"Ah...compliment the pool I see..." she chuckled quietly as she stretched. "What kind of game did you want to play? Or is this pool enough for you?"

"By the way, it is very pleasant to meet you, Azrael," Rimoru smiled sweetly.

Everyone seems busy with other things, I wonder what I should do?

The werewolf walked outside and gazed at the massive moon before a carrier pigeon landed and cocked its head at him. Beau's low chuckle eventually turned into a mad cackle. He clutched the bird in his grasp before pulling its head off and tossing it aside. He scanned the small note attached to it and drew a massive grin. Lifting his snout into the air he began sprinting the direction the bird came from with amazing speeds.

"What kind of games do you have?" He asked, "And for now the pool is good, also it's a pleasure to meet you as well." He added as he striped down to a pair of shorts, his clothes and stuff being put into nothingness and staying there.

He then executed a near perfect swan dive into the pool.

"A-a-a...a child?" Relthor asked nervously, backing away slightly.

"That's...Wonderful!" he laughed. "That's great news!"

He smiled at her, giving her a passionate kiss.

"A child? Wow!" he chuckled, squeezing her tightly. "I...I was worried I would never get a child!"

"Karasu, I will treat the child as my own! If my mate still remains, we will live together if you want. I know she'll understand!"

"Oh Karasu...this is wonderful!" he kissed her again, before feeling her stomach, realizing that nothing would probably be visible this early. "I love you Karasu!"

"That's true," Inzikai chuckled. "However, you barely said anything to me when we first met, but now look, we talk freely to each other."

"I have board games...boring...we can always come up with a game!" she laughed as she backflipped into the pool after Lorathin, swimming up to the side of him.

Kalzog had wandered the halls randomly, getting himself lost. He crossed the stairs several times before finally getting fed up and walking outside.

Rimoru and Lorathin...in a pool...Inzikai and Ar'mai...at the table...Cadeyrn...Fido...suspicious... He thought as he watched the wolf slink off towards a certain direction. Kalzog began to follow at a distance, curious as to what the wolf man was up to.

"Ever heard of tennis?" He asked as she swam up to him, where he was treading water.

"Ten-is? Is this some sort of boring math game?" Rimoru asked as she lazily did the backstroke around Lorathin.

"Math comes into it a little bit, but it's a quite physical game." He replied as he spun to follow her as he treaded water.

Crouching somehow seemed...undignified. At least, for the situation. But with a shrug of her shoulders, Teralynn complied and entered the circle, crouching down.

Is that...Inzikai? Couldn't be...why would he send them here if he was going to be here himself? Unless this was all a part of a bigger plan...

Maverion stepped out into the hallway again and out of sight of the people dining. He sent his thoughts out to the demon lieutenant, Lord Rothargot, do you know that Lord Inzikai is here?

Beau slipped into the building where the bird's scent stopped. It was magnificent, quite luxiorous. He ripped open a chest in the corner and saw what looked like 40lbs of gold dust.

"Only dragons can emit this kind of gold." He said running finger through the fine powder.

As he silently proceeded upstairs he saw all of Cadeyrn's precious children sleeping away. They had no idea what kind of monster was only feet from them.

Cadeyrn, you killed my mate and my closest friends, and on top of that you're a human. Eye for an eye and then some, you're going to suffer when you wake up tomorrow.

The wolf lurched over to Marlene who looked as if she was having a nightmare. The brutal creature reach its claw out towards her throat, but something restrained him from crushing the child's neck. As hard as he tried he couldn't bring himself to kill a single one of them.

"Filthy maggots, why can't I-" He was interrupted by Denzel's waking voice.

"Cade, is that you?" The woozy child asked the shadowy figure. Quickly Beau shifted into human form.

He cleared his throat and tried to mimic Cadeyrn's voice. "Look I have to take Marlene somewhere ok? I want it to be a surprise to her so sssshhh ok?" The fake mercenary whispered as Denzel hesistantly agreed by rolling back to sleep.

He picked the thirteen year old up out of bed and carried her out of the house where he turned back into his true form.

I may not be able to kill her, but I know someone who can.

Inzikai? Why would he be here? Rothargot thought back as he folded his wings in front of Teralynn and himself. Get him by himself and Find out why he is here.

Rothargot chanted something in an ancient language. The circle around them glowed bright Red, as three horn-like symbols appeared in the middle.

The smell of smog, ash, and fire blasted into the nostrals of Rothargot and Teralynn. "Watch your step, Teralynn. The Underworld is not a safe place..." he said as he folded his wings behind his back, revealing a world tinted in Red.

Lava coursed down many of the walls, down to a massive pit of lava. In the distance, one could see thousands of stone bridges across the river of lava. Rothargot and Teralynn were on one of the many bridges.

"Follow me," Rothargot said as he began to walk towards a large opening in the wall.

"Oh, you must tell me!" Rimoru said excitedly, suddenly stopping herself in the water, doing the doggy paddle until she was close to Lorathin.

"It's easier to show that explain." He replied, "If you'd like after the swim I can show you how to play." He offered rotating slightly as her close proximity was off-setting his treading of water.

"Oh, please do!" she replied like a child.

Noticing Lorathin moving away, she grinned mischieviously as she splashed some water at him.

Getting splashed only nessesitated a reaction, and action became reaction as he slashed her back. "Perhaps you'll even like it enought to get a court built on the palace." He added

Beau sprinkled Tacitus Somnus "The Silent Sleep" into the girl's face.

"Cadeyrn, your preperation for every possible scenario is coming back to haunt you right now." The werewolf mused mocking his other half.

Suddenly Beau caught scent of an Ogre, not just any ogre, Kalzog. The beast sprinted towards the encrouching juggernaut and finally saw him.

"Trying to track me?" He yelled to Kalzog holding unconcious Marlene in his grasp.

"Maybe," Rimoru giggled, sticking her tongue out at Lorathin, before splashing him back. She swam underwater to avoid any more splashes from Azrael.

"Of course...I wouldn't want to let you have all the fun...besides, I owe you something," Kalzog replied, cracking his knuckles.

Teralynn coughed briefly as she unwittingly breathed in the awful air. She immediately felt the heat and stuffiness of the place. And Rothargot probably should not freeze this place over like he did at the tavern. Just great.

Without a word, she followed the demon to the opening.

Maverion was about to give an affirmative to Rothargot when he noticed that the demon's presence was gone. He furrowed his eyebrows. Something odd was going on here...

He would have liked to investigate things further, but not now. He was not certain how Inzikai would react to mindspeak, but he chanced it anyway. Scanning the people in the dining room with his mind, Mave locked on to Inzikai's and thought to him, Lord Inzikai, this is your servant Maverion, whom you sent along with Lord Rothargot. He wishes to know the reason for your presence here. You do not need to speak, merely think what you wish to say, and I will be able to hear you.

"Normally I would be more than happy, but unfortunately I'm quite busy here." He said holding the girl in the air by one arm. "This here is someone very important to Cadeyrn, and I'm going to make sure she is tortured in front of his very eyes."

The wolf looked at the human girl with disgust.

"Unfortunately she has quite a gift, so I'm debating whether to keep her around or not." He added looking back towards the Ogre.

He sputtered as he was splashed back. Her retreat underwater also prevented retaliation so he began swimming around trying to pace her submerged travel.

Rothargot finally stopped in a large room, before kneeling on one knee. "Tera, copy my every position. I must speak with Hapdebza...second only to Valtrox. Even us generals fear him..."

Kalzog looked at the girl with a stern look. "What gift?" he growled as he looked at the innocent girl.

Rimoru came back to the surface force some air, but was laughing joyously. She stuck her tongue out at Lorathin again, waving her arms at him.

Inzikai jumped in surprise as he heard Maverion's voice in his head. Why am I here? Why do you not have the book? he thought angrily. I'm here to ensure the book does not fall to these goon's hands. Perhaps I may also be able to...disrupt their trust...

"Divine sight my brutish friend, the gift to be able to see the future with dreams." The werewolf saif turning the preteen in air examining her. "She's going to turn into quite a beauty someday, well she was."

"And you plan on killing her?" he asked him, licking his lips as he watched her sleep.

"Hello again." He replied as he swam over so he was again treading water a few feet away from Rimoru.

"Hey you," she giggled as she wiped several strands of hair from her face. "Want to have a race?" she asked suddenly, a cocky grin forming on her face.

Teralynn gave her confirmation by doing exactly as Rothargot did, minus the thing with wings.

Empress Rimoru has not yet granted us permission to enter the library, but I believe she soon will, my lord, Maverion replied, trying to pacify the anger he heard in the Skizzarish's tone of thought. A while ago, this would have shaken him up more than it did now, but having traveled with Rothargot for some time now, who was likely more powerful than Inzikai, helped. It also did not hurt that it was a direct order from Rothargot for him to ask that question of Inzikai.

So the others with you wish to retrieve the book for themselves? What do you wish of us to do? Perhaps we can ruse them as to our identity and purpose here if they don't know who we are - although Empress Rimoru already knows full well who we are why we're here.

"Killing?" The werewolf rhetorically asked. "I have much bigger plans for her, Cadeyrn must feel eternal anguish."

"From where to where?" He asked

Inzikai thought on this suggestion for a while. Yes, fool them into thinking you are not part of my team, as we remain here. Yet you must keep Rothargot out of sight. His allegiance is not easily concealed.

"Cut the formalities, general," someone said. Suddenly, the wall opened it's eyes. No...not the wall.

A large figure walked out of the wall, slightly larger then even the mighty Rothargot. He wore a massive Red cloak, his face wreathed in shadows. His voice was thin and raspy, a deep contrast to Rothargot's deep and commanding voice.

"Who is this...tasty morsel?" asked the cloaked figure as he crept behind Teralynn.

"Stay away from her, Hapdebza. Valtrox wishes to see her," Rothargot replied sternly.

"Oh, I would not even think of harming her..." he said mischieviously.

"Watch your step, Hapdebza...she is under my protection, and I would not hesitate to cut you down..." Rothargot threatened, acid evident in his voice.

"Of course, General...of course..." A long snakelike tongue came out of Hapdebza's hood and approached Teralynn, setting itself on her cheek.

A roar echoed through the cavern, followed by a very heavy slam. The cavern walls creaked as several loose rocks fell from their previous spots. Rothargot held Hapdebza by the neck against the wall, his long tongue in the other hand. With a violent scream, Rothargot ripped the long tongue from the other demi-god. "My words must be obeyed, Hapdebza. Do not touch her..." he growled.

"Affirmed," garbled Hapdebza's voice, a light blue liquid oozing from his face. "Valtrox...is...busy...No time...to see anyone..." he began to gasp.

"Relay my message then. We will be back," Rothargot replied. "Come Tera, follow me."

"From one end to the other," Rimoru grinned. "And let's give this a little twist..."

"The loser has to do one specific thing that the winner specifies..."

"What exactly are you planning, Fido?" Kalzog asked suspiciously.

"I don't make bets that can be used for anything." Lorathin replied, "Limits must be set on any betting." He added as he was not one who would be silly enought to have that kind of obligation over his head.

"That's true," Inzikai chuckled. "However, you barely said anything to me when we first met, but now look, we talk freely to each other."

"If I remember correctly, which I do," she said with a grin, "It was you who opened the channels of communication by taking interest in me... not the other way around. So unless the Empress has anything to say to me... I will remain silent. However, I doubt she would say anything kind to me... she seems like the jealous type," Ar'mai added with a smile.

Salad Finished

"Yes...I suppose I may have started it..." Inzikai replied as he tried to Remember.

"But, only because you kept pulling pranks on my guards," he chuckled.

Inzikai noticed Ar'mai had finished her mountain of salad.

"That's quite a feat, Armai! I didn't know you could eat so much!" Inzikai laughed.

" Have room for more?" he asked, nudging his nearly full bowl towards the elf.

"What kind of limits do you want?" Rimoru asked Lorathin, with a childish gleam in her eyes.

"Nothing that effect anyone in a hazardous manner, hazardous as described by the person losing, and nothing that comprimises someone's morals, ethics or religious beliefs?" He suggested, knowing it was a bit restrictive, but prefering safe than sorry.

" Have room for more?" he asked, nudging his nearly full bowl towards the elf.

"Not a chance..." Ar'mai said. "What are you guys trying to do, make me fat?" she joked as Lorathin, Kalzog, and Inzikai had given her their salads on top of her own.

"Relthor, I get the impression you are not as happy as you say. I understand. However, when you say 'you will treat the child as your own', remember, the child is your own." Karasu looked at him.

"I hope you really are happy, however, if your mate returns, it is only right you return to her, do you not agree?" she asked.

Karasu held Relthor, and felt so secure, yet something was not quite right and she had to say so.

"Relthor, it is I who believe something is not quite right here." Karasu said sadly. "I think you do not know what to think. You do not know if your mate is alive or not, which presents itself a bit of a problem. If she is, I doubt she will be thrilled that you had a child with someone else."

Karasu sighed. "Perhaps we should tend to the matter at hand if possible. We ought to get to working on getting that book. I do not think having Valtrox around would be a good environment for our child." she chuckled.

"I am sure much is going on in this palace. Perhaps we should get out of the bath, and start looking around as well. Unless you just want to kick back and sleep... leave it for tomorrow." Karasu grinned. "I could do either. What do you think, Relthor?" She kissed his lips lightly.

"I'm not quite sure Ogre, but let us get back to the palace before day break." Beau said staring at the child. "I think I'll start by letting her know some things about good ol' Cadeyrn."

The werewolf gently put the girl in his mouth and began sprinting kicking up sand in his path.

"You're no fun, Azy" Rimoru replied as she floated on her back. "Loosen up a bit. How about, nothing hazardess to the other person. That is all."

Inzikai laughed at the thought of a plump Ar'mai, barely fitting in her current outfit. "Well, Kalzog did say you needed more meat on your bones, and you do know how well ogre's know about these kinds of things," he joked.

"But, Karasu, I am happy!" Relthor replied. "I will return to my mate if she does show herself."

"When my mate hears of my story, I know she'll understand completely," Relthor lied. He did believe that his mate would understand eventually, yet perhaps not right away.

"Karasu, Sarik is just around the corner, and I'm sure we can talk to him about the library since we may know somewhat more than several of the others. But if you're tired..." he flashed her a seductive smile. "We can always wait for tomorrow..."

Kalzog walked back to the palace, beginning to contemplate his own little schemes. What things would the child not already know about the bodyguard? That ol' Fido likes to relieve himself anywhere he wants?

"Fine, nothing hazardous to another person, hazardous being defined by the loser." He replied

Rimoru stood up straight in the water and put her hands on her luscious hips, magically floating in the water. "Done," she replied with a smile. She swam to the closest end and smiled. "Are you ready to lose?" she asked Lorathin playfully.

"Oh, and no using magick to win." He replied as he swam and joined her at one end of the pool.

She smiled as she swam closer to him. "No magic? None at all?" she asked sarcastically, winking at him. "Fine, no magic," she said, crossing her fingers and winking at him again.

"You were crossing your fingers, and no magick at all." He replied with a smile, "Ready."

"Ready...," she laughed. "Last minute warning...I am a good swimmer," she laughed.

"3." Rimoru prepared herself to launch off the side.

"2, 1!" she giggled as she immediately swam into action.

On one, Lorathin lunched himself forward as well, using his legs that he'd braced against the pool wall as a springboard. Quickly setting into the traditional rythem of stroke, stroke, breath he powered forward.

Rimoru giggled as she swam faster, with extreme precision. The end wall was nearing quickly....

Beau laid the young girl into the bed of an empty room, she was still having a bad dream and quietly calling for Cadeyrn. The werewolf proceeded back outside towards Kalzog.

"Would you care to settle our disagreement from earlier now in a friendly sparring match?" Beau requested with a sly grin.

Kalzog smiled wickedly. "I don't do friendly," he replied simply.

"That's excellent to hear Ogre, I hate friendly fights. Let us settle this the way wolves do." He growled raising his sharp claws and bending his legs ready to attack.

Lorathin also speed up till he was beside Rimoru, or perhaps a tad in front of her as he swam at full force to beat the queen.

"Come then, Fido...show me what you've got," Kalzog growled, bracing himself for an attack. He mentally prepared his useful combat spells while he crouched low, a sinister grin adorning his face.

"Oh no you dont!" Rimoru called out as she put on her every last effort, not even watching where she was going.

They were a long five seconds, however she felt the pool wall with her fingertips and immediately made sure Lorathin had not beaten her.

"I know you are lying about your mate understanding. I am hoping she will accept the child eventually, like a stepmother." Karasu smiled. "This is the only pregnancy I have ever had, and I am a bit nervous, Relthor." She relayed to him.

"As far as what to do? Well, I am one of the few who knows where the library is, as do you. You lived here, and I spent much time here. It was almost my second home." Karsu explained.

"However, if we ask her, will she let us in? Should we try that? I am sure there are others trying to break in. I would like to do it the polite way, if possible." Karasu intoned.

"Relthor, do you know the name of this book? Perhaps we should go to Sarik and ask him more about it. Does that sound OK to you? I think his input is vital."

Karasu waited for Relthor's reply.

"I'll be with you the entire way, Karasu. I promise," Relthor replied, embracing Karasu tightly.

"I haven't a clue what the name of the book is, unfortunately," he frowned. "I do know, however, where the Library is, and where such a book may be located."

"But I do believe it would be best if we asked Rimoru to have access to it. We just need to find her," he laughed as he formed his wings into a much cleaner robe.

"As for Sarik, he may know the name of the book. Let's go to him first," Relthor replied as he walked towards the door.

"Ladies first," he smiled as he opened the door to the hallway.

When Rimoru called out, it interrupted her rythem, which gave Lorathin a chance for a final dash to the wall. As he touched the wall, he looked to see if Rimoru had beaten him or not.

"I won, slowpoke!" she giggled as she took began to make several mock bows. "Thank you, thank you everyone!"

"So...ready to do my bidding?" she asked mischieviously as she leaned against Lorathin, fluttering her eyelashes at him.

"Come Kalzog, prove to me you're worth a damn!" Beau beckoned before sprinting and sliding between the massive humanoid's legs.

"It depends what you wish to claim as the spoils." He replied with a answering smile.

Kalzog grabbed hold of Beau's tail and pulled him out. "I hope you're like a cat...You better hope as well, because you're going to be dropping quite a distance," he growled as he tossed Beau towards the stair rails.

"Nothing too out of the box. You don't seem like the kind of person who would bed with another on the same day they met," she giggled. "My wish...a passionate kiss."

Beau landed gracefully and exploded off the stairs with frightening speed at the ogre's face.

"How would you define passionate, as I do believe our standards might differ quite a bit on that topic." He replied

"Thank you Relthor." Karasu reveled in his arms. "I love it when you hold me... or should I say us now?" She grinned warmly and kissed him passionately. "You have been so good to me, considering the situation you are in with your mate. I am sorry for your situation. Not even knowing if she is alive. Perhaps sometime you could tell me about her." Karasu smiled.

"Yes, I most definitely think we should ask Rimoru for permission to go into the library, after all, we have all known each other a long time." Karasu intoned.

As Relthor held the door for her, Karasu commented, "How chivalrous!", and smiled mischieviously.

"So, on our way to see Sarik. I think we will get some useful information from him."

"Mouth to mouth, physical contact. Care for me to demonstrate?" She asked as she brought her face closer to Lorathins.

Kalzog only smiled as he brought his hand to catch the werewolf in his deadly grasp.

"I'm sure we will," Relthor replied as he walked down the hall with Karasu. He knocked on the door to Sarik's room and waited for an answer.

"It's Relthor and Karasu, Sarik," he said.

The door opened and Sarik beamed at the two. "Come in, come in! What brings you two to my humble room?" he chuckled as he walked back to his bed.

Beau flipped over legs first and dropkicked directly into the ogre's hand, proppelling both figures a great distance with a large cloud of dust in the process.

"You're good, but a little slow." Beau challenged raising his claws again charging the massive figure, leaping from side to side with blinding speed.

"Only if that demonstration is your claimed kiss, thought I have to say I've never heard of a kiss that was anything other than mouth to mouth." He commented

"Only when I go easy," Kalzog replied, his eyes glowing a dull red. He clapped his hands together, disappeering in a flash of smoke. Suddenly, three Kalzogs stood around the spot where the original Kalzog disappeered.

"Oh just shut up and kiss me," Rimoru laughed as she brought her lips to Lorathin, giving him her own passionate kiss. She brought her body close to his, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Inzikai laughed at the thought of a plump Ar'mai, barely fitting in her current outfit. "Well, Kalzog did say you needed more meat on your bones, and you do know how well ogre's know about these kinds of things," he joked.

"And what do you think?" Ar'mai asked, bending forward slightly as her shoulders rolled forward and inward slightly, propping her chest up.

Lorathin returned the kiss, thought slightly passively as Rimoru seemed content to be the aggressor and he had his arms supporting them from sinking underwater.

"Not bad, now I am having a little fun!" Beau barked before speeding up to the point of being a white blur. The white flash zipped in between the three ogres slashing at every opening before retreating a good 50 yards away.

"Your skin is like diamond, I am very impressed now!" He yelled as his muscles bulged and ripped, Cadeyrn's already small armor was shredded like tinfoil as the king of the Varvul grew in strength.

"Hello Sarik, it's nice to see you." Karasu greeted him. "The truth is, we are going to ask to be let into the library, however, we do not know what the book is called, or what it looks like." She explained.

"Could you tell us a bit about it? She asked. "And if we do find it, what do we do with it?"

"Personally...I think you're beautiful," Inzikai replied, his eyes not leaving Ar'mai's. He inched closer, lost in trance at Ar'mai's beauty.

Rimoru pulled away slowly, her eyes glittering. "That was fun...but I know you can do better," she giggled. "Want to try again?"

Kalzog growled slightly as he knew he was not the fastest creature on the planet. That was perhaps his only weakness. He knew if it wasn't for his incredibly tough skin, he would have been hacked apart by the wolf.

"You haven't seen the best part, Fido," Kalzog replied as he reached for the wolf man's neck.

"Perhaps after a game of Tennis, then we can have another competition of some sort." He suggested as heaved himself partially out of the pool, so that just his feet were dangling in it.

Beau lept onto the ogre's arm, sprinted up grabbing his neck, and slid around it in a circle. Landing on the juggernaut's shoulder he paused for a moment forgetting he couldn't do damage the traditional way.

"I am looking forward to it Ogre." Beau whispered into the behemoth's ear sitting on his shoulder.

Come on and grab me, I've got a little surprise for you.

"How beautiful?" Ar'mai enticed. She had a seductive look in her eyes, but she made sure to keep a five inches distance between their faces. When he tried to move closer, she pulled back slightly, teasingly.

"Ah...the book. I'm afraid I won't be able to help you much either," he replied sadly. "My guess is, it's title may have something to do with gods, summonings, or gateways."

"I'm guessing the book will be very old, and not easily accessable."

"Probably in the restricted section, then," Relthor said, mostly to Karasu, referring to a very high security section of the library.

Rimoru smiled as she propped herself next to Lorathin. "I'm up for it," she replied as she kicked her feet in the water.

Kalzog began to move his hand towards the wolf in an attempt to grab him.

"The most...beautiful person I've ever seen," Inzikai replied, smiling broadly. He couldn't take his eyes off of the elf.

"Well Relthor... we do not know where Rimoru is, this task seems far more difficult than we anticipated, and we would be going in blind." Karasu sighed. "Shall we go back to our room and deal with this tomorrow... perhaps keep some company with Sarik, if he is interested, first. I would not mind learning a little more about this." She looked at Relthor to see what he wanted to do.

Beau smiled and lept right into them letting his fingers wrap around him.

"Damn it looks like you got me." Beau admitted sarcastically while drawing a huge smile. "Show me how strong you are!"

"Then let's get toweled off. We can play dressed as we are, but not as well soaking wet." He commented as he stood up, and offered her a hand to help her up as he looked for a towel rack.

"Awww..." Ar'mai said, partially mocking Inzikai, though he probably wouldn't notice in his entranced state. She leaned forward, bringing her face closer to his until hey were only an inch a part. And then suddenly she pulled back and leapt out of her chair playfully. She was teasing him - and was going to have fun doing it. It was quite useful to know that she had some kind of 'spell' or 'power' over him.

She skipped out of the room and through the nearest door to the outside.

The ogre's hand just went right through Beau.

Suddenly, Kalzog took hold of the wolf man and brought him to the ground hard, holding him in place. "Fooled ya, wolfy," he smiled, his daggerlike teeth gleaming with saliva.

Rimoru took Lorathin's hand and walked up next to him, not letting go. "Such a gentleman!" she laughed as she made a towel rack appear in front of them.

Inzikai immediately sprang out of his chair, chuckling quietly. "Where are you going Ar'mai?" he asked as he ran after her.

"Of course it is OK. But... where are we going? We do not know where Rimoru is in order to ask her about the library, and I thought we would sit and talk about this book... What do you have in mind... just wander around? I do not understand." Karasu looked perplexed.

Lorathin grabbed the fluffiest towel and passed it to Rimoru, and grabbed one for himself as he began drying off, or at least getting most of the excess moisture absorbed.

"You're so clever." Mocked Beau as he began to roar with incredible pitch and anger. Suddenly the wolf burst into a bright blue flame superheating and melting the marble below.

"You're skin may be made of diamond, but what's inside that precious armor is just a fragile as a glass." Beau growled forcing the heat to become more intense.

Beau was deeply ashamed, he resorted to using one of Cadeyrn's abilities against the Ogre.

"Oh nowhere... just around." Ar'mai was long gone through the door and out into the 'backyard,' but her melodious voice seemed to float through the air and into Inzikai's ears.

"We could speak here or in our own room, whatever is preferred," Relthor replied.

"I don't care," Sarik responded with a chuckle. "I'm a very lenient guy."

"Like I said...a gentleman," Rimoru giggled quietly as she dried herself off, making sure to show off her beautiful body.

"So what does this 'tennis' need to play?" she asked curiously.

"Oh but you ignore something, wolfy," Kalzog replied, smiling back. With his free hand he pointed to his other hand. The long tattoos were glowing brightly as he held onto the wolf with an iron grip. "And now you're in my grip," he laughed cruelly as he raised his other fist to pound the wolf into the ground.

"Ar'mai, where did you go?" Inzikai chuckled. "You cannot hide from me forever!"

He looked around, trying to find the sneaky elf.

"Why not in the room. I would like to lie back and relax." Karasu responded, looking at Relthor to see if he was going to join her.

"Sarik, make yourself comfortable. Please tell us all you know about this book, and when it is found, what is to be done with it." Karasu requested.

Karasu kind of wanted to just relax with Relthor this evening, but it was not turning out that way... oh well.

"A rectangle court, that's 27' wide, for two people, 36' for four people, and 78' long. A 3' net at the 39' mark. The net a fine mesh, and taut. If it's two people playing, two rackets(he gives the dimensions/description) and a ball(See racket)." He replied, "It's fairly easy to play if you have good coordination."

Beau's eyes widened with shock at the runes.

"Unbelievable, but I'm afraid you and I share the same master." The werewolf claimed as the flame died down. Suddenly his body turned into bright energy and flowed out of the Ogre's grip just barely escaping his mighty fist that made a massive crater in the ground. The werewolf reformed on his shoulder again, kneeling.

"It appears that there has been some deep misunderstandings between the two of us Kalzog." Beau began negotiating.

"Uhhh... did everyone in here die? or are we going to talk? Otherwise I'll just get some sleep." Karasu stated.

Rastilia took a nap on her private bed. She was no fool however and took the proper percaution when resting in a hostile place. She placed several wards on the entrance to the chambers and had her undead guards guard the room both inside and out. Her ghouls waited by her side until she awoke.

Rastilia had not slept in a while and decided to get some sleep before she is needed for the big mission Rothargot had planned.

"You better start talking fast, Fido. I doubt we have had the same master, and I definately have not changed my opinion about you," Kalzog growled as was getting ready to smack Beau off his shoulder.

"Do you have a rulebook memorized?" Rimoru asked as she formed the tennis court, exactly to Lorathin's specifications.

"I've really said all I know about how to identify the book. But What's in it would probably be a history of summoning gods, or other powerful beings, or maybe even just powerful spells," Sarik replied as he took a seat nearby.

Relthor laid on the bed with Karasu, watching her stomach rise and lower in harmony with her breathing.

"Ar'mai, where did you go?" Inzikai chuckled. "You cannot hide from me forever!"

He looked around, trying to find the sneaky elf.

Ar'mai was skipping playfully through the paradise that was the 'backyard' of Rimoru's palace.

"Wow, you've gotten quite giddy! What was in that salad?" he asked as he followed close behind, trying to catch her.

"Enought of one to cover anything we should need." Lorathin replied, "Most of the others are for quite uncommon situation."

Rimoru nodded as she swung her racket around. "So, I'm guessing we start on either side of the net?" she asked as she walked to the newly made court.

"Does the the god of Chaos and War ring a bell in your thick head?" Beau asked leaping high into thew air with his back facing the moon. When he reached maximum height he floated, rather than falling.

"It is my mission in life to reduce this world to to a state of eternal war! You and I are after the same goal, we both want the oceans filled with crimson blood and the valleys piled with corpses. The enternal fires of darkness shall consume the land engulfing all who are not worthy!" The wolfman preached as a bright energy surrounded him giving him a beautiful suit of plated armor.

"So we might as well do this tomorrow, as we have no clue where Rimoru is in order to ask her for permission to enter the library." Karasu mused aloud.

She sighed. "So... ? What now?"

"Yes, and we stand at a diagonel to each other." He replied as he made a few practice swings.

ooc: do you know aprox how tennis is played?

"Perhaps...however I like to keep the glory to myself," Kalzog growled. "Ogruk would understand..."

"In other words...I am worthy. No one else," he continued as he looked for something long to prod Beau with.

"I don't know...I'm personally getting tired," Sarik replied. "If you two don't mind...I'll be going to bed."

"Not at all, Sarik. Perhaps the rest of this will be cleared up tomorrow," Relthor replied.

"Ah...I may be getting the hang of this!" Rimoru laughed as she bounced the ball near her bare feet. "I'm guessing I give this a good whack, and attempt to hit it over to your side until I win?"

"You have no glory, look at yourself. You are travelling with these fools like a blind cattle being led to the slaughter. You are going in no direction, you are not worthy of nothing but annihilation!" Beau barked raising a hand in the air.

The moon shifted to a blood red, as did the werewolf's once ivory fur. A long black katana materialized into his hands as he glided down to earth.

"Even your skin is no match for what my god has given me." He uttered in almost an otherworldly voice.

"You fail to realize my true plans," Kalzog growled. "Come, let me prove you wrong again!"

"Good night Sarik." Karasu smiled. "Sleep well."

After Sarik left, Karasu spoke to Relthor, "This means we have the night to ourselves." She smiled mischieviously. "However I am aware of your vow, and I respect that. May I at least sleep in your arms Relthor?" She asked him.

Karasu knew it would be difficult sleeping in bed with him and only sleeping, but she would manage. This was important to him and the right thing to do unless he found his mate was... gone.

"We have to be good tonight, you know..." Karasu grinned.

"You hit it to me, then I hit it back, but then we try to get it past the others guard so it goes out." He replied as he awaited her serve.

"You fail to realize how close I am to fufilling both our dreams. Tomorrow morning that fool Cadeyrn will excommunicate me from his body, freeing me at last. Then I will take the girl into my possession, who can see into the future through her gifted sleep, then I will recover my army of hundreds of werewolves. With the girl's divine sight we shall slowly conquer and raise the darkness of this pathetic world. All I need is more powerful warriors and the dream is complete." Beau said slowly walking towards Kalzog.

Faint spiritual runes circled around the wolf as he approached.

"Does this not plan not seem perfect to you?" Beau asked now within feet of the giant.

"Oh...so I need guards here?" Rimoru asked innocently.

"I only joke, Azy," she smiled as she tossed the ball in the air, whacking it somewhat lightly, trying to get the feel of it.

Sarik left the room, walking to his own quarters drawing a connection between Karasu and Relthor. I had the feeling they were close...but now they seem even closer! I wonder if Karasu knows Relthor is a dragon... he thought to himself as he walked into his room.

Relthor smiled as he played with Karasu's hair. "Of course I'll let you sleep in my arms, Karasu."

"Good...Since when aren't we good?" he asked her, putting his forhead against hers. Once more? It wouldn't hurt... his primal side was beginning to break out again.

"What no one knows...won't hurt, right?" he said mischiviously.

"It is nearly perfect, wolfy. The only thing that would make it better is me coming out as the last one alive. Plus you do know in order to conquer this world, you will have to escape Valtrox's plans. If he plans to join into this world, no one will be spared. Perhaps that is the quickest way for me to achieve my dream..." Kalzog replied, half dreamily.

"Well Relthor, you are impossible to resist." Karasu looked at him seductively and then kissed him passionately, putting her arms around him. "So the father of my child will be OK one more time?" She grinned mischieviously as she massaged his body.

"Definately, Karasu, my love," Relthor replied, returning her passion. His robes slowly formed back into his wings as he prepared to have another lovely night with Karasu.

Karasu opened her Kimono, and began to take Relthor's clothing off, all while kissing him all over. She was overwhelmed by lust and passion. It seemed Relthor was as well.

"Ahhh... another... wonderfu... night....."

Lorathin chuckled, as he moved to send the ball back.

Tlaxkrox had been listening to the ogre and the wolf's plans. He decided to make himself known. "You two seem to have quite a plan. Well, I think I can help. After all, I am a skilled warrior, and cunning." He knew they were surprised. "Well, what do you think? I want in."

"Then before Valtrox enters this earth I will kill as many as possible, make his arrival more fitting." Beau said seathing his long blade.

The werewolf could sense the sun beginning to rise over the horizon.

"We will finish this fight another day then, until then it is time for my people to rise again." He barked retreating into the palace.

After the heated passion they gave each other, Relthor kept his arms around Karasu as he lay sideways, facing her. "You are so beautiful, Karasu. No one can deny that..."

He kissed her gently before examining her perfect body again. "Do you know what gender our child is? Or if it will be twins?"

Kalzog smiled weakly to Tlaxkrox as the wolfman ran down the corridor.

"I don't know if you should, lizard," Kalzog replied as he sat on the steps. "It's an enticing offer...but I do not know if I will take it..."

Rimoru smiled as she ran to intercept the ball, her curves bouncing with her, very seductively.

"Wow, you've gotten quite giddy! What was in that salad?" he asked as he followed close behind, trying to catch her.

"Lettuce... lots and lots of lettuce," came the same mystic version of Ar'mai's voice over the breeze.

She continued skipping through the trees and plants until suddenly she found herself at an odd rectangle shaped hard surface. It had lines on it and Lorathin seemed to be hitting a ball with Rimoru. The princess sat down on the grass and watched...

Inzikai laughed as he heard Ar'mai's response, he ran up to where he heard her voice, only to find her sitting down. He crouched down low, putting his hands around her slender waist. "Caught you," he whispered. He noticed her looking out towards the other two.

"What are they doing?" he whispered in her ear as he brought his face close to hers.

Beau shifted back towards Tlaxkrox. "I am in need of a first lieutenant for my armies, I will speak more of this tomorrow, but I must return now." He said turning and jumping through an open window.

"What does it look like I am doing? Watching..." Ar'mai said as she did not react in the slightest to his grasp around her waist.

Her eyes bounced from side to side as the little yellow ball did likewise.

Once Rimoru returned the ball, he moved to whack it back. He was more focused on the game than the activities Rimoru's anatomy was getting up to.

When Tlaxkrox heard what the wolf said, he smiled. Back to the days of leading armies. The life he loved. He turned to the ogre. "Looks like where going to be seeing each other a lot. Better get used to me."

ooc: I don't remember if I told you this, but TG Luporum...I also don't remember when I sent that TG!! LOL

"I must be a natural!" Rimoru laughed as she returned the ball. With each hit, she would get closer to the net.

Inzikai chuckled quietly as he sat behind Ar'mai. "I meant what are they doing. I know very well you're sitting," he smiled.

"I do not know the gender. I guess that will be a surprise." Karasu told Relthor with a sparkle in her eye.

"Thank you for the compliment, Relthor. I must say you are incredibly handsome in both your forms." She had that seductive look in her eyes.

"So shall we get some sleep? It will prove to be a long, tough day tomorrow, I venture." Karasu asked Relthor, while holding him.

"I want nothing more than to sleep in your arms right now. Me and the baby, that is!" Karasu looked at her belly. She was not really showing yet.

She put her forehead against Relthor's and looked into his eyes. "So what do you say? Sleep for the night?" She smiled warmly at him. "I love you Relthor.", she told him.

ooc: I guess you did say they rather than you... :p My bad - misread it.

"I dunno - that is why I am watching," Ar'mai explained as she watched Rimoru advance. "It would appear that they are playing some kind of odd game..." Though what it was, Ar'mai didn't know.

"You seem to be." He replied as he hit a long-ball, forcing her to backpedal if she wanted to hit the ball.

"Sneaky devil, Azy," she replied as she did a back flip, springing up in time to hit the ball back.

"Karasu, I love you too," he replied, kissing her passionately. "I am...sort of tired...but that may be because you wear me out in bed," he chuckled.

He rubbed Karasu's flat stomach, gently. "I am anxious to see our child," he laughed quietly.

Inzikai watched the ball go back and forth, growing slightly bored as they played. He looked at Ar'mai with a mischievious grin.

"Are you ticklish?" he chuckled.

He chuckled as he dove to return her strike. As he did he noticed Ar'mai and Inzikai. "It appears we have an audience." He commented as the ball bounced off his racket.

"I wouldn't suggest finding out..." she said with a domineering grin.

"Oh?" She asked outloud, taking a side glance at the couple sitting nearby. Inzikai and that elf again...He was not allowed to love, I thought... Her brow furrowed as she returned her attention to the game. She slammed the ball hard, back at Lorathin. "Good. Let them watch!" she said, somewhat annoyed.

"No? Why not?" Inzikai asked, as he poked her in the sides, a wide grin forming. "Are you just really ticklish?"

Beau shifted into Cadeyrn and threw the antidote in Marlene's face awakening her. She rose from the elegant bed confused as to how she got there. Looking around the large room she didn't recognize anything until she saw Cadeyrn upon which she immedialy lunged at him and hugged him tightly.

"Cadey, I knew I'd see you soon. Where are we though?" The girl said holding her exited heart from jumping out of her chest.

"We're in Empress Rimoru's palace Marlene, she's my boss." The fake Cadeyrn answered.

Marlene shifted her eyebrow, something was strange about Cadeyrn. The preteen tried not to care though, her guardian was with her again.

"Marlene there's something on my chest I must confess." Beau disguised as Cadeyrn said. "That day I saved you from Lord Mako's army and killed all those soldiers, you remember right?"

"How could I forget?" The girl responded remembering the day she met her hero.

"I've left out a few details that you're old enough to accept now." He said faking a said voice while Marlene only cocked her head.

"You're parents weren't killed by the soldiers, I was the one who slaughtered them. Both in one strike, it wasn't quick either, they moaned in agony as I watched them die." The fake Cadeyrn was crying, but Beau was laughing hysterically in his head.

Beau was shocked as Marlene held him gently rather than being upset. Before the regular Cadeyrn returned Beau was cursing in his mind.

"Then let us rest in each other's arms until sleep takes over." Karasu was so content, happy, and felt so safe. "You are so special Relthor. You know what? I cannot wait to go flying with you again soon!" Karasu grinned.

"Let us get some rest. Being with you relaxes me and comforts me in every way Relthor. I have been blessed to have met you." She looked him in the eyes as she told him this.

"I believe you may wear me out in bed as well!" Karasu chuckled. "I am definitely more tired, but far more relaxed. Let us just enjoy sleeping in each other's arms, my love."

Karasu snuggled in with him and lay her head on his muscular chest. She could feel his breathing slowing down as well. I guess we're both tired.

ooc: I'm out for the night... exhaustion... Don't do 9 pages before tomorrow!

Her hard hit took him off guard, sending the ball out of court. "Your point." He called, "Now that you've seen what it's like, is there anything you'd like to do know?" He asked as he went to fetch the ball.

Tlaxkrox walked a bit. He hoped the wolf would be able to do what he said he could. If he could, then part of the world would be his.

Relthor smiled, as he kept his arms around Karasu. He was rubbing her gently as he slowly closed his eyes. "My Karasu...I love you so much..." he whispered, unsure if she was already sleeping or not. He didn't care. They were warm and comfortable next to each other. So comfortable, Relthor felt he could remain in his current spot forever.

Her face softening up again, Rimoru watched Lorathin. "Is it possible that I can ask you do do another thing, then? Since I did just get a point..." she asked sweetly.

ooc: Breit... I'll get it tomorrow... I can't keep my eyes open and I'm crashing now!

"No? Why not?" Inzikai asked, as he poked her in the sides, a wide grin forming. "Are you just really ticklish?"

"Because if you try to tickle me... I will have to subdue you," she said as she turned her head away from him back towards the game. It was apparent that little pokes at her side weren't going to do anything.

"Oh? And How will you bring that about?" he chuckled as he attempted to tickle Ar'mai in other notable ticklish spots.

"Watch where your hands dance," Ar'mai warned him as he seemed to be moving them around to other parts of her body.

"You will find out soon if you persist..."

"What would you like me to do?" He asked, slightly worried at her tone of voice.

The real Cadeyrn opened his eyes and found Marlene in his arms.

Was I killed during the transformation last night? Is this heaven? If it is then what the hell am I doing here?

He went to move but his entire body was locked in the Werewolf Hangover.

"Marlene, be a dear and grab my right arm and pull really hard really fast ok?" Cadeyrn said gently looking at the girl who nodded her head and did exactly as she was told. There was a loud pop and Cadeyrn gritted his teeth rolling his freed arm.

"Thanks Marlene." He said doing the same to his other joints one by one.

"Kiss me. With everything you have, right now," she replied, in a rather commanding tone, throwing a sidelong glance at Inzikai and Ar'mai.

Inzikai stopped suddenly and slowly brought his hands away. "I'm sorry, Ar'mai," he said quietly.

He yawned as silence crept in. He was really wondering what he could do with Ar'mai. He had already told her that she was beautiful, had chased her through the fields, and even attempted to tickle her. Perhaps she does love me? he thought to himself, a smile gracing his face again.

He approached, but paused a few feet from Rimoru. "If I do, will you let me look at something?" He asked with a smile.

When his body had recovered he leaned over and wondered exactly how Marlene got here. Not to mention where exactly his armor went, and why he had the taste of human blood in his mouth.

The other must have done this but why? Why would he go through the trouble of bringing Marlene here?

"Marlene I have to go find the Empress ok?" He said putting a hand on her shoudler.

"It's about him isn't it? The demon inside of you I keep dreaming about." She asked mourningly.

"Yeah." He admitted lowering his head.

There was a sad atmosphere in the room, Marlene was on the verge of tears as she watched her invincible hero struggle against himself.

"Well get it out so your normal ok? I can't have my Cadey eating people when he could be spending time with me!" She yelled playfully with tears swelling in her eyes.

Cadeyrn smiled as he proceeded out of the room.

"Not the Library, if that's what your thinking," she replied, an eyebrow raised, but her lips were pursed, ready to recieve her kiss.

"Not even if you were with me to prevent me from making off with any of your books?" He asked as he stepped over so they were only scant inches apart.

"Not even that," she whispered, looking up at Lorathin, her chest heaving as she anticipated their kiss.

Apparently Rothargot did not fear Hapdebza all that much if he would do such a thing to the other demon. And apparently he who was second only to Valtrox could be forced around by Rothargot. This brought a grin to Teralynn's mouth.

Since Rothargot could see her illusions, perhaps Hapdebza could too. So she flicked her tongue back out at Hapdebza, which much resembled that which the same demon used on her, should he be able to see it. Tera then followed Rothargot farther into Valtrox's realm.

Understood, Maverion replied to Inzikai before moving off.

He continued trying to get in touch with Teralynn and Rothargot, but neither could be found. So instead, he focused on figuring out a plan that would keep Rimoru from revealing their identities as he walked to Rastilia's room. Moving past the undead guards standing outside the dark elf's door, who were already smelling up the place, he knocked.

Cadeyrn poked his head around the corner and shyed back once he saw the Empress with yet another man.

I had my doubts at first, but she just might be the whore everyone makes her out to be. Regardless, she's my boss and the keeper of the library where I can find a way to rid myself of this bothersome curse.

He decided not to bother the empress and headed back to his room to talk to Marlene some more.

"Then I'll be sure to think of something." He said as he got a wicked idea. He leaned in and gave her a light kiss on the nose. He leaned back to catch her look of shock, before leaning back in and giving her a passionate kiss.

ooc: I take it Cadeyrn didn't recognise Lorathin?

ooc: He shyed away before he could make out who it was.

Rimoru's hands wrapped around Lorathin, bringing them closer to each other. She let out a small gasp as they parted. She smiled with a dazed look on her face. "That's what I'm talking about," she whispered softly, inching back for another kiss.

Inzikai watched quietly, annoyance growing in him. She just had to make out with Lorathin...

As she leaned in for another kiss, he brought a finger up to her lips. "Perhaps later." He commented with a smile, eyes twinkling.

Rothargot looked at Teralynn. "I shouldn't have done that..." he said as he walked through the caverns. "Valtrox will not be so happy to see one of his favored treated as such..."

He finally stopped as they reached a small platform that overlooked a seemingly endless tide of lava. Again, Rothargot bowed. "I'm sure Valtrox is here, Teralynn."

Rimoru smiled and nodded slowly. "Later," she repeated. She recomposed herself, crossing her arms loosely around her bare stomach. "So what now, Azy?"

"I would suggest the library, but I already know you're response to that, so how about the complete palace tour?" He asked

"Sure...a palace tour," Rimoru replied, her mischievous smile once again gracing her beautiful face. She snapped her fingers as loose nearly transparent robes formed around her and she walked towards the doorway.

Cadeyrn opened the door and saw Marlene reading another book.

"You sure do read a lot of those things." He commented.

"Books are more important than blades Cadey, an entire world of knowlege and power can be revealed through reading. This one is rather important concerning you, I bought it from a merchant when I started having those dreams." She added holding up a book entitled. Plena Luna.

Lorathin looked worried as he followed Rimoru as he thought, "What have I gotten into, and I think I know where this tour will end up, at least if her reputation was justly earned."

Again mimicking Rothargot, Teralynn bowed as well, wondering if Valtrox would show up any time soon or not.

When no reply came from Rastilia, he figured she was either asleep or purposefully chose not to answer the door. He then went to Teralynn's room, where he last sensed Rothargot.

The room was dark, empty, and cold. He looked around, trying to figure out what happened to the two, but there were no signs of them, not even of the circle Rothargot drew. Quite a conundrum. Since there was little else for him to do at the moment, he grabbed a chair, tilted it against the wall, sat down, and fell into a light sleep. If the two returned, it would probably be in that room, after all.

Cadeyrn heard someone walking outside and swung the door open just in time to hit Lorathin.

"Sorry Lorathin, I didn't think you'd be walking so close to the wall." Cadeyrn apologized while picking his friend up. "Hey, I got someone you two should meet."

Marlene poked her head out of the room and examined the pair. She frowned when she saw her hero's boss.

"Come, let's play a little game. I recently did this with a...close friend. He was stuck up and not easily amused, but I brought out the warm side of him," she said as she walked into the lobby area.

"Not in bed, mind you. I know what many people think about me..." she chuckled quietly. "However I wish he would...I'm sure he would make a very interesting...Anyways..."

"I know you're already aquainted with the large dining hall," she said pointing towards the area where they had eaten. "Along with the lobby," she pointed in the opposite direction.

She walked up the stairs, where she had the rest of Lorathin's party stationed, when Cadeyrn popped out, whacking Lorathin.

"Cadey! What are you doing?!" she shouted urgently.

"What's the game?" He asked as he followed Rimoru around, before getting stopped as he ran into a suddenly opened door.

"Ow." Lorathin commented as he rubbed his nose. Seeing the little girl, and him in his shorts he stepped back and pulled out his pants out of the place he'd put them. As he did, he felt the sapphire in his pocket.

Going back around the corner, "Hello there. Oh and Cadeyrn, please hold this and think of that place you keep getting those messenger birds from as I take it that's the most important place for you?"

"Mighty Valtrox, I come from the mortal world with one of the two who serve you with fervor. This one is Teralynn."

Lava bubbled nearby, but other than that, there was an eery silence.

"Master Valtrox, I come from the-"

"Silence!" boomed a dreadful voice. Rothargot bowed his head lower, flapping his wings nervously.

A massive dragon-like form rose from the lava. Valtrox, the Terrible, swam closer to the two. He brought his face close to Teralynn and sniffed. "Get up Mortal. Tell me about yourself..."

"Sorry, really did mean to do that." He again apologized. "I only had one messanger bird, but it's dead now."

Marlene looked up at Rimoru and snarled. "Stay away from my Cadey whore!" She blurted out as the mercenary's eyes widened from shock.

"What? What did she say?" Rimoru asked, raising one eyebrow while her eyes narrowed.

"Where did you come from?" she asked the girl bluntly.

The young girl's vehement outburst caught him by surprise. She appeared to have a majorly possessive crush on Cadeyrn. Quickly trying to divert it, he said to Cadeyrn again, "Could you take this and think where you want to be, you're refuge so to speak."

"I said: Stay away from my Cadey!" Marlene yelled again at Rimoru.

"Uh sure." Cadeyrn said accepting the the stone and thought about the manor the other orphans were staying at while pushing Marlene back into room.

The large form of Valtrox was almost overwhelming. Teralynn had never imagined meeting Valtrox, but there she was, and there he was. Her heart was beating fast, though that was to be expected. Yet, Rothargot seemed to find favor with her, and if Valtrox found favor with Rothargot, then she should be fairly well off. Hopefully.

She stood as commanded. Should she look him in the eye? Or keep her head low? Would making a single mistake be the last she would do? Or was Valtrox a little more forgiving than that?

Teralynn lifted her head up and looked into the dragon's face. Trying to keep her voice steady, she said, "I am Teralynn Valdore, your faithful servant and a secret police officer of the Cult. I seek your blessings and the knowledge of how to best serve you with the skills at my disposal."

The stone glowed brightly for a second. "Good, now all you have to do is say takeme as one word while holding the stone and it'll take you, and anyone you're touching and wish to take with you, to that location."

"That sure is handy, thank you Lorathin." Cadeyrn said in awe. "But there's still work to be done here."

He then turned to Marlene who was giving Rimoru dirty looks and shook his head at her. She ran sat back on the bed frustrated and angry.

"I'm very sorry empress, please forgive me, but normally she is very shy and quiet. I can't imagine what has gotten over her." He said rubbing the back of his head.

"Keep your head down, mortal," Valtrox growled as he examined Teralynn.

Rothargot flapped his wings nervously.

"Tell me, Teralynn Valdore...Rothargot has told me of your ability to...distort reality. Show me," he commanded.

"Master, you are the mightiest of gods, I do not think-"

"Silence!" he roared at Rothargot making a fist over the demi-god before slowly opening it up and setting it back over his side.

"Show me," he repeated.

"Perhaps she should get out more and see how great an Empress I am," Rimoru called back as the child went inside. "How did the kid get in here?"

"You suck!" Marlene's voice echoed through the door as Cadeyrn closed it behind him.

"The other half of me brought her here, which is troubling me greatly. It's plotting something horrible and I can sense it, which is why I need you get me every book you have on Werewolves and Cures so I can get it out and kill it once and for all." He said to her with a stern look of concern in his eyes.

Rimoru furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Cadeyrn. I hate kids... she thought angrily. "Follow me, Cadey.

"You do love me, right Cadey?" Rimoru asked, loud enough for Marlene to hear.

Teralynn's head went down when Rothargot ordered it, but she chanced to keep her eyes on Valtrox.

"I will need to scan your mind to adjust those...distortions of reality to you," Teralynn said, uncertain of how the god would respond to this. "May I?"

She started to think of what may be good enough to potentially impress Valtrox. At least, coming from a mortal like herself.

"Would you like to me to come with you?" Lorathin asked as Rimoru's attention was shifted to Cadeyrn.

"Of course Empress." Cadeyrn replied cautiously as something punched the wooden door behind him and made him jump forward.

I've never seen Marlene act like this.

"I wouldn't ask anything of you master, but this is rather urgent. The other is a pretty twisted son of a bitch that I haven't had the pleasure of killing yet." Cadeyrn grolwed at himself.

"No," Valtrox replied gruffly. Suddenly, his mouth formed into a sneer. "Show me. On Rothargot. Make him fear for his life. Make him beg for mercy..."

Rothargot nodded at his master and turned to Teralynn, a slightly confused look on his face.

"Follow me, both of you," she replied glancing one last time at the door before turning around and walking down the hallway.

"I'm not going to the Library, Azy," she chuckled as she guessed what was on his mind.

"Rats." He commented, but in a non-serious manner. As they walked, he quickly cast a spell to give the little girl something to amuse herself with while the grown ups talked, essentially a superball.

Marlene sat on the bed gritting her teeth.

How can she try to take my Cadeyrn away!? I'm the one he's going to marry, not that whore of an Empress. I'll get her back, I'll get her good.

She opened the book and began reading at a furious pace.

Cadeyrn nodded at the empress. He tried to keep Marlene off his mind; her wanting to marry him when she was younger was cute, but now that she's older it just seems wrong.

She has grown into a beautiful young lady, but it just doesn't seem right. How could I marry the person whose parents I murdered to begin with anyway? Let alone having to be a father figure to her just complicates things. Why can't she just start hanging around Denzel more? He's a strapping young man.

The mercenary sighed deeply.

Marlene looked at a strange ball sitting on a dresser, she picked it up examining it, and then chucked it out the window before getting back to her reading.

Teralynn looked over at Rothargot and made a slight, almost unnoticeable twist of the edge of her lips, as if she did not want to do that to him. Her eyes almost look sorrowful before her head turned back to Valtrox. Instead of looking at the form of the dragon, however, her eyes just fell to the ground, avoiding the god's gaze. She just stood there, not doing anything to Rothargot at all. A single tear began to well up in her eye.

After a short wait, Valtrox cearly looked displeased at this show of weakness. Lava splashed up around him, hitting the edges of the ledge Teralynn and Rothargot were standing on, its intense heat immediately transferring to the surrounding, already hot air. Tera gasped and jumped back to avoid being splashed by the lava, but with a wave of his huge and fiery forearm, Valtrox backhanded the woman and sent her flying. She screamed, but that soon ended when she was engulfed by the lake of lava. Her body sizzled and a puff of steam erupted from where she landed, and soon she was not to be seen anymore beneath the molten lake.

Valtrox's head then centered on Rothargot, eyes flashing with fire. "You dare waste my time with a useless mortal!?" he boomed, the voice carrying not only through the air but through the ledge to vibrate Rothargot's very bones. "Instead of getting the book that you were commanded to!?" One of Valtrox's draconian hands reached out for the demon to grab him in an unbreakable grip, pressing so hard against his body that it felt like his rib would collapse. The hand lifted him up off the floor, the heat emanating from it so great that even Rothargot could feel it through his rock-like skin.

"You are as useless as she is!" Valtrox raised his voice even higher, causing the immense cavern to rumble and shake and the lava to splash around more violently. Valtrox pressed a sharp thumb against Rothargot's chest, threatening to impale the little demon. "I will suffer your incompetence no longer."

That would be what Rothargot experienced should Teralynn be successful against the demon's mind.

"Since we're not going to the library, I'm curious as to where exactly are we going that you would store precious books?" Cadeyrn asked suspiciously folloing his boss closely.

Marlene had fallen asleep reading such a tedious book. It was the journal of some old witch who experimented with werewolves and other such things.

In her dream she saw her champion facing the massive figure of darkness. He was crushing the beast when it reached out and devoured him whole. Cadeyrn broke through but laid motionless, suddenly the dark beast reached towards Marlene and she snapped awake in a cold sweat.

What does this mean? Why can't I ever have a good dream about him? She sighed curling up in the blankets.

Valtrox's sneer widen as Rothargot's normally passive face showed sadness, struggle, and finally, defeat as the demon general remained motionless.

Valtrox turned towards Tera. "Very good, motal," he said cheerfully. "Did you kill him?"

"Well, I do have books in my room," Rimoru answered with a smile. "And my servants will retrieve the others!"

"So you trust them more than me?" Lorathin asked with a hurt tone that was said in a teasing voice. "So why did you want me along?"

"Most excellent." Remarked Cadeyrn smiling. "I am looking forward to slaying the last of the Varvulheim Inner Circle."

The mercenary was especially skilled against werewolfs and their like. He spent many years in war with them as a hired arm when he was still young.

"Without their king, the work I started so long ago will be finished." He commented showing his regrown fangs.

" Of course I trust them more than you. You would probably take advantage of poor little me," she giggled as she hooked her arms around both men next to her. "Now I have Cady to save me!"

"You, never, your library, maybe." He replied with a teasing smile,

Cadeyrn was especiallu unconcerned with the gernal conversation going on, he was grinning with anticipation.

"With how you teased Marlene I might just let someone like Lorathin take advantage of you." He teased while grinning.

"I'm begining to think you came to see my library, rather than me, Azy! I know Cadey here loves me derely, right, darling?"

"Oh no! Now you both are going to take advantage of me!" Rimoru grinned as she planted a small kiss on both their cheeks.

"Of course master." He replied. "You pay me a lot."

He blushed as she kissed him on the cheek, but his heart was racing with anticipation. He was always like this before a tough fight.

"That's because I did, but that was before I got to meet you." He replied with a grin. "Now that I've met you it's a different matter, I know I'd come back to visit just you."

"Oh, you both are so sweet!" Rimoru laughed. "Visit me all you want, Azy."

"As for mister Money Bags...I'll show you why you should love me!"

Suddenly, the beatiful Empress jumped in front of Caderyn, pressing her lips against his.

Karasu awoke, and it was the middle of the night. Relthor was sleeping soundly and she was still in his arms. She smiled at him and went back to sleep.

At first the mercenary wanted to reel away from the kiss but almost immediately found himself embracing her, wrapping his large arm around the small of her back.

"Soon enough you'll see exactly why you hired me." He said looking into her eyes.

Ar'mai decided to cool off from the warm heat of the desert she had experienced for the last few days by taking a dip in the pool. Leaving Inzi to do what he would, she found her way through the gardens to the small pool and jumped in, making a big splash as she did so.

After wiping the hair out of her eyes, she began floating on her back with her head tilted up and her eyes closed.

Rimoru smiled as she returned Cadeyrn's stare. "I can't wait..." she whispered. Inching in for another kiss, before suddenly breaking out of the bodyguard's hold, clearing her throat quietly.

"But let's find that spell first," she smiled. She wanted Cadeyrn to be in control, not the werewolf...

Inzikai smiled as he watched Ar'mai float around in the pool. "I never knew you were a fish," he chuckled as he sat at the edge of the pool.

Lorathin chuckled as he watched Rimoru kiss Cadeyrn.

Relthor felt the warm morning breeze from the balcony as it wafted over his body. He awakened slowly and smiled as he noticed Karasu still in his arms.

"Karasu, it's morning," he whispered quietly, stroking Karasu's head. "A new day for new adventure," he chuckled, kissing her lightly on the forehead.

Karasu woke up and was getting out of bed, and saw Relthor awaken.

"Relthor, let's do something... find the others."

Karasu put on a rather revealing, sheer robe she found in the closet, and waited for Relthor.

Let me know what you want to do, sweetie. She kissed him passionately.

"You look great," Relthor replied, a wide smile forming on his lips. He resummoned his robes and yawned as he stretched. "I suppose we can go have a talk to Kalzog. I haven't heard much from him in a while!"

Rimoru looked towards Lorathin and smiled. "Don't think I haven't forgotten about you!" she chuckled as she pressed herself against him, pressing her lips on Lorathin's.

Minos sat cross-legged on his bed in the room prepared for him by Rimoru's staff. His eyes were closed, but a faint glimmer of white light shone out from between the lids, the otherwise total darkness broken by the fundamentally natural light. His breathing was silent, leaving the room devoid of noise, save the whisperings of the wind... and perhaps something more. Listening closely, an observer might have heard a number of faint voices on the air. If this observer had particularly acute hearing, they would be able to distinguish the cacophany of miscellaneous conversations and noises. Only true elementalists, though, knew the art of talking back.

Opening his mouth, Minos said in the unnatural voice heard in the Arena, "Greetings, old stones, I am Minos Praetal. I would wish that you share you ancient, sage knowledge with me."

The assorted whispers stopped suddenly, replaced with one cohesive one. "Hello Minos, I am Bilden Stond, I speak for this place."

"Thank you for hearing me, O Great Stond. Can you tell me of the recent occurences in this palace?"

"You must be more specific, Minos. Our sense of recent is very different from yours."

"In the last several days then?"

"Hmm, we received a group of visitors..."

"That was my group."

"No, they arrived before you."

"Are they still here?" Minos inquired, remaining motionless.

"Yes."

"Well... Who are they?"

The whispers returned for a moment,"We do not know... they do not speak their own names openly. There are two men, and two women. They carry darkness with them where ever they go throughout us. One of the men, or near men, is so large that he must duck to move freely throughout the palace."

Fear struck into Minos' heart. Rothargot beat us here... Panic creeping in on the edges of his voice, he asked, "Have they been into the Library yet?"

"No."

Relief washed over Minos, only one more question, "I seek a book, about the gods, and their history. It contains powerful spells that could be used for very ill purposes. Do you know this book?"

More whispers ensued for a moment, and then Stond spoke again, "Yes."

Excitemnt gripped Minos as he asked the final, pivotal question, "Can you tell me where it is?"

There was a pause, "No," Minos' heart fell, "but we can show you."

"Please make up you mind." He commented after she kissed him.

"You're no fun," Rimoru said with a sly grin, pushing off lightly against Lorathin, before continuing their walk to the palace.

Lorathin just shook his head as he followed Rimoru.

"Thank you Relthor." Karasu responded to his compliment.

"I will change later after I bathe." She smiled.

"Good idea... finding Kalzog. I am right behind you."

Cadeyrn watched Rimoru pull away and kiss Lorathin again; he paused for a moment before wiping his mouth furiously. He hadn't forgotten what he had dropped in on just a few minutes ago.

"Let's, the moon will be out again tonight and with Marlene here I can't risk it trying anything." He said following very close behind the empress.

Why did it bring her here? He thought as he raised his eyebrow trying to calculate what the hell the Varvul King was up to.

Kalzog was leaning up against a wall nearby a balconey off the main hallway, looking out into the rising sun.

"Good morning, Kalzog!" Relthor said cheefully from behind the massive ogre.

"Good morning," he replied, not moving an inch from his position.

Rimoru had walked to the end of the hallway before spinning around to the others. "This is my room! Isn't it wonderful?" she asked as she spun around, her arms spread apart. She would seem somewhat crazy as she had not led them to a particular room.

"Good Morning Kalzog!" Karasu greeted him. "So what have you been up to?" She asked. "Any plans, anything to do?"

There has to be, there are a ton of people here, it is a huge place... what is going on?

As Kalzog heard Karasu's voice, Kalzog turned his head slightly, revealing passive face. "Good morning, Karasu."

"I have been...thinking..." He replied as he pushed off against the wall and turned around so he could face the two newcomers. He smiled slightly.

"Two lovebirds?" he asked as he examined the short distance they kept form each other.

Relthor looked at Karasu, not quite sure if he should reveal their status to the big ogre.

"It's interesting." Lorathin commented as she spun, showing off her 'room'.

"Uhhh... Relthor...?" Karasu stuttered, but it was obvious the ogre had a pretty good idea.

"We get along well, Kalzog," Karasu said smiling, looking at Relthor.

"So what are we going to do now... what is to do now?" She looked at Relthor and at Karzog. "Anyone have any suggestions?"

Rimoru only laughed, leaning up against Lorathin. "You're just trying to make me happy," she said quietly as she looked up to him. She moved her hand towards a nearby torch and pulled.

"Close your eye's," she said sweetly. Once the two men complied, Rimoru snapped her fingers, teleporting all three to a massive room, with an incredible bed in the center, on a raised platform. The room was filled with incredible richness, nearly all furniture being covered in gold, and having priceless jewels embedded in them.

On one side of her large room was a massive bookshelf filled with thousands of books.

"I would suggest keeping an eye on Cadeyrn. He's 'partner' is quite strange...full of dreams. I worry about him," Kalzog replied.

"But there is a pool outside, along with a strange court where Lorathin and Rimoru played a strange game last night."

"But if you wish to be more...adventurous...you could begin to explore the other parts of the palace. Rimoru hasn't showed us much, and maybe she is hiding something..." Kalzog said, an eyebrow raised as he looked down the hall.

Cadeyrn smiled as he watchd the somewhat eccentric empress absorb her vast luxories.

"It is quite beautiful master." He commented stepping into the marvelous room. "I only wish I had seen it sooner, now where are these books you were talking about?"

He shut his eyes and felt something spin nearly taking him off his feet. He reopened his eyes and the room was much different.

"I wasn't aware even you had powers master." Cadeyrn commented running his fingers along the bookshelf.

Rimoru lay sat down on her bed, making sure to sit in a very seductive pose. She opened her hand towards the bookshelf and about five large books floated on top of her opened palm.

"Animal Transformations, Lycantropy, You're Wolf and You, Controlling your 'Other' side...Here are a few of them," she said as she set the books near her bare leg.

"Well, everyone seems to be gone..." Karasu pointed out. "I am bored to death."

Kalzog smiled at Karasu. Perhaps they can both have some fun...

"Yesturday, I fought against a powerful creature. Very dangerous, however we underestimated each other greatly," He said as he got closer to Karasu. Relthor looked nervously at the ogre and back at Karasu.

"I have never fought against someone who could beat me. I would like to see you're fighting style, Karasu. Whether you would like to have a match with me or not, I did enjoy you're previous showing."

Cadeyrn leaned in over the empress shuffling through the books with excitement.

"Ya know, if you just showed Marlene this room she would absolutely adore you." He said with a slight chuckle.

Accidently his hand brushed up her leg and he glew a bright red with embarrasement.

"I am sorry Kalzog. I am sitting here in a see through robe, have not showered yet, and was looking for everyone for some relaxation. I would not want to fight you anyway." Karasu smiled.

"But thanks for the offer. Sometime when I'm in an even worse mood, I will take you up on it to relieve the tension." She smiled wanly.

Karasu looked at Relthor thinking, I do not want to fight! I want to find the others!

"Most impressive." He commented as he looked around Rimoru's vastly luxurious room.

ooc: Last post for a while, methinks. Have to finish big project after going to friends house to brainstorm for an even bigger project due monday! LOL

Rimoru smiled sweetly, as she put her hand on Cadeyrn's, looking into Cadeyrn's eyes. "You think so? I never knew your child liked to read," she said softly.

ooc: I guess that gives me nothing to do either.

"You could always go outside. I had seen Sarik walk outside, most likely to lounge in the sun, as lizards do," Kalzog offered as he looked outside again. "It is a beautiful day, as well."

Relthor smiled at Karasu. "Would you like to go outside, Karasu?"

"Oh, and where do you intend to go Relthor?"

The mercenary almost melted when she looked at him and held his hand.

"Yeah, she's quite the little bookworm, however possessive she may be." He said weakly almost dropping the other books. "Speaking of which I'm going to need help reading all these books, maybe Karasu and the others can help me."

Cadeyrn, blushing, hurriedly shuffled out of the room with an armful of books.

Marlene was sound asleep in the bed when Cadeyrn opened the door and buried her the pile of books Rimoru had given him.

"What the hell are all these!?" She asked shuffling through the pile on top of her.

"Books on lycanthropy, the Varvul, etc, etc. and watch your mouth, I didn't raise you to be like me." He snapped at her.

Marlene noticed Cadeyrn leaving the room. "Where are you going exactly?"

"Call it unfinished business." The mercenary remarked grabbing his sword from against the wall and leaving the room proceeding down the hallway.

He saw Karasu, Relthor, and The Ogre all talking on a blacony when he poked his head between them and placed a hand on Karasu's shoulder.

"Mind if I talk to Karasu for a minute?" He asked the group smiling.

Inzikai smiled as he watched Ar'mai float around in the pool. "I never knew you were a fish," he chuckled as he sat at the edge of the pool.

"What... you have never heard of the water elves?" Ar'mai questioned as she continued to lay motionless, floating in the soothing waters of Rimoru's pool. Even though she wasn't of the water elf variety, she, like most elves, enjoyed water, like streams, brooks, and ponds, very much.

"Oh, of course, Cadeyrn. What can I help you with?" Karasu asked as she walked away with him.

"Call it a test." Caderyn said smirking as he led Karasu to a large courtyard.

The mercenary turned and tossed his massive blade before Karasu.

"A while back in the desert I always thought you had an eye on me, and then I saw your fighting style. Very assassin'ish if I do say so, and then when my children were fleeing from bandits you vanished into the desert and afterwards they were all fine, supposedly. Now Marlene suddenly shows up here curtesey of the doggie. Something stinks here and I'm beginning to think you and Beau have a connection somehow." Cadeyrn deducted while lowering his head facing Karasu.

He pointed at his blade resting on the groun five feet from him. "If you're an assassin then this is your chance to claim your stake." He claimed while drawing a sinister smile.

"Water elves?" Inzikai asked curiously. "Do they live near the oceans? I have never heard of such creatures..."

"He did not ask for you," came the Ogre's gruff reply.

Rimoru watched as her door closed, Cadeyrn running down the hall. She lay herself down on the bed. After a minute, she faced Lorathin and smiled.

"So, what book were you looking for, anyways?" she asked as she snuggled up to a large, plush pillow.

"You could say that..." Ar'mai mused as she glistened in her the warm day's sun. "I assume you know there are many different types of elves..."

"Of course. There were marsh elves in-" Inzikai stopped suddenly as he raised an eyebrow at Ar'mai. "Are you trying to pry information out of me again?"

"Call it a test." Caderyn said smirking as he led Karasu to a large courtyard.

"Cadeyrn, I told you I was a sometime assassin. I am primarily a bodyguard, however, if I am hired to assassinate someone such as the leader of theives and pilliagers, I will do so. I do not harm innocents... ever. It is my life's calling." Karasu told him.

"As far as having my eye on you, I was worried, because, as much as you tried to hide it, I saw a tear fall down your face after you received the note."

Karasu was quite confused at all of this.

"Now you confuse me more by believing me to be an enemy? And one more thing... Who is Bo?" she asked Cadeyln.

"Of course. There were marsh elves in-" Inzikai stopped suddenly as he raised an eyebrow at Ar'mai. "Are you trying to pry information out of me again?"

"Only as far as to make sure you are not ignorant to the world," she commented.

"You were saying... 'There were marsh elves in...'"

"Marsh elves in...the marshes," Inzikai replied, grinning widely. "That's where marsh elves live, right?"

Cadeyrn smiled as he reeled in his sword with a piece of thin wire attached to the hilt.

"You are an ally then." He commented while sighing heavily. "However, as kind as I am, I am far beyond innocent. I am sorry if I seem apprehensive, but after what I did to save Marlene I've made a lot of enemies."

Who is Beau?

"Beau was, well still is, The King of the Varvul, a wolfman race that is hellbent on consuming the earth for their own glory. He is the other trapped inside of me who reveals himself in the presence of a powerful moon." He admitted almost ashamed before grinning at the corner of his lips. "But soon enough I'll kill him and end it all."

"Well I wasn't looking for a specific book, that's Sarik's job. I just like books." He replied as he took a seat on the floor, lotus style.

"Cadeyern, how did he get in you? How will you get him out of you? Why did he bring Marlene? Perhaps she should not be around you if that Bo can get out. He must have brought her here for something terrible." Karasu said, concerned.

"What, if anything, can I do? I could protect Marlene, but would she leave your side? Of course protecting her will... compromise myself in a way, but I would do it for her."

Karasu sighed. "What can I do? Can anyone else help as well?"

"Oh? What books are your favorites?" she asked, her eyes half closed as she seemed to be quite tired.

"Don't have any specific favorites, and do you want to take a nap, as it seems like your tired." He commented

"I'm fine..." she yawned, stretching lazily. "So...tell me about yourself Azy."

She rolled onto her stomach, resting her chin on her pillow. She smiled warmly as she examined Lorathin.

"When Beau is released, I want everyone to see what I can do to his kind, especially Marlene who is taking this situation rather lightly. I'm an expert at killing his kind." He boasted rather arrogantly. "If you can, however, Marlene could use some help reading those books."

Suddenly from out of nowhere the young lady tackled him with a hig sending the mercenary to his back.

"I found it! Here!" Marlene yelled excited she would have her hero back to normal pointing to a short phrase in a book.

"What would you like to know?" He asked as he returned her smile, while an idle thought that this was like a girl's slumber party crossed his mind.

"How about your birthmark?" Rimoru asked quietly, as she locked her gaze onto his eyes.

"What about them?" He asked, thought depending on how observent she was, she'd have noticed he stiffened for a second.

"Oh? A deep dark secret perhaps?" Rimoru asked as a small grin formed on her lips. "I have rarely seen birthmarks in such a detailed shape as to look like tattoos. Do not think I can't detect some importance in them."

"I'm sorry Cadeyrn." Karasu felt she may cry. This was a dangerous situation.

When he threw his sword over his back, she saw the word Dragonslayer. Did he really... ??? Suddenly she had a pain in her stomach.

Marlene came running up, and believe it or not had the antidote to removing the wolf from Cadey without much pain.

"Cadey, this is wonderful! I know a little about plants, but I think elves know more. I may be wrong. Also, perhaps Rimoru has a garden with some of these ingredients or knows where to get them!" Karasu said excitedly.

"Unfortunately, I have no clue where Rimoru is." she said dejectedly.
