Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera, so you'll have to wait in suspence to see my beautiful visage until I figure out how to upload "normal" photographs or pencil drawings.

Although, I can give you a taste: I have dark hair... fair to medium complexion... wear glasses... average build... tells you a lot, right? ;)

Why, thank you! Personally, I prefer mucking about in whatever falls out of my wardrobe first, but I thought I should make an effort just for one day...liked your pic too :D
You must be part male at heart... I tend to do the same thing. :p

haha...thats what I tend to do. I think the only ones I really accuratly picture are PM, Glitz, Kanabia, and Peech, and only those because they looked similar to what I had imagined. The rest, I tend to go with my mental image
I don't form mental images of NSers. I just read threads very carefully... eventually people tend to betray small tidbits about their appearance, and I preserve them in memory and put them together to form complete pictures.

Although, I admit mental images do help things somewhat... for instance, when someone is being particularly annoying, just imagine them in a particularly compromising position... it's surprisingly satisfying.

... snip ...
Hahaha... classic.

You're mean.

...Can we make it a faded primary school crush instead? I can have more puerile fun with that. High school crushes are all angsty and lame and not much fun at all.

*kicks sand into your eyes and pulls your skirt up over your head*

*runs away* teehee! :p
Well, first off.....I'm not mean, I just thought you already knew :(

Second, I'm assuming that "primary school" here and "primary school" there are two completely different concepts, so we'll roll with your concept, because I don't know about you my dear, but I wasn't even at the infatuation stages with the opposite sex during my run in primary school.

And what's wrong with high school crushes? My current boyfriend...erm, fianc....erm.....boyfriend was a guy I had a huge crush on in high school. So there. Not all angst. Dreams do come true *starry eyes*

Next time you kick sand in my eyes, I'll break your nose like I did to that Nick kid in preschool.

Good on you... I actually was never particularly into the 'outdoorsy' activities. It's nice occasionally to take a walk in the nearby parks or some such thing, but you won't catch me playing sports or rafting down Niagara Falls in a barrel. Also, most of the rest of the cool pictures from that round (ie the ones NOT of me) can be found in my Misc (http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b65/theatrefunk/Misc/) folder, probably in the "people other than me" subfolder (http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b65/theatrefunk/Misc/people%20other%20than%20me/), in my photobucket. Actually, no—rudeness is little more than a poor attempt to conceal insecurity and low self-esteem*, a little bit like aggression. While I can't say I'm a totally secure person, because no-one ever is, I'm quite secure enough that I don't need to condescend to the levels of insults and violence just to prove to myself that I have the illusion of control.

I was just recalling your statement in another thread that you didn't want people to compliment you because it made you feel uncomfortable... and as for the small print, you set it up for me, really. :p

Oh....okay, well then, I appreciate it. I didn't know you read that other thread, so I was seeing this coming out of left field. Agreed on the point of rudeness and aggression....though I often fall into the retaliatory trap of slamming people back when they hit a sensitive spot. :p

Me and my husband after the entire wedding was over, and we'd already officially left. One of my favorite wedding pictures because it wasn't posed, and we both have natural smiles instead of the ones you get after the photographer's been telling you to smile for two stinking hours and your smile muscles hurt. Actually, I posted in that thread at least twice. You responded to one of my posts as well.

One of the disadvantages of having a photographic memory is that nobody ever knows what you're talking about....

As for the retaliatory trap... that's also something to avoid. It may be counter-intuitive, but sometimes the best defence is just to walk away and ignore him or her; even if he or she does succeed in hitting a weak or sensitive spot, you won't be listening. Simply avoid that sort of person, or better yet, confront the sensitive areas, ask yourself why you lose control when those nerves are hit, and try to find an objective solution to the problem.

(If I hadn't posted them earlier I'd try to make you guess what subjects I'm studying at uni... ;))

Chances are I didn't really pay attention to the name of who I was responding to...I have this habit of just memorizing peoples' signatures, or at least the layout of them, so most of the time I know if I'm replying to a friend of mine based off of the signature. Otherwise, if I have no reason to respond one-on-one (like this), there's not a lot that pulls attention to the name of the poster for me. This time around, I'm sure to remember your name and that we talked. But any time before this? Nah, probably not.

I know that feeling, do you also have the thing where you all of the sudden remember entire instant message conversations from over 3 years ago, I mean really remember exactly what was said?

Also, does it annoy you to re-read a book that you have read before because your brain is like 4 sentences ahead word for word....

You mean most people don't read posts carefully? That must explain why everyone ignores me... I'm in the habit of writing very long, drawn-out posts, especially in role-plays. I guess that most people look at the first line, the last line, the signature, the number of posts, and then respond—much like speed-reading novels. :p

Yes...I do. At times strange things I never thought I'd remember suddenly pop up from 14 or 15 years ago. I suddenly remember every detail of trips taken at age five and conversations held at age ten. Re-reading books... for some reason my brain has stored the details of every single book I've ever read, and that is highly annoying. Especially with mysteries where my brain is screaming "The butler did it!" when I've only re-read the title and first page.

Greetings, fellow weirdling. ;)

oh, thank God, I thought I was the only one. The other day a conversation popped into my head, it wasn't even important, nor did it have anything to do with anything, but I remembered it word for word. I was so mad, why the heck can I remember that stuff and not recite pi into like the 400th number?

I never can remember anything useful, I think it's because I try to turn off my memory so I don't remember stupid stuff and then I can't remember anything. :( (except apparently conversations from when I was 4 with the kid at the grocery store)

No no no, I read posts carefully, I just don't pay careful attention to who says it. If I'm involved in multiple strains, I'll look at names before I respond, but rarely throughout a thread do I have a habit of checking names on every single post, that's the point I was trying to make.

Though, there are some times that, depending on the topic, if it is a long post from somebody I don't really like, I will just skim it, or check the reactions of others.....but that's just laziness, and I don't do it often.

Ah, there we differ. I never try to 'turn off' my memory, because everything is useful in some way. At least, if you try you can always find some kind of purpose for it. There are no stupid questions, as far too many first-grade teachers have said. ;)

I turned 18 not too long ago, and I look young (much younger than most 18-year-olds), too. My family's full of "late bloomers"... We grow slowly, and we never really look our age (my dad's almost 56 and he looks 40).

I think you look around 16 too, but I am terrible at guessing ages. I look young (especially in that pic), which is funny because my girlfriend is often mistaken for 18 or older. Someone once thought she was my older sister.

Which is really wierd cause she's from Columbia and i'm half Japanese.

But yeah, I'm 16. I might post an older looking picture if I can find one.

I suspect that your troubles are due to other teenagers perceiving you as nerdy and outspoken - unfortunately, the ordinary high school student just does not seem to appreciate these traits, instead focusing on athleticism and conformity to social norms. They don't know what they're missing out on, of course! :)

Just wanted to make sure we weren't going to have any problems. I've lost respect from a lot of people I considered really cool because they decided that just because I had a lot of friends in middle school and high school, I must be the biggest condescending bitch in the world. scary thought isn't it? I really wonder if it was just my high school...I mean, I hated most of my class up untill senior year (well, the class hated itself in general), but even with my friends in other grades, they were in all the "groups"..then snr year I just kinda became friends with all these random people in my grade.

But it really does come off as that is something really weird...hell, even my female friends were rude about it at times saying things like the popular girls only talked to me because I was a good looking guy...and I still don't really believe I'm that good looking, and I don't think any of my friendships were THAT shallow.

Well I don't really care what I look like, and it dosn't seem to affect people's opinions of me. And my girlfriend (who is really good-looking) likes how I look, so its fine. And I've gotten into casino's and clubs even though I look young. I guess most of my friends look old enough.

And my grandfather kept growing until he was 21, and he grew to be 6 foot 6 inches. I figure that with any luck, I'll be around one or two inches taller than he was. (Right now, at 16, I'm five six) :p

Fixed.

For some reason I tend to like similar traits in females that I can find in myself: dark (esp. black) hair, glasses, nerdiness, creativity, a sense of humor, intelligence, and of course modesty... ;) no idea why. I'm odd that way, I guess.

Funny how these things work. In my area most 14- and 15-year-olds are taller than me (I'm about 172cm right now, although I'm apparently expected to top 180cm based on heredity), but when I actually talk to people they mistake me for about 18 or above... when I'm neither. Of course, I've always been a bit small for my age—in 2nd grade people thought I was in kindergarten, for instance, even though I was learning algebra by that time.

1: That wasn't nice. :p

2: I don't care what they look like in that sense, so long as they're nice (and not stupid).

3: Yeah, it's kinda screwy. I mean, my family is full of tall people, but we all grow so fricking slow, you know. We're above average until we get to about 19, and then we start to really grow. My brother was the same height as my dad (5'8") until he was almost 19; now he's 21 and about 6'1". I'm 5'10", and based on heredity, I should at least be 6'2" by 20; possibly 6'3" by 21.

One thing that's cool about the gradual growth is that we're fully proportionate... That means no super-long legs and a short torso with stretchy arms. We're just big. :p
