My danger sense lit off like fireworks and I spun around, igniting my silver blade and bringing it down on the vampire, searing flesh and bone as he was decapitated. The head rolled away, though the teeth was still unnerving.

Replacing my glowrod onto my belt, I waited for more. "Just the first vampire. There'll be more. Damn, how I wish Hiei and Kurama were here."

The vampire then exploded into dust.

"Sorry 'bout that," Eamonn grinned.

Beyond the door was what looked to be a street, most of it however appeared to be fused into the bedrock. Strangely the streetlights that were visible were on. It was just light enough for them to see so Eamonn switched off his torch. There appeared to be no other vampires in the immediate area.

"Well, looks like they fled the moment I used my saber." I bragged. "Wimps."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 02:35
Eamonn rolled his eyes. "Well Kurt programmed this and knowing him we'll come across a whole load of them and we're fucked," he replied.

He then set off down the street, dodging bits of bedrock that jutted out everywhere.

"I stand corrected." I said, watching our backs.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 02:43
"By the way I must warn you, I have no idea where we're going," Eamonn admitted. "I wonder if Kurt put any of the group into tthis scenario."

Eamonn looked down the way they were headed. He was sure that there was something moving down there. With his lightsaber ready, the young boy quietly made his way over.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 02:47
"Probably not." I said. "Oh well, we'll just go along, killing baddies along the way, kick Dracula's ass in the end."

I saw movement in the shadows, to the right. "Hmm. I think we're being surrounded."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 02:52
"Fucking typical Kurt," Eamonn muttered.

"Mmm I love little boys," Came a voice from beyond the shadows.

Eamonn held up his lightsaber. "You are going to be sorry," he replied.

A vampire stepped out from the shadows and Eamonn attacked.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:00
"Mmm. Young blood--" Another vampire said, before I sliced him in half.

"Shut it, batty!" I said, then twirled my saber in my hand and unleashed a cross-strike, killing two vampires in the double-stroke. "How are ya doing, buddy?"

A vampire got a foot in his teeth, then a silver blade stabbed in it's heart.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 03:07
"Getting covered in non-real vamp dust," Eamonn grinned as he decapitated another vampire. "Their numbers are thinning out, but I know Kurt too well to know this'll end this easy."

The vampires were indeed thinning out and there didn't seem to be any more joining in.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:09
"Well, what would he put in here? A vampire Dark Jedi?" I asked, as the last vampire I killed turned to dust.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 03:13
"Fuck Dan, I hope he doesn't ask you for ideas," Eamonn joked, another vampire burst into dust right in his face. He was sure he hadn't killed that one.

"Children should not be down here," came a more human voice.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:17
"Children? I don't see any children here." I said. "Only Jedi."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 03:28
"Jedi? You are still too young," the voice replied.

Eamonn hacked down another vampire. "I'm old enough to look after myself," he replied.

"Eamonn?" the voice then said. "What are you doing down here."

Eamonn didn't reply, he instead fought off an attack from another vampire.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:32
Telekinesis works well, blasting vampires around like leaves. But still, I was a whirling dervish, slicing vampires that got near.

"So, who are you, anyway?" I asked the guy.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 03:34
"I'm Salazar," came the reply. "Who the fuck are you?"

Remember he is only A.I. Eamonn told Daniel.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:38
Right. Still looks real. You take the right, I'll go left. I sent back. "Daniel Masaki, Jedi Knight." Then I grinned. "And your worst nightmare."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 03:43
"Oh right, from the academy on Yavin IV, Kurt mentioned you," Salazar replied.

I don't think he's a vampire, he's a friend of Kurt's, Eamonn warned. In the real world he wasn't here because his olds sent him to a boarding school on Techon to keep him away from trouble.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:46
Ah, thanks. I sent. "So what brings you here?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 03:48
As the dust settled, a boy of around sixteen stepped forward. "Been staying down here with Kurt's group," he said. "You?"
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 03:53
I reholstered my lightsaber. "Just along for the ride, being Eamonn's friend and all. Someone had to watch his back, after all." I smirked.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 04:00
Salazar looked at Eamonn and rolled his eyes. "As if," he remarked. "Eams here has eyes in the back of his head."

Eamonn laughed. So life-like it's scary, Eamonn told Daniel. "So where are the others?"

"Down in HQ, wanna come?" he then asked.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 04:02
"Yeah, sure." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 04:09
"Right this way," Salazar said and stepped into the shadows.

A moment later, there was light and a doorways opened. The light shone on Salazar made him look like only the front half of him was there. He motioned for them to step inside, Eamonn said nothing as he did so. Inside it was a dingy hallway lit by magically burning torches which meant they would never go out.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 22:03
"Uh, aren't we a little far away from Hogwarts?" I quipped.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 22:08
Salazar looked over his shoulder. "Whats with the strange questions?" he asked.

Eamonn rolled his eyes.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 22:26
IC:
Their humor's so dry, they make Tatooine look wet. I thought to myself, when they didn't seem to get the joke...though this hallway did seem like that school of witchcraft and wizardry in Scotland, Earth.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 22:44
Salazar lead them through another door. As they walked through it, they felt a jolt, but the world around them seemed to stay still. Even Salazar took no notice of it.

Guess we're in hyperspace now, Eamonn told Daniel.

They were now stood in what appeared to be a living room. There was a couch in the centre of the room facing a large television screen. The room itself however was rather bleak.

"I know it's not much, but it's home," Salazar told them.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 23:14
Yeah. I sat on the couch. "So...we chat?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 23:34
Salazar smiled. "And what about?" he asked looking over at Daniel.

"How about where Kurt and the others are," Eamonn suggested, he didn't bother sitting down like Daniel did and just stood there arms folding, leaning against one of the walls.

"Out in the lab," he said, sitting down on the couch next to Daniel. "Doors been locked all day, must be something big going on in there."

Since we have an hour, you want to bail and find something else to do then hang around with Salazar? Eamonn asked Daniel.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 23:47
I wonder...what are they doing? I asked him. Maybe...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
19-11-2004, 23:56
Might just be waiting for Kurt before doing something Eamonn mentioned.

Salazar looked first at Eamonn and then at Daniel. "Are you two doing that forcey jedi talk thing?" he asked.
CoreWorlds
19-11-2004, 23:58
He's good. I made myself look innocent. "What makes you say that?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 00:08
He's an A.I. Eamonn pointed out. Probably some bug letting him pick up what we're thinking or something.

"Well you keep looking at each other and you did mention you were Jedi," Salazar said, a grin then creapt across his face. "Well it's eaither that or you're lusting after each other."
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 00:17
I don't think so...stretch your feelings towards him...

"That's sick!" I made a face. "We're just good friends, that's all."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 00:25
Eamonn burst out laughing. Typical Salazar to hit on anything that moves he told Daniel.

Salazar put his hand on Daniels shoulder. "It's aright, we don't judge anyone here unless they're on Azazel's side," he told him, still grinning.

Eamonn was still laughing.
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 00:26
I had to grin, too. He really pulled a fast one on us.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 00:29
I think we should go find something to do down here, Eamonn then said. We did come here to kick vamp arse remember.
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 00:31
All right, but it's 20 minutes already. I checked my watch. "Thank you, Salazar, for your hospitality, but we have some bat hunting to do."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 00:34
"I'll come with you," Salazar offered. "You'll need someone who knows the area, Eams sure doesn't and he has a shite sense of direction."
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 01:32
"Fine." I said. "Just watch your back. They come out of nowhere."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 01:44
Salazar stood up and picked up a gun from the coffee-table in front of the couch. "I know how to deal with vampires," he replied. "Oak tipped bullets do the trick, with a little silver to help. Shoot the buggers right in their cold dead heart."

Eamonn rolled his eyes and headed for the exit.
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 01:58
"Hehe. This is going to be fun!" I snicker to myself as I follow them to the exit.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 02:04
Eamonn stepped back out into the street and looked around. "I sense no vampires in the immediate area," he told the other two.
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 02:17
"Me neither. But be wary." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 02:24
"Yeah," Eamonn agreed, they carried on the way that they had been heading before being ambushed. It was clear that way now but no doubt more vampires would be on their way. "Should be coming up on something soon, I can just feel it."
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 02:39
"I sense them too." I said, readying my lightsaber...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 02:46
"Alright more vamp killing action," came Salazar's voice from behind them.

On a ledge above them a vampire watched.

Don't look up Eamonn warned the other two. They'll ambush us the moment we do.

"Shit Eams," Salazar said. "That was freaky."
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 02:48
I looked ahead, but kept my senses on full alert. I could feel that vampire above, watching, waiting...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
20-11-2004, 02:54
"There they are," Eamonn said after a few more steps, having seen movement in the shadows.

Some of the vampire's knew their cover was blown and came running for them. Eamonn readied his lightsaber while Salazar quickly turned around and shot the vampire who had been watching them. He burst into dust and Salazar turned his attention to the others.
CoreWorlds
20-11-2004, 23:23
I cut through the vampire ranks, razing them like weeds. With each fatal slice, they exploded into dust, giving me a fine coat of grey ash. As I fought them, I wondered about something. "You know, with every vampire horde, there's always a Head Vampire, like Dracula. I wonder where's his lair?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2004, 00:24
"Not anywhere here," Salazar told him.

Eamonn cut down the last of the vampires. "How much longer do we have?" he asked Daniel.
CoreWorlds
21-11-2004, 01:14
I checked the chronometer. "30 minutes. Should be enough to get through this game."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2004, 01:16
"Hopefully," Eamonn agreed. "If not we can always come back."

"The vamps always do," Salazar said behind them.
CoreWorlds
21-11-2004, 01:20
"All right. I suppose the best way to deal with this is to find the biggest concentration of bloodsuckers and get to the center of that concentration." I said. "Likely we'll be able to deal with the Head Vamp there."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2004, 01:23
"Tried that," Salazar said. "No one knows where the prince of vampires lair is. Problem is we came down here to get away from Azazel's cronies rather then go vamp hunting."
CoreWorlds
21-11-2004, 01:42
I cocked my saber arm, and threw my lightsaber, boomerang fashion. I managed to hit several incoming vampires and slice them in half before calling my saber back.

"If we can't go to him, then we need to get him out." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2004, 03:56
Salazar laughed. "It takes alot to get his attention," he warned. "Even then he'll probably send his henchmen and not show himself."
CoreWorlds
21-11-2004, 22:32
"Well, we don't have much time here..." I checked again. 20 minutes. I reached out with the Force as far as I can, trying to seek out the darkest spot of dark side I could find. If that's not the Head Vampire's lair, I don't know what is.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2004, 22:34
"Like I said we can always come back, there's bound to be plenty of time to do that," Eamonn replied. "There's too many dark patches."
CoreWorlds
21-11-2004, 23:25
"Yeah, i guess." I said. "Let's go back out now."

OOC:
I think it's time we head to the destination now. fast forward, please.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
21-11-2004, 23:32
The ship jumped out of hyperspace and the viewscreen just showed space. Kurt stood up and eyed the viewscreen. "How far from the station are we?" he asked Wes.

"Not far, couple of minutes at this speed," he told him.

Kurt nodded, "I'm going to get the others and head down to the shuttle," he said and left the Pel'tac.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 03:09
As we reverted, I was getting ready to head into the space station. I had everything but the vac-suit, which I'm sure Kurt would provide...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 03:34
"Suits are in the back of the shuttle," Wes said as he joined them on board the shuttle. "I wouldn't suit up just yet though, we may not actually go on board the station. First we are just going to get a better look."

"I do hope they are comfortable," Captain Darkholme said, climing aboard.

Kurt glared at him.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 03:37
"All right." I said as I inventoried the suits after I got on. Wouldn't do to get a hole in one of them. They all look ok. "We ready to go?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 03:45
Kurt and Wes settled down at the front.

"All systems are go," Wes said. "Docking bay is clear and the doors are opening, we are clear to go."

The shuttle lifted off and gently left the ship. A few minutes of flying and the shuttle neared the abandoned space station. It was completely derelict and had obviously been untouched since 5CN left.

"Looks like the romours of it being a pirates hideout were untrue," Kurt commented.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 03:48
I shrugged. "Is there anything we should be concerned about? Any holes or whatever?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 03:54
"Not entirely sure what to expect," Wes admitted. "So be prepared for anything."

"Going in for a closer look," Kurt said as the shuttle moved closer to the space station. "Looks alright to me."

Wes nodded. "Put your suits on," he then said.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 03:57
I went to the back, and put my suit on. It was very flexible, like an extra pair of clothes, but it would keep me warm and breathing in the space station. My lightsaber hung on a D-ring on the waist for easy use. Lastly, I put on the helmet and made sure it's airtight.

"Ready!" I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 04:06
Kurt and Wes safely landed the shuttle inside the space station before putting the suits on. The prince turned to face Captain Darkholme and glared at him, "Try and bail on us and that suit you are wearing will be torn ever so slightly, but it will be enough to kill you," he warned.

The doors to the shuttle opened and they stepped out onto the space station. An eiree silence followed them as they stepped into the darkness of a docking bay.

"Creepy," Kurt muttered.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 04:08
"Yeah." I had to agree. "Well, let's see what we have in here..."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 04:16
"If you need more light, just switch the torch on your helmet on," Wes mentioned.

Kurt walked ahead a bit and found the door that led inside hanging ajar. He stepped out into a long hallway. "So which way?" he asked the others.

Eamonn walked out behind him and looked around. He just shrugged his shoulders.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 04:20
OOC: Just keep going with the story, and don't worry about me, lol.

IC:
"Let's go ahead, and see what's what." I said, walking ahead.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 04:27
"This way," Wes said pointing south.

The group then heading off that way. Kurt and Wes walking off ahead with the other three behind. Eamonn was nervous about being here, but since he was into horror movies it felt to him like he was in one.

"What exactly are we looking for?" he asked.

"Not exactly sure," Wes admitted, he looked over his shoulder at the pirate. "Though knowing the Norns I suspect the clue will be something very out of place."
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 04:28
"Just expect the unexpected." I chuckled.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 04:37
"A chicken suit would probably be very out of place," Eamonn joked while Kurt tried forcing open a door.

It was jammed and since there was no electricity in the station, there was no way to open it except through force. Kurt had an idea what to do.

"Step away this may get messy," he warned.

The others stepped back as he suggested. A ball of white light appeared in Kurt's hand and he threw it at the door, which exploded on impact. A force wave knocked them all to the ground.

"Ah sorry," Kurt apologised, dusting himself off.

The space station creaked and groaned.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 04:43
"Ow. Telekinesis would have done just as well." I said, gotten embarassingly knocked on my butt.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 04:53
"Pff," Kurt remarked, rolling his eyes. "I was just trying some of my powers I've hardly used."

"Maybe it would be better if you didn't," Wes pointed out as the space station groaned once more.

"Ok," he promised, stepping in through the wrecked door.

They now found themselves in what appeared to be a bar. It actually looked as if people had evacuated in the middle of having drinks as there were still drinks in the tables and in some cases plates with mould on them.

"I think I'm glad I can't smell anything," Eamonn remarked.

"I think we should search the bar before venturing further," Wes suggested.

OOC: Gone to bed, its late and I can't think straight :D
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 04:57
There was something funny about the way that the meals were just left on the tables, as if there was some kind of incident that caused the crew to come on alert or something and neglect their meals.

"You go on and try for the bar." I said, sitting down to ponder on this. "See what you can find there."

I couldn't quite place what's wrong with this picture...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 16:14
"You can tell hes not Draconian," Captain Darkholme muttered under his breath.

Kurt took no notice of him as he walked off to the other side of the bar. "Wasn't there a war between the 5CN colonies?" he asked Wes.

"Something like that," he replied. "This one was abandoned due to lack of resources, or so I'm told. My guess is they went off to battle and didn't come back."

Kurt looked around futher. "I don't see anything that could really be considered out of place here," he said.

"I agree," Wes said as the space station creaked and groaned once more.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 17:19
Hmm... Crew don't just get up and leave their food behind. If there was a rush to get to battle stations, there would be some knocking about, drinks spilling and all that. Here, it's just too neat for that. It's like they just got up and left calmly. And there was no cleaning up afterwards. That's the sticking point. The stuff should have been cleaned up, whether by recruits or droids or the crew themselves. It's like...they all just disappeared!

Narrowing my eyes, I know of one thing that could cause this type of disappearing act. Teleportation. I have a hunch that it was involved somehow, whether it was 'beaming' technology or some form of magic, like the Force or chakra.

I decided to go to the others and talk to them of my hunches.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 17:36
"If they were in a hurry, they'd have knocked things over," Captain Darkholme pointed out. "Take it from someone who regularly goes into drunken taverns."

"So what happened, they just vanished?" Eamonn replied.

"Yeah some kind of deathray," Kurt said rolling his eyes.

The pirate shook his head and went to scratch the stubble on his chin before realising that he couldn't. "And you would know that that didn't happen because?" he asked, raising an eyebrow and smirking.

"Because I'm trying to resist the urge to tear your suit," Kurt growled.

Wes noticed Daniel approaching, "What have you come up with?" he asked.
CoreWorlds
22-11-2004, 18:59
"Teleportation." I smirked. "Like Kurt's main ability but something different at the same time. There are several races and nations that use teleportation to get around. The United Federation of Planets is one of them. The Asgard race is another one. It's the only probable reason for the sudden disappearances."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
22-11-2004, 23:22
"It's probably classified imformation in some top secret 5CN file or something," Kurt muttered. "They know what happened but they'll never tell anyone."

"And the alien Asgard would never mass teleport anyone like that," Wes pointed out. "I don't think this is our clue that we are looking for."
CoreWorlds
23-11-2004, 00:10
I shrugged. "At least it's something."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 00:22
"Thing is it's not out of place on an abandoned space station really," Captain Darkholme said.

There was a yell from outside the bar and at that moment they noticed Eamonn wasn't there.

"Oh shit," Kurt swore and ran over to another open door just as the young Jedi ran back inside.

"Mutant dog," he yelled, fear evident in his eyes. "Just like in the sim."
CoreWorlds
23-11-2004, 00:27
"Crap!" I swore. "How did the dogs get mutated anyway?"

I let loose a blast of telekinesis at the dog.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 00:35
"That Danny would be our out of place clue," Kurt said. "Just had to be a fucking mutated dog didn't it."

Daniels telekinisis knocked the dog at the closest wall. That however wasn't enough to keep it down and the now angry mutated dog leapt at Daniel. Before it could do so, shots were fired and the dog fell to the floor in a lifeless lump.

"A real pirate never leaves home without his pistol," Captain Darkholme said.
CoreWorlds
23-11-2004, 00:54
"Could have taken him out anytime." I said. "Anyway, now that we have a clue, what next?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 01:00
"Right another bang against the wall and it'll jump at you even more pissed off," Captain Darkholme replied, rolling his eyes.

"You keep your trap shut," Kurt growled at the pirate, before turning to Daniel. "That dog just tells us where we go next, good job we did that practice sim based on Hmiel because that is where the Norns are telling us to go."

Eamonn shivered at the thought of going there.
CoreWorlds
23-11-2004, 01:11
"Then...to Hmiel we go!" I pointed out a window dramatically. "To the shuttle!"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 01:18
Captain Darkholme rolled his eyes. Gee why do I always end up with the wierdo's, he thought to himself.

"I'll be glad to get off this," Kurt muttered as they headed back to the shuttle.

Soon the shuttle was safely back in the docking bay and they were preparing to go into hyperspace. The journey to Hmiel would probably take about the same time as it had to get to the space station. Back in the room he was sharing with Daniel, Eamonn sat grim-faced on his bed.
CoreWorlds
23-11-2004, 01:27
"You ok?" I asked, sitting down on the other bed.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 01:34
Eamonn shook his head. "I don't like the idea of being on Hmiel," he admitted. "The sim was bad enogh, but this is going to be real." He looked up at Daniel, the same fear could be seen in his eyes. "That dog on the space station was nothing like what they were on the sim, it was alot worse."
CoreWorlds
23-11-2004, 01:55
"Probably should have used lightning, then." I said. "Don't let your fear rule you, for you'll be paralyzed and unable to make the decisions you need to stay alive. I can only cover your butt for only so long before you'd have to fight on your own sometimes. You understand?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 02:00
"I know," Eamonn nodded. "The only thing I could think of when I saw it there was to run. I wanted the ability to just teleport myself away from it." He then lay down on his bed. "I really don't want to go there, I curse the Norns for doing this.

There was a slight jolt and a blue flash as the ship entered hyperspace.

"You'll have to conquer your fear sooner or later. You cannot run from them." I said.

23-11-2004, 02:46
Eamonn sighed. "I know," he agreed. "Maybe part of it was just that I didn't expect to step outside that door and have a mutated dog from Hmiel run at me." He then put his hands behind his head. "Still reluctant to go there, I just don't know what we meant to be looking for there, its a big planet to search if they expect us to look for something out of place."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
23-11-2004, 23:14
Kurt stood on the Pel'tac watching the view screen. Hmiel DN lay below the ship as a mass contamination zone. The planet itself was much bigger then he had been expecting, he had only previously seen it in holographic models and from the surface on the holodeck.

"Any ideas what we are looking for?" the prince asked.

"I have no idea, there is too much area to cover to just look for something out of place," Wes replied. "I am afraid we are going to have to do some research on this one."

"Still reluctant to go there, I just don't know what we meant to be looking for there, its a big planet to search if they expect us to look for something out of place."
"We'll just have to trust our instincts on this one." I shrugged. "Hmm. I think we're there now."
Draconis Nightcrawlis

"They're not heading for the docking bay," Eamonn said. "I think we should go to the Pel'tac."

"Let's go, then." I said, heading out of the room.
Draconis Nightcrawlis

Eamonn nodded. They headed off for the Pel'tac, when they arrived they found Kurt and Wes in deep conversation. Quatre was listening to the convo sat in the captains chair. The prince looked up at they arrived.

"This may take some time," he warned.

Eamonn looked up at the viewscreen. "I said it would be big," he remarked.

"You sure did." I said. "Now, where would be a good starting point...?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 00:01
"Well there are the naquadah mines," Wes said. "But no one could survive them no matter what kind of suit they were wearing."

"Except me," Kurt said glumly.
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 00:25
"Anywhere else we can survive for more than a few minutes?" I asked dryly.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 00:29
"Only half a mile away," Wes said. "Going within that radius, the radiation becomes intesnse and pretty fatal."

"Going to the mines are not an option," Kurt told them."

24-11-2004, 00:48
"Agreed." I said. "So where should we start?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 00:59
"Still working that out," Wes admitted, he had a cold expression upon his face. "We knew this was not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination. So far all have to go by on is that mutated dog we found on the space station."

"And Fred hasn't found any clues on it in the lab yet," Quatre mentioned from behind them.

"Quite," Wes said. "Unfortunately the Norns are very cryptic in their clues."

Kurt looked over at Daniel. "What do you know about the Norns?" he asked.
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 01:32
"Not much. About as much as you guys do." I said. "Although I do know they tend to drop in clues when you least expect them, like the mutated dog a while ago. Also, they like to speak backwards, like Yoda does."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 01:42
"So far they haven't left any text clues, doubt they'd leave a taped message behind," Kurt remarked.

"A library," Eamonn suddenly thought.

The others looked at him as if to say he was talking rubbish. Eamonn didn't like the looks he was getting.

"Well you're talking about speaking backwards and texts, a library would make sense," he protested, folding his arms.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 02:13
"Actually Eamonn you might just be onto something," Wes said after a brief silence.

"I might?" the young boy asked, shocked that he might just be right.

Wes nodded. "The Grande Library in Ulvter would be the best place to start," he said. "Hopefully it hasn't been fully looted by the stalkers yet. Those suits in the shuttle will be need as well."

They headed off down to the docking bay where they met up with Captain Darkholme, much to the princes disgust.
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 02:19
"Still want to strangle that Darkholme, eh?" I said to Kurt. "I'd help you, but I'd look like Darth Vader if I did."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 02:29
"Not if you don't use the force," Kurt smirked, getting aboard the shuttle. "Nothing wrong with a good strangulation once in a while."

"I am still within earshot," the pirate protested.

"Unfortunately," Kurt said, sitting at the back with Quatre.

His usual place up front next to Wes had been taken by a brown haired man Daniel wouldn't recognise, but Eamonn had met on many occasions.

"Jus' say de word and de pirate, he go boom," the man said in a distinct cajun accent.
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 02:49
"Don't have to be able to use the Force to go dark..." I said. Then I met Cajun Guy. "Who are you?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 02:56
Kurt just shrugged, "Just the same as if you don't let off steam once in a while," he remarked.

The cajun man turned around and looked at Daniel, his eyes were black with red pupils. "I am Kurt's uncle, dey call me Remy," he said with a smirk. "You must be his Jedi friend Daniel, oui?"
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 03:03
"Yes I am...sir." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 03:08
"Den I be pleased t'meet you," Remy said.

Be careful with him, he likes blowing things up, Eamonn warned Daniel.

"Alright everyone belt up and get ready," Wes said. "The atmosphere can be rough."
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 03:42
I suited up again, and took a seat, clicking the seat belt.

You said he likes to blow things up? He should hook up with Master Miles, then. I mentally grinned.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 03:51
That would be a bad idea, Eamonn said back, trying not to laugh.

Wes lifted the shuttle off and it was soon in space floating over the planet. Wes searched for a place to land, somewhere that they could hide the shuttle. It would not be good for them if it was damaged beyond repair or even stolen by other stalkers. Wes looked over the shuttles computer and soon found a place in Ulvter itself. A few minutes later they landed in a train depot amongst long abandoned carriages.

"Everyone suited up and ready?" Wes asked.
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 03:58
"Yep!" I gave a thumb's up.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 04:07
"Good," Wes said as the others showed that they were ready. He held up a small geiger counter. "Keep together, this geiger counter will tell us if we are in danger of being exposed to too much radiation."

Kurt raised his hand, "If the library is too high for you lot I guess that means I'd have to go in alone," he said, his face looking glum again.

"Most likely Kurt," Wes then told him. "Don't worry, we'll be able to keep in contact with you."

Kurt nodded. "Shame Jedi's aren't immune either," he remarked.
CoreWorlds
24-11-2004, 04:26
"Dad or the Masters might be able to handle it, though not forever." I said. "How do you handle the radiation, Kurt?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
24-11-2004, 15:41
"Not sure really, it's part of the power that was handed down to me," Kurt explained. "All I know is a couple of months ago I was on a shuttle with a couple of people from our group when radiation came from a fault in the engines. They died of radiation poisoning while I survived and when Fred did tests on me in the lab they found a minute amount of radiation in me that was decreasing rapidly."

Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 01:29
"Hey I give the orders out here," Kurt reminded him.

The others just looked at him and he rolled his eyes.

"What he said," the prince growled.

The others moved out and headed out between the carriages.

"This reminds me of the sim," Eamonn remarked.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 01:31
"Yeah, it does." I said. "Good thing we trained in them, eh?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 01:41
"Yeah it was," Eamonn agreed.

Somewhere around them came the sound of a carriage creaking on its axles. Kurt raised his head and looked around.

"Coming from up ahead," he told the others. "I sense company, keep your wits about you guys."
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 01:44
I nodded, wondering who it could be.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 01:52
Kurt sniffed, "All I can smell is this suit, fuck this," he said taking the hood off. He then looked down at the geiger counter. "Safe count, for now anyway." He sniffed the air again. "Can't smell anything other then the old carriages."

He lead the others up to the end of a line of carriages before stopping and raising his arm. The others stopped behind him. Kurt peered around the carriages, he could see a stalker standing with his back to them.

"What do you think?" he whispered to the others.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 02:00
"Make him sing." I suggested, whispering.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 02:08
"Well the problem with that is there could be others within ear shot," Kurt replied. "And in that case we're better off marching right up to him."

"Or we could march right up to you instead," came a voice from the top of one of the carriage.

Looking up they saw two stalkers with staff weapons pointed at them.

"Oh shit," Eamonn swore.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 02:27
I had my hands up, and yet, slowly concentrated raw Force energies in them.

"Uh, hello. We were just looking for a restaurant and--" I suddenly unleashed Force Lightning at the foes. "Break, NOW!"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 02:35
One of the stalkers fired, taking aim at Daniel. Evidently he knew what Daniel had been thinking. Kurt teleported him away in the nick of time, save for a slightly singed suit.

"We got us a Jedi," one of the men yelled.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 02:42
"Crap! I thought that'd work!" I groaned, and ignited my lightsaber to block the energy bolts.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 02:48
"Looks like we may be dealing with at least one Dark Jedi," Kurt said.

Up ahead, the carriage that the two stalkers were stood on began glowing. Kurt's eyes widened when he realised what was up.

"Everybody run," he yelled.

As they ran away from the glowing carriage, the two stalkers realised they should start running too, and so they did. Moments later, the carriage exploded, sending debris raining down on them.

"Shit Remy," Kurt growled, picking himself up from the ground.

Those two stalkers were no where to be seen.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 02:53
"So who blew up the carriage?" I asked, brushing off the dirt.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 02:55
"My uncle," Kurt growled. "We definitely have a Dark Jedi problem."

"De train, she go boom an' de stalkers go running," Remy grinned at them, he dusted down his trench coat as he stood up.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 03:04
I chuckled. "Oh yeah. The guy who could give Master Miles a run for his money."

Then I sobered. "Yeah. We probably do have a Dark Jedi problem."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 03:09
"Shit I hope hes not fucking Sith," Kurt sighed, he scanned the immediate area. "They're gone, probably for back up so we should head on."

"Did good wit' de boom," Remy smirked and walked off cheerfully whistling to himself.

"We're not far from the library now," Wes then told them.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 03:13
"Then we must move quickly." I said, hopping on a rock. "Let's press on."

I hopped off, taking point and watching for pop-up foes.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 03:20
Kurt nodded and ran off ahead of the others to check the coast was clear. They headed up some steps and found themselves out on a street. Rusted abandoned cars were everywhere, it was very much like a sceane out of a post-apocalyptic film. Directly up the street was the library.

"It looks way too easy," Captain Darkholme mentioned.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 03:27
"Yup. Be ready." I said. I went a bit ahead, then suddenly sensed something. I ignited my lightsaber with a sudden move, moving ahead in a mid-guard...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 03:34
Kurt teleported himself up to the library. So far everything was quiet. The doors to the library was evidently been smashed open, possibly down to looting, most likely during the evacuation as there had been more importaint things for the soldiers to do then to worry about the library being looted. He sniffed the air, someone had been there very recently. As the others caught up with him, he looked around.

"All clear," he said.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 03:40
"Yeah, but I'm still feeling a presence." I said. "It's not far..."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 03:50
Kurt nodded. "There will always be presences," he said. "Most of the time you won't come across them."

"So shall we go in then," Captain Darkholme said.

A grin crossed Quatre's face and he ran up and pushed the pirate inside. "You find out if its safe first," he said as the pirate crashed through the remains of the doors.

"Now thats what I love about you Quatre," Kurt said with a smile and the headed inside.

Inside, the ground floor of the library was a complete mess, debris was littered everywhere. The bookcases were empty and most had been toppled over. Kurt feared that the other floors would be the same, almost completely devoid of books.

"I think we should split up," he said.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 04:20
"Very well." I said. "We call if we find anything."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 15:40
"Right, Quatre, Eamonn, Daniel and I will take the first floor," Kurt told them. "The rest of you take the second, any objections?"

The others shook their heads.
CoreWorlds
29-11-2004, 16:00
"Ok..." I started for one of the doors on the first floor. As I entered, I spotted...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
29-11-2004, 23:24
...A mutated dog was busy gnawing on a corpse. So far it hadn't noticed them. Kurt raised his arm to hold the other three back.

"Want to do the honours Daniel?" he asked.
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 00:30
"Sure." I advanced on the mutated dog, lightsaber ready...
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 00:36
The mutated dog raised it's head from the corpse and growled. It wasn't like a normal dogs growl, it was high pitched and shattered the nearby windows. The others put their hands over their ears.

"Shit Daniel, kill it," Eamonn yelled.
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 00:39
Wincing at the screech-growl, I attacked the dog, slashing forward.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 00:43
The mutated dog leapt at Daniel, jaws open wide and the growling had stopped. His lightsaber sliced through the dogs belly, letting it's innards escape. The dog gave a yelp as it lifelessly hit Daniel.
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 00:50
I tossed the dead dog away. "Nothing to it. Now let's see what we have here."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 00:59
Stepping further into the room, they saw row upon row of bookcases and most of the books were still there.

"Well this is good," Kurt said, before looking over at the corpse that the dog had been feeding on. It was of a lone stalker who had obviously been caught unaware by the mutated dog. "However we need to know what the Norns wish us to find here, suggestions anyone?"

"Maybe a book on this galaxy or maybe on one of it's systems," Quatre suggested.

Kurt nodded. "Then we look for books on the M66 galaxy," he said.
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 01:16
"All right. Let's get started, then." I said. I started searching for books on galaxies and the like, searching indices for any reference to 'Norn' or 'M66 galaxy' or anything related.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 01:22
Kurt and Quatre disappeared off to another area as Eamonn began wandering through the aisles, reading the titles of the books. He kept an eye out for any sign of danger.

"Found anything yet Dan?" he asked.
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 01:51
"Nope. Not yet. You?" I turned to yet another book.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 01:59
"Nope," Eamonn said, shaking his head. "I just found the Shakespeare section though." The young boy let out a sigh. "For all we know it might not be on this floor, or worse was on the ground floor."
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 02:29
"Shakespeare?" I raised an eyebrow. "All the way out here? That's odd..."

I leafed through another book. "Hey, I think I found something!"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 02:34
"Why?" Eamonn asked. "At my old school I was in a Ma... I mean that play of his you can't mention because it's bad luck. So what you found?"
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 02:49
"Why?" Eamonn asked. "At my old school I was in a Ma... I mean that play of his you can't mention because it's bad luck. So what you found?"
"Macbeth. Still love that witch scene." I said. "Anyway, M66 is a large spiral galaxy about 25 million light years from here, in the closer edge of the Virgo Supercluster. The Norns used to travel freely from here to there and back, but something happened, and they started keeping to themselves over there. No one knows what, though."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 03:07
"Then that book isn't from here, this is the M66 galaxy," Eamonn pointed out.
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 03:43
"Yeah. It's something, at least." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 15:36
"Guess the library collected books from every possible part of the Virgo Supercluster," Eamonn said. "Keep that book, it might offer a clue, Wes would probably spot it better."
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 15:44
"All right. Let's see if the others have found something."

OOC: Speed it up, please. I don't have forever, you know.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 17:20
"Kurt and Quatre are busy, I'm picking up that Wes has got something," Eamonn said.

He walked down the aisles and headed for the door. He didn't bother waiting for the others and once he'd arrived at the staircase he saw the others were already heading down from the second floor.

"Got it," Remy grinned.

"So what is it that we have?" Eamonn asked.

"The next clue," Wes said, clutching a book in his hand. "Points to a planet in a nearby system, said to be the lair of the Norns themselves."
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 17:24
"Oh, good." I rubbed my hands. "Finally, we're getting somewhere. What's it say?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 17:31
Wes opened up the book. "Tells of a mansion built on the planet, built be a lone Jedi as punishment by the Norns."

"Punishment, why?" Eamonn then asked.

Wes flicked through the book and shook his head. "I have not found any mention as to why yet," he admitted. "I would think that it is time to return to the ship and there I can study the book in greater detail."
CoreWorlds
30-11-2004, 17:36
I nodded. "Then we go to that mansion. Let's go."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
30-11-2004, 17:44
Wes nodded before looking around. "Think we're missing a couple here," he said.

"They're coming," Eamonn said.

Eventually Kurt and Quatre showed up. The prince promptly hit Eamonn around the back of the head and said, "There are certain times you stay out of my head, got it?"

Eamonn rubbed the back of his head. "Well we were about to leave, next time I won't bother," he replied.

"Stop bickering," Wes told them and turned to go down to the ground floor.
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 02:10
I hid a smile at the bickering prince and apprentice and headed down with the others.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 02:19
Outside they were waiting, the stalkers from before had called on their clan to help them. To them, the body of a dead Jedi could fetch a high price from those who wanted one for reasons unknown. After the encounter at the train depot, the word of a boy Jedi in the area had alerted others who wanted the money paid for his body. The clan and those few lone stalkers lay in wait for the group to emerge.

"Shit," Kurt swore. "We have company."
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 03:07
"Yeah, I sense them too." I said. "Can't they just leave us in peace?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 03:13
Kurt smirked. "From some of the thoughts I've picked up they're after the money that some people would pay them for a Jedi body and you showed those two stalkers you are one," the prince said. "Better get ready, this could get very messy."

"What's the plan?" Eamonn asked, walking up behind Kurt.

"Looks like we fight," he said.
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 03:18
"Ugh. No way they're getting me, alive or dead." I said, gripping my lightsaber.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 03:26
"Don't worry, we're leaving no one to them," Kurt said, instead of his usual choice of weapon he showed that he had an old AK-47 with him. "Well maybe a certain pirate, but no one else."

Captain Darkholme sneered at him, but the prince took no notice. Kurt instead crouched around the side of the doors and peered out. He was greeted by the sound of gunfire to which he fired back. Remy said nothing and ran upstairs.
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 03:55
"Ok, what now?" I asked.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 16:07
Kurt continued to fire at the stalkers. Glowing objects randomly hit the ground near the stalkers and exploded.

"We are going to have to find a way to get out of here," Wes said. "Daniel, you and quatre head out back see if they have that covered or not."
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 19:56
"All right." I said. "Quatre, cover me."

I headed to the back of the library, and opened the other door and took a peek out. "Looks clear..."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 20:38
Quatre got his weapon ready and creapt up behind Daniel. "Looks it," he agreed. "Have you scanned the area?"
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 20:43
"Yeah. It's clear. We'll need to act quickly, though...get the others."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 20:52
"Good, at least we have the back exit clear," Quare said. "Wait here and be careful."

The blond boy then went back to get the others. Daniel could still hear the gunfire going off around the front of the library. Eamonn was first to appear after a short while, the others arrived after him, except for Kurt and his uncle.

"Come on lets go," Quatre said, heading for the back exit.
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 20:57
As I waited for the others, I felt a presence coming from the sides. Hurry, guys!
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 21:05
"They're coming," Eamonn said as he and the other creapt out into the alley behind the library. He held up his lightsaber and prepared himself just in case. Down at the end of the alley, the sight of an old carriage meant they were heading toward the train depot.

Quatre headed up behind Daniel. "Kurt and Remy are distracting the stalkers up front, when we're safe Kurt will teleport Remy and himself away," he said.
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 21:46
"All right. Let's go." I said, heading through the alley.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 21:56
There were a couple of loud explosions heard, most likely from Remy and his liking of making things explode. Up ahead Eamonn stopped walking and held up him arm for the others to stop.

You feel that Daniel? he asked. I sense a couple of stalkers waiting for us.
CoreWorlds
01-12-2004, 22:04
Yep. I do. Should we charge 'em or do something more elaborate? I asked wryly.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
01-12-2004, 22:08
Eamonn crouched down and thought for a moment. They are very close to the wall at the end of the alley, if we are quiet the perhaps we can surprised them, he suggested.
CoreWorlds
02-12-2004, 11:32
Ok. Go. I'll follow your lead.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
02-12-2004, 15:24
There is one stood on the left side the other is on the right, I'll go left you go right, Eamonn told him, quietly tiptoeing down the alley. Eventually they made it near to the end, still without being seen and looked at Daniel. Three, two, one NOW!

The young boy leapt out taking the stalker by suprise and attacked.
CoreWorlds
02-12-2004, 21:18
My lightsaber was out before the stalker could react, and I cut him down with ease. Out of the corner of my eye, I wondered how Eamonn was doing.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
02-12-2004, 21:28
The stalker had no time to react as Eamonn cut him down. Scanning the area he found there weren't any others, evidently they hadn't really expected them to go out the back exit. Clear, he told the others.

"That was almost too easy," he remarked.
CoreWorlds
02-12-2004, 21:33
"Well, let's not wear out our welcome then." I said.

Eamonn nodded. "Guess we're lucky to be near the train depot," he said, pointing to all the abandoned carriages. "Just think a few years ago all this was in use as the colony was going for those who wanted to escape the overpopulation of DN, now look at it."

The others had already begun making their way back to the shuttle.

"Yeah, a ghost planet." I said. "With trouble."

We headed towards the shuttle, watching for enemies.

Walking down between the carriages, the shuttle soon came into view.

"It's more then a ghost planet, it's still very much alive," Eamonn disagreed. "Some of my science lessons at my old school were on how the accident effected the eco-structure, there too much life here to consider it a ghost planet."

There was a bamf noise up ahead, Kurt and Remy had finally shown up.

"Alright guys, time to head back to the ship," Wes said, before disappearing into the shuttle.

"It's a ghost planet, because there's not much of a civilization." I replied. "Nonsentient lifeforms don't count."

"Whatever," Eamonn shrugged climbing aboard. "I think of ghost planets as one like mars that may once have had life on them, well before it was colonised again anyway."

Wes and Remy settled down at the front and began preparing for take off.

Once back aboard the ship, Wes quickly returned to his room to reserch the book they had taken from the library. Kurt and Quatre disappearing together and Eamonn headed up to the dining hall to grab something to eat. The rest of the crew headed for the Pel'tac to plot the course for the Norns planet.

As for me? I decided to head into my room and take a nap.

It was a few hours later when Eamonn head up on the Pel'tac to see what was going on. When he entered, he saw Kurt, Quatre and Wes all stood just in front of the view screen. Crossing the room, he saw that they were above a planet.

"Is that the Norns planet?" he asked.

"Yes it is," Wes nodded. "We're actually picking up a life sign."

"A lifesign?" the young Jedi asked.

"Could that Jedi really still be there?" Kurt asked.

"Could just be, it was not all that long ago that the mansion was finished," Wes explained.

"Time to head down to the planet," Wes said.

"Eamonn go get Daniel, we'll meet you at the shuttle," Kurt told him.

"Ok," the young Jedi said and left the Pel'tac.

Returning to the room he shared with Daniel, he found the young Jedi asleep and walked over to his bed. Gently he shook Daniel.

"Dan wake up, time to go," he said.

"Huh? Oh. Allright." I said, getting up and grabbing my lightsaber. I then followed Eamonn to the shuttle.

Together they headed for the docking bay. Once there, they saw that a few others were climbing aboard a second shuttle. A few were people that neither Eamonn nor Daniel had seen on the ship before, including Lady Rasputin and her husband. Eamonn was sure they had stayed behind in Wundagore DN. Climbing aboard the shuttle, the young Jedi took an empty seat next to Thor. Looking to the front of the shuttle, there loooked to be no Wes this time. Kurt and Quatre occupied the pilot seats. This time the shuttle was more crowded and there was one empty seat left on the other side of Thor.

"Better grab it fast," the God said, looking up at Daniel.
CoreWorlds

I silently groaned, and sat in the seat, waiting for the shuttle to take off.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 01:06
Thor smirked at the young Jedi's uneasyness. Kurt looked across and waited for the other shuttle to be ready before the docking bay doors opened and out into space he flew the shuttle.

"The mansion is down in that area," Quatre pointed out to Kurt. "Wes said that we could land in the grounds."

"Alright guys, prepare for a landing," Kurt said.

He lowered the shuttle down through the atmosphere and soon a magnificent mansion with large gardens came into view.

"Shit, that looks fucking awesome," Kurt said in wonder.

Minutes later, the shuttle was safely landed in the gardens in front of a large rectangular pond. Kurt stepped out of the shuttle and waited for the other one to land.

"Wow." I said, when we landed and disembarked. "It's much better than the last place!"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 01:47
"No contest really," Eamonn remarked, disembarking directly behind Daniel.

The second shuttle landed and Lady Rasputin was first to disembark. She took a quick look around and said, "We should go in two groups, those aboard my shuttle will search the grounds."

"Good idea," Kurt agreed. "The rest of you follow me."

Kurt's group then followed him up toward the mansion itself.

I followed Kurt, breathing in the fine, fresh, flowery air, a major difference from the putrid stink of the last planet.

04-12-2004, 02:06
As they approached the front doors, they slowly swung open. A shiver went up Eamonn's spine, he'd seen things like this in horror movies. Still the group marched inside, knowing that anything could happen. They found themselves in a large hall facing a grand staircase that lead up to a landing, where that led they would not know without going up there. The hall itself was lavishly furnished, fit for a king in fact.

"This is fucking awesome," Kurt smiled, wishing he could live in such a place once again. "So guys where should we head first?"

"Well let's see...I'll take the foyer." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 03:15
"It would be wise to stick together for the Norns can be sick," Thor warned.

"He's right," Kurt agreed. "Be forewarned that they might try to separate us."

Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 03:21
"Is he really that stupid?" Thor asked.

Kurt shook his head. "Obviously he doesn't believe that it was the Norns who decided his fate that day," he said. "This is their domain, we'll only find them if they want to be found."
CoreWorlds
04-12-2004, 03:41
"Hey, I believe in the Force, and the Force only!" I shot back. "If the Norns are who they say they are, then they're still a part of the Force, making pretty accurate predictions and prophesies, of course, but still part of the Force.."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 03:45
"They control the force when it's in their territory," Thor told him. "They are stronger."

"Ok looks like they've started out on us already," Eamonn observed.

"Would appear you're right Eam," Kurt scowled. "Come on we should search the place."
CoreWorlds
04-12-2004, 04:00
"All right. Let's just search, then." I said, moving through the foyer.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 04:05
"Too be honest I'm not sure what to look for," Kurt admitted.

For a mansion nothing looked out of place, for something that was meant to be the Norns domain, everything was out of place. This was going to take some searching.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 15:46
An old looking man appeared at the front door. They hadn't known he was there until he said, "Ah the MacLeod lan has arrived."

The others stopped what they were doing and looked over at him.

"Who are you?" Quatre asked.

"Since you have come here you should know," the old man replied.

"The Jedi forced by the Norns to build this mansion," Kurt realised.

The old man lowered his head. "Yes I am that unfortunate soul," he said and raised his head to look at them. "Searching for the Norns come at a terrible price."
CoreWorlds
04-12-2004, 17:18

Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 23:25
"Interesting?" the old man asked as he walked over to Daniel. "I sense the force within you child." He looked over at Eamonn, "You too and that is bad, the Norns do not trust Jedi."
CoreWorlds
04-12-2004, 23:33
"Yeah. So I heard." I said. "So how do we get around that distrust?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 23:47
The old man shook his head. "You will never get around that distrust," he told them. He looked at Thor. "They do not even trust the other Gods, especially your father, Thor."

"My father is untrusted by many, he cares not," the God replied.

"I am sure he does," the old man said.

"Cut the bulshit old man," Kurt demanded.

"My name is Caer Forre, a Jedi Master," the old man said. "Perhaps you have heard of me, I was a master at the Exetergrecia Jedi Academy."

"Until it was destroyed by the Goa'uld," Quatre remembered.

"Yes fifty years ago, I was the sole survivor from that attack," Caer said.

04-12-2004, 23:48
"Interesting..." I muttered.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 23:52
"I must leave now," Caer said. "Many chores to be done, many, many more chores. I have eternity to do them and perhaps you will have eternity as well. To die here or never to die at all."

And with that, the old man disappeared.

"Norns mind tricks, had to be," Kurt scowled.
CoreWorlds

"Well, they're gods as you guys say." I said. "Now when are we meeting 'em?"
Draconis Nightcrawlis
04-12-2004, 23:57
"As soon as we find them or they show themselves," Kurt said. "Perhaps we should try the library, what do you say Dan?"
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 00:07
"Again?" I groaned. "We'll at least it'll be better than last time."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 00:12
Kurt smirked to himself. "Well no mutated dogs for one," he said and headed up the staircase. "I'm sure the library is up here somewhere."
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 00:16
"You do have a point there." I chuckled, then opened a door. "Looks like I found the library."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 00:22
"Maybe they do wish us to find them, that seemed easy enough," Kurt said and walked into the library.

It was empty save for bookcases stacked to the ceiling full of books, it actually reminded him of somewhere but wasn't actually sure where from.

"Could be a trap," Quatre pointed out.

"I don't sense any," Eamonn replied.
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 00:33
"Me neither." I said. "Now I wonder what do we have to do now to get the Norns to come..."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 00:44
"I wish I could snap my fingers and make them come," Kurt said, looking at his three digit hand. "But they're stubbon and could make as wait an eternity."

"No they just to know if you are worthy," came a female voice.

Stood where the voice had come from was a beautiful young maiden, she was blond and wore a dress that looked to be from Victorian times. She smiled at them.

"Verdani," Thor said, his eyes glowing.
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 01:05
"Finally." I smiled back, suddenly noticing how beautiful she is. I bowed, suddenly feeling awkward. "So you're a Norn."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 01:12
"Yes I am one third of the Norns dear child," Verdani said and turned to Kurt. "The other two do not wish to meet and so I am here to tell you no. Azazel will be ruler for the forseeable future."

"But..." Kurt began, but the Norn cut him off.

"No Kurt don't make us allow him to rule forever," she warned him.
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 01:14
"Hmm. At least now we know. I'm sorry, Kurt." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 01:21
"I just don't see why my people must suffer under my grandfather," Kurt growled, glaring at Verdani.

"We have spoken Kurt," she replied leaving the room. "You have eternity to think about it, all of you." She turned and left the library. "Enjoy your long, long lives." And disappeared from view.

"At least they didn't kill us," Eamonn said coldly. "I've heard they do that."
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 01:40
"And what did she mean by 'eternity to think about it'?" I asked.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 01:45
"I don't know," Kurt said, shaking his head.

Eamonn's eyes widened in realisation. "Master Forre said we would either die here or never die at all," he said. "I don't think we're gonna leave here alive, they're going to keep us prisoner like he is until we die."
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 01:58
"I don't think so." I said, narrowing my eyes. "Why would they do that? and I'd prefer eternal youth (stop aging at 18 or so) to just growing old forever anyway."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 02:08
"Well Master Forre didn't look any older the he did in the book I read about him in, it's back at the academy if you want to read it," Eamonn shrugged. "Doesn't that mean we're immortal?"

"I would not listen to the Norns," Thor warned. "They can be decietful."

Kurt put his arm around Quatre. "Well I'd be happy to stay youthful for eternity," he smiled.
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 02:21
"I think we can still be killed with other means, like said if I skewered you." I smirked to Eamonn. "But aging won't kill us. At least I hope not."
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 02:25
Eamonn screwed up his face in mock disgust. "I wouldn't want to take the chance," he remarked.

"Come on I guess we should leave," Kurt said. "We have the answer."
CoreWorlds
05-12-2004, 02:27
"All right, then. Let's go." I said.
Draconis Nightcrawlis
05-12-2004, 02:31
Kurt sighed and with the others, they left the library. Soon they were out the front doors and heading back to the shuttle.

"Hope the others are Ok," Kurt mentioned.

It had been a long journey, a somewhat pointless one and he couldn't wait to return to Tortuga DN.
