Meh, he's this boy that I am good friends with and also madly in love with. Last time we hung out he drove me home, and I decided to go ahead and ask him if I could kiss him (yep, thats me! Just looked at him for a while and was like "Can I kiss you?) He said he didnt know how to respond. I laughed, and told him it was a yes or no question. He said "it depends" I asked upon what it depended. He didn't answer, but instead said I could kiss him on the cheek. Earlier he'd been talking about how he was a dork, and said he'd be a dork who was blushing the whole way home now. I reassured him I was the bigger dork in this situation.

Last night was the first time we hung out since that incident. So I've made it painfully obvious where I stand, and I am now waiting for him to make a move, if he wants to. But I doubt he does, cuz last night we were on the porch by ourselves, and it woulda been the perfect opportunity to make a move if he were going to, and he didn't. Hence why I need to get over him. (Besides the fact that I've had a crush on him forever).

And that, my dear P, is who Teh Boy is.

My two dear friends arrived in Philly from Tennessee yesterday!!!!

Last night we went out with Teh Boy (they'd never met him in person but talked to him online and on the phone, so they wanted to meet). We ate dinner at a diner, which was very exciting to them because apparently they don't have diners in Tennessee. Who knew?! And then we went and saw a movie. It was fun, especially because my best friend has the greatest reactions, so when something suspenseful would happen she'd literally sit on the edge of her seat. When something sad happened, her hands cupped her face, or she'd hold me hand (nearly cut off circulation too!) Teh Boy and I had already seen the movie, so half the fun for us really was watching her reaction to the film. It was a really great night, though nothing happened with Teh Boy, even tho I was alone on the front porch with him to say goodbye. I really should try and get over him :/ Oh well.......

Its been about 2 weeks.

We live pretty close, actually, but we both work, and our schedules seem to always overlap so we're rarely free on the same day. In a few weeks we'll both be going back to our respective universities in different cities.

Hopefully I'll be glad to be single when the ladies from Tennessee and I go out tonight! At any rate, I know I'll be glad to have my friends, and thats what is most important.

Nutty Chocolate Tiffin (Recipe adapted from one in Sainsbury's magazine)
Ingredients: 8oz unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons golden syrup, 8oz quality plain chocolate (50-60% cocoa solids), 300g pack rich tea biscuits, 2oz blanched hazelnuts, chopped, 2oz dried apricots, chopped, 2oz dessicated coconut.

Cut butter in cubes, break up chocolate, and place, together with the syrup in a heatproof glass bowl over a pan of not quite simmering water. Let it all melt together gently while you prepare the other ingredients. Crush the biscuits to crumbs. You can either do this in a food processor or by putting the biscuits in a polythene bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Either way, it speeds up the whole process if you roughly crumble them with your hands first. Now just stir all the ingredients together till well mixed. Pour into a 8" square cake tin, lined with clingfilm. Let it set in a cool place.
