IC: "There are seven normal techniques, but 3 more for the more experienced among us. I see you can do the technique, now for the force. Do this."

He shoved his hand out to the side and lifted up a chair, he swung his hand to the left and the chair flew across the room, narrowly missing Hilard. "Concentrate and you should feel the force flow through you."

Hilard watched, slightly in awe, as Master Ishiak easily picked up a chair and threw it across the room with no visible support. He stared at the chair, and tried to imagine it floating up into the air. He did this for almost ten minutes, trying to imagine...something...flowing through him, but all he managed to accomplish was a bead of sweat dripping down into his eye. He wiped it away and turned to Master Ishiak, saying "Master Ishiak, I really hate to say this, but I have absolutely no idea what I am supposed to be doing."

He hated to admit it to himself, but he had to relize that he might not be cut out for this. He had heard that only a select few were actually force sensitive. Perhaps he was not one of these lucky beings. He hoped he was, but it did not look to good.

Del led the boy to his room and told him to rest a little bit.

"So Liam.....where is your family?" Del asked with concern in his voice.

Ishiak saw the look of shame on his padawan's face, "Don't worry, with training you will do it. Do not beat yourself down over something so minor. Can you meditate at all?"

Leaping up onto a chair like the child he was, he sat with his legs dangling. He seemed like a cheerful boy... nervous and scared maybe, but an innocent fun loving boy nonetheless.

At the mention of his family he perked up, though remained cheerful. "Mommy and Daddy said they had to go somewhere... but they will be back," Liam replied. "Any day now they will return with that man and pick me up." He said it with an innocent ignorance in his voice.

Del showed sadness at the boy's reply, he knew what happened. "Who is this man, and what did he do?"

"I don't know who he is," Liam replied, "He had some friends with him when he arrived, but mommy told me to hide when their shipped landed. She said that they were going on a long trip, but they would return."

A tear appeared in Del's eye. This boy had no family now, he could sense it, he had lost his own son to rogue Sith five years ago, the council had allowed Cereans to have kids due to low birth rates. But he didn't want to worry Liam. "Don't worry I'm here now, and I won't let anything happen to you." he put his arms out for a hug....

"Thank you," Liam said though he didn't respond to the hug - as he didn't see any need to. "Um... so... can I ask a quesiton? Where am I now?"

"You are at the Jedi Academy of Ftang." his arms dropped and he wiped the tear away...

"Whats a Jedi?" Liam asked with curiosity.

"What's a Jedi.....hmmmmm....." he couldn't think how to describe them.

"A jedi is someone who protects good people from evil people." he said in a way Liam would understand

"Yay! I want to be a jedi," he said in an innocent and yet ominous way. "How do I become a jedi!" he said enthusiastically.

"I bet you do," he said ruffling his hair "I shall make you a Jedi, but you must be a good boy." he said with a smile

"Okay... I will be good," Liam said as he smiled showing his pearly white baby teeth.

Something caught his eye as Del moved slightly and his robe revealed his lightsaber.

Del saw the boy's gaze change to his waist, then he remembered. His sabre! He quickly pulled his robe back over it, he didn't want the boy to ask questions about what that is. It may scare him...

Ishiak saw the look of shame on his padawan's face, "Don't worry, with training you will do it. Do not beat yourself down over something so minor. Can you meditate at all?"

Hilard pushed away the thoughts of failure here at the academy, and tried to focus on the now.

"I do not believe I can achieve the state of meditation you do, but I have found ways to calm myself."

"Show me if you will." Ishiak sat back down in his chair, he had to assess his new padawan...

"You will soon but now, you must rest. You have a long day ahead of you my boy, so sleep for a bit." Del left the room after pointing out the bed to Liam.

"Ohhh," Liam sighed as Del left. He lept off the chair and ran to the door, but it had closed. Sighing again, he walked over to his bed and lay down.

Liam nodded and then went to put his shoes on. Taking about five minutes to complete that task of tying his shoes, he headed off towards the indicated room.

A minute early, Liam entered the large room and marveled at the structure.

"Well done, you arrived on time." came a voice from behind Liam, Del had entered the room and began walking towards the boy, he handed him the same metal thing he had seen before, "You will need this." he pulled a different one from out of his belt and wandered to the middle of the room and sat down, "try and concentrate on an object if you can."

Liam was startled and broke his stare as Del entered the room and spoke. He turned to face Del who in turn walked towards him. Liam then saw it - Del handed him the same metal device that he had seen earlier.

Taking it in his small hands, he fiddled with it and examined it as a small child would. Finally his thumb came to the button on the hilt - as his thumb pressed down a bright green light emerged. "Wooohhhh!" was all that Liam could manage to say as he marveled at the lightsaber: the sound, the look, the power.

"Be careful with that," Del noticed what his student was doing. "And don't think about power, down the path the evil people take will it take us."

Liam was barely listening as he watched the saber move in his hands. "Ohhh," Liam sounded as his thumb again brushed the button and the light beam disappeared. "Huh?" he said as he saw Del sitting on the ground.

Liam looked at the chair in the corner and began staring at it. He imagined it floating in the air, which made him laugh on the inside - but nothing happened. The chair didn't move an inch and Liam remained staring at it with a puckered face.

"Concentrate, feel something flow throught you." Del began to look, with eyes closed at a table, which began to float.

"Woh!" Liam exclaimed as the table floated in front of him.

"Less than ten...probably somewhere around six or seven. Before that I participated in a combat sport known as "kick boxing." Have you heard of it Master Ishiak?"

"I have, I have learned all martial arts, thought not mastering them. Can you show me what you know in a short fight, not with me. But with a padawan?"

"I would be honored to Master Ishiak. I am always willing to show others what I know. Who will I be combating against?"

"Excellent, that will be all. Light that sabre, you will be fighting a droid who will shoot at you. And stop the shot with your sabre." a droid appeared in front of Liam and readied for a shot....

Liam knew all abuot droids, being that he had grown up training as a mechanic. He also knew that they could be dangerous if so programmed...

Liam got to his feet and inspected the lightsaber before hitting the button to turn it on. Wohhh... He was again amazed by the glowing sensation that it emitted as it roared to life. He looked at it for a moment before looking up to see the droid about to shoot.

A blaster shot was fired before Liam knew what to do - luckily he had his lightsaber in front of him and the shot bounced off towards the ceiling. Again the droid shot and again Liam held his lightsaber firm, sending the blaster shot to the bookshelf in the back. Again and again it shot with Liam deflecting each blaster shot towards a random surface.

"Try to fire it back into the droid Liam." Del commented

James Blocked the attack but flew out of comtrol and hit a chair. e switched off his saber with a sigh.

"Try to fire it back into the droid Liam." Del commented

"I don't know how!" Liam said as the droid continued to fire blaster shots at him. He merely held his lightsaber out in front of him and blocked the shots.

"Focus on the droid, then turn the sabre to knock it back, don't worry.The blasts do not hurt a lot."

Liam nodded and began focusing on the droid. He turned his lightsaber slightly as the blaster shots came, though they still deflected off into random places.

He began concentrating harder... but as he did a metal crunching noise could be heard and the droid had been crushed into itself.

What?! Del thought. "How did you do that?" he questioned with a loud voice

The loud noise of Del's voice broke Liam's concentration. He turned to face him as he still head his lightsaber in hand. "Huh?! What?" Liam was slightly confused about what had just happened and why Del's was screaming.

"That is a dark power Liam, I'm sorry if I upset you, but you must not use that. It is not the Jedi way."

"Huh?!" Liam said confusedly, "What did I do?" Dark power?

"I apologise, as long as you do not try that on living things, just droids it should be fine. Now go back to your room and rest." he walked out and began thinking about what he had done.....

A passerby noticed the child and talked to him "You seem to be a Jedi, who is your master? Is he tall and old-looking?"

Liam looked up at the person as they spoke to him. He thought for a moment about him before responding, "Yeh... Del."

"Great, thanks. May I ask where to find him, I need to tell him something?" he man asked. Thought rushed through his head of how he was going to tell Del...

"What do you need to tell him?" Liam asked as was in his nature to be inquisitive.

"Something about his family, too personal to tell you im sorry. But where is he please?" he stood firm

"But I want to know!" Liam said firmly as his face again puckered up with the same determination he had showed in the practice room.

His eyes began to show a slight tint of red, "If you really must know, his brother has been killed, as has his sister. So I must find him to tell him, where is he?"

"Oh..." Liam said as he heard the devestating news. He could relate even if he couldn't fully comprehend it yet. He stood silently and pointed down the hall behind him to Del's room.

"Thankyou, and sorry if I sounded angry." he put his hand on the boys shoulder and walked to Del's room.

He knocked on the door,

"Yes?"

"Del, it's Terry."

"Really? It's been so long, come in." Del said as he jumped up and opened the door, he showed Terry to his seat. "So, how have you been."

"I have to tell you something," Terry gulped, and his expression saddened

Del could sense it, "It's my brother isn't it, how is he?"

"I am afraid he was slain in battle," he gulped again as he didn't want to throw it all at Del "And they murdered your sister shortly after. I'm sorry." his head dropped as he looked to his feet

Del's happiness left him as he fell back into his bed, he had nobody now, everyone he had ever loved was gone. All because of THEM. If he weren't a Jedi he would slay them in the most cruel ways possible. He then realised he had someone left in his life, "Did you see a small boy?"

"Yes, he said he was your padawan."

"You didn't tell him did you?" Terry nodded "Oh god, I must find him." and with that he rushed out of the room, with tears pouring down his face.

After the man had left to find Del, Liam had continued his way down the hall. Eventually he entered a room with a decent assortment of holocrons stored in it. Liam walked over to one and activated it. As he began to recieve information from it, he saw Del burst in with tears streaming down his face...

"Liam, you are my life now. For everyone and everything else is gone. I will train you in every way." he looked at the holocron. It showed the last great battle of the Jedi, the perishing of Anakin Solo. And the Del's 'induction' on the battlefield. "That brings back memories."

Liam didn't quite know how to feel as Del poured his heart out to him. He simply stood awaiting what Del would say next...

Kyle, Jacob and James walk out of the room. After the doors close they make a mad dash for the med bay. When they reach the Med bay they walk threw the doors and find Ally sitting up in bed. The nurse had gave her some work to do. "You look good for being a person who got shot." Ally giggles "Ya, the nurse said I should be out today." "Awsome" The nurse then walks in and bids the boys to leave.

In orbit around the planet

A Impireal Class Star Distroyer orbits the planet and sends a message down to the surface.

We would like to request permission to land a shuttle that is carrying a package for one of the students.

"Um....Guys?" Xin walked in. "I've just gotten a message that someone has something for one of you, could you go to the hangar?"

"Yes Master"

Kyle walks to the hanger when he reachs the hanger he sees a Lambda Class T-4a Shuttle folloed by two TIE fighters come and land. The Door to the shuttle opens and a tell man wearing a Dweladelfian Impireal Guard uniform walks out carrying a package. He hands the package to Kyle and walks back on to the shuttle with out a word. Kyles hair flys back as the Shuttle takes off again. He then takes the package bac to his room. He looks at the top of the package, It is from his father the Emporer. He opens it and in it are two light sabers, there handles are made of Platnium and have the royal emblem on them he takes one out and ignights it. The blade was Jade color. He then looked at the bottom of the box and there was a message pannel. He picked it up and there was a recorded message on it. Kyle we are aiding some rebels of a planet that is being ruled with a dictator, we need the jedis help ask them if they can come and be of astance. I lave you and i hope you are doing fine.

Kyles sets the pad down and walks to find his master and see if they can be of any help.

Xin and five other Masters were gathered in the council chatting when Kyle walked in.

"Excuse me a minute." Xin says as he saw Kyle "What is it my lad? If you are looking for Gaava, he is right over there." he points behind him at Gaava, sitting slumped in a chair.

"Master I just got a message from my father, He said Dweladelfia Prime is aiding some rebels that are trying to over throw a dictator, He wants to know if the jedi will intervine?"

Liam picked up another holocron and put it in his pocket. Exiting the room, he traveled down the hallways and back to his room. When he arrived he activated the holocron and began listening. Shortly after he placed his lightsaber on the workbench and began fiddling with it...

Del saw Liam leave, and began wondering whether he had confused him, he could tell he was listening to the holocron, and watching the battles, the loss of one of the greatest Solo's around, and my little lesson on how to build a sabre.

He headed to Liam's room and knocked on the door....

Liam was inside working on his lightsaber when he heard the knock. He left the lightsaber as it was in numerous pieces, hopped off the chair he was standing on (for height) and walked to the door. "Uh... come in?" he said not knowing what else to do.

"We are guardians of the peace, not warriors of war. We can send a few 'peacemakers' but not as many as your father may wish or expect. How many and who shall we send?" Gaava asked his fellow masters....

"He wants me and Jacob and our masters at least."

"Very well, we shall escort you there. Only two others will help us as well. And that is Master Ishiak and Hilard. Begin packing we will depart soon." Xin and Gaava got up and headed to their rooms.

"Are you okay Liam?" Del asked as he came in "What's that your building?"

"Uh..." Liam said looking over at the Lightsaber he had taken apart. "Sort of just taking it a part... I found a few things that might make it better... I was going to try them out."

"Go ahead, if you need any help just ask. By the way, where did you find the stuff, and how did you learn about how to make a sabre?" Del questioned as he leant against the wall

"We're ready, let's depart." said Gaava as he led Kyle, Jacob and the others to the hangar.

"Alright" As they walked to the hanger the Dweladelfian shuttle landed, and the Jedi boarded. "Captain take off" "Yes Sir" The shuttle hoverd above the ground and the wings came down as it flew off to the Star Distroyer. When the shuttle landed in the hanger of the ship it jumped into hyperspace headed to the fleet around the planet.

"The parts were just scattered around all over the place. Some were just parts from insignifcant things like part of a broken door. I don't really know how to make a saber either. I am just sort of fiddling around with it and seeing how it works - making little adjustments here and there."

Ally was let out of the med bay. She decided to go and find Kyle. When she walked to his room he wasnt there. She found her master "Master were is Kyle?"

Zevin and the others took longer than expected to get settled in, not to mention the small electronic devices Zevin himself scattered around the room. It was rather hard to hide the things, but if anything distasteful happened, he would be glad that they were there. Tying his hair back, he slowly walked out of the large room and eventually brought the other students from Nili with him as he walked through the compound in search for some training.

"So what do you all make of this Jedi training?" He couldn't help asking as his red eyes took a brief glance at the group of teenagers behind him, all now wearing identical robes, "Well it took awhile for us to get ready, but it should all go smoothly from here on. Make sure not to disgrace the Triumvirate."

"It shouldn't be that much of a problem. We were chosen out of all the other applicants right?" One of the older students mumbled as he tried to tie his hair out of his eyes, "It shouldn't be too difficult. Have you seen how many jedi there are?"

"Well thats all good and well. Now all we need to do is find them. I received word that the members of the Triumvirate have been moving around quite a bit lately. We should probably try not to get involved with that... Now where are we going to find some teachers..."

Hilard was slightly shocked that he was going out on a mission so early in his Jedi training, but if Master Ishiak believed in him, he was sure he was up to the task.

For now, Hilard was ready for the mission, he had Master Ishiaks' confidence, and that boosted his immeasurably. It seemed he might finally be able to put some of his years of self-training to use.

In orbit around Ftang a Venator Class DSD droped out of hyperspace. Ftang Space control this is the DPS-Havoc Request permission to transport some jedi masters and padawans back to the suface.

Liam had looked at Del as he didn't speak before returning to his work on the lightsaber. He took out numerous parts and studied them, learning all that there was to know about the amazing weapon. Taking the holocron and lightsaber in hand, Liam looked at Del for a moment before exiting the room. As he entered the hallway he proceeded to make his way back to the holocron library. As he entered he returned the holocron he had been watching and began looking for a holocron that had stored information on lightsabers...

To Liam's surprise, the holocron started shaking and then lifted off the shelf and floated into his outstretched arm. Huh... odd. Taking the holocron in one hand and lightsaber in other, he headed back to his room to see what information it held.

The ship landed. And the massavie ramp came down and the 7 jedi walked out.

"Master when do I become a jedi?"

"Judging by how you handled that battle, you have already become a Jedi. But make less brash decisions, or you will fall. Everyone has shown prowess." he said with confidence.

Del sensed a flux of power from Liam while he relaxed, reading a book in his room. He did not know how he could sense it, but he could tell what Liam felt, and why. Del noticed his blunder and headed towards Liams room, he leaned against the dor and hear a sabre humming through the air. And politely knocked on the door.

"Come in," Liam said as heard Del at the door. He had activated the holocron and sat on his bed listening to the information on lightsabers.

Del opened the door and sat on the desk chair, "Why did you look for that Holocron Laim? And how did you know it contained info?"

OOC: Ya thats right, just guessed there was 7.

"Yes Master, so what is next?"

"Umm... most holocron's contain information," Liam replied. "And I looked for it because I wanted to learn more about lightsabers."

"Hilard will use this well, better than my father anyways..."

"I can teach you about sabres myself if you want. I too watched the holocrons, so can teach you all you wish." he looked towards Liam with a smile.

"Umm... I am trying to make a Dual-Phase Lightsaber," he said with a serious but innocent tone. "You know how to?" he asked as he held the lightsaber and a few parts in front of him.

"A Dual-Phase? Are you sure you can handle it?" he took the parts, and racked his brain for ideas, "Ah....yes." Del said with glee as he began to piece together his masterpiece

Liam lept up and grabbed the pieces back from Del, "No! I want to do it..."

He was shocked at Liam "Very well..." he handed the pieces back "Do the following..."

Liam followed his master's instructions instinctively and in no time he had the Dual-Phase Lightsaber completed. "Thanks!" he beamed at Del as he walked over to the bench along the wall. Setting down the lightsaber he began undoing everything he had done and left it in lots of tiny pieces - from scratch. He began piecing it back together and in no time the Dual-Phase was re-completed.

"Excellent, you remember well." he stood up again, and leant towards the door. "Do you wish to use it?"

Liam merely smiled and walked out the door - it was an affirmitive answer.

This will be good Del thought as he exited and led Liam to the training chamber. When they arrived, after countless turns and different corridors, he stood on the other side and spoke "See how fast you can change the lengths of the sabre."

"Yes master. Kyle gets on his com. Ally, james get down here."

Liam turned on his lightsaber to the smaller of two lengths and held it in front of him. He tried to reach the button to change the length, but because of more advanced saber, it also required a longer hilt and his tiny hands couldn't reach it.

Liam thern placed both hands on the blade and easily tapped the button that changed the lengths back and forth.

Del observed as Liam met a problem and solved it. "Now.....try and move the sabre in normal technique, but using the two different lengths." he said as Del did as he told Liam, his beard swaying from side to side...

Liam wasn't quite sure what he meant by normal technique, as he had never had lightsaber or even sword training before - but he examined what Del was doing and tried to copy it the best he could.

Liam brought the shortened blade up and to the right and slashed down with it. Midway through the swing, his right, which was on top, pressed a button and the blade extended.

Del began to complicate his moves, adding more swings and stabs than usual, and spinning faster than before....

Woh... Liam stood by and watched in amazement, not knowing the true power of the force or jedi.

"Umm... I don't think I can do that," he said.

"Very good, now follow my ship. The one moving now." Xin said as a golden craft emerged and picked up speed leaving the hangar. As if by order, the other masters took off after Xin...

"Allright lets show em that Dweladelfians have fighter pioleting in there blood."
The 4 Fighters blasted off after the other fighters.

Zevin scratched his cheek and smiled a bit at the appearance of his master. Though by no means very threatening, he was relatively sure that it was all a facade. There was no way they expected someone so old to train him, at least not physically. He was relatively sure of this, but followed him anyways.

"Yes, Master." He said with a simple grin as he followed closely behind, watching his movements carefully, "I was almost expecting someone... younger."

OOC: hey guys, i dont know when im going to be able to post. my computer (this is my moms laptop) is really messed up. i'll hopefully be back in around 20or so hours. i'll post a response to you then Ftang. very sorry for the delay.

After Hilard had gone back to his room and put on a change of clothes, a green jumpsuit, he headed towards the council chambers to begin his next session of training with Master Ishiak.

He arrived there, and sat down, cross-legged to wait for Master Ishiak to arrive.

ooc: it seems that it is becoming hard to make this go along fluidly so might I make a suggestion? Write up a semi-detailed post that advances the academy a period of time (a few months or a year... no longer) so that you don't have to make one little post for every single thing.

OOC:Ya good idea id like to have my people graduate in my life time.

OOC: Hmm, I'm actually enjoying doing it this way, I just wish there was not such a RL time gap between posts. Also, I have not been thinking of this as a way to train Jedi for my country, notice how my guy entered with no relation to me, I have simply been treating it as a RP with character development and the such so "graduation" is unimportant to me. But I suppose that if you guys want to skip ahead, I'm game.

ooc: my Jedi have no relationship to my nation either, it just that Liam is a very important character to me who exists in many RPs. Also, the point of kicking it foward a notch was to bypass the post every few days.

Mine do hes gonna be a fleet comander.

ooc: same here, thats why I suggested a semi-long/detailed post that advanced/wrapped it up and all the characters (about one year advancement).

Im beginning to find this kind of boring now as I cannot think of anything more to do except repeats, if anybody has any storyline suggestions then feel free to tell me. If you dont want to continue and drop that is okay. and if anyone wishes to take over the thread then feel free

ooc: I believe most people are finding it slow and boring now. So, I would suggest making a short write-up about how the students trained and learned. It will set as the ending post for the thread.

Nearly two years later...

"Thank you Del," came the voice from a boy that resembeled Liam, though slightly older and more mature. The now seven year old Liam was leaving the academy after two years of studying.

"Are you sure you have to go..." Del said as he tried to convince the youngster to stay and learn more. During the boy's stint at the academy, Del had become quite close with him and cared for him almost like a father (he was the first of many that Liam would meet during his travels - though he did not know it yet).

Liam frowned, "I don't want to... but there are some things I need to do that can't be accomplished here."

"I understand," Del said with a reassuring smile.

No you don't... "Thanks," Liam said as he walked up the ramp of a transport bound for a far off planet. "I will return as soon as I can..." he said as he reached the door. No I won't... And with a trademark smile that encompassed the paradoxical innocence and experience of the peculiar child, he was gone...

Kyle, Ally, Jacob and James were also leaving the academy.

"Goodbye master." the four said as the boarded the transport.

The transport flew into the sky. When it was high up they saw a huge shadow it was the Jade II an Imperiouse Class SSD. The shuttle landed and the Jade II flew off to the homworld.

ooc: right then... I guess it's over now - it was fun while it lasted.
