The IRD Fighter, short for Intercept * Reconnaissance * Defense, is a swift and heavily armed starfighter used by the Corporate Sector's Picket Fleet. It features powerful engines, twin laser cannons, and the best pilot ejection mechanism of any contemporary fighter, but lacks a hyperdrive. As a result, the IRD has to be transported by larger vessels such as the Marauder-class Corvette or the Victory-class Star Destroyer.
The Corporate Sector Authority designed the IRD for the various missions of the Picket Fleet. Early IRD models were not aerodynamic and performed so badly in atmospheric combat that many pilots refused to engage targets there; this led to the development of the IRD-A Fighter, which addressed these issues. With the success of the IRD-A, the original IRD has been all but phased out.

The J-type 327 Nubian Royal Starship is an example of the marriage between art and design. The craft was designed to embody the glory of Naboo royalty which represented the noble spirit of the citizens of Naboo. The vessel was, in fact, reserved only for use by the Naboo sovereign.
Naboo engineers claim that the royal starship is actually composed of two major components: the spaceframe and all the other components. This spaceframe, created by the skilled engineers of the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps is a single, long supple hull. The frame is covered in chromium, formerly used to shield starships from radiation but later used simply in a time-honored tradition. Per Naboo tradition, only the Queen's own vessel can be entirely chromium-covered, but royal starfighters, such as the N-1 Starfighter, have chromium on the front of their engines. Non-royal Naboo ships are forbidden to wear chromium.
The rest of the ship's components are provided by Nubian Design Collective, including the impressive T-14 hyperdrive generator. The T-14 is compact and accessible, unlike most other hyperdrives, and is powerful enough to take the ship from Naboo to Tatooine in a single jump even when damaged. It can also be raised from a compartment in the floor to allow easy checking, repairs, and even complete replacement.
The J-type 327 has no weapons since it was designed as a peaceful ambassadorial ship. The Headon-5 sublight engines, which have been modified by the Naboo to be environmentally friendly, can exceed the speed of most starfighters of its day. Its powerful deflector shields can withstand large amounts of damage, including bombardment by turbolaser emplacements. Intricate sensors built into the craft report damage instantly, allowing the crew to locate trouble spots immediately. When the starship is damaged, up to 8 astromech droids can be automatically deployed. These droids will even venture onto the surface of the ship's outer hull during flight, braving the vacuum of space and enemy fire to make emergency repairs.
J-type 327's have been used by other groups than the Kingdom of Naboo, but theses other vessels lack the chromium finish associated with Naboo.

Cargo Capacity: 6,540 Metric Tons
The Kaloth-class Battlecruiser is an older model capital ship, dating back to the days before the Rebel Alliance was formally created. It can carry a compliment of six starfighters and two shuttles, though this configuration has frequently been altered by tech crews working on the vessels. Few of these ships remain in service, and unlike the Nebulon-B Frigate, the Kaloth Battlecruiser has fallen to obscurity. Many are currently in the hands of pirate crews, such as the Survivors, and the Cavilrhu Pirates, or are in the hands of wealthy private collectors, though few are in what could be called good repair. On the other hand, some ships, such as the Harmzuay used by Thalassian Slavers have been heavily modified to pack a much more powerful punch than the stock model.
One of the most unusual features of the Kaloth-class are the two tractor beam mandibles extending out from the front of the ship. This feature, while narrowing the projecting arcs of the beams, means that the ship can easily 'latch on' to any unsuspecting vessel, contributing to its use by pirates. The ship is naturally slow in both sublight and hyperspace, though many have been modified to go faster. Its weaponry is higher than its distant cousin, the Nebulon-B, but its shielding and armor is similarly lower by comparison.

The LAF-250 Starfighter, also known as the Light Attack Fighter and the '250, is a light starfighter used primarily by the Corellian Defense Force, created to carry out a police role in the Corellian Sector.
Designed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation and built under the aegis of the Republic Engineering Corporation, the LAF-250 is designed to combine the traditional role of a starfighter with patrol duties.
The fighter is reasonably maneuverable, and capable of extended patrols of up to 48 hours, but shielding, speed and hull armor are no more than moderate, and in particular, the design's weapons loadout is light, consisting of just a pair of laser cannons.
While suitable for police work, the '250 is no match for well-equipped pirates, and after a wing of these starfighters was destroyed by one old Nebulon-B Frigate, the Corellian Defense Force demanded modifications to give the design greater speed and combat capabilities.
The modified version proved more successful and was eventually redesignated the HLAF-500.

Named after the Kimogila of Lok, the M12-L Kimogila Heavy Fighter is the heaviest in MandalMotors' line of snubfighters. Though it lacks the speed and maneuvering capabilities of its predecessors, its ability to cause wanton slaughter could outweigh these factors.
The Hutt crime organization, having set their sights on uncontested domination of the Galaxy's space smuggling and pilot/mercenary economies, turned to MandalMotors for yet another custom starship. The M12-L is a long-range multi-role starfighter with exceptional weapons capabilities and superb defensive systems. The numerous gun emplacements available aboard the M12 "Kimogila" allow it to serve as a heavy fighter, while its generous torpedo capabilities allow it to play the role of a 'bomber' in special circumstances. Due to its flexibility, this starfighter enjoyed a high degree of popularity among the free mercenaries in Dathomir and Endor.
The "Style 1" Kimogila features one wing per side, while the "Style 2" design features 2 wings per side, stacked on top of each other.

The largest of MandalMotors line of space combat vessels, the M22-T Krayt Gunship, true to its namesake, the Krayt Dragon, was a behemoth on the battlefield. Though, it had a small crew of only two, a pilot and a gunner, it could still lay down an impressive amount of firepower. Obviously slower than its counterparts, such as the Scyk and Dunelizard, it nonetheless, like other MandalMotors designs, was well-recieved.
Over time, the Hutt crime organization established itself as the dominant mercenary faction in known space. To maintain loyalty, Jabba the Hutt commissioned the M22-T Krayt Gunship from MandalMotors as a gift for his most powerful lieutenants. Jabba's under-bosses in remote systems represent a consistent risk to the Hutt empire - they often fight amongst themselves and contemplate large-scale mutinies. With this vessel, his remote commanders could afford to release, fire or kill vast swaths of employees while remaining profitable.
M3-A Scyk Fighter

2 Laser Cannons, 1 Concussion Missile Launcher
Crew: 1 Pilot
Cargo Capacity: 110 kg
Consumables: 2 Weeks
The lightest of all of MandalMotors fighter designs, the M3-A Scyk Fighter is a light interceptor named after the Scyk lizard of Tatooine.
Though the Scyk provides barely more amenities to its pilot than a standard TIE Fighter, it has two strong points - it is cheap and its weapon mount is designed to handle nearly anything. Its standard equipment consists of a weapon, an engine, a reactor, a capacitor and a weak shield generator. Its laser cannon can be easily swapped for an ion cannon, concussion missiles or a proton torpedo launcher. Large organizations use this versatility to create wings of starfighters with complementary weapon mixes, while individual pilots benefit by replacing or upgrading damaged weapons anywhere in the galaxy.
Apart from that, it has very little room for modifications or additional equipment, and is not able to fit a booster or a flight computer in addition to its default equipment, which forces the starfighter's pilots to rely on allied ships to plot a hyperspace jump.
There are two basic variations on the M3-A Scyk design, the main difference being that the second, less common design has an elongated section of the wings protrude forward past the cockpit. The difference in design has no known consequences on the performance of the starfighter. The design of the Scyk starfighter was also used as the basis for its successor model, the G1-M4-C Dunelizard Fighter.

Developed by Feethan Ottraw Scalable Assemblies, the Mankvim-814 Light Interceptor was mass-manufactured by automated factories designed by the Techno Union. The Confederacy established such a plant on Utapau during their occupation of the planet, ensuring a steady supply of aerial defense for their latest of temporary refuges.
The Mankvim-814 is simplistic in its engineering - a central reactor feeds power and plasma to a high-velocity ion-drive. A magnetized rudder vectors the flow of the ion thrust while smaller side thrusters further assist maneuverability. The reactor also powers the twin laser cannons that arm the craft.
After Hoersch-Kessel Drive was able to acquire the design, the original cockpit was altered to accommodate a living pilot, rather than the original B1 battle droid.

Other Systems: Magnetic Docking Clamp
The Manta-class Assault Starfighter was first manufactured by the Tapani Starship Cooperative at the Tallaan Shipyards during the height of the Galactic Empire and became the starfighter of choice in the Tapani Sector. The starfighter was designed to defend against pirates that preyed on ships traveling the Shapani Bypass, something which it accomplished amply. The design would later be modified by the Cult of Shadow after Shaela Aimreh Dorcha became part of the organization.
The Manta-class starfighter has a flat, organic design inspired by the creature for which it was named. It features a magnetic docking clamp instead of a mechanical landing claw, allowing the starfighter to clamp to the hull of a larger ship for transportation. The Tapani Sector version of the Manta-class starfighter is not fitted with a hyperdrive, hence the need for interstellar transport.
The starfighter has two configurations, acting as a high-speed interceptor or attack ship. While in intercept mode, the wings are configured parallel to the hull which maximizes speed but only provides average maneuverability, akin to an A-wing. Although few ships can outrun a Manta in this configuration, the aggressive capability of the ship is reduced since most power is automatically routed to the engines, leaving only the ion cannons enabled. When in attack mode, the wings swing down 90 degrees, enabling the fighter's two heavy laser cannons to be deployed, therefore greatly increasing the ship's attack potential. In attack mode, the fighter increases its maneuverability though it loses significant speed when it reduces its forward momentum for maneuvering.

The Meteor-class Q-Carrier was a troop transport used by the Mandalorian Mercs, and later Mandalorian Protectors. Its exclusive use by the Mandalorians earned it the name Mandalorian Drop Ship.
Designed and produced by MandalMotors, the Meteor-class acted as a drop ship capable of delivering Mandalorian soldiers quickly to the surface from the hangars of Mandalorian Dungeon Ships. The ships were reportedly shaped to resemble the faces of the primitive Mandalorians. In addition to heavy hull plating, the ship was protected with a twin blaster cannon on each side of the fuselage. Upon landing, four landing gear deployed capable of absorbing the shock of high-speed landings.
After the Mandalorian Civil War disrupted MandalMotors, the Meteor-class was replaced by the Kuat Drive Yards AIAT/i. However, in recent times, the Meteor-class Q-Carrier has made a comeback, as it regained popularity amongst the new breed of Mandalorian Protectors, whom stemmed from Mandalore Cadden Blackthorne's tutelage.

Recognizing the growing need for anti-capital ship weaponry, the designers at Kuat Systems Engineering produced a limited number of MorningStar Assault Starfighters, which were intended to ward off capital ships while still providing a solid starfighter screen. As more and more pirates, mercenaries, and outlaws gained control over powerful warships of capital size, the demand for a countermeasure from planets that did not produce their own starfighters became readily apparent.
As with many starfighters of the time, these ships found their way into the very hands of those they were supposed to protect against, but once KSE was reacquired by their parent company, Kuat Drive Yards, they ceased production on the ship and moved on to future projects. However, when KSE became a subsidiary once again, the company reacquired the MorningStar series.
There are three known version of the MorningStar. The A model is meant purely for dogfighting with other starfighters. The B model is also a dogfighting type, like the A model, but possesses more firepower than the A model and can also take more damage. The C model is an assault starfighter for use against capital ships. This variant naturally has the most firepower. It is also more armored than the other types.

The N-1 Starfighter, also known as the Naboo Starfighter, or the Royal N-1 Starfighter, was an attack craft used by the government of Naboo during the late years of the Galactic Republic and early days of the Galactic Empire for defense, patrol, and escort duties. The sleek vessel was manufactured by Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps, the group responsible for manufacturing all of Naboo’s royal starships.
The Royal N-1 starfighter features the best elements of Naboo design, being aesthetically sound and adhering to the Naboo's love for curves and aerodynamic shapes. The citizens of Naboo, dedicated to the defense of their ecologically sensitive world, have given the N-1 a specialized engine system that ensures that fuel burns hotter in order to reduce harmful emissions. An advanced cooling system, which incorporates several heat sinks along the engine finials, prevents overheating. The rear finial can be connected to special outlets to recharge the craft and transmit important data, even coded mission profiles.
The N-1's roles include reconnaissance/patrol missions, escort duty, system defense, and ceremonial functions. While its light, fast, and agile characteristics make it an ideal dogfighter, it is a poor ground-attack craft and it suffers in tight spaces, as these situations rob it of all its advantages.
The pilot is protected by advanced life-support systems and deflector shields, aided by an astromech droid that can help the pilot with repairs and adjustments. The N-1 starfighter is also equipped with an advanced autopilot that can receive navigational information from hangar outlets or from Naboo flight control. In a crisis, the autopilot can bring the craft to the site of an emergency or pilot the ship home safely. The N-1's weapons are twin laser cannons and a full complement of 10 proton torpedoes.

The Porax-38 Starfighter, also known as the P-38, is a tough, hyperdrive-equipped starfighter originally used by the Utapauns as part of the Utapau Skyforce. After the design was acquired and modified by Hoersch-Kessel Drive, it has become available for more widespread use.
The vessel has interstellar range and is fitted with highly effective, long-distance sensor systems that provide early warning of enemy activity. The large P-38 fighters are also capable of independent hyperspace jumps, which enable them to defend their territory at long range. Versatile thrusters, dual-reactor systems, and high-capacity deflector shielding make them a valuable asset to those that wield them.
The starfighters only require one pilot, who has to wear a protective breathing mask. It has enough consumables for 2 days of air, fuel, and food. Its primary armament is two laser cannons. The original fighter's tiny cockpit could only seat one short, stocky Utai, not the tall Pau'ans, but this was later modified by HKD and various groups to allow larger pilots.

The Pursuer-class Enforcement Ship is a heavy patrol craft designed by MandalMotors, originally for use by the Mandalorians policing Separatist-controlled worlds. The craft is well armed for its size, with a twin blaster cannon and a turret-mounted ion cannon, giving the ship formidable firepower. The vessel is more durable than most craft of its size thanks to excellent armor and military-grade shield generators.
The Pursuer-class Enforcement Ship's main advantage is its speed. This extremely nimble craft is used by several local system patrols in their forces, especially ones with more than one system to patrol. Although this craft looks like a flying brick, it was popular with Mandalorian police units since it was tough enough to handle pirates, but had enough cargo space for standard policing duties. This craft has also come into the service of corporations.
The bridge of this craft is located just aft of the twin blaster cannons and just in front of the ion engines. The fin that juts out from the side from this craft is the stabilizer brace which contains the maneuvering thruster cluster.
An early version of the Pursuer-class ship was in use with Mandalorian Neo-Crusader forces during the Mandalorian Wars.
Thousands of years later, the ships became popular with Spar and his Mandalorian Protectors during the Clone Wars, before being made available to police forces across the galaxy when Imperial advisers were placed on the MandalMotors executive board after the rise of the Galactic Empire.

The R-22 Spearhead was one of the last starfigher designs to come out of Republic Fleet Systems before the company was shut down shortly before the Clone Wars. At the time it was considered to be the successor to the venerable Aurek Tactical Strikefighter, but has since come to be seen as an intermediary design between the Aurek and the better known RZ-1 A-wing Interceptor. Due to the closure of Republic Fleet Systems just a few short years after the release of the R-22 Spearhead, the starfigher can be seen in use by various forces around the galaxy where it is often mistaken for the nearly identical RZ-1. The Republic Engineering Corporation has recently begun producing the R-22 again to give customers a cheaper alternative to the A-wing.
The R-22 Spearhead handles just like one would expect: like a scaled down RZ-1. While it still has excellent speed, maneuvering, and defensive capabilities, its successor beats it out on all accounts. It even lacks one of the most distinct features of the modern A-wing, the sophisticated jamming system.
The armament, however, remains the same between both fighters. It doesn’t come with the 360-degree targeting capability of the A-wing Mark II, but since the two starfighters are so similar, it is an easy modification to make. The R-22 does have one advantage over the RZ-1 in that it is more rugged than the other starfighter. Since the R-22 doesn’t try to pack nearly as much equipment into such a small frame, it is able to take a hit better than even the improved A-wing Mark II. This durability is relative to the starfighter design though and the R-22 is still considered fragile when compared to other vessels of its class.
A two-seater variant of the R-22 was produced, known as the R-22/E, or R-22 Expanded. It flies nearly identical, albeit a little slower, to the regular R-22, but allows space in the cockpit for either a gunner or a passenger. A favorite, and effective, modification of the R-22/E is to give the guns the 360-degree targeting system and then let the gunner use the incredible firing arc to blast apart enemies and allow the pilot to focus solely on flying.

The R-41 Starchaser is a multipurpose fighter, often found serving a variety of roles in both military and non-military organizations. This popularity is the result of wide availability, affordability, and easy modification.
It is generally considered outdated, but can still found in the hands of third party organizations. The R-41 has a slight advantage over the comparable Z-95 Headhunter with its ion cannons, and in the hands of expert pilots can pose a considerable threat to newer starfighters.
An upgraded version, the R-42 Starchaser, has recently hit the market.

The RX4 Patrol Ship is a standard patrol vessel of the Trianii Rangers and thus this ship can be found anywhere in Trianii space. Designed for long term patrols, these vessels seldom engage in combat with anything larger than a smuggling freighter. Since Trianii Rangers often work in (small) family units, these patrol ships have more lavish living and recreation quarters than is normal for military vessels.
These ships are more than able to deal with small-time smugglers and pirates operating among the seven Trianii worlds. If the patrol ship cannot handle the task of dealing with pirates and smugglers, a blast from its ion cannon is often enough to disable the opposing ship, thus allowing the RX4 to escape into hyperspace. Nonetheless, these ships are of a durable design, able to take substantial punishment.

The Solo-class Combat Freighter is a medium sized cargo ship manufactured by the Republic Engineering Corporation and SoroSuub, working in conjunction with the Fondor Independent Shipyards under contract from the Metalsmiths Guild of Vandelhelm. Although meant primarily for the New Republic, the freighter has since become available on the open market.
The Solo-class was created to be used in two capacities to benefit an early resource-strapped New Republic: as a freighter or as a light warship. Considering the demands placed on its design team, the Solo performs the dual role of combat vessel and cargo ship remarkably well. Similar in basic size and shape to the transport vessels used by the old Rebel Alliance as troop haulers, the combat freighter is capable of carrying half again as much cargo without difficulty.
The Solo-class combat freighter earns its martial appellation with six ball-mounted dual turbolaser cannons, three to port and three to starboard, that offer a full 360 degrees of coverage. In addition, two missile batteries are mounted fore and aft. The structure of each ship is reinforced with the finest lightweight plasteel made according to ancient secrets handed down for thousands of years on Vandelhelm itself. The hull is then covered in two layers of the same superhard titanium plating that forms the keel, and protects the ship and its valuable contents even when shields fail.
Spiral class Assault Ship

Hull: 50 RU
Armament: One Shot Proton Charge
Crew: 2 Crew
Passengers: 4 (troops)
Cargo Capacity: 2 Metric Tons
Consumables: 1 Week
The Spiral-class Assault Ship is a single-use, small unit boarding craft designed for the rapid insertion of special forces into non-military vessels or space stations. The ship is equipped with no ranged weapons at all, instead relying on stealth technology to keep targets from spotting it until it is too late.
When the Spiral hits the target's particle shielding, the shaped proton charge detonates, disrupting the shields for fraction of a second - long enough for the Spiral to burn through and bury itself into the target's side.
The Spiral's nose cone is composed entirely of sublimating tekonite, which vaporizes upon collision, absorbing nearly 92 percent of the kinetic energy of the impact, insuring that the ship's cabin survives the collision virtually intact. Additional protection to the passengers and crew is provided by inertial-damping grav couches.
Once inside the target, the vac-suited passengers exit and overwhelm the stunned crew of the boarded vessel.

The Star Saber XC-01 Starfighter was one of the first dedicated starfighters of the Galactic Republic, introduced around the time of the Great Sith War. Despite some problems with its design, the vessel served faithfully until the superior Aurek Tactical Strikefighter took over the Star Saber's role.
The Republic Engineering Corporation, using the same line of thinking that saw them reintroduce the Aurek, also did the same for the Star Saber. Realizing, however, that the Star Saber wasn’t that popular of a fighter even in its own time, the company wisely marketed it as a cheap solution for credit-conscious governments and organizations. Indeed, at a paltry 60,000 credits, the Star Saber is one of the most affordable starfighters available; comparable to the ubiquitous TIE Fighter.
The Star Saber design sold by REC is a near-perfect replica of those used by Galactic Republic. Aside from some updates to bring it up to par with modern starfighters, the ship handles and behaves much like its historical brethren, up to and including using hardpoints for warheads instead of a launcher.
Although the Star Saber has a tough time competing against most modern starfighter designs in space, it fares much better when it enters atmosphere. In fact, thanks to its improved performance in an atmosphere and its easily modifiable warhead load, via its hardpoints, the Star Saber has found a successful niche previously unintended by either the Galactic Republic or REC as a tank killer. Despite this success, REC has not raised its price.

One of the galaxy's most intricate craft, this craft was commisioned by Prince Xizor of Black Sun as the stock starfighter of the criminal empire, and as his personal mode of transport. While Virago, Prince Xizor's personal StarViper, undoubtedly had higher performance than the typical StarViper, even the stock model boasted incredible performance. When Prince Xizor commisioned MandalMotors, he asked for a unique craft, and price was not an issue.
The StarViper-class Assault Fighter is capable of moving each segment of all four of its wings independently and initiating timed microthruster boosts. This gives the StarViper incredible manueverability, even matching the nimble TIE Interceptor. It also equals the TIE Interceptor in speed, which is produced by the craft's large engines behind the fuselage. However, the StarViper comes equipped with deflector shields, a strong, reinforced hull, two Proton Torpedo launchers, a hyperdrive unit, and of course, four laser cannons. The unit is pricy, but deadly in the hands of any pilot.
The craft does have several downfalls, though. The large wings that give the ship its incredible manueverability and even protect the pilot when folded behind the fusedlage actually hinders the craft's speed when in atmosphere. The wings also provide a very large target when viewed from both the fore and aft. Finally, the ship's lack of ion cannons means that it will be a space superiority fighter and/or interceptor, but never a fully-fledged bomber. The Supa Fighter was produced after the StarViper in an attempt give Black Sun a more general and durable craft, however its performance is far below that of the StarViper.

Even a dedicated starship aficionado would be hard pressed to identify ships of this class as they looked similar to countless other stock light freighters. They were experimental ship, with only nine ever having been produced, including the Tyaonon Ranger.
Like its name would suggest, from the stathas creature it is named for, the Stathas used a harmless appearance to hide its deadly capabilities. They were able to challenge most starfighters, including the Galactic Empire's TIE/ln starfighters with their quad laser cannons, while being tough enough to take a harsh beating from the weapons found on even the most modern of starfighters.

After several years of research following the T65C-A2 Incom unveiled this new design if X-wing, the AC4, designed to compete in the starfighter arena of the time. Among the features of this vaiant are the larger cargo hold of 150kg and the faster sublight speeds making it of a comparable speed to the A-wing which is clocked at 120 mglt.
Apart from these changes, the fighter has remained basically unchanged.

Introduced 13 years into the life of the New Republic, the T65D-A1 was the result of a long and relatively fruitless research project by Incom. General Wedge Antilles ordered the older X-wings which were in service to be updated to the new specs to standardise performance. The new fighter includes a new computer system that integrates all the functions of the astromech droid so the T65D-A1 doesn't need or have an astromech socket. The new computer system is accessible from the cockpit so that the pilot can have more control over the customisable options available during flight and combat. as with all New Republic X-wings, the fighter has been updated to a faster atmospheric speed of 1300kph.
Upon introduction, would-be terrorists equipped a hidden explosive detonator in each computer that would be fitted to a fighter, activated by a certain set of commands. This grounded the New Republic X-wing fleet for a while and considerably ruined the T65D-A1 refit.

At the time of the introduction of the T65AC4 model X-wing, many of the fighters used in the galactic civil war were converted into this model instead of simply being scrapped. The missile weapons were removed and replaced with advanced sensors and communications which fill all available space. A self destruct sequence was also included, which wipes the computer, destroys the astromech with a shaped charge and a lethal injection kills the pilot. Finally, a powerful baradium charge destroys the X-wing and can cause enough damage to cripple a nearby ship.
There are two pods which extend from behind the fighter which are used to scan the area. If the T65R gets into trouble the pods can be jettisoned leaving a fast and maneuverable ship that could keep out of trouble.

The T-65B X-Wing is without a doubt the signature fighter of the Rebel Alliance. The X-Wing was a top secret project of the Incom Corporation when the Empire began to suspect Rebel sympathies within the company and seized its assets. Key members of the design team escaped with the plans and two prototypes, destroying all other records of the fighter. The X-Wing was in its final design stages when the Imperial Security Bureau began to suspect that the members of the Incom design staff might have sympathies for the Rebel Alliance. A Rebel commando team assisted in the Incom's senior design staff's defection to the Rebels. Fortunately for the Empire, the X-Wing's complex systems and rare alloys have delayed production of significant numbers of this fighter for years.
The X-Wing is a well balanced fighter. Its highly responsive manoeuvrability can make it a dangerous fighter for new pilots. The X-Wing achieves its remarkable manoeuvrability through a combination of three factors. First, the differential thrust from its four fusial ion engines. Second, high-mass electromagnetic gyros in each of the four retro thrusters adding a turning effect that helps to swing the fighter in tight curves. And finally, precise bursts of retro-thrust fire forward through the turbine nozzles to add further control and give the fighter a critical edge in combat. In non combat situations, and especially when flying through an atmosphere where an aerodynamic lifting surface is required, the wing foils are locked together. The astromech droid monitors systems, does all onboard maintenance, both routine and emergency and life-support systems, as well as augmenting the fighter's computer capabilities. It even flies the fighter when circumstances permit. It also assist with astrogation and holds pre-set hyperspace jump co-ordinates. And on top of that it handles in-flight operational adjustments and damage control.
The Primary Sensor Array and the Enemy Sensor Jamming Unit are found in the nose of the X-Wing. Behind that is the Sensor Computer, then the Communications Antenna and then the powerful Flight Control Computer. Behind that is the cockpit. Pilots controls the pitch and roll of the X-Wing through the use of control pedals found at the feet of the pilot. In addition to the fairly straightforward flight control systems, comprehensive cockpit displays allow the pilot to monitor and control energy distribution throughout the fighter's systems during combat. The X-Wing's laser generators operate at the safety limits to generate maximum destructive power. The long cannons of the X-wing develop longer range for its lasers, which can engage an on coming enemy before the enemy can return fire.

The T-65C A2 X-Wing is the most versatile and well balanced of the Rebel fighters. Its combination allows this fighter to be supremely well suited to the multiple roles assigned to it. Its combination of speed, manoeuvrability and firepower, make it an ideal craft for dogfighting TIE Fighters or for fast-paced torpedo runs against larger targets. Unique to the X-Wing is the efficiency of its laser cannons. At full recharge rates the laser cannons can fire continuously. It is not known how the Rebel Alliance has been able to obtain the materials necessary to produce the X-Wing, particularly the rare alloys and advanced control systems necessary to its construction. Many TIE Pilots joke that the X-Wings will fly themselves apart without needing to be shot at, though this is mere battlefield humour. Imperial losses to the X-Wing have mounted as the X-Wing has become more numerous.
X-Wings are known for their durability. The X-Wing's controls are very much like the T-16 Skyhopper which allows Rebel pilots who trained in the T-16 to easily switch over to the hated X-Wing. The cockpit is compact but comfortable. The R2 Unit handles all astrogation because the X-Wing lack a navigation computer, also the droid handles many in-flight operations, such as damage control and flight performance adjustment. In combat the X-Wing activates its S-Foils (Strike Foils) and the wings form an "X" formation, hence the fighter's name. This allows the X-Wing greater manoeuvrability in combat. These S-Foils are closed during normal flight, and in an atmosphere this allows the X-Wing to fly faster while still pulling off advanced aerobatics such as rolls. The X-Wing does excel in atmospheric situations, where planetary extremes have little or no effect on this fighter. The X-Wing also sports an efficient hyperdrive and shield generator. This fighter also has a cargo compartment which is accessed by a hatch on the fuselage's lower-aft surface. The X-Wing has exceeded the expectations of the designers of this fighter.

1 Medium Laser Cannon, 2 Light Laser Cannons, 3 Buzz Droid Discord Missile Launchers (6-18)
The Tri-Fighter, also known as the Tri-Droid Fighter, was a deadly Confederacy droid starfighter designed as a fast and agile space-superiority starfighter, built to excel in dogfighting. It was used mostly towards the end of the Clone Wars.
The droid Tri-Fighter was designed by the Colicoid Creation Nest — makers of the deadly droideka — and manufactured by Colla Designs and Phlac-Arphocc Automata Industries. The droid's ridged, three-armed design was based on the skull features of a fearsome predator native to the planet Colla IV. The bracing arms surrounded the droid's advanced artificial brain, housed in a rotating, gyroscopic core. The droid Tri-Fighter had three independent thrusters providing it with agility and a powerful reactor and control/comms transceiver that provided unusual range for a fighter drone.
It was armed with one medium laser cannon protruding from the central ball, and a light laser cannon for each of the three arms. Two to six missiles of variable payloads were housed within each arm. The nose-like cannon made the droid tri-fighter similar in appearance to the DSD1 dwarf spider droid also used by the Confederacy.
The droid tri-fighter was capable of deploying buzz droids via discord missiles, and quickly became the rival to the ARC-170 starfighter and the V-wing starfighter. Although it could not outrun the Eta-2 interceptors favored by the Jedi, it was bulkier and more heavily armed, making it a challenge for even the best living starpilots to overcome.
The droid Tri-Fighter was introduced into the Confederate Navy relatively late in the conflict. One of its first recorded uses was on Praesitlyn, where they were matched against the T-19 starfighters of the Praesitlyn Defense Force. Tri-Fighters were also deployed at Boz Pity, Saleucami, and Belderone.
Many Tri-Fighters fought during the Second Battle of Coruscant, where they decimated ARC-170 squadrons. Following the execution of the Separatist Council by Darth Sidious's new apprentice, Darth Vader, these units were largely deactivated.

More of a jury rig than an effective spin off of the orginal model such as the T-65 variations. The E-Wing B is the same as the orginal E-Wing with the exception of different laser cannons. These laser cannons effectively increased the firepower of the E-Wing but at the cost of putting the pilot at risk.
According to the techs who designed this variation, the increased power can either burn out the weapon or, in extreme circumstances, the laser cannons can explode destroying the Starfighter.
Currently there have been no mishaps but technicians are hoping to solve the flaw before any pilots pay the price with their lives.

The V-19 Starfighter, casually referred to as the Clone Fighter, was the primary short range assault starfighter used by the Galactic Republic during the conflict against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Clone Fighter follows the design philosophy of the Republic military perfectly: powerful and just like all the others of its kind. Each starfighter is equipped with a pair of blaster cannons and a pair of concussion missile tubes giving it considerable firepower for a starfighter of its size. The Clone Fighter incorporates a folding and swiveling wing array, allowing it to take off and land vertically while maintaining exceptional maneuverability in space. Though the Clone Fighter was eventually replaced by the cheaper and more fragile TIE Fighter, it was still produced in large numbers and carried aboard almost all Acclamator-class capital ships.

Whitecloak Fighters are heavily modified versions of the CloakShape Fighter, both produced by Kuat Systems Engineering. To make the CloakShape more practical for the Jedi (allowing a master and an apprentice to travel together) the designers modified the ship by expanding the cockpit to accommodate two passengers in cramped conditions. These fighters became famous for their unique color scheme and were dubbed "Whitecloak" because of the heavy prominence of white (to symbolize purity) in the design.
While very popular at first during the Galactic Republic, the Jedi would turn towards more popular fighters such as the Delta-7. However, the Whitecloak remains a robust alternative, especially considering that fighters like the Delta-7 can only seat one person.

This early model of transport from Corellian Engineering Corporation varies greatly in design from the general concept of the later ships in the YT series of transports. Slender and long, this ship looks like a loaf of bread sliced lengthwise along each side; essentially, a long, slender center section with two engine nacelles on either side providing thrust. The ship saw a good amount of use during the days of the Old Republic, as like most CEC designs it was easily modified. Almost nothing in the ship's design, save for a few core systems, was unalterable, and smugglers, pirates, merchants, and other spacefaring entrepeneurs took advantage of this and turned their ships into a personalized transport that suited their needs perfectly.

Some features of the YT-1210 would be the basis of the YT-1300 light freighter. The ship had the familiar saucer-shaped hull of the YT-1300, but lacked the forward cargo loading mandibles that gave that ship its familiar outline. It also included two sensors protruding from the bow, which could be big, tempting targets for anyone attacking the YT-1210.
The YT-1210 was 35 meters in length, and the standard crew consisted of a pilot and a gunner. The stock YT-1210 could carry up to 100 metric tons of cargo, and was armed with a single laser cannon. The ship had a small cabin for the captain, and it came equipped with a small refresher station. Of course, individual YT-1210 could and were modified by their owners.
YT-1210 was the main production light freighter from Corellian Engineering Corporation, until the YT-1300 arrived. Unfortunately, once sales of the YT-1300 took off at some point before 33 BBY, the highly capable YT-1210 freighter had a shortened production run. The YT-1210 was not a poor design, but it was not on par with the speed of YT-1300 and it lacked some of the amenities that the YT-1300 had. Still, the YT-1210, like its more popular successor, could be found throughout the galaxy.

The YT-1930 was a moderately successful YT series light freighter that was released by the Corellian Engineering Corporation shortly before the Battle of Yavin.
The design of the YT-1930 was a variant on the successful YT-1300 light freighter, but placed the cockpit along the centerline of the ship, and added two wedge-shaped cargo areas at the rear to double the cargo capacity of its predecessor. Most came with a single laser cannon turret. Though some considered it to be the pinnacle of the YT series, the YT-1930 never gained the following the older freighter design had.

The YU-410 was a light freighter produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. At 44 meters long, the YU-410 was relatively large for a light freighter, and could carry a fairly impressive 250 metric tons of cargo. It was also well armed, with four double laser cannon turrets, mounted on the upper and lower hull and at the front corners of its two cargo bays. However, these advantages came at a price, as the YU-410 was relatively slow and had very poor maneuverability.

Consumables: 3 Months
The last of the YV-series transports produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. At 22 meters in length, the YV-929 was a small ship that was marketed as an "armed freighter," designed to give small shippers and merchants a fighting chance to survive pirate raids and ambushes.
Built on the same keel as the original YV-100, the fuselage of the YV-929 was enhanced with a pair of external bays that increased its cargo capacity. A domed "parlor" was added below the cockpit, in an effort to make the ship appeal to a more civilian audience.
Unfortunately, all of these structural modifications left the YV-929 with little integrity. Many of these ships started popping their seams as soon as the shields were breached, limiting the ship's ability to survive a firefight. The YV-929 was armed with a pair of double turbolaser cannons, one dual ion cannon, two triple blasters, and eight concussion missile launchers.
The basic crew included a pilot and three gunners, and could carry up to six passengers and 150 metric tons of cargo.

The Corellian Engineering Corporation's YZ-900 was a capital ship-sized cargo vessel that appeared to be more of a paramilitary assault craft. Measuring 54.3 meters in length, the YZ-900 was armed with a pair of heavy twin laser cannons, two double laser cannons, and a pair of concussion missile launchers that fired fore and aft. The YZ-900 required a crew of eight to operate, including gunners, and could carry up to fourteen passengers and 500 metric tons of cargo.

Consumables: 1 Day
The Z-95 Headhunter is a starfighter designed jointly by the Incom and Subpro Corporations years before the Invasion of Naboo. Its resilience and longevity means that it has remained a staple of private and low-priority government starfighter forces long after its introduction. The Z-95 was named after the Coromon headhunter, a predator native to the Coromon Islands on Fresia, the planet where Incom is headquartered.
The Z-95 is smaller in size than its successors: the Incom/Subpro ARC-170, designed during the Clone Wars; and the Incom T-65 X-wing, designed shortly before the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War.
While the Z-95 still enjoys considerable use in the years following the establishment of the New Republic it has been clearly outclassed by fighters developed in the decades since its original release. When compared to the T-65, it is slower, less maneuverable, has lighter armor and shielding, and is not as heavily armed.
Still, the Z-95 is fairly inexpensive and reliable, making it a favorite amongst smugglers, Outer Rim organizations, local system defense forces, and bright-eyed youngsters with dreams of becoming fighter jockeys. Also, despite the later T-65 being more maneuverable, the Z-95 is known to be able to perform a tighter turn.
Owing to its longevity, it is not surprising that many variants of the Z-95 have come into existence due to the efforts of starship mechanics and hotrod pilots throughout the galaxy. Common variations include a split-wing version that looks similar to an X-wing, a courier version that can accommodate a single passenger, and variants with various alternative weapons loadouts.
Tartan Class Patrol Cruiser

Hull: 465 RU
Weapons:
20 Laser Cannons
Crew: 1,860 Crew
Passengers: 1,000 (troops)
Cargo Capacity: 5,600 Metric Tons
The Tartan-class Patrol Cruiser is an Imperial anti-starfighter ship, developed towards the start of the New Order. Armed with twenty laser cannons, the Tartan is designed for use against starfighters, bombers, and pirate vessels. Most notably, powerful sensor and computer systems enable their guns to engage rapidly with swarms of small, swift targets, although these systems come at a hefty price. In addition, powerful engines give these ships impressive speed and maneuverability for their size to engage directly with starfighters. The systems that direct power from the generators to systems throughout the hull are very versatile and sophisticated, being able to redirect energy from the deflector shields to give more firepower to the weapons systems at a rapid pace.
The Tartan-class vessels can be compared with the later and somewhat better-known Kuat Drive Yards Lancer-class Frigate, which have an almost identical armament and a similar mission profile, and also with the Rendili StarDrive Neutron Star-class Bulk Cruiser, a patrol cruiser with a very similar size and armament; but whereas the Lancer-class ships are basically defensive platforms designed to do no more than keep pace with larger capital ships, and the bulk cruiser is a cheap design known for its slow speeds, the Tartan-class design is fast and agile, able to skirmish directly with enemy starfighters — displaying the same pace and agility as the same manufacturer's earlier Carrack-class Cruisers.
