Actualy, you would need approxumatly five to destroy a planet outright, but a single one is capable of cracking the crust, as said, so unless the planet is VERY large, it will most likely be uninhabitable for qutie some time. Of course, this is its effect on Earthlike planets, who knows what it would do to a young planet or a gas giant.

But other than that, we have some outdated Mungha class cruisers. I was however, thinking more of combat testing, whats rather nice about ramships is that there isnt much to damage, just a computer, a pilot (sometimes) and an engine.

What we need is the shielding system your space ships use. We can build our own ships and have done so for millennia, which of course means that we do not need ships. All we need are the techical readouts for your shield mechanism. How much would that cost?

GLAF ships are large, and carry huge generators to power huge weapons and shields, obviously, they dont work well on smaller vessles, look at the Piledriver class, about 1/4 of the ship is nothing but generators, powering the shields, weapons and life support for such a gigantic ship.
Our fighters, however, run small shields, they are designed to make up for the huge size of the cappies.
So, what are we looking at? If you want, we can designe a generator specificaly for your ships, but it would cost more.

So it is ship dimensions you want, yes? The Dreadnought is 240 meters in length, 180 in width (at its widest point) and 60 meters high. The Marauder is 240 meters in length, just like the Dreadnought, but it is 80 meters in width and 50 meters in height. There is no need to worry about energy, that is abundant. As for space, there is more than enough of that to be used on them. The generators would be placed under the ship's armor. We also might find a use for your fighter shields, though.

So, how much would this cost? It is not like we need you to build us those generators, all we need are the technical readouts for them.

No, its just 3D renderings of the old game, there are plans for a TA2, but they are in the future, and the company doing it is keeping it low profile.
