Even though I got into a debate I didn't know much about without thinking, couldn't be assed trying to carry on, waited until you got caught up with someone else and backed out slowly. heheh.

Sorry if I sound judgmental, but I've seen some of the pics of farm murders, and they ain't pretty. :(

It is true that aweful things happen there at times, but that is true most anywhere in the world, including here in the States, Western Europe, you name it. The point is that life there is not so terribly different from here if you go there, are kind and treat people with respect and use your head, you can be relatively safe.

Oh yeah, apology accepted.

I don't suppose you are referring to someone that has a name that starts with an "L" and ends with an "etila".

to a certain extent, yes. as much love as i have for letila, he jumped into being anarchism's knight errant a little too fast. but that's ok, i'd hate to see what i looked like when i was his age and first latched on to anarchism myself.

Well, I'm some combination of Swiss, German, English, Scotch-Irish and possibly Scandenavian, but prior to meeting my wife I'd never been farther out of the country than Tiawana and Brownsville Mexico. Since I met her, I've been to Croatia, England, France, Austria, Poland, Slovonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Czek Republic, Slavakia, South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique all in about 3 years. What a ride.

WOW....

I'm so jealous...

The difficult thing is trying to remember... you KNOW that no matter what you type, you'll think of another two as soon as you've finished...

Dempublicents, Upward_Thrust, Bottle, Willamena, Shaed, Aust.

Post-Humous recognition to Iakeokeo.

I just know I'll be back....

Yay! I made a list *dances and gives Grave a happy-smiley-face cookie* :D
And hands out smiley cookies to the other people who mentioned me (I feel so loved :D)

Ok... list... hmm, I should just go steal my list from the other two similar threads...

Respected debaters:
Bottle
Grave_n_idle
Demipublicents

Respected jokers:
Lunatic Goofballs
Legless Pirates
UpwardThrust
Torching Witches
<hmmm... there should be more names here! How strange>

People who get a mention because I want to have their children (or at least, to take part in the actions that would *lead* to having their children :p :fluffle: ) :
Sdaeriji
The Fairy Tinkerbelly
Gaeltech
Myrth
Tactical Grace
Refused Party Program (see? how I edited? and added you? and how it's alllllll good now?)

And also, people from the first two categories fit into the latter one... I'm just too lazy to work out a more clear layout.

I'll come back and add more once I've finished reading the whole thread

I respect so many nations, but ill keep my list brief. Most of these people, none of you will know.

DerFuhrer Dyszel- the strongest person in NS
Westwind- A great leader
Equility- ditto
Pope Hope-what he said
Crazy Girl-aforementioned reasoning applies

There are so many others, these are just the people who most deserve it, among some others:

Grub
Nooterland
Unistrut
Anyone I would call a 'defender' would at least be at the beginning of it
The game mods? ;)

Anyways, keep up the great work guys and dolls; my respect is hard to earn, but you all certainly have it.
Der Fuhrer Dyszel
16-12-2004, 09:43
My true respect goes to those who go beyond the gameplay of this game and become more then just a fellow nation. Among those people are people who should greatly be respected, and I know I do not only speak for myself when I mention them.

Reploid Productions: *raises glass* For her services inside this game and outside. Thank you for taking care of those assholes who thought it was funny to mock Dante after his accident, and for being there for me with your jokes and advice. You deserve great respect in this game.....your job was not easy.

Siggi: Well, the old man has not been around much lately, but he deserves a lot of respect, not only for maintaining one of the oldest and well known defense organization in this game (the RRA for those who do not know), but he has been a supportive friend. I respect him for helping not only my love but me. He knew what to say and when to say it, not to mention, his humor is pretty interesting.

Callisdrun: My only loyal RP'er. I respect his services to my region and his friendhip with me. He has been there through the times of Dante. I respect anyone who offered help to Dante. I only wish that you were not so far left wing! ;)

Adyndril: Well, our nations have not collided much in this game thus far, but he certainly is to be respected for being an astonishing friend. He went out of his way to message me, and since then, our friendship his grown. The fact that he took time to help someone so involved in the hells of RL is an action to be commended! Thank you for being there for me!

Crazygirl (CG): Probably one of the very few people within this game that I believe every word she ever says, although we have never met. She deserves to respect more then most people in this game. She deserves credit for all the time she dedicated to defending in the RRA, ADN, etc.... And for her assistance, people time after time badmouthed her, tried to ruin her reputation, flamed her, harrassed her, and so on! SHE DESERVES RESPECT! She is the only person who truly went out of her way for her friends in this game. She saw beyond the name on the screen, and made friends with fellow nations. I respect her more then anyone, because she saved lives in this game. She didn't just talk to someone, she actually prevented deaths. She was the only one who Dante opened up to in life.....and I really must respect her for that. No one has been able to do that but her; not even I could get Dante to open up. Furthermore, I respect her for listening to everything. Even when she has company visiting her, she is willing to place them aside for the moment to help a friend in need.....that deserves respect. She is there for her friends and I can really not ask for a better friend. Even if we never meet, I am glad we got to know each other.....she is great person, and a respectable person. Despite what happens in her life, she reaches out to a friend in need, and pulls them back onto their feet. She helped turn around a broken man's life; preventing that man from ending his life numerous times, offering him advice when he needed it, and listening to him when he wanted to talk, not to mention joking.....boy did those two joke! And she reached out to me even. She was there for me when Dante died. She listened to me and did her best to offer me a shoulder to cry on although it was only through words on a screen, but it helped more then anyone can imagine. She stayed to talk to me when I needed it, and even brightened my mood when I desperately needed it. If anyone deserves respect in this game, it is definately CG.
Der Fuhrer Dyszel
16-12-2004, 10:04
Furthermore, I think Dante deserves respect. If if he is gone in this game and real life, he deserves respect.

Dante lived one of the most horrible unimaginable lives ever. He suffered severe abuse as a child and fatal injuries just recently. Even through the intense hell of his life, he fought. He fought and he never gave up, although he was tempted to many times.

And he loved like no other I have seen. He loved those he cared about with all his heart. And he spoke very kindly and passionately about those he cared about. He was that loving and caring, that his only true wish in life was to be a father. He did not want anything more then to be a father.....a daddy.

Dante was also dedicated to this game. Even with the hell in his life, he still remained in the RRA fighting to defend against invasions. He stayed there and defended time after time. He wanted to help the helpless in this game, and that is how he did it.

I believe Dante deserves a lot of respect, but not in game, out of game respect. NS does not care about those who protect their regions (or so I have noticed), but they should respect a man who went out of his way to help the little guy, despite all the shit in his life.

And even if no one else in this game will respect him, then I will! I loved Dante, and I respected him so much!

This is a very misleading way to put the question: FOR or AGAINST?
I'm not for or against gay sex, or *gayness* in general.
To put it that way, it's more liking asking him if he's gay or not (didn't think he was).

For gay rights or against them would be a better rephrasing.

The book was written, I believe, by followers of George Michael's career, so "autiobigodraphy" is a misnomer. The man himself certainly existed, there is evidence that he did. However, I would argue that was merely a man with inspirations and not the son of Dogs.

Actually, it wasn't bad. Yes, there is a risk of car-jackings so you don't drive at night, but touring Kruger Park(wild lions, elephants, zebra, jaguar, water buffalo, giraffe etc amazing) for 4 days was my favorite 4 days of all my traveling. Oh and the resturant at the Royal Swazi Hotel was probably the best I've ever ate at.

In terms of abject poverty, Mozambique was the worst. Its capital city has over 2 million people that live in cardboard shacks.
A friend of mine (IRL :) ) lives in Zimbabwe, and he's actually going to Mozambique for a few days over Christmas break with his family for a beach vacation. They're chartering a private jet for just the 4 of them, it's only like 200 bucks a head. Zimbabwe's economy is so insanely broken that even though his parents are only teachers, since they get paid in American dollars they're fabulously wealthy over there. Then they come back to the States, and it's back to being an average middle class family. Zim is definately really bad in terms of poverty too. I think it's something like half the population is starving, because Mugabe's stockpiling all the food until the elections to make sure people vote for him. The man's totally insane. Foreign journalists aren't allowed in the country anymore, there are only state-run newspapers and TV stations. He's got the country in the palm of his hand.

First, let us be perfectly clear. George did not write during his whole career. Many of his ideas were not even his own. Worshipping the man is completely missing the point of what he was about.

That sounds about right. Most of the Mozambiquen coast is beautiful, but not aroung Maputu. It looks dirtier than the Mississippi river. The Gov. just doesn't have the resources to manage the waste products of its people there. It is sad. Yes, you can live like a king there if you get paid U.S. currency. Well, yeah Marion has grown quite a bit in the past 14 years. They did away with most of the property taxes there and boosted sales taxes. Development exploded after that. Ironically the population is still only about 14,000.

The Salukis should be really good this year. They have had a couple disappointing losses so far and a new coach, but they have a the conference POY returning and two great recruiting classes in a row.

I am not so sure it increased commerce. I think it just diluted the shoppers.

But at least there's a Red Lobster nearby now.

I remember the tornado of 1980 when it destroyed half the town. Half of Walmart, half of Kroger, and half of just about everything east of I 57 along 13 all the way out to rout 166.

Yay! I made a list *dances and gives Grave a happy-smiley-face cookie* :D
And hands out smiley cookies to the other people who mentioned me (I feel so loved :D)

Ok... list... hmm, I should just go steal my list from the other two similar threads...

Respected debaters:
Bottle
Grave_n_idle
Demipublicents

Respected jokers:
Lunatic Goofballs
Legless Pirates
UpwardThrust
Torching Witches
<hmmm... there should be more names here! How strange>

People who get a mention because I want to have their children (or at least, to take part in the actions that would *lead* to having their children :p :fluffle: ) :
Sdaeriji
The Fairy Tinkerbelly
Gaeltech
Myrth
Tactical Grace

And also, people from the first two categories fit into the latter one... I'm just too lazy to work out a more clear layout.

I'll come back and add more once I've finished reading the whole thread

Yay for cookies... but how is it I got "Respected Debater" status, but not "actions leading to children" status.

Damn, my being English isn't paying off...

Wow, this is the second time I've had to thank Meadsville for praise that I (perhaps) don't really deserve.

You have my earnest thanks... and your contributions have been appreciated. (I seem to remember you were one of our 'Big Guns' in the Homosexual Sin war against the Neo_Cannen empire, right?)

Also, Tactical Grace and Legless Pirates.

I always respected every poster who debated in a clean manner and didn't resort to personal attacks. I respected every poster who actually took the time and care to look up and research their facts no matter what side of the fence they were on. I respected every poster who had a good sense of humor and never took themselves serious and made the rest of us smile.

There are too many of you to name. I know by pure error on my part I would by mistake leave some out, because there were that many of you.

I just stopped by to wish every one a Merry Christmas or whatever holiday you might celebrate this time of year (if any)

Peace & Joy to all of you in the coming new year.

May we see more peace in 2005 then we did in the world in 2004.

Stephanie.

A Texan Hotrodder is simply a Texan who participates in hotrodding. It wasn't one of my nation names that was meant to be a clever witticism or a joke. I do have some nations with joke names, though. I actually gave some of them away to Tuesday Heights a few days ago.
