As to adding more items to the Law Enforcement section. I'll be glad to, however it might be awhile as I got some custom projects I need to work on first. Second, while we appreciate you listing what equipment you require ammunition for, that's not what we requested. If, on the off chance that our message was misunderstand, I sincerely apologize. We require the list of what munitions you need, not what equipment you need it for. Specifically the Caliber of each type of munitions you require. To give an example to illustrate what we mean. In your declaration, you listed the BMP-2. There were many factors in the Panther CLV being chosen over the Eagle/HMMWV family of vehicles. The two main factors being, for starters, the UE military wanted a vehicle with a already built in mine protection giving the heavy use of mine warfare within UE military doctrine, which right off the bat disqualified the Eagle/HMMWV family. Second and the most important, the UE military wanted nothing to do with the HMMWV family of vehicles which include the Eagle which was based off the chassis of the HMMWV.

On a related note, UEMS inquires to know if you are still interested in procuring the production rights for the Panther CLV?

OCC: The Albion Class carries four LCU Mk 10 and four LCVP Mk 5 landing craft. Officially I can't supply them as I don't have those currently listed. Unofficially I can as they would be the same price as their US counterparts whenever I got around to adding them. Finding information and good links on landing craft isn't easy. So, if you just list how many of those landing craft you want, I'll know what you mean even though I don't carry them. Sometime in the future I get around to adding them officially as I already found a link and some information on the LCU Mk10. Edit: With the LCVP Mk5B to follow later.

IC: We too can understand your funding problems as our nation also experienced the same problems with it's special forces until it hit upon the ingenious solution of simply training all it's forces within the specified fields of each branch as special forces. Joining the United Earthlings Military is not for the light or weak of heart. However, having that setup has resulted in some trade-offs that some nations might not be willing to tolerate.

C-235A "Gull"

The C-235 is a derivative of the CN-235 transporter designed for carrier operations. The aircraft is noted for its short take-off and landing capability on semi-prepared runways as well as aboard Aircraft Carriers. The landing and take-off run of under 600 meters allow the aircraft access to runways close to operational or crisis areas or where supplies and troops are needed.

UEMS has developed the C-235 multi-mission tactical aircraft in a number of special application versions including tactical transport, Carrier Onboard Delivery{COD}, electronic warfare (ESM/ECM and ELINT/COMINT), navigator training and aerial survey.

The new UEMS C-235 provides improved hot and high performance, in-flight refuelling for extended range and longer time on station, higher-rated pressurisation and twin nosewheel for improved operation on short and unprepared runways as well as carrier landings. The take-off run to 50 feet is less 600m and the plane can transport loads up to 7,625kg.

FLIGHT DECK
The flight deck accommodates the pilot and co-pilot and a mission crew member. The C-235 cockpit is night-vision-goggle compatible and fitted with twin head-up displays. The electronic flight and information system, a Rockwell Collins EFIS-85B (14), has four 152mm x 203mm (6in x 8in) liquid crystal displays.

The aircraft is equipped with an open-systems avionics suite with MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC 429 military digital databuses, a Thales (formerly Sextant) Avionics Topdeck colour weather, flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder, advanced terrain collision avoidance system (enhanced TCAS) and Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS).

CABIN CONFIGURATIONS
The fully air conditioned and pressurized cabin can be configured for passenger transport, for mixed passenger and cargo or for all-cargo operations. For passenger transport, the cabin will accommodate up to 51 passengers or fully equipped troops or 48 paratroops. Paratroops can drop from two rear doors. In the medical evacuation role, the aircraft can transport 21 litters (stretcher patients) and four medical crew.

A roller loading system is fitted for easy loading of cargo and a wide ventral door and cargo ramp in the upswept rear fuselage. The cabin can carry up to four standard LD3 containers and is equipped for parachute load dropping. The aircraft is fitted with an in-flight operable rear ramp. Loads can be dropped using low altitude (LAPES) or high altitude (HAD) delivery. The aircraft's flight management system with an integrated four-dimensional navigation system automatically calculates the altitude and release points for parachute load dropping.

TURBOPROP ENGINES
The aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce AE2100J turboprop engines each developing 4,591shp or 3,423 Kw . The engines are fitted with fire detection and fire extinguishing systems and are wing-mounted in composite nacelles. The engines drive six-bladed composite propellers, type HS-568F-5 developed by UEMS. The blades, of 3.89m diameter, have autofeathering and synchrophasing.

The aircraft has two integral main tanks in the center section of the wing and two integral outer wing tanks holding a total fuel capacity of 5,220l. Each tank is fitted with a gravity fueling point and there is a pressure refueling point in the landing gear fairing on the starboard side. The aircraft is fitted with an auxiliary power unit but the starboard (number 2) engine can also be used as an auxiliary power unit on the ground, by using propeller breaking.

The C-235 can also be equipped for in-flight refueling capability, giving it an almost intercontinental range.

LANDING GEAR
The C-235 is fitted with tricycle-type retractable landing gear designed by UEMS. The landing gear is designed to allow operation from semi-prepared runways and aircraft carriers. Each landing gear is equipped with levered suspension and oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers.

The main landing gear, each equipped with two wheels in tandem, is installed in fairings on the underside of the fuselage. The gear is fitted with Dunlop hydraulically operated differential disc brakes and an anti-skid system. The steerable nose wheel is fitted with twin wheels.

CARRIER OPERATIONS DESIGN
The fuselage can be modified for carrier operations and is fitted with a nose-tow catapult attachment for accelerated carrier take-off, an A-frame arrester hook for engagement of the arresting gear and a tail bumper to withstand impact or scraping on the runway. For storage in the hangar, the wings fold hydraulically to lie flat to the fuselage.

SPECIFICATIONS
Performance: Max Speed- 535km/h (289kt or 333mph), Max Cruising Speed- 480km/h (260kt or 300mph). Initial rate of climb at sea level- 1780ft/min. Maximum Range- 5,630 km[3,040 nm] and Range with 5,000 kg(11,023 lbs) payload- 2,150 km[1,160 nm].
Weights: Empty-10,922kg (24,078lb), Max Takeoff[MTOW]-23,200 kg (51,146 lb), Maximum Payload-7,625kg (16,810 lbs).
Dimensions: Wing span- 25.81m (84ft 8in), Length- 21.40m (70ft 3in), Height- 8.18m (26ft 10in), Wing area- 59.1m2 (636.17sq ft).

OCC: Just a heads up, but it's probably not the best idea to share the design with Salzland as it's violates our Production Rights Agreement. Here it is outlined in full.

"Production Rights Agreement- Production Rights Agreement: By buying production rights to said product, you acquire the right to not only produce said product in your nation for life but you also acquire the advance manufacturing methods we use and any modifications you make to said product is yours and yours alone. UEMS can not claim any rights to said product. However, you may not sell, transfer, share or loan production rights of said product to other nations if you have not made any modifications to that said product. Violation of the Production Rights Agreement will result at least in the removal of the production rights and at worse a state of war."

The reason for the above disclaimer is that were not so much worried about the design itself as any nation can pretty much build a Cruiser or any other piece of equipment, but in protecting the unique service that our company provides. Namely, the transfer of technology that give nations an advance manufacturing base they wouldn't otherwise have. For you see, when you buy the production rights your nation is buying more then the design, your buying a service, a philosophy, a way of life and that is something worth protecting.

OCC: Yep, if you modify the design in some way then I see no problem. As for reverse engineering the design. Why that's not technically forbidden it's also not exactly going to be looked upon to kindly. Then again, reverse engineering a design is not exactly easy so if his nation wants to spend all that extra time and money to reverse engineer a design that would in all likely had been just cheaper to buy outright then he's/she's free to do that. That’s why it’s called freeform.

I’m sure you could also work out something illegal to if you wanted to go that route, you better just hope I never get wind of it.

Correct, however it should be noted that while we build all the equipment that make up the Space Stations, UEMS doesn't actually launch it into space and assemble it. As I mentioned in the order, if there's a mistake in our order I do not mind paying the difference. The quality of UEMS products, along with the ease of being able to pick a few very competitively-priced packages and (OOC) save myself hours of picking out various vehicles, logistics equipment, etc. that I need to assemble a custom force makes it all worthwhile.

Poseidon family of Anti-Ship Missiles



The RGM-184 “Poseidon” is a long-range, ship-launched, solid propellant and turbofan-propelled, single warhead, surface-to-surface anti-ship cruise missile. Designed in response to the increasing use of heavily armored vessels such as battleships by foreign navies. The “Poseidon” family of missiles are capable of destroying or heavily damaging large surface vessels in a single blow, as well as the ability of engaging submarines through the use of the Mark 58 torpedo. The Poseidon family of anti-ship missiles can be launched from both ships and aircraft, or from a variety of platforms as a coastal defense missile. It is similar in appearance to the RGM/UGM-109 “Tomahawk” cruise missile design, from which it gets it’s inspiration along with the Klub family of Missiles. Due to the advance nature and capabilities of the “Poseidon” family, an export restriction was imposed by the government of United Earthlings to prevent it’s design from falling into the hands of foreign operators.

In 2007, UEMS began development of the “Poseidon” family of missiles, which included the air-launched AGM-184 and the ship-launched RGM-184. The idea was to create a standard heavy anti-ship cruise missile for the U.E. Navy and Air Force designed to sink large warships in both an open-ocean and littoral (shallow water) environment. From the beginning, two distinct versions were developed: the Poseidon, a two-stage anti-ship missile; and the Poseidon II, a single-stage anti-ship missile armed with a single Mark 58 torpedo instead of an warhead.

Both versions, the RGM-184, and the AGM-184, entered service in 2008. The RGM-184 “Poseidon” is currently being tested for deployment on the “Kaiser” class guided missile battlecruisers. Should these tests prove a success, integration of the Poseidon throughout the fleet should follow with the “Eradicate” class guided missile battleships, “Winston” class guided missile cruisers, and “Farragut” class guided missile destroyers receiving the missiles. The AGM-184 meanwhile is currently being tested for deployment on the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft(MMA), Eurofighter Typhoon, Su-30MKA, Rafale, B1B Lancer, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and the Gripen. Following the successful integration on the above aircraft, weapons testing and integrated has continued on new aircraft platforms that meet the desired requirements to enter service within the Royal Commonwealth Navy and Air Force.

The RGM-184 “Poseidon” is fired from Mk 148 launchers, and is powered by a tandem-mounted booster rocket in the launch phase and a turbofan engine in the midcourse phase with a solid propellant boost motor used during the terminal phase. The missile travels at low altitude toward its target and uses a sea-skimming attack profile during the terminal phase. Upon entering the terminal phase, the engagement of the solid rocket motor can be set anywhere from 28 to 46 kilometers away from the desired target, giving the intended target little to no warning time. The missile’s strapdown three-axis attitude/heading inertial navigation system (INS) provides guidance during the midcourse phase, with an AN/DSQ-28 J-band active radar seeker providing guidance in the terminal phase.

The missile is launched in the general direction of the target and at some distance from the expected target position, it enters a serpentine flight pattern to search for it using both passive radar to scan enemy emissions and active radar to lock on a detected target. Once the seeker has locked onto a target, the RGM/AGM-184 proceeds towards it’s target at a very low altitude (sea-skimming). Maneuvers after lock-on can include short pop-ups to get a better fix on the target position and/or course changes to strike the target from an unexpected direction such as hitting the target from either the side or from the top after a terminal pop-up manoeuver. The “Poseidon” family of missiles can be armed with either a 450 kg (1000 lb) WDU-47/B depleted uranium or tungsten armor piercing high-explosive blast-fragmentation warhead or a Mark 58 torpedo.

Unlike the Poseidon, the Poseidon II ASM is not equipped with a solid rocket motor and upon entering the terminal phase instead of directly attacking it’s intended target at high speed continues towards it’s target, intent on bringing it’s payload of a single Mark 58 torpedo within range of it’s designated target. Once the active radar on board has confirmed the target is in range of the Mark 58 torpedo, the turbofan on the Poseidon II disengages and the guidance system noses the missile down into a controlled crash into the water whereupon the Mark 58 torpedo is expelled from it’s secure casing and begins it’s run toward it’s surprised and unsuspecting target.

OCC: In all likelihood I'm not going to add any of those aircraft due to either their age of service or that modern aircraft exist that fulfill the same roles at about the same cost as those you listed. However, don't quote me on that as I haven't fully made up my mind yet. As I say, this storefront is never finished and is always a work in progress.

However, you might be interested to know that I'm working on a custom project with capabilities similar to the OV-1, the OV-10 Bronco along with other similar aircraft. In place of adding them I might do an upgrade of the A-7 II and the F-8 giving those aircraft 21st century technology. Though at this point all of the above is conjecture and it will be some time before I get around to making up my mind. Just looking at my list of custom projects should give you a good idea of how long it might be.

I'm sorry that wasn't the answer you were looking for, but it's the best I could do at the moment.

Sorry, meant just the weapons themselves. For communications, it would be no problem using existing systems for my nation, and existing thermal-capable satellites, ground-based observation and OTH (Over the Horizon) radars are sufficient for detection and tracking.

But my country's Defense Ministry believes that we need a more substantial kill vehicle, because while our PAC-3 Patriots are good at picking off the stuf that's already on its way down, we would prefer not to waste that much time.

OCC: Yes, I offer a variety of Missile Defense systems, but before I can offer concrete suggestions I would need to know what exactly your trying to defend against. Aircraft, Cruise Missiles or Ballistic Missiles. Any of those would require in all likelihood a different system to combat it though missiles are getting better about being able to handle multiple threats. However, from your impression I'm getting you seem to be most concern about Ballistic Missiles.

Thank you, yes, you are 100% correct that my government is looking for anti-ballistic missile weapons systems, preferably with capabilities beyond our existing Patriot PAC-3 sites.

We are eternally grateful for the help (OOC: And glad you saw your show).

OCC: Thank you and as to your question. The only modern system that is currently beyond the capabilities of the PAC-3 is the MEADS system or Medium Extended Air Defence System. Which is what I used along with a few other assets. However, it should be keep in mind that once a modern Ballistic missile reaches it's second stage the game is pretty much over. Modern ABMs systems are at their best only going to be able to get around 50-60% of the incoming warheads and that's at their best in optimal conditions. The only truly effective anti-ballistic missile defense is oddly enough a another ballistic missile.

However, since NS isn't the real world, some other systems I would suggest looking into is the Arrow 2, THAAD (Theatre High Altitude Area Defense), S-400 Triumf and the ABL YAL 1A. Coming up with your own custom defense is also a good idea which is what I'm currently working on.

OCC: Thank you and as to your question. The only modern system that is currently beyond the capabilities of the PAC-3 is the MEADS system or Medium Extended Air Defence System. Which is what I used along with a few other assets. However, it should be keep in mind that once a modern Ballistic missile reaches it's second stage the game is pretty much over. Modern ABMs systems are at their best only going to be able to get around 50-60% of the incoming warheads and that's at their best in optimal conditions. The only truly effective anti-ballistic missile defense is oddly enough a another ballistic missile.

However, since NS isn't the real world, some other systems I would suggest looking into is the Arrow 2, THAAD (Theatre High Altitude Area Defense), S-400 Triumf and the ABL YAL 1A. Coming up with your own custom defense is also a good idea which is what I'm currently working on.

After thinking about it for awhile, I think I'm gonna go with an upgrade of the Safeguard Program, with ground-based nuclear-tipped interceptor missiles boosted into space for pre-reentry intercepts. I figure if the U.S. had it in the 1960s, and it worked, why not?

Can't work on it now, but I'd like to work on updated Spartan (LIM-49) and Sprint missiles for this system, for sale through UEMS.

OCC: Oddly, enough I was in the process of laying the ground work for an aircraft similar to the AC-130E, a be it one more advance. I've already done some preliminary research. OCC2: Before I approve your order I have a few things to clarify. For starters, if you could slow down a little bit when you type and think about what your going to say first, it would help a lot. Doing a spell check would also greatly assist those you are roleplaying with as it would catch any spelling errors you might have made. Another good idea you might want to consider is rereading what you just wrote before you post it. Now, I don’t know if English is your first language or not, but even if it isn’t following just one of those steps above I mention will greatly assist you in allowing you to better communicate your thoughts with us here in the NS world. If you said that I would *want/like to acquire* production rights for the nimitz carrier, Ohio Class SSBN/SSGN, AH-64D apache and F-22 Raptor-Ok, just so your aware, this will be consider a new order and that as a result of placing so many orders at the same time, there will be a slight delay in delivery[few days=few years] to allow your defense budget to recoup and not exceed our ten year rule. Unless, of course you decided to take a loan to pay what you can't currently afford. Setting off a nuclear device high in the atmosphere above your own country is not a very good idea for your citizens nor for the world. Not only would you have to deal with the EMP over a wide area knocking out most if not the majority of your electronic systems that are not shielded against EMP, you then would have to contend with the nuclear fallout in the form of radioactive particles. Your only safe guard would be to hope the winds in the upper or lower atmosphere were blowing away from any major city centers or away from your country for that matter. All in all, it would be a nightmare and most nations of the world we be pretty pissed off at you for using nuclear weapons in that way.

Just like the real world, the use of weapons of mass destruction within nationstates is not to be taken lightly. To give you a good idea of why they shouldn't be used in the manner you describe, I would consult the following article as a good start. I'll give you the EMP effect, though that was because the warheads were configured more for Neutron production (to disable enemy ICBMs in that manner) rather than destroying them through the actual blast. In a revised system (like I hope to work on) the yield could be greatly reduced thanks to modern guidance systems allowing the interceptor to detonate at a much closer range, achieving the same effect of eliminating hostile ICBMs while using a smaller payload and booster rocket (making the system more economical, which was the main reason why Safeguard was scrapped in the first place).

Additionally, a high altitude airburst (most likely around 300-500 miles, while the ICBM is in the midcourse phase) will produce a minimum of fallout, which would still be much-preferable to an actual ICBM strike on a nation. Fallout is generated by ground debris sucked up into a nuclear blast and irradiated, then strewn about by wind. Since there is no ground debris at 400 miles alititude (I split the difference), fallout will be minimized.

Since this system is designed as a strategic missile shield, I doubt that any WMD concerns will apply, since any nation using these weapons will already have nuclear missiles in the air heading in their direction. National survival trumps environmental concerns. Both missiles I propose (Spartans and Sprints) have successfully intercepted test missiles without producing apocalyptic levels of fallout or crippling EMP bursts.

Besides, the Russians and United States still maintain nuclear-tipped ABM capabilities (specifically the A-135 system for Russia, and Sprint missiles for the U.S.), so I feel that offering an enhanced real-world, improved (to the point of practicality) strategic missile defense system would work.

Though if the nuclear warhead is such an issue, the main booster rocket could easily be converted to carry a hit-to kill payload in its place, rendering the entire issue moot, and still giving UEMS a practical Ground-Based Interceptor for strategic defense.
