King Bob, the Poseidons and Chronos's don't carry anybody besides crew, they're cargo ships. They might be able to hold 2 or 3 more people, but it's going to very cramped at sleeping time.

The Elysium can carry 4 squads of soldiers (4 soldiers to a squad), so it'd be a total of 16 people. (Does this sound right? They never give an exact figure in the game)

For an invasion, I'd say 2 Orions, 4 Fenris's, 20 Mjolnirs, and maybe a NMDS to defend your main command station on the planet.

I meant without cargo. All of my squads have 5 soldiers and i have no idea how many they carry in the game.

we need a work horse ship capable of suporting interplanetary operations and defending our missions in space. A quick response Frigate or Cruiser - upgradable, scalable, modular. It has to be a flexable design.

but more importantly we need a mobile base of operations for our defense forces in order to attack pirates at thier sources - this needs to be a ship thats large enough to suport itself in space for years on end - itll have to have its own manufacturing array capable of fighter - capital ship class construction on the fly.

If you dont have a working design that meets this need is it possible to strip down the largest ship you have so we can fit it with an omnium class shipyard facility.

For your "work horse" ship I'd recommend a Fenris or Leviathan. Fenris's are faster and more maneuverable, Leviathans are more powerful with more armor. Both would be good in defense for your ships.

The Orion or Hecate destroyers would be good for your mobile base of operations. They are large, well armed, well defended, carry dozens/hundreds of fighters, and are capable of years of independant operations. However neither is capable of capital ship construction.

It might (stress the might) be possible to attatch a Sub-Space generator to an Arcadia station (which would provide you will all the necessary abilities). Unfortunately, it'd be slow, unmaneuverable, prone to breakdown, and extremely dangerous.

Actually, scratch that. I think I might have what you need.

The Ganymede facility (specially modified) should fulfill the requirements for your base of operations. It has the ability to build and repair vessels, is already mobil (a lot more safely than if I modified the Arcadia), and could be given a state-of-the-art defense system.

So, my recommendation:

A Fenris or Leviathan, depending on your mission profiles, and a modified Ganymede facility for your mobile command base

Well Seed is currently located on its own planet of Beta Pictoris I (full claim, Protectorate of Seed, warm temperate ocean, Beta Pictoris system) which was original claimed by Xanthal but given to me. All Klonor ships use Sub-Space for faster than light speeds reaching 1 light-year per minute. For travel between systems without Jump-Node connectivity they use an independant Gravity/Time distorter to reach speeds of 1 light-year per hour. All Klonor capital ships and freighters are equipped with inter-system sub-space drives, however, fighter sized craft are only equipped with intra-system sub-space drives.

1 light-year per hour is slower then 1 light-year per minute... i think you have it backword.

It's designed as a pure Heavy Fire ship. Nothing but pure firepower. There are many situations that call for nothing else.

The Galactic Alliance (started by me) was the largest space alliance ever. over 75 nations at it's height. It worked purely for the scientific advancement and military defense of its member nations. Unfortunately, some ***holes were being a pain in my *** and making my NS life a living hell (all OOC) so I withdrew from the GA. Once I did more than half the members left in less than a week. it's been dead for a while.
