Commandant General Yang Dezhi sat behind his new desk in auxiliary command. All the senators had reached Lhasa safely, fleeing Bejing. The Curia as to meet in two hours to discuss surrender to the Imperial Japanese Empire. The Commandant General was to make the speech, and so far he had "Ladies and Gentlemen," written on his page. He sighed. If only the war he wished for in Europe had've broken out, he would have European reinforcements, as well as American aid possibly. Each day he waited, the more of China the bloody Japanese carved up. He got to work on his speech, hoping to God that someone would burst in the door and tell him of a war in Europe. No one came...

OOC: I already have a good list, Vineyard. Thanks for the information, though.

But Cobdenia, may I ask how you read secret encripted telegrams that don't run through your territory? The pending invasion of Malta wasn't released as public information... (And wasn't Malta conquered before the start of WWII by Italy?)

OoC: There are three possible ways
1) Bletchly Park (okay it didn't exist until 1940 ish in RL, but for the puposes of RP it is!)
2) the message was addressed to to Germany and Japan. Germany is our (Britains) ally...
3) The build up of troops on the southern coast would be a bit of a giveaway.

In reference to your other question, the answer is no, Malta was never invaded by Italy: Link (http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/2WWmalta.htm)

Persia is neutral and independant, Iraq is part of the commowealth as is Oman or Yeman( one of them) Suadi Arabia is independant as-well
Well, technically Iraq and Palestines were British Mandates, Egypt was a protectorate and Yemen (Oman didn't exist at the time, I think) was a colony.

OOC: Persia was in fact neutral in WWII and largely too poor to do much about anything. At that point I think it was a nearly absolute monarchy, so western politics had very little to do with it.

SHOOT! I read it wrong!

As World War II (WWII) approached, Mussolini announced his intention of annexing Malta, Corsica, and Tunis. He spoke of creating a "New Roman Empire" that would stretch east to Palestine and south through Libya and Egypt to Kenya. In April 1939, after a brief war, he annexed Albania, a campaign which strained his military

Only Albania he conquered. But in that case, can we please just ignore what happened? (I was only trying to do what Italy did before WWII!) I don't want Germany on my bad side!

Triple Encrypted Telegram to Germany and Japan,

My personal fiancial adviser has given me a most disturbing report. Due to the state of the Italian infastructure, Italy must remain non-belligerent for some time. Our economy is growing rapidly under my command, but our infastructure is still poor, which I will improve by increasing governmental spending on infastructure. Therefore, the invasions of Malta and Albania are called off. But we do wish to offer a trade deal between our three nations at this time.

Any messages from Chinese War Office will now have a codeword with them. Any telegram from China without the phrase "Red Flash" must be assumed as fake, as we have a serious foothold in our security systems. Our council has retreated to the remote town of Lhasa, on the Indian boarder. The Japanese wont dare attack a british held territory. Apologies for anything that may have happened. Commandant General Yang Dezhi stood on the podium in the recently converted Curia House. It used to be the council chamber of Lhasa City, but despirate times call for despirate measures. He was appladed as he walked up the steps to take it position. "Ladies and Gentlemen. You all know the dire situation our country is in. After long discussions with our allies, i was unable to secure enough troops to take back our lost provences. I am preparing to suggest surrender to the Japanese." he said. The room burst out into uproar. "Settle down!" he shouted. The room went silent again. "We must make sacrifices and conform to their rules. Do not get me wrong, i have not given up on China. I am merely buying us time. We shall conquer the Japanese, as i have promised." "When?" someone shouted from the crowd. The room burst out again. "Silence!" he roared. "Remain calm, and stay tuned to secure channels. Move only when instructed to do so by the Home Guard. Gospeed," he said, walking down off the podium with his head down. The room outburst into chaos again. Was the war really over for China...

This was disgraceful and dishonorable. These chinese were weak. To beg was to have no honor, and you don't deserve to live without honor. the Platoon commander told his soldiers to back away from them. He pulled out his sub-machine gun. Yang Dezhi,
With reference to your request pertaining to the Chinese City of Lhasa, are we correct in assuming you wish for this part of your country to become British-Indian Territory? We are somewhat confused, as to become a British Dependency you would have to surrender yourself as subjects to King George VI; which I thought would jar with the Communist philosophy and might be at odds with the Buddhist Tibetan community. However, if we are correct in this interpretation and you see no conflict, the British Empire is always willing to expand, and as Tibet borders our own colonies in Nepal we can see no reasons why this would lead to complications.
Therefore, if this indeed what your asking, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will indeed take Lhasa and the region of Tibet under her wings, and will become a region of India with a situation the same as that in Nepal.

Yang Dezhi,
We understand your wish not to remain permanent subjects of the crown, however 25 years, we feel, is not long enough to be practical. May we suggest that Tibet return to Chinese control at the same time as the colony of Hongkong, which was agreed by our two governments in 1898 to return to Chinese control in 1997. We feel that this is a sensible compromise. The other possiblility we would be willing to agree to would be a plebscite in the territory in the year of 1960 to decide the ownership.

The sun shone down on the steps of the Senate House. Cheers rang through Lhasa City as the troops marched through the streets. Chinese and Hungarian soldiers marched towards the senate house proudly. Several thousand Japanese troops followed, all bound in chains and reduced to a dispicable state. Their dignity was all they had left, and it was fastly disapearing in the company of the angry crowd. The crowd fell silent as the Commandant General appeared on the top steps of the Senate House. He was smiling widely. "Friends. A glorious victory has been won over the Japanese dogs!" he said, pointing towards the large group of huddled soldiers. "China is regaining her Sovreginty slowly but surely. She shall triumph as she so often has!" the crowd errupted into cheers. He silenced them with a wave of his hand. "We lost many good men in the campaign, as did our Hungarian friends. They fought with bravery, and i am proud to call them brothers," he said, shaking hands with Colonel Kurev. The two men smiled and shook hands. "Take the prisoners to Camp Alpha. Make sure they get treatment, and under no circumstances are any of them to be killed," he said seriously. "They are more useful alive than dead. We shall never stoop to their level." The crowds outburst with cheering, as did the soldiers. "How can i thank you?" the Commandant General asked Kurev. The Colonel turned to him. "Send me back in," he replied. The two men smiled and shook hands again.

Due to the current circumstances and your well fought victory over the Japanese you have been promoted to Field Marshall. You will also recieve the Red Service Star upon your return. You will of course be allowed to stay in China and fight the Japanese if you wish.

Field Marshall Kurev, after recieveing his promotion appointed Major Frederick Kurev, his son and rising officer to lead Alpha group. Field Marshall Kurev was to lead the men as a whole. He was already planning his next attack but it would have to wait for the wounded to heal.

It was also used in the west as another name for the Soviet union, but I mean the governing body of the USSR, as you enter the USSR when asking for an alliance (since the USSR was the alliance) and therefore should be represented in the Comitern, therefore joining the Comitern.

Indeed.

First off, I HIGHLY doubt a mere 4 batallions of untrained troops can pulverise their way out of Beijing through a dozen armies. HIGHLY unlikely. Even with he Hungarian troops.

Secondly, Japanese prisioners were extremely rare, as 99% of Japanese troops fought to the death or killed themselves. it is the japanese way and code of life.

[QUOTE=Philanche and with the help of the 14,000 Hungarian troops they were making a head way. Colonel Kurev ordered Delta and Omega Groups to attemp to go around the flanks of the Japanese in a pincer move. He then had his troops and the Chinese pull back. the Japanese fell for the trick and were encircled by the combined Hungarian and Chinese Forces forced the Japanese to rout and it was a sound victory worthy of a great General. Although the Hungarian forces had taken many casualties in this daring attack it had won the day.
Hungarian Casualties-3000 wounded 500 dead and Major Jortov was killed.[/QUOTE]
YOur troops are in beijing. Unless drafted more around Lhasa, it would take at least a year to reach my troops. Due to the fact of little or no roads, and the mountainous terrain. Again... New Mexico-to-Washington DC. That's the distance.

VERY unclear. So your troops, attacked, and fell back? My troops had spcific orders in an earlier post to sit back and wait for your attack. they wouldn't budge, as they have you surrounded and dug in. there is no need to persue.

ALSO, history tells us that the Chinese troops were undiciplined conscripts with little or no training, while the japanese were veterens at their trade.

You stated 4 batallions. ok, 4 batallions makes about en entire division of troops... 10,000 men. + 14,000 hungarians makes 24,000 men.

One of my armies makes up 5 divisions. So, 50,000 men against 24,000 men. Lets throw a few more factors in there.

YOU:No airsupport on your side...
ME:Lots of air support on my side...

ME: Fixed and defendable positions (trenches, bunkers, ect...)
YOU: are attacking. And since you burned everything, there is nothing for your troops to hide behind but a wide open feild of ash.

Now, China's favorite tatic was a mass assult by a huge number of troops, since their troops were poroly trained.

ME: 50,000 men (assuming that I am foolish enough to not have reserve divisions)
YOU:24,000 men.

Supplies:
ME: I have unmolested supply lines
YOU: have little or no supplies from my seige and your burning of the country side.

Its their culture. its been that way for centuries and generations. Read some history. The only way a japanese soldier could be captured is if he can be taken down before being shot up by your soldiers, or pulling a gun to his gead. No cyanide, thank you. to them it isn't macho-heroism, its expected in their culture.

Lets go positive: My troops would kick the outnumbered chinese's ass. IF i sent an army against you, we would out number you and would be a lot more profossional. Now you are gonna complain about me acting all superior, but chinese troops in WW2 were as good as human sheilds, THANKYOU.

The Socialist State of Turkey was to be given up to the USSR. They were to become a Soviet Republic. Aziz began his speech "In a telegram I recieved yesterday, Mustafa Kemal told me of a gift he wished to give the USSR and it's grand leader Iosif Stalin. He said that The Socialist State of Turkey is to become a Soviet Republic and be governed by a Soviet appointed Governor. Our military is to be assimilated into the Soviet Unions military and our political leaders will join the USSR's Communist party. We belive this to be for the good of the people and wish all nations to recognize Turkey as a Soviet Republic." Italy secretly began building a new bomber and fighter airbase outside of Genoa, Italy. The new airbase would have six runways of 6,000 meter length, and three-hundred bomber hangers. One-thousand of the new AA guns from Japan were setup in around the new airbase, producing a solid circle of AA coverage. Six-thousand AA guns were positioned in the same design around Milan. Eight-thousand were positioned in the same design around Rome. Another two-thousand were positioned in the same design around the naval base at Trieste. Two-thousand were positioned around Naples. Ten-thousand were positioned around the northern city of Venice and surrounding areas, producing a huge AA coverage circle. The island of Sicily also was positioned with ten-thousand AA guns.

Meanwhile, radar stations were being built along the northern border, down both coasts, on Sicily, and around all major cities, airbases, army bases, and naval bases.

The divisions on the Finnish-Swedish border were ready and the order to attack was given.
Their first mission was to capture Kiruna and secure the railroads that shipped iron ore to Norway. They would then move southeast towards the coast and follow it south, capturing Boden,Luleå, Piteå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik, Härnösand and Sundsvall while the Baltic fleet protected convoys of supplies coming from Leningrad. When the divisions had reorganized themselves they would push further south towards the Gävle, Uppsala and finally Stockholm itself. By that time the Lithuanian divisions would have reached and laid siege to the city.

Well... requesting India to claim territory around Lhasa will preserve your gov't. I recommend Auctually conscripting more troops, distributing loyal officers equally amungst their ranks, divisde them up into... about 200 fighting squads and harrass my advance. Well, inorder to get there, I would be required to navigate across a huge range of mountains and several rivers. With these fighting squads, I suggest you blend some of them in amungst the local population. Then, when my main wave of troops pass by, you start harrassing my supply lines, forcing me to pull back troops from the front to protect the supplies. then, with the majority of your fighting squads, you basically fortify every chain of mountains and keep fighting us from fortified positions until we approach, then you run like hell. After you run out of fortified terrain, what you want to do is attack. Attack in 'jabs'. Lets say you do a hit and run on my right flank several times (quickly though), forcing me to reinforce that area quickly. that would leave a 'soft spot' where there are fewer troops next to that flak in the line. You hit that, and basically continue playing delaying games with me. Delay my troops long enough for some of your allie's troops to move in in force... enough force to auctually defeat me. 14,000 hungarians won't cut it.

As Sweden

The shells hit the beach hard. The ill-equipped and unexperienced Swedish soldiers were shocked and fell easily. After only a brief battle, the majority of them lay dead, the remainder retreated further inland. Immediately the Swedish government made a decisive move. 50% of their troops were moved to intercept the combined Russian-Baltic offensive. Already over 2,000 Swedish troops lay dead, to rival only minor casualties on the other side. The Swedes would fight to the death, which may well come to them all.

Churchill sat at the large desk in his wood pannelled office in Downing Street. He was, frankly, bored. He had been made leader of the Conservative Party through the belief that a war in Europe was imminent, but it appeared that all fears had subsided. He had increased the size of the army and Royal Navy; he had made the Royal Air Force a real weapon. But that had all seemed fairly pointless. Yes, the Chinese and Japanese were killing each other at a rather alarming rate, but the Empire wasn't threatened. The Russians were doing a couple of dodgy things around there borders, but it wasn't threatening any allies. Even if he wanted to do anything, Parliament wouldn't let him; the terror that had been the Great War was still played on everyones mind.
He sucked on his trademark cigar, placed it, still lit, in a Stationary Office ashtray, got up and moved over to the drinks cabinet where he poured himself a generous brandy, whereupon he sat down and resumed smoking his cigar.
He was still bored, though.
Churchill opened one of the top draw in his desk and started rummaging around, until he finally found what he was looking for: a pack of playing cards.
He dealt out a game of 'Patience' in front of him. The facing cards were a red five, two red nines, a black ten, a red jack, a black three and a black king; he began to play...

The Dutch troops waited in their bunkers, waiting for the order. After their re-training and re-equipping, they felt prepared for any combat situation. The Captain walked into the room.
"The message is through. Check that you are fully equipped and prepared, then get in the trucks."

The soldiers quickly checked that their guns were loaded and that they had all their equipment, then they got on the trucks and armoured cars, leaving a small portion of troops to hold the bunker complex and trenches. The trucks thundered off, into Belgian territory, their mission: to seize power from the Belgian government. The government had been corrupted by Nazi propoganda from Luxembourg, and was now in a state of unrest. Soon, it would be a protectorate. The Netherlands was going to war.

Churchill had managed to get through games of patients, and had gotten stuck on the forth, when his secretary buzzed him on the intercom

"Sorry to disturb you, Prime Minister, but the Foriegn Secretary wishes to speak with you"

"Show him in"

A few seconds later Anthony Eden walked in,

"Prime Minister, we've had reports from our Embassy in Stockholm that the Swedish are preparing for war; or rather, they are preparing their defence on the Eastern border"

"The Soviet Union?"

"Yes"

"What do you suggest we do?"

"We must ally ourselves with Sweden, sir; the Soviet Union's expansionistic policies have already swallowed Finland; and Marxism has spread to Hungary and Turkey. There is even a thriving communist party in this land; you must admit, Prime Minister, that Marxism is a threat to our nation and our Empire."

Churchill sucked his cigar

"Indeed it is. Indeed it is"

"And that's not all, Prime Minister, I'm afraid"

"Yes?"

"Our ally, the Netherlands, is on the brink of war with Luxembourg, according to embassy reports"

"Luxembourg?"

"Yes, sir."

"Send in a division in aid of Holland. A landlocked principality should be easy enough for the largest Empire on the planet to battle"

The only reason Sweden remained nutural, was because if anyone attacked it, every european nation would get pissed off at the posibility of losing their High-grade metal sorce. (High-grade metals make Tanks, some airplanes, artillary, AA guns, armored personnel carriers, ect... if Rusia takes it, Europe will have a fixed supply of war machienes and could not rebuild or build any more armored vehicules in sufficient quantities( some other countries, most notable spain, has some access to other metals in their country, but the supply is limited.). A surge of Mexican infantry sprinted out of a shore base on the Baja penninsula. Planes swarmed overhead, strafing infantry and dropping bombs, sending limbs flying everywhere. An unknown force had just hit Baja hard early in the morning.
The surviving first wave of mexicans ran towards the dunes on the beach. Sure enough, there were troop transports and equiptment scttered everywhere. There were no troops in sight.
"Hekehazuah!"
The dunes came in front of the Mexicans came to life, as japanese troops stood up to cheer and fire a volly at the mexicans. After about 2 seconds of firing, a wave of screaming and yelling Japanese troops rushed upon the startled mexicans with bayonnets and katanas.

"Que hizo?"
The officer shrugged. Then he screamed.
A katana petruded through his chest with warm blood all over the end. The officer screamed again then collapsed as the katana was pulled out. All aids and officers but the Mexican general were slaughtered by some sort of kick-ass elite unit. While most of the mexican troops were lured away,The Imperial guards division had snuck into the base while the guards were occupied with watching out for bombs of strafing runs by the planes.

A japanese man with a gold-trimmed hat stepped out of the crowd of Japanese surrounding himn, their guns pointed. Clearly this was the japanese General.

We cannot provide the battle ships as we need all available naval assets at this time. However, with the current factory exapnsion, we will be easily able to construct your other orders. However, we simply cannot mine enough highgrade Iron, alumnium, tin, and other metals to provide you with a sufficient amount. We also notice that you have steel mills and large iron deposits all around spain; along with fine metal workshops. We would like access to these inorder to continue to supply the large number of weapons you require.

On another note, we can also provide you with all of our weapon designs for domestic-only production. This would ease the strain on our factories and give your factories something to do, as they apparently are not producing war equiptment at this time. We feel it is absolutely necessary to not depend entirely on foreign imports. This is why we have provided our ally, Italy, with engineeers and technology to train them in the production of and matienence of japanese weapons. They also are aiding the italians with their weapons reasearch. We can offer you the same.

-Mexico-
With the Mexican army base of Baja swept aside, the entire Mexican army massed to cut off the japanese around Mexicali and the opposite bank of the colorado river. The mexicans outnumbered the Japanese 2 to 1, but lacked the air support to back up their numbers. japanese planes were making almoast 15 raids and attacks a day, allowing little leisure time for the pilots. The mexicans knew, that if they sat on the far side of the river much longer, japanese mortars, planes, and artillary would crush them. With that, the battle for Mexico had begun.

-December 5, 1938.Dawn, 5:00. Banks of the Colorado river.-
Hirishimo Nakohuimosui woke up in his trench and felt relaxed for the first time in a week. he loved the sound of waves laping against the shore, especially since he had grown up in a small japanese fishing village before he was drafted. Waves... Waves!? There were no stinking waves on a river.

He lept up and snatched his sub machine gun and thrust it down into the little groove outside his trench. Through the dim light, he could see mexican soldiers paddling their way to the japanese lines in small rafts. Hirishimo considered yelling for everyone to wake up, but gunfire would have the same effect. His face low in the dirt, and only his eyes and helmet visible, he began to pour gunfire onto the nearest raft. The mexicans screamed and fell into the water, dead. The raft suddenly moved backwards, apparently being pulled back by a rope by the mexicans. Soon, after shooting off a few clips, every japanese soldier was awake and firing.

"Vamos! Vamos!"
Few mexicans made it to the shore alive and if they did, they either died from gunfire or were hiding behind something. The mexicans were suffering grevious casuilties, but wouldn't stop their attack.

(The online transylator REFUSES to transylate japanese without throwing in a lot of question marks, so i did the next best thing. PHILLIPINO!!)

"Tayo mangilangan pahanginan hapunan! Ngayon! Mexican pilitin ay salakayin sa tapat ang ilog , kanila lagyan ng numero ay lubha malaki!"

With that, zeros roared into action, strrafing the waiting mexicans on the opposite shore. Another wave of rafts were comming.

The Japanese threw up a smoke screen, blinding the men on the rafts from seeing the japanease, but also preventing the japanese from seeing them. All japanese troops were ordered forward silently, and they quickly killed off any mexican survivors cowering on the beach. The approaching mexicans entered the fog from their rafts and just got off, when a volly of gunfire cut them all down. the japanese lept onto the rafts, grapbbed the paddles, and began to paddle to the mexican lines. Since there were no ropes to pull the rafts back, it would be a one shot deal. Since that was the case, the Imperial guards division were the ones on the rafts, and were the ones making the assult.

It took awhile for the mexicans to realize that the japanese had atken their rafts, but could do little to stop it. if they fired at the japanese, the planes would strafe them since they were easy targets. If they ignored the incomming japanese troops, they would be slaughtered.

"For the emperor!"
The japanese lept off their rafts and met with scattered fire. The mexicans began to rout, and the Japanese troops cut most of them down. The ones who escaped were persued by swarms of angry Zero fighters. The battle for Mexico was won, and nothing stood in Japan's way to ultimate domination of Mexico and its resources.

While the troops slept, Commander Grabow stood up, looking at the map. He knew that most likely there would be opposition to slow him down while marching. However, should he take them out to lower any resistance, espesially when it would be a lot harder to control Sweden with a good number of capatalist supportors? Grabow knew that he wold just have to wait for the orders from the partisons. Grabow cleaned up, turned off his lantern, and fell asleep.

Sir John Birdwood was sick, very sick. He had been in hospital for the last couple of months while the country was run by the Minister of Defence. He was brought home this morning, the doctors were sure he would die. He lay in his bed as the minister of defence entered the room.

Jim Prescot:"Sir, we have troubling news. You are still the PM so we need your advice and your order."
Birdwood: (weak voice)"Tell me...quickly."
Prescot:"Well, the Netherlands have invaded Belgium. This was a cause for Luxemburg to declare war on the Netherlands. This could erupt in a full scale war. Japan in a quick move has attacked Mexico and clearly defeated the Mexican army. America hasn't reacted yet but I could think what the mood in the White House is. And the rearment project has finaly been finished. We have proposed a second round of training and building."
Birdwood:"Do what you can, and watch for Japan. They might try something surprising what could be nasty for us."
Prescot:"Roghto, sir. Get well soo."
Birdwood:"I probably won't...

I am just wondering why Croatia exists in 1938. At this point in time it is Yugoslavia. Croatia was created by Germany after the downfall of Yugoslavia in 1940 so Croatia should enver exist at this point and could only exist should Germany decide to declare war on Yugoslavia and be successful in beating it and then decide to instill the Croatian government.

HMS King George V-The Danish Straits; 2200hrs

There was a rough storm, and the Kent screen seemed almost pointless in it's futile efforts to give some visibility to officer of the watch. The hatch onto the deck opened, causing the wind to cut through the bridge like a steak knife through warm butter, and out from the cold and rain emerged Captain Colin Johnstone and Chief Petty Officer Freel, wearing their oilskins and balaclava, both dripping wet.
"I'm glad I didn't need to be out there any longer, number one"

"I'm glad I didn't need to go out at all, sir" quipped the First Lieutenant and tonight's officer of the watch, Commander Stephens. The Captain gave a short laugh, before continuing

"Any reports from the met. office, number one?", asked the Captain, referring to the storm

"No change, I'm afraid, sir"

"So, midday tomorrow?"

"Aye, sir"

"At least it'll keep the 'planes and u-boats away; right, I think I'll turn in for the night"

The Captain's cabin, ten minutes later

Johnstone sat down at his desk and examined the information from the met office, when there was a short but authorative knock on the door. Johnstone got up from to open it, knowing who was: Vice-Admiral James Rolland-Torrance.
"Yes, sir?" asked the Captain, as he opened the door

"Ah, yes, Johnstone. I was wondering when we're going to get out of this storm."

"Tomorrow midday, sir."

"And whats our estimated time of arrival in the Baltic"

"Four o'clock tomorrow morning"

"Right then, just so you know, I've sent a telegram, encoded of course, to all other ships in the fleet notify all ships in the fleet to zigzag, bar the carrier. The carrier will be placed in the centre and will move forward in the usual way at half speed; aircraft from the carrier will scan for submarines with ASDIC ahead of the fleet. Hopefully, the damn Russkie's won't know what hit them, what!"

"Aye aye, sir"

"That's all. Goodnight, Johnstone"

"Goodnight, sir"

-Mexico-
A fat sweaty Mexican general sat in the great palace of the President. He was trying to orginize resistance against Japan, but knew it was futile. Knowing this, he had contacted an anymanous Japanese agent in Mexico, relaying the message:

-Senors of Japan,
I wish to join your noble nation in the hopes of preserving mexico and my family. I hereby promise to sabotauge any efforts by the mexican gov't to put up an resistance.
~ Gen. Lopez

Gen Lopez was cautious with his work. Of course, he was orginizing resistance. But he had put a figure head at the head of the resistance to hide his Intent. He was going to wait until the outcome in this conflict was clear, then throw all his 'weight' into the winning side.

-Agent in Mexico, 3 days earlier-
Hidieyoki Hoshiyakama had shadowed the gen's every movement. Unfortunately the general wasn't too bright and not very aware of his surroundings. This was apparent because he wouldn't dare try to expose himself as a double crosser, especially with the meetings with the figure head of the resistance movement being set up, and the apparent (and horribly encoded) letters to the resistance leaders. That double crossing bastard...

He sealed the envelope on his desk and sealed it with the Ace's Tomato Company wax seal... the Japanese undercover official seal.

He moved into the street in borad daylight to deliver the mail to a contact. No one stared at him, or even gave a second glance. After all, he was only a quarter japanese. His grandmother had been japanese; marrying into the family of a wealthy Mexican merchant. This gave him unlimited access to all important gov't buildings, as his father invested heavily in the gov't and had given 'gifts' to the mexican president. He pitied this corrupt gov't that was about to be brutally murdered with the sending of a simple letter....

Zhukov shook his head. The British fleet in the Baltic was a great problem since the Baltic Fleet was in no way capable of taking it out. And even the smallest aggression might lead to a full scale war, something he did not want to risk now that they were so close to their goal. The army was close to Uppsala now, only a few miles away from Stockholm and they were running out of supplies, supplies wich now would have to be sent via land since the British fleet could intercept any convoys in the Finnish bay. He shook his head and ordered his officers to make one final push towards Stockholm. He also telegraphed his allies in the south of Sweden to ignore any towns and head for Stockholm at full speed, the towns would be neutralized after the capture of the capital.

Vice Admiral Migues Lopez ordered the landing craft to head for the shore. when they arived they where met by several Guatemalan troops but with the new Japanses Arisaka Type 99 submachine guns the Guatemalan solders soon retreted.

the attack was forwarded to Guatemalan military command. the Gernerals and Admirals all argued over who had attacked. some thought it was Japan do to the Japanses aircraft, weapons and they had where attacking Mexico. a very few but high ranking officers thought it was France because of the flags they had. last where a some who belived that the attacker was Spain. or some Latin American Nation because of there troops skin some solders had reported the attackers had. but it was dicided they would ask France why there where attacked if they found France had not attacked them they would ask the Japan and or Spain.

Grabow got the messege from Zhukov, and immediatly set out for Stockholm. Within a few hours, they Baltic invasion force was looking at the capitol of Sweden. Grabow knew that some where in the horizon, the russian forces were also closing in. Grabow had a feeling that without the Russians, the Baltic force may not be able to invade the city successfully. Grabow thought about waiting for Zhukov's forces to arrive. Then, he looked back at his men, he noticed his armor and some snipers in his force. Then, he got an idea. An idea that probrobly would make the seige of Stockholm much easier.

When his men were set up, snipers on the hill, and his armor on another, guns pointed at the city, Grabow raised his hand to get ready. His plan was preatty much flawless. Tanks would destroy the roads and some buildings with there shells. If any soldiers or any other resistance force charged at them, the snipers and other soldiers would pick them off. As Grabow saw his men ready, he chuckled. He struck his arm down, and the fire onto Stockholm had begun.

Gen Lopez turned in his bed. It was 3 AM, yet something made him uneasy. Perhaps he should run. No, that wouldn't work. The Americains are nutural, and everyone south of mexico was under attack. He would surely get caught.

He roled back onto his back. A Showdow suddenly moved quickly. He tried to get up, but suddenly he found himself pinned to the bead b7y a katana sticking out of his round, fat belly. He started to scream and jerk around. This lasted for a second before his throat was cut and before he drowned in his own bolld, gurgling out a few unintelegable words.

Thye ninjas moved swiftly through the night, killing and silencing all guards and gov't officials quickly. In the morniung, when most of the staff of the palace came back to work, they found everyone impaled to their beds by katanas, and the guards layed sprawled about, having been hit with flying stars, arrows, being stabbed, or etheir necks snapped. Utter anarchy and roits reigned in every mexican city that entire day. The gov't of mexico had collapsed.

Grabow watched as the capitol was being wrecked from the Baltic T-34's. The buildings were starting to crumpel, while there was no great enough force to stop them. Some brave men ran to try and stop him, but they were easily picked off from the snipers. At this rate, the Russians would arrive to no city at all.

Guatemala had discovered that it was Spain attacking them at this point but they did not have the power. the Spanish troops who had foght during the civil war and now rearmed by the Japanese where more than a match for the smaller less experianced Guatemalan army. by now Spain had captured some airstrips from the Guatemalas and has Spitfires attacking Guatemalan strongholds.

thousands of Guatemalan solders prepared to fight the comeing Spanish force. they where out numbered and had not tanks or air support but it was Guatemalas last chance to push Spain back. there chances where bad but the Spanish still had a way to go to reach the capital the line was set. the field looked much like a WWI trench and had a large amount of Machine guns mines and barbed wire infront of it. it had been made as soon as Spain attacked. the battle would determin who would win the war mostly do to the fact that most of Guatemalas solders where placed at this front and Spain was sending its whole attack force threw the area, tanks and planes as well as there solders. if they won the charge to Guatemala city would be very short the tanks moved out of the forest and into vew and imidiatly started firing. planes flew over head and fired into the trench or droped there bombs. the infintry would advance when it looked like most of the Guatemalans where dead, dieing, or retreating.

OOC: I researched some more. The best option would be a Japanese Flying Boat, the Kawanishi H8K to be exact. That would have a range of 7800 km.

EDIT: It's possible! From Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy (My main naval base) to Beijing, Beijing, China (Vineyard controled) is exactly 7,795 km. The plane could refuel and fly to Tokyo from there. Since that only leaves 5 km (!!!!!!) space, a few external fueltanks would need to be added, but nothing major.

ill start in order

Akagi - was not sunk by bombs she was sunk by Japanese destoyers torpedos the next morning as she was too badly damaged by the bombs

Kaga - At 1925 KAGA is rocked by two great explosions and sinks stern first

maybe scuttled by destroyer

Hiryu - bombed - major explostion - scuttled by one torpedo

Soryu - 3 direct bomb hits casuing furious fires and explosions

The Fleet had been split into two, the first took position along the Swedish coast, under the command of Commodore First Class Francis, consiting of four Battleships, two Carriers, 16 cruisers, 45 destroyers and 12 submarines. The second, under the command of Vice-Admiral Rolland-Torrance, consited of five battleships, two carriers, 19 cruisers, 50 detroyers and 13 submarines.
Both had similar missions. Francis's fleet was in position, on the Swedish coastline. Rolland-Torrance's was still on it's way to the Gulf of Finland, maintining the precautions that were previously in place; the ships zig-zagged, and aircraft were scanning the sea for submarines.

The orders of Francis's fleet were as follows:
Bombard Soviet Forward Positions outside Stockholm;
Bomb Soviet Forward Positions, using fleet air arm from carriers;
Maintain protection from submarine attack, using spotter 'planes and ASDIC devices on destroyers
Destroyers to be arranged to prevent air attack.

Rolland-Torrance's fleet's orders were the same, except they weren't to attack the Soviet Forward position. They were to cripple the Soviet Naval Base in Leningrad...

Gen Hishimo Matasaka was the commander of the armies being sent to luxemburg, they had already landed in italy and were now on the border of switzerland.

Unfortunately for the swiss bastards, they were sending in MPs to form a human chain with arms linked. Apparently toe fools didn't want them to march through switzerland.

Matasaka waved over one his aids.

"Get the men ready for combat. i hate to do this, but we will have to kill these Swiss fools if they persist to do this."
"Yes sir!"

Matasaka had another idea for these swiss bastards though. Instead of simply carving a path through Switzerland, why not conquer it? A conquered Country is much better than a conquered road. But he needed an excuse if he wanted to conquer the Swiss.

"Send in a batallion and try to force our way through. Do not fire opon them."

Matasaka watched through his Binoculars as a batallion picked up their guns and fixed their bayonetts. They then Began a steady march to the border gate. A uniformed Swiss general appeared on the top section of the gate and got a mega phone and started screaming unintellegable german at the Japanese.

"Do we have a transylator?"
"Yep!"
"Who?"
"... me..."
"Go up there and insult him. Oh, and try to get shot."
The aid stood there with a gaping mouth. he noticed that he was gaping and briskly noded and hurried off.

Matasaka picked up his binoculars and watched the staff car race to the gate. the aid got out and strode in a cocky fasion to the gate, yelling back at the man. The Swiss general quickly became red in the face and soon had the look of a crazed man. His hands twitched. he snatched a gun out of an MP's hands and opened fire on the aid, killing him. As soon as gunfire erupted, the MPs and the lone batallion began to exchange fire.

Matasaka grabbed a radio.
::CHARGE!!::

The messgae was heard on the front, and Chi-Has began to race forward. The Japanese mass of troops standing in formation cheered and the line surged forward with thousands of Japanese racing towards the MPs.

Kalinin stepped forward, tiny pearls of sweat shined like diamonds in the light of the spotlights and he nervously corrected his tie wich hanged a bit far to the right.

In the hospital the nurses were giving Stalin morfine and oxygen.

Stalin breathed heavily one last time and shut up his eyes in fear. Then it was over.

"of all the neutrals Switzerland has the greatest right distinction... She has been a Democratic State, standing for freedom in self-defense among her mountains, and in thought, in spite of race, largely on our side."

And Vineyard? Why the heck are you invading one of our only three trading partners?

And don't think it will be easy:
Every man was trained in war, had his rifle at home, was encouraged to practice frequently, and could be mobilized almost instantly. The Swiss militiaman was under orders to fight to the last bullet, and after that, with his bayonet, and after that, with his bare hands. Rather than having to defeat an army, [you] would have had to defeat a whole people...with its extensive network of fortifications.

To PM Winston Churchill and France,
This telegram has been sent to you in order for our three countries to work together. As you may remember, our countries can and have put their cultural and social differences behind them to counter threats in the past. Our final investigation proves that the French were not to blame for Hitler's death...Jodl was...and as much as it pains us to say it, our General was a traitor. However, in order for you to know this, this must be kept secret because those who Jodl was planning with will know if this news leaves anybody’s lips. We humbly offer an alliance with the two of you and wish to avoid another Great War from happening in Europe.

Dublin Castle - In the wake of an unprecendented series of bombings by the Irish Republican Army specifically targeted at British interests within Eire, Taioseach Eamon de Valera and the Dail enacted the Emergency Powers Act and the Offences against the State Act. 'We simply must secure the public safety and ensure the preservation of the State in this time of violence and instability.' de Valera continued 'The recent transgressions against the sovereignty of Sweden, Switzerland and Belgium is cause for alarm on the world stage. I would like to assure the Irish people that I will address these deplorable acts through the League of Nations however firstly we must attend to our concerns at home.' Excerpts of the Acts indicate that the government will be enabled to provide for the punishment of those that would undermine public order, regulate the formation of associations and establish special criminal courts in accordance with article 38 of the Constitution.

Snow flakes coated the great fur cloak and hood of Matasaka. The swiss had been beaten back, and now were spread out in their little mountain fortresses and bunkers. They wern't fools, so they kept reserve divisions to plug holeswhere ever they appeared.

Matasaka took another glanse through his binoculars at the dark looming fortress thousands of feet up and strode back to the command tent. There, the officers were huddled around a fire and the radio operator was cradling a hand warmer.

"Get the Italians. Call an airstrike on this fortress."
He poked a glove finger at a fortress further south.

"Why sir? We arn't attacking it!"
"Really?"
"Yes, really...."
"Do you take me for a fool?"
"Well... no..."
"That's too bad. Because i take YOU for a fool. NO. We are not attacking it. But the swiss will think we are and will rush reinforcements there. And that fortress is isolated. This birdge (points to a bridge a little North) can be knocked out, effectivly isolating them after they reinforce their position."

He pointed to a fortress further north.

"THIS is where we will attack. There are no other outposts or bunker works behid it because this is the swisse's best fort. It is protected by a trecherously steep slope, and boasts a garrison of 2,000 men an a huge array of guns."

Now, he strode towards the logistics officer.

"Do we have those parachutes yet?"
"Yes sir. The engineers relayed back the parachute schmatice from spain to our italian based engineers, and they have made close to 3,000 parachutes using rented factories."
"Good. Prepare the 3ed Light Mountaineer Division for their new ordeal. Put them through a parachuting crash course. I have been assured that there are parachutist training grounds being build in italy. Send them to train. it will only take a day to get there... 6 days of training... and then we will attack. They will be dropped into the fortress itself."

IC:
HMS Hood
"Sir, our spotter planes have picked up submarines blockading the harbour; there preparing to attack our fleet, along with a battleship"
"Right, send in the Swordfishes from the HMS Hermes to torpedo the battleships. Tell the other battleships to continue bombing forward positions, we'll aim our guns at the Soviet battleship. Get our spotter planes to locate their subs, and get a couple of our destroyers to let off depth charges in their vicinity. For God sake, make sure our subs are clear, Commander Green"
On the horizon, fire filled the sky.
"Shit, they got the Basilisk!"

British Losses: 1 Destroyer (OoC: Seems realistic, to me...)

Over Leningrad
The Fulmar and Sword of the Victorious were over Leningrad. The Fulmars only had two 113 kg bombs each, but it would be enough when combined with the torpedos carried by the Swordfishes. As the Naval base loomed below, Commander Murchantson gave the order:
"Cutless to Broadsword and Foil, do you read me over?"
"Broadsword calling Cutless. I am reading you strength three, repeat, strength three. Over"
"Foil calling Cutless, we are recieving. Over"
"Foil attack ground installations, Cutless you go for the ships. Begin first attack"
"Roger that, sir"
"Roger and out"

HMS King George V
"Right, begin the bombardment"
"Aye sir!"

The fimiliar explosions came from the large guns aboard the King George V. Soon, all the other cruisers and battleships were following suit.

The combined attack from air and sea turned Leningrad docks and much of the old city to flames.
Rolland-Torrance smiled. This was war...

Chancellor Rommel,
We are glad you have accepted our agreement of a alliance between our two nations; and we hope that this can finally lead to peace between us, and we can leave our troubled past behind. Britain, has you know, has recently engaged in hostilities against the Soviet Union, and we hope we can count on your support. We feel that now is the time, as they will be bogged down too hard in Sweden. The Swede's historic relationship with Russia has always been rocky, and we believe that they will never subject themselves to Soviet Rule. The Soviet will need to maintain a large force to keep control, leaving us available. Our generals have proposed the following battleplan, with Germany (and hopefully France) utilising it's army strength, and our Kingdom utilising our huge Navy. A copy will be sent via you embassy in London.

We propose that Germany send in a land attack with Eketerinburg and the industry in the Urals as the final target, with a primary target of Moscow and the oil fields in the Caucasus. Britain will take over Murmansk, and lead an amphibious assault against Stockholm and Helsinki, before marching on Leningrad. We'll regroup at Leningrad and march on Moscow with the German forces. When both British and German forces are in position, we'll march into Moscow. Britain will attempt to cut off supplies from the Urals prior to the occupation.
Germany will then split and head to Eketerinburg and the Caucasus. In the Caucasus, you'll meet up with British troops, before taking over the oil fields together.

An open letter to the British Government

Your time of tyranny and oppression is over. The unification of the whole of Ireland under the flag of a new Irish Republic is our sole objective and we will stop at nothing to achieve that objective. The plundering of Ireland's resources and the subjugation of her people will no longer be tolerated. The people of Eire demand forthwith the full demobilisation and removal of all British forces from what is referred to as 'Northern Ireland', the turnover of all public institutions and administrative facilities currently under British rule in the aforementioned region to the duly elected representatives of the Government of Ireland and the cessation of any future machinations and attempts at dominion over this land. Failure to comply with these requirements will bring about a de facto state of war between the Irish Republican Army and the British Government.

Churchill had noticed the notice in the Times. It was a problem; at any other point in time he could have ignored it, but not now. Britain was, for all intents and purposes, at war with the Soviet Union, or at least on the brink of it; yet he couldn't realistically give into any demands; after all, the vast majority of those in Northern Ireland wanted to remain British and to violate this would violate the entire concept of self determination; indeed Northern Ireland would reject any plebiscite in the first place, let alone vote for unification in one. The main problem was financial support from the USA, where those of Irish origin had this romantic image of the IRA as glorious freedom fighters, without realising that the logic behind the IRA was nothing more than the rather old fashioned theory that, because Ireland is a clear landmass it should be a united country, without realising that such logic when applied to the US would mean that there territories in Alaska should become Canadian and part of the Empire.
Ireland population was 4 million, the North's was about 2 million. Churchill doubted that the Free State could sustain an increase to it's population of 50%. But yet, he thought, that could be in our favour. The only reason that Northern Ireland had any wealth was because of the lower British taxes, and other economic benefits that being in the Empire wrought.
A plan hatched in his head, but he would wait to see if the IRA could do any real damage, apart from blowing a couple of legs off children in Basingstoke or Clapham.

As the British planes came in for an attack round the AAA began to fire, the small 20 and 30 mm as well as the large 85. The sky was coloured black by gunpowder and shrapnel as the ships' own AAA joined.

The sky lit up with tracers from the anti aircraft guns as Sub-Lieutenant Williams made his dive for one of the large buildings in the port; shrapnel ripped through the small Fulmar plane. Williams screemed as a hot lump of metal penetrated his shoulder. His plane was going down. He tried to unhitch the canpoy, but the pain in his shoulder was unbearable. He was a dead man. He finally made his peace with his God, pointed the nose of his 'plane at the large battleship in the docks, and fell unconscious.

Government Passes The War Act
The act includes temporary nationalisation of the railways, the Merchant Marine, roads, the London Underground and other public transport services as well as munitions manufacturers and other industries vital to the war effort. The act also introduces conscription and the introduction of rationing; it also forms to Auxiliary Home Service, which will provide conscripted citizens for work on farms and industries nationalised by this act.
The Consription Clauses
The British Government today has introduced conscription for all male British Citizens between the ages of 18-30; they will serve in the Army, Navy or Air Force, although consciencious objectors will be allowed to serve in the newly created Auxiliary Home Service. The bill also reserves the right to conscript women between the same ages, although they will be forbidden to serve on the front lines.

As the plane came in for a Kamikaze like attack the Marat's (I think the battleship was called that) portside AAA concentrated on the small plane, or at least what was left of it. They were somehow unable to hit it and the plane crashed into the portside deck and exploded. Two 20 mm AA guns were destroyed and at least thirty crewmen were killed or badly wounded. A fire erupted and quickly spread towards the aft. Then the bombs exploded and ablasted a large hole in the wooden deck and a compartement underneath, the wreckage came crashing into the compartements below and killed another twenty crewmen although not penetrating the keel.

The division stationed in Leningrad contributed to the battle sending AA brigades to combat the planes and AT guns to fight the smaller ships and maybe get lucky shot at the battleship's bridge.

Pyotr Zaitsev, a large blonde man with a great beard and also the captain on oneof the subs, saw what was happening and decided to try his luck by firing his torpedos from ahead of the battleship. It was wider than the sub and therefore he had a chance to hit, although streams could affect the torpedo enough to make it miss.

The aid sighed and pulled a pistol on the president. his partner succeeded, so now it was his turn to prove he was just as good.

BANG.

We are unable to sell you any weapons other than 100,000 surplus Mauser 98k's because we are currently rearming our army. We do not wish to offend, but our skins come first. We do have some plans, however, for domestic weapons you may produce including a simple submachine gun.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
We are voting on a declaration of war against Russia later today, however, you can be assured action is already being taken. We have fifty submarines in the Baltic, twenty in the Atlantic, and eighty waiting off their Pacific coast in order . Planes are also ammassing for a suprise attack in accordance with your general plans. The strike shall happen before war is declared, and the main target is Moscow itself. We shall Blitz to her outskirts and dig in for a long fight outside her main cities. Her oil fields will be ours either intact or shredded. It matters not, as long as we hold the real-estate. The reason for telling you this is because some of our ships will operate in your waters, and we wish you to do the same with us. We are allies in this struggle against Communism and tyrrany, and as such some of my best Generals are also en route to London with this message in order to plan with your Generals.
--Your humble Servant,
Erwin Rommel

The HMS Canberra together with its escorts neared Tokyo. It had been a rther pleasant trip if not the news of the outside world had shocked the traveling gouvernment officials and higher officers. The Switzerland invasion was just...unlogical. The news of the declaration of war on the USSR was expected, due to the Swedish-British Alliance. "Maybe I can persuade Japan and the others to declare war on the USSR as well. A grand alliance against one foe. At least we're not at war in that scenario, which is one reason to try it." Prime Minister John Prescot returned to look to the beautifull sunset.

Meanwhile, the "invasion" (rather occupation, we're allies) force disembarked in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Nelson. They moved quickly inland to secure the entire country, which will take 2-3 RL days. The succesfull embarkment was quickly signed back to Canberra and on to the Prime Minister onboard the Canberra. That would cheer them up...

IRA HIT HARD, OVER 600 DETAINED
Dublin -- In the wake of the attacks executed in England just last week, the Garda cracked down on the challenge to public order and threat to international stability presented by the Irish Republican Army. Wielding their trademark truncheons not ungently, the Garda dragged some of the most well known members of the IRA to Kilmainham and clapped them in irons…
…authorities reported that among the items of note recovered from locations targeted by the raids were volumes of Communist literature, notably works by Marx, Lenin and Trotsky…
…Sean Russell, IRA Chief of Staff, and his lieutenant, Frank Ryan, were conspicuously absent from the aftermath of the retaliations…

Prime Minister Churchill,
The free nation of Eire expresses deepest condolences as regards the recent actions taken by the outlawed IRA on English soil. You and I have not always seen eye to eye on the issue of Irish independence but I hope you believe me when I state that the security of British interests within Eire is of utmost importance to the Irish people. In order to ensure said security and in order to quell some of the causes of internal dissent I entreat you not to allow for the conscription of Irish citizens within the armed forces of the British Empire. As evidenced by Irish enlistment in the British military throughout the Great War, our people have long held with Britain on international threats in a volunteer capacity. I entreat you to leave the freedom to go to war in the hands of the Irish people.
Respectfully,

The task force reached Costa Rica.

They were to quietly land on the beaches. Nobody in Costa Rica was aware of any war, so the landing would be smooth. The heavy-cruisers traveled as far as they could go into the waterfront, positioning their guns at the coast. The transport ships were to traveled up to around three-hundred yards from the coast before they stopped because of the water depth. Soldiers jumped down from the decks into landing craft. The landing craft then were rowed down to the beeches, where they were to establish a beachhead and build a harbor so the jeeps could be unloaded.

Benito's plane landed at a military airfeild in Tokyo. Stand there to greet him were 50 Inperial Guard in dress uniform and General Hideki Tojo, Commander over all Military Forces of japan. Benito was greeted and swiftly brought to a waiting motorcade of Armored cars. He was seated in an armored car, and was given a tray of sushi and a bottle of saki.
"This motorcade is for your own safety. We think the country is clean of enemy agents, but the intellegence dosen't think so." General Hideki Tojo said in rough italian. he waved his hand and the motorcade departed for the imperial palace.

The leaders of Spain and Luxemburg were taken to the imperial palace in this fasion as well.

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's fleet quickly converged on Prime Minister Jim Prescot's ships. Their mission: To escort the Austrailians in. Emperor Hitora didn't trust the austrailians too well, so Hirota sent the entire First fleet to escort them in. At the docks in Tokyo, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto and his Japanese Marine troops(sea-based troops) got off the ships and waited on the dock for the Prime Minister's ship to come around. When the Prime Ministed got off, there was another motorcade of armored cars waiting to take him to the imperial palace.
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto bowed and pulled out a bottle. "Saki?"

Over Leningrad
Murchant saw the devastation caused by Williams heroic last ditch attempt, and was saddened at losing one of his best pilots. He had to remember to recommend him for a posthumous VC; that is, if he survived himself. He took his little swordfish plane and aimed it at the battleship that was know illumated from the fire caused by Williams' 'plane.
"Broadsword, this is Cutless. Do you recieve me, over?"

"Recieving you loud and clear, over"

"What is your currant strength, over?"

"Ten, sir. Over"

"My squadrons down to four. You take yours, and try and take out as many of the battleships and carriers as you can, one torpedo each. Stay as low to the water as possible for as long as possible, it'll make you harder to hit; we'll take out that flaming battleship, over"

"Roger that, out"

Murchantson and his squadron took their swordfishes low to the water, the the enflamed ship grew closer and closer. They were to low for flack to do any damage, but they tried nonetheless. At 100 yards, Murchantson dropped his torpedo, and pulled up on the stick; just managing to clear the super structure. Ack Ack fired around him, but he managed to clear it. He turned his plane around and headed back for the carrier. He was lucky; he looked around in his seat and saw that one of the other Swordfish's wasn't so lucky, it's entire port wing ripped off by close AA fire. The Swordfish spun around violantly before plunging into one of the buildings on the dockside, erupting in flames.

HMS Hood
"Torpedo in the water, sir!"
"Sound the general alarm"
The klaxon wailed all over the ship.
"Heading for our bow, sir"
"Right, everyone, grab a rifle and head on deck"

30 seconds later
The sound of rifle fire from the deck was deafening; shooting at a torpedo was a rather old fashioned method, and was rearly used by the Royal Navy, but it worked every so often. Unfortunately, today wasn't a good day for luck. No-one managed to hit the damned thing, despite the water being peppered with bullets, yet. Simultaneous to this rather strange rifle fire from the deck, depth charges were being shot off the deck, landing in the general direction of the origin of the torpedo's wake.
CPO Goldsmith took his aim, shut his eyes, and pulled the trigger on his Lee Enfield .303. Almost instantatiously, a large explosion roared of the broadside. He had hit it.
Unfortunately, the explosion had been just too close to the bow of the protective submarine. Although the submarine hadn't been sunk, it's for'ard torpedo tubes were rendered inoperable, it's bow crushed. She could float, but she wouldn't be able to dive safely.

***Off Coast of Sweden***

Second-Admeral Fuman saw that his ship was taking heavy damage and would soon be sunk. He ordered the remaining battleships to continue fireing. Then he radioed the Baltics to finish any ships and send moreshjips to his location ASAP. Then Furman looked out towards the Baltics... and saw more ships: 3 Battleships, 4 submarines, and 2 destroyers. Then a shell hit the ship, and blew up. That was the last Furman ever saw.

***Stockholm***

Field Commander Grabow pulled 2 infantry divisions and 2 armor divisions back and sent them to aid the Russians against the newly come resistance. While the rest of the force continued to take Stockholm, Grabow grinned. This could be over soon.

The explosion rocked Marat and blew a large hole underneath the waterline. She was going down and the crewmen were jumping overboard or running for the lifeboats. Another huge explosion sent large waves through the water as the ammunition exploded and many were drowned or knocked unconscious.

''Dive! Dive!'' roared Pyotr as the depth charges detonated. The submarine hurried away but another charge detonated and buckled the hull.
''We're leaking sir!'' shouted the first mate. The crewmen were trying to seal the broken joints with table cloth and pillows but water kept coming in.
By now the captains on the other submarines had seen what Pyotr had done, although it wasn't a direct hit it still had done some damage to an escorting submarine. The captains ordered their crew to fire a torpedo at the Hood in the same way as Pyotr's sub had done and soon twenty (I think it was twenty subs in the Baltic fleet) dashed for the enemy.

OOC:thats a lot of battleships for a resistance. i think mabye the only three fleets that had more than five battleships in 1939 where Japan, USA, and UK. others may have had more than that. but i know that Spain was rated the 8th navy in the world and all thay had was 2 very small battleships.

OoC: Not meaning to sound like I'm god-moding, but I wouldn't recommend torpedoing the Hood; it had massive armour at the waterline (enough to withstand a 15 inch shell); plus she had a top speed of 31 knots (hence her designation as a battlecruiser)
