Your small arms amount is larger then the amount I have listed in the package you designated and at first I tried to see if you wanted more then one package, but the amounts didn't come out even. So, that brings me to B. Are the small arms amount separate from the package I.E. you want both or did you want me to subtract the package amounts from your list of small arms amount and charge for the rest of the weapons as individuals or was their some other system you had in mind I'm not seeing? Finally, in the Ground Warfare package, you didn't meet your quota for support vehicles and are able to choose up to two hundred [200] more vehicles. Just thought I let you know. BTW, in case your worried, all discounts that you qualify for now, will still apply once I hear back from you and get your order sorted out. OCC: First starters, when I said "in the right hands" that's not what I meant. In hindsight, I guess I could have worded it better, but I digress. What I was trying to saying was using the aircraft any aircraft for that matter for what it was designed for not for what it wasn't. The Mig 31 was never meant to be used as a dogfighter [Air Superiority Fighter], so it's not surprising when those in the real world or in the NS world get there asses handle to them when they take on aircraft built for the sole purpose of engaging in aerial combat like the F-22A. If used with an understanding of what the aircraft limitations are, the Mig 31 is a superb aircraft if used within it's design parameters, i.e. as a fighter interceptor against low flying bombers and cruise missiles.

While, I didn't see Canedian Army's F-22 rush, were he/she to try that against me he/she would of been in for a rude awakening. It's not my fault most of those people are ignorant of tactics and strategy and have been playing too many RTS's where the winning strategy is to throw as many units as quickly as possible against the enemy, I should know I've played my fair share of them. In the real world, if your opponent is at all a capable and intelligent foe, while your numbers may at the end of the day win the battle, they would have inflicted so many causalities on you as to make it seem as your victory was a defeat.

As for the moment they take off their killed, combat experience or now, if you let your operated win or have air dominance over the battlefield, you have more to worry about then a simple case of losing pilots and aircraft as soon as they take-off.

While, he bought Mig-31s. You'd have to ask him, I'm just happy to have the business. Employed people are happy people, well most of the time and keeping over 9 billion people employed and happy is not an easy job.

Finally, while I agree the Sukhoi company make some beautiful aircraft as do Dassault, I'd have to go with the heyday of prop era combat aircraft. P-51s, Spitfires, Hellcats, BF-109s, etc...Aerial combat at it's finest...

As part of a military experiment, we request the Iowa-class vessel to be modified into a Cardinal Vaccarella-class experimental siege battleship (http://i43.tinypic.com/2mqje49.jpg), and three Yamatos to be turned into our Emissary-class experimental AA battleship (http://i39.tinypic.com/2u9gzcz.jpg). The Bismarcks shall be left mostly unchanged, except we want the turrets of the ships to be removed, as we will do further modifications in our own shipyards. All the removed turrets, equipment and armor from the modifications should be re-sent to Birkaine.

We will provide the missiles, launchers and radars.

IC: With your assistance, we foresee no major problems in converting those vessels into their experimental designs. The modification of the Cardinal Vaccarella Class, however will take a little longer due to the needed hull redesign. Finally, instead of removing all that equipment and armor from the bismark class vessels, in our opinion it would easier just to lay a new keel and deliver the basic hull without the topside additions. This would allow your nation to make those modifications you feel are necessary without having to tear the design apart. Of, course we would also delivery the equipment that would of normally come with the vessels should it had been completed.

OCC: I meant to mention this earlier, but I forget. In regards to the use of diesel engines, while certainly possible will result in the need to add more engines to equal the same power output a single gas turbine can provide though a greater fuel efficiency will be one of the positive advantages of using an all diesel configuration. However, some of the disadvantages will be slower acceleration and more heavier overall weight due to the need to have more diesel engines to make up the loss of the more powerful gas turbines.

OCC2: Do you want me to do some type of write up and you give me what weapons and equipment you want added or is this going to be a joint project of some kind from the sounds of it? One additional thing I thought I should bring to your attention, the Cardinal Vaccarella Class while interesting has a major drawback that will end up making it a not so practical weapon. Those guns and casemates on the out hull near the waterline will end up getting flooded in anything, but calm seas making them unuseable in most conditions including combat. You also have to add in the fact that maintenance of the guns and their equipment is going to be a major headache once exposed to the harsh conditions of the sea. You might want to think about removing that from the design all together and reworking those guns and their casemates into somewhere else on the design. If not, then you'll end up with a design like the following only slightly worse off when it comes to sea

IC: With your assistance, we foresee no major problems in converting those vessels into their experimental designs. The modification of the Cardinal Vaccarella Class, however will take a little longer due to the needed hull redesign. Finally, instead of removing all that equipment and armor from the bismark class vessels, in our opinion it would easier just to lay a new keel and deliver the basic hull without the topside additions. This would allow your nation to make those modifications you feel are necessary without having to tear the design apart. In regards to the use of diesel engines, while certainly possible will result in the need to add more engines to equal the same power output a single gas turbine can provide though a greater fuel efficiency will be one of the positive advantages of using an all diesel configuration. However, some of the disadvantages will be slower acceleration and more heavier overall weight due to the need to have more diesel engines to make up the loss of the more powerful gas turbines.

OCC2: Do you want me to do some type of write up and you give me what weapons and equipment you want added or is this going to be a joint project of some kind from the sounds of it? One additional thing I thought I should bring to your attention, the Cardinal Vaccarella Class while interesting has a major drawback that will end up making it a not so practical weapon. Those guns and casemates on the out hull near the waterline will end up getting flooded in anything, but calm seas making them unuseable in most conditions including combat. You also have to add in the fact that maintenance of the guns and their equipment is going to be a major headache once exposed to the harsh conditions of the sea. You might want to think about removing that from the design all together and reworking those guns and their casemates into somewhere else on the design. As for a joint project, I would be honored :p The battleships were developped for the single purpose of massive, non-nuclear coastal bombarment. The Cardinal Vaccarella fires the massive, Birkanian-built RT-105 medium-range ballistic rocket with a FAE warhead (never liked nukes) of imposing size, ideal for anihilating the economies of countries that are highly depend on shore installations such as refineries. It also works for turning potential D-day-like massacres into a group of Landing Ships calmly unloading soldiers into charred wastelands. RT-105s are stored in large hangars inside the ship and are taken to the launch rails by the large cranes onboard. The ship itself has cutting-edge targetting systems and scanners to avoid wasting any potential fortress-cracking shots.

The RT-105 is massive and relatively slow, so the Emissary is meant to actually escort those rockets. The Emissary gets in between the Vaccarellas and the enemy coast, and it's used to block out anti-missile attacks from stuff such as S-300 or Patriot missiles; and shred interceptors with its advanced anti-air suite and AEGIS systems. That means it's a counter-countermeasure ship. It can deploy F-35C's, and several UAV's to serve as spotters for the rockets.

It's not my fault most of those people are ignorant of tactics and strategy and have been playing too many RTS's where the winning strategy is to throw as many units as quickly as possible against the enemy, I should know I've played my fair share of them. In the real world, if your opponent is at all a capable and intelligent foe, while your numbers may at the end of the day win the battle, they would have inflicted so many causalities on you as to make it seem as your victory was a defeat.

As for the moment they take off their killed, combat experience or now, if you let your operated win or have air dominance over the battlefield, you have more to worry about then a simple case of losing pilots and aircraft as soon as they take-off.

While, he bought Mig-31s. You'd have to ask him, I'm just happy to have the business. Employed people are happy people, well most of the time and keeping over 9 billion people employed and happy is not an easy job.

Finally, while I agree the Sukhoi company make some beautiful aircraft as do Dassault, I'd have to go with the heyday of prop era combat aircraft. P-51s, Spitfires, Hellcats, BF-109s, etc...Aerial combat at it's finest...

There's many variables of effective that have to be/are taken into count, which understandably most don't on NS as military commanders in the real world would. Just some of those variables include cost, operational tempo and readiness rates. Take your example for example, yes the F22A is a superb aircraft when it comes into infiltrating into enemy airspace undetected. However, just using those three factors above can show the F22A not to be as effective as say a cheaper less stealthier aircraft would of been in certain situations. Cost: Real governments and to a limited extent NS governments are limited in how much funding they can devote to military matters. Purchasing military equipment is most of the time very expensive and time consuming. So for your example, let’s say the nation that is using the F22A in your situation only has a few dozen operational total and at that only a small squadron [6 aircraft max] currently based in the theater. On the other hand, that nation in question has at least a dozen full strength squadrons of other air assets such as F-16s, Gripens, Mirage2000s, UAVs such as the predator, etc... currently based in-theater. Also, assuming that nation in question has managed to achieved local air superiority for the time being. Which, would you rather use/risk given the following above circumstances. A 100+ million aircraft that at best can only carry a few heavy precision bombs or an proven relative cheap aircraft like the F-16 or F-15 that is literally a flying bomb truck or on the other hand risk no pilot and just send in a 20+ million UAV that can carry the same ordinance as the F22A. Same capabilities, at half the cost and half the risk depending on the platform.

While, the next two are closely related, they do deserve their own category. So, the nation in question has used their limited amount of F22s and managed to gain local air superiority. Do you at this point take those F22s off their current mission and reassign it’s squadron the task of ground support/hitting strategic targets at the risk of giving your enemy a break to try to regain the initiative in the air all at the same time your wearing down your F22s squadron fighting efficiency or do you give your F22 squadron a rest period and assign those support tasks to other air assets allowing them to increase their readiness rates and be ready again to resume a high operational tempo should the enemy again contest your control of the air. Planes and pilots both suffer from breakdowns and their comes a point when the effectiveness of the unit is less then it’s combat value. So, yes there are more powerful aircraft out there then the Mig-31, but that power comes at a cost. I could go on, but to recap the point I am trying to make in case it wasn’t clear enough is that effective and better are very subjective terms.

OCC: As for the adding of the SIG 510/Stgw. 57. I try to limit additions of real world equipment to that actually still in service in some way though I do make exceptions. However, for linage sake I may consider adding it, but for now it just doesn't make sense because other weapons fulfil the same design requirements and at a cheaper cost, including weapons from the same company that made the SIG 510/Stgw. 57. As for distinctness and similarity with other rifles. Maybe's just me from looking at to many rifles over the years, but aside from the use of it's ammunition the Stgw. 57 really isn’t that unique. Now, it's a given most assault rifles are going to look alike because well, their designed for the most part to fulfil the same tasks and purposes. However, just looking at the SIG 510/Stgw.57 from a design standpoint the weapon is not all that distinctive. Compare it to the FN FAL or the HK G3, paying particular attention to the overall designs. Look very similar don't they, there's a reason for that.

As for improving on the SIG 510/Stgw. 57 itself, that's already been done if you have a look at the later SIG models. Beyond a few additions or changes there's little I could improve on. If, you look closely you should also note that the later SIG models look similar to the SIG 510/Stgw. 57, which again is not surprising at least to me.

However, with all that said. I am working on a new assault rifle design for my nation that will incorporate various concepts from other nations to build the best, at least in my nations eyes assault rifle after the disaster that was the UE "Enforcer".

OCC: For starters, the Poseidon family is not an land attack cruise missile, but an large anti-shipping missile designed for that specific purpose. Though, in theory it could be reconfigured to be used again as an land attack cruise missile as it shares many similarities with the Tomahawk and other cruise missiles. With that stated, I can commission a design for you, but it would be some time before I got to the write up. However, if you are interested in the Poseidon, depending on how much lobbing your prepared to do, I might be willing to make an exception just for you and release it for export. Though your should be aware that it might be toned down a bit to allow it to pass those requirements for which it has been placed under export control, namely the armor-piercing warhead. However, I'll decided all that if and when you actually decide to commit to pursue the weapon which will take some good lobbying on your part, though in all fairness the lobbying would probably be quicker then waiting for a unique write up which takes some time.

Another route you could go is to purchase the SS-N-27 Sizzler which is one of the weapons that inspired me to create the Poseidon family of missiles. Though, I don't currently have the SS-N-27 currently for sale, I'm planning on adding it soon. However, it should be noted both the SS-N-27 and the Poseidon are not designed to be fired from the Mk41 launcher. However, the SS-N-27 can be fired from torpedoes and airplanes, while the Poseidon can only currently be fired from aircraft. The SS-N-27 can attack both land and sea targets, while the Poseidon while in theory could attack both, it is currently only designed for sea attack. An 850 to 1000km range is possible, but only at the expanse of speed and weight. As for the Mach 7-8 capability, if you want that from a missile, your better off going with a Ballistic Missile then a cruise missile. Both missiles have an Passive/active/home-on jam capability. An Inter-missile data linking is possible, but neither missile is currently equipped with that capability, though in the future the Poseidon might be added with that capability in the future.

OOC: With what you've said in mind, I'd be willing to purchase the DPR rights for the SS-N-27 as soon as it gets out. I'd respond IC, but it'd be odd to respond to a message that didn't exist. :)

IC: The PUE-4 as the weapon designation become known within United Earthlings is the latest weapons development from the famous United Earthlings Land Systems (UELS) division of United Earthling Military Systems. Development began when an request for an Personnel Defense Weapon or PDW, similar to the PP-19 Bizon for use by special forces was submitted by the nation of Anemos Major. Like all current PDW weapons, the main niche for the PUE-4 is as a personal defense weapon for non-infantry military personnel, as well as a close combat weapon for special forces and law enforcement tactical units like SWAT. As such, it is a compact weapon with as few parts as possible for enhanced reliability, simplified maintenance and low cost. This includes the use of high-strength plastics which allows a reduced weight and an increased resistance to corrosion.

The PUE-4 personal defense weapon has the layout of a typical compact submachine gun (or a large pistol), with the magazine being inserted into the pistol grip, with a folding forward grip and telescoped buttstock. The action of the PUE-4 is a gas operated, rotating bolt design, which strongly resembles the action of the HK G36 assault rifle, suitably scaled down. The ambidextrous fire mode selector/safety switch allows for semi-auto and full-auto modes. The PUE-4 is designed to fire standard 9x19mm "ball" (FMJ) and .45 ACP ammunition, as well as special, high velocity ammunition like the 4.6x30mm as used in the MP7, the 5.7x28mm as used in the P90 and finally the 9mm 7N31 armor piercing cartridge. When loaded with the various types of special high velocity ammo, the PUE-4 offers enhanced penetration against body armor depending on the exact type of ammunition used, while maintaining stopping power against soft targets.

The receiver of the PUE-4, along with the integral pistol grip, is made from polymer with steel reinforcements. The top side of the receiver hosts a Picatinny-type accessory rail for sight mountings. Standard sighting equipment is usually a set of low-profile open sights on quick-detachable mounts, plus a collimating (red-dot) sight. Additional rails can be installed on either side of receiver, next to its front end. The PUE-4 can be fired single-handedly, or using both hands, either like the pistol or using a front grip. Telescopic buttstock can be extended to give additional stability. With both the buttstock and front grip collapsed, the PUE-4 can be carried like any big pistol in the special holster, and can be effectively used in close combat. It's main armament is going to be built around two very large VLS systems which as you know are modular meaning various types of weapons could be used. Though for what I have in mind, the entirely of those VLS systems are going to be filled to the brink with various types of SAMs, they could in theory be tailored to say fire all tomahawks or some other type of similar cruise missile for a dedicated land attack role or whatever the user decides they want to place in the VLS. I try to keep my designs as modular as possible to allow them to be tailored to different uses should I or others think of new uses for the design. If, this has really got you interested then I hope to see some firm pre-orders for it. Other then that, it will be some time before I get around to designing it as I have 2 to 3 designs ahead of it I'm planning on doing.

However, a large arsenal ship would be a good addition to a fully-integrated AA suite, because of small vessels such as frigates. While such vessels have the AEGIS capability of tracking hundreds of targets and engaging them all, they don't even have enough missiles to destroy all engaged contacts (64 SAMs for the Alvaro de Balzan). An arsenal ship would be essentially that, an arsenal chock-full of missiles for AA vessels to "borrow" firepower from, so it doesn't need to have advanced sensors, since the radar data could be datalinked from less-efficient ships. The AS could launch the missiles, and other ships could easily guide them into the general direction of the target.

However, a large arsenal ship would be a good addition to a fully-integrated AA suite, because of small vessels such as frigates. While such vessels have the AEGIS capability of tracking hundreds of targets and engaging them all, they don't even have enough missiles to destroy all engaged contacts (64 SAMs for the Alvaro de Balzan). An arsenal ship would be essentially that, an arsenal chock-full of missiles for AA vessels to "borrow" firepower from, so it doesn't need to have advanced sensors, since the radar data could be datalinked from less-efficient ships. The AS could launch the missiles, and other ships could easily guide them into the general direction of the target.

IC: The Birkanian goverment would like to pre-order 6 of these new frigates. If proven succesful, then a much larger order will be made.

OCC: Well, the gun club are not as behind as you seem to think, as I said the design is not going to be an arsenal ship per say, but an platform design specially to deal with Anti-air threats of all types and that includes brimming to the brink with CIWS. I've haven't worked out all the design requirements so the vessel may end up being the size of a destroyer by the time I work everything out, but I'm hopping to keep the size and weight down, but in the end that may not be possible so will see. Oh, the vessel I'm building is going to have radar, in fact it's going to have two radar systems and it will have enough missiles to destroy any wave sent at it, double when you take into account that the average fleet will have 2 to 4 of these vessels at least mine will.

IC: Your request for six vessels has been approved and if you so desire for a small fee, you may join the program currently known as the AAFDV project to add your input as we begin building test builds before starting full production on the future AA fleet defense vessel or AAFDV.

The Holy Office of War and Internal Affairs finds the weapon more than satisfactory, and would like to purchase 600 of the weapons, as well as DPRs. We thank you for the effort put into the weapon's design.

OOC: Nothing's missing. The fact that it can use a sixty round magazine is good enough for me (I asked for a weapons with a hellical magazine like the PP-19 Bizon- see here (http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/bizon.shtml) or (http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg08-e.htm). However, a weapon like the MP7 works just as well, and it's perfect for field operatives, especially with an in-built silencer.

OCC: Well your vessels may, but mine won't as all my equipment is built to a higher standard. I.E. it's meant to last and take a beating, proven you give it proper maintenance over it's lifecycle. When I build a vessel I design into it ab estimated lifecycle of 50 to 100 years of constant use depending on the specific vessel.

As for your package request, for starters your spot on as that's what a package is, a focus on allowing a nation a basic start up whether that be for their Army, Air Force, Navy, etc... I think you'd be hard pressed to find any storefront selling the package you want as packages were never intended to deal with replacement losses, that's what your own Naval Industries are there for by either building new designs of your own or acquiring DPRs from others. Still, I'm always open to new ideas so if you have a specific idea for a package or any other additions send them to me and I'll take a look at them and see about adding them specifically or some part of them.

OCC2: 5 stages at 10 a year would make it 5 years not 6. Unless your counting end delivery which would then be 6, the very beginning of 6. Anyway, on to the order.

OCC: No, as I try to limit my list to fully assembled equipment. Though I've been thinking about adding a new section or two to deal with the subcomponents of the various equipment I sell. I've been putting it off mostly for two reasons, one I would first have to have a ready list of at least a few dozen items to add and two, it seems to me it would require a complete redesign of the storefront and there's only one way to do that. A New Thread!

So, sometime long in the future the long history of this storefront might come to a abrupt end, until then in answer to your question yes I've consider it among many other additions based around the same idea for other equipment, no I currently have no plans to add that section.
