Out of production planes need editing. I assume that Tech 7 helicopters need .1 maintenance? Before it was .25

The Park Government, looking for some quiet insurance against future Chinese misbehavior, quietly agrees to let the Russians base ships at Vladivostok.

nope, still .25.. they are expensive and difficult to maintain. Newer helicopters are actually easier to maintain then older ones

So I can start an airline industry by building say.... a 757 or something. Just different and with different names and such.

Alright, how about this?

The Indochinese agree to buy 576 state of the art of Su-27 fighters (24 squadrons) from Russia to replace its aging Mirage IIIEs.
The first group of 288 aircraft are to be purchased in 1970 and second group of 288 in 1972.
This is estimated to cost 32 billion dollars.

With certain conditions the Indochinese also agree to pay 16 billion dollars to produce its own Su-27s under domestic lisence.

Since you're in the ESA and EEC, figure you have them.

Speaking of which.... who is doing Poland, the SU and Ukraine's builds?

technology was provided to you from Huron, so your good

incidently, the North Americans now have neutron weapons

the British will get them next and will be informed when they become available

Parthini']I'm a little confused. Are Special Forces Battalions now 1 point and have a maintainence of .25? Does that include SF level training?

costs 1 point to build, .25 to maintain, and then you have to spend for training each year

so essentially 1 point a year for a handpicked SF battalion

But the newer ones are .5 maintenance, so they cost more to maintain.

yes, it will be like the SR71 in some respects, but not as fast
figure air combat 9 (defense only), strike 0, range long (intercontinental with tanker support) cost 5, maintenance 3

posted an answer earlier to this... essentially a nation without an aviation industry has to start with a trainer, cargo aircraft or airliner first before it can start building high performance aircraft

10 years from start to first decent aircraft .. so 1975

yes, I would suggest using the C160 (its a French aircraft, but a decent twin engined light transport and will be cheap)

yes, but it makes just turboprop airliners, but it could build one specific high performance plane under license

Rough design for the new British IC bomber. Roughly based off an improved Vulcan and a worse B-1 lancer, I hope they're about right, aircraft aren't my thing. Any idea on stats GB? No hurry for them though, I'll need until 1972 to pay for it anyway.

Fokker has, IIRC, built a few cargo/tanker craft over the years, so you could build a few "counts as C-130" or whatever, I'd assume.

Your max speed is way too low. This thing would hit Mach 3.

not at low level it can't... even the B1 doesnt do Mach numbers at low level due to avionics restrictions at tech level 8

No but its max speed would be over Mach 2 if its got reheat. If its not got reheat, I'd say around Mach 1.7-2.0.
He's using the same engine as the Concorde, and the Concorde has a max take off weight of 408,000 lb (185,070 kg), and 4 Olympus engines, albeit ones rated 32,000 lbf (142 kN) dry / 38,050 lbf (169 kN) reheat. I'm guessing he will have reheat though, as the original Rolls Royce Olympus engines were 20,000 lbf (89 kN) dry / 30,610 lbf (136 kN) reheat, which is what his were based on I think. That engine was going to be fitted to the Concorde, but they decided to make it more powerful. Now if he has 6 of them, that's (dry) 540kN altogether, whilst the much heavier Concorde has 4 of the (dry) 142kN engines, which would be 568kN; not much more than the much lighter plane that LR has designed.

I'm just saying all this, because if the stats are good enough, I might get one.
