The offhand remark to a reporter for an opposition newspaper spread rapidly through the Floating World, causing a collective loss of confidence and burstign the AmphX-led stock market bubble.

As more than half the national GDP was wiped out in a single day, the government announced that it would no longer be able to pay for the contract to deliver food to the poor people of Floating World. A famine is feared, as Floating World has no ready source of food.

ESAA announced today that it had recieved government funding for 2 new projects, the FSW-16 and the XL. ESAA's stock is expected to rise as investores await a record profit.

Agracultured announced that it will step in and ship food at below cost to aid the people affected by Floating World's bubble.

NENYA, Friday - The Imperial Trade Conglomerate today released it's revised Y (yearly) profits, income, and expenditure.

The figures are likely to surprise some, as they far outstrip last years performance; this is largely due to the income via the Rlh4trillion loan to the IDF. That loan was, of course, repaid in full just over two weeks ago. The return from that loan has pushed ITC profits up slightly, by a factor of 1.4.

ITC profits are now estimated (for the fiscal year) to be at around Rlh7.4trillion, with expenditure at a cool Rlh4.212 trillion (up four trillion Relhames on the previous fiscal year), and income at Rlh11.612 trillion. The rise in income is due to several factors; contracted development by Rivette, and collected tax from that corporation; contracted development by Imperial AI Systems, and collected proceeds from that corporation; and the IDF loan of Rlh4trillion.

The ITC did warn, however, that it is still too early to consider these estimates as 'concrete'.

ITC stocks are expected to jump considerably over the coming days with this news.

FERRUSSIA - Continued lack of NSSX response on the proposed exchange of the Ferrussian Coalition of Defense Agencies (FCDA) brought a lull in trading earlier today. Trade of the stock reversed course, with the price dropping over 6 points before FCDA officials made an official announcement at the FNSE in Moscow.

The delay in approval of the stock was attributed by the FCDA as "a slight delay in bureaucratic procedure" and "the approval is expected within the next week."

The announcement, while rather vague, brought a recovery of 5.5 points, sufficently repairing the damage to only half a point. While the market seems to be satisfied with this explanation for now, experts predict there will be increased backlash if approval is not achieved in the next few days.

NENYA, Friday - Stocks continued to fall Friday, with the Simulated EOTED Stock Market (SESM) losing some 4% of its total value. ITC shares, interestingly, remained fairly stable, but the services industry has been hard-hit following the loss of Menelmacar as a major trading partner.

Concerns about the integrity of the market in general have partially been allayed, however, as the impact on the market as a whole has been somewhat less severe; INN stocks remain fairly stable, despite up-and-down fluctuations over the past few days. Rivette MI Corp stocks rose by 1%, possibly due to the opening of new markets for the Rivette Fancy and the Rivette Rotor IntlV1...

Xaosis Enterprises stocks have begun to rise slowly but gradually, following rumors that the Company is about to recieve a consulting position with ICEP, a new economic alliance that already includes the Imperium of Melkor Unchained and several other economic powers. While Xaosis spokesmen have made no comment about the status of their position in ICEP, it is believed that the Company will recieve a non-voting advisory position on the ICEP board of directors.

While Xaosis stocks are still recovering from the failure of several company branch offices, the business' stocks have begun to stabilize and grow steadily for the first time in a month. This is probably do to renewed investor confidence following the decision by Xaosis to negotiate with Tersanctus to open a Branch Office there.
