an. Everyone knew this, that knew about Ri-an. he never rode a Warship unless he was worried about something. In this case, his mother had mysteriously disappeared without word or explanation. So, he was going everywhere he could think of, searching high and low for her. It was easy to understand then why he would ride a Warship.

The Alversian Marines burst into Bay 2, guns loaded and ready. "By order of the Alversian Army you are..." One began, but he was interupted by a peculiar sight in front of him. Three or Four of the Thugs were on their backs and the others had thrown down their guns and surrendared to a little girl.

Confused, the Corporal ordered his troops to lead them away before going over and asking the little girl "Are you alright? What happened here?"

"Awww, you came too soon. I was having fun with my new friends. We were playing Toss Em right before you arrived. I figured since they were playing Dress Up and Army I could play with them too. Can you bring them back and play again? It gets awfully board here..."

C'Arl watched the Thuggs being taken away and once they were out of earshot her demeanor completely changed.

"There, now you can tell them you are going to let me come over and 'play' with them if they don't cooperate. I made like I was a child so it would terrorize them more while I telekinetically tossed them around. Check out the security cams if you want a laugh, it should be good entertainment and a reason for them not to return again."

C'Arl hesitated a moment looking at his confused expression.

"Oh, I am sorry, in the excitement I forgot to introduce myself. My name is C'Arl, I'm the Ambassador's assistant and despite my appearance, I am probably much older than anyone else aboard this station."

In Bay 2, The Alversian Corporal stared at C'Arl in amazement before coming to his senses and saluting "Yes Sir!" and with that he followed his troops out to the cells.

Dan finally awoke the next day "What time is it?" he asked him self, but a nice computer just likes to answer "It is 06:02 hours" it said. Dan got out of his bed and got something to eat for breakfest. He sat there for about 20 minutes eating before going for a shower.

Freauo walked down a corridor, and saw a man.

"It's all over! I suggest you put that gun away!"he said

"Very well" he replied

He ran back to his spaceship, put the gun away, and picked up his advance payment, in a suitcase, and ran as fast as he could to the bar.

When we reached the bar, he apoligised for his lateness, and said:

"I have the advance money here" Freauo opened a case of money, with a a lot of wads in it.

During the 2nd Danaversian War, the Danaversians realised that the reason for the string of defeats they were suffering was due to the lack of equipment and training that their army possessed in comparison to the Highy disciplined Alversian Army. So, in desperation, they began to recruit as many mercenaries as they could find, Pirates, Soldiers, Smugglers, Pilots any profession was welcome for a price.

The Alversians realised that this new amry posed a threat to their dominance in the area and so they moved to destroy it quickly. The battleground was the 3rd moon of Merconia, a planet in the Alversian system. The battle was fierce and bloody and many Alversian troops lost their lives to underhand Mecenary tactics. In the end, Alversia's use of heavy armour and artillery won the day as the Mercenaies had only what they brought with them.

The story was the same in space. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the Alversian Dreadnoughts and Super-Dreadnoughts were able to pound the Smuggler/Pirate Fleet as it consisted of nothing bigger than a Cruiser. Eventually the fleet withdrew and the Mercenary Army surrendared. The Alversians continued to pursue and attempt to capture all those who had fled the battle, long after the war ended.

By the events of PaX Pacis, 85% of those who had fled were in Alversian custody but a few remained free in the galaxy, in hiding...

There was a fourth unseen unfelt person watching the three unobtrusivly.

No, it wasn't Dr. Tot, it wasn't an aquamarinian or a Gareen.

this man was indestinguishable from the rest of the crowd he was in, perfectly blended in the crowd sitting all around. He appeared to be engaged in a discussion with someone, not even paying attention to manu and Freauo or Cavourna. It was niether obvious that he was observing them, nor was it obvious that he was making it appear as though it were not so.

However, this man had a vested intrest in Manu's future, and would kill to protect him. He noticed Cavourna seemed to be paying undue attention to Manu, as though he were ready to kill him or imprison him for something in the past.

He was watching, and if Cavourna attempted something, he would find a poison tipped Shuriken in his side quickly.

Of course, nobody yet knew, this man was Nightstalker, and he wanted to make manu his apprentice.

"Thanks for meeting us here." said Kartosh, warmly extending his hand. Him, Syler, and 3 others were assembled around a table in a lonely little pub, well of the beaten track in the station. The people around the table were these: Ranth, a old pirate who had been around since before Kartosh was born and had seen much. Folerguard, an armor-encased man who was a very good spy who's services were avalible to the highest bidder. And Keelra, a young, charming women, who would not have looked out of place by a rich man's side, except that she was a ruthless assassin. Their ships, the Dart, (Folerguard's) the Gravity, (Keelra's) and the Dagger, which was Ranth's ship, a stolen Cruiser from some long dead alien world, crewed by 6 pirates. "So what have you brought us around for, eh Kartosh?" growled Ranth, ignoring Kartosh's extended hand and shifting in his seat, setting down his drink. "It wasn't for a friendly reunion, I daresay!" he laughed loudly and downed his beer in a single gulp. Ranth could drink more then anyone Kartosh had ever met. "Yes, get to the point." said Folerguard, his voice sounding mechanical though his light gray helmet. "I have buissiness to attend to." "Alright." said Kartosh, "here it is." he gave a whistle and 12 heavly armed and armored Alversians jumped out, their blaster rifles draw, pointing towards the cutthroat crew. Folerguard had his blaster halfway drawn but sat down when three blaster rifles were pointed at his face. "Quite a friendly reunion." said Keelra softly, speaing for the first time, casting her eyes around at the Marines. "Sided with the Alversians now, have you?" "Indeed." said Kartosh, still smiling. "You see, there are some debts that you bunch haven't paid. Remember Merconia?" If this affected any of the three, they didn't show it. Suddenly an explosion ripped though the room, scattering the few customers who were left. Smoke clouded the room and blaster, plazma, and good old gunfire streaked though the room. When the smoke cleared all Ranth and Folerguard were dead, charred with blaster fire. Three Marines were splayed on the floor, dead, and a forth lay against a table, clutching his plazma-burnt side. There was a burst of blaster fire and a thud, and Kartosh saw Keela escape though the pubs door. One of the Marines spoke into his radio. "Close off Docking Bay 2, impound three ships, numbers 6280094, 9983340 and 223567. We've got a runner, attempt to capture, kill if neccissary. Discription is female, about 5,8, with blonde hair, wearing street clothes with light armor. Suspect is armed, arrest on-sight."

The Jormangunder opened its Jaws, because that's where a Docking bay was, it was also where the Main gun was. The Mouth's purpose could be changed.

Great Tritanium teeth with remarkably pointy ends extended. The docking bay remained closed. The Jormangundr could go really fast, and was only idling. It shot out with remarkable speed, as the Missle hit the Shuttle. It struck with Lightning fast quickness and precision, The Jaws clamping down on the shuttle. The Lips closed, sealing the Shuttle in, an Anti teleportation field was set up to prevent prisoner escape.

Several Alversian Marines took up positions around the Ri-anese ship and also in the rafters and on the platforms. The Shuttle was dropped onto the Bay floor. A door opened. Every Alversian readied his rifle. Keela staggered out and attempted to fire her weapon but was hit by a stun dart and knocked out. The Alversians picked her up and carted her towards the cells. Captain Thalin turned to Wolf and the Ri-anese Captain "Thank you for your help here. This is a dangerous criminal and we owe you one" He turned and followed his men towards the cells.

"No problem." He said. His hair was combed nicely, and he had on a nice business suit. He wore a pair of Black leather shoes. not at all like his former Disco self. The Merge had been good for Deuce.

He turned to the captain of the ship.

"Go ahead and leave. I'll call for a ride when I'm ready to go." He said.

The Captain waved a tenticle. The Jormangundr left the sector, headed back to Ri-an.

"So, any of you seen mother? She left suddenly without word or explaination and we can't find her. Either she's been kidnapped, or she's in disguise and on vacation hiding from her regularly scheduled duties." Deuce said.

OOC: she's not on the station, its a refrence to an ITH thread I got going on. But ICLy, this is as likely a place as any to look for her. He's going to look all over the place, then leave.

IC: Kartosh and Skyler entered Docking Bay 2. Ranth's Cruiser, which was really the size of an overlarge frigate, sat there, big, green, and ugly. Kartosh and Skyler boarded the ship and Skyler nearly got her head taken off by a plazma shot. "The crew must still be on board." said Skyler as she and Kartosh crouched behind some boxs, looking around warily for the pirates. Kartosh spotted one peeking around a overturned table and shot him in the face with his rifle. The pirate feel back, his face a burned, smoking mess. Kartosh and Skyler made their way though the few short hallways to the bridge, were they encontered two more pirates. Kartosh kept them busy while Skyler crept around behind and dismembered them with her sword. The three other pirates attempted to flee, but Kartosh shot one in the back, and the other two soon ran into Isan troops, were they surrendered and were arrested. Kartosh and Skyler checked the other two ships, but aside from a turret or two, no defenses were on the other two ships, nor crew of any kind aside from an aging droid slumped in the corner, offline.

A column of Alversian Marines went out to the two ships. They were protecting the Engineers who would search the ships to check if they had been involved at Merconia. If they had, then Keela faced a very long time in an Alversian Prison. They still hadn't forgotten Merconia and thanks to the Xiscapian Mercenaries, the spirits of some of those killed could finally be put to rest. Keela was to be interrogated upon awakening and handed over to the Guards. She would will the Prison Term to arrive before the Guards were finised with her. They hadn't forgotten Merconia either

Captain Thalin saluted the two Guards standing at the door and was saluted in turn. He entered the cell where Keela was coming out of her trance. It was onyl temporary and so the interrogation could begin

"For the record, Miss Keela" He began, his voice cold and the hate barely hidden from his eyes "please state your name, planet of birth, species and occupation" he had a voice recorder with him to catch the entire thing...

During the 2nd Danaversian War, the Danaversians realised that the reason for the string of defeats they were suffering was due to the lack of equipment and training that their army possessed in comparison to the Highy disciplined Alversian Army. So, in desperation, they began to recruit as many mercenaries as they could find, Pirates, Soldiers, Smugglers, Pilots any profession was welcome for a price.

The Alversians realised that this new amry posed a threat to their dominance in the area and so they moved to destroy it quickly. The battleground was the 3rd moon of Merconia, a planet in the Alversian system. The battle was fierce and bloody and many Alversian troops lost their lives to underhand Mecenary tactics. In the end, Alversia's use of heavy armour and artillery won the day as the Mercenaies had only what they brought with them.

The story was the same in space. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the Alversian Dreadnoughts and Super-Dreadnoughts were able to pound the Smuggler/Pirate Fleet as it consisted of nothing bigger than a Cruiser. Eventually the fleet withdrew and the Mercenary Army surrendared. The Alversians continued to pursue and attempt to capture all those who had fled the battle, long after the war ended.

By the events of PaX Pacis, 85% of those who had fled were in Alversian custody but a few remained free in the galaxy, in hiding...

He will be detained for the night and questioned tomorrow. We will need a statement so please come down to the cells and meet with my Captain who will interrogate him" The Officer saluted and left.

At the Cell Block, Natalie ran past an irritated Freauo and Captain Thalin and went over to the Cell holding Cavourna, he was fast asleep and she felt so sorry for him

Dan looked over her shoulder the place was a mess "move aside" he told her, he then walked in and looked aroud "mind explaining all this" he asked "um we just moved" she said "just moved means boxes, not destroyed funature" he said as he turned a corner seeing the body of a man. He pulled his gun and turned around "Hands in the air now!" he yelled at her, insted she ran "son of a" he ran after her, lucky he was faster and quickly caught up and took her down "your under arrest for murder"he said cuffing her.

Deuce had finished off his drink, when he turned to get up and go call for a ride to leave.

That's when he saw her. A beautiful woman coming towards him. He saw beautiful women all the time, but this one, she seemed diffrent.

He went over and introduced himself. They sat down and started talking, oblivous to all outside forces. Someone could've fired off a 20 gun salute next to them and they probably wouldn't have noticed.

Deuce got up and looked at the schedules for the Ri-anese trading fleet. They were due to arrive, yesterday infact. they were behind? that was unheard of. He was about to organise a search when he looked at a port window, and saw a single ship of the fleet arrive.

A single ship? They never seperated, what happened that would do this to an innocent unnarmed civilian fleet. Any and all ships could see this ship was badly damaged, and about to rattle itself to pieces. It looked like a warship from somewhere decided to beat up on it for no good reason.

Its communications were down. the Aquamarinians onboard couldn't even establish a Psionic connection with the five onboard the station.

It just sort of hung there, in the hopes that someone would realise it very much wanted to dock and get a hand with repairs so it could go after the rest of its fleet.

It also had a load of supplies to drop off Captain Victor had sent a list off for.

Deuce returned to his new girlfriend in shock. Her name was Sara Macbeth Luck. He could've cracked a joke about her being Lady Luck, but he decided not to.

Both of them went to try and find help for the ship.

OOC: Actually it was a very severe case of badluck, as the major Characters are about to find out. I'll share details of it later, its just a wee little sidestory I thought up, not strong enough to be its own thread, intresting enough to be told.

OOC: That's all well and good, but part of the problem is, it does not have any form of external communication, how am I supposed to know that? No Psionics, Engines are failing, the IGTDCN array is down. though I suppose I could just dock and clear it up later.

IC: the Ship limped over slowly to a Dock. It did its level best to dock, but failed miserably the first few times. then finally on the fourth or fifth time, it succeeded.

Down at the dock, Crates of ordered supplies are wheeled out. the two Admirals step out with it. After the supplies are checked and signed for, remarkably still intact, the Admirals turn their attentions to repairs, as does the rest of the Crew.

Secret IC:

As the Cargo was unloaded, two other beings stepped off. One a Man, one a Woman, both dressed Impeccably. Yet, they cannot be seen, or detected. These two were Spirits of Bad Luck. They were the two most famous. Sir Prize and Miss Forturne.

They walked through the walls and looked at the station. Nothing happened, yet.

OOC: No one, except Balrogga, can detect them. Dr. tot can't because he's not normally attuned to the Spirit world. Most Technology won't find them, and despite all of Wolf's powers and those of his mates, The Spirits of bad luck are just beyond their sensing. Bal can, just because of the way Ta'nar see, and i'm sure he knows why that is.

Except for one thing. Atorbǽrecristalla was just a random planet name that had worked it's way into his head. He didn't think what the planet acctually was. Then he remembered. It was a closely guarded secret. The planet was a poisonous wasteland, where the lucky died, and the unlucky didn't. All he could do was hope he didn't understand what it ment in the Hefonfian tounge.

"Me and Manu were talking, when he came and sat down next to us. He asked Manu a question during our convosation. He started questioning him on a thing called the Merconia Incident. Now, you'll have a better idea of what that is. Anyway, I interupted when he got increasingly agressive in his questioning, and he got out a pistol, and held it to my head, and shouted at me that this wasn't my business, and if I didn't shut up he'd shoot me. I quietened down for a moment, on the edge of my temper. Then after Manu said something, he started shouting, saying that Manu was under arrest under Mandate 64 or something. Then I told him to shut up himself, then he fell down willm tranquilisers in his back. And that brings us to now."

SIC: Miss Fortune and Sir Prize waltzed into the room via the walls. They played with the lights, the shields in the holding cells, and the computers, making them all mess up in a minor unimportant but very irritating way. There would be no sign or trace of interference from an outside source, just, a bit of bad luck.

Cavourna started and then crashed into the bar, spilling drinks and glasses all over the surface. There were two Stun Darts in his neck. Behind him were three Alversian Marines, led by a Sergeant. He nodded and one of the Marines kicked the pistol out of reach. He indicated at Cavourna and the two others lifted him up and carried him out of the bar. The Seargeant put his gun away, saluted Manu and Freauo and said
"I can only apologise for what happened here now. The actions of Flight Lieutenant Cavourna were unexceptable and we accept full responsibility for this outburst. He will be detained for the night and questioned tomorrow. We will need a statement so please come down to the cells and meet with my Captain who will interrogate him" The Officer saluted and left.

Staring at Keela, Thalin nodded then turned to leave the cell "Justice has been done" he said "The dead at Merconia have been avenged. Goodnight Comrade" and with that, he left Kartosh with Keela in the cell, door wide open.


Manu went with the Alversians too the cells for questioning. As he exited the bar he noticed a man with a staff, he could just barely make out a Lotus flower. Suddenly remembering his impending glory... or death, he felt a little queasy.

Miss Fortune and Sir Prize noticed Manu. the two spirits of Bad Luck looked for something intresting in his pockets to take and hide somewhere he wouldn't find for at least three days. failing that they looked for some machine to interfere with and make fail.

If nothing else, they would make him misstep and fall flat on his face.

regardless of what happened, there would be no trace of interference, it would just look like a bit of bad luck is all. Not that there was any such thing of course, right?

Manu suddenly tripped over somthing. He fell flat on his face. When he got up, he looked around to see what he had tripped over, he couldn't see anything in particular. He was so embarrassed he just ignored the others stares and inquiries into his well-being.

OOC: You think its bad now, just wait for a few IC days, when the sudden run of Bad Luck has noticably interfered with station life. Once people talk to each other and put two and two together, a machine to detect them can easily be built, provided Bal hasn't hunted them down first, and provided it hasn't been long enough everything electronic has gone useless.

This entire thing with Miss Fortune and Sir Prize has been inspired by Voltaire's When Your Evil.

IC: Miss Fortune and Sir Prize went to the Medbay. the Plants began to droop and look rather unhealthy. databases suddenly became rearranged, as somehow, Captain Victor suddenly became listed as pregnant, with Ella as the Father. Dr. Tot muttered something negative under his breath that really should not be repeated ever under any circumstances and tried to fix the Medical database quickly before anyone noticed what happened. While he was doing that, Sir Prize toyed with all the Medical Implements while Miss Fortune interrupted the Psionic Collars keeping The Gareens from going on a Bloody Rampage. As The Aquamarinians fought to control the gareens Dr. tot Finished with the Database and called down to engineering to see what the heck had happened.

Sir Prize and Miss Fortune left and went to the bars and made all the beer go flat. One guy who was about to start in on a fresh draft began to cry. He had had a really hard day.

It was some time later after several trips between the Embassy and The Sagan when their job was finally done. All the supplies were offloaded and finishing touches were just now getting done. The Embassy was ready for business.

There were separate rooms for different functions and some black lusterless metal covered the walls, ceiling, and floor. The suite even had it’s own back-up power supply, a Space Minus Powertap which is what usually ran the Imperial ships while engaging in combat maneuvers. The Embassy was fully equipped with replicators that ran off the internal power supply and there was a Space Minus Transmitter allowing instantaneous communication with the rest of the Balrogga Empire. Even though it sounded like it, the two units were separate devices and carefully stowed away so they were not apparent. The only clue to the generator’s existence being the Embassy seemed to not draw any of the domestic power supply.

The rooms were richly decorated using the Gold and White Imperial colors. Thick red throw rung littered the floors.

The place was set up with the foyer containing comfortable seating so any visitors could wait in comfort for their presence to be announced. There was a rumor traveling through the station the telepathic abilities could be purchased to verify business dealings (just like in Bab5). The Embassy did nothing to banish these rumors.

I went in.... and uh... smooth talked it outa him. I was in and out in less that an hour, long before you Alversians showed up to lay a whoopin on them! I have proof if you need it." Manu said.

"Oh... well that would be Dell Felusian, a rather.... a rather foul fellow. He gave me a bit of trouble when I went to get her back. Had to scrub the "Jewel" for a week to get his stench out." Manu said with a small look of disgust.

Christopher Malvourn's ship came out of hyperspace near the station. After docking the sinister criminal stepped down from his ship with his two handpicked personal bodyguards.

"Now let us go and find that cheat, manu" He said in his deep voice too his body Guards "He's gonna pay, in more than money for the price of that ship!"

On either side his bodyguards chuckled stupidly and cracked their knuckles.

"Mr. Manu" Thalin began, "I need to know any other aliases that he uses and I need to know where he could possibly be. This man is a wanted criminal and is therefore wanted by the Alversian Authourities. If you do that, I'll forget the smuggling charges against the Jewel that have come in over the last six monthis or so" Thalin finished slyly, awaiting a response.

Further down, in the cell block, Cavourna woke with a start. He held his head for moment before turning, confused to the dozing Natalie "Where the hell am I?"

"Well... I don't know of any other aliases. Last I heard though he had himself a fortress out on Ferella. I personally have no connection with him, other than the fact that he stole my ship and I had to... take it back. If I were you I'd search Ferella. It's a Completely frozen moon orbiting The Sith Clan Empires Capital Planet, Korribanium. No one lives there so if you see a settlement, it's most likely him." Manu said.

Thalin nodded, "Thank you for your co-operation in this matter Mr. Manu. We shall investigate this moon. With the full permission of the Sith Clanese Empire naturally"

Cavourna, realised from the cell and updated by Natalie on the previous few hours events, walked up to Manu and said "I'd like a word. If I may?" He seemed rather embarressed and awkward

The Brute followed her, duties forgotten. She lured him into an empty room and into the waiting fist of a Guardsman. The door shut, one down one to go.

Malvourn did not notice his Brute's missing. He went into the toilet while the other Brute stood outside. Upon a nod from Cavourna, Federson and the two Marines walked slowly past the Brute. Federson quickly injected the Brute with tranquillisors and pushed him into a box that the Marines were now carring. The little group vanshed into the crowd.

Cavourna waited until they were gone before standing beside the Toilet. He was wearing normal clothes, having changed out of his uniform. He was also carrying his auto-shotgun. Malvourn came out and noticed that Cavourna was standing there instead of his Brutes. Althiough panicking at first, he turned to Cavourna, lounging beside the toilet and smoking a cigeratte.

"Where are my Guards!?!" Malvourn asked Cavourna in a panicking way. Cavourna acted totally cool and said calmly "I heard them saying they were going to the bar. After Chris turned the corner, Freauo started running as fast as he could, turning right, and left, and coming to the point of capture with half a miniute to spare. He hid behind a pipe. He checked everything was there. Everything was. The crate, the rope, the cloth...

He saw the man run down the corridor, getting closer and closer. When the time was right, that evil man would know it.

The time was right. Freauo leaped from his hiding place onto Chris, knocking both of them over. Chris fired his gun, making a big bang, but hitting nothing. Freauo tried to snatch the pistol off him. Chris fired it at the right moment, sending a bullet straight though Freauo's hand. Ignoring the pain, Freauo continued to get the pistol. He fired another bullet, grazing Freauo's head. Still bleeding, Freauo opened his mouth and bit his wrist. Chris screamed, and fired the gun again, twice, at his mouth and his arm. Still just bearing the pain, Freauo took the gun off him, and hit him on the head, repeatedly, trying to knock him out. He grabbed the pistol with his free hand, and pistolwhipped Chris, knocking him out for good.

Still bleeding, he grabbed the rope, tied up Chris' hands and legs, then wrapped him in the cloth, making him resemble a mummy. After tieing up that, he put Chris in the crate. Using spare cloth, he used makeshift bandages, cleaning up his hand, his arm, and his mouth. Still bleeding a good amount, he lifted the crate on a carrier, and started pushing it toward his ship.

As he go closer and closer, his head became lighter. The cart became harder and harder to push. He got many looks from passers by, which he ignored. He began to get dizzy. As the ship came into sight, this began to become unbearable. He said to a passer by "Could you take...this... to, sorry, on...my ship, please"

As the passer by did as he requested, Freauo really began to fell ill. He heard a ringing noise, despite there being none. He had a brownout. Then, without anything to prop him up, he suddenly blacked out, and fell onto the floor, still bleeding.

IC: Sir Prize and Miss Fortune followed the random passerby onto freauo's ship. They stayed aboard even after the passerby left. Next time Freauo tried to start his ship, he would find he had, engine trouble, and would be unable to leave without first making some repairs. There was no visable cause, just, bad luck.

Dan was a little hungry so he stopped at one of the food stalls that offered something similar to a oriental noodle dish, he bought some and moved on eating as he walked. It was good food, so good he sat down to eat it at a near by table.
