"I'm coming, human," Kalzog growled as he walked behind Lorathin. "Hurry up, I'm getting hungrier by the second..."

"Come along then." Lorathin replied as he lead the ogre to the kitchen.

"You do not want divine like powers?" Ar'mai questioned with a raised eyebrow as she relaxed deep into the cushions of a nearby couch.

Kalzog followed, his mouth watering. "So, what does Rimoru have anyways? I can't imagine her eating a lot, much less a whole cow or so."

"No," Inzikai replied, sitting down next to Ar'mai.

"I bet you expected me to, right Ar'mai?" he said, giving her a little smirk.

"Her larder is fairly extensive, now come one and help me decide what to feed you." He commented as he lead the ogre into the storeroom.

Kalzog rubbed his hands together as he followed. He took a glimpse in the larder, and his eyes grew wide. "Wow...how can one little woman eat so much...meat?" he asked as he walked in, noticing beef, pork, deer, chicken, and thousands of other meats.

"She wants variety, thus she has a large variety of meat." He replied, "And please don't drool all over."

"Surprising...I don't see dragon meat..." he said. Suddenly images of the strange black and gold dragon appeared in his head. "Not that I would want any," he added.

Kalzog lifted a large cow carcass as well as a pig, and several chickens. "Let's start with these," he said with a smile.

Rimoru pressed herself into Rothargot, kissing him passionately, her eyes fluttering as her cheeks turned a reddish color. After they kissed she fanned herself with her hand, breathing heavily.

"Rothy...I never knew you were so...passionate!" she panted, looking into his red eyes, brushing some strands of hair out of her face.

"I didn't either," Rothargot laughed, not even trying to cover up his lower end now. "Neither did I realize how beautiful you are..."

Rimoru turned a bright red color, as she smiled. She reached out and slowly felt along his muscles as he flexed them.

The former demi-god moved closer to her and kissed her slowly. Rimoru moaned quietly as she soon realized that she must have Rothargot...more than anything else...

"How do you want them cooked?" He asked as they headed back to the kitchen.

"Cooked?" asked Kalzog, crunching on a frozen chicken. He looked at the remaining chicken and set it on top of his pile of meats. "I dunno...what would taste the best?"

"Fried, baked into a pie, steamed, broiled, bbq'd, cajun, spicy.." He commented

"I bet you expected me to, right Ar'mai?" he said, giving her a little smirk.

"I expect every mortal to... such is the nature of man," Ar'mai replied.

"Cajun?" Kalzog asked. "Barbequed? You humans and your strange ways...Sure, give me one of each."

"I expect every mortal to... such is the nature of man," Ar'mai replied.


"So would you trust yourself with the book? And why would you trust Lorathin over Sarik?" Inzikai responded.

"Alright, but there's not enought for each type to be done, but I can make you some bbq'd and Cajuned." He replied as he headed into the kitchen to being cooking Kalzog's food.

After Rothargot's disappearance out into the hall with Rimoru, Maverion and Teralynn began exchanging information. While it took effort for Tera to concentrate on such things, at least it helped to divert her from, say, trying to choke someone to death with her bare hands because of the pain she was going through.

Tera first told Mave about the large, mechanical spider-like units and all their abilities that she saw in use.

After abruptly ending the story at when she returned to her room, leaving the guard waiting outside her door, Maverion asked, And then?

Rimoru came and turned him into a rat, was all she filled in on. He is in a box somewhere over there. She vaguely waved a hand in the general direction of where Rothargot put the box down at. The box was now completely still and silent; the rat probably having bled to death already.

Maverion then told her about the new developments that happened in the palace, such as the arrival of Inzikai and the others, and Inzikai's new order. D'oh, I need to tell Rothargot to stay out of sight of the new arrivals. You'll be alright while I'm gone?

I am not a child, was Tera's only response.

Fair enough. Though you did look like one while curled up in your bed, Mave thought to her.

Without bothering to say anything, Tera tried to splash him with the water she was soaking in.

Mave jumped back to avoid the majority of the attack before chuckling and heading toward the door and going out into the hallway. He made sure the door closed shut, and used his mind to lock it. Walking over to the new guard, he asked, "Where did they go?"

Seeing as how the only "they" Mave could be referring to in that stretch of the hall was Rimoru and Rothargot, it was not hard for him to follow the path the other two did. But then he ended up at a dead end, both literal and figurative. He sent his mind out to sense for any hidden passages around, but found none. He was also unable to sense Rothargot, as he did not expect the demon to have an elven mind now. Confused yet again, Mave started going back to Tera's room.

"So would you trust yourself with the book? And why would you trust Lorathin over Sarik?" Inzikai responded.

"I would trust Lorathin over Sarik because Lorathin has now vested interest in this land or people... Sarik does," Ar'mai responded.

"And I am no man..." she said with a smile.

Karasu surprised Relthor and flipped over on him sitting on him, tearing his clothes off and kissing him passionately. "You may have your massage later, my love." She was breathing heavily... gasping from kissing him.

Karasu sucked on his neck and down his chest as her hands explored his body.

"Relthor... I ache for you too much right now... please... can we put off the massage?" She covered his mouth with her full lips, tasting him.

"I must have you... I cannot wait for a massage Relthor!"

Walking out of his room, with his arm around Shara's waist, Harlin surveyed the assorted damage, and cocked his head and raised his eyebrow.

"What's been going on out here?"

Shara looked up at him, "Beats the hell out of me..."

Minos joined them from across the hall, "Looks like some kind of battle."

Harlin looked at him with mock surprise, "That must be it!... Way to state the obvious Minos."

Minos turned back to them, "Sorry, just wanted to make sure that you were grasping the situation with your feeble mind."

"Feeble? I'll show you feeble!"

Shara stepped in between them before Harlin could pounce on Minos. "Boys, boys... Let's not contribute to this mess. We should go find the others."

Minos nodded, keeping his secret knowledge of the book just that for a while longer.

"Relthor..." Karasu moaned... "Please do not make me wait..." She was consumed by lust and passion.

"Then, have me, Karasu," Relthor gasped, as he too ached for Karasu. His wings lay sprawled on the bed, considering they could not fold while he laid on his back.

Relthor pressed himself closer to Karasu. "I love you, Karasu," he said quietly, before continuing with what would be a very passionate evening.

"No, you are not," Inzikai laughed. "Ar'mai, do you remember when you met Valtrox? Do you remember what you thought of him?"

"How much longer, mage?" Kalzog growled as he watched Lorathin cook.

Rimoru lay sprawled out in bed, only a nearly transperent sheet covering her. She slept quietly in Rothargot's arms as he cradled the powerful empress. He listened to her soft breath, felt her warmth. He had fallen for her...

But duty calls. Rothargot kissed Rimoru on the forehead before carefully getting out from under her. "I'll be back, Rimoru," he whispered as he searched for some clothes to wear. He found an incredibly large walk in closet, in which he toured, looking for some sort of man's clothes. Not finding any, he found himself a medium sized bathrobe, in which would serve him a short while. He could ask if Maverion had any clothes to wear...as long as he could distinguish his new elven form as the demi-god.

He looked one last time at the napping Karasu and carefully walked outside.

"Ten minutes for all but if you want to begin with some that's already cooked, it's in here." He called back.

"I love you too!" Karasu gasped, knowing it would be a long erotic time they would have.

ooc: my puter is messed up... tried to respond much earlier...

Walking through the halls, Harlin and Shara heard the sounds of passionate love coming form Relthor, and Karasu's room.

Harlin smiled, "Someone's having fun."

Shara cave him a mischevious look, and bit her lip seductively. "We could have fun too..."

Blissfully, Harlin said nothing as Shara took hold of his hand and led him into the neighboring room.

Minos looked at the floor and scoffed, "Lovers..." Looking back and forth to make sure no one was coming, he said Ston's name in the tongue of the palace.

"Are you ready now Minos?" came Ston's reply.

Minos nodded, and said "Yes."

Several seconds of silence followed, and then several of the stones that comprised the floor raised to form a pathway. Minos stepped on it and it whisked him away on a wave of paving stones.

Kalzog had not even waited. What Lorathin had cooked, was already nestled into Kalzog's stomach. "Where?" he asked, half smiling, as he stared hungrily at the remaining meats.

Relthor and Karasu had finished their business and now lay close to each other.

"My love...that was the best yet," Relthor chuckled. "I suppose I should massage and tickle you more often!"

He kissed Karasu lightly on the lips. "I feel as though I can do this forever...with a short amount of rest in between, of course!" he chuckled.

"Glutton." Lorathin commented as he rotated the beef before checking on the rest of the cooking meats.

ooc: storm didn't hit... my puter is fucked up... :headbang:

"Relthor, I agree completely... You are an amazing lover. I hope I pleased you as well?" Karasu asked as she snuggled up to him.

"More than anything, my love. More than anything," he replied kissing her again.

"If every tickle does that, I think I'm going to keep this feather with me forever!" he laughed as he tickled Karasu's nose.

"Nonsense. I have barely eaten my fill. Us ogres can eat tons of things. You should see some of the chiefs my tribe has had. Giant bags of lard they were. Hard to kill, but only because all their fat protected them so well..." Kalzog replied.

"Must be very immobile if they're so fat." He commented as he rotated the meat once more, gestured, and then, "It's ready for consumption, but may be a bit hot."

"Aye, they were immobile. Heck, I'd be surprised if they had any leg muscle at all!" Kalzog said as he grabbed a huge chunk of beef and ate it hungrily.

"They used other ogres to carry them around, or giants if they could tame the beasts."

"I have yet to see how you react to the feather..." Karasu said slyly.

"Oh, Relthor... I am in heaven. Will you come live with me when this is finished? We can raise our son together." she asked him.

"Over my years in captivity, I grew immune to the feather," Relthor joked, sticking his tongue out at Karasu.

"Kara...I'd go anywhere with you, my love," he replied, giving Karasu another passionate kiss.

"Speaking of my son...when do you think...he's going to...well," Relthor rubbed Karasu's stomach. "He's going to begin showing? I have not seen a dragon born when one is in the form of a human, but I know it is quite possible. I just do not want you to be in danger, should he show himself soon."

Relthor looked lovingly into Karasu's eyes, as he rubbed her sides.

Teralynn popped up from her reclined position in the bathtub when, out of seemingly nowhere, yet everywhere, she heard, "Are you ready now Minos?" She looked around to see if anyone was in her room, but there was no one. Having never heard the walls speak before she got her ring, she had no idea it was the palace itself speaking.

"Is someone here?" she demanded. The only reply she got was silence.

Tera got out of the tub, splashing and dripping water all over the floor. She did not care that her clothes were soaked, though, as the water actually helped to keep her a little cooler from the heat of both her body and the desert temperature.

She started to painfully make her way toward the door when the lock on it clicked and Maverion came back in.

What are you doing? he asked of her.

I heard a voice in here, she replied. There is something here. It was talking to something or someone else. Minos.

Maverion immediately scanned the room once again with his mind, but found nothing of intelligence. Whatever it is, I can't sense it. He then saw Tera lurching over slightly, trying to avoid putting too much pressure on her hurting feet. He then lifted her a few inches into the air, distributing the counteracting force to gravity all through her body instead of letting it concentrate at the soles of her feet, thereby lightening the pain.

I couldn't find Rothargot. I don't even sense him on the premises. It was like when the two of you disappeared last night, Mave said.

I do not think he would have gone to see Valtrox again, thought Tera. Especially not when Rimoru is probably somewhere around. She shook her head. This is a strange place, with strange happenings. Let us try to find Rimoru.

Rothargot, at least Elven Rothargot, hurredly walked to the room where Tera and Mave were at. His bathrobe was barely long enough to stretch close to his knees. Rothargot knocked on their door, not sure if he could use his powers in this form.

Mave? Tera? It's Rothargot...I'm in a...predicament... he thought to them, hoping one of them would believe him.

"No, you are not," Inzikai laughed. "Ar'mai, do you remember when you met Valtrox? Do you remember what you thought of him?"

"Indeed I do..." Ar'mai commented softly, wondering where he was going with it.

"Oh, you will love my palace, Relthor!" Karasu exclaimed. "You can fly right off the bedroom balcony over the ocean!" She smiled and her eyes twinkled.

"As far as when I will show, and information about pregnancy, I am afraid this is my first child, and I am not very knowledgeable about such things. I guess we have to find someone who is." She informed him.

Karasu kissed him again. "Do you have any ideas for names for our son?"

Mave and Tera both arched an eyebrow. As Tera stayed floating in place, Mave went to the door and opened it just a crack to see the elf on the other side.

His immediate thought was one of treachery. Someone did something to Rothargot and was now trying to trick the two of them. Mave quickly delved into the mind of the elf, something he would not have done to Rothargot, and found some disturbing images.

What happened to you!? Mave asked Rothargot, upon realizing it was indeed the demon.

Teralynn, unable to go anywhere and unable to see what was on the other side of the door, asked, What? What is happening?

Rimoru tricked me... Rothargot thought back to them. He then let a smile appear. It was...fun... he laughed.

The smile disappeared soon after as he realized he was still in his tight, small bathrobe. Mave...might you have...something I could wear? he thought back, his cheeks turning a slight reddish color.

"I cannot wait, my love. My previous home had died out while I was in captivity. It was lush, beautiful...a jungle. However your home sounds like paradise..."

"A son's name..." Relthor began to think of other dragon names he's heard of.

"Alanth?" he asked as he cycled through the names. "I have not seen another dragon in so long..."

"What did you think of him?" Inzikai asked as he looked deeply into Ar'mai's eyes.

"Ah, now while you gorge, I'll be off. Have a nice meal." Lorathin commented

Having been oblivious to Rothargot's new dresswear, Maverion furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at the elf's clothing before quickly averting his eyes.

Uh...I have a change of clothes in my room. Let me go grab it, Mave responded.

I want to see! Teralynn's voice came into their minds.

We'll be back, Mave told her. Don't move.

I cannot even if I wanted to! she said, but Mave had already slipped out the door and closed it behind him, leaving her still floating in the air.

At his room, he grabbed his pack and pulled out his spare clothes. "Let's see if they'll fit you," he commented while tossing them over at Rothargot.

So, how exactly did she trick you?

"Well, Relthor, I am actually Queen of my sect of dragons, so I see them on business plenty. I can communicate telepathically with them, but only with them. I am sorry you have had no dragon company for so long... but..." Karasu smiled slyly, "was it not worth the wait?"

"And where do you think you're going, Mage?" Kalzog asked as he brought Lorathin a seat. "Don't you want to enjoy some of your food?"

Rothargot smiled at Teralynn's comments. His time with Rimoru was great...he began to wonder if Tera was any better...

Snapping out of it, he laughed and cought the clothes that Maverion tossed at him.

I went with her to ask if we may go to the Library. She said not until I 'loosen up'. She gave me a potion and I refused to drink it. However, as I was talking, she shoved the whole thing into my mouth, in which I fell unconscious. And I awoke to this! Rothargot replied as he opened up his bathrobe, having no clue that most males would rather not look at another male naked.

"My love, I yearn for you every second, now that I've met you. I cannot even try to imagine how it would be if I had to wait another several hundred years!" Relthor replied to Karasu. He slowly brought his lips to hers, kissing her lightly around her face.

"Karasu...you are so...sexy," he laughed, giving her a mischevious smile.

Let me down! Teralynn's voice rang in Maverion's head.

Fine, fine, Maverion told her as he gently set her back on the ground.

Mave looked away again when Rothargot exposed himself. "No need to show," he said. So I'm guessing Rimoru got to you.

Unlock the door! Teralynn's voice again came into Mave's mind.

Maverion simply grinned.

"Well Relthor, you're pretty sexy yourself, you know." Karasu kissed him lightly on the lips.

"We really have a great future to look forward to," she said smiling with a far off look in her eyes.

"I love you so much Relthor. I am so very lucky to have found you."

"Not really, not that hungry." He replied

"Not hungry? Pah!" Kalzog grinned. He picked up a big chunk of meat and stuffed it in Lorathin's mouth. "You lie. I can always tell when you skinny creatures lie..."

"Karasu...I am glad I have found you. I would be so alone right now, if it were not for the moment we had found the jewel of the desert...you," he replied.

"I cannot wait to have our future together, my love. And raise our son together, so he can grow up to be kind and gently, and loving of all things. Plus, get the good looks of his mother...and hopefully her size," he laughed.

"Forgive me," Rothargot mumbled as he put on the pants. Although he was no where near as tall as he once was, he still was somewhat tall. He stood at half his former height, about six feet, ten inches. The pants could not fit completely, but it was an improvement over the woman's bathrobe. "I am still learning mortal ways."

Yes...Rimoru got to me...I never knew you mortals could have so much fun he laughed again as he tried on the shirt. It was tight, showing off a six pack, as well as large arm muscles.

"Uh..." Rothargot coughed as he moved his clothes to make them more comfortable. "Is this good?" he asked quietly.

Lorathin spit it out. "You think anyone that doesn't look like you is hungry."

You are evil, you hear me? Teralynn's voice continued in Mave's head.

I'll take that as a compliment? Maverion answered.

"Not really," Mave said with a shake of his head, looking especially at the large gap between the hem of the pants and Rothargot's ankles. "You look like you're getting ready for a flood. We'll have to get you some better-fitting clothes when he can."

Will you be able to change back?

Mave unlocked Teralynn's door once Rothargot had dressed, and after a little while of her shuffling down the hall, the doorhandle to Mave's room jiggled. Then there came a frustrated scream from the other side. "Unlock your door!" Tera's voice demanded.

"I agree with everything you say Relthor... except perhaps our son will not be quite as large as I!" She giggled and lightly kissed him on the lips. Then Karasu snuggled into him, as if she could get any closer, which she really could not.

Having Relthor's arms around her right now was Heaven itself.

"Karasu...I love you so much...no one comes close to my love to you," he smiled as he kissed her on the forhead.

"My love...are you a good swimmer?" Relthor asked as he put his arms around Karasu. He loved her so much, he felt that love was not a good enough word for it.

He held the feather in his hand behind Karasu, ready to tickle her if he saw an opening...

I should be changing back by tomorrow...or tonight... Rothargot replied as he stiffly walked around. Unless Rimoru was joking...in which I'd be stuck in this body forever!

You mortals hurt often... he howled as he banged his foot on the bed, hopping around on one foot.

"I am actually a good swimmer, Relthor... even in my massive, leviathon dragon form." Karasu giggled.

She saw the feather in his hand. "Now now... put the feather down, sweetie!"

Relthor smiled. "What feather, beautiful?" he asked as he brushed it against her ear. He laughed quietly.

"Would you like to take a dip in the pool, Karasu?" asked Relthor, looking into Karasu's eyes with his own big round ones, as he motioned his mouth as though he was going to cry.

"Pwease, Kara, pwease?"

Kalzog laughed at Lorathin. "Nooo. Just most people," he laughed as he ate up the other meats Lorathin made.

"Compliments to the chef. These aren't half bad," he said while his mouth was full.

Mave nodded, Yes, it would be best not to bang up against anything as long as you're in this form. And let us hope Rimoru isn't lying. But if nothing else, maybe Lord Valtrox could return you to normal?

After further pounding on the door, Mave unlocked it with his mind and Teralynn swung it open. Her eyes immediately fell on Rothargot, followed by an unstifled and hearty laugh. This brought a little bit of coughing that soon went away. Her laugh toned down to a chuckle as she started taking deep breaths and wiped away a tear from one of her eyes. Reopening them, she saw Rothargot again, looking as if he did not know what to do, and she burst into another round of laughter.

"You should have seen Rimoru with my waffles." Lorathin commented as the ogre finished the meats.

"Am I joking?" Rothargot asked Maverion, a slight smile spreading across his face as he began to sit down. Slight rips could be heard as he lowered himself.

Suddenly, Rothargot's eyes widened. NO! Don't tell Valtrox...he'll kill me. He know what I did. I order you! he ordered. Yet, he wasn't even sure if he had much power in him, considering his mortal form. He knew he couldn't disappear nor control fire without his previous body.

You seem to be getting used to the pain already, Tera Rothargot said as she laughed heartily.

"Rimoru with waffles?" Kalzog laughed. "Oh? How many did she eat?"

"Here is the deal, Relthor." Karasu looked at him slyly and when he was not paying much attention, she grabbed the feather and got a wicked grin on her face.

"Oh, do not worry, I will not use it yet... but you have something to look forward to." Karasu laughed.

"I would love to go swimming! It sounds perfect. Although I have nothing to wear." Karasu got up and started rummaging through Rimoru's drawers. "Bingo! I will borrow this bikini... not much of one, is it?" Karasu cracked up laughing. "Typical Rimmy! Let us go swimming now!"

Karasu waited by the door for Relthor.

"I stopped counting after the eigth." Lorathin replied as the ogre chuckled.

Mave looked over at the laughing Teralynn before replying to Rothargot, Very well, then. I won't mention any of this. But if you're stuck in this form, he'll find out sooner or later.

Teralynn managed to calm down again. Not that I am complaining about this distraction from what is happening to me, but you look absolutely ridiculous! she thought to the demon. What are you supposed to be? A half-giant elf?

"Hey! That's mine you sneak!" chuckled Relthor as the feather was taken away from him. "I'll watch you carefully...but I think I may be distracted a bit," he added as he kissed her.

"I'm sure you'll look twenty times better in it, Karasu," smiled Relthor as he began to wonder what he would wear. "Kara, do you know if there are any swimming trunks there as well?"

Kalzog laughed. "Wow, It's amazing how she doesnt end up looking like me! Now what's this about a truth or dare game you talked about earlier?"

"Rimoru talked us into playing the game." He replied

Oh? And what are you supposed to be? A lizard? Rothargot shot back, snickering as he knew she would grow horns soon.

And I am no giant! Look at me! I'm tiny! I used to be twice this height! he thought as he stood up again, more ripping could be heard. And I'm constantly getting hurt!

"And?" asked Kalzog as he ate peacefully.

"And people asked each other questions, and did the dares. Other than the blow up at the end, it was pretty routine." He commented

"Was it fun?" Kalzog asked as he looked around for something to drink.

"Well seeing Rimoru turn into a rabbit was." He comment

"Well," Karasu kissed Relthor passionately, "do you necessarily need to have swimming trunks?" Karasu looked at him seductively.

"I think I will put this on." She proceeded to put on the bikini, which looked stunning on her, and showed off all her curves.

"Not bad I guess."

Kalzog laughed at that. "Imagine that...was she a cute wittle wabbit? Did wittle Azy want to cuddle up with the wittle wabbit?" Kalzog laughed as he decided to forget the drink and continue eating.

"Not bad? Karasu, don't be so modest!" Relthor laughed as he boggled over her. "Oh Karasu...I may not be able to walk out the door..." he laughed as he ran over to her and held her tight.

"You are to pretty for your own good, do you know that?" Relthor laughed as he kissed her passionately.

"You're right! I don't need shorts," laughed Relthor, as he rubbed Karasu.

"Blow it out the ear Kal." Lorathin commented with a scowl.

"Whoa, little man. Wasn't trying to insult you...I'm thinking you have feelings for little Rimmy," Kalzog smirked as he finished up the last of his meal.

"I don't have those kind of feelings for her." Lorathin commented, slightly annoyed at the ogre's smirk.

"Oh? What kind of feelings then?" Kalzog asked as he began to look around the kitchen for something to drink.

"I respect her and like her as a friend." He replied, "Still hungry?"

"Well, I guess this is a good look for me then." Karasu said to Relthor after seeing his reaction. "Is that the towel rack look?" she teased him.

"You may have to wait a little bit before we go down to the pool." Karasu was stifling a laugh, but grinning madly.

Your eyes must have gone bad in the transformation, Rothargot, to not be able to tell a human apart from a Skizzarish, thought Teralynn, the image of having horns sticking out of her head not yet cemented into her brain. But then she laughed all the more at the awkward-looking demon general as he moved about.

Alright, alright, you two, Maverion began. With a wave of his hand, his door closed again and locked. We need to get down to business now. Lord Inzikai is here, along with a group of other people. He says these others are trying to get their hands on the same book we are to prevent us from getting it. Hopefully, they have not already gotten to it. Lord Inzikai wants us to pretend to be someone other than who we are, so that these people won't know that we are here to take the book. I have read the mind of one of the guards here and have determined the layout and defenses of the library - and there are plenty of defenses. The main obstacle, however, is that, according to the guard, the library is simply inaccessible without Rimoru's direct permission. You mentioned she said she wanted you to be "loosened up," Lord Rothargot, before allowing us entry into the library. Do you believe that she will grant us permission now?

"I don't know if i can wait any longer, Karasu. You're to beautiful!" laughed Relthor as he began to kiss Karasu again.

"If you don't mind water there's a sink in the kitchen." Lorathin replied

"You just wait," Rothargot growled at Tera, sticking his tongue at her.

"As for Rimoru... I think I gave her a good enough time."

Teralynn stuck her tongue back out at Rothargot. When the comment about Rimoru came, Tera was confused at first. Huh? Gave her a good time?

But then it hit her. The transformation into an elf. The lack of clothes. Loosening up and giving the most flirtatious national leader a good time. You did not! Oh, that is sick! She started laughing again.

Maverion, on the other hand, remained professional. She's given us permission to enter the library, then?

"Cadeyrn Bran, Rimoru's Bodyguard, and the cause of most of the dead Varvul out there. Might I ask who you are while we're on formalities?" He asked slightly suspicious of someone who could float. "You're rather lucky, if I hadn't smelled werewolf blood on you I would have pegged you with one of these swords."
"A pleasure to meet you. My name is Ker Valerith
Cadeyrn, always alert for possible assassins and already suspicious, would surely have noticed the vampire's gleaming fangs by this time.

"Bodyguard to the Emperess, eh? I'm expecting to meet someone here. Does she have any guests at the moment?"

Valerith did not reply to the comment about the swords, but his faintly gleaming red eyes examined the weapons carefully.

"Relthor, let us just go for a swim first." Karasu grinned. "It sounds like you need to cool off a bit anyway. I would kiss you again, however I do not want you walking around the palace looking like 'Towel Rack Man'."

Karasu started laughing and giggling. "Put a towel around yourself and let us go to the pool. Once you are under water, you will not have to worry, my love." She smiled slyly and walked out the door in her barely there bikini.

"Now come with me or face the feather!" Karasu turned around and waved it at him, chuckling.

"Oh no!" laughed Relthor in mock horror. "Not the feather!"

Relthor ran to a towel rack and took a fairly large towel and wrapped it on his waist.

"Yes master, I will follow," he said as though he were a zombie, walking like one as well, behind Karasu.

Oh? You do not think I can do it? Would you like to try for yourself, Tera? Rothargot laughed, giving her a cocky grin.

She didn't specifically say that we had access yet, however we can ask and I'm sure she'd let us, Rothargot said in response to Mave's question.

"Water? I bet the Empress keeps other drinks around here somewhere!" he growled as he began opening cabinets and tossing out jars.

ooc: That was happening to me last night/the morning, but only on certain threads. Good thing I put my posts into Word or at least copy them in case. Don't you remember me telling you to do that?! *tsk tsk*

"Relthor, I never knew you were so goofy!" Karasu began laughing at his zombie imitation.

When he did not expect it, Karasu turned around, ran at him, and tickled him with the feather. His towel dropped to the floor, and Karasu was laughing so hard tears were coming out of her eyes.

"And that, my love, is only a small sample of my feather vengance!" She grinned and teased him some more, walking up to him very seductively, wearing the bikini that barely covered anything, giving him a sly look.

"Let us get to the pool before someone comes down the hall and sees this!"

Karasu began to walk faster, heading down the stairs to the outside door leading to the garden.

"Hurry up zombie!" she yelled.

"You're so evil! Don't think this won't be without retaliation!" laughed Relthor as pulled up the towel, his cheeks slightly red.

As Karasu descended down the stairs, Relthor shouted down to her. "Slow down! My towel won't stay on if I run!" He was walking briskly down the stairs, his hands holding up the towel.

"Probably but you shouldn't raid her wineceller without permission, you'd drain it dry." Lorathin replied with a chuckle.

Kalzog smiled at Lorathin. "Surely she could just conjure up some more wine?" he laughed.

"Come, I have never truly seen how much alcohol you need to get drunk..." Kalzog laughed as he looked for the cellar.

"Maybe, but what if she was saving a special bottle from a vintage year?" He asked, "And that's because I've never gotten drunk."

"Never gotten drunk? Ha ha! More the reason why you should now," Kalzog laughed.

"Well, we'll save a little bit of each for her, if she was saving one," the ogre laughed as he found a door that seemed to lead downwards.

"Just raid her beer casks, alright?" Lorathin commented "Because if you break the seal, then it goes off quicker."

"Alright...you're not going to come with? You know you want some," laughed Kalzog as he descended the stairs.

"Oh I'm coming, if only to keep you from emptying her cellers." He replied

Kalzog laughed as he walked down to the massive cellar. Barrels upon barrels of wine were set up on racks, creating an underground labyrinth of alcohol.

"Wow..." Kalzog gasped as he walked along. "Does the Empress get drunk often?" he asked, laughing quietly as he traversed the maze.

"How should I know?" Lorathin commented as he followed the ogre.

"Well, she did sleep with you, didn't she? I would expect her to have been drunk to think those thoughts," laughed Kalzog as he walked up to one large barrel.

The ogre looked around, searching for something to drink the wine out of.

"You have a very one track mind concerning me and Rimoru, if I didn't know better I'd think you had a crush on her." Lorathin commented

"Perhaps in another form, Azrael," laughed Kalzog as he picked up the heavy barrel and set it on the floor. "You think you can drink a whole barrel? Or else you'd need some sort of mug or glass..."

"I'm sure you can finish that on your own." Lorathin commented

"Oh, this ain't mine," smirked Kalzog as he rolled the barrel to Lorathin, while searching for another barrel.

"Well I'm not drinking it." He replied as he stopped the barrel, something easier said than done.

"Why not?" Kalzog asked as he pulled out an even bigger barrel for himself.

"For one thing, I'd never be thirsty enought, for another you're trying to get me drunk for some reason, and that's a good enought reason not to drink it." Lorathin replied

"I just want to see how little ol' Azrael the proper acts when he gets drunk. You're probably not as stiff as you usually are," Kalzog replied as he picked up the barrel and lifted it, as the wine began to fall into his mouth.

"Which is a prefect reason not to let you get me drunk, who knows what mischief may result." Lorathin commented as the ogre began chugging the barrel.

Kalzog laughed as he pulled the half-empty barrel away. "Wine...too sweet..." He tossed the barrel to the side, wine leaking onto the floor as he began to search for something more bitter...

"Oh? What mischievious things do you think you would do? Presonally, I just see you passing out after a drop or two of any alcoholic beverage."

"I don't trust you not to try something." Lorathin replied as he cast a spell to right the barrel, "And a couple drops would not be enought to knock me out."

"Prove it," smiled Kalzog as he glanced at Lorathin before sniffing a nearby barrel.

"Fine, if it'll shut you up for a bit." Lorathin commented as he went over to went over to one of the barrels, and pulling out a mug, filled it up and drank it with a grimace. "Satisfied?" He asked with a scowl on his face.

"Nope. How do I know you didn't use magic to make it disappear?" Kalzog replied as he pulled out another barrel.

"You could try smelling my breath, or take my word on it." Lorathin commented mildly.

"Well, that didn't shut me up. I guess you'll have to drink the whole barrel," Kalzog laughed as he began tasting another barrel.

"For one thing, it's physically impossible for me to drink it." Lorathin commented, "For another, I'm not going to let you get me drunk, especially on something I don't particularly like."

"Just a party pooper..." Kalzog replied as he downed the contents of his current barrel. He tossed it aside as he continued searching for another barrel.

"How do you think we'll be able to persuade Rimoru to let us into the Library?" Kalzog asked as he sniffed another barrel.

"No idea, I don't even know what's suppose to be in the book we supposedly need." Lorathin replied, "You could always try and seduce Rimoru." He added with a smile.

"Don't insult me, mage. I don't love anything but battle," Kalzog growled.

Suddenly, the sound of a door opened and hushed speaking brought Kalzog to attention.

He looked up at the winding stairs and quietly slinked off behind some barrels.

Lorathin looked over, and likewise hid himself, at least until he saw who was coming.

The gnome Mebbiwik, Karasu's tiny advisor walked down to the cellar, holding something small in the palm of his hands.

"Yeah, so now there are two groups...both seeming to want the Library. One attempting to stop the other, and one attempting to nab the book..." whispered the gnome as he continued walking around.

"So she has not let anyone into the Library?" asked a somewhat familiar voice.

"None. She covers it up with 'renovations', however I'm thinking that she's going to let the 'searchers' get into the library before the 'stoppers'."

"Bad news...Has she slept with anyone yet?"

"The one named Lorathin. As for the 'searchers', I saw her escape with the massive one...the demi-god, and didn't see either of them emerge. Strange really..." The gnome walked towards Lorathin's hiding place.

"And the assassination?"

"It has been postponed. I cannot have all these lunatics wandering around the palace."

"Agreed. Good luck Mebbiwik. I must go..."

"Wait, are you close?" asked the gnome in an even quieter voice than before.

"Closer than you can imagine...be ready for anything."

"I hate surprises...Good bye" the gnome sighed. He stuffed whatever was in his hands in his pant pocket and sniffed the air.

"What's this?" Mebbiwik said as he walked over to the spilt wine, along with the empty barrel.

"Peculiar...Maybe Rimoru is getting drunk again..." laughed the gnome as he pulled out a terrible looking knife. "Good...I'll catch her off guard..."

The gnome walked up the stairs, wistling a bright and cheery tune.

Eww! Do not even- Teralynn gave a somewhat exaggerated shiver before she could complete the thought.

Then we should ask, Maverion suggested. Before the other group of people could get the book or otherwise interfere with us. Teralynn, get your things. We'd want to leave as soon as possible after getting the book.

He grabbed his own pack, now smaller without his extra set of clothes, and chucked it in the direction of his bed. Before the pack hit anything, though, the carpet flew out from under the bed and caught the pack.

Teralynn got up and wobbled back to her own room; her painful internal heat already starting to dry her clothes.

In the event that she refuses still, Mave continued as he started to head out into the hallway to wait for Tera, [i]can we persuade her with something? As a representative of Lord Valtrox, perhaps you can entice her by the idea of her being his queen if she would give us the book? After all, why be near-godlike when you can be one?[i]

You hurt my feelings, Tera replied the elven Rothargot as he walked out the door, a bit of sarcasm in the thought.

Valtrox himself has tried to persuade Rimoru, but it was to no avail. replied Rothargot as he walked to the end of the hallway, Rimoru's door still visible...

She must still be asleep

"What did you think of him?" Inzikai asked as he looked deeply into Ar'mai's eyes.

"He was an egomaniac and evil incarnate..." Ar'mai replied before hopping off the bed and continuing past Inzikai out of the kitchen. She walked down the corridor, looking for something to do. A little gnome caught her attention as it came joyfully whistling out of a door. Wondering why it was so happy, she peeked into the doorway and began down the stairs... "Hello?"

Mebbiwik was startled and nearly jumped a foot off the ground as Ar'mai's head popped into view.

"Ma'am..." panted the scared gnome. "Please do not go snooping around the palace...there are things...Rimoru likes to keep secret..."

The gnome finally noticed his wicked knife still in his hands and immediately shoved it in his pocket.

"Now off with you!" he squieked.

"Uh... I was just heading towards the cellar," Ar'mai said as she raised her eyebrow at the gnome's knife.

"No cellar for you!" the gnome squieked. "Off with you! Last thing we need are a bunch of drunks running around the palace..."

"What were you looking at?" Mebbiwik asked, knowing full well that she noticed his knife.

"I was looking at the door behind you..." Ar'mai commented. "I wished to sample some of the liquors and wines... to test them against the elven ones I am familiar with. You know... to see if they are any good."

"Surely you don't think someone such as myself would want to get drunk..."

The gnome raised an eyebrow at Ar'mai. "Rest assured, ours are better. Now shoo!" he said, trying to push the much taller Ar'mai out of the way.

Inzikai laughed as he watched from a distance, leaning against a pillar.

"Fine..." Ar'mai said, seemingly defeated. "Quick, what is your name? I am going to have to report to Rimoru that a little gnome is being inhospitable to her guests."

"What? You can't do that! I-I-I'm her advisor you little rat!" growled Mebbiwik.

Your feelings need to be as thick as your skin used to be, Teralynn replied in her room.

I see, Maverion thought in regards to the Valtrox and Rimoru thing.

Well, we should warn the necromancer. She probably shouldn't come along to the library, since Empress Rimoru doesn't like her very much, he thought to Rothargot as he headed over to Rastilia's room. He was not a fan of having the undead around, but he could not exactly leave them here either. That would probably be even more dangerous to the mission. We can tell her to stay in her room until we leave?

"What? You can't do that! I-I-I'm her advisor you little rat!" growled Mebbiwik.

"Oh, a rat am I?" Ar'mai replied. "Well now I am definately going to have to deal with you. What is your name?" she demanded, having already narrowed it down to Rimoru's advisor.

What is that supposed to mean? laughed Rothargot as he made his way to Rimoru's room.

Perhaps the necromancer can keep watch in front of the Library. Then, when theres something approaching, she can warn us.

What's Koryl going to encounter when he shows up? He should be arriving any time now.

Teralynn came back out of her room and placed her pack on the carpet, which was floating outside her door. She then got on it, and Mave told the carpet to join him and Rothargot. It means you are too soft as an elf. You need to go back to the way your were before, she answered.

Maverion stepped past the undead guards and knocked on Rastilia's door. When there was no reply, he sent his mind out to her and said, This is Maverion. Lord Rothargot wishes you to be prepared. We may be entering the library soon, and he wants you to guard the entrance and warn us if anyone approaches.

Mave then rejoined Rothargot and Teralynn at Rimoru's room.

"Oh? I've noticed how the empress looks at you...filandering with her old boyfriend," taunted the gnome. "I think she may just do it when givin the initiative..."

Agreed...this body is too soft... Rothargot replied as he poked himself in the arm, before knocking on Rimoru's door.

"Hold up a minute," came Rimoru's response. There was some shuffling, as well as a thump, and Rimoru opened her door, wearing very little, only her undergarments.

"Rothy!" she giggled as she brought her arms around his neck and kissed him on the lips.

See? he thought to Teralynn, smirking as the empress kissed him.

As Rimoru was about to kiss him again, Rothargot brought a slender finger to her lips. "Rimoru, we need to see the Library. I have done what you've asked, loosening up...more than I would have preferred."

"Oh, but you loved it, didn't you?" she asked as she groped his chest.

Rothargot smiled as his cheeks reddened. "The Library, Rimoru?"

"Of course," replied Rimoru as she walked outside, a robe forming around her. She was somewhat surprised to see Maverion and Teralynn. She reddend a bit and waved to them.

"Follow me please," she said as she walked down the hallway.

Maverion sent out his mind to scan the area for any hostiles or spies or anything else as Rothargot spoke to the empress. As he pushed his mind subtly farther out, as to avoid detection, he came upon a familiar vampiric mind somewhere in the palace.

Valerith? he sent his thought out to the vampire. Don't talk, just think. What are you doing?

To Rimoru, he gave a half bow while averting his eyes from her body.

Teralynn smiled and greeted with, "Your highness," from her position on the flying carpet.

They followed after her as instructed.

"Oh? I've noticed how the empress looks at you...filandering with her old boyfriend," taunted the gnome. "I think she may just do it when givin the initiative..."

"Well go ahead and see if you can get her to harm a guest of a foreign land..." Ar'mai said, daring him to try, knowing that any attack on her would most likely bring swift and terrible retribution.

Maverion?! I feared that you were dead! I lost track of you in the ruins, and could find no sign of you after nightfall. I was looking for Rothargot to tell him what had happened. Is he with you?

Koryl walked up the steps to the palace, looking around with curiousity. The girl seemed to be inside somewhere...

The gnome grumbled something, fiddling with the knife in his pocket. "Don't go snooping around," he finally said to Ar'mai before walking away.

Inzikai clapped his hands. "Well done, Ar'mai," he laughed as he walked towards the elf.

Rimoru walked down the hall with Rimoru locking arms with him. He didn't mind, as every second he was with the empress, he fell deeper in love.

They continued to the stairs in which Rothargot stopped Rimoru. "The others cannot see us...what if they know about us?"

"How would they? You barely look like your old self..." she laughed, kissing Rothargot on the cheek.

Mave, contact Inzikai and tell him to follow us.

Relthor and Karasu were walking down toward the gardens and pool, when they ran into a group of people they had not seen.

"Hello there, and who might you be?" Karasu asked. She knew they were the hidden guests.

Karasu lightly nudged Relthor.

Relthor nodded at Karasu, holding her tighter. "Good evening! Quite a good day for a swim!" smiled Relthor.

"Greetings," Rothargot said, bowing slightly. "I am..."

Rothargot knew he shouldn't reveal his true name, but he had no idea what common mortal names there were.

"Volson," answered Rimoru, saving Rothargot, smiling to the couple before her.

"Nice outfit," she giggled to Karasu, winking at her.

Mebbiwik the gnome was strolling around, grumbling until he noticed a strange looking man outside on the palace steps. "Halt! Who are you?" he called to him.

Harlin was sitting up in bed, regarding Shara sleeping peacefully next to him. It had been quite a time, but now the night's work must begin. Getting out of the bed, Harlin made no noise as he walked around and picked up the items of clothing that had been randomly discarded as he and Shara had made their way into the room. He looked at her dreaming form, and shivered as he remembered the pleasure of the past few hours.

Donning the collected armor, and shrouding his face behind his half mask, he climbed out the window onto the ledge. The view of the desert was mystifying, with the moon shining brightly over the infinite dunes. Turning from it, he jumped lightly onto a rain spout, and quickly climbed until he had gained the first roof.

He stopped then, and listened for guards, but heard no foot steps or breathing. Perhaps this will be easier than I expected? He continued on, scaling more walls via the small cracks and imperfections between the stones. When he reached the highest point, a tower on the north facing side of the building, he alighted on the top, wary of the four guards dozing inside. He surveyed the palace, impressed by the shear immensity of it, and tried to discern the location of the Library. It took him several minutes, but he found a large circular structure that was only six stories tall, but was huge in the ground it covered.

Knowing that that was his target, he unslung his crossbow, and began winching the bolt back for the line that would carry him to the Library. While he did this, he made note of the few guards patrolling the roof of the Library, and recognized the patterns that they followed. Then, the bolt locked back, and he was ready to take his shot.

Lifting the crossbow to his shoulder, he aimed down its ironsights. Pulling the trigger, the bolt released with a twang, and flew straight and true, until it passed through the neck of one of the guards, and lodged itself deep into he stone, where its specially designed tip formed an unbreakable bond with the stone, effectively becoming part of the building. The rope that it carried behind it jerked taught when Harlin lashed it to the spire of the tower, and swung down it.

Landing with narry a sound, Harlin cut the rope, and proceded across the roof of the Library. Seeing a skylight, Harlin looked around to make sure that none of the guards were in that vicinity, and then opened it, and fell through. Or tried to fall through, but he was stopped by an invisible force that held a solid barrier betweeen him and the air of the Library. Suddenly, the air began to move, and Harlin began to sink into the room, entering a grand, central atrium. After a little while, he landed softly on the ground, and looked over to see Minos, accompanied by... a humanoid rock.

Minos smiled and said quietly, "Couldn't let you fall, my boy."

Harlin was dumbfounded, and asked the obvious question, "How'd you get in here?"

Minos raised his hand, indicating the rockman standing next tohim and said, "This is Bilden Ston, he and his fellows brought me here."

The stone nodded its head slightly, and then spoke for itself, "Indeed, and all he had to do was ask politely."

Minos added, "They even showed me where the book was."

Harlin smiled, looking for the book somewhere on Minos' person, "Do you have it now?"

"Nope, it can't be taken from the shelf without explicit written permission from the Librarian."

"And Who's the librarian?"

"Rimoru, I imagine."

Harlin looked at the floor, the smile running from his face. He turned to Bilden, and asked, "Could you take me to it... please?"

Bilden seemed to smile, "Because you asked so nicely, certainly!"

Harlin and Minos were whisked away by the waves of stone, as Bilden dissolved into the floor. They stopped abruptly several seconds later after passing numerous shelves of books, and were deposited in front of and shelf of venerable, old tomes.

Minos indicated one of the thickest, "It's this one."

Harlin inspected it for a moment, before reaching out to grab it, but as his fingers were about to touch the spine, he was thrown backwards by an invisible force, and crashed into the bookshelf behind him, nearly knocking it over.

When the world stopped spinning, he said, "Should have seen that coming..."

Standing, and dusting himself off, he returned to his former position to inspect the book once more, but as he was about to attempt a disspell on it, shouts came from the door, and lights shone at the far end of the Library. They were still nearly a hundred yards away, but they were approaching fast, searching the rows as they went.

Harlin turned to Minos, and whispered, "We've got to go now, we'll come back forthe book. Fly us up through that skylight."

Minos aquiesced, and the two began to rise on a dense cushion of air.

Suddenly, an arrow streaked past Harlin's head,and lodged itself in a book far on the otherside of him. The guards had noticed their attempt at escape, and were responding accordingly. Harlin tapped Minos on the shoulder, and said, "Could we speed this up?"

Minos' eyes flashed into alabaster brilliance, and the two sped up out of the Library and into the cool night air.

"Oh, I hope you do not mind me borrowing it. I did not have a swimsuit of my own Rimmy." Karasu mentioned.

"So where are all of you off to? I assume these are the guests that wanted so much privacy." Karasu smiled at Rothergart.

The gnome grumbled something, fiddling with the knife in his pocket. "Don't go snooping around," he finally said to Ar'mai before walking away.

Inzikai clapped his hands. "Well done, Ar'mai," he laughed as he walked towards the elf.

"Yeah..." Ar'mai commented as she watched the gnome go.

She turned to Inzikai, "Would you mind keeping an eye on him for me... I don't trust him."

Yes, he is, Maverion answered Valerith. He then sent the vampire a mental image of the grounds and showed him where they are. Go to the library as indiscreetly as possible, but do not harm anyone on the way. Empress Rimoru would not like having any of her people being fed on, and we need to stay on her good side.

To Rothargot, he thought, Understood. Valerith the vampire has reached the palace. I told him to join us at the library as well, unless you wish otherwise.

To Inzikai, Lord Inzikai, this is your servant, Maverion. Empress Rimoru is taking us to the library now. No one else knows of our identity, though there are a couple here who are asking questions of us. A human woman and a elven man. Lord Rothargot wishes for you to join us at the library.

As Relthor and Karasu have seen him the night before as a servant, he continued playing the part. If they ask, I'm one of Empress Rimoru's guards, he told Rothargot and Teralynn.

Rothargot blushed at Karasu's smile, recieving a slight slap from behind by Rimoru.

"Keep it, Kara. You look marvelous in it," she replied, still giggling.

"Actually, we're going to the city. I had promised them a tour," Rimoru replied. She hated lieing to her best friends, but she had secretly promised Rothargot privacy.

"Come along now," she said as she tugged Rothargot, who was still staring wide-eyed at Karasu, smiling brightly.

Inzikai smiled at Ar'mai. "For you, Ar'mai," he replied as he began to follow the gnome.

Suddenly, he recieved the message from Maverion. Excellent...the book shall be ours he replied with a smile as he diverted his course, as soon as he was out of sight of Ar'mai.

Mebbiwik the gnome was strolling around, grumbling until he noticed a strange looking man outside on the palace steps. "Halt! Who are you?" he called to him.
"My name is Koryl Tarethon." he replied, keeping his slender fingers well away from his sword hilt.

"I'm looking for a scholar - an expert on ancient languages. Do you know where I might find one?"

Now that both Inzikai and the gnome were gone, Ar'mai walked a few paces down the corridor and poked her head into the cellar. "Hello?"

As Relthor and Karasu passed the others, Karasu said to Relthor: "Rimmy is lying... I know her well enough, and you do as well. I think they are going to the library." She sighed.

"What shall we do? Ignore it and go for our swim, or what?"

After the gnome left Lorathin went over to where Kalzog was and commented, "Sounds like there may be a problem with that gnome."

-Indiscreetly? I believe I can manage that...-

Without waiting for any further reply from the bodyguard, Valerith shot up to about ten feet above the ground and soared toward the library, his black cloak fluttering in his wake.

"Aye...but is it a good thing?" Kalzog asked, his eyes wide. Suddenly, Ar'mai's voice came through from the top of the cieling.

"Hey, elf, I didn't know you were also a gnome!" he shouted to her.

"Your speaking to one, Mr. Tarethon. What do you need translated?" Mebbiwik asked.

"I don't see any other choice. Rimoru would hate us if we followed, and the guards would tear us to shreds if Rimoru didn't notice. Plus, she may have added more traps and the such..." Relthor replied as he watched the group leave.

"We'll gain entrance soon, my love. I know it," he reassured Karasu, kissing her on the arm.

"It may be too late... whatever. Let us swim then."

"Aye...but is it a good thing?" Kalzog asked, his eyes wide. Suddenly, Ar'mai's voice came through from the top of the cieling.

"Hey, elf, I didn't know you were also a gnome!" he shouted to her.

"Why of course I am. I thought you knew that all elves were also annoying gnomes," Ar'mai replied sarcastically as she descended the stairs.

"Ah! How fortunate."

Koryl produced the spyglass and held it out.

"I can tell that there is some magic associated with this device, but I can't figure out exactly how it works. I thought the inscription on it might give a few clues."

Relthor smiled as he walked down to the pool. "I'm glad my towel didn't fall off...that would have been embrassing," he laughed as he looked into the clear blue water.

"Remember when I said I would get my revenge on you for tickling me in the hall?" Relthor asked mischieviously as he looked at Karasu. "Well, here it is!" he laughed as he picked up Karasu and tossed her in.

"Hello there Ar'mai." Lorathin commented as he leaned against a massive barrel of alcohol.

"Having a little man to man drunken bonding?" Ar'mai commented with a giggle as she reached the floor and looked around.

"Well Kalzog here was trying to get me drunk, for what nefarious purpose, I'm not yet sure." Lorathin commented with a chuckle.

Mave and Tera followed the two in front. Once out of earshot of the other guests, Teralynn asked Rimoru, "My lady, is it just me, or was there something more than meets the eye between you and the other woman? I could not help but notice your slapping of Rothargot here." She was a secret police officer, after all. Finding out secrets was their job.

Maverion, still scanning as subtly as possible, noticed the commotion coming from the library. Valerith, is that you already? he sent to the vampire.

"Well Kalzog here was trying to get me drunk, for what nefarious purpose, I'm not yet sure." Lorathin commented with a chuckle.

"I don't think he needs a purpose to try and get some one drunk," Ar'mai commented as she pushed herself up onto the top of a barrel.

"Weird gnome, eh?"

"Sounded like he was plotting with someone to do in Rimoru." Lorathin stated

"Oooh...this is an interesting piece of work..." smiled Mebbiwik as he examined it. "Follow me, I need to work in my room for some of this..."

"Only trying to see how you were when you're drunk...maybe a little beating as well, for that nausious moment with the dog..." he said as he walked out from behind the barrels.

"Come to get drunk with us, Ar'mai?" laughed Kalzog.

"That gnome is strange...he had a knife and has said something about assassinating someone...my guess is Rimoru..."

"We're close friends," Rimoru responded quietly. At least I hope so... she thought sadly.

"As for Rothargot...he should learn to keep his eyes on one person only..." she chuckled, leaning her head on Rothargot's shoulder.

"Your highness, I can say the same for you," he replied quietly.

"Quiet, you," she smiled as they neared the entrance. Had any other person said such a thing to her, they would have recieved a deadly fate. Yet, she didn't feel torturing the demi-god would benefit anyone, plus, she was liking his company very much.

-No! I haven't even seen a guard yet. It seems there are other visitors...-

Flying higher, Valerith saw the commotion on the roof.

-It looks like the guards are trying to capture a couple of intruders.-

He approached swiftly, watching the struggle.

OOC: "Your telegram has been wired to the Dominion of The Blastit Empire."

Koryl followed the gnome eagerly. Perhaps this puzzle was about to be solved...

The tone in Rimoru's voice when answering Teralynn was a clear giveaway that something was not quite right. Perhaps there was something to be exploited...

Mave, can you read her mind? she asked.

Are you insane? Mave replied back. I'm not going to try to read her mind! She has powers nearing that of a god's! What if she finds out?

Then do not let her find out, Teralynn thought, rather matter-of-factly. It is not as hard as you may expect.

Not that you would know, Mave told her.

Actually... Tera remembered when she lied to both Valtrox and Rothargot in Valtrox's own realm and got away with it. But she chose not to divulged the incident. Just do it. Very slightly at first, and pull back if you sense that she notices something. You have been doing this for a long time, I am certain it will not be a problem.

Maverion gave her a look of, 'what are you getting us into?' With a shake of his head, he finally acquiesced.

Before doing anything, though, he got the message from Valerith. Too much of a coincidence to be common thieves. It must be the other guests trying to get the book. Describe to me what is happening. If the guards are successful, don't interfere. If they need help, let the guards know you're on their side and try to capture those intruders. Tell them Empress Rimoru sent you to help or something.

He then slowly focused on reading Rimoru's mind.

-Understood. So far, the guards are firing at the intruders with crossbows. The intruders are using some sort of magic to fly, but have not yet returned fire.-
Valerith rose even higher into the air, ready to swoop down upon Minos and Harlin.

"If I had known you were going to be double-agenting, then I wouldn't have done it that way, I'd have only targeted Beau, but it looked like you had turned traitor." Lorathin replied, "And why do you want to see me drunk?"

Harlin sensed the figure hovering above, and drew his blades. He was not such easy prey as this "hunter" imagined.

"Ookaayyy..." Ar'mai said. "And so we are going to let him do it?"

Cadeyrn lost track of the vampire.

He wasn't after anyone I cared about, no sense in making him jumpn through a bunch of hoops just to make sure he's safe. If anything he'll rid us of some of the less desirable characters.

He walked inside and slid on his clean black metal armor piece by piece. Slowly he stepped outside with his giant sword propped over his shoulder. He stood at a clean 6,7 in his armor and his blade was bigger than that. It was difficult fro him to navigate through small areas, but in open areas he was unstoppable.

He wondered where Rimoru was so he decided to pull out his contact stone that she had given him. Activating it he stared into the deivce: "Hey boss, we got a vampyre among us, can you tell me where you are so I can make sure you're safe?"

"Yep, or at least I do." Lorathin commented

"Hey! Relthor! You jerk!" She yelled at him, laughing. She jumped out of the pool and pushed him in. "There! However, my vengance will never be complete!" Karasu whined as she pulled out the wet, soggy feather.

"You did that on purpose to avoid tickle torture! Well, I can come up with a few things as substitutes, do not worry about that!" She giggled.

Karasu jumped off the side of the pool and did a triple layout flip with three turns and dove in. She was able to do this due to her bizarre shinobi training.

It was only after, that she realized that the bikini she was wearing was not made for diving. The bottom went down to her knees, and the top fell completely off her ample bosom and was hanging by the bottom strings.

"Oh shit! This is not a suit for diving... you better not laugh Relthor!" Karasu warned him, chuckling at how silly she must look.

Relthor was smiling as he swam closer to Karasu. "I'm not laughing," he said before roaring with laughter. He threw his arms around Karasu, while keeping his legs kicking so they would float. He kissed her up her chest ending at her lips.

"I'm glad that suit isn't made for diving..." he laughed.

"Now we're even...we both have nothing on," he said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Azrael! I'm shocked with you! Letting the gnome kill Rimoru, your girlfriend?!" Kalzog mocked.

"I don't know...if we thwart the little gnome, we may be able to gain Rimoru's trust. However, Rimoru herself is not such a great leader, from what I understand."

Mebbiwik led Koryl to a little room on the bottom floor. Actually, it was quite large, however, bookshelves lined the walls, filled with thousands of huge volumes. On the floor sat several piles of books, blueprints and several mechanical devices.

"Don't touch anything," the gnome snapped as he walked over to a desk, sitting atop a pile of encyclopedias and pushing the books on his desk onto the floor.

"Let's see here...Where did you find this?" he asked as he took hold of a pair of glasses that made his eyes look much bigger.

"I guess this is not so bad." Karasu gave Relthor a sly seductive grin and kissed him passionately. "I only hope we do not have an audience." She giggled.

They continued to kiss, slowly and passionately. Karasu began to moan and breathe hard. She was aching for Relthor again. Both were exploring each other's bodies with their hands as they kissed each other all over, Karasu moaning extensively. They melted into each other, not being able to get any closer than they were.

"You are so beautiful," Relthor gasped as he let his hands run down the curves of Karasu's body.

"If we have an audience...let them watch...as long as I have you," he laughed before kissing her. "You know...I was never this passionate...about another...I think there's...magic involved in this place..." he gasped in between kisses.

"And you of course...the most beautiful creature I have...laid eyes on."

Rimoru felt the stone activate around her neck as Cadeyrn's voice broke through. She picked it up and looked into it, putting her index finger over her lips for everyone to quiet down.

"Cadey, are you sure you've seen a vampire?" Rimoru asked before giving Rothargot a look as if asking Who else are you not telling me about.

Rothargot shrugged as they walked to the Library entrance.

"Cadey, my sweet, I am touring with others. Do not worry, I will be safe," she replied with a smile.

"Relthor, I swear you'll flatter me to death!" Karasu gasped between kisses...

"The most beautiful you have ever laid eyes on... does that include my... uh... leviathon form?" She teased him as they covered each other with kisses... "I want you so badly." Karasu whispered in his ear, breathing hard.

"Including you're dragon form," Relthor gasped, half chuckling as he took in more air.

The two lovebirds (or love dragons) had an erotic time, giving each other a passion and lust....

Relthor swam onto the shore, Karasu in tow and smiled at her. "My love...I have to say, I never tried under water..." he laughed as he draped his arms over her, kissing her again.

"You have to be the best lover I've had...and my most loved," he whispered to her, wiping some strands of wet hair from her face.

Koryl looked about the room, impressed by the scholarly clutter.

"I found it in an abandoned tower, out in the wilderness. If you've got a map that covers the right area, I can point out to you about where it was."

"Mmmm... underwater is nice is it not?" Karasu gave him a devilish smile. "You are also the best lover I have ever had, and the most loved, and soon we will have a son!" She grinned at him as she put her bikini back on.

"I wish we could go and fly, but I think we might be noticed. It would not be a problem for you, but for my anonymity, it would." She said, wishing they could hit the skies.

"I am still concerned about those people with Rimmy. She apologized and swore to change, etc., but I think she lied to me about who those people are." Karasu looked at Relthor with a serious face. "There is a good chance they are the people trying to get the book for Valtrox, you know. She has no allegiance to anyone but herself, and she was engaged to Inzi, which is revolting in itself. She usually chooses good looking men! Anyway, I think she is giving them the book. I really do. She just looked like she was lying." Karasu said.

"Not much we can do if she does at this point. We do not know where the library is. It is likely hidden, as is everything else around here." She sighed.

"You misunderstand Kalzog. I meant that I would prevent the gnasty gnome from doing in the rambunctious Rimoru." Lorathin replied

"Oh...big words," Kalzog replied with a small grin. "Well, what are we going to do? I can squash the little guy, but Rimoru will hate us for killing her advisor..."

"And if we don't kill him, he'll just tell Rimoru we attempted it."

Relthor recalled the strange group, especially the strange elf.

"That elf seemed...different. Not counting his Fashion sense," laughed Relthor. "His eyes were red...the Irises were. I have never seen someone like that..."

"Rimoru...she may be taking them to the library, but for an unknown reason...She may think they are just going in there for one of the ancient texts rather then a book of power...We should talk this over with the others, my love. Plan out these details..."

"You scavengers...never looking for the finer details," came an annoying sigh from the gnome. "You found this in Iskan, I presume?"

Mebbiwik hopped off his tower of books and went to a corner where thousands of rolled posters stood. He pulled out a couple, looked at them, and rolled them back up.

Finally he pulled out a rather large poster, and brought it to the center of his room, kicking away any blueprint or mechanical device in his way. He unfolded it and set it down. "Here's Iskan."

"Why not either tell her first, or we could just lock the slimy toad up." He commented

"I don't care...Rimoru may not believe the gnome is trying to assassinate her if he's been her advisor for a while," Kalzog replied.

"Then we'll just have to deal with him, before he gets a chance to try and deal with her." Lorathin said, "Or get him to confess somehow."

"Oh...I can get him to confess," Kalzog smiled wide, revealing his dagger-like teeth, as he cracked his knuckles.

"Red eyes, claws, fangs, levitation; yeah I'm pretty sure it was a vampire. I'm going to pass Marlene's room to make sure she's safe and then I'll be guarding outside your door. He had werewolf blood on him so he's been here for a while." Cadeyrn replied opening Marlene's door and tossing in his crossbow. "I'll be standing outside your the rest of the night, if anything happens just holler."

He shoved the stone back into his pocket.

You can protect yourself huh? Then why'd you hire me? Everyone always thinks they can protect themselves until they are force to realize they cannot.

"That'd be under duress, not valid." Lorathin commented

"Oh? How else would we get the information outta him?" growled Kalzog pacing around, obvious that he wants to get straight to the action.

"Threaten, but not actually carry throught." Lorathin replied

"Oh, I wasn't gonna kill em...maybe take off a leg or arm...or even some fingers..." Kalzog laughed.

"OK Relthor, why do you not go upstairs and get dressed. You could wear a dress and look better than that elf!" Karasu started cracking up! "I am going to see who I can find. Preferably Cadey or Lorathin." Karasu kissed Relthor and they went their separate ways.

Damned labyrinth!

It must have been her lucky day, as she was only down her second hallway, still wearing the bikini, she realized a bit embarrassed, when she saw Cadey standing outside a door.

"Cadey... I trust you enjoyed your bath?" Karasu smiled briefly. "There is something going on here and you must keep it quiet. It is very important. I believe Rimmy has lied to Relthor and me." She continued. "We were walking down the hall, and she and some of the guests she refused to let us meet previously were coming the other way. They all looked a bit uncomfortable, and I have known Rimmy long enough to know when she is being untruthful.

"Cadey, we asked where they were going... she hesitated and then said they were going to tour the city. It was obvious to me she was lying." Karasu took a deep breath. "Cadey, Relthor and I believe she was taking them to the library. I believe they are Valtrox's people.

"We could not very well follow them, but it was a motley group to say the least and they all looked as if they were trying to conceal their identity. I am quite sure Rimmy is taking them to the book, however we will never find the library on our own. This place is a labyrinth with doors she can create and spells around openings. I never trusted Inzi to begin with, and I still do not.

"I do think Rimmy knows exactly who they are and who they work for. She has no alliances other than to herself, after all." Karasu remarked. "Remember, she was engaged to Inzi.

"Cadey, Relthor and I do not trust her to be honest even with you." She said sadly.

"Is Marlene in there?" Karasu asked. "I could guard her while you..." then she looked at herself and realized she was nearly naked. She blushed a bit. "Never mind. I am not dressed for it." She looked away. "If you can wait ten minutes, I can be back in battle gear and we can try to figure something out. I have jutsu power that allows me to walk straight up the outside of the building to my balcony and can get in that way to change." She intoned.

"Relthor is on his way up to change right now. I believe it vital to say nothing of any of this to anyone Cadey. You may endanger us all.

"This is insane. Relthor would like you to keep quiet about all of this to Rimoru. We also do not know who else is with the V-Man."

Karasu finished her speech. She was freezing by now.

"Will you wait for me here?" She asked him.

"Break maybe, remove ..." Lorathin commented

Relthor walked up to his room and got changed, smiling as he wrapped himself under his wings, creating the golden robe he's been wearing as an elf.

"Fine...I can break...won't guarentee a remove though," laughed Kalzog.

"Don't you mean you won't guarantee not to remove?" Lorathin asked

"Eh?" Kalzog growled as he was found guzzling down another casket of beer.

"Just a gramatical poking." Lorathin commented with a chuckle.

Kalzog tossed the casket aside and burped loudly. "Not bad...Now what's this about a poking?"

Several guards were talking to each other while they were patroling the halls. Suddenly, they saw a beautiful woman with barely any clothes on standing in plane view. Considering they were two lonely men, who took up the guard job in hopes of striking it big with Rimoru, they immediately walked up to Karasu.

"Hey, Ma'am," smiled one of the guards, a young human, most likely in his mid 20's. "What's a beautiful lady such as yourself doing out here?"

The other guard was walking around Karasu, scanning every inch of her body, while covering it up by acting as though he were only looking down the hall.

"Nothing Kalzog, now why don't we go find that gnome." Lorathin commented

"Sure...I'm itching for a fight...I mean a good talking to," Kalzog chuckled.

"Lead on then." He replied with a smile and shake of the head.

"Me? You're the one who's been here more than I have! You've even slept with her! I cannot tell which way is which!" replied Kalzog, somewhat startled at Lorathin's response.

Karasu looked at the guards. "Have you seen anything... suspicious... around here recently?" She asked them while waiting for Cadey to give her his opinion.

"Or," she walked up to one of them seductively and traced his face with her finger, oh how Rimmy!, could you please direct me to the library? I got separated from my group. Rimmy was taking us there, and I looked away, and then they were gone." Karasu said with sexy, puppy dog eyes.

"Use that ogre nose to follow the gnome scent." Lorathin replied

ooc: Will be gone for a while again.

"I-I-I'm sorry ma'am...we can't get you into the Library...however...we do know of some strange guests," replied the guard as he closed the gap between Karasu and himself, licking his lips as he desired to sleep with the half-naked beauty.

"Ogre nose, eh?" Kalzog smiled. "Fine..." He began to walk up the stairway in search of the gnome...

Cadeyrn saw Karasu coming out of the corner of his eye and smiled. "About time I saw a friendly face, I've been standing out here for hours without any trace of anyone. Ah the bath, probably the best thing that happened to me since Beau's death." He said appreciating his lovely company.

Relthor, I truely envy you.

"I suspected the boss was up to something mischeivous, but even still, she is my master right now and only Relthor's command can supercede hers." He sad somberly putting a hand on her shoulder. "Valtrox? Sounds like an STD."

He pulled back his hand as his mind search for meaning in that name, it was so familiar resting on the tip of his tongue.

"Marlene's room is down the hall, if you could guard her while Relthor himself gives me the orders then I'll find this crew and sort things out. Violently if need be. Tell Relthor I'll be waiting right here." He said smiling as he dreamt of another glorious fight.

Rimoru, I cannot tell if you're a fool or a mastermind. I want to see your expression when you see that the Dragon is my true master. I will apologize, but you won't have it. You'll get angry and side with the bad crowd, and Relthor and I will have to fight you. I hope it doesn't end up that way. You've been the only boss kind to me.

Karasu looked seductively at the guard... "and do you know who these guests are?"

The guard was startled by the large warrior suddenly talking, his attentions had been so focused on the stunning woman that he hadn't noticed him, and conveniantly missed his potentially suspicious speech.

In an attempt to recover some pride he stated; "They are emissaries from the Cult of Valtrox. I can't tell you much about them, i've tried to avoid them personally. Undead and giant demonic looing figures arn't my idea of fun."

Unsure of whether he was revealing things he shouldn't be, he decided to try changing the subject.

"What would be fun though, is if you allowed me and my friend here to show you something special, very few people who come to the palace are shown everything, but i can guarantee it would be more interesting than the library."

I knew it... demons and undead from the V-Man!!! I must tell Relthor and Cadey!!!

"Oh? And what is it you would like to show me?" Karasu asked, hoping it would be something informative.

"Have you ever heard of a "Shredder"?" Asked the guard, trying to make them sound as mysterious as possible. "They are quite amazing inventions, they almost guarantee the safety of the palace, not a lot would be able to get through them in a hurry."

It occured to the second guard that not everyone may be interested in the warlike machines. He hurriedly said; "Of course, if you would rather see something more peaceful, there are several gardens and strange animals that have been collected by Rimoru that we could show you."

Lorathin chuckled and followed the ogre.

"If it will help, I can sketch some of what I saw there." Koryl said, while examining the map. "I enjoy few things more than exploring old ruins, and I've taken care to learn the skills I need to describe what I find."

Finally, he pointed at a spot near one border, well away from any sign of inhabitation. His finger tip circled a small section, hovering slightly above the map surface.
"There! The tower was right in this area."

Valerith gave Harlin a slow smile, this time intending to draw attention to his fangs. He examined the man's weapons carefully, looking for holy symbols or any other sign that they were a true threat, capable of causing the vampire more than an inconvenience.

"It sounds very interesting. I assume it is a machine for shredding people?" Karasu guessed.

"I would very much like to see these machines; however, I must speak to my friend down there, and then run and change into some clothes. I am freezing! I assume you can wait ten minutes? That is all it will take. I will be right back." Karasu smiled seductively.

She walked up to Cadey. "Cadey, one of the guards just told me that Rimoru's other guests are Valtrox's demons! I knew it. I am also going to see a secret part of the castle called the "Shredders", which I assume are for shredding people. I hope I will be safe. I will be. You stay here as you said you would and wait for Relthor. I will tell him to meet you here." She informed Cadey. "And let me know if the guards do anything strange, or they say anything strange... like whacking me. I am going to change and arm myself. This is hardly what I would wear to see the supposedly dreaded shredders. I hope I do not have to change... I will have Relthor explain that to you." Karasu smiled. "Please keep an eye on those guards."

Karasu turned around and winked at the guards. "I will be back shortly!" She yelled to them. She turned the corner and went out the first window she saw and walked up to her balcony and into her room.

"Relthor! I was right! I got a guard to tell me that Rimoru's other guests were Valtrox's demons!" Karasu said excitedly. She gave him a kiss.

"The two guards want to show me the "Shredder" room, which I assume is for shredding humans. I thought I better change. I will be on my guard." She told Relthor as she changed into her kimono with all her battle gear covered by her cape. "It is a part of the castle no one sees... actually I do not think anyone ever gets out." Karasu explained her suspicions.

"Relthor, one more thing... Cadey will not do anything without your explicit orders, even if I tell him you told me to tell him. I told him of my suspicions and then of the confirmation. He is downstairs guarding Marlene's room and I believe may still trust Rimoru. He must not, but you must tell him. Also, please tell him I am also a dragon so that he will take orders from me as well. Running up to get you every time something has to be done will be tedious. Inform him that no one is to know. You can tell him I am the Black and Gold Dragon, as he has seen me in his battles, and I fried many of his enemies around the castle, as well as rescuing Marlene while we were in the desert."

Karasu made it clear that he was to make sure Cadey told no one. She gave Relthor Cadey's location.

"I think it is important that he be wary of Rimoru... she seems to be on the side of Valtrox's demons... it seems she was bringing them to the library. I knew she was lying."

Karasu kissed Relthor passionately, and said, "I guess I am off to see the secret Shredder." She grinned. If worse came to worse, she could turn dragon, of course that would destroy the whole place. Blades could not penetrate her hide, and just her sheer size would crush everything. This was a last resort. She did not trust the guards; however, perhaps she could make them think that if she came out of this OK, she would sleep with both of them. Karasu laughed to herself at the thought.

"Make sure to get to Cadey right away, my love!" Karasu yelled over her shoulder, as she walked to the balcony. She continued walking down the side of the castle and looked carefully in the window she exited to make sure no one was there, and then she jumped into the palace.

Karasu made her way down to see the guards and Cadey.

"Cadey, Relthor is on his way. I trust you know what the Shredder is, and I have a good idea what it is. Relthor has something to tell you as well as what I told you. You cannot trust Rimmy anymore or tell her any of this! These guards may intend to kill me, since they told me of the other guests and Rimmy would have their hides... or put them through the Shredder, however, I am not too concerned. I informed Relthor of everything the guards told me as well, so both of you know, aside from me.

"What Relthor has to tell you must be kept secret at all costs, and he will tell you so." Karasu smiled at Cadey.

"Sorry for not letting you get in a word edgewise, but I want to get this done. I trust I may have to fight my way out of the Shredder room, however, perhaps if I give them the 'wrong impression', they will let me back out." Karasu winked at Cadey. "I will see you later." She smiled and walked to the guards.

“Hello again you two!” Karasu said in an especially sexy, seductive voice. “I am ready to go, but I have a great idea.” She told the guards.

“How about if after we see the Shredder, we go to my room, have some wine, and a little fun?” She whispered seductively in their ears.

Karasu rubbed her breasts against each of them and kissed them both lightly on the lips. When she backed away, she gave them both sexy bedroom eyes. I hope this will get me out of the Shredder room without a fight. They seem so damned horny. I hope it is enough.

“By the way… I will tell no one of this room you are to show me. I am more interested in the… activities afterward.” With each guard on one side of her, she rubbed their backs, and then a bit lower. She really did not want to fight or transform!

The large warrior frowned when Karasu mentioned she was going off alone without him or Relthor. Assassins are not designed for head on combat and here she was willing to take on demons. The runes inscribed on his blade would weaken the undead and werewolves, but demons were beasts of another nature.

"Listen Karasu, I'll take your word on it, but I'm not letting you engage demons alone. I understand you're a skilled assassin, but this type of monster is beyond what you've seen before. Beau is a puppy compared to Demons." He said sternly gripping his large blade.

Personally Cadeyrn only followed Karasu mostly so he could take these demons on himself. The silver runes on his sword might protect him to some extent.

He kept a good distance behind Karasu and the guards keeping a close on eye on them. One false move and they'd be a stain on the wall, however the cooridor didn't allow much movement for his massive weapon.

"But Relthor needs to tell you something! Alright, I will tell you right now and I insist you tell no one. The only one who knows is Relthor.

"Cadey, I am also a dragon. Probably the biggest you have ever seen, and you have seen me... when you were fighting Beau. I also rescued Marlene in the desert and fried all the lycans around the palace. Tell no one." Karasu stressed this.

"Relthor is expecting you to be at Marlene's door and is coming down to speak to you any moment, however if you feel the need to come with me, stay far behind."

Karasu took a deep breath and left with the demons, putting on her sultry act.

Cadeyrn began laughing as the final piece to the puzzle, well the whole puzzle actually, fell into place.

"You may be a dragon, and the biggest one around, but you are not invincible and demons will find ways to destroy you. I will go back to the door and wait for Relthor, but don't say I didn't warn you." He growled trying to convince Karasu to stop being so hasty.

So Karasu, Rimoru's best friend, is my master too. This is only going to complicate things a lot more. My blood line cannot be denied it is my duty to serve the dragons over all others.

Karasu whispered to Cadey, "I can always sit on them first!"

Relthor was shocked. "Demons..." he whispered. He had been around long enough to encounter many different kinds, however Valtrox's were more notable as one of the deadliest...not to mention cruel...

The Ageless One shivered as he slowly walked downstairs. He had known a good many friends who fought against demons of Valtrox...all slain except for one. The first Ageless One created. Kandazostradz, the most powerful of the Ageless ones.

Relthor walked down the stairs over to where Cadeyrn was standing.

"Cadeyrn, I have important news to tell you...especially about Karasu...it must be private..."

Kalzog walked up the stairs and wandered about the lobby, occasionally stopping to whiff the air.

The large ogre wandered down a hall or two, avoiding the one with the most guards, and even went outside.

Finally, he walked into a large room. "Ahh...I smell it..." he smirked as he walked to a door on the opposite side.

"Never overestimate your own abilities while underestimating your foes'." He replied walking away.

Through the labyrinth of hallways he had made his way back to Marlene's room where he sat waiting on Relthor. In no time he had shown up.

"Don't bother, I already know about her." He said smiling. "We have to hurry before she puts herself in a situation that gets her killed. She believes she can take these demons by herself."

"They are Rimmy's guards, Cadey... they aren't from Valtrox." she told him. "I have dealt with some demons, however... well they offered to show me other hidden places that were not war related, but I thought this would be the most helpful to all of us.

"Consider me to be doing this for the group, not myself... I do not know what will happen... if I will end up in the Shredder." Karasu shuddered realizing that this was a possibility. "I will be careful."

"Good, now please don't get overeager." Lorathin commented

As Karasu was talking to Cadeyrn, the guards were anxiously awaiting.

"She looked at me most...she loves me, don't you see the glimmer in her eyes?" one guard said to the other.

"Pfft. You? Not even an ogre would kiss you," replied the other.

"And you think you have a better chance?" asked the first one.

"Of course, I'm the one that talked to her...Didn't you see how closer she got to me than you? She wanted to take her clothes off right then and there and party with me all night long!"

"You dolt! She told me she hated your guts and would be mine for ever!"

"Idiot! She never said that!"

The guards began to growl and grunt at each other, about to explode into a fist fight.

Relthor laughed at them and turned to Karasu. "My love, perhaps you should follow them before they kill each other..." laughed Relthor as he closed in to kiss Karasu, before stopping. "It pains me to not be able to kiss you, Karasu...I would blow your cover."

"I know you won't be put to the shredder...you're too beautiful and those guards too foolish. I trust in your abilities, my love," smiled Relthor.

Karasu asked the guards, "How far is the Shredder room? Where is it from here?" Seductivly she added, "The sooner I see it and we leave, the sooner we can get to the fun." She grinned slyly.

"Since when have I been overeager?" laughed Kalzog as he opened the door, revealing another kitchen. "Ahh!! Dinner!"

He immediately went to the larder and began picking out different meats.

"Oh my...yes, do sketch please, it would greatly aid in the deciphering," replied the gnome as he scanned the area and jotted down some notes on a piece of paper. He tore out another piece of paper and handed it to Koryl before continuing to jot down notes.

"Threaten, but not actually carry throught." Lorathin replied

"Threatening, hurting, or anything in which he have power over him is considered to be duress," Ar'mai commented before following Kalzog.

"Well... why couldn't we just... make him disappear...?"

"You were suppose to be looking for the gnome, not more food." Lorathin commented as he saw wher Kalzog had led them.

"Oh you men are useless..." Ar'mai said jokingly.

"Come on..."

Koryl took another pen (or pencil, if one is available) and set to work at once. The wanderer's long, agile fingers moved swiftly and with skill, though he was certainly no master artist. He sketched first the outside of the tower - its roof was long gone, but the shape of what remained was distincitve. After this he drew a doorway, its stone frame worked with intricate carvings, then continued showing other details of the structure.

"So what's the plan?" Cadeyrn interjected between the two dragons.

"Well, I am off with the guards." Karasu grinned.

"I am ready to go now. Where is it though... is it a long walk?" Karasu asked?

The warrior shrugged turning his glance towards Relthor.

"Oh? The gnome? You should've said so!" grinned the ogre as he walked across the hall to a doorway. "He's in there, but he's currently talking with someone..."

"Hmmm...this is complicated..." muttered the gnome as he looked at the drawing and the map. "Were there any skeletons at all amongst the ruins?"

Relthor smiled at Cadeyrn. "I have other things to tell you, once the guards and Karasu have left. Regarding Rimoru," replied Relthor, immediately losing the smile.

"Do you know where the gnome is Ar'mai?" He asked with a chuckle at her comment about the uselessness of men.

"Guys? Are we going?" Karasu asked, as they did not seem to be going anywhere.

Judging by Relthor's expression the human knew he wasn't going to be happy. He geniunely liked Rimoru for as many faults as she had, he was willing to stay by her side for as long as the dragons willed it. No one ever took care of him like her outside of Opprimus.

My master...

He hung his head trying to decipher what was running through his mind.

"None that I saw." Koryl replied. "As far as I could tell, the place had just been abandoned. It was very strange. I didn't reach the upper levels of the tower, though, because the structure didn't seem stable. I don't know what might have been present at the top."

"Of course Ma'am!" replied the two guards at once. They led her down the hall, turning some corners until finally coming up a set of stairs. "Up here, my lady."

They walked up to a room full of portraits. "Now which one is it..." one of the guards said.

"It's the happy clown, ain't it?"

"No! It's the picture of Rimoru..."

"Where? I don't see it?"

As soon as they were out of view, Relthor looked at Cadeyrn.

"I'm sorry Cadeyrn, but we may not be able to trust Rimoru anymore. She has led others to the Library and they may be able to find the book...if they do, we're all doomed. We may need to break in ourselves, and Rimoru may have us imprisoned or killed..."

"You're asking me to betray my master and close friend...I don't know if I can do that." He replied torn between the two sides.

Dragons are not perfect, they are in fact as fallable as humans. The one you slain deserved it. As a matter of fact, most ageless creatures deserve nothing short of execution.

Cadeyrn's hatred towards the gods and most ageless creatures was coming into play as he remembered his father's philosophy.

"People are plotting against Rimoru, I am aware of that." The human began drawing a wicked smile. "You are telling me to turn on her, I know that. So what is to stop me as her bodyguard from killing the both of you for treason and conspiracy? You have brough no evidence and are so vehement on me switching sides."

He stepped back from the dragons with a hand on his hilt.

"Blood line be damned." He growled.

"Interesting...this appears to be the ancient culture of the Iskanis, a large tribe called the Mishwa 'Ine. One of the strongest, but were wiped out in a long war against another Iskani tribe and the bird warriors past our border.

"What makes me believe so, is that that is the general area of several battles they were in. And, as we put the pieces together, they worshipped Garon, the ancient god of sight...Which would explain the mechanism being a type of scope...object...thing..." replied the gnome as he ran back to his desk, reading through his encyclopedia, as well as scanning his notes.

Karasu smiled at the guards arguing about the entrance... inside she was laughing. These guards were certainly entertaining.

"Wow! I thought it would just be a normal door. Now that I think about it, Rimmy does not have a lot of normal doors around here! She never did. Even when we were kids!" Karasu giggled. She wanted to make sure they knew she was Rimoru's friend, to give herself more of a chance of not being killed.

Koryl listened with obvious interest.
"Hm... That does make sense."
