Greetings, once again our navy is in need of replacing many vital ships, this time our Amphibious Assault Ships. During wargames with our allies, we have determined that the Shadow Harbor-class LHD is far superior to our other AAS, the San Giorgio, and our allies America-Class ships & San Antonio class ships. As such, we have decided to replace all our AAS with new Shadow Harbors. This comes to 48 Shadow Harbors.

However, we wish for several modifications to them. The first modification is the addition of a Mk. 41 Strike VLS be installed, perferably built attached to the back of the Island. The second is that the NATO Seasparrow launchers be replaced with ESSM launchers. The final modification is that it be equipped with bow thrusters for increased manuverablility.

If there's no extra costs for the requested modifications, this order will come to a total of $153,600,000,000 USD.

OCC: That's because the Shadow Harbor is basically a converted Aircraft Carrier design. Which means your basically getting 48 Carriers, just instead of space devoted to an large air wing, that space is devoted to Amphibious Assaults instead. As for the modifications, replacing the Sea Sparrow missiles with the more advance ESSM is simple enough. However, the other two request are a little more complicated due to the design limitations. Due to space requirements adding a Mk.41 VLS is currently not possible as is adding bow thrusters. However, I have plans to do another large Assault Ship that is slightly smaller then the Shadow Harbor, so adding those into the design into the beginning would be a lot easier then retrofitting the Shadow Harbor with them. Besides, once I get that write up done on the FAAFDV, you'll have VLS cells coming out of every which way making the need to add an VLS system to an assault ship pointless. However, I’ll look over my design specs again later and see if I can find room to add at least a small Mk.41 VLS system of around 8 to 16 cells, but don’t get your hopes up, the Shadow Harbor is packed as it is.

OCC: I made a few modifications to what you requested, the main one being the removal of the ability to fire a rifle grenade. The main reason being that with the integrated use of a grenade launcher, the ability to fire a rifle grenade was sort of redundant and only added complexity to an already complex design. There were other reasons and I can state what they were if you so desire, suffice to say it just wasn't worth adding it to the design. I hope you understand.

Panzergrenadiergewehr I (PzGrG I)
Developed by Imperial Ordnance upon an request submitted by the Rheinguian Department of Military Purchases for a new rifle using a 7.62x51mm round. The Panzergrenadiergewehr I or PzGrG I for short as it’s designation become known, is like all weapons built by UEMS, a truly modular weapon system made almost entirely out of a tough, carbon-fiber reinforced-polymer and uses a simple, clean-shooting, self-regulating operating rod gas system. The PzGrG I is a combination weapon, which has a 7.62x51mm caliber assault rifle as it’s primary part and an modified XM320 compact 40mm semi-automatic grenade launcher with it’s buttstock removed as its secondary part. Both parts are assembled into a single one-man portable unit to cut down on weight, as a result the 40mm grenade launcher is not detachable for use as a separate component.

The mechanical ladder sights on the XM320 are located on the side of the grenade launcher, not the host weapon. The XM320 has a double action trigger, ensuring true primer strike, with an ambidextrous safety and ambidextrous barrel release lever. In case of misfire, the XM320 user merely has to pull the trigger again, versus the M203 operator who has to cycle the breech to re-cock the firing pin, then pull the trigger again. The XM320’s side-loading, rifled barrel is constructed of aluminum for light weightiness and is spring actuated for quick loading and unloading. The XM320 barrel measures 8.46 inches (215 mm) and itself weighs only 2.8 lbs compared to other 40mm grenade launchers in the five to six pound range, thereby saving weight for enhanced combat performance and a cost savings over the weapons lifetime.

Though not a lightweight weapon by any stretch of the imagination, the PzGrG I is lighter compared to other weapons that use an attached 40mm grenade launcher by use of it’s permanent integration of both the assault rifle and the 40mm grenade launcher into a single unit, then if the two were separate attachments as on other weapons. The PzGrG I uses a 20 in. [508mm] chrome-plated specialty steel barrel, manufactured using UEMS's proprietary cold hammer forging process for long service life and accuracy. The main weapon components (receiver, trigger group, buttstock, handguard and carrying handle) are made of corrosion-proof polymer with stainless steel inserts. This keeps weight low without sacrificing strength, durability, or robustness. Magazines are also made of translucent high-strength polymer and can be locked together without a magazine clamp. The PzGrG I gas system does not direct fouling back into the weapon’s interior like conventional gas operated rifles. This insures reliable operation even after firing thousands of rounds without cleaning. The polymer components can easily be cleaned with water-based cleaning solutions, or even water. A variety of sighting systems are available to suit customers needs, including the Dual Combat Sight (combined electronic "red dot" reflex and optical 3 power telescopic) can be installed directly on the top of the PzGrG I receiver. A Picatinny-type rail system can also be mounted on the receiver to accommodate virtually any accessory optic or mechanical sight a foreign customer might desire.

The PzGrG I is a conventional gas operated, selective fire rifle based on the proven operating system of the G-36 and the HK 416/417 series of assault rifles. The operating system of the PzGrG I uses a short stroke gas piston, located above the barrel, square-shaped bolt carrier and the typical rotating bolt with 7 locking lugs. The bolt carrier rides on a single guide rod, with the return spring around it. The charging handle is attached to the top of the bolt carrier and can be rotated to the left or to the right. When not in use, the charging handle aligns itself with the axis of the weapon under the pressure of its own spring, and reciprocates with the bolt group at the top of the receiver. The gas block is fitted with the self-adjustable gas valve that expels all the used gases forward, away from the shooter. The ejection window is located at the right side of the receiver and features a spent cases deflector to propel the ejected cases away from the face of the left-handed shooter. All the major parts are assembled on the receiver using the cross-pins, so the rifle can be disassembled and reassembled back without any tools.

The trigger unit on the PzGrG I is assembled in a separate plastic housing, integral with the pistol grip and the trigger guard. Thanks to this feature, a wide variety of firing mode combinations can be used on the PzGrG I, simply by installing the appropriate trigger unit. Standard options are single shots, full automatic fire, 2 or 3 round bursts in any reasonable combinations. The default version is the single shots + 2 rounds burst + full auto. The ambidextrous fire selector lever also serves as a safety switch.

The PzGrG I is fed from the proprietary 20 or 30-round box magazines, made from translucent plastic. All magazines have special studs on its sides, so two or three magazines can be clipped together for faster reloading. The magazine housings of the PzGrG I are made as a separate part, making it easier to adjust to the various magazine interfaces. By the standard, the magazine release catch is located just behind the magazine, in the G3 or AK-47 style, rather than on the side of the magazine housing (M16-style). The side-folding skeletonized buttstock is standard on the PzGrG I rifle. It folds to the right side and does not interfere with rifle operation when folded.

The standard sighting equipment of the PzGrG I consists of TWO scopes- one 3.5X telescope sight below, with the second 1X red-dot sight above it. The sights are completely independent, with the former suitable for long range accurate shooting, and the latter suitable for the fast target acquisition at the short ranges. Both sights are built into the plastic carrying handle. An single 1.5X telescope sight, with emergency open sights molded into the top of the carrying handle can be requested instead. As the PzGrG I is already fitted with a integrated 40mm grenade launcher, it is not designed to be fitted with one. However, the PzGrG I can be fitted with various type of bayonets.

OCC: How high of a payload did you have in mind? Does it need to maintain a speed of Mach 1.25+ for an extended period of time, I.E. supercruise ability or were you thinking more of it as a dash speed. Remember, Mach speeds burn through fuel very quickly thereby cutting down on range. I do have plans in the works on a design for a stealth fighter bomber that will be larger and thereby able to carry a bigger payload then the F-22A, but smaller then the B-2 so making it even more harder to detect, but with a similar range if aerial refueling is taken into account. Yes, it will be able to launch the AGM-129, plus a crap load of other bombs and guided missiles plus quite a few other goodies I have in mind that I'm hesitant to go into right now. Though I wasn't planning on starting the write up for same time, 6 months to a year, if this sounds like something that meets your design criteria I'd be willing to bump up the write up for the design to at or near the front of the line, which means it would be done within a few months at the most.

OCC2: When I do my next update in about a week or so, I'll be glad to add the AGM-129 to my list of products.

We're looking for something similar to the PW J58 or GE YJ-93, that is it's designed to have a very efficient afterburner. It'd have to maintain at least Mach 1.5 for about four hours, probably longer but we'd prefer it to be capable of going to around Mach 3 for 'sprinting'.

The bomber would need to be capable of high-speed, high-risk, deep penetration missions with minimal maintenance. (Nothing like the B2's climate controlled hanger.) It'd need to have a maximum range of somewhere around 3,400-4,000 miles, depending on the speed. Finally, the bomber would need a payload of something like the B-52H and be capable of mid-air refueling.

OCC and some IC: If, your getting that there is an 140mm gun available for the Type99 MBT from the wiki article then I'm sorry to inform you that whoever edited that in is incorrect, there is no 140mm gun available. This is why, I try to avoid using wiki articles whenever possible. However, I [UEMS] does produce a wide range of tank guns in 100mm, 105mm, 120mm, 125mm, 130mm and soon a 155mm version. So, if you want for whatever reason to add in a 140mm gun, it's possible just note that it would require a write up as it would drastically alter the design of the Type99.

We're looking for something similar to the PW J58 or GE YJ-93, that is it's designed to have a very efficient afterburner. It'd have to maintain at least Mach 1.5 for about four hours, probably longer but we'd prefer it to be capable of going to around Mach 3 for 'sprinting'.

The bomber would need to be capable of high-speed, high-risk, deep penetration missions with minimal maintenance. (Nothing like the B2's climate controlled hanger.) It'd need to have a maximum range of somewhere around 3,400-4,000 miles, depending on the speed. Finally, the bomber would need a payload of something like the B-52H and be capable of mid-air refueling.

Before, I get into the technically details of your submission, I thought it best first to make a few things crystal clear. While our company prides itself on being on the cutting edge of technology in devising new and unique weapons of war, your request is a little outside our field of expertise. The time has come, we always knew in our hearts that one day this might happen, but we had hoped that it somehow could be at the least prevented or at the most avoided. Neither it seems was meant to be. This event has been in the making for years and it was only a matter of time before it reached a boiling point. For those of you, our loyal customers who are not aware of why this is happening, allow me to explain. Many years ago, when our company started to undergo a massive growth period, a few leaders both local and national whose local states and provinces were host to our corporate headquarters and a few of our factories, began to complain, make demands and impose restrictions upon our company. At first, in the interest of a cooperative work environment we made the upmost effort to meet these new standards as in the beginning we saw these new standards having little to no effect except to assure the local populations that their concerns were our concerns. However, year after year the complaints, demands and restrictions grew longer and longer until we could no longer compromise, which brings us to our current point in time.

Effective Immediately, we our closing our doors for an unknown amount of time and until further notice will no longer be accepting purchase orders.
