Warfare: What is this sheild drain Technology you speak of? I would be intrested in learning how it works and possibly learning how to use it. I have the ability to use technology in a wide variety of methods. Perhaps if I were to learn more of this sheild drain techneque I could think of a way to use it to many tactical advanteges in numerous situations, to our advantage.

Piett: Greetings, we were just trying different battle plans. The running idea would be to find the enemy first, so Willing's idea to send a cloaked Defiant class out will be our first action. Once we find them, we should implement my plan of dispatching hunter-killer groups to take out probes and whatnot, try to lure them in.

OOC: I've already got about five guys using it, when the original plan was to have the Saving Grace drain it and divert power into its forward gun. That way I could blast them before they can raise their ships' shields.

Note to other forces with tech: It can be against individual ship shields as well.

Willing: I have sent a Defiant Class vessel, And We have located an very large fleet of almost 400 WarShips about 120 light years from the Allied Fleet. It could not get any scans of the ships without being detected however we think this could be part of the Shivan fleet.
Now please let me know if this would work. Each StarShip's deflector can be modified to fire a SubSpace Pulse over a long Distance, Would that disrupt the SS sheilds for a short time? Because we are ready to modifiy all of our ships at once. I need answers people.
This is a warning and I suggest you follow it. If a TITAN class ship is going to breech and we are pretty sure it won't GET AWAY once the QC walls drop the will be a massive explsion and tear in space.
Now the enemy fleet appears to be about 200 Capitol ships and 200 Frigets but I've dected in upwards of 800 smaller contacts.
I've put the ECF Fleet on Red Alert.

A great blue hold in space appeared, as the reinforcements came.

The DOOMSTORM proceeded towards it's destination, followed by the rest of the fleet, shooting blue scanning beams in every direction.

He exited the door, and was escorted by his bodyguards back to the Wheir. After given permission to takeoff, they docked back into the Dredock.

The Federal Fleet consists of 150 vessels, and one of these is a new Frigate designed specifically to combat Shivan vessels. It is armed with transphasic torpedoes, graviton beams, a gravitational pulse emitter, four F-type PPCs, and multiple Particle Beam arrays...

There is also one Ancestral Class Battlecarrier (or it may just be a regular carrier, I didn't update the word file when I changed it in some previous post...) which holds 200 fighters. Its sole purpose is to act as a base for a fighter contingent. ECF, if a few Akiras could be detatched to guard it, we would greatly appreciate it.

I think I can modify this technology to where it is useable with firepower. The bonus of this is, is when Sheilds are punched through, i can immediatly start attacking ships. Additionaly when I hit ships with this technology I can drain their energy supplies making it harder for them to win. :D the downside is, is that energy is lost, It goes nowhere. :(

The Shivan warmaster Cron'is gazed out at the ending battle before him. The seige of the Gallinpoton system had just ended and the threat of the robot shivans was practically over.

Milenia ago the real shivans had created robot versions of themselves to defend them(real shivans). And they had done their job very well, until their Artificial Intelligence developed into Actual Intelligence the hive mind had decided that they shoudn't take orders from these lesse beings and began attacking them. Fortunately not all defense had been turned over to the robots and the real shivans began to mount a defence. Unfourtanatley it wasn't good enough and they began to lose systems one by one. The death count was over a trillion. Eventually the robots decided they could send a large force to another galaxy and destroy the human race. A few years after the fleet had left the shivans unveiled a weapon they had been working on for years, but it was deployed a little sooner than planned, when an attack by the robots came and destroyed the planet and all the reserch on the weapon. Fourtanatley though it was operational and they began to defeat the robots, before the end of the war however the weapon was destroyed, but it mattered little as enough damage had been done to the robots that they were easily defeated.

The problem of what to do with the robots in the other realm remained though, most were sure that the human race had been obliterated. But if they hadn't o even if they had the shivans had to stop their creations from makeing anymore races extinct. So it was decided that a large fleet would be sent to hunt down the remaining robots and destroy them, and if the human race still existed to help them rebuild. Cron'is had been picked to lead the force and stared at the gate he would be going through, into an unknown area full of enemies he accepted the challenge and welcomed it.

IC: Piett: Good question, Admiral Warfare. I say that each fleet deploy groups of two each with at least five good-sized ships. Despite the name, they'll probably be used more for recon as opposed to actual fighting. The only reason for good-sized ships is in case they DO find anything and need to hold together long enough to get out.
As for the contact of a small ship concentration, I'll send 100 Strike Cruisers and one Ravan to check it out. Shouldn't be much of an issue.

OOC: If the Shivan guy left, we'll need someone to fish up the stats on his fleet from page 1 and take over.

As to the ships the only small ships I have are the Probes and the Bioships and the Bioships are the most powerful ships I posses. The Queens ship is the largest ship of all. When deploying my forces only one of my ships should be deployed with the group due to their size. All ships have the same powers save for the probes and the Bioships. the Probes are the least powerful in the Collective and the Bioships should remain together because only together can they destroy a large planet.

OOC: Uh, well, you see, the CoreWorlds capital planet was destroyed when the Shivans made the sun go nova. We're mostly setting up battle plans and forming lines in and around the ruins.

Warfare: I just have one request, I have a lot of them to spare so please let put one Drone on each ship. I promise they won't go snopping about in fact they will remain on the bridge, or the equivelent there of. The reason for this is that we have a Hive mind. What one Drone knows, the entire Collective knows. If one ship finds something important, I can have the drones pass it on to all the other ships. This way, their will be no interception of communications, and it will be a lot faster too. Besides, What if one of your ships gets the communications grid knocked offline or it gets destroyed entirely, Everyone will know EXACTLY what happened. Sound fair?

We can install one Capital Class Device on the Supership, and four Escort Class devices on the outer hull in order to allow the Folding of the entire fleet. We can install the Devices, Powersources, and make modifications to your ship for 200 billion.

We will station a small crew on the vessel to maintain the devices, as long as you do not reproduce this technology without our consent. The devices have a maximum range of 3,000 lightyears, so longer distances will require multiple jumps.

As advances are discovered, we will upgrade your existing devices. When you are finished upgrading the fleet, we would be happy to install devices on your other ships.

The work will be done in Two Hours. We will have every available resource working on this.

Neopol,Yarnaut, and most of the rest of the crew deatomized, and reatomized in the RS vessel. All of a sudden, the crew went wild! They started headbanging, and every other type of dance. Neopol went over to the liquor table, where a few youths were chugging beer from the same exact one that Neopol wanted. He tapped the first guy, who was staring at his friend ominously. He turned and faced the Captain.

" Your hogging MY BEER!" Yelled Neopol.

The youth wobbled in place for a minute, and then yelled back, " BITE ME!"

The Captain quickly grabbed his arm, twisted it behind his back, tossed him over himself, and knocked him out with one quick punch. He looked at the rest of the youths, who were watching with weary eyes. The captain juked towards them, and they ran deep into the people dancing.

"MY BEER!" Yelled Neopol, as he started to chug it.

Warfare disappeared in a green teleport light. A few seconds later a Drone appeared in his place.

Admiral Dredhamer sat in a corner, sipping a beer while timeing how fast he could disasemble his plasma pistol one handed. His best time was 8.11 seconds. He looked at the others as they were partying...

Admiral Piett, the commander of The Ruthless Slaughter Space Fleet, stood at about six foot three and weighed 210 pounds. He had greying haired, as he was 55 and under much stress. His most striking feature was his piercing gray eyes.

Piett was sitting across the room from Dredhamer seeing how many shots of scotch it would take to make his vision blur. Not having much success, as all RS citizens have a mysterious tolerance to most alchohols, he walked over to the Admiral who was busy taking apart his pistol with one hand.

Admiral Piett, the commander of The Ruthless Slaughter Space Fleet, stood at about six foot three and weighed 210 pounds. He had greying haired, as he was 55 and under much stress. His most striking feature was his piercing gray eyes.

Piett was sitting across the room from Dredhamer seeing how many shots of scotch it would take to make his vision blur. Not having much success, as all RS citizens have a mysterious tolerance to most alchohols, he walked over to the Admiral who was busy taking apart his pistol with one hand.

And those turbo lifts! We didn't have none o' them, we had to walk up 300 flights of stairs just to get to the brige..." as he continued to ramble on about what it was like in 'his day', Piett quietly slipped away to some other group. Afterwords, Dredhamer went back to playing with his pistol.

If this battle is anything like the Battle for Normandeicht, the Allied Fleet has no chance. If a Shiva appears, we would be best to do as much damage and then cut our losses and run.

Our people do not want another Normandeicht.

Our Ancestral Class Battlecarrier will need protection while the rest of our fleet is on the front lines. It will perform full deck launches immediately at any sign of Shivans.

The rest of our fleet will act as a vanguard for the Allied fleet, being the first to draw fire from Shivan Vessels.

Master Masaki was curious as to what happened at the Battle for Normandeicht, and asked a GZ officer about it.

The Bridge of the Saving Grace

Piett: All ships, yellow alert.

A klaxon sounded as the lighting took on a yelow tinge and the fleet dispatched it's hunter-killer groups and began long range scans.

OOC: If the Shivans really have left, then could someone pull out their fleet stats from the first page and take over? This thread is atarting get old, so we might as well destroy them and get it over with.

If a Shiva appears, it isn't the end of the universe...

A Federal Battlegroup returning from the failed defense of UA's homeworld inadvertantly led a Shivan probe to Normandeicht. The small battlegroup returned to the Normandeicht shipyards for repairs.

The Reagan was getting its finishing touches above Atheos Prime, and the entire Federation suspected nothing.

A Shivan fleet appeared out of nowhere, outside the Normandeicht System. There was only enough time to activate the fleet stationed there and bring the weapons platforms on-line. The planetary shields and defenses were brough on-line, and the battle began.

One by one nations came to our aid, USF, AON, ESUS... Thousands of Allied Ships fought against the Shivan fleet. Somewhere along the way the Reagan and Federal Reinforcements arrived.

We began to kick but. However, a Shiva appeared. It nearly wiped out the entire Allied Fleet.

The planet was invaded, and Federal and Allied troops put up a great fight. Until Shivan Nanites ate the entire world. Of the 15 Million Federal personnel on Normandeicht, 7 million were evacuated in time. Coupled with the casualties of the rest of the Federal and Allied forces, the entire death toll was near 10-12 million, maybe higher.

He finished his drink and headed off to his fleet. The Star Destroyers will take out the smaller Shivan ships (up to the 1 mile ones), while the rest of the Allied fleet attacks the big ones.

Shields went up in full power on all liberatorian vessels( my fleet of 250ships are still here, incase you forgot) and weapons were on standby. All personel were at their posts, and weren't allowed to leave without someone else taking their spot during their leave of abesence.

As the groups arrived and the course was plotted, a wave of relief swept over the fleet. As the flagship waited to go last as was customary, Piett had one thought on his mind: Well this was fun. Wonder when we can get together and drive off a fleet and then party the rest of the time again.

At that moment the warp bubble surrounded the Saving Grace and she raced toward home at faster than light speed.

Unfortunately for the allies, the Shivans have been biding their time, and has analyzed the phyric victory they caused to the human capital world. The Hive mind has decided that a large fleet (the one above) is to be sent to destroy and/or analyze further the strength of the human ships. The Shivan race sends the fleet to an unsuspecting colony, called Atlantis, in order to lure the human fleets to their death.
Atlantis happens to be a vacation resort for thousands, maybe millions of tourists every year, as it's warm climate, numerous islands with sandy beaches, and Disney-esque atmosphere appeals to families of all ages. As such, it is protected by a large number of Star Destroyers, including the SSD Emperor.
When the Shivan fleet tore a hole in subspace and entered the system, their FTLi was turned on, to prevent any ships from leaving. Just before all communications were jammed, a Mayday was sent on all channels, even as the Shivans sent three terrifying words, that the tourists will learn before they die.
"Humanity is doomed."
The battle for Atlantis has begun when the first turbolasers and beam cannons started crisscrossing the void of space...

SHIVAN SIGNATURES DETECTED AT POINT 13. ALL VESSELS MOVE CONVERGE ON POINT. SEND SIGNALS TO ALLIES.

The BORG vessals sent a message to all of the allies as they were getting ready to leave, some were caught in midflight.

SHIVANS DETECTED. TRANSMITTING COORDINATES. ALL ALLIES MERGE ON COORDINATES. YOU WILL COMPLY.

After the message was sent, the BORG vessals and their BIOships left for the colony of Atlantis in a Transwarp. however at the edge of the FTLi feild they were suddenly cut off from Transwarp. a quick message was sent out to the Allies

FASTER THAN LIGHT INHIBITING FEILD DETECTED. ALL ALLIES ARE TO PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

After the message was sent the BORG moved in and soon found the shivans preparing to attack the coloney. They beamed the following message

"Atlantis? Oh no." Master Masaki said, as he recieved the distrss call. "Quickly, we must get over there before more people die!"
"Yes, Master Jedi!" The Admiral in charge of the battlefleet ordered all ships to hyperspace at flank speed for the colony. Another battlefleet, this one of the SB Ragnorak was sent by the Emperor, in order to deal with the larger Shivan ships, like the Thor.

At Atlantis, the battle continues to rage, but the defending fleet was outnumbered 20 to 1 or so. Many smaller ships were obliterated but some of the larger Shivan capital ships managed to start trading fire with the planetary turbolasers, dishing out much damage to each other. The defense satellites were already destroyed, but not before taking a few fighters with them.
If reinforcements do not come quickly, Atlantis would be lost, and the way clear to attack the other colony worlds, and the planet of Juria.

Admiral Dredhamer recieved word of the attack on Atlantis, and was jubilant.

"At last, back to war! Come brothers! Kill all who oppose us!"

The roar of the crew could be heard throughout the ship, Marines began donning their MJOLNIR armor, and taking plasma rifles and BFGs off the weapon racks. The fleet entered warp, and headed for battle.

When the Borg found the Shivans the BORG did a full systems scan and found a way to adapt to Shivan weaponry, wether it worked or not, was to be discovered, Cube 2 aimed its phasers, altered them to match Shivan sheild signatures to bypass them and fired at the largest Vessal.

Thor was no more than annoyed at the foolish cube-shaped ship that dared to attack, and aimed 10 of its beam cannons and its heavy lasers at the tiny cube. Each cannon sent a red ray of ship-slicing energy at the Borg cube, while bashing it with laser energy to aid the beams.

The Sobeks, Mentus, and Atens concentrated their firepower on the Core ships, while the other ships awaited the enemy, like a huge pack of sharks awaiting their prey.
The ships were almost all gone now, and many bodies floated in space, cold and dead. Only the Emperor and 5 damaged ISDs remain, and the SSD have the youngest crew members in the nation, some of them only 12 standard years old. The young boys who survive will grow up knowing the true face of war, and they have already become men in the eyes of the Admiral and older officers. They continue to fight, even if all hope has been lost, for they know that they must take the enemy with them, to Hell if necessary.

The cube was completly destroyied. The Collective allowed it to de so. However the Collective also paid attention to the weapons and adapted the other all the other BORG vessels to accomidate the weapons. next up to attack were the other 2 Cubes who were able to adapt to the Shivan sheilding, making it as though it was nonexistent, and fired Quantom Torepedos at the Giant ship. mean while a Probe moved twards the ship and teleported all 20,000 drones onboard on to the Giant ship and began assimilation of the ship and its crew.

Saider jumped out of his seat. "Computer, emergency transport...NOW! Ops, red alert, tactical- full scan, all hands battlestations!" Saider yelled in one breath.

"Shields 100%, Weapons 100%, Scanners 100%. All green, sir. Fleet is FMC." Reported the operations officer.

"Comm, keep this track playing on one Vi2oian frequency...I like drowning pool."

The whole Vi2o fleet spun almost about to face enemy fleet. A blue oval snapped into existance around all of the ships, some denser then others. The fleet of 350 was ready for battle.

"Notify the allied on a secure channel that we will take care of the fighters, then work on draining the shields of the capital ships. Notify to warhaven that he can send his drone anytime around...now. Hold a defencive position ahead of the enemy fleet."

IC: Aboard the Genieva X space station/base, Neopol was surveying the 3 new planet busters that were just commissioned. They also were equipped with the Gravitational Based weapons. Just then, in the control room, the message receptor lit up.

" DISTRESS CALL FROM THE BORG. IT SEEMS THE SHIVANS DIDN'T CHICKEN OUT AS WE SUSPECTED,SIR!" said an officer.

"DAM!Where did it come from?" Said captain Hunt.

"Section 3629194omega.,sir."

"Power up ALL fleets. Including our new planet busters."

Neopol was rushed onto his new ship, GREYDOOM-1. The fleet did it's mandatory checks, opened a warp gate, and left the station/base in a flash of blue light.

Warfare: It is good that my allies have arrived. Vi2o one drone shall appear on the bridge of each ship in an out of the way corner. they will stay there unless otherwise directed by either you or me. *Teleports*

The Borg on the ships were immediately set upon by the Shivans, who used not only their portable beam cannons, but also their hull-crushing claws (Borg can't adapt to kinetic damage). Not only that, the Shivan nanites activated, and started eating away at all the drones and Borg nanites that dared attack.
Thor changed tactics, using her missiles to attack the Borg cubes, while two Gologthas aided their mother ship by firing at the Borg from all sides. Even the Borg, with their vaunted adaptation, cannot stand against the combined firepower of all the ships' missiles and beam cannons.

Master Masaki's fleet then jumped into the system, and began chewing up the Shivan forces. When the Ragnorak arrived, it immediately shot it's superlaser, obliterating a Tanen and two Cobras from the outset. The rest of the Shivan fleet set upon attacking the incoming allied forces, all beam cannons and many missiles firing at them. What began as a peaceful toruist trap became a deathtrap for all who comes here, for it's not just a battle, it's a slaughter.

In the meantime, a second fleet was preparing to send reinforcements to the Shivan forces. This one contains the Superdreadnought Lucifer, the most powerful and dangerous ship ever built to date. It makes the Sovereign battleships look like simple corvettes, and it's main beam cannon is capable of slicing deep into the crust of a planet, allowing lava to burst forth; or it could cut a Super Star Destroyer in half, shields and all. Once the signal was given, the second Shivan fleet ripped a hole into subspace, and it's ETA is expected to be 30 minutes from now. (OOC: My next two posts)

OOC: we can't win this battle unless someone else steps in. And until my fleet upgrades I won;t last long. and I never left so lets leave it at that!

Ops:Shivan ships are pouring in like crazy! And I am reading one massive power source comming from an unkown ship! A ship this large cannot evade it's weapons.
HOWEVER our smaller ships will have no problems evading it. I recoment folding out and leave the Defiant and TITAN wings, about 100 ships here to help engage the fighters and frigates.
Willing: make it happen, FOLD THE AKRIA AND SOVGREIN WINGS OUT ALONG WITH THE FLAGSHIP, TITAN and Defitant wings hang back and help out the GZ.

The TITAN and Defiant wings rush to help defend the larger UZ ships from the fighters and frigates so they can fire more at the capital ships.

Hyperion Fleet came to full stop, turned, and raced back to the system almost pushing the engines past tolerance limits.

At last we can test our shield drain Piett thought malevolently...

IC: Neopol was looking around at the massive bridge of the GREYDOOM-1( nothing different from my other 2 greydooms, i just label them). He wondered if these three ships and every other ship with them would be enough to overpower the evil shivan menace.

"Sir, EST:2minutes." said an officer at the location's panel.

"Ok, Initiate strategy 2protocol 5 alpha."Said Neopol with some jump in his voice.

"Strategy 2 protocol 5 alpha initiated." Came the reply.

All Ship's shields powered up to maximum, weapons were ready to let loose, and the lights on every ship dimmed out and were replaced by red lights and battle ready sirens screeching into the depths of the ship's decks.


" Ready the gravitational weapons." Said Neopol.

" Yes,sir! Weapons ready."

Neopol sat there for a moment. Then without warning, he shouted.

" PULL OUT OF WARP, FIRE AT WILL!!!"

all 500 ships( not including fighters) exited warp and laid eyes upon the destructive sight. They took it all in in a flash. All ships fired their gravity based weapons first, to knock out shields, followed by a barrage of ion beams, quantom torpedo's lasers, and other weapons.

Tact: Admiral, coming out of warp.

Piett: Excellent!

His tone changed, however, and his face paled when he saw the staggering amount of Shivan ships. Being a professional, he shook it off rather quickly, however, so as not to cause the crew any alarm.

Piett: Attention Hyperion Fleet, create a defensive perimeter around the Saving Grace! Power up the drain!

The emerald green beam shot into the Shivan fleetwide shield and began taking energy from it and charging the forward gun.

OOC:Hyperion Fleet, composed of 500 Strike Cruisers, 2 Ravan Capital hips, and the flagship, the Saving Grace, possibly one the most powerful devices ever to come from RS. It was half the size of the Deathstar, had 500 heavy automatic turbolaser ports, and one massive forward gun that emitted a subspace-ionic pulse right into the heart of enemy fleets and detonating, causing massive damage. Then there was the shield drain, a modification to the tractor beam specifically meant for the Shivans. It would drain their fleetwide shield and divert the sapped energy into the gun, which would be charged about ten seconds before the shields collapsed.

OOC: To purchase my mines, either TG me or post in my storefront. I am, however, giving any Coreworld ally 1000 free Graviton mines to aide in this conflict.

[As ordered, my Lord!] The Thor moved for the Saving Grace and brought all weapons to bear on the huge ship. The Gologthas also brought their weapons on the Grace, even as damage from turbolasers and gravitic weapons, among other weaponry, increased due to the shields weakening.

The Emperor was saved from destruction and the young crew cheered the allied fleet on. But it was not over yet.
As the humans continued to fight, a HUGE rip in the space-time continuum opened up, causing atmosphere from the planet of Atlantis to be pulled in, killing a few hundred more tourists.
Out of the rip, came the Lucifer itself, plus a fresh fleet of:

The main beam cannon powered up, and a thick, dark-red beam stabbed across the sky and sliced through two Star Destroyers like they were not even there. It continued to slice, sweeping through the Allied Fleets. The humans have never before seen such a powerful weapon, and they never will again.
The battle has just become worse, much worse.

" SIR, MULTIPLE SHIPS EXITING WARP. ONE HUGE POWER READING!"

"DAM" said Neopol.

The beam cannon sent 2 handfuls of liberatorian ships down in flames. Luckily, the 3 GREYDOOM'S( my planet destroyers) were still there. The beam missed them entirely, but sent a few ships spiraling into it's massive shields.
Things weren't looking good.

The fighters powered up, and exited the different ship's bays. They rendezoued in mid space, and came down upon the new threat shooting gravitation weapons to knock out the shields, and letting loose hell. A total of 22,000 fighters.

There was a massive ripple effect that rocked the fleet and seemingly the space around it as the gun amassed a neon ball of energy in front of it. When it became a quarter of the ship's size, it unleashed itself into the heart of the fleet, seemed to fizzle out, and then there was an eruption that engulfed Thor's fleet and caused every other ship there to shake violently. The blast was deafening even in space and most veiwscreens overloaded trying to filter the brightness.

OOC: Thanks. I figured now was as good a time as any to finally see what the gun could really do. The flagship itself is only a few weeks old, and some of the systems are still untested. Rather than hold tests of my own, I believe live combat to be the best test of all.

Ops: SHIT! Shields almost gone, nearly down to the armor.

Piett: I believe our show is over. 250 Strike Cruisers and one Ravan, take what's left of the Thor. The rest, follow my lead and take on the other flagship.

Now the fleet split. The Strike Cruiser, RS's main ship of choice, fired quantum torpedoes in three round bursts. (kind of like autoloaders for modern day tanks, only pinpoint accurate) while the Ravans deployed fighter compliments of 15 and unleashing turbolaser and ion cannon bursts at both flagships. The Saving Grace let loose all turbolasers and 50 medium-sized fighters upon the Lucifer.

This should redirect his fire Piett thought as the ships inertial dampeners began to flicker along with warp drive.

Tact: Sir, we can't take much more, this better work.

Piett: If it doesn't, take us out of here with whatever we have left, be it manuevering thrusters.

Now Hyperion was fighting with all it's power focused on the two flagships. If anyone was to get credit for bringing down those ships, it would be Admiral Piett.

Another beam from the huge ship,known as the Lucifer, cam rocketing towards the Saving Grace. Aboard the GREYDOOM-3. Captain Highbridge had little time to think.

"FIRE THE HEAVY IONIZED PARTICLE CANNON STRAIGHT AT THE LUCIFER'S BEAM! AND MOVE US INFRONT OF THE SAVING GRACE!"

"Aye,sir!"

By now, the GREYDOOM'S Dampener shield had collected more than enough energy to give an extra boost to the weapon. The GREYDOOM moved infront of the Saving Grace, turned, and fired at the beam. Thunder seemingly rolled through space as a humongous firey blue beam erupted from the ship. The brightness could have been mistaken for a sun. It collided with the beam.

IC: Sir, a Liberator ship is moving between us and the Lucifer.

IC Secret: 20 RS-112 Minelayers dropped out of warp on the far side of the system and began laying cloaked self-replicating mines around the sun to repel any Shivan beam weapons. Along with it came an escort of 20 Strike Cruisers to oversee and protect the operation.

OOC: that beam should have been enough to stop the LUcifer's beam. Because that was my planet killing weapon. It can cut through a planet. plust the extra juice from the dampener shields.

The beam cannon weas being pushed back by the HEAVY IONIZED PARTICLE CANNON (echo), but Admiral Bosk was acting quickly.
Divert all power from the subspace engines and regular weapons! It should be enough to push back that particle cannon.
True to his word, the beam cannon actually increased in power, and pushed back the HEAVY IONIZED PARTICLE CANNON (echo) beam, straight into the enemy ship who dared to fire at him.

The Thor was at the breakup point, but the lord admiral did not care. He ordered his ship to ram the Saving Grace at all costs, and sent an extremely strong telepathic message to the humans aboard that ship:
HUMANITY IS DOOMED.

The words "HUMANITY IS DOOMED" echoed on the bridge, followed by the laughter and swearing of the Vi2oian fleet.

"Thats it. Divert all available power to main phaser banks and forward shields on all ships." Saider was standing again.

"Aye, sir. Phasers at 175%, Shields at 175%, MLS at 50%." He said as the lights dimmed around him, and was diverted to the battle systems.

"Give them hell. Forward, full impulse, phasers and torpedos loose...NOW!"

Hundreds, probily thousands of red shreaks, white balls and random flashes filled the battle field as the Vi2oian fleet charged toward the enemy fleet, dodging some enemy fire, and taking others head on with layers of shields. AFter the frontal assault, they will fly through the fleet, coming in and out of cloak to confuse them, and do as much damage as possible while maintaining full impulse, then come out of the back and line up for another run.

The sheilds on the cubes held out but a Missle snuck past the sheilds at the last instant destroying the two cubes. The Bioships and the rest of the collectives ships gathered around. the Largest bioship came foward from the rest. the six smaller ships and the 18 Borg vessals all concentrated their full attack power on the Larger Bioship The Large Bioship pointed itself at the Lucifer while it was concentrating on the other ships and Fired a Massive beam of Pure Destructive Energy measuring 3 miles in diameter straight for the center of the ship in a continues beam, capable of destroying any celestial body it came across.

Ops: *between fits of laughter* The Thor's on a ramming course!

Piett: Bloody hell! Concentrate all fire on the Thor!

At this, the force attacking the Lucifer broke off and diverted all fire to the crippled flagship. 500 turbolasers erupted from the SG and quantum torpedoes firing three at a time from hundreds of Strike Cruisers barrelled toward the Thor, now on a desperate collision course.

By now 50 Strike Cruisers had fallen, along with 20 fighters from the Ravans, one of which was moderately damaged.

IC Secret: The RS-112 Minelayers had finished and had just left the system, leaving an impennitrable minefield around the sun.

Aboard the DLS Doomgiver

"Sir, we're apraoching the battle, our allies appear to be winning."

"Target their big ship with everything we got, we don't want another sun going nova on us."

Suddenly, the Doomingsland fleet dropped out of warp near the Lucifer as the RS ships started breaking off. Two Doomgiver class Super Battleships opened fire with 500 turbo lasers each, and 40 quantum torpedo tubes, all targetting the shields, while 20 Defiants circled around, strafing enemy weapon systems. If the enemy shields go down, 10 125 megaton nuclear devices would be beamed into key parts of the Lucifer, and detonated as soon as they rematerialized.

OOC: well, between the two of us, someone is going to destroy the Lucifer, I mean shucks, I have a very pwerful beam of Pure Destructive Energy headed straight for the Lucifer, you have all sorts of little ships attacking the sheilds, and you plan on destroying it with teleporting bombs, (oh yeah its going down. unless he pulls a Godmod...)

The Thor blew under the combined weaponry of Ruthless Slaughter's ships, but the momentum of the engines allowed the flaming ship to crash into the Saving Grace, near the bridge. There is no telling how much damage it caused, but the Shivans believe that it is heavy at the least.

The Lucifer's shields still held against all the enemy's firepower, but not for long...
In the meantime, the Ragnorak rejoined the fight when the Sovereign entered realspace.
"Grandfather. Let's take down that so-called Lucifer together." Andrew called to Master Masaki.
"Yes, let's do it!"
"Fire the superlaser!" The both ordered their respective crew.
The Star Battleships finally did what the Allied Fleet could not. The sheer planet-killing firepower of the two superlasers battered down the subspace shields (down to 20% from all combined weaponry), and caused heavy damage to the ship itself.
[Gaaah! We must retreat! Golgotha 2 and 3, destroy the sun!] Admiral Bosk roared. [The rest of the fleet, retreat into subspace!]
The finally-damaged Lucifer and what remained of the Shivan fleet took down the FTLi, and fought their way out of the Allied fleet, ramming ships if necessary. As they continued to fire parting shots, their engines ripped open a hole into subspace, and the Shivans disappeared. All but two ships: The Golgothas.
They made a nano-jump to get closer to the sun, but they ran into the minefield. Even with their beam cannons, they couldn't get close enough to pulse the sun into a supernova, and they blew up when a solar flare added to the mine damage. Sweet revenge for a star, and the Golgothas were no more.

The Drones on the Thor were lost, but the knowledge gained by the collective would allow them to make anexxective anti-Shivan Nanite weapon...

The Saving Grace was now crippled, had multiple hull breaches, and the bridge is now no more than an inch in area. Luckily, the iminent doom backup system kicked in and beamed the majority of the 50,000 personnel onto other ships in the fleet. The command crew wound up in the most random of places: The bridge of the Doomgiver!

OOC: OK, the Saving Grace is out of action, but salvagable. I spared 5 Strike Cruisers and one Ravan to tow it back to Starbase Waypoint for repairs. We lost 9,023 people in that attack, none of them will die in vain...

OOC:Wait, after all the crap we threw at you, I still couldn't beam my nukes aboard? Well, you could make it funny, like your ship exploding in subspace...

[B]Aboard the Doomgiver

The command crew of the Saving Grace had just beamed aboard, with Piett landing right in front of Dredhamer.

"Like I was saying before, we had to walk FIFTEEN miles to th-"

"Admiral, shouldn't we be getting back to the battle?" Piett said, trying to spare the men aboard the brige the boredom of another rant.

"Oh, yeah...that battle, I think we already won..." he said, watching the Lucifer disapear along with what was left of the fleet.

"You think they coulda done that BEFORE Bosk rammed me with his flagship..."

Sider watched as the enemy fleet dissappeared in am enormous ball of energy and fire. "Status report, ops..." He said gazing at the viewscreen.

"Y...yessir. 17 ships not responding to hails. Begining parameter scan."

Saider sat down and adjusted his uniform. "Give me the status of the rest of the addied fleet also, tell them that our support vessels are available if nessessary to use them."

"Here is the report, sir. And transmitting message now." Ops said as he put the battle report on the viewscreen and sent the transmission to the allied fleet.

"We lost 9 ships and their crew, 8 others are crippled...Tell the Vi2oian fleet to re-group at these cordinates."

"Yessir."

The fleet re-goruped just outside of the battle field, then sent a request for a wreckage team to savage the scrap metal from the lost Vi2o ships. "It will be a day to remember...they lost their lives for a cause." He said with a smile. "No Vi2oian soldier marches into battle expecting to leave alive, but to only fight, and win."

As the crew of the remaining Core fleet cheered and made toasts to victory, dampened only by a quick funeral for the lives lost, the Masakis convened aboard the Sovereign.

To all Allied Fleets:
We are entirely thankful for rescuing Atlantis from destruction. I suggest that we personally meet aboard our Battleship Sovereign for champagne and Jurian Chicken. We will lower our shields for those who wish to beam over. Again, thank you so much for all your help.

The final tally for the dead was:
35 Star Destroyers destroyed
80 other craft destroyed
2469 fighters killed
The Emperor SSD had to be sent to the shipyards for repair. 1500 crew members died in the fighting.

Estimates for the Shivans:
3/4 of the original fleet destroyed.
1/4 of the Lucifer fleet destroyed.

The Vi2oian fleet returned to Vi2o space for repair, but left a probe behind for easier communications and monitoring with the CW systems.

Afterwords, the emporer recieved word of the victory, and authorized the deployment of reinforcements. Another 10 Defiants, 5 Akiras, and a Galaxy jumped to warp to link up with the Grand Fleet.

OOC: Remember, this is an alternate timeline, so whatever happens here, does not actually affect the real Shivans or allied fleet. Just so you know.

Now with the command crew of the SG on board the Ravan White Hellfire, the total count was assessed: 50 Strike Cruisers lost, 20 Ravan fighters lost, The Saving Grace had lost 9,023 crewmen and was badly damaged but still salvagable. It took 5 Strike Cruisers and one Ravan to tow it back, but they were already on the way back to the rest of the fleet. The SG had replacement crewmen already volunteering, but the repairs would take one RL day to complete. A Megalith class transport arrived to ship all SG crewmen minus the command crew back to Waypoint. Now with the fleet on the mend, Piett and his senior staff beamed over to the Sovereign to celebrate and mourn the loss of his men...

On the Sovereign

Piett: *between bites of chicken and large swigs of champaign* I believe I'll keep the minefield up, just in case the Shivans decide to return. There is a similar blockade around the RS sun. The mines are cloaked and self-replicating, so the only reason they should be worked on is if the field should need to be dismantled. More good news, The Saving Grace should be up and running in a few months, a year at most. She's proven to be a great warship and an invaluable command. I believe our exploits here should be worth writing in the history books.

OOC: Oh...alternate timeline...I knew that. Well, by uberships are still completed. lol.

"Oh, it definitely will be in the history books." Emperor Masaki agreed. "It is good that we're alive to write them. However, I feel that we are not done with the Shivans yet. I noticed that every time they lose, they bring back a larger fleet or more powerful ship. We'll need to keep on alert."

For now, we enjoy the spoils of victory. I would reccomend, however, that you have all suns mined. I have the specs here-*hands Masaki an isolinear chip* They are cloaked and self-replicating, impenatrable to all except the minelayers that planted them.

Antares Fleet Yards, deep within RS space

Engineer1: So, how's the repairs comin'?

Engineer2: Well, she may have come in looking like crap, but she's a fighter. No wonder they made her the flagship.

A man in a business suit walks in carrying a small vial.

Man: I'm from the Science Beaureu. Use these. They're nanites, recently come out of R&D. However their programming has been altered. They are now meant to repair ships within a matter of hours. For a case like this, it will be fully repaired by noon tomorrow. Oh, and the President sends his commendations on what your doing. The Saving Grace is the best there is and we want to keep it that way.

Engineer1: Uh, thanks. So we just drop 'em on the ship and they'll go to work fixing it?

Man:Yes, what did you think you said magic words and it was fixed?

Being an engineer, he took serious offense to that remark. As the man walked out, the two engineers hurriedly dumped the vial on the bridge area. The nanites multiplied and englufed the entire ship as it statred regaining it's original shape.

"No love lost between us." The Emperor added. Glasses clinked and another shot of champange went down the gullet.

"Agreed," Piett replied as he finished his glass off.

OOC:The nanites repairing the SG are only known of in the fleet yards, the Science Bueareu, and President R.L. himself. It will be a complete surprise when Piett sees the flagship come out of warp months ahead of schedule. Unless, of course, my understanding of nanite effinciency leaves much to be desired.

While the humans celebrated, the Shivans were hard at work repairing and rebuilding the fleet. Soon, they'll be ready to strike at a target of their choosing. In order to find a suitable target for the worldship, the human-killers discreetly sent probes to outlying colonies and major worlds alike. Then, they would wait and analyze potent worlds. They would wait for as long as possible, until the time is right to strike...

OOC: Anyone willing to put one of their main worlds up for sacrifice?

The Planet Doom

Above the hell-like planet, at the Doom Shipyards, a new weapon had been completed. One that promised to crush the Shivans in one fell swoop. And, perhaps, more unsuspecting worlds...

The new vessle, the DLS Helldawg would jump to warp, but stay away from the main fleet, so the Shivans wouldn't know of it. It was a massive, 27 km behemoth, armed with 700 turbo lasers, 50 quantum torpedo tubes, 20 phaser banks, but all of this firepower paled in comparison to its main weapon: the BLUE-66 World Cleanser. The ship was built around the weapon, which was an anti-subspace ion beam, that can be set to scorch the surface of a planet to make it habitable for a Dooman(I'm a different race, more on that one later), or it can outright cut into the core, and cause it to burst. The Shivan World Ship would provide more than a challenge, however, as a planet isn't sheilded and armored...

OOC: haven't posted in a while. Might, might not.

IC: The Greydoom-3 was going down in smoke. It couldn't be believed. But then when they thought about it, it wasn't one uber beam(:p) that hit them, it was two. Evacuation ship's were leaving left and right. There was fire and smoke throughout decks 12-86. The captain had planned on ramming the foe, but they left. Captain of the greydoom-3 was on the last evacuation ship, and left when the ship blew up. It was like a supernova dieing out. It rocked the ships. The evacuation ships opened a warp gate, and entered it, bound for home. Mean while the rest of the ships regrouped and counted it's losses. 10 Doomstorms were lost, 2,000 fighters, and amazingly 1 planet destroyer. Headquarters heard about this, and were currently working on another planet destroyer, modifieing it.

Several weeks later...
Master Masaki meditated on his customary mediation chair. Drawing upon the Force that was the source of power for all Jedi, he sought to ascern the intentions of the enemy, and this is what the Force has revealed so far:

He was a young boy again, just for an instant. Tenchi walked along a path in a forest full of...quietness. Soon, Tenchi came to a fork in the road. Both forks were shrouded in a dense fog, and he couldn't peer into the fog. He chose the fork on the right, and reached a city, like the thousands dotted across the galaxy. Suddenly, a beam of red energy appeared from the sky, and struck the city's center. Seconds later, a nuclear-style explosion tore through the city, forcing Tenchi to cover his eyes as the dust rolled over him. When the explosion cleared, he could see nothing but desert as far as the eye can see. The entire planet on which he was standing was bombarded from space by the Shivans. They left nothing alive. Nothing.
Tenchi quickly walked back through the fog, and this time, he took the left fork. When he passed through the fog, he saw the same city, but no red beam came from the sky. The city went on with business as usual.

Master Masaki realized what the Force was trying to tell him. He ended his meditation, and walked to the transparisteel windows, looking at the stars.
"What is it, Grandfather?" Andrew asked. "I sense you are troubled."
"My grandson. We are at a crossroads in time. One path, is the Shivans, and victory for the Dark Side of the Force. The other is the Allied Forces and victory for the Light. I do not know which path we will be taking at this point in time, but this I know. We are hurtling towards a confrontation that will decide the fate of this war and only one race will come out of this alive."
The Master soon grew dangerously weary and laid down on his bed. "Andrew. Beware of the Dark Side, for it is easy to be seduced, but far harder to climb back out of the abyss. Andrew, I am about to sleep. Sleep forever."
Andrew choked. "Grandfather, y-you can't go!"
"I have earned it, Andrew. It is time." Master Masaki looked at his grandson for the last time. "Goodbye and may the Force...be...with....you..."
His final breath exhausted, Master Masaki closed his eyes, and died. His body soon faded away, as Jedi Masters do when their time is up, and his robes were left. All Jedi in the nation sensed the disturbance in the Force of Master Masaki's passing, and stopped to mourn.
Daniel Masaki came into the room, crying. "Daddy...he's gone! Granddad's gone!"
"I know. I know." Father and son embraced. Aides came in, also learning of the Master's death. "Send a message to all allies. Our Jedi Master Masaki has become one with the Force, in peace. All flags...half staff for one week."
"Yes, sire." The aides walked out.

LIBERATORIAN SECRET SHIPYARD

On the dark red planet, lightning was common. It was an eternal electric storm on Vexus-9. The ship crew was working extremely hard, and around the clock, making a new planet destroyer. The last attack on it gave the scientists a few ideas.

"How is the ship coming along?" yelled the commander of the project over the howling of the storm.

" Almost complete. Just a few more tests. I estimate about another day's worth." Yelled the head of crew.

" Good." said the commander.

The scientists had finished all tests on the new vessel. It had passed everyone with flying colors. It was amazing. The scientists out did themselves. Head of crew, Thorin Greffale, called the commander.

" Sir, we've completed the ship. I believe that this time it won't be overpowered as easily as it was before." Said Thorin, with an evil smirk on his face.

"VERY GOOD! Great job. The emperor will be pleased." Said Commander John Hedroin. He let go of the com button. He then pulled up a file on the computer and deleted it. Now, on to nanites. Thought John.

The Thor blew under the combined weaponry of Ruthless Slaughter's ships, but the momentum of the engines allowed the flaming ship to crash into the Saving Grace, near the bridge. There is no telling how much damage it caused, but the Shivans believe that it is heavy at the least.

The Lucifer's shields still held against all the enemy's firepower, but not for long...
In the meantime, the Ragnorak rejoined the fight when the Sovereign entered realspace.
"Grandfather. Let's take down that so-called Lucifer together." Andrew called to Master Masaki.
"Yes, let's do it!"
"Fire the superlaser!" The both ordered their respective crew.
The Star Battleships finally did what the Allied Fleet could not. The sheer planet-killing firepower of the two superlasers battered down the subspace shields (down to 20% from all combined weaponry), and caused heavy damage to the ship itself.
[Gaaah! We must retreat! Golgotha 2 and 3, destroy the sun!] Admiral Bosk roared. [The rest of the fleet, retreat into subspace!]
The finally-damaged Lucifer and what remained of the Shivan fleet took down the FTLi, and fought their way out of the Allied fleet, ramming ships if necessary. As they continued to fire parting shots, their engines ripped open a hole into subspace, and the Shivans disappeared. All but two ships: The Golgothas.
They made a nano-jump to get closer to the sun, but they ran into the minefield. Even with their beam cannons, they couldn't get close enough to pulse the sun into a supernova, and they blew up when a solar flare added to the mine damage. Warhaven, sounds good. Perhapse we could exchange technology. I have mastered Phased Polaron Beams and turned it into a devistating anti-capital ship weapon when in large numbers. I am employing 16 them each in the ships below:

10 Massive ships, 6.5 Kilometers in length orbited around Karasitha, near the Vi2oian Space Station.

"That is going to drain our national budget! 10 of them?" Said a noted economist, Jenna Liftman.

"I am not sure, don't forget that Vi2o used to make many more large ships like this years ago. They got rid of them because they drained the budget, and wheer not manueverable enough, but this is 10 as a pose to 100 6.5 kilometer ships." Responded a civilian that overherd her. "Becides, these are carriers. I think we need them. Imagine the type of support those ships can give during battle. They can hold 10 starships...10!" He said with an excited laugh. He clearly liked big guns.

Jenna frowned. They where two among thousands that have just witnesses the final construction of the 10 Firestorm Class Super Carriers, which was a coincieled operation for a long while until just a few days ago.

"Well..." Jenna said frankly, "Looks like Vi2o...got some big ships..."

One human year later

No Shivan attacks have occured, no encounters with the enemy appeared. The Shivan Overmind decided that it would wait one year before striking, in order to make the humans complacent and impatient with the 'phony war'. Now that year has passed. Now the Overmind is ready to strike again. It has gathered the largest fleet in Shivan history, over 50,000 capital ships, including the Lucifer and Shiva themselves. In addition, 1,000,000 fighters was gathered, in order to overwhelm the human fleets. The Overmind is sparing no expense in this all-or-nothing campaign. It knows well what would happen if either species lost this battle. For the humans, it's complete destruction of their race. No child left alive. For the Shivans, it's also extermination, for Shiva contains the majority of the population, though none that can be considered 'civilians', for even the smallest and youngest are ready to fight from the day of birth.
The Shivans have chosen the world they wish to destroy most completely, in order to demoralize the humans: Juria.
The first stage of the attack is to eliminate the defenders. The second is to land ground troops to kill every human alive. The third and final is to crush the reinforcements. Only then, can the Shivans go out and destroy the other human worlds.
The Earth-sized worldship (could say Jupiter, but that's a different worldship) and it's Grand Fleet soon readied for combat. And annihilation. Thus the largest subspace tear opened up at the outskirts of the Jurian system and the entire fleet appeared.
The Shiva and other ships powered up the FTLi, but they did not bother to jam communications.
The final stage before the ships attacked, was the three most terrifying words:
HUMANITY IS DOOMED!

Now the Saving Grace was repaired and Hyperion Fleet had 1000 Strike Cruisers, the bulk of the SC force, as the home system was nearly impenatrable. However, as some humans would become relaxed with time, RS became more wary, investigating every subspace disturbance or unfamiliar warp signature. Piett had earned many commendations and was now commander of the entire space force. All forces were on the edge of the RS system, ready to depart at a moment's notice. With the help of the BORG, they're nanites could now repair a badly damaged ships in days.

OOC: Is Juria the homeworld of all the universe's jurors?
Oh, and why stop killing the live humans? Why not the dead ones too? There could be zombies... JK, of course.

One human year later

Now the Overmind is ready to strike again. It has gathered the largest fleet in Shivan history, over 50,000 capital ships, including the Lucifer and Shiva themselves. In addition, 1,000,000 fighters was gathered, in order to overwhelm the human fleets. *sniff,sniff* Hey, guys...? *sniff,sniff* I think someones cooking up a GODMOD.

Petty Officer Walter Keyson was the station's sensor officer, and he was on duty, monitoring the skies for activity. So it came to no surprise when he noticed a massive energy surge on the edge of the system.
"Sir! We got major activity! Sector 23 delta tango!" He shouted.
"What? Let me see!" Admiral Dale Swenson, the commander in charge of the defense of Juria, replied.
Then, the next sight made both men go white with fear.
"I'm getting hundreds...no thousands of craft designated Shivan. No, no! It can't be!"
"That's no ordinary planet, that's for sure." the Admiral collected his cool. "All hands, RED ALERT! Prepare for battle! The Shivans have arrived! Alert the Emperor that the Shivans have arrived with what looks like their entire fleet, plus a world ship of some kind!"
"Yes sir!" Crew ran around, manning batteries and missile launchers, while the warships stationed at the planet got ready to fight. And die. It wasn't long before turbolasers and beam cannons started criss-crossing the sky, but it was clear that the beam cannons sorely outnumbered the turbolasers.

When the Emperor recieved the news, he was so shocked that he dropped the fax-paper. Then, he sent a message to every fleet in Coreworlds, including those of the Allies.
MAYDAY! MAYDAY! SHIVAN FLEET DETECTED AT JURIA INCLDNG WORLDSHIP!
ALL FLEETS, DROP EVERYTHING AND CONVERGE ON JURIA!
RPT, ALL FLEETS, CONVERGE ON JURIA! *coordinates given to allies*

As ordered, every Star Destroyer in the nation, every fighter, even private craft with weapons, jumped into hyperspace at flank speed, racing against time to save their beloved second homeland. Juria must be saved at all costs!

OOC: Don't do that... Let him bring in his PUNY LITTLE FLEET. I will simply over whelm him with the ENTIRE BORG COLLECTIVE which currently measures 675 Million Drones including King Warfare. We are BORG. That is the way we are.

During the year, hundreds of ships and thousands of fighters had been constructed, making use of nanites, and added to the Grand Fleet. It now consisted of 6 Doomgivers, 20 Galaxies, 50 Akiras, 100 Defiants, and last but not least, one Helldawg class world cleanser, which is commanded by the emporer himself.

Bio-The Doomans originated as humans, but after thousands of years on their homeworld, Doom, they evolved to a more sinister, resiliant being. Their eyes glow red, mainly because of the extreme heat on the homeworld, and their strength is far greater than that of the average human, due to the high gravity level on the planet. They have a high resiliance to poisons, for some apparent reason, possibly becuase of the air they breath. They have pale skin becuase of the lack of sun, but have high tolerance to heat. In otherwords, their like reptilian humans.

Vi2o realized after the last clash with the Shivans that more ships where needed, espically since Vi2o makes their ships rather small. Near Juria, a transwarp conduit opened up and massive fleets of the BORG streamed out of it in reasponse to the distress call. the entire collective bunched up and and anyone looking that direction would have seen a massive wall metal moving faster than light. Without warning the Collective scattered the ships in all directions. A message was beamed out on all channels

WE ARE THE BORG. YOU WILL BE DESTROYED. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. WE ARE THE BORG.

All vessals in the collective immediatly attacked the worldship. All vessals were running by at various angles on many trajectories continuasly firng all availible weapons. the Bioships, were concentrating all there fire power into a larger Bioship which was adding in the modified Energy draining technology to defeat their sheilds so the rest of the allied fleet could break through. The Other BORG vessals were also doing the same. The collective had no doubt the sheilds would drop in no time.

Willing: Thanks, Most of the ECF fleet uses 1.2 Gigaton Phasers.
This refit occurded after the TITAN Class which exceded all expectations. Soon we have been able to get up to 12 gigatons.
The phaser shotgun dishs out 45 gigs of damage. But fires slowly.

Sets up satalites everywhere, and broadcasts the war onto the Holoscreens as

War Of Which CoreWorlds Ignores

The entire fleet of Coreworlds soon jumped in the system, which was already in the process of being destroyed. Some allies have already arrived.
"Emperor, we are detecting thousands of Shivan craft." A crewman aboard the Sovereign reported. "Not to mention what looks like the Lucifer and an Earth-sized planet."
"Very well. The fleet is to fire at will immediately. Aim the superlasers at the Lucifer. We are not letting it get away this time."
"Yes, sir!"
From all four Sovereign classes, the superlasers attacked ships defending the Lucifer first, since they have to get through the thousands of enemies in order to reach the capital ship. Thousands upon thousands of turbolasers struck the enemies, and many fell to the green sheets of energy. In return, red beam cannons took their share of Star Destroyers and other ships. Fighters swarmed each other, wheeling and dodging, and dying as well. It was carnage of the highest order. Humans against Shivans. The final battle continues to rage.

OOC: I wonder how long it will take for the Shiva to go down? I have all 6,750 BORG vessals concentrating on it. The BIO ships are firing off their planet destroying lasers capable of destroying planets avaen larger than Jupiter, and they do exist, Sciense has proved that in RL.

OOC: the worldship will take a while, because it has the strongest shields and most powerful weapons of the Shivan fleet. But it will be destroyed, no doubt about that.

Massive BEAM CANNONS OF DOOM tracked the Borg ships and let loose 500m-thick beams of energy, enough to completely vaporize chunks of planets. Not to mention that clouds upon clouds of nanites were spit at the Borg, in order to help reduce their cube ships to nothing.
The worldship then disgorged thousands of transport craft towards Juria, as per instructions from the Overmind. Many will fall, but the sheer numbers of the fleet will ensure that many more will make it. Now, the ground battle is about to begin!

The Emperor took notice of many ships heading for the planets and orbiting colonies, and ordered troops and Jedi to land and bunker down for the ground invasion. Many, many people took up arms, from the 10-year-old kids barely able to carry rifles, to the old geezers who decided to take overall command of neighborhoods, as they remember their war-experience. This is the most populated planet, with 1.1 billion people, surpassing even Coredia's 500 million, so the Shivans will have millions of humans to fight. But the Shivan troops did not care, for they flexed their claws in anticipation of skewering the soft human flesh, and feeling the blood run down their arms and mandibles. They readied their portable beam cannons, imagining humans cut in half, and their disrupters, imagining the so-called human plague disintergrate and reduced to component atoms. The Shivans have always been ready for war, and now they'll get to kill humans with their bare claws. No better joy for the Shivans. No better joy.

No sooner did they than 500 Strike Cruiserish starships burst out of warp and the 1000 normal vessels RTB.

Com:We're recieving a message from the lead ship sir.

Capt.:The President was aware you were facing down the entire the entire Shivan fleet, so he is retiring the Strike Cruiser early. These are the first of the new War Cruisers. They're bigger, better, mo-

Piett: Yes, yes, I get it! We'll assign the old crews to them later, for now, fall into formation and let's go!

All forces immediately complied and now Hyperion had more firepower in less ships. ETA, ten minutes.

OOC: The War Cruiser is one fourht bigger than the Strike Cruiser but has the power of two, meaning 40 turbolasers, and two quantum torpedo tubes firing in three round bursts. Basically, it's the exact equivilant of two old ships with one fouth less size.

Some Shivan transport craft attacked ships, while more headed for the ground. When the transports reached a ship's hull, they used beam cannons and vibro-prongs to pierce the shielding and hull, and once they pierced the hull, a hundred Shivans poured over crew and Marines. The spider-like creatures were wide enough that their legs sometimes scraped either side of the walls, but they didn't care, for the Shivans were adept at squeezing through small spaces.
When they saw the marines shooting them, they retaliated with beam cannons, cutting humans in half, disintergrating them with displacers or crushing/piercing them with their claws. The demonic spider race swarmed over the humans, even as the humans killed using their heavy weapons. The battles were bloody, and many Shivans gave their lives for the destruction of the humans.
The first transports finally reached the ground under heavy fire, and the spidery troops started to pour out by the thousands. A child shooting at them? Cut in half. Soldiers launching grenades and RPGs? disintergrated by heavy weapons (Striders) and displacers. Pokemon firing attacks? Skewered and cut in half. The Jedi and high-level Pokemon were the best at killing the Shivan troops, but they took many losses in the attempts. Fusion Tanks and AT units did their best to kill the Shivans, but the spidery troops simply overran them with numbers.

The ground battle rages, and many a human would never again see the light of day.

Willing: These Quantum Bursts our the only hope to stop them!

Ops: Coming out of warp.

Piett: All shields up, Red Alert! Power up the drain and target their planet ship. It's small enough to be disintigrated by our main gun. The two Ravans and 250 War Cruisers, engage all ships that even think about attacking, the rest, defensive formation aroung the Saving Grace. Start the drain!

An emerald beam shot into the planet/ship's shields, bringing them down to 80% on impact, and sapping the rest into an already charging forward gun. Any ships that attempted to engage were cut down by overwhelming bombardment from the surprisingly powerful War Cruisers. The Lucifer, Piett thought,would not have the same luck as the Thor.

OOC:I'm aware that the planet thing and the Lucifer are two different ships, I'm merely talking about the defensive line set up by the War Cruisers. Just FYI.

Secret IC:The RS-112 Minelayers had just finished rounding up the mines and set out for the Juria system via the long way to avoid the battle. There were 20 of them, escorted now by 10 War Cruisers. ETA, 2 hours.

OOC: Now for a Trenton NJ Style jumping.

"Drop out of warp." Saider suddenly commanded.

"Sir...? We still have 7 minutes until we reach the target zone."

Saider glared at the ensign "NOW, ensign!" He barked

The fleet came to a grinding halt. "All ships capable, cloak now. All others, maintain a low profile and engage EMD jammers. Red alert."

About half of the fleet dissappeared.

"Groups Devils Pawns and Outlaws, Attack from the front. Royal flush and Snowballs in Hell, Flank them. Checkmate and Saved by the Bell, attack from the rear. Glassed metal, take position just above the fleet and give them hell on mark. All Forestorms, deploy all docked vessels." Quickly said Saider, knowing he had to get there...now.

The fleet was in position and keeping a low profile. "MARK!" Yelled Saider through the communication channels. hundreds of ships appeared and pulled the triggers like madmen breaking out of jail. The massive Firestorms rattled off all 650 Type XXI phaser emittters, 40 quantom torpedos, and their main weapon: 16 Typs ACS (Anti-Capital Ship) Phased Polaron Beam emmiters. Enough light to be a star was being hurled at the fleet all at once, then when the dust cleared, the ships swarmed the enemy fleet, using the modified tractor beabs and gravity bombs to weaken their shields.

OOC: Here comes the boom.

Piett: Shields have drained to a sufficient level. FIRE!

Weap: Aye sir, firing.

Once again, the massive gun formed a neon ball that continued to grow. It reached a quarter of the ship's size, fired and seemed to fizzle out. Then the all too sinister eruption engulfed the shieldless planetiod with a deafening roar and blinding flash...

Secret IC: The RS-112s arrived and commenced laying mines around the sun as the 10 War Cruisers stood watch, ever ready for any rogue ship that might pass by.

Willing: The Shiva is down or disbaled, to hard to tell yet, MOVE IN MOVE IN!

Piett: That should have shaken them up, all fleet ships, engage the Shivans if you haven't already done so.

The War Cruisers broke defensive formation and unleashed their full ferocity on anything Shivan that happened to pass within a kilometer of them as the Ravans and the Saving Grace hung back a little and pummeled the crap out of the larger ships with turbolasers. Piett was determined not to launch fighters in case they had to get out fast.

OOC: My people's tactical opinion is that fighters are generally better for recon and that cruisers should be the lowest level of ship. We believe that if something can't at least take on a light cruiser, it's not meant for mainframe combat.

"Shit! Ruthless Slaughter is charging his main gun! EVASIVE MANEUVERS!"

The fleet scrambled liek bats out of hell out of the way of the RS gun. It cought the tail end of a Sovreign Class Cruiser sending it hurling out of control until it bumped shields with an enemy ship, and re-booted its navigation systems in enough time to get to saftey to get its bearings straight.

30 Gunstar fighters launched from the two Ravans and 50 Advanced Gunship Fighters (think Republic Gunship from SW, but black, souped up, and modified for space travel) from the SG deployed and went to the surface to provide close air support, the Gunstars to protect the AGFs, from air-to-air, and the AGFs to fight AtoA and AtoG.

Pilot: This is Falcon wing to any friendly installations. We just want to let you know we've arrived and we're doing strafing runs. If you have any Shivans inside buildings, do your best to get them outside. If a building's overrun, light it up and we'll level it. Over.

" All the ships except the three biggest engaged all shivan ships, taking them down left and right like mad men. While the three planet destroyers made for the Lucifer. The two smaller ships were on each side of the Greydoom-3omega.

" Charge all main weapons on all three planet busters!!!!" Said Neopol.

Aye,sir! They are fully charged! Awaiting your orders!"

" Send a message to the Lucifer stating the following;

Thunder sounded throughout space, and all dimmed as the three lightning blue planet killing weapons were emitted and fired together at the Lucifer.

Saider looked at his scanner screen and looked at the land battle that he had been ignoring. "Can RS handle this without support from our smaller ships?"

"Yessir, I believe so. There is also the Liberator and a couple other fleets in there."

"Very well...tell all ships to rendenvous with the ECF fleet. All atmosphere capable ships are to get into the palnets atmosphere and asist the ground units."

The fleet again changed cource as ECF fired its shotgun cannon, and again just missed a few Vi2oian ships.

"Comming up on ECF fleets, sir." Said the Helm officer.

"Good, provide fire support and transport down units to assist. All atmosphere capable ships, get down there and make yourself usefull."

10,000 Vi2oian soldiers where transported inside of troop transports to the ground and imediatly began constructing a command center and anti-air defences.

Each soldier is armed with:

3 Stun Grenades

Light armor coincists of:

100 Troop Transports capable of carrying up to 10 soldiers and extra gear. Also has low-capacity shield grid and one phaser emmiter for added defence.

On the Dredock, Yarnaut, new captain, was on the edge of his seat as their ion beams split a ship in half, just missing the bridge.

Sir, their are multiple shivan forces on the planet. They have taken many young lives." Said the helm's officer.

"DAM THEM! Send in the rendezous teams." Said Yarnaut.

"Aye, sir!"

10,000 of the Liberatorian's best men were deployed on the planet, and immediatley built base, and set up defenses. Then started to make plans for the attack.

On planet, the AGFs were ripping through Shivans like tissue paper, their AtG laser cannons blowing large holes in the mass of insect-like creatures. The Gunstars were having luck as well, destroying whatever dropships managed to make it past the hell the was ensuing in orbit. Over the com, cries such as,"YEAH! Another one's down!" were heard frequently as the skilled pilots expertly picked Shivans off like it was a weekend at the shooting range.

The ball contiued to grow until it had an area of 100 km. Then it burst, sending a massive shockwave through space, easily powerful enough to cause a serious hull breach.

OOC:No fair, I beamed nukes aboard the ship in the last engagement, and I want to finish him off.

The Shivans were finally beginning to be outnumbered and the gravity weapons were dealing the most damage. The Ragnorak was dishing out huge superlaser energies with every shot, obliterating ship after ship after ship. Master Masaki's flagship also added to the kill numbers, as it had more powerful shields and weaponry than the average ISD. Now, the humans were beginning to win.

[My liege, one of the humans' ships is starting to drain energy from our shields!] A drone telepathied to his lord admiral, aboard the Thor.

[As ordered, my Lord!] The Thor moved for the Saving Grace and brought all weapons to bear on the huge ship. The Gologthas also brought their weapons on the Grace, even as damage from turbolasers and gravitic weapons, among other weaponry, increased due to the shields weakening.

The Emperor was saved from destruction and the young crew cheered the allied fleet on. But it was not over yet.
As the humans continued to fight, a HUGE rip in the space-time continuum opened up, causing atmosphere from the planet of Atlantis to be pulled in, killing a few hundred more tourists.
Out of the rip, came the Lucifer itself, plus a fresh fleet of:
2 Golgothas
20 Tanens
40 Cobras
50 Hatershapts
75 Typhoons
100 Udjats
100 Sobeks
100 Mentus
100 Atens
20,000 fighters.

Lord Admiral Bosk, the human commander of the fleet, smiled sickly aboard the Lucifer, as it powered up the subspace shields (impervious to all but gravity weapons, though the superlaser can hurt it some).
Ah, my fellow humans. Now it is the time to die. You have fallen into my trap, and your time is at an end.
Fire when ready! He ordered his underlings.
The main beam cannon powered up, and a thick, dark-red beam stabbed across the sky and sliced through two Star Destroyers like they were not even there. It continued to slice, sweeping through the Allied Fleets. The humans have never before seen such a powerful weapon, and they never will again.
The battle has just become worse, much worse.

OOC: *Grrr* What the hell? I'm just doing this for fun! And besides, the Lucifer AND Shivans is copyrighted by whoever made the Freespace PC games. And sure, you can kill all the Shivans, since that's exactly what I'm doing in this final battle. I'll post in a bit, but I need to get some other posts done first.

Willing: The tide of the battle is starting to change,
To all Allied ships, We have secured the area around the planet. And our Troops need so assistance. We are starting to hold the shivans back but need help to defeat them.

Despite the assurances of the Overmind and the numeric superiority of the fleet, the Shivans began to lose. With the huge amount of energy being thrown about, the Allied fleet made the supposedly HUMANITY IS DOOMED line into a false statement.
The Admiral realized then, that he was about to be destroyed. Before the Lucifer blew, he took ten of his best Shivan warriors and grabbed a transport out of the hangar bay.
The Lucifer, under the combined firepower of the Allied superweapons, literally turned into a star and shined so bright, it nearly overloaded the vidscreens and shades.
The worldship didn't care, for it still had the fleet to fight with. The Overmind became insane with rage at the losses, and started shooting with the planetary weapons at any Allied ship that got too close, no longer caring if it's own ships were caught in the fire.
I must win against the humans! It is my right as a plague-killer! They must be destroyed!

Meanwhile, the ground war was starting to turn around when Pokemon Master/Jedi Knight (what are you looking at me for?) Alex Regalo took command of the ground forces. He, along with the Marines and other troops, managed to trap the Shivan forces when the Admiral's ship came barreling down.
The transport landed, and Admiral Bosk and his ten best Shivans took out many humans and Pokemon (I can't believe I'm using them, but yes I am) before facing Alex himself. A standoff occured, as evil Admiral Bosk pulled out a sword coated with Cortorsis metal.
"I have slain many with this blade, Jedi." Admiral Bosk sneered. "You will be but one more death on my hands. My Shivan warriors will deal with your...Pokemon."
"Very well." Alex replied, igniting his green blade and sending out his Pokemon. "Your reign of death is at an end. By the Force, I will defeat you."
"Then, die!"
The Admiral slashed with the blade, and Alex blocked nicely with his lightsaber. Duel of the Fates (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Movies/starwar7.wav) suddenly piped in from unseen speakers to all ships, as they fought. The Admiral was indeed a tough opponent for Alex, for his telepathic link with the Overmind countered the Force in a clash of light against dark, good vs evil.
Raichu, Ninetailes, Gyarados, Gengar, Espeon, and Charizard faced down their ten opponents. These Shivans have already killed many of their Pokemon brethren, and they were furious! These 6 were not your ordinary cute, cuddly Pokemon like you see on TV. They were truely dangerous, and have fought alongside their trainer in many conflicts, and killed (yes, killed) many enemies, human and alien.
The Shivans and the Pokemon charged, and ripped at each other. Raichu and Ninetailes zipped forward with Quick Attack before unleashing Thunder and Flamethrower, while the Ghost and Psychic held back and shot blasts of psychic and dark energies (Psychic/Psybeam and Shadowball/Nightshade). Gyarados used hyperbeam and took one down right off, and Charizard took to the air, strafing them with fire.
The spidery Shivans found their beam cannons next to useless due to the speed and defense powers of these high-level enemies, and so they ended up using their claws.
This duel is a fight to the death, make no mistake about it.

OOC: Please don't insult me about the Pokemon. I still like the games...though the shows are way too boring for my taste. *runs and hides under a rock*

The BORG ships were not caught by surprise, the collective remebered well the last battle and had adapted itself to shivan energy weapons. Having lost 20,000 drones on the Thor in the previous battle the BORG adapted their own Nanites to destroy foregin Nanites on contact. (Foreign being any Non BORG Nanite.) The Cubes Released Clouds of BORG Nanites that had been produced throughout the year for study by the USF. and All borg ships regenerated themselves from the minor dameges they incured. The Bioships simply shrugged off the Energy weapons as a show. The Shivan Nanites had absolutly no effect on the BIOships since their superior immun system destroyed ANYTHING that came in from the outside. The Bioships having Charged up their lasers Fired off their planet destroying lasers from all directions impacting the Worldships Sheilds and draining them at an extreme rate.

OOC: I don't have a super laser attached to My BIOships, it is a Part of the Ship That is Grown Naturally when we Grow them. It is Not a Godmod for the BORG to have adapted To Shivan Energy Weapons, It happens all the Time, Nor is It a Godmod for them to have adapted to Shivan Nanites. If You want to defeat the BORG you have to outwit them, A feat that only the best can do.

Piett: Bah! That world ship is stronger than I thought! Reactivate drain! Power up the gun again!

Tact: But sir, we've already lost 10 War Cruisers, and I wouldn't reccomend a second sho-

Piett: Their overmind has gone mad! They're a danger to themselves as well as humanity! You have your orders!

Tact: But- Aye sir, drain initiated, gun charging.

The emerald beam shot out once again to sap the shields of the planetoid thing while the gun commenced charging.

Aboard the Helldawg

"My lord, their forces are crumbling. The only serious threat is that world-ship!"

"Destroy them!"

The Helldawg once again charged up its beam, creating a massive energy ball, then firing the beam at the Shiva, which would either cause massive damage, or penetrate down into the core of the ship, cuasing it to explode. Meanwhile, the smaller ships swarmed over the worldships, although 12 Defiants and 9 Akiras were lost.

Andrew realized the threat the worldship is causing, and decided to take his X-wing into the fray.
"Sire, that is most unwise!" his majordomo argued. "Think of your son! Your father fell in a similar fashion!"
"And I turned out allright, you know. Besides, I'm probably safer out there than you are in here."
"Fine, I cannot stop you. I can only warn you." the aide grumbled. "May the Force be with you."
"and with you, Jacob." The Emperor strode to his personal hangar bay, taking shortcuts through the large warship. Rocky the astromech rolled and beeped behind him.
"Ready as always, eh Rocky?"
Rocky beeped affirmatively. He's an old droid, even by R2 standards, having been around since the late Tenchi was a kid, but he's still useful in battle.
The duo snuggled into their respective cockpits on the X-wing (XJX class) and quickly headed out into the battlefield, immediately shooting up a few Shivan fighters.
Then he saw an allied warship attack the Shiva with yet another super-powerful weapon, and the planet shuddered under the impact. Where the energy ball impacted, was now a large hole, and with the sebsequent firings of superlaser, particle cannons and other weapons, the hole became deeper, and deeper, until it reached the core itself. Now the core of the Shiva was where the Overmind controlled the Shivans, and it was inpenetrable by all kinds of firepower, except as the Emperor suspected, fighters.
"All allied fleets. This is the Emperor of Coreworlds. It's time to finish off the Shivans once and for all! The last round of firepower has left a hole big enough for fighters to go down and destroy the core. When I analyzed the sensor readings aboard my ship, I knew that that would be the final death blow of the Shivans. My plan is simple: The best fighters are to fly down and take out the core. It won't be easy, but it's simple. You with me?"

On the planet of Juria
Alex's duel with the Admiral was the longest of his life, over 10 minutes of fighting so far. The two men (Alex is 20) fought among the death and destruction that plagues the homeworld of Juria. Alex's Pokemon have already finished defeating their Shivan opponents with a combination of their most powerful attacks, though they were bloody and exhausted. Finally, Alex finished off the Admiral by destroying the sword, and slashing the evil man in half. Pain and rage registered on the Admiral's face, then he fell in two bloody pieces, dead. The Shivans on the ground were then overwhelmed by the number of soldiers on Juria wielding every type of weapon, and were soon all but completely wiped out.

The Shivan fleet was now down to less than 1000 ships and 2000 fighters. They started ramming Allied capital ships and even the planet, as the Overmind gave last instructions before it's death would occur. The battle for Juria is nearly over!

Willing: ALL HANDS BRACE FOR IMPACT!
* A Shivan Cursier smashed into the bow sending crashing into the center of the ship*
Ops: Sir Sheilds at 33.2%!
Willing: Fire the Shotgun, All Other weapons fire at will!
* Fire Started raning out of the Flagship, And 120 Minutes Later *
Willing: All orbiters and every last dreadnought is down, Shivan fleet around the planet is gone, Our Ground forces have destoryed the last of the invading Shivans. The Coreworlds warriors are cleaning up whats left
Ops: Sir the Shiva's weapons are down!
Willing: FIRE! ALL WEAPONS!
* fire begins to pour onto the disabled Shivan ship world thingy*
Willing: Fire The Shotgun MAXIMUM POWER!
* the ball of energy lept out putting a 300km wide 30 km hole in the ship*
Ops: All weapons facing us have been disabled.
Willing: All wings engage the smaller ships that are left, TITAN wing take care of the frigates.
Willing: Resqesting External Damage report from any allied ship, Take a look at the Flagships hull. We have lost some compting power. Please tell us the extent of hull damage. Our sheilds are back online now. So there is no danger of more external damage. But we need to know how bad the surface is banged up!

The Shivan worldship was at it's death throes. Fires erupted wherever Allied weapons touched the surface, and atmosphere contunally escaped, though the worldship still had enough air to last a while.
The Emperor and his Jedi squadron went down towards the hole, but had to fight the last remaining fighter squadrons before they could get in. Allied fighters should be coming soon to join the party.

Willing: All Fighters, Cover the ECF Defiant as she flys in. Only a defiant has that kind of firepower to breakthrough the force feild surrounding the core, Please Respond.

The Three Greydoom's crews were overjoyed with the sight that they viewed. Finally, they had their revenge, as the Lucifer went down in it's own firey flames. The rejoicing stopped abruptly as they noticed that there was still the Shiva to deal with.

"Power weapons, and release the fighters." Said Neopol, short and to the point.

"Aye,sir!"

In the Fighter Bay, the Fighter squadron was being prepped for take off. After flicking on and powering up weapons,shields, and engines, they were given the green light. With a roar, the fighters exited the massive ship's bay doors. The Fighters made for the Shiva, with a taste of victory in their mouth, and the smell of a kill.
