Yes, Minister is one of the best political satire comedies I have ever seen, along with Yes, Prime Minister.

That sucks. Maybe he didn't realise how much it meant to you? Or perhaps you should have told the rest of your friends? So that they would have understood and changed the day. Perhaps there was a reason Callum wasn't bothered. Hell, I don't know. I don't really have any friends left myself.
