How can they do their job if Saddam Hussein stonewalling every step of the way? Yea that's right! He stone walled the process more times than not. He let them investigate spots but he wanted to know where they are going even though they are supposed to be spot inspections.
And THERE WERE NO WEAPONS! This may come as a huge surprise to FOX junkies, but the inspections were right! Hans Blix was right! And Salim died FOR NOTHING! Not for the liberation of his brothers; they still live in fear, but with a more powerful despot than the previous one.

Nazi Fox News

Corporate collapse after Kerry tragedy

John Kerry's election to US president sent Haliburton stocks crashing overnight. One unnamed stockbrocker said "They just keep on falling until they stopped at $1.00. It was a slaughter, never to be seen before!". On news of the collapse of the Haliburton stocks to a record low, Haliburton tried to suspend trade in it's stock on the NYSE, but it was too late.

People on the streets were using their Haliburton stock certificates as cigarette paper and it was being shredded to make cheap confetti for the Democratic parties being held all over US.

Finally Someone else unafraid to call Faux Nazi Propaganda what it is!

"Everyone"??????

Do you mean every other idiot out there that doesn't have a clue concerning American history? Why don't you morons do a little reading before you write this blather.

W was not the first person to win the election without the popular vote. It's called the Electoral College. I don't think that they were talking about that. Bush won by a partisan 5-4 majority on the suppreme court.

Kerry is the best thing that has happened to America after that lying mongrel Bush, Who I might add took my countrymen into a war thousands of miles away. But don't get me wrong, we toppled Saddam but Bush had no idea what to do afterward and which led to thaousands of people dying.

Bush is just plain simple and I think the majority of the American people are finally realising this , it will be good if kerry gets in.

Woo Hoo! ;)

eeeew... Why, my fellow liberals, would anyone accept to actually LIKING and not simply preferring kerry??

I actually like Kerry a lot. Based on prior actions (looked up from sources like the Senate website and CSPAN,) his moral outrage against vietnam after bravely fighting in it, his distinguished career as a prosecutor, his emphasis while in the Senate, on investigation and tracking down of corrupt money lines, both within our government and in terrorist activities, his ability to be outspoken even when unpopular (which the Republicans criticize him for, and then turn around and complain about being a political weathervane,) his slightly liberal social views, his nuanced reasoning ability (which gets chopped up and edited in order to craft it into a likeness of ambiguity,) and his expert debating skills, which are vital when communicating with recalcitrant allies.

In short, I am very satisfied with Senator John Kerry, and I think it's an abomination how his record has been misconstrued and how the media took most of their criticisms about Kerry directly from the Bush playbook.

truth is, he was neither the best would-be president of the primaries nor the most likely to be elected. I liked Dean better on Both Counts.

I do know that the 1st Gulf War was a UN mission! The UN Basically declared war on Iraq. To bad it wasn't smart enough to kick him out of power then but that is a different story.

That was not their mission. That one was our bad.

Take a look at this list again! How many of these operations have failed? Congo is still in Civil War. India and Pakistan are doing things themselves, Kosovo is still a hotbed.

So you think we shouldn't have gone to those places at all? They could have easily been genocides and full fledged war without the peacekeepers. As has been said before, you can't name a war that didn't happen.

This is true however, the UN has shown itself to be weak and indecisive as well as ineffective most of the time too.

But it has also proven itself to be very very useful. I'd never convince you of this, and it would take too long. Shortcomings are not the reason to condemn an organization that does so much for so many. (What about ALL the programs like UNICEF, and who do you think is working on aids in Africa?)

Your right! The UN isn't perfect but it is just as ineffective as the LoN! It can't do anything unless the nations cooperate and even then that is rare. The SCUN can pass all the resolutions they want but they have no means to enforce them. It is up to individual nations to enforce them and look how that turned out in regard with Iraq?

Whoa dude, it's been far more effective than the LON. It survived the cold war for goodness sake. World government is here to stay, and the UN is the best thing we have in this day and age. In regard to Iraq, we'll have no way of knowing how Iraq would have "ended" if UN sanctions and inspections continued. You can't call it a failure cuz Bush got impatient. The UN can't corral the US, but it gives the world a forum to debate their concerns on US policy. Sure it has no way to enforce resolutions... on paper. But there are these things called "international norms" and you don't wanna screw em'. What I'm saying is a counrty that violates UN resolutions isn't going to do to well in the international community. When every country in the world relies on international trade and cooperation (through the UN no less) you don't want to piss them off. Iraq learned that under UN sanctions. After 91' they didn't try NUTHIN. (nuthin, sadly, was still too much for Bush)

Oh Asssassins, you don't understand the rules very well do you.. First, I can call Bush a stupid moron who was appointed by the Supreme Court and not elected by the people and that is not flamebait or a flame. However if I were to call YOU or any other player of Nationstates that it would be. We only offer moderation to Nationstates members, so unless you can prove to me that the President has been hanging out on nationstates, I'm afraid you don't seem to understand the rules. There are a lot of people who believe Gore won the last election and that Bush stole it, I'm one of them! Given this is a wide spread popular belief, it can't be seen as flamebait. It's come up on the forums for a very long time. It's never been against the rules. So get with the program dude! :)
Outstanding, you do see through the mud. NOW take this very fine example, and SHOW US where and how my man CALLED ANYBODY a name! That is the whole reason I jumped on this. He opposed you, and used generalizations, BUT NEVER singled out any member, nor did he call any single member a name. Since it is now clear to you and all of us, that you understand, and there was no direct name calling it's time for your penance.

This is all nice, but it's all states that we already knew were going one way or the other. Ohio and Florida are the ones we need to watch.

As an Ohioan, I can say that we're pretty conservative. BUT we've lost some jobs, and Kerry was very good at capitalizing on that.

Also, keep in mind exit polls, and pre-election polls mean crap. We can all assume Texas is going for Bush, but until the actual ballots are counted it's all up in the air.

My prediction: Kerry will win two out of the Big Three swing states, and thus the election. Sad, really.

Plus, Californias a shoo-in (shoe-in?) for Kerry, so add, like, 54 or whatever to Kerry's total.

Of course, Bush has the back-up of the Right Wing Conspiracy, so expect martial law to be enforced if Kerry pulls ahead. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Ok i feel I have to make a point.

I will start by saying that at 10:15am this morning voted in the 13th Precint of Stark County, Ohio. I Voted for John F. Kerry.

Now having said that this goes out to all you non-americans with feelings about our elections. Yes the USA has a big impact on the world. But what happens domestically should stay with those that matter. I know you all don't like bush and I don't either but I must say I resent that any foreigner has anything to do with our election and a fair amount of americans do also. I really wish you would all would leave it the hell alone. Now I must say if I was looking north and saw Canada have an election, I'd just shrug and say its their busisness and let it go at that. Do you know why, regardless of what I read on the Internet or in Foreign(Canadian for this instance) Newspapers I do not fully UNDERSTAND your politics. Why is that? I don't live in Canada, I don't live in the same culture, I am not Canadian. I may have a bit of jist but I am by no means qualified to choose the candidate, vote for one or even say who would be best for the average canadian. And my guess is a lot of canadians would call me an arrogant american if i did profess that opinion if it ran contrary to their own. I could really try to understand and make a huge effort and i may gane some understanding but really why should it matter. Different Country, doesn't really affect me DIRECTLY. Since everything can affect everyone in someway no matter how big or small indirectly.

I believe myself to be a nationalist and patriot. I serve my country and State. but by no means do those opinions make me a brainless moron.

Have u seen the polls on CBS  Uh Oh. Looks like Bush is winning.

Last time it seemed that Gora was winning, we all knew the result and Adolfs election.

The cities still have to give their result. Exit polls are the only thing in the air. an dyes some redneck incest towns have allready results, but it is a result equal of their braincapacity: vague and non existant.

California will likely go for Kerry 60/40. 12 million voters expected. That's 7.2 million more for Kerry and only 4.8 for the shrub. Difference 2.4 more for Kerry

Yeah. While Bush overall has the lead in ASSURED votes (i.e. states that were definently going one way or the other) the swing states will be the deciders. PA looks like it's going to Kerry, FL and OH, still too close, though from what I've seen Bush has a minescule lead.

So, in summary

1) Electoral votes, minus the swing states, gives bush a small lead.

2) Still to close to call

3) FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Ack, must remain objective...

i had honestly thought kerry would win. stocks dumped on the thought kerry would win from wall street, too, starting at about 130 et.....but in reviewing so far...looks like bush is going to win. Florida isn;t being called because of 4-500,000 absentee, but only anout 180,000 are form heavily democratic areas, so everything rests on ohio......and who would've thought bush would be up by 1.9 million votes with 60% counted in the popular vote? this says if by some miracle kerry pulls it out, he will be utterly powerless in front of a republican congress, with repubs gaining majority in both houses slightly, apparently. pretty surprised, i bet a 12 pack of beer on kerry, too.

btw, i voted bednarik, libertarian candidate for pres, out of protest of kerry and bush, neither being acceptable.
