Arthur took a bite and then went into a closet to get a shirt. He threw the large t-shirt at her. Then took his plate into another room.

"You can change now. I will dine on this delicious cheesecake. Oh about the joke thing you know what I mean Candace. I don't want to get that far into a relationship yet.""

The battle raged on, before Prism remembered weaknesses of the two. "Sabbath, hit Surge with water!" Sabbath turned to Surge, and shot a blast of water, completely soaking him. Then, Prism grabbed the group, and made a circle of fire around them. He increased the size, drasticlly changing the temperature. This would hurt Legion's abilities to split himself.

Acillatem was hit with the lightning. He matched it with his own blast of electricty from his threads. Prism also set the walls on fire, heating things up. Sabbath used his powers to locate the real Legion, and began shooting blasts of fire at him. Maiden was urprised, but let the bullets hit him. Then, he lept at one of the Legion clones, and bit down on it's head. He then decapitated it.

ooc: I think TGS is waiting for your response in the vamp. RP, Breit ;)
The real legion jumped behind an upturned desk made for the barricade and mounted his chain gun on the desk as he let bullets fly at Sabbath. The desk was not fireproof, however, but Legion only needed it for a moment before he could switch cover.

Surge dodged out of Acillatem's bolt and smiled. "Not bad...no match for me, though," he smiled as he continued his lightning barrage on Prism and Acillatem.

Then, he was hit by water until he was soaked. He cursed under his breath as he pulled out two pistols and began to fire them at Maiden.

One of the Legion-Clones witnessed his other being eaten alive, and fired an RPG at Maiden, while another leapt onto Sabbath from the stairs.

"Thank you for the T-shirt. And by the way, I know what you're talking about!" Candice chuckled. "I also do not want to get that far into a relationship, however, it would be wrong to have you sleep on the couch. Also, just being close to you comforts me, Arthur." She smiled.

When he went to the oher room she changed into the T-Shirt. Despite the T-Shirt, her perfect body was quite visible. This is why the guys at school were such creeps.

Candice began to eat her cheese cake again.

She called out. "Arthur! I have changed, you can come back in. You have treated me so well, I wish I could repay you somehow. You are different than any guy I ever met." She smiled as she sat on the bed indian style eating her cheese cake.

"Are you loving this cheese cake as much as I am? They certainly have a wonderful chef."

Cancice was not even slightly away at how provocative she looked. She was a stunning girl, but was way too into the cheese cake to even think about it. Besides, she slept in T-shirts a lot.

Candice smiled at Arthur and thanked him again for everything he had done for her.

Maiden impaled the one Legion clone on his back, and then smashed the rocket away, which hit the side of the wall, making a large hole. Suddenly, Acillatem's army rushed in. Since most of Surge's forces were either in the abyss, had their guns jammed, or scared shitless, the soldiers moved in unopposed. "Maiden, that is the real Legion!" Sabbath yelled. Maiden lept on him from behind, and began pummeling him and slamming him into walls. Acillatem saw Surge was powerless, and hit him with a concussive blast that sent him into a wall. Then he grabbed him with his threads. "Still want to fight?"

"Nightwing! Bad Mojo! Teleport Surge and Legion before they die!" Diaphanous begged.

ooc: exciting fight ;) I would like to see that it in action lol Also, TG Breit.

Legion kicked Maiden off of him, as several other Legion's began to throw some punches into the zombie warrior.

Surge only spat blood in Acillatem's face. "You think I'm a coward? You'll regret ever getting on Enertro's badside..."

OOC- indeed exciting, a good movie scene, TG blastit

IC- "I think that Enertro will regret doing what he did to Prism. As for you, your coming with us. You will die." "Let him live." Prism said. "I want him captive. We can use him as bait for Enertro. Plus, I want to know where Enertro is." "Alright. You there, Legion. Stop fighting at once. If you don't, Surge dies." As Acillatem said this, Maiden ripped a clone in half, and then finally reverted to human form.

ooc: Don't save Legion or Surge, they got somethin waiting for them ;)
"Keep killing them, Legion. That's a direct order!" shouted Surge.

Legion, however, was still a very much a child. Immediately his clones morphed back into him. "It's a shame, Prism..." he said as Surge cursed aloud.

"Now then, victory seems to be ours. As expected. You are lucky. Prism has said he wants you alive. So we will be returining to my ship now." Sabbath doused Surge with some more water, just as a precaution. Then, he cast a spell that froze Legion in a cask of ice below his shoulders. They returned to the ship, and set up containers for Surge and Legion. They were made of a super strong metal. Surge was placed in water, Legion in a super cooled container. They both had enough room to breathe and move, but iether of them could get out. "Later, you will be interrogated. As of now, we leave." The Orion took off, and flew off to the hideout.

Arthur came back in and when he saw Candace, Arthur started to blush. He sat down right next to her. Eating some of the cheesecake he said. "Yes this cheesecake is wonderful, but not as much as you."

Arthur could not stop the urge and put the plate down. Then he moved over to Candace and kissed her. He loved every minute. Arthur hugged her and kissed her again.

The bright light pierced his eyes as the blindfold was snatched from his head. Mike squinted as he adjusted to the new surge of colours,

"Wh... where am I!!" he demanded without fully knowing who was in the vicinity,

"Remain quiet fool!" was the reply he heard before receiving a particularly heavy backhand across his face. For a moment he thought his head was starting to pound very loudly, but then he recognised the distinguishable sound of an anti-air flak gun blasting nearby.

He turned to see he surroundings and noticed a hooded individual setting up what looked like his camcorder on his tripod, "Hey, what the...?" he said before again receiving another strike.

The hooded man walked back to join his colleagues who were all wearing cowls, hoods and other forms of disguise. Mike noticed that the one who had struck him was holding an exceptionally large knife,

"This is a message to the Katigasnaian Royal family. You will withdraw all of your military and civilians away from the land which rightfully belongs to Galvania..." The flak gun seemed to grow louder, and then it suddenly stopped. The hood with the knife continued albeit with a subtle sense of uncertainty, "Failure to comply will result in the glorious deaths of your countrymen who are trespassing on sacred ground. And to prove that we are sane and of the truth..." The hood drew back his knife as his colleague pushed Mike's head forward,

"Oh GOD!!" He shouted.

Suddenly the opposing wall exploded inward. The dust settled to reveal Hatman standing in the gaping hole, "Not quite," he said before he tossed a sai toward the hood with the knife. The offending blade was ripped from his hand as the would-be executioner tried to complete his 'task',

"GET HIM!" he commanded and the rest charged. Hatman didn't appear to be that entirely perplexed and suddenly shot forward, knocking the entire group over. By now, the hood had retrieved his knife, but Mike had already seen has chance and bolted toward the door.

The knifeman focused his attention on the intruder and brought his blade down. However Hatman caught his wrist within the prongs of his sai and twisted against the joints in the attacker's arm. A blood-curdling snap rang out before Hatman backhanded him through the wall.

Now all that was left were the remaining gang...

ooc: Words of wisdom, under no circumstances give in to terrorism. It just perpetuates it. Not that I don't know this, but I've read a few books.:p

Diaphanous stopped shouting, however, one eye was solid black, one solid red. Several F-5 tornados were forming in various places on earth... places that usually had no tornados. The nuclear bombs began to get bigger and drop lower towards the earth.

"Surge and Legion are in trouble. I am reading them. There is fear! If we bring them up, this 'occult type' group with prism will find us. Their main intent is to kill you Enertro!" Diaphanous was furious and her black and red eyes began to spin like a slot machine as the mushroom clouds grew bigger.

"Please let me kill Prism! He was my friend! He is now my nemesis!" She turned to Nightwing, "If I project telepathy to Prism, will any of his flunkies be able to read it? Their main goal is to find us..."

Diaphanous looked at Enertro. "Their main goal is to torture and kill you Enertro. I refuse to let them touch my soul mate... my love. I told you before I would die for you, and I will!" She held him, unable to imagine a life without him. "I would rather be dead than have to live without you!" She kissed him passionately.

"Nightwing, you said there was someone who could train me to control my powers. If I could learn to nuke Prism and his gang... not to mention some other horrid Mojo going on..." Diaphanous looked at him. "Nightwing, please let this person train me, or I will be an out of control disaster! And the thought of anyone hurting my Enertro makes me so furious!" She screamed, her red and black eyes spinning again, the nukes going lower to the earth. "I need help!"

Candace was surprised when Arthur kissed her. Pleasantly surprised. They held each other and she melted into his arms. Their kisses became slow, passionate, and erotic. Her pulse was rising. She never felt like this before.

ooc- oh crap, dia's pissed at me.

IC- Prism walked over to the tanks where Surge and Legion were held. "Well well well, look at this. These are interesting circumstances. Do you like your cages? They're roomy, and impossible to break. And don't try contacting anyone. You won't be able to, even through telekenesis. Soon, you'll help us find out where Enertro is. For now, enjoy your stay, clowns."

ooc: The Ozone's gotta be gone with all those nukes...not to mention the mutations/radiation damage! ;)

"Oh, I'm quite comfortable," Surge replied sarcastically. "I'm glad you guys could give me a bath..."

"You shouldn't be...Enertro will find out, and he will have his revenge. We may not be in a position to kill you, but heed my words: Your a dead man," Surge growled. "You won't find Enertro, Enertro will find you and spit down your corpses."

Surge reclined in the pool with a confident smile.

Enertro was angry as well. "Dia, he wants to deal with me. Let them all deal with me...they'll meet their doom." Energy visibly coursed through his body. "Drop us off in Siberia, Nightwing," Enertro growled.

"And whoever can help Diaphanous," He added before realizing that Nightwing would probably want some sort of deal.

Guardian nodded at the image. "Where is he located? Fortuna, if it is allowed, you could call an early winter..."

The angel of justice suddenly turned, his striplike wings moving suddenly before floating calmly, before repeating the same movements.

"Humanity is in trouble..." he said. He had a good idea who it was, as well. Diaphanous, whom he had met before his rebirth.

"I'm sure Surge, I'm sure. Enertro may be powerful, but he is mortal. The four of us can kill him together. After all, he almost died when Gold Medallion tried to stick a sword in his head. But I saved him. But you never heard about that, I'm sure. I'm done talking with you for now Surge. And when I come back, you'll tell us all about where Enertro is now." Prism left the room, slighlty irratated, and slightly happy.

"NO Enertro. I will deal with this! I do not want to go to Siberia. I want to control these powers and get rid of Prism. If you want us to be in Siberia, please tell me why." Diaphanous looked at him. She was still raging at Prizm.

"We cannot contact anyone... they will find you. I will not let you die! I swore that to you, and I meant it!"

OOC:TG Hype

IC: Nightwing looked at Diaphanous. He said, "I cannot believe that your powers progressed that fast in six months. You probably wouldn't be able to get in contact with Prism anyway." Nightwing looked at the floor when Enertro said something about dropping a teacher for Diaphanous. Nightwing then said, "I don't know where she is. She disappeared about a month after the Battle of the Giants in Mexico. She was on a mission in Australia when this happened. If you want her I would have to send you there to find her."

"Siberia is where I keep my prototypes, my weapons. It is impenetrable, and I can unleash whatever I want on Prism..." Enertro growled before looking at Diaphanous. He sighed and embraced her.

"Dia, I don't want to lose you...we should both deal with this threat...together." He kissed her on the forehead, holding her tightly.

"Australia? Dia, I'll leave this decision to you. Surge and Legion are strong and can hold up to a lot of pressure..."

"I want to go find her. Can we please Enertro? I cannot bear the thought of losing you." Diaphanous began to cry.

"My powers are innate in people from my former planet. They grow with age, however, someone else has to teach you how to use them. Because I was dropped here at age 15, and the only survivor, I have had no mentor for this. Perhaps... maybe I should leave this planet if it is to survive." She said to both Nightwing and Enertro.

"Enertro, I will not lose you. I must find this person. I do not want to destroy the world, including both of us, my love. Please... try to understand." Diaphanous burried her face in Enertro's chest, sobbing.

OOC: TG Hype. I guess I should've said TG after I actually sent it. I don't think Katigasnia has terroists in it

IC: The roof of the building suddenly fell in. Haze came down through the roof. He saw Hatman and threw a ball of telekinetic energy at a group of gang members. He saw a masked man with a gun walk up behind Hatman. Haze yelled, "Watch out!"

Enertro frowned at Nightwing. "My love, you cannot leave us. We will go find this mentor and bring her with us. I'll make sure she teaches you to control your anger..." he kissed the top of her head as he stroked her long smooth hair.

Surge and Legion...remember your training...I know you will survive this...

"Actually, I did no about that...Enertro only let him...he could have blasted Gold Medallion to kingdom come..." Surge replied.

"Legion, how are you doing?" Surge asked the cold cage next to him, as soon as Prism left.

"I think I'm catching a cold," came Legion's voice.

"Good. You disobeyed me, so I'm glad something is teaching you a lesson," Surge growled.

ooc- Hype, did you get my TG?

IC- Acillatem, Sabbath, Maiden, and Prism walked into the room. "Well," Acillatem said, "who wants to be interrogated first? I think I'll go with Surge. He grabbed Surge with a whip and carried him over to a table. He strapped him down. Sabbth stood ready to apply more water if neded. "Alright Surge, here's a question. Where did Enertro go?"

Nightwing looked at the two and said, "I doubt that you can make Raven do anything. She is a strong umbrakinetic and witch. If you want to find her you will need me."

Omino and his master where still looking out over the ocean when a sudden explosion sounded off in the sky. A mushroom cloud appeared. Omino thought to himself, I haven't seen a mushroom cloud like that in six months. He didn't think anything of it until he saw a funnel cloud drop out of the sky into the ocean. Tehen looked at Omino and said, "Is that you, Lew?" Omino shook his head, "It is someone with nearly acquired powers. Whoever it is doesn't know how to control them." Omino stood up and said, "I'll handle this master." As the cyclone began to get more Omino walked out into the ocean. Omino's eyes began to glow as Omino began to counter the cyclones. The cyclone was strong, but Omino easily dispatched of it. Omino walked back onto the shore and said, "Master I must go. I am sure that this is not the only place where these weird tornadoes and explosions are happening." Tehen replied, "Okay my pupil. Remember to be safe." Omino lept into the air and began flying towards Australia.

A few nights later, a very rare and precious diamond was put up on display for the dedication of the museum. It was totally calm untill he came. The Hydro Machine busting through rowdely.

"All right everyone, it's time for Adult Swim." He shot his high pressure water cannons all over at anyone he saw. "Now Swim. Swim, swim." He laughed manically, nothing could stand in his way. He threw a few guards aside, and took out the daimond.

"Priceless."

"As long as I don't have to listen to your whiney voice along the way," Enertro growled at Nightwing.

Guardian flew towards a small island off the coast of the United States, before noticing smoke billowing out of ruins...

"A battle...no nuclear devices..." the angel deducted as he flew onto the Island, inspecting the devastation.

"Please...help me..." gasped a nearby voice.

Guardian slowly walked over and pushed away a large sheet of metal, revealing a bloodied man underneath.

"Oh no...Are you here to take me to heaven? I'm not ready..."

"You don't judge," Guardian replied as he set his hand on the man's bloody chest. "But neither do I." Healing energy coursed through the man, immediately closing his wounds, leaving barely a scar.

"Tell me what happened. Where is Diaphanous?" Guardian asked as he stepped back.

"The masters left as Prism and several others came. One had tentacles...One turned into a demon...one controlled the elements. I believe they were...traveling to some country... Cat...gas...something like that," the guard replied scratching his head.

Guardian followed the man's point, looking into the sky. "Find other wounded soldiers...I'll be back once I find her..."

With that, The Angel of Justice took off towards the heavens again...

"They went to Bermuda, squidman..." Surge growled his reply.

ooc: Blastit, I was told I could make a fortune on one of those phone lines.:p

"Nightwing, I do not want to make anyone do anything they do not want to do." Diaphanous told him. She sighed. Everything seemed to be going wrong.

"If it takes me leavig earth to save it, and you above all Enertro, I will do just that." She said sadly.

"I have a feeling your lying. No then, time for something else." Acillatem sent a thread into Surge's central nervous system. "You will do what I say, when I say. And I say, tell me where Enertro went. There is now hiding your knowledge from me. I control you now. So tell me, where are they."

OOC: How did that man on the island know exactly where they were going? They were heading to Katigasnia when they were teleported to the Watchtower.

IC: Nightwing looked at her and said, "There is know point in you leaving Earth when you will just go somewhere else and destroy it."

ooc: Surge and Legion don't know where Enertro, Athena, and Diaphanous are... they were yanked up and didn't know it until they were there.

"I guess you have a point, Nightwing. I just thought better an uninhabited planet, however I do not want to go from planet to planet blowing them up for the rest of my life." Diaphanous replied.

"I just do not want to force someone to do something if they do not want to."

Surge winced as he felt the thread enter his body and slowly felt himself lose control. "Dispicable..." he muttered before he lost control.

"Diaphanous, I want to help you, I want you to control your powers. If it means I am forced to work alongside brats and enemies, I will do so," Enertro said to Diaphanous.

"Now then Surge. You will tell me where Enertro is. If you don't know, I will know that you don't. So, give me your answer."

"Enertro... I am sorry, but... the gravity of the situation. I could destroy the world and us!" Diaphanous held his head with her hands and looked into his eyes. "I cannot imagine not being with my lover, soul mate, and husband. You are everything to me, and putting up with this will prevent me from killing you."

Her eyes got a bit watery and she brushed her lips on his.

"Please put up with the misery... for us?" She begged Enertro.

Acillatem finally came to the conclusion that Surge knew nothing. He would interrogate him later, but for now, he would do nothing. "Time to go back in your pen." Acillamtem tossed him in. Eventually we'll find Enertro. Then, he'll die."

"Just wait, you'll find that Enertro is the one who will kill all of you..." Surge growled as he felt along his neck, searching for where ever the thread was inserted.

"My love, if it means you control your powers...I will," Enertro replied as he wiped away some tears. "You are everything to me as well...I don't want to lose you..."

"You keep sying that. But Enertro is mortal. And, he is in need of justice. Even if we can't kill him, the thing that we have planned will certainly kill him, along with the rest of the immoral world.Besides, we defeated you and about five Legions easily. Enertro is strong, but he can't defeat all four of us at once."

"You'd be surprised...He's handled armies before...Plus...he has connections," Surge replied calmly.

Arthur stopped and looked at Candace. Then he got up and stared at her. He gave a simile toward her. Calming down Arthur sat down at a chair. "I'm sorry Candace. I don't think I'm ready yet."

ooc: Breit... why would Prism forget Dia but not Enertro? That makes no sense...

"Enertro," Diaphanous wiped away one of his tears. "I am sorry. I feel I am only complicating your life and ruining your plans. As much as I do not feel I could handle it, I understand if you do not want to be with me. I told you I might complicate everything for you. I am so sorry." She was crying too.

"OK Arthur, I understand." Candace said a bit dejectedly. She felt very rejected, and tried to hide the look on her face. "Let's just go to sleep then." She said. It was unlikely that the sadness did not come throught in her voice, but she tried her best. Arthur didn't even want to make out with her... after he said he loved her. He must find me unappealing to not even continue to kiss me.

She got under the covers and faced away from him so that he would not see her tears.

The one decent guy... is the one who doesn't want me... It figures. I know things have moved fast, but we both declared our love for each other. Tears were falling down her face, but she hid as much as she could in the pillow.

Arthur could hear the sadness come threw Candace's voice. He turned off the lights then got into the bed. I don't know what's wrong with me. I mean I should be happy, but I think I was just scared.

On his side of the bed Arthur could feel the coldness. Moving to see Candace Arthur thought he could hear her crying. Arthur got under the covers and moved next Candace. Then he hugged her and felt her body up against his. "I'm sorry Candace. Please don't cry."

Arthur turned Candace and gave her a passoinate kiss. He hugged her and felt her features on her body. "I love you Candace."

"No, my love, as you feel the need to help me defeat Prism, I feel the need to help you," Enertro whispered. He kissed her on her wet cheek, smiling slightly.

He turned to Nightwing and composed himself. "Alright, let's go to Katgasnia."

Cat Gas? Mortals are strange... Guardian thought to himself as he soared into the heavens, disappearing from sight, only to reappear near Fortuna and Sacer.

"I need help tracking someone who threatens to destroy the world. I was informed she was going to a place called Cat Gas, but I do not recall a nation by that name..."

"I think we have to go to Mexico or Australia actually, Enertro." Diaphanous looked up and smiled. "Thank you for indulging me. I love you more than anything." She held on to him tightly not wanting to let go.

"Cat Gas?" Fortuna repeated. "That sounds disgusting! Are you sure it was called that?" She asked, and then added an "EWWWWW!"

"I-I don't understand, Arthur." Canace replied. "You do not behave like someone in love." Tears were still running down her face.

"I am sorry for my reaction. I never believed in love so quickly, however we both declared we love each other, and you didn't even want to continue to kiss me."

Candace was still very hurt. She thought Arthur was putting on an act to make her feel better.

"It's just that I do love you Candace, but I was scared. I want to kiss with you, but I keep on remembering the men I have killed. Since you reminded me what I did I cannot get the images out of my head. Plus it reminded me of what I really run from..." Arthur said as he held Candace. The one thing he was running from was death or for speedsters Black Flash. Every since his encounter with it he was always running with fear. Arthur needed overcome that fear. "from death. Death comes in the form of a thing called Black Flash for speedsters. Soon I will face it again and I may not come back." Arthur kissed Candace on the forehead. "If I don't come back I still want you to live and find someone else. I just want you to be happy."

"We all die one way or another, Arthur." Candace replied. "I could get hit by a bus tomorrow.

"Seeing that I remind you of a terrible time in your life, I am going to leave. I do not want to continue doing that to you. You can't be with me like this."

Candace got out of bed, grabbed her clothes, and changed in the other room.

She opened the door and on her way out said, "It was great while it lasted."

I cannot believe I remind him of his own hell. I can't stay with Arthur like that. We will never have true love if I remind him of guilt and death. I guess I'll just have to go to Janice's house.

Candace left the hotel sobbing and headed to her father's car.

Arthur could feel the sweat roll down from his forehead. He wipped it with his hand. Getting up he looked out the window and saw Candace start to leave. Then Arthur started to cry, but he stopped. This isn't the time. I need to be a man. Arthur closed the curtains to the window. Sitting down in a chair he drank water from a glass. Then Arthur felt something wrong. Getting up he started to run and grabbed Candace. Arthur set Candace down as a car drove by. He joked.

"It wasn't a bus."

Moving very fast he thought he saw something black move by. It had tried to kill Candace. He looked toward Candace.

"You need to watch out. Death is after you."

"That's what I meant," Enertro chuckled quietly. "I'm ready to go to Australia..."

Guardian cocked his head to the side slightly. "That is what a guard told me. I search for a Diaphanous, who has caused trouble before."

"I must find her soon, to end her bombardments on humanity."

"Arthur, why would death be after me?" Candace laughed mockingly as she was still angry and upset.

"I have yet to see the Grim Reaper Arthur." She replied.

"I have to go now. I see that I can only hurt you and it affects the two of us. When we are together you think of murder and death. That is not OK! It is completely wrong." Candace was yelling.

"Why would I want to be with someone I love, if I continually remind him of death and murder, rather than love?" She asked.

"Look, you have hurt me to the core... reminding you of murder and death... That really makes me feel good Arthur." Candace was crying now.

"And 'death', as you say, has no reason to be after me. People die every day. If I die, well then I die." She retorted.

"Death is after because it is trying to destroy anything I love meaning you. Just be forewarned that this will not be the last time that Black Flash will come after you. I hope you find the right person because obviously I'm not it. Just pretend that I never met you. It will help both of us." Arthur looked at her and shook his head. Then turned around and faced the other direction.

"You don't get it at all Arthur!" Candace replied. "I love you so much, that I can't stand the thought that I remind you of murder and death! How can you not understand that? You back away from me because of this."

Candace was sobbing. "Do you know how much this hurts? I love you so much, but you won't come near me and I remind you of hell, not love.

"I can never ever forget you. I have never met anyone so wonderful. I have never fallen in love. It was wonderful, until you backed away from me and told me I reminded you of murder and death!"

She fell on her knees sobbing uncontrollably. "I-I-I l-love y-you so much a-and always w-w-will, but I r-remind you of h-hell. I-It hurts so much... I feel li-like I was st-stabbed with a knife.

"If you can forget me just like th-that... it is another knife. I will never forget you Arthur. I l-love you, but I create hell for you."

Candace could not stop sobbing, kneeling on the ground in the parking lot.

"I love you too, but I put you in too much danger. I want you to find somebody else. I cannot love you anymore. I'm doing this for your own good. Also you don't remind me of pain, but of a new start." Arthur walked off and went back up to his room. Taking his stuff he checked out and put the money he had left into a bank account. Then he started to run off into the sun as it was rising.

"That selfish bastard! He cannot love me anymore!? How easy it is for him!" Candace yelled. Doesn't he know I don't care about the danger? But if he is so able to forget me and just leave me, he never loved me anyway, as much as I still love him, as cruel as he is...

Candace was still on the ground sobbing in the parking lot. She didn't care about much of anything anymore. The one thing in her life that meant the most to her just walked out on her like she was garbage.

Before he left Arthur had written a message to Candace.

Dear Candace,

I will still love you and think about you everyday. One day I shall return to the village in Switzerland and be with you again. But alas I must find myself first. You never reminded me of death. I reminded myself of death. If a gust of wind every blows by you it might just be me. Just remember that I will come back for you.

Arthur laid down on a beach and started to cry.

OOC- Prism fell of a mesa during a life or death fight. He had a head injury. He remebered Enertro and his lackeys because of them abadoning him and mocking him. Dia never did anything bad to him, so in his madness he forgot about her.

IC- The group sat at a large table, waiting to be served food. "Prism. I'd like to congratulate you for today. You fought well. We will continue to keep those two here until we find Enertro. Now, it is time for us to tell you of our plan." "Lay it on me" Prism said. "What we are going to attempt to do is summon an extremely ancient and extremely powerful justice demon. There are many of them, so which one we summon we will not know until it happens. Then, Sabbath will engrave a symbol on it through magic which will allow us to control it. It will then go and purge the world of those who are evil. The just will not be harmed by this beast. As odd as this sounds, it is possible." Prism let all of this sink in. It was deep, but then he thought of something. "Will this beast kill Enertro?" "Yes." Acillatem stated. "Then I'm in. We just have to tell Enertro to come to where we will summon the demon. Then, when he gets here, we'll have a little srprise waiting for him." As the conversation continued, Sabbath made a mental block around them, so no one could no what their plans were.

Candace read the note and cried even more: From Arthur, not Love Arthur.

He doesn't know what he has done to me! The pain was almost unbearable.

Candace decided to take the Lambo to the long straightaway and gun it as fast as it could go. Perhaps it would get her mind off things. The tears would not stop.

No, it won't, but I'll do it anyway... it's something to do. I can't go home, my love left me so very easily... what do I have left anyway? After I do this, I think I will sneak into the house when my parents are gone for the day, get a lot of money, and just run away. I can't stand it here anymore. It just reminds me how Arthur so easily left me.

OOC: Don't make the angels interfere in the human affairs. Let the NJLU handle that. The angels should go after Masoki. Do you guys think King Arthur will come back?

IC: Nightwing glanced over at Enertro. This young kid had a lot of mouth. Nightwing knew that he would probably be trouble in the future. Nightwing looked at everyone and said, "We are going to arrive in Sydney. Diaphanous try to keep your nuclear explosions and tornadoes to a minimum, ok?" Nightwing looked over at Enertro and said, "And don't throw another temper tantrum. I have had to deal with kids before and I don't feel like dealing with another kid." Nightwing opened the conference room and walked towardst the main room. He then walked over to the transporter.

A few nights later, a very rare and precious diamond was put up on display for the dedication of the museum. It was totally calm untill he came. The Hydro Machine busting through rowdely.

"All right everyone, it's time for Adult Swim." He shot his high pressure water cannons all over at anyone he saw. "Now Swim. Swim, swim." He laughed manically, nothing could stand in his way. He threw a few guards aside, and took out the daimond.

"Priceless."

Masozi had now found his way into Rome undetected, that is where he might find something to destroy the angels once and for all. Wrapped in a long black cloak he proceeded his way towards the Vatican.

Raindrops trickled down onto the demon as invisible bursts of static electricty evaporated the water before it could touch him.

"So Reave, you make me do this alone?" He growled walking among the humans.

"Me? Throw a temper tantrum? I doubt your as old as I am," Enertro growled as he followed Nightwing into the transporter.

Diaphanous glared at Nightwing. "Would we be doing this if I could control these powers? What an idiotic request."

She kissed Enertro; "Do not let him bother you. It is not worth it my love." She kissed him longingly. There were a lot of things it seemed she did not have a lot of control over.

ooc: King A better come back! He is major in another RP I am in and was concerned that I would not be there! I TGd, OOCd, and Emailed and no response.

Candace drove the Lambo out to the long straightaway and soon was over 200 mph. She loved speed, but this was not enough. She gunned the 12-cylendar as hard as she could and then, with 4mpg, she ran out of gas.

It figures... life couldn't get any worse.

She cried as she exited the vehicle and began walking back to the town.

Here she was with no car, by herself, covered in bruises, and dumped by the man she loved. Candace cared about nothing at this point and was walking in a daze.

Arthur knew that Candace could be in a dangerous state right now. She could be sucidicial. Getting up he got a piece of paper and wrote down a message. Then ran back to Switzerland and drop it in front of her.

I know the pain your going threw and the state you are in. If you want to see me again then travel to Sydney, Australia.

Running toward Sydney he made his way to the NJLU HQ there. Making his way inside the place was pretty much abandon. Arthur sat down at a chair and fell asleep.

A note dropped in front of Candace as she was walking. Great, from Arthur. He is that fast and he still leaves me to walk miles to the city in this condition. A tear fell from her eye.

She shook her head. He is not very considerate, considering the temperature and the fact that she was bruised and beaten up. Plus he never stopped to talk to her for even one minute.

What is wrong with him? She thought.

Candace mulled over whether to go to Australia. Sydney. Where in Sydney!? He did not even tell her! Was she to walk the entire city looking for him? Impossible! Arthur does not know the state I am in. He told me I reminded him of the murders and of his death, and then he said I didn't. She was angry now.

If he can't stop for five minutes to ask me to come to Australia, why the fuck should I? Besides, I would never find him. She thought, as she continued walking... every step more painful than the previous. Three miles seemed like thirty to her at this point.

Getting up Arthur decided to help Candace alittle running back to Switzerland he grabbed her and dropped her in the middle of the city. "When you come to Sydney I will find you. I'm the fastest person on this besides Impulse. It will not take that long to find in the city. It's fine if you don't want to see me again. You never reminded me of death. I reminded myself." Arthur walked over and kissed her on the forehead.

Well that was a surprise. Candace thought.

There she sat in the middle of the city with no where to go.

We were going to spend the night in the hotel and he still ditched me. I don't know what to do. So if I go to Australia, does he just do the same thing? He seems to be heartless. It didn't seem that way at first, but the way he is treating me now makes no sense.

Candace stood there looking around and went into a coffee shop to get warm, trying to decide what to do. She couldn't call her parents for a ride. She was still stuck no where.

Arthur quickly ran by and gave her a coffee. He also quickly wrote down a note. Then he dropped it near the coffee.

Dear Candace,

When you come to Sydney I will find you. I'm the fastest person on this besides Impulse. It will not take that long to find in the city. It's fine if you don't want to see me again. You never reminded me of death. I reminded myself. I hope you liked the coffee. If need money then here it is.

Next to the note was a stack of Swiss Francs.

Why won't he talk to me? Candace mused. If I go, is he going to remind himself of death and distance himself from me again? I love him, but I don't want him to hurt me again like that. I am perplexed... if we become intimate in any way, is he just going to leave because he is thinking of death and murder?

Candace decided this was something she had to mull over a bit. She really did not know what to do. He seemed like a different person to her. Initially so polite, then, not even polite to stop and talk for one or two minutes.

She sighed.

Arthur looked from a distance then walked over and sat across from her. He ordered a cup of hot chocolate and sipped from it. Saying nothing for a while he looked at Candace. Then he held her hand. "I'm sorry."

"Me? Throw a temper tantrum? I doubt your as old as I am," Enertro growled as he followed Nightwing into the transporter.

Nightwing looked at Enertro and said, "I am old enough to be your father." Nightwing walked onto the transporter. He simply ignored Diaphanous' reply because there was know point in arguing with her. It was fun to press Enertro's buttons.

Enertro glared at Nightwing as he followed. "Too bad you didn't get any wiser with age...or else the NJLU may not be as it is now," he growled as he kissed Diaphanous gently on the head.

"Once we get to Australia, and do as much a journey we can, let's get a hotel," Enertro said as he watched Nightwing work.

"Then we'll at least have a night to ourselves," Enertro whispered to Diaphanous as he kissed her neck from behind her.

OOC: Old enough to be Enertro's father. ;) Look at the OOC thread for a more definite answer.

Nightwing looked at Enertro and said, "Don't touch her while we go through the transporter. When we land in Australia you could switch body parts. You wouldn't want Diaphanous' leg sticking out of your head would you?" Nightwing pressed quickly pressed a series of buttons. The transporter glowed and the whole group was transported.

"Oh, I am so looking forward to getting a room Enertro," Diaphanous said seductively as she ran her hand over his chest. He was perfect as ever, and not extremely patient. She wanted him now, but the thought of switching body parts was a bit disgusting.

"Just ignore him, Enertro. He's trying to piss you off on purpose." Diaphanous said.

"Nightwing," she said, "quit trying to bait Enertro and let us remain civil. If we have to work together, let us not make it a horrid experience beyond what it may be anyway."

"Arthur?" Candace said when he suddenly appeared. She was surprised. "What is going on with you? You are acting so strange. To be honest, I am concerned about you." She grasped his hand.

Candace blushed... "You know that I... love you. That won't change. But I want to come with you to Sydney. Can you bring me?" She asked. "Then my parents won't have to see me or anything." She paused.

"Plus, it would be much faster." She smiled. "I accept your apology, however, I beg you not to behave as you did in the hotel. It was very hurtful.

"Thank you for finally stopping to speak with me." Candace said. "I want to go with you Arthur, and I want to know what is wrong. If you love me, you would tell me. Maybe I can help."

"Fine I want you to come with me." Arthur picked up Candace and he ran until he reached a hotel in Sydney. Going up the elevator he put his hand over Candace's eyes. He led her to the room and opened it. Arthur removed his hand to show Candace the room. He sat down in a chair. "I hope you like it."

"It's alright, my love. I know that we're better off than that old man anyways. No loving wife, bare an organization...and the thought of having been defeated before..." Enertro replied with a small chuckle as he slowly backed away from Diaphanous.

The large ex-cosmonaught closed his eyes as light shined in his eyes, the transporter at work. Unsure what to brace himself for, he only held his hands stiffly to his sides. "I hope this doesn't make our clothes part of our body..." he muttered before they disappeared. His last thought before the teleportation was his undyeing love to Diaphanous.

They all landed outside of Sydney. Nightwing looked at Enertro and said, "I do have a wife. You should be grateful I am helping you keep yours." Nightwing then said, "Who defeated the NJLU? Certainly not your weak organization. You can't even control your soldiers." Nightwing shook his head. Enertro was a foolish person. Nightwing looked at the group and said, "I hope you guys have normal attire. I don't want you to stand out to the crowd." Nightwing pulled out a small remote. He hit two buttons and his costume began to change. Soon he looked like an average middle-aged gentleman. He looked at Diaphanous and Enertro and said, "Come on let's go."

"Oh? You do have a wife? Please send my condolensces for having to put up with such a character. I never knew such a person existed..."

"And don't you dare call my organization weak. We're much better organized than the NJLU I can tell you that...I'm confident that we could wipe the floor with your carcasses should the need arise. As what would have happened in Mexico, had the angels not interfered."

"As for normal attire...If I had time for it, I would have packed up a suitcase for a vacation," Enertro continued as he pulled off his armor and cape, leaving his black undershirt tucked underneath his black pants. "But I suppose this would do."

"My son, you look ill, what is it that troubles you?" A passing priest asked Masozi.

His anger and hatred towards these holy grounds hit its climax as the holy man began bleeding from his nose.

"It's this, place. I can't stand it. It's-so-ugly." He growled from beneath his hooded cloak.

"Surely you have come here for something my son." The man asked while wiping the blood away.

"The spear old man. That-is-it...so many...so hungry..Longinus." Masozi threw off his cover before quickly transforming into a giant snake that began devoring all he came across at horrifying speeds.

Sacer immediately felt the disturbance and shot down like a bolt a black lightning.

"Guardian! Fortuna!" He yelled back descending furiously.

Hatman easily blocked and countered each attack as they charged. As the last one came in with his sword, Hatman ducked behind and lifted the assailant into the air before throwing him at the remaining group who tumbled into a pile. Haze was still dealing with the enemy outside when Hatman suddenly heard a familiar scream down the corridor. It was Alison!

The last hood was standing in the room with a gun pointing at Alison's head and an electrical contraption aimed at the door,

"When Hatman enters this room," he told the frightened reporter with a snide grin, "he will meet his doom, for I know his weakness!"

The hood waited, and waited. Surely the caped intruder should have appeared by now? He moved slowly toward the doorway. He wasn't bothered by Alison escaping as he had tied her bonds himself. He reached the doorway and peered out. Suddenly he was bolted backward when his face came into contact with a very heavy fist.

The hood regained himself and saw Hatman standing in the doorway,

"Are you going to surrender now?" the hero asked, "It would be a lot easier on everyone if you did."

"Never." replied the hood and he raised his unusual weapon, "I know your weakness Hatman and now you will DIE!"

And he fired...

"Enertro, my love... do not even speak with Nightwing... I feel like I should be putting money down with all this sparring!" She chuckled. "Of course I would bet on you." Diaphanous smiled at Enertro.

When they reached Sydney, Diaphanous looked at her clothing. "Well Nightwing. I can carry the cape and the weapons belt." She removed them. It was too hot anyway. "The rest of the clothing has to stay." It really wasn't anything that looked like a uniform... leather pants, the barely there leather halter with the lace up leather holding the front together, showing ample cleavage, attached to the leather pants with a crossed 'X' in back to front, high heeled boots. Diaphanous removed the over the elbow leather gloves.

"There, is this OK? It is a little warm, but this is special leather that breathes... so do not worry. I will not get sweaty and smelly." She chuckled.

Diaphanous did not notice the men who walked by staring at her. She was so stunning, and the fact that she had long white/blonde hair and dark skin was a bit different, however that was not what they were staring at.

"Where are we going?" She asked Nightwing.

Diaphanous looked at Enertro. She loved the way he looked in a t-shirt. So muscular. She felt her blood was going to boil.

"Oh my God!" Candace exclaimed. "That was so fast!" She was quite surprised.

When she opened her eyes, her jaw dropped. The room was beautiful. "Arthur, the room is gorgeous!" She looked at him and smiled, "Thank you for bringing me." She kissed him on the cheek.

"I think I probably need different clothing, however," Candace chuckled. "Australia with ski clothes for Switzerland is a bit weird... and warm!"

Candace smiled and hugged Arthur. She was so happy he changed his mind.

"Arthur...," she said quietly, "please tell me what is troubling you. If I am to be part of your life, there can be no secrets. In addition, pain shared is pain cut in half, if you've heard that saying. I am here for you always."

Candace looked at him with love and concern.

"Don't speak of my wife. You should be quiet now Enertro because your chronic whining is starting to become rather irritating. Your organization did not beat the NJLU nor could it ever. You do not know the reason why the NJLU is in the state it is now so really close your mouth before you make yourself look like a bigger ass," Nightwing told Enertro.

Nightwing then said, "We are going to find a hotel so that I can leave you two somewhere. I have something I must do." The group continued up the street towards a large hotel.

Haze had just walked into the room when the gun was fired. The projectile was less than an inch away from Hatman when Haze used his telekinesis to deflect it. Haze looked at the gun and it began to fall apart. Soon the gun was just a pile of random parts. Haze then said to the man, "I think you should give up."

As the giant snake cornered the priest against a wall the holy man uttered a soft prayer. At that very moment Sacer came flying into the demon's head with furious anger and tremendous power.

"Thank you lord." He uttered watching the one winged angel drive the snake into the earth.

"Guardian, Fortuna!" He yelled back struggled to hold the beast's head down.

"Well, the NJLU is still crumbling, so atleast I know I am right," Enertro replied as he followed Nightwing to the large hotel. Luckily, Enertro was carrying a wallet with quite a large sum of money. He just wanted the old man to pay for the best room. Best room for the two most powerful figures in the world, of course, Enertro thought to himself, and possibly Diaphanous if she was reading him. Although he knew there were definately people more powerful than him, he had to brag that he had to be one of the best out there, having been previously selected by the United States to defeat the NJLU, which, he had reason to believe, would have happened, if Sacer hadn't told him not to.

"So, are you going to pay for our rooms?"

Guardian was soaring into the sky, still trying to figure out what this "Cat Gas" country was, when he heard a distant prayer, one full of fear. And he certainly heard Sacer's cry for help.

The Angel of Law immediately spun in air and rushed down towards the ground, nearly breaking the sound barrier before leveling out, and letting his wings slow his fall.

Once he located his target, he made small movements to keep him at the falling towards the mid section of the beast, before bringing out his fiery broadsword and moving the end below him, ready to spear the snake.

"Before we left I observed that you had pocket full of money. I do believe that you could pay for your own things rich-boy," Nightwing said to Enertro. They had finally reached the outside of a large pink hotel. Nightwing had a nice amount of money in his savings left to him by Bruce. Nightwing decided that this would be a good time to use some of that money.

The massive snake dissolved into a liquid that raced into the sewers.

"What is he doing here!" Sacer barked climbing out of the crater towards Guardian.

"He mentioned the Spear of Longinus kind angels." The priest said crawling towards them with his head bowed.

"We have to find that spear before he does otherwise we'll be in some good deal of trouble." The angel growled before running into the oldest chapel folding his wing behind him. "Come on!"

"Thank you, father," Guardian replied to the priest's information before running behind Sacer.

"I'm guessing this is Masozi?" Guardian asked as his wings formed themselves into their tendrils, searching different objects as they pasted by hurridly. As Guardian entered the church, his tendrils bunched up onto the archway, bending close to it, before launching the angel forward, towards the alter.

"I hope you weren't stealing any of it," Enertro replied as they stopped in front of the hotel. It was a nice looking one, slightly amusing to the crime lord due to it's outward pink appearance.

"This looks like a fun hotel," Enertro laughed, as he put his arm around Diaphanous and pulled her a little closer.

"Yes, but he gets a lot bigger and angrier." Sacer answered as he paused in the middle of the ancient church. "Where would it be...mortals shouldn't even have things like these!"

I thought the spear was lost years ago, at least that's what Alucard said. I guess the other demons didn't want him going for it.

"I would expect so. You got bigger and angrier before you remembered your faith," Guardian replied with no humor in his voice.

"Please forgive me, Lord," Guardian whispered before ripping the floorboards out from the altar. "Human's tend to place Artifacts in safes...unless it's something they want to show. Then, they are either in the entrance, or, my guess would be, the altar."

"Guardian, please don't misread what I'm about to do..." Sacer said while folding his arms and snarling.

The angel's white wing on the left collapsed in as a new black one extended from the right. His fangs grew as his veins buldged with his anger. One final battle cry revealed his previous form.

Suddenly he fell to the floor from the light of the holy sanctuary. The angel of darkness could feel the most holy of artifacts ten stories below ground that seemingly burned right into him.

"Below us." The dark angel growled before turning back the Angel of Holy. "About a hundred feet."

He staggered to his feet feeling along the wall for a secret passage.

As Sacer transformed, Guardian held his hand over the hilt of his sword, just in case, but immediately dissolved the weapon in his grasp as Sacer turned back. "Perhaps the priest will know?" Guardian asked as he walked to Sacer and began feeling the ground with his pure white tendrils.

Nightwing looked at Enertro and said, "If I wanted your money I would have took it as soon as you jumped out of the helicopter." Nightwing walked into the hotel.

"You could have tried and spare me the trouble of killing you in the future," Enertro grumbled as he followed behind Nightwing, admiring the decor that consumed the walls.

Carl had spent an hour going after the fish when he finally managed to catch one. He headed over to his master's room, the fish wrapped in leaves, and set it down in front of his master.

"This is freesh water trout. I asked for Salmon. Go back and try again."

"What?!? I spent an hour plodding around, making a fool of myself, and now you tell me to go back to get a different type of fish?! What is up with this?"

"Not my fault that you don;t know how to tell the difference between a salmon and a freshwater trout. Go and try again." Carl left in a huff. Meanwhile, his master opened his eyes, and stared towards the sky. "Well, I wonder who is above us?"

Carl's master left his room, stood on a balcony, and without so much as a flex of a mucle, flew upwards towrds a new presence in the skies. He transferred to his dragon skin as he flew, and at no time at all hw was flapping just above the person in the skies. He had managed to be ahead of her, and so he lowered himself so that she was headed straight towards him. As she approached, he flared his wings, presenting an image of somebody that didn't intend to let this person go by without answering a couple of questions. She neared him, and stopped.

"I mean you no harm, Lassie, but you have entered the skies of a sovereign territory, and as a proclaimed guardian of this realm, I must know your name and your business here."

"You've never fought anyone like me before," Nightwing replied.

Dick turned around and said, "I am sorry. This man right here is all muscle and no brains and I had to explain something to him." Grayson then said, "I reserved the three suites earlier today. Under the name of Dick Grayson. One is for myself. The other for those two." He pointed at Athena and Fenrir. "And the last is for these two." He nodded his head towards Enertro and Diaphanous. "Everything has already been paid for," the lady said. She handed Nightwing a key and pointed towards an elevator. She said, "Take that elevator to the top floor and your suite is the one with the blue door." The attendant wait for the others to walk up to her.

Carl's master left his room, stood on a balcony, and without so much as a flex of a mucle, flew upwards towrds a new presence in the skies. He transferred to his dragon skin as he flew, and at no time at all hw was flapping just above the person in the skies. He had managed to be ahead of her, and so he lowered himself so that she was headed straight towards him. As she approached, he flared his wings, presenting an image of somebody that didn't intend to let this person go by without answering a couple of questions. She neared him, and stopped.

"I mean you no harm, Lassie, but you have entered the skies of a sovereign territory, and as a proclaimed guardian of this realm, I must know your name and your business here."

Starfire thought to herself, Finally. I thought Nightwing had just sent me somewhere randomly. Starfire looked at the dragon and said, "I am Starfire. I am here on official NJLU business. There is a dragon by the name of Carl who I would like to speak with."

ooc: Gold Medallion, Morph (for a bit), Static, I think a bit of the Phantom Haze.

"Same goes to you," Enertro countered, flexing his hands.

"Muscle and no brains...still no proof about that..." Enertro growled as he walked up to the counter.

OOC: He fought Haze? I don't remember that.

IC: Nightwing said over his shoulder, "Plenty of proof. You don't know when to shut up." Nightwing pressed the elevator button and waited for the elevator door to open. Once it opened he stepped in and rode the elevator to the top floor.

As Enertro stepped to the counter the attendant said, "Here is your key, sir. Ride the elevator up and your room is the one with the yellow door." She handed him the key.

ooc: I think he shot a bolt at Haze, before Diaphanous went to battle him or something like that. Then Static came to help.

"I don't know when to give up when I know I'm right," Enertro replied before leading Diaphanous into another elevator. "Idiot...I wish Raven was on our team or something...Then I wouldn't have to deal with angry old men..." he said before holding Diaphanous tightly.

"At least we get a room to ourselves..."

Diaphanous had been reading Nightwing as well as listening to his shit. She could take no more of it. She screamed at him:

"Will you shut the fuck up, Nightwing?! You have been baiting Enertro all day! You also underestimate him greatly and you sure as well underestimate me!" Her eyes were beginning to turn black.

"When do I meet this Raven!? With your shit, I will blow up the earth prior to us ever finding her! Yes I have a rage problem, however it is innate from my planet! I understand Raven is from another planet. She sounds wonderful. Just keep your fucking mouth under control so we all live until I meet her!"

Diaphanous could not stand the way Nightwing was baiting Enertro. She telepathically told Enertro: My love, please, for all our sakes ignore the idiot. I know you are right. You have nothing to prove. He is baiting you and you are taking it. Just pretend he is not there. She grabbed hold of his waist, as she knew it would help her calm down.

Fortuna responded to the call immediately. She came down and shone blinding light into the unruly demon's eyes so the others could deal with him better. She sighed. Not again.

"Arthur, that is too sweet of you." Candace replied. "I am the luckiest girl." She blushed.

"Thank you for the money. I will be sure to reimburse you. I am also grateful you have decided to tell me of your troubles later." She smiled.

"So what are you doing down under anyway?" Candace asked as she took off her ski jacket.

Nightwing didn't hear a word Diaphanous said. He was already outside of his room. Nightwing shook his head. It was going to take a long time to get through to those kids. Nightwing walked into his room and laid down on his bed. He thought to himself, How rude of Diaphanous to read someone's inner thoughts. Oh well. She will regret that later. They are acting like they have something to prove to me. Nightwing turned over and went to sleep.

A security guard looked towards the deranged lady. Everyone in the lobby stopped and looked at her. One lady said to her husband, "What is the matter with her? She is crazy." The couple quickly ran out of the hotel. The security guard walked over to Diaphanous and said, "Is everything okay, ma'am? Do you need a doctor?"

"Arthur, that is too sweet of you." Candace replied. "I am the luckiest girl." She blushed.

"Thank you for the money. I will be sure to reimburse you. I am also grateful you have decided to tell me of your troubles later." She smiled.

"So what are you doing down under anyway?" Candace asked as she took off her ski jacket.

OOC: Arthur did fight Enertro.

"Oh it fine. I'm just glad. And about the money. You don't have to reimburse me. Just call it another good deed." Arthur said as he sat down in a chair,

"I'm going after a person called Diaphanous. She is staying at this hotel with another person called Enertro. You can say that were old friends." He said as he looked around.

Diaphanous read Nightwing's insults as well, and projected her disgust with him directly to him telepathically.

You are the one acting like you own the earth. Just save it. And it is you who will have the regrets. We have nothing to prove. It seems that you do.

Realizing she caused a commotion in the lobby, she replied to the security guard, "No, I am just fine." She gave him a stellar smile. "As a matter of fact, the man I was yelling at slipped out as I was ranting. I am very sorry for the disturbance, sir. Please accept my apology."

She turned to Enertro. "Nightwing is thinking nasty shit about us constantly and belittling us. I want nothing to do with him, even if it means not finding Raven. He does not even see that he is causing all the trouble with his snide comments. How ignorant he is." She looked up at Enertro.

"Perhaps we should go to a different hotel. I do not want to be anywhere near him. What if this 'Raven' is like him? I cannot work with someone like that. Nightwing is so full of himself it repulses me." Diaphanous continued, "Aside from that, I am sure we can find a much nicer hotel, do you not agree?" She smiled at Enertro waiting for his response.

"Going after?" Candace repeated to Arthur. "That sounds like you intend to hurt this Diaphanous person. Please say you aren't. Vengance is never worth it."

Candace looked down sadly. She did not want Arthur to hurt anyone. He was supposed to be one of the good guys. "Please don't hurt anyone." She said with a tear falling down her face.

"I thought this was going to be a nice relaxing trip, and now I hear about more violence. If this is what you intend, I can't stay. That is not the Arthur I thought you were."

She did her best to hold back her tears. "You said you went through so much violence and murder, some on your part, and you intend to hurt someone else?

"You're just perpetuating a terrible cycle. I should go then. I don't want a violent, vengeful Arthur." Candace picked up the money. "I hope you don't mind me keeping the money. I'll need it for a plane ticket."

The security guard nodded and walked away from Diaphanous.

Nightwing received the message while he was sleeping. He replied to Diaphanous, I have done nothing to you two. Ever since I saved your life , your spouse has been insulting me. Do not blame all of this on me. I have nothing to prove to you. I have saved the world multiple times. I do care about the innocent people of world unlike some people who would take from the poorest man and put the stolen product right in their pocket. I have sacrificed my life, my family and my friends for this world. Do not patronize me. I owe you nothing.

Nightwing blocked his mind from Diaphanous. She had infuriated him. Nightwing knew that he still needed to find Raven for her however. It was too much of a risk for the world for her not to have control of herself. Nightwing thought to himself, The search for Raven begins tomorrow.

ooc: Yeah, Arthur did fight Enertro in the beginning! I knew I was forgetting someone! lol
"Don't worry about him, my love. He's a senile old man who's seen better days. Now it is time for new generations...generations like us," he said with a smile, kissing Diaphanous gently on her waiting lips. "And, I don't know about you..." he gently poked her nose with his pointer finger, "But I want to get to the room."

"Considering we have a key that the senile old man was greatful enough to give us, I say we use it up," Enertro chuckled, bringing his lips to hers, only to pull away and wink, before taking off for the elevator and hurridly pushing the buttons to the floor of their room.

The elder dragon was a little surprised by the response of this Starfire. "You would speak with my apprentice? I must know what this business of yours is with him. He is no fool, but as his master he and I are on intimate bonds, and the fact that you would speak with him means that you must first state you reason to me. I do not need to hear the details yet, but what would require the NJLU's attention with a Dragon Apprentice?"

"I'm not going to hurt them. I just want to see them. I haven't seen them both in about six months. After the meeting it's just going to be you and me for all of this vacation." Arthur said as he hugged Candace tightly. He held her head and wipped away the tears. Arthur similed at her. "You need to cheer up Candace."

Somewhere in a barren California Desert...

Preparations were being made for the summoning. For a demon so powerful as a judgement demon, everything had to go right. Acillatem's soldiers were setting things up for the summon. A massive symbol had been etched in the ground. A large platform was created for Sabbath to do the ritual. Surge and Legion stood in their cages. Turrents and other defensive structures were around the area. Sabbath was at this time still trying to locate Enertro. The area would eventually be complete, and the demon eventually summoned.

The elder dragon was a little surprised by the response of this Starfire. "You would speak with my apprentice? I must know what this business of yours is with him. He is no fool, but as his master he and I are on intimate bonds, and the fact that you would speak with him means that you must first state you reason to me. I do not need to hear the details yet, but what would require the NJLU's attention with a Dragon Apprentice?"

Starfire nodded and said, "The NJLU wishes to recruit Carl. We know that he has great potential. He would be perfect in our fight against all evil. We would have asked you, but we know you cannot leave these lands. That is why we want to ask Carl. If Carl comes he will be able to help the NJLU in a lot of different. We will not cause Carl any harm. We just believe that he would be a great addition to our team. I swear I will take care of him personally.

"I think" the elder dragond said, "That you should speak to him about this. Be warned, I can not speak for Carl, it is his decision alone. However, I must question your idea of kieeping him out of harm. Generally, I believe that the NJLU exists to put itself in Harm's way. If you would speak with him, follow me." The dragon released the magnetic holds that had been keeping him suspended in the sky, and flipped backwards into a dive, keeping his wings extended only a quarter of the way to act as rudders for steering during the descent.

The NJLU exists to put itself in Harm's way?, Starfire thought to herself as she followed the dragon towards Carl. She understood what he meant by that comment and in a lot of ways it was true. She thought about what the elder dragon said until they reached the other dragon.

"Sabbath, have you found Enertro yet?' Prism was interested in seeing when Enertro would arrive. "I have yet to find his exact location. However, I know he is somewhere in Australia. I think that we could send a message to all of Australia, one that will appear on every TV in the country." Within a few hours, the message was ready. Sabbath sent it mentally to every TV and radio in Australia. Then he made sure no one would be able to track it with a mental block. Acillatem appeared on the message. "Greetings. I am Acillatem. This message goes out to Enertro. I know you are somewhere in this country. You have wronged many people, and will be brought to justice. We have captured your subordinates. If you want revenge, then you will come to us. However, we will not give you our location. You can find us yourself. We wait for you, terroist." Acillatem disappeared from the media of Australia, and waited and wondered if Enertro saw it.

"Nightwing just told me he saved MY LIFE! He never did such a thing! Is he insane, Enertro?" Diaphanous asked. "He is so full of himself he makes me want to vomit. He has just said terrible things about you. And we both know we are not the "steal from the poor and rule the world" people we may have once been... not since our wonderful time on the island and our marriage." She smiled at him and put her arm around him.

"What infuriates me is that he thinks he saved my life? We have never met! He is senile! And it creeps me out. I am sick of his insults... sick of it all... Plus, I am sensing bad Mojo again."

Just as she said that, the TV in the elevator showed the message to Enertro.
"Oh God Enertro!" Tears ran down her face as she thought of Surge and Legion in captivity by an insane Prism and occult weirdos.

"Enertro... we cannot go there. It is a trap. They would not want us to walk into a trap... well maybe Surge would want me to anyway," She smirked.

"Enertro, why do you not go and get the room... I have an idea and I will be right back. Perhaps I may be able to summon someone who can help."

They reached the floor of their room. "I will be back in a moment, my love. Then we can relax."

Before Enertro could say anything, Diaphanous became invisible and floated to the top of the roof. She sat up there and began to sing in a voice the birds would be jealous of... she was sure she would get a response:

Soooo... On the first evening a pebble,
from somewhere out of nowhere falls upon the sleeping world.
Soooo... on the second celestial evening,
all the children of the pebble hold hands and compose a waltz.

"Sacer, I need you!"

Then for some reason another song came into her head and she began singing:

Preacher wants the judgement day...
Junkie keeps the world at bay...

Doomsday Doomsday!

She did not remember where she heard it before... the bad Mojo was affecting it.

"OK Arthur," Candace replied. "I will relax... It's the way you said 'Go after'." She sighed.

"I have to admit I am a bit stressed, but I trust you Arthur." She kissed his cheek.

The elder dragon landed in the temple yard, which he had covered in mist moments before. half a minute later, Starfire had landed in the courtyard, now mist free and with only one old man standing there, waiting for her. "This way, please," he said, as he walked towards his room. He arrived with Starfire to find Carl meditating, a fish in the small wash basin, fish still very much alive and basin full of lake water.

"Where have you been?"

"Taking care of some business. I see that you managed to bring me a salmon. Why is there a bowl here?"

"You hate rotting fish, and you never told me to cook it. Who is she?"

The elder dragon smiled at this. He reached out his left hand, and a pot flew to it. He blew a single ball of fire into the small cooking pit, igniting the wood, then set the pan on top of it. "Please, sit, both of you." He wen to work, grabbing the fish faster than the eye could see, then expertly gutted and cleaned it with a small knife that he produced from his cloak. The meat and dripping oil went onto the pan, the rest went directly to the fire. "Carl, this is Starfire, of the NJLU. She has some business that she wishes to discuss with you."

Enertro watched as Diaphanous flew to the ceiling, leaving him alone in the hallway. He only hoped that what she would come up with something.

It doesn't matter...I can kill that ragtag group easily...I am invincible... Enertro thought to himself as he opened the door to a large room. He closed the door behind him and put tossed his armor on a nearby couch, before brooding to himself in bed.

"OK Arthur," Candace replied. "I will relax... It's the way you said 'Go after'." She sighed.

"I have to admit I am a bit stressed, but I trust you Arthur." She kissed his cheek.

"Ok, Candace then I will go meet with Enertro. I'm glad that your going to relac. Also about you trusting me again." Arthur started to grown red when she kissed his cheek. Then he went over to the door and started to open it. "I will come back in a bit."

Arthur closed the door behind him and went down to the lobby. He ran to the information desk and found out where Enertro was staying. Going over to the elevator he took it all the way up. Once finding his way to Enertro's room he knocked on the door. "Open up Enertro!! I know your in there."

The voice behind the door seemed vaguely familiar, but Enertro couldn't quite place a face behind it. He slowly got up and opened the door, revealing a slightly familiar boy.

"Who are you?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

"So your Enertro. Where's Diaphanous? Oh sorry I'm the person who use to be Quickspeed or I'm still somewhat Kid Flash. But now I'm just called Arthur." Arthur looked toward Enertro.

Sacer paused listening to Dia.

I'm sorry but I- He was cut off when Masozi exploded through the wall into him. The demon's hand clutched firmly on the angel's face and the other clasped onto the spear.

"So Reave, you're as shortsighted as ever. Even with the spear I can't take three angels, I can't even take one still, but your eyes lost focus on somewhere esle. Somewhere my new master didn't want you to see. I beat you Reave! I beat you!" Masozi screamed at Sacer before launching himself into the sky.

"Not yet you haven't," growled Guardian as he raced towards Masozi. His wing tendrils wrapped on each one of Masozi's arms and began to pull in opposite directions.

"Keep concentrated, Sacer," Guardian barked as his sword appeared in his arms, ready to slice the demon in half.

"Well...nice to see you again, Arthur," Enertro said quietly. "Weren't you with Omino?"

"And why do you want to see Diaphanous?" Enertro knew Dia could handle herself, but he didn't want someone to attempt to kill her. He still didn't know what to think of the kid formily known as Quickspeed. The ex-hero had slaughter a whole room full of his officers and had even fought Enertro before he met Diaphanous.

The demon peeled in half avoiding the blade laughing. The two halves turned into liquid and reformed in unison.

"Ah the three angels of destiny, ironic that a demon took the spear of destiny right from under their very feet." He growled peeling his mouth guard off and spewed at high pressure the remains of the people he had eaten from earlier.

Wooshaba']Haze had just walked into the room when the gun was fired. The projectile was less than an inch away from Hatman when Haze used his telekinesis to deflect it. Haze looked at the gun and it began to fall apart. Soon the gun was just a pile of random parts. Haze then said to the man, "I think you should give up."

The hood observed his predicament with quiet contemplation. His head was darting between each hero with no idea how to escape. In the end all he said was,

"For Galvania!" and he cracked his lower jaw. Seconds later his body slumped to the ground as Hatman and Haze dashed toward him, but it was too late.

"Well I guess that's that then,” said Hatman as he removed the dead man's cowl. Those lifeless eyes stared into emptiness, but Hatman suddenly noticed something on his face. It was a simple tattoo, which curved around from the left eyebrow all the way down to just under the eye. Hatman turned to Haze, "I know this marking. It is I believe a symbol of the Galvanian Special Forces. But why were they masquerading as terrorists?"

Guardian flew out of the way of the sickening blast as he wondered out this foe could be stopped.

I could atleast sink my blade into Sacer...but this one... The angel flew towards Sacer and floated close to him.

"How do we kill him?" he whispered to his companion.

Diaphanous continued to sit on the roof and sing. She was just resting and looking at the stars. Hoping her call was heard and looking forward to a relaxing evening with Enertro.

Candace peeled off her winter clothing and took a quick shower. She then looked through the closet and grabbed a T-shirt. This would have to do until she went shopping. She turned on the TV and relaxed on the luxurious bedding waiting for Arthur, trying her best to trust him. Candace was still concerned about him, however.

Fortuna came roaring down at the demon in the form of fog. He could not touch her. She began to glow a blinding light and shoot it at Masozi, amplified by her appearing diamond studded katana, which slashed at him from all directions while shooting light at the demon.

Starfire walked over to Carl and greeted him. She then began to tell him why she had came. "I have come to ask you to join the NJLU. The world is in a time of need right now and we think that you could help the world a lot. We wish to ask you of your services. Do you accept?"

Nightwing woke up in the middle of the night. He had to meet with someone. He quickly dressed himself and lept out of his hotel room window. He used a grappling hook to link him to another building. He had an old friend to meet.

Haze looked at Hatman and said, "Maybe we should go talk to the King of Katisgasnia. He has to know why all of these things are happening." Haze lept into the sky and flew towards the capital city."

The two subjects, Tibor and Lumiko of Project Kat had recovered and adapted to thier abilities and set out to the border. As they flew off, each wearing a red, gold and black uniform, the colours of the Katigasnian flag.

Spotting two men flying toward the capital, they moved to intercept. "They've managed to recruite villians?"
"Seems so."
"Then let's stop them."

Tibor and Lumiko intercepted Haze and Hatman and said in unison, "Halt villians."

"I'm taking a break to find myself. I wasn't ready yet for his training. Plus I need to fight my inner demons." Arthur said with a firm tone.

"Also about Diaphanous. I just want to see and I was in Australia. While I'm waiting why don't I talk with you? Also truce? I really don't want to fight anymore." Arthur moved over to a chair and sat down.

Tibor and Lumiko intercepted Haze and Hatman and said in unison, "Halt villians."


Haze looked at the two men. "We are not villians," Haze replied to the two men. "We wish to speak with the head of your government."

"You came from Galvania, the enemies of Katigasnia and of our king." Tibor stated
"Thus you are foemen of Katigasnia and villians." Lumiko added, "You shall take a message to your masters that this land shall never be under thier control, so begone."

Haze looked at Hatman and then back at the men. "No we didn't come from Galvania. We are with the NJLU. Step aside and let us see your king." Haze flew past the two men.

"You will leave now, or you shall be made to leave." Lumiko replied as Tibor quickly moved to block Haze.

"That is pretty straight forwards," said Carl. He looked at Starfire. "Your name is Starfire? I have heard of you. They say that you are a great warrior, and also wise. Tell me, what is greatest desire of all women? It is a question that my ancestor, the first King Arthur Pendragon of Britain, answered long ago. Answer it, and you will have my consent to join the NJLU, provided my master gives his consent as well."

"Ice, we have to pin him into temperatures close to absolute zero to annhilate him." Sacer growled watching Masozi deflect the light with the spear and gracefully avoid every strike.

"Something isn't right, he shouldn't be quicker than Fortuna even with the spear. We have to fight in unison to trap him long enough to peel the spear from him. He shouldn't even be able to touch the artifact!"

The spear itself was completely absorbed into the demon's flesh as he reverted to his snake form that shot into the sky and looked back down at the church. The beast was massive, its body length was immeasurable and its mouth alone could swollow the church whole. The monster's body gleamed with dark red energy as its body wrapped into the darkened skies.

Alison and Mike had been escorted back to Katigasnia after Hatman and Haze had departed. Before they left, Hatman had to reassure Alison that 'Adam' was safe and well. Before she could enquire further Hatman and Haze were already in the air.

The pair were almost at their destination when two strangers had flown up and intercepted them. After the initial discourse Haze attempted to fly past but was blocked,

"You will leave now, or you shall be made to leave." Lumiko replied as Tibor quickly moved to block Haze.

"Your country and king are in grave danger and not from us!" Hatman replied impatiently, "Just what must we do to convince you?"

...

"Why should we believe mercenary scum in the service of Katigasnia's enemies?" Lumiko asked with Tibor adding, "Now begone or face the consequences."

Fortuna, being able to control weather, shot out ice about the temperature of liquid nitrogen. It should freeze the demon, and he was hit, shatter him into a million pieces. She proceeded to coat the demon with the unusual ice hoping this would work.

She waited to see if it stopped him. If they needed cold, that was about as cold as it got.

"Hope this works guys!"

The massive serpant flailed about wildly until finally it fell from the air like a dead rock. It's once electric body was frozen solid as it continued its free fall towards the city. Sacer flew under it trying to stop the monster from curshing the city; like Atlas holding the world, Sacer stopped the snake a meer sixty feet from the ground. Every angelic muscle ripped and bulged as he struggled keeping the juggernaut in the air.

Haze replied, "We mean you no harm. We wish to speak with your king. It is very important for us to speak with him. If we don't then your country could be in grave danger." Haze moved past the two guards.

Starfire looked at the younger dragon and smiled. She then said, "You are quite clever." Starfire began to think about the question. She then remembered the tale of The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragn. She thought the story over in her head. King Arthur and Sir Gawain ran throughout the country asking random women what was their greatest desire. If King Arthur didn't get the correct answer he would have been slain. Some said truly frivolous things. King Arthur found one with the correct answer. She wouldn't tell him unless Sir Gawain married her. Sir Gawain married her to save his King's life. Dame Ragn told him the answer and then the King told the knight who wished to kill him. The knight spared the King's life.

Starfire looked up from her thought and said, "This is what your king said." Starfire than told her answer. "What women desire most, from rich men and from poor is sovereignty. That is what the great king said. He said we want rule over the manliest of men. He then said once we are sovereign over men then we are happy.

Starfire waited for Carl's reply to her answer.

Guardian soared down below the giant snake, using his strength to help Sacer. "I somehow believe that we are not done with him yet...how do we get the spear out?"

Enertro watched Arther suspiciously, having invited himself in. "Diaphanous is on the roof currently," he said quietly as he closed the door.

"Truce? Sure. What are these inner demons you speak about?"

"Actually." He paused laughing still grunting under the massive burden. "I don't know. There's not a doubt in my mind that he'll be back soon enough, the earth simply does not produce the type of freezing that we'll need to kill this serpent."

"You wish to harm our king." Tibor replied, "Not help him."

Haze thought to himself, These guys are crazy. Haze repeated himself, "Move out of our way. Your country will be at stake if you don't let us see your king."

Arthur looked around for a bit then back toward Enertro. He sighed then started to speak. "My inner demons are my angry and my great fear of Black Flash or known to non-speedsters as Death. That bastard is after and is trying to take everything I love. Including my one true love Candace."

Candace sat in the room, channel surfing, and touring the place. It was not so much a room as an amazingly glorious suite, which had to be about 3000 square feet at least. It was like a large luxurious home.

She decided she would order some room service while waiting for Arthur.

Let's see if the cheesecake here is as good as the last hotel. she mused, knowing it would be far better, as they had a world-wide known dessert chef.

Candace called down to room service and ordered two slices of cheesecake and sat back down on the bed. There was no need to order anything to drink. The refrigerator was full of sodas, beers, juices, milk, and there was also a fully stocked wine cooling refrigerator.

Australia was famous for it's shiraz, so she decided to open a bottle. She wasn't a big drinker, but she indulged occassionally, especially when it was the best of the best.

Candace poured herself a glass of wine and went back to the bed, completely relaxed and enjoying the room.

Fortuna yelled out to Guardian: "Then what do we do? Put it on a big choke chain and train it?! I have no idea how to get rid of this thing! Too bad it is in the form of a giant snake. I have always had an affection for snakes. However demon snakes are definitely an exception." she stated.

"Does anyone have any idea what we do with this thing? Sometimes I wish God would give us explicit instructions or something. A book, like Destroying Demons for Dummies!" she chuckled... In a situation such as this Fortuna's only method of coping was sometimes humor.

Diaphanous was still sitting on the roof thinking and singing. I suppose I should get back to Enertro. She smiled at the thought of being in her lover's arms.

Truth be told, she was actually looking forward to meeting Raven. It was just Nightwing who got on her last nerve.

"You wish to harm our king." Tibor replied, "Not help him."
"And you'll be in grave danger if you do not leave." Lumiko added

Hatman suddenly sensed an immediate threat, as though something or someone was about to strike,

"We speak the truth and we will not go until we have seen your King. And we will defend ourselves if you attack us."

Haze looked at Hatman and said, "It looks like we might have to fight them. They will not move out of our way." The two men just kept in front of the two heroes.

"We will defend our land against lying foreign mercenaries and foreign soldiers." Tibor stated flately.
"So begone and carry that message to your masters." Lumiko added

Haze said, "Enough of this." Haze pushed through the two soldiers.

As Haze tried to push past, Tibor and Lumiko grabbed an arm each and threw him backward. "This is your final warning, depart or face the consequences."

In a flash, Hatman drew his sai and locked them together. The blades grew into the Soul Sword,

"We don't have time for this! The only consequences will be a dead King if you do not cooperate!"

"We do not deal with terrorists, criminals nor enemies of Katigasnia." Tibor replied, quickly speeding at Hatman, throwing a punch intended to connect with his jaw.

"Major mistake man," Haze yelled to the person charging at Hatman. Haze quickly created a telekinetic barrier to block Tibor's attack. He then withdrew his liquid gold staff. He then smacked Tibor over the head with it. "We did not want violence, but you started it."

Lumiko moved to block Tibor from Haze's attack, deflecting the staff. "Wrong, your companion started this, but we will finish it." He said as he moved at the staff weilding man, snapping a kick at him, while Tibor moved at Hatman again.

Haze dodged Lumiko's kick quickly and then had the staff transform into a lasso. He then threw it around Lumiko and threw him into Tibor.

While Haze was swinging Lumiko around with the lasso, Tibor had moved so that Hatman was between Lumiko's arc and Tibor, making it necessary for Haze to bash his companion if Haze wanted to get at him.

Carl laughed. After he was done, he stood, and bowed slightly to show his respect for Starfire's answer. "You know well the stories of my ancestor, the mythical first great king of Britain. You are correct in every point, for your sex is only truly happy when it controls mine, and thus we must all remain perpetually unhappy. You have great wisdom, and for such a prominent member of the NJLU to have that, and also come for me personally, is enough. You have honored me, so therefore, I shall honor you by agrreing to join, though I cannot do so unless my master agrees."

Carl's master had grinned when Starfire had answered the riddle. It was an old classic, and she had done it quite rapidly. "I see that Carl would be in the company of those that would teach him much. He still has a great amount to learn, but I believe that this would be a good way for him to learn the ways of the world, and his duty towards it. You have my consent, provided that Carl joins only as a aprovisional member for now, and that I be allowed to require his return here whenever I feel that it is proper for him to learn more of the sacred teachings of the dragons. You may go, but first, the fish nearly ready, and as you are our guest, I would request that you remain, Starfire, and break bread with us."

Haze saw that Hatman was about to get nearly hit. He quickly had the rope untie itself and allowed inertia to carry Lumiko away from the group. He blasted Lumiko with a beam of telekinetic energy and then flew in to engage the man in battle. Haze took up a classic Capoeira stance. He looked at the the man and said, "Bring it."

Iron chains wrapped around the gargantuan beast from the sky the entire length of its body and the again around the two angels holding Masozi up.

"Well let's get moving then." He said still smiling just glad that Masozi was put down once and for all.

Lumiko quickly recovered and seeing Tibor about to deal with the idiot, went to deal with the other one. Pulling a vintage 'superman' he flew full speed at Hatman, both arms fully extended, his hands in fists.

"Do you know how stupid you look?" Tibor asked as he watched his opponent take a fighting stance in the air. Quickly speeding forward in the same style as Lumiko, a few feet away he pivoted one hundred and eighty degrees with the intention of smashing his feet into his opponent's gut.

Lumiko quickly recovered and seeing Tibor about to deal with the idiot, went to deal with the other one. Pulling a vintage 'superman' he flew full speed at Hatman, both arms fully extended, his hands in fists.

A split second before contact, Hatman dropped from the sky and arced his sword upward and across as Tibor flew straight over him. Hatman curved back up and twisted round as Tibor turned,

"Not as stupid as having a cut uniform methinks?" retorted Hatman, his sword glinting in the light. He then pulled the blade and the weapon reverted to the Soul Sai before sheathing them, "Now enough!"

As you can see Fenrir has grown much much weaker and much wiser."

The two carried the behemoth snake in the sky northwards were they could safely work on extracting the spear.

Diaphanous sat on the roof, continuing her singing and her feelings of bad Mojo were getting worse. She did not know how, but the world was falling apart in more ways than one. Her songs became more despairing. As she sang this one, she was standing up and screaming into the sky:

Her mood, the concern, the bad Mojo, affected what she sang... Diaphanous was oblivious to whether or not anyone could hear her, which was likely, as she was standing on top of a huge building screaming at the top of her lungs.

Enertro was about to sit in a chair near Arthur when he heard what sounded like Diaphanous on the roof.

"Arthur, please excuse me," he said as he walked out the door and ran up a nearby staircase to the roof.

"Dia, my love! What are you doing? Come over here!" Enertro shouted, unsure if she was meaning to commit suicide or something like that.

"Oh, Enertro... I did not mean to keep you so long." Diaphanous replied. "I just got to singing, and I am feeling some very bad Mojo... and the songs I was singing changed a bit, I guess." She gave him a wan smile.

"Everyone thinks I am crazy." She sighed and walked to Enertro and held him for a bit. She felt she needed comfort. "Enertro, I think the world itself is in serious trouble right now...

"I suppose we should go back to the room." Diaphanous said as she looked at Enertro with worry in her eyes. "Being with you always relaxes me." She kissed him on the cheek.

Phantom Haze looked at Tibor and said, "You don't realize what I am doing do you?" As soon as Tibor was within five feet Haze used his feet to grab Tibor. Why still having Tibor in his legs he dove towards the ground. At the last the minute Haze did a flip and slung Tibor head first into the ground. He was too close to the ground to be able to pull up.

"They are jealous my love...all of them. You are not crazy at all...except maybe crazy in love," he laughed. He kissed her sweetly on the lips .

"I'm afraid we cannot have a night to ourselves quite yet. Arthur, or Quicksilver, is down there to speak with us," Enertro said as he kissed Diaphanous down her neck.

After waiting for a response from Enertro, the group had nothing. "Enertro must not be willing to come. He's smarter than we thought." Acillatem sat in thought. "The summoning can't start now. It has to begin at the perfect time. When it does, Enertro, and the rest of the evil world, will fall. Prism, do you realize this? Thta when all is done, we will rule the world." Prism sat back in thought. Enertro had promised him the smae thing awhile back. Maybe these guys were just like Enertro? No, they were different. They had done so much to help him. "Yes, I do." Prism walked over to Surge and Legion. "Hows it going clowns?"

A green light zipped back and forth before landing before Enertro and Dia. Athena dropped to her face as Fenrir landed gracefully behind her.

"Why'd you do that!?" She yelled at the wolf with two large guns in hand.

"Sacer told me to keep you safe at all costs." He replied. "Knowing you, you would charge into battle head first, get killed, and then he's angry again. I don't want to see the Fallen Angel ever again."

"I can take care of myself." Athena growled before holstering her weapons and frowning at Enertro and Dia. "Stupid dog made me miss the fight, so what did I miss other than that?"

Two men in black cloaks walked over a hill. One had a blue symbol of water on there shoulder. The other had the red, Chinese symbol or fire on his. Fire looked over at water and said, "From here we depart my brother." Water nodded and said, "Yes it is. I must find the one they call Morph." Fire smiled and said, "I need to find the one they call Prism. This should be rather interesting." Water smiled and started walking away from Fire. Fire began to walk in the opposite direction.

"Fenrir, Athena! What... I do not understand?" She responded.

Arthur waited, but he didn't care how long it took or if they never came back. He could be faster then time itself. Looking at himself in the mirror he put his hand in his blond hair. Then he move his hand threw it. Sighing he wondered when Black Flash would finally catch up to him.

As Hatman cut Tibor's uniform, and Haze grabbed him in an attempted to preform a pile-driver something that would have been much worse if it weren't for Tibor's toughness, Lumiko smashed full force into Hatman, driving both fists into his back.

A stunned, bruised, possibly mildly concussed and most definately mad, Tibor pulled himself out of the ground and launched himself back up into the ground to deal with Haze.

To Fenrir and Athena, Diaphanous replied, "You mean Sacer wants you watching us? Trust me, we are not running into anything. However, Surge and Legion are being held hostage and possibly being tortured by Prism. He wants to kill Enertro." Diaphanous looked at them sadly and rubbed Enertro's back.

"But that is not all. Sacer is obviously involved with something else... and, you can laugh... I feel horrible Mojo. There are more disasters happening around the world. I know it. Apocalyptic disasters." Diaphanous continued.

"And then there is Nightwing who is going to put me into a rage that may make this all a moot point. I am trying to stop my anger, however, knowing my problem, and baiting Enertro and I to make us angry is idiotic. I cannot stand him. Can he not see that?" Diaphanous shook her head.

She telepathically projected to Enertro, please do not respond to Nightwing, no matter what he says. Your arguing is angering me so much. Moreover, we know you have nothing to prove. I am trying to get Sacer to get Surge and Legion away from Prism.

"Without trying, I can zero in on extreme hate, and of course there was the TV threat to Enertro. Prism seems to have hooked up with some... supernatural type creatures, intent on dominating the world. I can only think of Alucard as an analogy of this group. Prism has lost his mind. He does not respond to me. It is as if he does not know me." Diaphanous told them, confused. "He thinks we abandoned him in the fight several months ago. The truth is, Enertro had to get me out of there or it is likely I would have blown up the earth. Surge stayed with him, and yet he is doing such horrid things to him. I do not understand." Tears ran down Diaphanous' face.

Diaphanous chucked and looked at Enertro. "And to think Surge and I were nearly mortal enemies. If anyone can help there, it is I. No one can sense me with any magic of any type when I am invisible... my physical structure splits apart. Even as I am now, anything can run through me without hurting me." Diaphanous then took her Kodachi and ran it right through her heart and back out... nothing, no blood. "These supernatural, for lack of a better word, perhaps Demons? are manipulating Prism somewhat, but Prism wants this. I want protection for Enertro, and Fenrir, I want the angels to free Surge and Legion." She looked at the wolf begging.

"Enertro and I are not the same people we were... we enjoy a relaxing calm life of retirement with no plans to harm anyone. The fact that we are soul mates has changed us." She kissed Enertro on the cheek and smiled. "Perhaps Fortuna has blessed us. That does not mean that some members of the NJLU do not make us sick. I try not to think of them, as uncontrollable events begin. I do not see why Nightwing does not understand he is contributing to this. He is very ignorant. He even told me he saved my life, which he never did. Nightwing is making things worse. I do not understand." Diaphanous continued.

"He is finding Raven to help me control my anger. I am so looking forward to meeting her. At this rate, the world is in more danger from me than the many disasters happening." She looked up at Fenrir and Athena.

"I can feel it... there are many disasters... very dangerous, all happening now, and no one, not even the angels know about it... neither do I. I can feel the bad Mojo and it is the worst I have ever felt." She looked at them with concern. "I was hoping Sacer, Guardian, and Fortuna could help with these problems." She looked down. "We are looking at the end.

"If they are busy with severe trouble, perhaps I should at least go and get Surge and Legion... that I can do." Diaphanous put a finger over Enertro's mouth before he could protest. "I know I can do this... but there is the rage issue." She sighed. "I must meet Raven and learn quickly."

After explaining everything to Fenrir and Athena, Diaphanous continued,

"I have kept Arthur waiting too long. Please think over everything I said." Diaphanous asked Fenrir and Athena.

"I must go speak with Arthur. If you want me I will be in the hotel room." She kissed Enertro and looked at him with pure love and reassurance. "Remember, I will never let anything to happen to you." She brushed her lips against his and hugged him. She then sunk through the floor to the suite leaving Enertro to speak to Fenrir and Athena.

Diaphanous came through the ceiling and landed softly on the floor. "Hello Arthur, it has been a long time." She sat on the bed and crossed her legs.

"I hope there is no animosity left. Those security men were innocent. I had to stop you." She explained. "Also, for your information, Enertro and I have no desire to cause any trouble anymore. Our love has changed us." She smiled. "Love can do that. What can I do for you Arthur? Diaphanous asked.

Waiting for Arthur was taking longer than she expected. Candace summoned the concierge and had him bring up a shortie black nightgown. It looked much nicer, and more alluring than the big T-shirt. She tipped him well.

With all the time it was taking for Arthur to get back, she was getting drunk. She looked around for the CD selection. It was amazing. She could barely decide on what to listen to, and then she chose the ambient, but odd, David Sylvian, "Gone to Earth."

I wonder when Arthur will be back? Candace mused.

Diaphanous came through the ceiling and landed softly on the floor. "Hello Arthur, it has been a long time." She sat on the bed and crossed her legs.

"I hope there is no animosity left. Those security men were innocent. I had to stop you." She explained. "Also, for your information, Enertro and I have no desire to cause any trouble anymore. Our love has changed us." She smiled. "Love can do that. What can I do for you Arthur? Diaphanous asked.

"Yes it has been a while since our last encounter. That would have to be back in Mexico when Enertro and you ran." Arthur watched her.

"There is none left, but those men were not innocent. They worked for Enertro and he was declared a villian by the NJLU. I told them not to make any sounds. I wasn't going to kill them. Until they dumb captain alerted you. It was either going to my life or theirs. So I choose theirs. Diaphanous I wanted to let you know that Quickspeed is dead. He die when you showed that video of me. You ruined me. If anyone every finds out that I'm Quickspeed I will die. That's why I now go as Kid Flash. Also since six months I have found love. It has changed me. In fact my love is still waiting for me. " Arthur didn't smile but just kept a emotionless face. "I just wanted to tell you if you ever need me I will come in a blink of an eye." Arthur got up and moved over to Diaphanous. He kissed her on the cheek. Then walked out the door back to his room. Once he got back to his room he walked inside and started to sing a old Beach Boys tune.

Hatman was too slow and felt the full impact of Lumiko slamming into him. Hatman's trajectory sent him flying through a concrete wall with morta and cement scattering everywhere.

There was silence for a moment and then movement. Suddenly a large chunk of wall was hurtling toward Lumiko, followed by Hatman stumbling from the debris...

But they were innocent. They just needed the paycheck. Giving him the tape will not do much considering every news station in the country has a copy. Arthur Arthur... they were innocent. This is the problem with the NJLU. They have no right to 'declare' anything. Diaphanous contemplated, waiting for Enertro.

It was a long day. A stressful day.

Lumiko dodged the concrete and said to Hatman, "Now leave and never return."

Arthur knew those bastards were not innocent. He killed them because he would have died. Those men could have turned Enertro in, but they didn't after singing the song he went into this room and laid down on his bed. "Hello Candace what have you been doing since I was gone?" He kissed her on the cheek and put on some sleeping cloths. Looking around he sighed.

"Mostly drinking wine!" Candace giggled, obviously a bit drunk. "And I got something to sleep in, and I toured the suite. It is so beautiful." She smiled at Arthur.

"I have a surprise for you in the fridge." She grinned. Candace had already eaten her cheesecake. It was to die for.

"Did you get your business done, Arthur?" Candace asked.

"Yeah you could say that." Arthur could tell that Candace was drunk. He was alittle afraid. In his whole life Arthur had never drank alcholic beverage. Getting up he looked in the fridge and found the cheesecake. Eating it he thought it was delicious. "Thank Candace for getting me the cheesecake. It was very good." Arthur kissed her on the lips and could taste the wine. He kissing he stopped and looked at her.

"You are a Beach Boys fan?" Candace asked and burst out laughing. "We differ there very much. That is why I have David Sylvian on the stereo." She grinned.

"You are so sweet. I apologize for my condition. I was just getting a little bored. The cheesecake is amazing, isn't it! I knew it would be. There is a world famous desert chef in the kitchen here." She smiled.

"I hope you aren't angry with me... because I drank wine. It isn't something I do regularly. In fact, rarely, that's why I'm drunk. I'm not used to it. I'm not so drunk as to not understand what is going on around me." She told Arthur.

"Arthur, you told me you would tell me in depth about your problems. I really want to know. It is important to me."

Then "Before the Bullfight" came on... one of Candace's favorite Sylvian songs... inspiring to her:

"Yeah Beach Boys are one the best bands ever. I think personally they are somewhat better then The Beatles. Also it's ok that you drink alittle wine, but not that much. I don't like it when people get drunk Candace." Getting up he turned off the muisc. Then he came back to her side. Arthur held her hand. He kissed her and looked at her.

"Well I started to get problems back after I got captured. I was faced with fighting Black Flash. He literally beat me to death, but I survived. I was scared of it. The face and everything. Its face still haunts me to this day. All it wants to do it kill me. I just saw it yesterday when you almost got hit by that truck. Now Black Flash is after you. Death and me are in a titanic race and the Black Flash always wins."

"You are right. Technically and musically, the Beach Boys were pioneers. But I still prefer rather rare music sometimes." Candace smiled.

"Arthur, I am not that drunk. I want you to know that. I should say 'affected'.

"Now about this Black Flash. It has a body and a face and is death. With the word 'Flash', I assume it has something to do with speed? Your special powers? Why does it want to kill you? Or me? It makes no sense." Candace replied.

"Tell me more... If you listened to the lyrics of the song I was playing, it is how I feel. The incumbant does not always win. We try our best, however I do not understand this and I would like you to tell me in more detail."

As Hatman flew at him, Lumiko returned the favour and sped foreward at full speed toward Hatman, intending to kick the intruder out since he didn't take the hint to leave.

"Just please promise me that you will not get get drunk again." Arthur held her hand tightly and looked into her eyes with a serious look.

"Yes Black Flash is death in the form of speedsters. Since we move so fast we are the only ones who can see it. The main purpose of Black Flash is to make me become one with the Speed Force. The speed force is a dimension where Speedster go when they die or when we got faster then light. It wants to kill you so I will give up the race. Or if I die it will stop coming after you."

An aura of telekinetic energy formed around the body of Haze as Tibor flew towards him. Haze thought to himself, I am going to have a serious migrain after this. Haze yelled at the man, "You still want it." Haze's eyes started to glow as Haze looked into the man's eyes. He used hypnotism to freeze Tibor in his tracks. Then in a calming voice Haze said, "How did you get these powers?" In this state the man would tell Haze anything he wanted to know.

"Bite me goat-boy." He replied as he tried to lunged at Haze again. Haze's line of questioning was futile anyways as he didn't know how he'd gotten them, only that the goverment had was responsible.

Enertro smiled at Athena and Fenrir. "I believe Nightwing bought you keys close by to us, so just go to the reception desk and ask for them...Now if you don't mind, I'm going to have some much needed alone time with my soulmate," he chuckled as he walked back to his room. "I'm back, my love!" he called out to her, swiftly taking off his shirt, and flexing for Diaphanous, so she could see his muscular build.

"Have you explored the bar yet? I've almost gotten drunk before Arthur came...by the way, where did he go?"

"Do you think you or Fenrir would ever return to your darker forms?" Guardian asked as he helped Sacer.

As Hatman flew at him, Lumiko returned the favour and sped foreward at full speed toward Hatman, intending to kick the intruder out since he didn't take the hint to leave.

The movements of both individuals were far quicker than any normal eye could observe. As the distance between them was rapidly closing, Hatman suddenly became aware of something approaching from afar. No, many somethings and they were closing fast!

At the last micro-second, five Galvanian jet fighters roared toward the foresome as Hatman twisted and clapsed onto Lumiko before pulling himself and his opponant out of the way. The backwash from the fighters screeching overhead dispersed the two as they changed course toward the capital city,

Hatman immediately turned to Lumiko and said, "THERE'S your real threat! They must be heading to your capital city. We've got to stop them!!"

Stubborn one. Well there are other ways. Haze focused his mind and broke into Tibor's mind to see how he got the powers. Captain America formula. That stuff was locked up a long time ago. Haze saw that the two men had to go through horrible experiments to gain the powers. Haze thought to himself, What is the Katigasnian government doing? This is immoral. Suddenly fight jets flew over there heads. Haze quickly pulled Tibor out of the way and yelled to Hatman, "Let's go!" The two heroes speeded towards the capital city.

"And if you weren't interfering, we'd have dealt with them." Lumiko replied with a snarl. The two sped after both the planes and hero/villians. Meanwhile while much of the air-defence was made up of 1970s era AA guns, the capital was protected by modern SAM sites.

As the aircraft approached, each was brought down in turn, thought Tibor and Lumiko were slowed to catch and bring the wreakage down to avoid it killing the citizenry and thus Haze and Hatman could escape.

Haze looked at Hatman and said, "Follow me before those brickheads see us again." Haze and Hatman quietly snuck through the streets towards the castle.

The man of Water had just walked by when he saw the two super-soldiers catch the planes. Interesting, but not who I am looking for. The cloaked figure of water walked into a hostel and checked himself in. He went to a small room and rested. Tomorrow would be an interesting day.

"No, I won't get drunk again, Arthur... and I'm not that drunk." Candace pouted before asking, "I still don't understand this 'thing' you speak of. What does it look like? Why does it want to kill you? And why does it want to kill me? What race are you giving up? This makes no sense to me Arthur."

Candace looked at him, quite confused.

"Oh, Enertro..." Diaphanous purred. She loved looking at his perfect form.

She smiled at the love of her life.

"Arthur left. He has a room around here and a girlfriend now. The thing is, he does not believe that the security he killed were innocent. I did not even get the chance to tell him that it was not, as he said 'them or me'... that security would detain him, however not kill him. He feels justified. Perhaps in his mental state, believing his life was at stake, it does make sense.

"He also said that since they worked for you, the NJLU declared them villains! That damned NJLU has no right to declare anyone anything!" Diaphanous yelled, then took a deep breath and relaxed. Out on the ocean a funnel cloud began to form and dissipated immediately.

"Anyway, I think we are all on the same page now, Enertro.

"Excuse me a moment." Diaphanous went into the luxurious changing room and put on a very seductive gown... emerald green and came back to the bedroom. She sat down on the bed, a bit worn out.

"You know Enertro," she said as she stretched, "it has been a stressful day. Since you have been drinking all this time, would you find a good vintage shiraz and open a bottle? This is the land of the best shiraz, you know. I could use some relaxation."

Diaphanous was lying on the bed on her side, her knees bent and her head in her hands, her hair flowing all around her. She did not realize she looked quite erotic, but she did. She thought maybe later, if Enertro did not suggest it, she would use her telepathy to ask him for a massage.

Acillatem walked over to Prism. "EVerything is going according to plan. If it continues, we may be able to summon the demon tomorrow." "Sweet." Prism was ready for it. The world might be their's. And Enertro would die. Things would be good. He remebered what Acillatem had said to him when he first met him. That he had abilities that even he himself didn't know about. Prism wondered what those abilities were.

Enertro had walked over to the minibar and pulled out a bottle of shiraz. He opened it and took a whiff of the scent before pouring it out in two wine bottles.

"Relaxation? I was planning on inviting tons of people...mostly women and partying with them!" joked Enertro with a wide smile as he walked over to Diaphanous, his eyes scanning her waiting form...

"I'm only joking, my love...there is no one I would rather be with than you," he said as he sat down next to her, handing her one of the glasses of shiraz, adding a small kiss.

OOC: Roy Harper Jr. is Arsenal aka Speedy aka Green Arrow's former sidekick

Roy Harper Jr. looked up and said, "Dick, I haven't seen you in years. What makes you want to come and visit me on this fine morning when tornadoes are appearing in Alaska and nuclear explosions are being seen over the Virgin Islands? I really think that you and the rest of the NJLU should be out there investigating rather than harassing me here in a pub." Roy called a waitress over and told her to grab him two drinks.

Dick looked at Roy and said, "I am here about another former member of the NJLU, Roy. Have you heard from Raven lately? The person who is causing all of these disturbances doesn't know how to control her powers. She needs Raven to help her control her emotions."

Roy looked at Dick and said, "Why can't you train her?" Dick replied, "Let's just say that I am not as patient as I was when I trained James." Roy chuckled. The waitress brought Roy his drinks. Roy offered Dick one which Dick refused. Dick replied, "I must keep a stable mind tonight." Roy shrugged and said, "Your loss."

Dick then said, "So have you seen Raven." The door to the pub opened and a woman walked in. Roy smiled and said, "Yeah. Hey Rachel." Dick surprised looked back to see Raven walking towards their table. He couldn't believe Raven was found so easily. Rachel sat down in a chair in between Dick and Roy. She smiled and said, "Hello Roy. Hello Dick."

"Fenrir can't, but I can at will." He said grinning. "However I have absolutely no desire to do so. I understand why the world works the way it does and I agree with the harmony. All I wanted was to see was an end to suffering, but all I did was create it."

The two angels hovered at a reasonable speed high in the stratusphere with the frozen demon.

"I wonder if chucking the thing into space would work." Sacer said looking into the void.

Athena smiled warmly at the two.

"If you ever need us, just call." Fenrir wrapped his green energetic form around the woman before shooting back off the building.

"Thank you darling." Diaphanous replied to Enertro. "It has been a really long day." She sighed.

"Oh, this wine is fabulous! Good choice!" She sipped some more and then just shook her head over the day's events.

"What of the spear?" Guardian asked as he carried the giant snake.

"You know what's best for long days? Massages," Enertro said as he drank up the remainder of wine in his glass. He put his lips to Diaphanous' and kissed lightly as he pulled her shiraz from her hand, placing it on the nightstand nearby.

"Now I want you to relax, my love," he said as he gently rolled Diaphanous so she was facing away from Enertro, before he gently put his palms on her back and began to massage her.

"That's why I haven't done it already." Sacer replied smiling. "We'll take this heavy mother to a cold place and crave him up until we get the spear out."

"Enertro! We are truly two parts of a whole! I was going to ask you for a massage if you did not offer." Diaphanous giggled. "Ah, my soul mate. You are perfect."

She relaxed and let out a sigh as he began to expertly massage her back.

"How can I resist?" Enertro whispered in her ear as he massaged her back. "Someone as beautiful like you...it's hard to resist getting any closer..."

He kissed around her neck as he continued to massage her back, handing her the shiraz he took earlier.

Diaphanous closed her eyes. "MMmmmm... being with you is nothing less than paradise, Enertro. I love you so very much... as I said, I cannot express the depth of my love in any way... There is no way, my love."

She was enraptured in the wonderful massage, kisses, and wine.

"We were meant to be...I remember when you first saved me when Decimus was Fenrir...and who can forget the helicopter ride?" he smiled as he stopped, kissing Diaphanous up her back. "That had to be one of my favorite days..."

"Mine too, Enertro... you do not forget the day you meet your soul mate! And now we are also husband and wife. It is no surprise that you are the only one who can calm my uncontrolable rages and stop the random damage." Diaphanous smiled and rolled over, kissing him slowly and passionately. "I am the luckiest person on this earth..." Diaphanous kissed him again, feeling her hunger for him rising.

Tibor and Lumiko lost track of the two as they dealt with the wreakages of the planes, and after radioing in the report, continued on to thier intended destination.

"That's why I haven't done it already." Sacer replied smiling. "We'll take this heavy mother to a cold place and crave him up until we get the spear out."

"Before Fortuna dealt with him," he nodded to Fortuna," He acted as though he knew you before. Were you both friends at one point?"

Enertro replied with another kiss, as he gently pulled off her top. "Diaphanous...are you thinking what I am?" he asked as his hands slipped below her waist.

"When I was a servant to Alucard, him and I were best friends." Sacer said ashamed. "We...well...nevermind."

The angel moved a little faster as he stretched his wing out even further.

ooc: forgive me about the Fortuna question. I can't remember. Can you remind me?

"Well what do you think Enertro," Diaphanous smiled slyly at Enertro, her eyes smoldering, already aching for him. Her hands explored his body and rubbed his perfect muscles, as she kissed him, slowly, teasingly, and erotically.

Dick looked over at Raven and said, "Raven I have been trying to find you for three months. Why didn't you return the pages?" Raven sighed and took Arsenal's other drink. "Well I was tired of the superhero life. It was starting to become stressful and I had to make sure that I kept my emotions intact."

She drank the beer and looked around. She then said, "Why were you searching for me so much anyway?" Dick replied, "You remember Diaphanous?" Raven replied, "That girl who was so impatient with the NJLU she became a villian and started running around with that Enertro-guy who wanted what all villians want, world domination."

Dick nodded and said, "She can't control her powers and she needs someone to train her." Raven looked at Nightwing and said, "Why don't you do it? You did great with James." Nightwing shook his head and said, "You would be a much better match. She and I don't get along very well. She reminds me of sandpaper. Very abrasive."

Raven looked at Nightwing and said, "Are you sure you aren't the abrasive one Dick." Nightwing scowled and Raven said, "Her powers can't be too out of control, right. I mean it is not like she is the cause of those mushroom clouds of the Virgin Isles." Dick and Roy stared at her with a blank expression. Raven gasped and said, "She caused that. Wow, she does need a teacher." Roy added in, "And you are the only one who could do it." Raven looked at Nightwing and said, "Where is she?" Nightwing replied, "At the hotel with Enertro. They had been talking about doing something. I wasn't paying that much attention to them." Roy replied, "Sure you weren't, Dick." Dick retorted with the middle finger. Roy then said, "That's not very nice." Dick replied, "Yeah, yeah."

He then looked at Raven and said, "Are you going to train her or not?" Raven sat there and looked towards the bar and back at Dick and Roy. She then said, "Have her meet me on the beach at noon. Our lesson will begin there. She needs to come alone." Dick smiled and said, "Okay."

The three old friends sat back for the rest of the night and talked about old times in the Teen Titans. They stayed there until the owner forced them out. Then they all went back to there respective rooms. Nightwing fell asleep as soon as he hit the bed. He would tell Diaphanous where to go in the morning.

"I think you want some more Shiraz," laughed Enertro as he poured more wine in her glass. He slowly tipped the bottle over his lips and drank deeply from the bottle. He had so much stress, between this whole excapade, keeping Diaphanous happy, the capture of Surge and Legion, and the loss of his mansion...now he just needed to drown it out with wine and his love.

He put the bottle next to Dia's glass and kissed her passionately.

Diaphanous drank the Shiraz from Enertro's mouth. "If that is not the best wine glass in the world, I do not know what is." She smiled.

"Enertro?", she stroked his face, "remember, I am a telepath, I can feel your pain. Please do not go through trouble to keep me happy. Your very existence keeps me happy." She looked down... "I know how painful it is... Legion and Surge. Do not try to hide it from me. As a matter of fact, I was on the roof trying to summon some divine help, so to speak, but they must be busy with something horrible." Diaphanous sighed.

"Here, roll over, and then again." Enertro was lying on his stomach. Diaphanous straddled him and began to massage his muscular shoulders, and his scalp, nibbling on his neck and ears. "I think maybe you need the massage more than you want to be intimate this evening, am I right my love?" she asked.

"Also, I could try to free Surge and Legion myself... ALONE! I cannot be detected and you can. They have a trap out for you and they are after you alone." Diaphanous continued and tried to put a bit of humor into the situation;

"Can you believe I am concerned about Surge and want to save him?!" She hoped that put a smile on Enertro's face.

"Please, whatever you do; do not go out of your way for me at all. If you would like a long massage and to go to sleep, I am just fine with that my love. Today has been tough on both of us, but it is your friends who are being held captive.

"You just let me know what you want to do and I will do it." She stated.

"No my love. Together we shall do this...I will feel bad if I had you save them yourself."

Enertro laughed as she spoke about saving Surge, her old bully...if that was a good word to use...They just didn't get along before...

He let out a small moan of pleasure as she massaged his shoulders. "My love, any moment I see you, I wish to have an intimate moment," he chuckled quietly. "We are already half dressed...why don't we just go the rest of the way? After some more of this massage of course."

Candace looked at him, quite confused.

"Ok." Arthur knew that she was drunk, but didn't want to make her upset.

"It looks exactly the Flash. You remember the Flash he died a couple of years ago. Well all execept Black Flash wears all Black and it's face looks like a zombie. It wants to end my life because it the manifestion of death for Speedsters. It wants to kill you because it wants to destroy anything I ever loved. Also the race I meant was life. Life is just a big race to Black Flash and the finish line is where I die."

"OK, that sounds perfect Enertro." Diaphanous continued to massage Enertro and try to get him to relax.

"Arthur, I understand death, but why is death after you? Everyone dies, and is in the race called life. This is what I don't understand. Aside from that, if I can't see this Black Flash, how will I know when it's there?" Candace replied. "Is it an evil anti-speedster thing? I really don't get it."

Then Candace realized what Arthur said. Black flash was after her because he loved her. She was overjoyed, as she loved him too.

Candace reached over and kissed him on the cheek and held him.

"I can see it. So I will protect you. Death hates speedsters. We can cheat death many times over. Since we move so fast we can protect ourselves and other people. Also that we can go back in time and save other people. Well it isn't evil in the sense. It is just doing its job which happens to be death." Arthur kissed her and hugged. He stayed in that position and never wanted to let go.

Candace was relishing their hug. She really loved Arthur. "Why would it want me? I can't cheat death. Is this being vengeful, that it tries to hurt you because you can?

"Can you somehow teach me to see it? Maybe by bringing me speeding with you?"

Candace held Arthur tighter. "Please don't worry."

"It wants you so I will give up. Once you die it thinks I will quit from the race. I can't hurt. Nothing can. There is no way I can teach you to see it. Only speedsters can see it. Meaning Impulse and me are the only ones to live with the curse." Arthur said as he held onto Candace.

Candace replied, "I still don't understand why? Why would this form of death seek you out? Regular death doesn't seek people out to yank them from the 'race of life', so to speak." She was frustrated.

"I still don't get it Arthur!" she exclaimed. "Can you explain this further?"

"I don't know why." Arthur got up and held his head. He shook it and looked at Candace. "Can we please stop talking about this?"

"I'm sorry Arthur! I didn't mean to upset you!" Candace had tears welling up in her eyes. "I will just shut up and go to sleep. I am only upsetting you."

She turned over and put her face in the pillow. She was just curious. It made no sense to her. She thought he knew why. She began to cry over the fact that she upset him when she was trying to comfort him.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry..." she repeated.

"There's nothing to be sorry for. I should be sorry. It's just so complex. It took even time for me to understand all of it. Maybe tommorrow I can let you met the two Flashes." Arthur hugged her then held her chin. He kissed her and went into the bed. In the bed he was still close to her.

Candace snuggled up to Arthur. "I just don't want to hurt you. I was trying to make you feel better... trying to understand. I love you, you know."

She put her head on his chest and felt comforted.

"I love you too. I understand what you were trying to do." Arthur said as he felt her head against his chest.

"I'm glad. The last thing in the world I want to do is hurt you." Candace said, beginning to doze off.

OOC: I take it that Arthur is going to carry Candace into the Speed Force? Canad I need to talk to you about that in the OOC thread.

By now, Hatman and Haze had ducked into a secluded area away from searching eyes,

"Well this is just great!" said Hatman, the sarcasm not lost on Haze, "We come here to stop the enemy, only to end up being labelled AS the enemy!"

He paused for a moment as he rubbed his back. Lumiko certainly hadn't held anything back when he rammed into him and the concrete wall hadn't helped either,

"We've got to find a way into the palace and warn the King without attracting too much undesirable attention. Any ideas?"

Haze replied sarcastically, "We could do like Batman always did. In through the roof for a grand entrance." Haze looked towards the castle. He thought to himself, There is always a back door. Haze then looked at Hatman and said, "Hold on." Haze summoned his third eye technique and used it to find an entrance to the castle. A few moments later it found an entrance that was perfect. A window that was left open on the second floor. Haze looked at Hatman and said, "Come on."
