ok, i've started thinking about what i'm gonna do for my 18th birthday, it's not for another 6 months or so but meh, i wanna do something really special for it, anybody have any ideas?

i was thinking about going on holiday with my friends and we do keep talking about going back to Belgium so that might actually be a possibility lol

I spent my 21st with my gf, but had no party caus i was in a completely different country to my mates...so a bit :( and a bit :D

But 18th is the last birthday that matters really.

i'm too poor for weekend cruises, if i can drive by then a weekend in a hostel in France or Belgium or the Netherlands will be my best bet of a holiday, but it'll be a cold, wet, windy November weekend so i'm not so sure

Thankfully, Abbott Pharmaceuticals is coming to the rescue (At least, I believe it's Abbott.. might be Glaxosmithkline) and is paying for a cruise and small event for the memebrs of the Illinois Prevention Community Planning Group, which would happen on my birthday. Since we have a rather large say in the Illinois Department of Public Health's policies in regards to HIV Prevention and Care Management, it would be a good investment for them to try and buy us out :D I'm a crooked bureaucrat already.

Anyway, after that i'll be spending two weeks in San Francisco as a birthday present (Also as a working thing) from a friend. Will be working a couple sessions at the National Minority AIDS Council's HIV Prevention Leadership Summit, which is from the 30th of July to the 3rd of August, we'll get there the 27th and leave about the 10th - I got nice VIP Orchestra seat tickets to see Wicked :D

Me and my mates went camping, we held this dumb little cerimony and it was all fun and games until someone fell into the fire..... that was the worst birthday ever.

Erm, my mates drove all the way around France last summer (from England). They were 18/19.

I spent my 21st birthday (July 21, 2003) trying to get home to Wisconsin from Ohio when my car broke down.. ended up having to abandon it in Indiana and me and my friends got a ride the rest of the way from some Irish guy on his way from New York to Chicago, went about 5 hours out of his way to take us all the way home, arrived at about 2am on the 22nd.

My 18th birthday was the first day of the very first Gathering of the Juggalos, which consequently was the same event I was driving home from on my 21st birthday, only that one was the fourth. And I'm turning 23 on the first day of this year's as well...

My 18th was a week or so before my birthday because everyone was pissing off to various universities around the country a few days later. I got pretty drunk like any other party, but it wasn't all that exciting.
