Black fire burst around her fingertips, and as usual, a vodka materialized from the flames. She leant her head back and took a sip, then meandered over to the window, out of the way.

For some reason, the phrase was stuck in her head. "Follow your dreams, love." Noire mumbled it to herself.

It was another clear night; the moon reflected its pathway across the water. The stars reminded her of something.

*She turned to a noise and caught a dark light off the face of the other woman, Noire. She stared for a moment and then brought up her notebook, the inverted colors flickering across her face were a fleeting image, but she could capture some of it in the greys of charcoal, it would be better if she had watercolors but she wasn't ready for that yet*

Noire sighed and leant on her elbows on the windowsill, oblivious to the others in the club.

Dreams. I'm beginning to believe I've run out of them.

She smiled faintly at her reflection in the glass. They'd come to her, or she'd come to them. Either way, they'd be found. She took another sip from her bottle, the usual night, the usual thing, the usual place.
