Frederick stopped and thought for a long time.

In all his years, he had wandered aimlessly, with little more than a vague thought of peace.

It was clear to him now that in the few days he had traversed Om, he had found friendship, purpose, and meaning to life. The loss of the world dealt a sharp pang to his heart.

"I wish..." he paused and thought carefully about what he would request. "I wish that Om, and those in and upon it, had been spared the death and destruction wrought by our passage, and to live the remainder of my days upon that world."

Clambering out of the smoking wreckage of the Brigadier, clutching her shattered arm to her side and bleeding from multiple minor injuries, Svetranova smiled a grim smile.

"I wish," she began, "that Atopiana can make the best possible use of this planet and all that I have found on it."

"ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
And Nekaru fell on the ground.
It was growing stronger. It had laid dormant for hundreds of years, and Nekaru had used it without fear of reprisal.
But it was growing. Nekaru got up and stared at the Lady, one hand over his eye, and the other eye appearing quite crazed.
"I wish...... I wish...... "
and then he started laughing. But it was no kind laugh, it was a laugh of wild despair.
"I wish that every world I have been in my 500 years is destroyed and everyone who is on them."
OOC: I'm making him go off the deep end. As for it, let's just say that there's a reason for Nekaru's main ability.

Johnathon looked around, as though somehow this all seemed normal, spaceships, magic strange people made of flowers... It all seemed normal.

Johnathon thought about what he wanted most... He could wish for power.. he could wish for wealth beyond all imagination. All these crossed his mind but there was something that he longed for.

Years of grim special operations had affected him... "I wish to see the beauty in the world around me, like I did before."

"Granted, but it is not immediatly, nor by me, that your wish shall come true. In time, you will find another, who will again, help you see Beauty.

"I wish that the Legion lived forever. Legion patria nostra."

OOC: That would be his 5 minute wonderlegion, the translation is literally "The Legion is our country."
"Everything must eventually come to an end, that is one of the founding princibles of creation, but, regardless, your wish is still granted and the power and knowledge has been granted to you to make this wish come true.

Your wish was granted, even before you made it, but in a way, you may not have known. Brother Om is a part of me, to weak to any longer be his own spirit. The Omians are now a part of my Children, the Ri-anese, but it will be some time, before the two cultures completly come together. Such was Mother's plan, having forseen Kajeenith's actions.

Beckenbauer ran a few selection subroutines, then voiced his wish:

"I wish that the Pact of Iron shall last forever."
"Though even with a wish, I cannot promise an eternal lasting of such a thing, I give directly to you, and you alone, the power to make it last as long as possible."

Clambering out of the smoking wreckage of the Brigadier, clutching her shattered arm to her side and bleeding from multiple minor injuries, Svetranova smiled a grim smile.

"I wish," she began, "that Atopiana can make the best possible use of this planet and all that I have found on it."
This world belongs to me, and my peoples government. I cannot give it to you, but another instead you will find on your way home. That one you can have. It shall be as you think it should be, when you find it, crafted entirely from your own ideas and mind, and for now, it shall be called as you are. Svetranova Prime.

"You get your wish." Was the last thing he heard before he found himself all alone, floating in the depths of space where Ri-an was, in an alternate timeline where such a thing did happen. Thus, his was was technicly, completly granted, while still not harming the innocent beings in the original timeline."

OOC:You never specified HOW to answer it. Becareful what you wish for, you might get it, and you did.

Now, Chron, the Time Magi-master, and Stellae, The Space Magi-mistress, can still help you get back to the original Timeline.

Maxim looked at Ri-an funny when she made offers to grant one wish. With a shrug he decided for a simple one. "I wish to, overall, enjoy the rest of my life. And if you'll grant a request rather than a wish, a kiss?"

---------------

Mahzerius meanwhile had seated him as he felt that he could wish for anything but that wouldn't be certain to grant him what he sought as it had already happened.

Realizing what he wanted, he replied, "I wish Kajeenith found true peace and contentment."

Lady Ri-an bent, covered his eyes, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. With his eyes still covered, she whispered in his ear.

"Gadgets and gizmos and the wonders of science make you happy, and so to enjoy the rest of your life, you will always have plenty to tinker with, but you also need a companion, a friend with which, you can truely be happy." Then he found himself somehwere. Where, wouldn't matter very much, as he found himself on a mountine of more gadgets and gizmos and thingamabobs then he could possibly imagine, with hundreds of igorim assistants just waiting for commands.

But he was not alone. A very lovely woman his same age.

As time went by, hye would find, she made him very happy indeed, being the ideal sort of woman, for a mad scientitst, like him.

OOC: I suggust having the lab be somewhere near his home, but that is up to you. The woman, well, everyone deserves a chance to experience love of the truest sort. Notice I didn't describe her or name her, save to make her his age, and that she would make him very happy.

"Then I make not a wish, but a request. I request permission to stay." He paused for a moment before his eyes grew wide. "That, and that the figurines in my bag would stop growing before they form their own planet."

Nekaru bit his finger.
Drawing a drop of blood, he licked it and then proceeded to form another series of hand seals.
When it finished, a pattern appeared- the same circular pentagram that was used to send Nekaru to the world of OM.
Rather, now that it was not directed at anything, it would be used to send Nekaru to a planet with other life. He would be still in this universe, but somehow, someway, he would get to his own and finish his work.
The circle grew, its circumference turning red as it swallowed Nekaru.
As he vanished into the void, only one more laugh could be heard.
"I know this is not my universe, Ri-an! I know that you sent me somewhere, to an alternate world where my dream came true! You are clever, indeed! Eityher that, or I was a fool for not being specific.
But note this, Ri-an! I will return! I will return and wreck hell over the universe! I will prove that I AM ALIVE! and THAT I EXIST!"
OOC: Yep, he's going off the deep end. I didn't list this as a ability because inter-planet travel wasn't going to be useful here, after all. It's how he got here in the first place.

"Though even with a wish, I cannot promise an eternal lasting of such a thing, I give directly to you, and you alone, the power to make it last as long as possible."

Just as Beckenbauer wondered what on earth was meant by those words, he felt a sudden infusion of energy and purpose. The veil of insanity was lifted and all of the drive and rage was focused behind a single desire, a single motive: to preserve the Pact of Iron.
"You have my thanks," bowed the Storm-General, "it was a battle worthy of song and tale. Should you ever once again find yourselves under seige from this dark entity, or another foul foe, then the legions of the Pact will follow me to your aid."

He then sent out an automated pulse to see if the Atopian was alive.

"Well, it is time, time for a parting of the ways." Lady Ri-an said.

She held her hand out, and a Door appeared in mid-air. It floated a full foot off the ground, and could clearly be seen unattached to anything.

"Open it, and step inside. You will be, home."

OOC: If you came on a starship, you will be on it, if you just suddenly appeared, you will be home. There's no point to continuing further, this thread has reached its end.

(OOC: Well, the story of Om has finally come to a close. Since Frederick is a one-off independant, I'll write in an epilogue based on his last two requests.)

Frederick retired on the world of Ri-an, finally finding a home in which he could settle. As the years passed, he established a museum with the 200-odd figurines he had collected on his travels, where he continues to work on tiny lifelike models to this day.

His pains were forgotten over the years, and soon, he was little more than an interesting character amongst the combined cultures of Ri-an and Om.

A situation to which he has no complaints.

OOC: Here's Johnathon's epilogue

IC:

Johnathon stepped through the door and suddenly found himself in bed, lying down he jerked up with a start. He was in his normal bedtime clothing and the time was blinking 4:32 AM, they lost power during the night. Checking his watch the time was also 4:32 apparently it had gone out at exactly mid-night.

"Weird dream" he thought making his alarm clock stop blinking, Getting up he once again picked up his gun... It glowed green, the black dragon spirit was still in his gun... He thought he still might be dreaming. but no morning came and everything was as usual, apart from a number of techs going around trying to figure why the power went out. It was no dream, which meant his wish would come true. He smiled his first true happy smile for some time.

Spending the next 5 years continueing his job as a Special forces, rumours started spreading about Johnathon KArver's connection to a black dragon, his nickname being the dragon. Enemies of Bazalonia started to hear of the Dragon and fear him.

After these years he left the military with an honourable discharge, and it seemed accidental that he meet this woman. He managed to save her groceries from getting hit and run over by a car. Her name was Lois. The two of them started dating, and only a year and half later they were married. Lois had brought happiness and appreciation of the small things, seeing beauty in the creation around him.

As he was about to dive into the pile, he looked about to spot his lab. Contemplating if it were time for rain, Maxim noticed that as well as the cloud growth for a light shower in a couple days there was a girl. His sense of rightness was immediately offended as the whatever fluke of nature generate the 'spark' tended to be male based.

As he walked along a stray I-beam to complain about her presence when he saw that she was working on constructing what could only be a localized reality distortion-o-mat. Realizing that she also had it, prompted him to consider that maybe she was suppose to be the companion, thought he'd expected a talking cat.

With that he headed forward both temporally and local spatially to see what was in store.

OOC:

Sorry for the length, I had to make up for time lost due to work and being sick. Please pardon any liberties I took in telling this story.

IC:

Morganna suddenly felt a pull at her very being, her existence as Kajeenith began to draw the entire Gestalt into himself. She had to think fast before Balrogga ceases to exist. From the back of her mind, she felt a presence. She looked inward and found the Elder Brain she absorbed earlier.

“Kajeenith used us as much as he used you. Take the power you absorbed from me and use it to enact my vengeance upon that worthless pitiful non-entity. Don’t worry, I am already dead, this is but a memory attached to the energy you absorbed. Use that power to help your people.”

“I will do so; you will not perish for no reason.”

Morganna embraced the power of The God Brain and used it to establish the mind flayer attack upon Kajeenith, drawing the entity into her while it was trying to draw her into it. The resulting paradox caused the two to be thrown violently apart from each other. Energy from the Elder Brain attack continued to draw the stolen Ta’Nar energy out of Kajeenith and returned it back to Morganna, replacing it with its own, substituting itself so the Ta’Nar Gestalt would have a chance. Morganna picked herself up and faced the mad god who was puzzled at her sudden assistance. Morganna finished creating a warding to remove access of the Link from Kajeenith. She had not expected that attack and made sure it would never work again.

“I don’t know what the hell you did but I have a distinctive aftertaste of calamari. I bet it was that damn Elder Brain. I should have killed it when I had the chance.”

Morganna began to organize her next attack through the Link. She tried to engage Kajeenith in conversation to allow her the time she needed.

“Don’t worry; you will get your chance, in Hell.”

“Getting pretty cocky for someone who almost caused her whole nation to die. Must be pretty proud of you. Hell, I would make you an example to the others of what will happen if you oppose me. Your entire nation will join Trinity Blood in the Void. Too bad, you showed such great potential for agents to spread destruction.”

“The Ta’Nar are not agents of Entropy, we embrace Balance. Chaos and Order exist to Balance the Multiverse.”

“It doesn’t matter if you are or not. You are a tool for me to use as I will.”

“That is where you are wrong; I am no more a tool than you are sane.”

Morganna was almost ready. She could feel The Others and their eagerness to end this. Nhur-Galladu had pulled in the Childer and the Kythons into the Gestalt, making this an all-or-nothing battle. She had better not lose. She waited for the opening.

Kajeenith suddenly paused and seemed to get angry. Kajeenith's body began to smoke, and it was pale white, with hints of purple. Little white sparks of energy seemed to jump out of his body. It was the opening she was waiting for. The appearance of wounds on him meant he was taking damage in his other realities and would be distracted. This was her chance to cause as much damage to his form as she could, distracting him further so Xos could get the sword.

“What’s the matter, are you getting your ass handed to you somewhere else? Perhaps it is time I help.”

Morganna channeled the massive attack she had been organizing. Six million Ta’Nar, four billion Childer, and almost two billion Kythons worked together to generate a psionic attack. The attack was the opposite of Healing, causing wounds to appear upon the target instead of closing them. Harm would be nasty normally but with over 6 billion of them going off all at once, it should be devastating. As his body would reform after the attack, it would continue. The distraction should be enough to let Xos into the Gate.

Kajeenith’s retaliation caused Morganna to be tossed aside as if she was a little rag doll. Suddenly Kajeenith was ignoring her and disappeared, focusing his attention on Xos and his battle with the dangerous Sword he possessed. Morganna lay upon the ground, her mind buzzing from both the blow and from the huge amount of psionic power that flowed through her. The act of being a conduit for the Gestalt attack caused her awareness to phase in and out, making her unsure of the time that passed until she was suddenly aware of standing with her comrades in front of a woman made of flowers. She was speaking to the whole group although Morganna couldn’t quite understand what was being said, her abilities still somewhat stunned by their recent usage.

After several spoke to her individually, she looked at Morganna and suddenly her awareness centered. She was again herself without the buzzing or blurriness.

After everyone else had gone, Lady Ri-an turned to Morganna.

"And that leaves only you. You have remained, silent. Do you still have an unspoken wish?"

Unaware of what was spoken before Lady Ri-an turned her attention to Morganna and healed her she could only stand there uncharacteristically in wonder. It took a couple moments for her to realize what was happening.

“Um… I’m sorry, everything so far has been in a haze and I am not sure what is going on. Could you please tell me what has happened?”

And what of Xithal? As a former being of Om, he was integrated into the populace of Ri-an, and lived a full, happy life, becoming patriach to a long lived line of gold dragons.

He and Frederick remained in close friends until the day of the explorer's death, which was mourned greatly. The burial of Orwell was a quiet one, his passing mourned only by the still-youthful Xithal, in a secluded forest glade.

When Xithal himself passed on, millenia later, his body became a great cliff overlooking the quiet glade, a guarded area which exuded an aura of safety for all time. Visitors to the quiet glade often report witnessing the ghostly phantoms of a grey haired old man wearing a pair of brass goggles and a young gold dragon, sitting these as if it were the most normal thing in the world, engaged in deep conversation.

Storm-General Beckenbauer returned to the Pact of Iron a stronger and more determined individual. His armour underwent signifcant analysis at his reuqest, and although it took many years for the PoI scientists and technicians to fully understand the strange mechanism, eventually its secrets would be understood and replicated. Under Beckenbauer's instructions, the technology was implemented into thousands of Ubersoldaten and led to the creation of the Ubersoldaten Conversion Corps. These soldiers possesed a number of different alternate modes that suprised more than one enemy.

As for the Storm-General himself, the insanity that he had come to Om with had seemingly disappeared. He became a strong supporter for the Pact, and more than once crushed dissident movements with the Army, Air Force and even the SS. Beckenbauer continued the crusade against Zionism and Bolshevism in the name of his masters, never once thinking he could be in error and showing no mercy.

"Simple, Kajeenith has been destroyed, at least as much as an entity like him can be destroyed. The Gate was destroyed by Xos.

Now the Mother Spirit of All creation itself, has given me the power to grant wishes, same as the gate, for a short time. All others have had their request fulfilled, stepped through the door, and left."

Sometime later...

"Mother, I ask only for one simple wish for myself. Let everything be restored." Lady Ri-an asked.

A golden Energy seemed to radiate forth from her body. People were healed, buildings were repaired, and the world was renewed.

Life on Ri-an had resumed normalcy.

Elsewhere, in 200 hidden secret locations...

In response to the restoration of Ri-an 200 Eggs, laid by Jiralyn the Dark Priestess of Kajeenith, hatched. Some were in other Realities, some were in the NS reality, in various nations, only five were hidden in Ri-an.

The Eggs hatched to reveal baby, humans? They were of Kajeenith and Jiralyn's blood. They only looked human. The eggs morphed into baskets.

The babies started crying. They were placed near childless couples, who wanted, but could never have, children of their own, and the baby's cry was enchanted, to make them want to adopt and take care of the strange children the 200 couples would find.

And so Kajeenith's ultimate plan went into effect, having forseen his own destruction.

The Children of Kajeenith would be raised to adulthood, ignorant of their own past, until the right time.

Even in death, Kajeenith still won.

What would the future hold?

Morganna thought carefully about what to wish for. Her first impulse was to go with the information to the whereabouts of The Overlords but she had a dread feeling inside her. It felt like a combination but neither Danger Sense nor Precognition. Even though Lady Ri-an said Kajeenith was dead, she felt like she would see him again. If that was true, then her people would not even be safe with the knowledge she was sent to recover.

“Lady Ri-an, I originally came here so my people could find their roots but something inside tells me it is not yet time for that knowledge. Instead I will wish to make sure all traces of Kajeenith is gone from Reality so I would know it is safe and we are not in danger from Him. That is what I wish for.”

"Beware the Children, for the seek The Crystal of the Heart of Creation."

Morganna felt a power greater then herself, the empire, the combined might of the Geshtalt she had used, Beldragos, his siblings, and his mother. She was one of the few that felt, IT, The oldest source, the original Source, The Omnisource. It was the thing Kajeenith sought to destroy.

Then the power was gone. But she was a marked woman. She had a permanent Golden Glow about her nobody could quite see, but was sure was there. When the time was right, she would find herself in the right places, at the right times.

She felt a great soaring sensation, and disappeared in a time Warp.
