The next morning came, it was the day of the coronation. Newt rose with the dawn, just like at home. His family, for the most part, still slept in their Kaymirilian comfort. Newt dressed for the morning, simple looking but incredibly well made day clothes. Upon completion of his morning tasks he went looking for Dora'. He knew he had only a short period to see her before the coronation, so he wanted to make the most of it.

OOC: Okay, have to go to a Commencement. So, Kay if you want, you can talk for Newt if I do not get back in time. I should be back noon est time.

Cougar, having slept only for an hour, changed back into his dress uniform in which he had greeted Barbarossa only the day before, and then called on Wolf. She too wore a similar uniform, but instead of trousers, she wore a knee length skirt. Besides that, they were identical.

Barbarossa, on the other hand, retained his suit, and when they arrived for him, he led the way, the two operatives flanking him. On his right, Colonel James Cougar. On his left, Captain Wolf. Two of the best were protecting a man who had once been in their organisation. Now that man was the representative of Snake Eaters at this historic occasion.

Dora' was stranding in what appeared to be the middle of a small crowd, giving instructions. As she finished, they all left so swiftly and silently that they seemed to disappear. She turned to her future husband, having heard his approach.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?"

Rahegalhoff and The Queen Sliver arose with the dawn.

The Queen Sliver had accidentally reverted to normal form during the night, and so the end of her tail was hanging out the window. Nothing was crushed or broken in the room though, due to the Queens experience with laying on fragile SLiver eggs, but not actually harming them. The Mistform sliver that had been her Purse put her form back to normal, and a Synapse Sliver once again became her dress. A pair of Muscle slivers became her shoes. She walked out a few minuets later, purse in hand once again. If anyone were to look inside, they would find dozens of small slivers inside from various species.

Rahegalhoff took the morning to polish his armor a little bit, then put it back on, and went out to find breakfast.

Newt grinned and nodded. "Yes, I slept well, Dora', how about you?"

"I slept well enough, which is more than can be said for my sister."

Newt nodded "I understand, I'll be in that posistion sometime soon I suppose. But nevermind about sleep, you were telling me of your brother, yesterday. Do you mind if I asked what happened?"

"It's a long story, and I have to be at the other end of the castle in five minutes. I'll tell you after the coronation."

Newt nodded "Fair enough, I do not wish to hold you from your duties." He bowed, and headed back to the room.

***Later***

The time had come. The guests were in their designated places, the Kaymirilian Nobles lined up with the most important houses closest to the Queen. The foreigners were set up as such:

Warhaven closest to the Queen, then Snake Eaters, Newtdom, and Magda, in that order. The Warhaven and Newtonian delegates were already in their respective places.

Arianna was in the Library all night long. She emerged from it knowing more. To her shock and surprise, she found Warfare dancing around the Garden in his armor singing.

"I feel Pretty, oh, so pretty, I feel Pretty and witty and bright!" Warfare sang.

Arianna all but collapsed on the ground she was laughing so hard. She had leaned against a wall instead.

As they had arrived, and so they sat. Barbarossa, his stark grey hair blending better than most with the Drow white. On his right, his peaked cap on his lap, Cougar sat, whilst Wolf had her legs crossed, but her peaked cap in exactly the same position. They sat, and they waited. Cougar found himself wishing Rhenna where there, but he merely smiled with it, and carried on. They sat and they waited

Everyone was in their proper places. The mages lined the path where Anna was to walk.

Mith stood alone at the front, facing out. Phish faced Uuthli, Aeros faced Olath'yukin, and Plak'la faced T'puuli.

Queen Kaymiril stood in front of her throne, and Dora'nes stood to her left.

The lights abruptly went out, and the darkness hovered over the area for a few moments, before fire flared along the walls. From those flames came dancing orbs, that spread, drawing firey pictures above the audience's head.
Orbs of water appeared between the flames, and spread out, to etch watery images through the flames. When the image was set, some flames shifted colors. Any color of flame that was possible was present, and it reflected through the water, leaving shimmering colors everywhere. Around the chamber was the sound of air, roaring and rushing, and the ground trembled slightly underfoot.

In front of Mith, a galaxy-shaped, shimmering portal appeared, leaving Anna, clad in a simple white dress. Mith nodded, and stood aside. He would walk behind her on the path.

She passed him, then walked until she came between Uuthli and Phish, at which point she was encased in both fire and ice.

The fire and ice cancel each other out in a burst of steam, and something started to form around Anna. She continued walking toward Olath'yukin and Aeros, and as she reached them, a great earthen barrier formed in front of her.

A -- Lu' marala thrityh

The room was briefly illuminated by a flash of lightening, which struck down the barrier. The garment starting to surround Anna was gaining more definition, and she continued walking.

As she reached Plak'la and T'puuli, an impenetrable barrier of warped time and space formed in front of her.

T -- Z'hin dosst menvis vel'klar ol zhal'la plynn dos

P -- Lu' neitar belbau wun ulu guu'lac.

She took some time to work through the barrier, then stood in front of her mother.

KVI -- Dos inbal doer areion jal dosst zud'daren, lu' inbal morfel dosstan tlu biu izil ventash'ma. L' draeval d' Kaymiril VI uriu doer ulu natha vrine'winith. Xal dosst draeval 'zil Valsharess tlu al, ussta dalharil.

Anna stood there, now fully clad in the raiment of a Kaymirilian Queen. She ascended the final step, and turned out, to face those standing there. Her mother stood to the side.

Dora' stepped forward and looked to the nobles. "C'rintrin, kyorl dosst sel Valsharess, Kaymiril VII."

As one, the nobles gave the lowest (acceptable) Kaymirilian-style bow.
"Gre'as'anto lu' verve dro, lu' udossta vlos."

OOC: Translate "udossta vlos" as "our allegiance"

Cougar listened carefully to what they were saying:
"Fires consume...Ice will harm"

"The ground will move from below you... and storms attack"

"To walk your path where it should take you...And never give in to doubt"

"You have come through all your tests, and have made yourself be an able leader. The time of Kaymiril VI has come to a stop. May your time as Queen be long, my daughter."

"Nobles, greet your new Queen, Kaymiril VII"

"Peace and long life, and our allegiance"

As he understood each set of words, he translated for Barbarossa and Wolf, neither of whom could speak Drow, nor could their translators yet process the language. Barbarossa made to bow as well, but Cougar stopped him, as if to say,She is not our Queen... but an ally... and a friend

Warfare, arianna, and Rahegalhoff stood and nodded.

The Queen Sliver stood and bowed, one ruler to another, recognizing her authority and welcoming her to a new world, all with a single bow.

All four resumed sitting.

Emperor Newt XX tried his best to translate for his family. It basically got the point across. As the ascention came to an end, and the new Queen bowed, all seven of the Newtdom Royal Family bowed in a deep western style. And followed in kind of Warhaven, taking their seats.

OOC: The new Queen wouldn't bow...she's the Queen, she might only bow ever so slightly, and only to the rulers of foreign nations.

The fire and water patterns suddenly merged, disappearing in a cloud of steam, and the regular lights came back up.
The former Queen directed everyone to head back to the Central Room ((Not central at all...it's the room Dora' took everyone to first.)) for the general sort of meet-and-greet ((Not thinking eloquently today, lol.)).

The Four Visitors from Warhaven walked to the central room. Not being much for mingling They picked four diffrent spots, stood there, and kept quiet.

Magda came downstairs from her room with various portraits of the two men she had met a few days ago, she sat out under the tree and wondered where they were, she sat and sung little ditties and read the letter from her parents.

OOC: The coronation has taken place, and now all that were in attendence are expected to all go to the same place...the room where you started at.

Magda gets up and makes her way to the coronation, her hair long loose and tumbling down, a beautiful white celtic tiara setting off her her rich brown hair.

she sat down where directed, wandering where Haldosir was, she saw him, he looked very serious and smart.

Haldosir was off to the side somewhere...as one of the heads of Valshanth security, his post was here for the time being.

Magda was admiring the architecture, so beautiful and well maintained, she look at the queen to be, her dress was magnificent.

She looked around at the other monarchs and then caught Haldosirs eye, she smiled and then looked at the bride and groom.

OOC: No one's been married yet. This wasn't a wedding...this was an unrelated event to the wedding. There will be a wedding LATER. I was crowning my princess.

Haldosir's just kind of there, with Rildorath on the other side of the room.

Magda looked around, she was desperately thirsty, she didnt want to disrupt things so she stayed still and quiet.

OOC: What she does is up to you. All the major Kaymirilian nobles and mages are there, as well as my security staff, and the royal family. Magda got up, poured herself a drink and went to sit back down, looking occasionally over to where the two men were, she then went outside and sat under her tree again.

There is no one outside.

OOC: There's no one outside. I was expecting her to remain inside with everyone else, but I don't really have much until Newtdom gets back on. I'm marrying off my new Queen's twin sister to his Crown Prince, and there's a certain way that's going to happen. You can do whatever you want, but my people act in the way expected of them.

Magda stayed inside, it was nice and cool there, the heat of the sun was giving her a headache.

The Queen Sliver of Warhaven walked on over to Magda, her scales shone brightly.

Magda smiled.
'Hello, I am Princess Magdalane of Serafima' she said.
'I am glad to meet another royal here, I was starting to think I had been left out, I met Warfare a few days ago, he's a nice honest man, are you married?' she asked, her young innocence and naivity evident.

"Slivers do not get married. We have no need to. We are an odd species. The Title of Queen is just that, a Title, it is based off my abilities. It is a pleasure to meet you Princess Magdaline. Warfare is a nice guy. A bit odd a showy at times, but nice none the less.

'I havent been to many things like this, so forgive my innocence and immaturity' she said looking away, her thick black eyelashes battering, a few strands of loose hair hanging down, she pushed it behind her ear.

'I like him, he was supportive to me, but I pushed him away, I shouldnt have' she said looking at the Queen.

"He may not offer to help you again. Slivers feel the full range of emotions. We just do not need to get married. Marriage is for couples who wish to breed. We do not need a partner to breed." The Queen said.

'Oh, I felt really awful about the whole affair, if you see him, send my apologies and i would like to talk to him again' she said.

A man in Silver armor walked up. He appeared in his middle ages. He had a mean looking sword at his side.

"Well hello. I see the Queen has found another beautiful young lady to talk to." The man said with a thick Irish Accent.

"Rahegalhoff, this is Princess Magdalina of Serafima, Magda, this is Lord Rahegalhoff, leader of the followers of Warfare." The Queen said. She walked off.

"A princess, what brings you here?" Rahegalhoff asks as he gives a polite bow.

OOC: I've been thinking, Sparklemist, that if you give Haldosir enough of a reason to, he'd at least take your char in. Although he's tough to impress...a hardened warrior, and several centuries old.

'well, I was 'auditioning' to be the new queen, but, he has made a different choice' she said smiling.

'so, I am just staying here until, I am asked to leave' she said smiling at the sliver.

'you're lucky, I do not have a bodyguard, my parents were in too much of a rush to get me out of the country' she said

OOC: I've been thinking, Sparklemist, that if you give Haldosir enough of a reason to, he'd at least take your char in. Although he's tough to impress...a hardened warrior, and several centuries old.

OOC: You have to take the initiative. He won't. And/or you might want to try finding the new Queen (Kaymiril VII) and asking her for sanctuary/amnesty/asylum/however you want to put it.

'I am fine thankyou, I..I want to apologise sir, after not accepting your help a few days ago' Magda said after bowing to Warfare and Arianna.

OOC: He's an honorable man...and by his race's standards, nineteen is very very young.

"That's okay, you weren't ready for it yet. I always have an ear availible for when your ready." Warfare says.

"My that's a nice dress, where did you get it at?" Arianna asks.

'It was made by the best seamstress in The Three Isles, everyone around here likes it, you can borrow it sometime if you like' Magda said.

'thankyou Warfare, I really appreciate it' she said smiling and bowing again, and walking away with her new irish friend.

she turned back to Rahegalhoff.

'so...how long are you staying around?' she asked looking up to the tall man (OOC: magda is 5'6")

OOC: Rahegalhoff is exactly 6' not a Centimeter more or less.


IC: "I'm staying as long as warfare stays here, then I return to Riptide, and continue training all the young Paladins. Come by if you like sometime, there are a lot of Young men there that would be intrested in meeting you. Not only paladins, but Monks, druids and rangers as well." Rahegalhoff said.

'I dont want to leave, my parents made me leave the country because of the imminent death threats made against me' she said.

'I just want to be somewhere where I can settle and live happily'

"Come to Riptide, there hasn't been a genuine death threat ever since the slivers halved the Vizzerdrix population. Vizzerdrixes are quite tasty too." Rahegalhoff says completly serious.

she smiled and let out a cute little giggle.
'I dont know...I dont know what I want much anymore' she said smiling.

'I am sure you have a wife? a fine man like yourself' she said.

"I did, once. She died in childbirth, My son didn't make it either, he only lived for three days, and died." Rahegalhoff says, a pained expression crossing his face.

'oh...i am sorry, I shouldnt have...' she said, embracing him.

" That was nearly 200 years ago. I've managed to put it in my past, but sometimes, well, memories never truley die." Rahegalhoff says.

'your right' she said smiling softly.
'You didnt mind me?' she asked, implying about the embrace.
'my brother died when he was born, I'll never forget that' she said.

"No, I don't mind. No further than an embrace though. It must have been difficult, losing a brother you never had a chance to know." Rahegalhoff says.

'Yes it was...having all the hopes and dreams, then they are taken away from you' she said softly and quietly, her bright blue eyes captivating and deep, her hair shiny and full of ringlets bounced as she smiled and laughed.

"Your such a charming young lady, its a wonder no man has tried to win your heart yet." Rahegalhoff said.

The Royal Family walked in quietly. They all enjoyed the ceremony a great deal, it was far different than the ceremony that accompanies a Newtonian Royal. They sat at a table together, and were brought drinks each had ordered. They waited patiently for the new queen, and spoke amongst one another till that time came.

The three members of the Kaymirilian family arrived shortly, Kaymiril VII first, her mother to her right, and her sister to her left. The Drow nobles stood and gave a bow.

It's really up to the foreigners to do what they want. Oh, and now, Newt can pull Dora' away and ask her again for the tale...she's got the time now.

OOC: so what can Magda do, she isnt involved in the royalty, i dont want to make mistakes :confused:

OOC: She isn't even inside, so she's somewhat oblivious to the whole thing.

Magda left Rahegalhoff, and went in search of the queen, with no luck finding her she sent a message and then went back outside, she started to paint a portrait of the bride and groom (future king and queen)

she finished the good portrait and started to paint it in, hoping to speak to Haldosir later on she smiled to herself- she wondered what would happen to her, she daydreamt several potential futures, some good and some bad.

OOC: And this is where we leave it. Like chess pieces, my people all have places where they can and cannot go, where they are and aren't supposed to be, what they may and may not do...here and now, you have to conform to those rules if you want rp.

Newt watched from his table as the Kaymirilians entered. He watched Dora's poise and elegance and grinned. I made an excellent choice he thought, watching her go about her royal duties. He excused himself from the table and walked towards the Kaymirilians. He made a low bow to the new monarch, and congratulated her. He turned to Kaymiril VI and bowed like the one he gave to her daughter. He then smiled and turned to Dora' and grinned, made a slight bow, and hugged her.

After Newt had given his first bow, the three royals simultaneously gave a slight bow -- the former Queen and Princess dipping their heads just lower than that of the new Queen.

Dora' was taken somewhat off guard by the hug, but smiled and returned it.

Newt grinned and said "Can we continue that conversation from earlier?"

Dora' looked at her mother and sister. "We will not be long."
She looks back at Newt. "Come with me."

She leads him outside, to the gardens, then motions for him to take a seat. "This is a painful topic to discuss...old though it may be. How to start it, is the question..."

Newt took a seat and looked up and said "Start at the begining. Say whatever you need too."

"The beginning...I was young...younger than you are now...eighteen or nineteen...and we got word that we were to be attacked by a young capitalist nation that wished to 'free our people from socialist oppression.'
We had had no prior contact with them...we had never even heard of them, and this...child-king and his board of advisors decide to attack us.
My mother was reluctant to start the war...bold and brash as that nation might have been, they were half our size. What was the right course of action?"

She looks up at the stars.

"We wound up on the defensive...had my mother not held back our mages, the victory would have been swift and brutal. They had two trump cards, though...a ghost fleet -- submarines that our Blue Class Mages detected, but the ship's systems could not -- and an orbital attack station.
The young monarch had been decieved by his council...a council that wanted to take over his country...while the head of the serpent is distracted...it can easily be severed...and controlled.
They fired the laser at our fleet...at an angle that would have devastated our shores, and those of our neigboring countries. My brother...sensed it...and went out. His alternate form was a hawk...like Anna's is a raven, and mine is an owl, and he flew out, teleporting as he could...he got there, just in time to activate a spell...the laser was stopped...but all we found of him was his signent ring."

She had been almost pacing back and forth, but she stops, her profile to him as a few tears begin to fall.

"My brother...he wasn't all that much younger than myself and my sister...a year...he was a goofy kid...always more interested in this or that project than in royal ettiquet and procedure...he was brilliant...but he was frustrating.
I remember hating humans for decades...wishing that my mother had decided that I was to be the queen, so that I could wipe them out. My sister only recently persuaded me to change my views...she went and met with their new leader, only a couple of years ago...they are now our allies, in a surprising twist of fate."

Newt listened carefully, and when she concluded he rose from his seat and hugged Dora' yet again. He kept her in his arms and said "I'm sorry for your loss."

"It was a long time ago. Your father wasn't even born then." Despite her strong words, she isn't moving away from his embrace.

Newt nodded "But things that happened years ago still hurt."

She nods. "I think you would have liked him...who knows what sort of man he'd be...but he was likable, even when he was being obnoxious." She smiles.

Newt nodded again, continuing the embrace "I am sure I would have. I am sorry I did not have the opportunity to meet him."

She lays her head on his chest, taking a moment to enjoy the embrace before bringing herself back to reality. "We have to be getting back."

Newt nodded, and kissed her forehead. "I shall follow you, my'lady."

Dora' takes him back to the central room, and a servant with a green eye marked under the Maril Crest catches her attention. She nods, and turns back to Newt.

"If you will excuse me...there are some few matters that I must attend to."

The servant vanishes, as does she -- just as fast.

Magda walked back into the hall where the large group of people were assembled, she looked for Haldosir, but couldnt see him, she went and poured herself a drink

Kaymiril VII is standing amidst different nobles, who were introducing themselves formally to their new Queen.

Haldosir is being inconspicuous (as are all the security personnel), but is in the room.

Magda then saw him, she respected his position she she smiled and proceded to go and meet the new queen.

OOC: is now the time to ask for asylum?

Magda gets to Kay VII as a different noble is leaving her. She turns her head to Magda and gives a slight nod.

Magda nods.
'Your highness, I am Princess Magda of Serafima & The Three Isles, I wish to speak to you about me seeking amnesty in your beautiful country' she saidm bowing, noticing her white dress was slightly crinkled.

The new Queen raises her hand to wave off the next oncoming noble, then nods to Magda.

"There are some few details that we will have to work out. We can do so either tonight or tomorrow evening."

'thankyou your majesty' she said, she walked elegantly over to Haldosir
'can I get you something to drink?' she asked quietly, knowing she was bad to say it, she started to walk off,

"No, thank you, Princess," Is the polite response given to her offer.

she was walking away as she heard his reply, she smiled to herself, she turned and smiled and carried on walking around the hall meeting various other royals, she sat down and looked out the window to the beautiful landscape.

OOC: I've got nothing.

OOC: Honestly, I am too...but you don't interact according to the expectations of my country, which you are in right now. You've got to learn, or you'll never like living in it.

OOC: so how can Magda interact? can she talk to the queen? what can she do, I am kind of new to this, please give me some guidance

OOC: She can speak with the Queen, but this is the ONLY night that she can just go on up to her. She can speak with the nobles that are williing to look past her humanity and speak with her. But SHE has to be the one to take action...she is a guest, and will be treated politely...but she is a newcomer, and expected to conform. This is also expected of the Snake Eaters delegation...but they have more experience with Kaymiril. The Warhaven delegation has a member in it that is a member of the royal family, so they are extended more courtesy, and the Newtdom delegation A) is soon to have a Maril princess wed into them, and B ) also consist of full fledged royals (Emperor, Empress, CP, 2 other princes, 2 princesses, a duchess, etc...). Magda is also asking to stay in the country, something no one else is doing, so she especially needs to pay attention, and get out there and make friends.

Magda went up to some more of the nobles and introduced herself (OOC: can we RP these meetings or not?) Then she saw the queen about to leave, knowing this was her last chance, she went back to her.

'your highness, can we discuss my asylum soon please?' Magda asked.

Magda approached a group of Kaymiril nobles, she bowed to them and straightened her dress.
'I am Magdalane of Serafima & the Three United Isles' she said proudly, her skin bumpy with the slight chill in the room.

The group she had approached consisted of three people (all but two of the Kaymirilian groups do, btw). There were two men and a woman, the older man looked like he was the head of the House.

"I am Ildravos of Isto Province. This is my daughter, L'aran, and my son, Raldin."

The other man and woman gave her slight nods in turn.

'Its a pleasure to meet you' Magda said, her beautiful hair soft and wavy, it bounced as she moved her head, her slight build made her look younger than she was.

'This is a beautiful country, don't you agree?' she asked.

ooc: grrrr damn brother, I have to go, hes chuckin me off

I -- Of course. It is my homeland...why would I not acknowledge its beauty?

OOC: Just so you know, my nobles are either already married, or are expecting their parents to arrange their marriages...and there is not a drow noble that would tie his/her son down with a human woman.

Newt nodded to Dora' and walked back to his delegation's table. He took his seat, directly to the right of his father, and stirred the miniture umbrella in his martini. The two royals spoke amongst one another, like they did when Newt was younger. They waited patiently for the time to come for something to do.

OOC: What's happening about Barbarossa and Rebecca... she seems to have dissapeared

OOC: Umm, I didn't see your response...sorry.

OOC: That might be because she went into his room to see how he was... and dissapeared after that. I haven't seen hide nor hair of her since then

Rebecca hugged him back "Well I'm better now. I was worried sick about this whole virus bit. And what about you?"

IC: *Sometime later, post-coronation*
Barbarossa danced with Rebecca, ignoring the stifled laughter coming from Cougar and Wolf, giving them scathing looks that made them laugh all the more,"It is a good thing Mith found a cure for that virus... or I doubt I would be here right now"

Dora' re-enters after some time, and speaks briefly with her sister, then goes back to mingling.

After a while, the evening winds down. The individual nobles go back to their respective homes, and it is time for the foreign nobles to retire to their rooms for the night.

Wolf had already left, and Cougar had taken to his walk of insomnia for the evening, though he doubted that he would stay much longer in the Valshanth.

Barbarossa kissed Rebecca on the cheek, hugging her as he did so,"Good night, my dear"

Haldosir and Rildorath had gone on their respective patrols. Haldosir, inside the Valshanth for a while, caught up to Cougar.

"Drow sleep patterns starting to get to you?"

Cougar looked round as Haldosir came up to him, and smiled,"Drow patterns? No, I've always been this way."

"Always? It's a wonder, then, that you aren't dead."

In carriage and walk, Cougar would be able to see a distinct resemblence between Haldosir and Shan. It was almost as if he could see and hearwhat Shan would look and sound like in 350 years.

"Well... not always. Just when I'm away from home. I can go ninety hours, but I don't wish to."

Cougar blinked once, then once again to make sure it was Haldosir, and not Shan beside him

Magda came up and saw Haldosir, she bowed.
'how are you, i hope you are well' she said smiling.

OOC: Sparklemist, she's a princess, she wouldn't bow to a soldier...hell, she wouldn't bow pd, she would curtsey. She's not a man. I'll let you redo your entrance...

Not with genetic enhancements and training. If you try, you can really do it. Humans, as a rule, cannot truly survive past forty eight... I, on the other hand, with everything I've had done to me, some voluntary, but a large majority not, can go further

Hm... genetic enhancements, that to my knowledge no one else has... not 'normal'. The White Flame... again, not 'normal'. I'm not surprised you don't know of what I speak, for only two other people truly know... and I doubt they would tell the tale lightly

Haldosir looked up from his conversation with Cougar. "Good evening, Princess Magda. Are you lost? If so, I can find an escort for you."

'no thankyou, i am enjoying socialising' she said softly.

Haldosir made a pretense of looking around, and seeing no one but himself and Cougar there other than her, looked back at her.

"Pardon, Princess...but with whom?"

'oh...there were people' she said confused.

"Would you like me to send for an escort?"

'i can find me own way back' she said her smile turning upside down, she went to leave.

Cougar looked from Magda, to Haldosir, then back to Magda, and just shook his head slightly, as if sighing under his breath.

She tries so hard... too hard. That, is why she fails

Haldosir spoke Drow into an instrument in his hand as Magda left, then looked at Cougar and continued on his patrol.

Cougar nodded to Haldosir as he left, and then returned to the balcony he had been on the night before. He summoned up a chair of flame, flickering around the edges, and sat down to watch the moon travel across the sky

C -- *Starting*What was that, I phased out for a moment

W -- I know. Normally, you would have heard me coming down the corridor, figured out who it was and contemplated at least three ways to get out of any trouble should it occur

C -- I'm tired. Isn't everyone allowed to do that from time to time

W -- *Laughs*Meryl... no-one's called me that in such a long time

C -- I don't know why you insist on being Wolf still.

W -- I've been Wolf for as long as I can remember. I like it

The rest of the royals left the hall, and walked directly to their respective rooms. They were finally, somewhat, oriented and could find their way. Newt straggled behind, he walked admiring the halls, and various rooms throughout the palace. He walked slowly and took in the atmosphere, trying to comprehend all of the foreign writing.

Magda was sitting by the steel rimmed window, looking down into the beautiful garden, she saw a shadow in the corridor, she was intrigued, she got up and slowly tapped along the corridor, she saw Rahegalhoff.
She smiled warmly, straightening out her little pink dress covered in sparkles.
'surely you should be in your quarters, it is late' she asked, rubbing his arm supportively and tilting her head.

Rebecca smiled, and returned the kiss. She asked jokingly "Are you not going to escort me back to my room?"

He raised an eyebrow,"Would you want me to?"

Haldosir came upon Newt while on his patrol, and gave the human royal a formal (if military) bow.

"Gre'as'anto lu' verve dro. Can I help you, Sir?"

"An old man like me? Nahh, the older you get, the less sleep you need." Rahegalhoff said.

Magda looked at him suspiciously.
'hmmmm' she said rubbing her chin disapprovingly.
'what do you do then in the nights where you dont sleep?' she asked, as they walked slowly up the corridor.

Rebecca lowered her head at an angle, and her eyes still staring into his. She said grinning "Of course I would."

Newt nodded to Haldosir and said "No, I don't have any sort of problem right now. Just wandering, taking in the atmosphere."

He nodded. "Very well, then. Should you require assistence at all, guesture for a servant."

He begins to walk away, before stopping.

"Oh, and your Highness...good luck on your marriage to Princess Dora'nes."

Newt nodded "Thank you, I believe we will be having the ceremonies on the morrow."

Haldosir nods, offers another bow, then continues his patrol.

Newt looked paced down the hall. Admiring each piece of art. He came across one he really could not figure out. He turned his head about, staring at the intricate webs of various colors, seemingly pointless but yet inheriently important.

Dora' comes up beside him, silent as a shadow.

"Ah, this one...this one you might have a hard time understanding."

Newt looked over and smiled "Well yes it it just a bit. Could you explain it, my dear?"

"It's a representation of the accomplishments and mistakes of each Queen of our line...to explain it would take an eternity...and most of it would probably bore you."

Newt nodded, "Fair enough. So what keeps you up on such a momentous eve?"

"Up? This is not late at all...for me, in any event. However...I could ask you the same question."

He moved slightly closer to her "Nothing really, just admiring your queendom."

A smile touched the corners of her mouth.

"You will have more occasions to come...you will be, after all, a member of our family."

Newt nodded "I am sure I will have a great deal of such occasions. Are you ready for tomorrow? If you do not mind me asking, what is going to happen?"

"Tomorrow will come whether or not I am prepared, so I do not worry about it. As to what will happen...our families will be there. We will stand in front of my mother and touch our foreheads -- which means I'll probably be standing on something at least six inches high, and my mother on something taller than that -- and she will cast a spell. This spell is similar to one cast at all Kaymirilian weddings. The basic purpose is to create an intangible, unbreakable bond between the two of us. When the spell is cast and has run its course, the wedding is fairly much over. It probably sounds very different to what the human ceremony will be...what will the human ceremony be like, if you have the time to say?"

Newt nodded "Sounds interesting. Ours...well its boring. Its the same pomp and cicumstance of any Imperial wedding. My uncle will preside, my father will oversee, and my mother will conclude the ceremonies. It will be any normal western ceremony. I suppose."

Dora' guestures around her. "We have little familiarity with Western weddings here."

"Nor I with the Drow" He said smiling.

"Fair enough...but I told you exactly what is going to happen. The only 'pomp and circumstance' we will get is when it is released to the public that I have married a human prince. There is very little ceremony to any Kaymirilian wedding...there is not even any expected dress code...just so long as you don't come looking completely casual."

Newt nodded "Completely the opposite then. Royal bands, parades, excessive formal attire. The entirety of the nobility, gentry, and other aristocrats. Dignitaries, members of the government, and not to mention the immense crowds gathered around the Imperium. It is a sight to behold, but yet excessive by every means."

"It sounds like a giant headache."

Newt just grinned and nodded.

"Well, princess Magda, usually I practice my sword play, or ride Starfire around." Rahegalhoff said.

'arrr the sword and a horse, my favourite two toys' Magda smiled.
'I havent had the chance to ride since i got here, and, my sword is being reforged back home' she added.

Rebecca lowered her head at an angle, and her eyes still staring into his. She said grinning "Of course I would."

He smiled,"Then I shall... as a gentleman should escort a lady back to her room" He offered her his arm.

"Would you like to ride Starfire? He really is a nice Alicorn." Rahegalhoff said.

'...alicorn?' Magda asked confused, raising a finely sculpted eyebrow.

Instead of answering, Rahegalhoff let out a strange whistle. Starfire let out a whiny, and appeared infront of Rahegalhoff. Starfare was a pure milk white Unicorn, with Wings.

"Alicorns are unicorns with Pegasus wings. They really are quite rare. Warfare gave Starfire to me as a gift." Rahegalhoff said.

Starfire sniffed Magda thorughly, sneezed, and decided she was okay. He then proceeded to give her a friendly nuzzle, and flicked his beautiful wings at the same time.

'its....its beautiful' Magda said, blinking constantly with the blinding white light.

'I would be honoured to ride him...thank you' she said embracing Rahegalhoff

Starfire turned off the ethereal glow. Starfire layed his Horn on her shoulder, staring at her deeply through his big black eyes. Starfire was a proud stallion, and as big as a Warhorse. Starfire's horn glowed, and teleported Magda to his back. Suddenly he took off running, straight for the edge of the castle. His wings spread wide. The edge came, and he jumped, and started flying.
Magda could feel his powerful muscles working. He flew around for a while, flew up to the top of the clouds, and came to rest, on a cloud. His wings spread as a sheild against the winds for Magda. She was prefectly safe, and Starfire's powers ensured she stayed comfortable. Magda was literally on top of the world, and could see the stars spread for for ever.

Newt just grinned and nodded.
"That's good to know, then."

Starfire stayed there for a few minuets, then flew back down to the roof of the castle. He then slid Magda off his back. Starfire flew off.

"Milady, I and my party must go for now, however, if you ever wish to stay with us on Riptide, you are more than welcome to. For now, until we meet again, goodnight." Rahegalhoff said. He took three steps beyond sight into the darkness, and teleported away. No one would be able to find the Warhaven party, though Queen Kaymiril VII knew why.

Rebecca grinned "Gentlemanly indeed." She took his arm, and moved closely beside him.

Newt smiled, and looked into Dora's eyes "It probably is not such a big headache if you are the ones involved."

She smiles. "I hope not...my experience has always been to the contrary, though...the more involved you are in something complicated, the more of a headache it gets to be."

Newt nodded "I would agree with that, except things like this only come around so often."

"That is true."

Newt nodded "Its getting late, I need to get some rest before tomorrow. Can I escort you back to your room?"

She smiles. "My room is deeper in the Valshanth...you'd likely get lost on your way back. How about I show you to your room, instead?"

Newt grinned and nodded "Fair enough, lead on my dear."

She led him through the halls, toward the guest rooms. The distance seemed to stretch out into forever, but eventually she stopped in front of a door and smiled, giving a guesture that roughly translated to 'here you are.'

"Good night."

Hmmm... that is confusing enough to me. Snake Eater's never had a royal family, we started from twelve members, known only as the Assembly. I'm the President of that Assembly as it stand today

OOC: She should ask Queen Kaymiril VII to take her there.

She smiles at him and nods, then disappears.

She nodded "I agree, but here is my room." She leaned over and kissed him good night.

Rebecca walked into her room, and quickly changed to sleep. [i]Tomorrow would be a hectic day[i] she thought as she slipped under the blankets.

The three members of the Kaymirilian royal family were up at dawn...there were a few things Dora' had to do to prepare for her wedding... all but this was already done.

OOC: I'm not going to play it out.

Newt rose from his bed at 6, like any other day. But unlike other days, he did not go through his daily routine. He dressed in normal Newtdonian formal attire, and waited outside his parent's room paitently for them to emerge.

A servant approached him. "Would you like something to eat, sir?"

He merely nodded, and looked back at the door. He noticed the servant waiting, and he realized he forgot to order. He grinned "I'm sorry, could I get eggs benedict..." he paused "Yes, that should do it. With some coffee, black, please."

The servant nodded, reappearing momentarily with the desired items. "Where would you like me to put these, sir?"

He looked over, and put out both hands "I'll just take them. Thank you," he nodded his head looking over his breakfast.

The servant looked at him curiously, and left.

He stood there, quietly eating and waiting for his family. His brothers emerged from the hall, and stood next to him in equally befitting formal wear. The finest materials from around Newtdom had been used to craft the beautiful and intricate clothing of the family, and it could easily be noticed. Newt continued to eat, and stood without speaking with the exception of a greeting.

Upon completion of his meal his parents emerged, smiling at their son, the Prince. They walked together towards where they were told to meet for the ceremony.

The Kaymirilian Royal family was standing there, in official Maril regalia.

Anna, off to the side, was dressed in the traditional Queen's raiment to a formal ceremony.

Kaymiril VI (I'll call her that b/c I don't like the name I gave her) was dressed as befitting the former Queen.

Dora' was wearing the traditional Maril dress for a wedding.

KVI -- "Come now...this is far more painless than what I have heard you are accustomed to...more expedient, as well."

There were no men there from the Maril line -- the twins' father and brother had both been killed long before.

The Emperor smiled and let out a happy sigh. He then said "Well I hope you will find our services easy, regardless of the headache they can cause." He grinned, and escorted his wife to where they were being led.

Newt could not take his eyes off his soon to be wife, he smiled like a school boy, and followed the Kaymarilians who led him.

Newt was led so that he was standing in front of Dora' facing her.

KVI -- "This is the first time that a daughter of our line has married anyone from outside of this country, as it appears that the Newtonian royalty have never selected brides that were not human. I cannot speak for your nation here, but the next few centuries will be times of great Change in Kaymiril. We are fortunate that we have made far more friend than enemies, and fortunate to be marrying our daughter into a line so noble as this.
"This journey I set you off on is not one to take lightly. The bonds made here last forever, untarnished by time, not weakened by distance. You do not know each other, and there are possibly problems that will stem from that, but you will have to work around and through them.
"That being said, you will never be alone on your journey. You both have family, and friends, those that will be with you over every hurdle, past every obstacle."

She looks at her daughter and her soon-to-be son-in-law.

"Are you both willing to take up this journey? Will you walk it, when the path is rocky as well as when it is smooth?"

Dora' nods.

Newt grinned and nodded then said "Of course."

Dora' is raised up about six inches, and the former Queen places one hand on the back of each of their heads, bending them forward so they touch foreheads.

She then begins to cast a spell.

All present can feel its power...it draws, it binds...it is an almost sacred moment. But the two that would feel this most acutely are Dora' and Newt.

For a few brief, intense moments, they can tell no difference between themselves. There is a feeling of unity...and as the spell ends, it fades...all but a little bit of it goes.

This is the Bond...from now on, they will know where the other is and how the other feels.

Dora' is set back down.

KVI -- "Under Kaymirilian law, you two are now married."

Newt smiled, looking down into his beautiful bride's eyes. His were gleaming, knowing he had made an excellent choice and grinned thinking of the grandiose ceremonies that would begin upon their arrival at Winchester.

She smiles back up at him.

That was it...the wedding was over...everyone was free to go and do whatever, although there was breakfast prepared for those who hadn't eaten beforehand.

The Royals all headed towards the reception, with the exception of Newt. He lingered in the hall, searching the ancient room for nothing in particular. His mind wandered, but yet he was cogent.

The Kaymirilian royals practically disappeared. While under normal circumstances, servants did the packing, it was customary for the bride's mother and sister(s) to pack with her, meaning they had quite a bit of work to do before she left in a day or two.

KVII -- So, how does it feel to be the first Maril princess to wed a foreigner?

Dora' -- I...still can't really believe it happened.

KVI -- You will, daughter mine...fairly quickly. The latest you'll start to believe is when your first child is born.

D -- True...a future ruler of a human country...will be half Drow.

KVII -- And less and less, as the line progresses.
