My youngest sister is 16 years younger than me; when she was born, I was 15. I'd take her out, and people would think she was mine. She's more of a child to me than a sister, really, and I really did help raise her (until I moved out). Trust me; I've had my share of baby experience. That's what kicked it off, really - when I moved out, and realised that I didn't have a baby anymore. Leaving her was harder than leaving anyone else in my family... I mean, she's my child. I put her to bed every night. My arms feel so empty without her, as cliché as that sounds.

And my boyfriend loves her to death, which doesn't help - because he's so good with her. Man, he'll make an amazing daddy someday. He doesn't think so - but he still has growing to do. One day, I'll convince him.

Edit: I just realise how off that math sounds. She's fifteen and a half years younger than me, so sometimes she's 16 years younger, sometimes 15.

Right now, he swears he'll never have kids - but I know that one day, he'll want them. I can tell just watching him interact with my little sister. He's even admitted that if he knew we'd have a kid like her, he'd definitely want children. :p It'll happen soon enough.

It's okay, though. Due to my Native American ancestry, my skin turns reddish when I tan, so people often think I have a constant case of sunburn. Hah, the joke's on them! I'm a bit of an odd mix, really. Mostly Irish, followed by Scottish, and then English, German, French, and Scandinavian (this last one being very little and from a long ways back --- we're not sure if it's Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian, though we know it's definitely not Finnish). And to think that before I was six years old, my hair was platinum blonde... I'm quite tempted to dye it and see how it looks on me at this age.

In my opinion you deserved a significantly higher preliminary position (I would've helping with that but I'm indecisive), and you have fantastic photography skills, they put my utilitarian pictures of train stations and pipes that turn out okay for no reason to shame.

I've found that I can edit out some of my shonky camera skills and lack of ability to frame a shot with enough cropping and rotating. Which I can actually do, of course it results in some of the pictures being in 2.30:1 :D
