A truck and a car move down the highway. Their Xenon Headlights blinding oncoming traffic and the lead car's shape attracting some attention from the late night drivers. They were too tired to care.

The Avisronite military is becoming increasingly privatized, so it needs a way to make money during peacetime. It could operate a discreet destroyer wing that can fire missiles into space. That, and maybe some spaceborne UCAV's.

I'm not sure how we would price this. It's a bit complicated, really. There's alot of different kinds of satellites. Simple communications satellites. Anti-satellite satellites. Space-to-ground systems. I don't see how we could charge the same amount to kill a highly advanced military weapon as we charge to kill a TV satellite.

I apologize gratly for the error on our part. We are knew to the gold trade and made a few miscalculations. After killing my accountant, I recalculated the purchase as follows.

Gold's Current Value: $650 per troy ounce
Troy Ounce: 12 per pound
Pound: 2000 per ton

There is one more thing I would like to talk with you about. Our land is quite unique (I have enclosed a map (http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/DMG2005/Sanctum.jpg). Note that the two southern passages are only ten meters wide, thus most ships can not pass into the inner sanctum. All cargo travels through the double pier.) As you may notice, this provides us with a very good basis for defense. What we want is a special project in which Universal Exports creates a semi-custom piece of us. We want a reinforced railroad, perhaps built into the ground and all metal parts, that goes around the entire island (and under the two sea-ways at the south - it's only ten meters deep). For the actual train cars, we need all kinds of defense: anti-aircraft guns/missiles, large-caliber MGs, railguns, etc. We will need it to be armored for defense but maintain a lot of speed. F-37s I can only get because British Londonium sold me the plans and I am funneling the money via an 'oil rig tax' to his government.

F-22s the Leafanistani Air Force phased out years ago, they also forced this change on all Air Forces in the mainland. Only the Rovonian Colony of Wasser maintains them, and only because they cited the new treaty of Colonization. And they will not sell to me. I'll buy them from DMG and sail them over.

4 days after the message was sent a large cargo plane landed on an eroding Soviet-era airstrip. The guards carried an odd mix of weapons, some grasping ancient Mosin-Nagant rifles, others with just Makarov and TT pistols, and one large Sergeant holding an RPK, the only automatic weapon in the bunch.

Many of them were just young boys, no older than 17, with bandannas as their only identifying mark. They were the ragtag army, just as the pilot imagined. He smirked as he watched the Mafia delivery men attempt to impress them.

The cargo bay was loaded with weapons and the contaminated food, and each Mafia person on board had a new Gold Sovereign in their pocket to shut up about it. They opened the doors to the wide-eyed young boys and emerged as Spartan like gods to them.

Encased in their Crusader battlesuits and carrying Otagian manufactured M32 Light Machine Guns, they were decades ahead of the 'soldiers' in front of them. The lead one, with two MP-5Ks at his side came down the ramp. He handed over a clipboard to the Sergeant, who ordered a prepubescent brat to bring up a beaten up aluminum Halliburton case. The lead Mafia officer ordered one of his subordinates to open the case, which revealed bundles of highly refined heroin, along with a single silver bar, .9999 pure, as immediate payment.

What takes a loading crew 2 hours to do at a fancy Praetorian airport was accomplished in 15 minutes by a few malnourished Mixastanian boys. They marveled at their new rifles, eyes wide with excitement. Those carrying the food crates were even more excited at the prospect of fresh food, the cans all bore labels that showed expiration dates years ahead of the present, and presented color pictures of horribly appetizing foods. It would be a good feast. And the boys showed their appreciation by firing their new Kalashnikovs into the air as the plane took off, never to return to that base. The Mafia Officer drawing a large red X on the area.

That night in their improvised mess hall, all of the boys dug into their food with great gusto. The Sergeant did not join them, as he could afford local sources of food, ate alone in flight control tower with a few of his private honor guard. The boys went to bed with stomachs full, imagining that they would wake the next morning and start a new offensive against the warlords in the west. They would, but not with their Kalashnikovs in tow.

None of the boys woke that morning, and when the Sergeant at 6:00 AM switched on the lights in the dozens of converted hangers and banging on pots via his P.A. he was shocked that no one had emerged. He sent his honor guard down to check, and a few minutes later, he got horrified reports that all of the boys were dead, the entire battalion, wiped out in their sleep.

He first lambasted the Honor Guard, calling them cowards, and he burst into Hanger 4 firing his RPK into the ceiling, piercing the thin skinned ceiling, he was surprised he elicited no reaction. He looked at the boys, and he saw what was happening. All of them were extremely feverish, all were in some kind of coma, and a few had gotten up at night and drowned themselves in sinks and showers with cold water, trying desperately to relieve their fevers.

He stepped out of the hanger and ordered all the doors to be locked and a Quarentine on the entire base. Obviously some sort of biological attack had taken place, they were sick, probably this Anthrax or Ebola he saw on his satellite television. He returned to the tower with a few crates of AK-47s and their ammo. He thought the warlords would come soon. He picked up his cheap LibNet cell phone and called his local commanders and found no enemy movements. The attack must have come elsewhere. That is when his eyes moved toward a can of generic canned meat sitting on his desk. The Mafia had contaminated his food supply.

He flew into a rage and picked up a bulky satellite phone in the tower and ordered the tower be sealed. He called his partner in the capital and demanded a transfer to his contact. The contact never answered his phone, but it went to an answering machine which mentioned a Chinese-Russian fusion takeout restaurant. He screamed at it, how their rotten food had poisoned his men, how he demanded his money back, and he slammed the phone down.

His local commanders had sent 2 trucks of boy soldiers to help reinforce his base and secure the hangers to prevent the diseased children from leaving. They lacked trained doctors, even a first aid kit so they just had to let them die. As night fell, the 2 dozen soldiers went into increased vigilance.

Then it started. A banging on the thick blast doors and the soldiers began to face the hangers they were guarding unsure whether to protect against the internal or external threat. A few began to shout, call for those inside to respond and did they receive a response. A groan, a moan, a cry from the undead that shocked the boys and caused a few of them to flee into the countryside.

It was in Hanger 4, from the holes in the ceiling that the Sergeant fired that the first of the undead menace got a grip on it. It was a tearing noise that woke the Sergeant and caused him to flip on the airstrip's flood lights revealing the remainders of the boy guards firing their automatic weapons at the horrors surrounding them. The Sergeant's eyes widened as the monsters tore them limb for limb and he quickly ordered his honor guards upstairs and shut down the lights.

They will sit there for days as the now five thousand and nineteen more charging toward the west, following the fleeing remainders of the guards.

The warlords shot most the fleeing guards and interrogated the last one. They mustered a response, but failing to recognize the true nature of the enemy they soon found themselves overwhelmed. The plague spread to the parts controlled by the federal military and they brought out the big guns.

Though they suffered heavy casualties and an ultimate 3% of the population killed through either direct zombie death or interhuman conflict or even mass suicides, the horde was put down.

It took 7 months, but finally, a 3 volume, 700 page report ended up on desks of the Rockwell Biological Research Corporation. Satellite photos, survivor interviews, and generated maps of the infestation showed how effective even in a sparsely populated area the weapon was, provided a large number was infected and led to populated areas.
