Hm, well, I'm advancing the thing anyway - we can't dawdle along with one liners and slow action forever. Do you realise how many pages were on already? Action, people, action! Less side-plots, more explanatio of wtf is going on! (a whole lot more explanation ooc, cos we need to be able to decide what our character knows and what they don't.)

OK, Flick now knows somebody got everyone there for a purpose and everyone is in possession of Strange Powers. She knows what her power is.

She doesn't know: who got them all there, what the purpose is, what the others' powers are.

So Techon can still do the Great Revelation re these things, if he turns up.

If not, Flick's sitting there in the canteen staring dazedly at a cup of cold coffee.

Over to you, Resquide/Nation of Fortune. If you make Jenna and Valerie figure out some who and why, they can come bouncing in full of their discovery and Flick can say Llanwerin told her the same (offstage, as it were).

If you want to keep it uncertain, everyone can just say what they know or think must be true and be angry because Llanwerin refused to explain more fully.

Meanwhile whatever's going on with Makie and Alex can keep on developing independently.

But oh boy, am I with you on how long this has gone on. Can we get these troops home by Christmas?

No disappointment, it's actually quite convenient because the people not showing powers could have just not grown into them yet. And it's all vague and stuff about exactly why *we* are chosen as opposed to all the other psychic people, so techon can arrange his save the universe scenario with minimum adjustment. I got the christmas thing, by the way :P

Sorry if my last post gave the impression that Flick is telepathic. It was just me trying to write a conversation without actually putting words into someone else's character's mouth. She was supposedly picking up on the others' facial expressions, body language, etc.

Flick's talent is to realign energy flows and fix them if they're broken, or make new connections if they're too far gone. It works for big things and little things. (She can't raise the dead; the energy has to be there.)

Speaking of raising the dead ... Have a happy morning after the New Year's Eve before.

So Angelica is a sender/receiver of words and Jenna is a receiver/interpreter of emotions, as well as having an instant awareness of where everyone is. Sorry for the lack of creativity. I had to make a long enough post to insure everyone that I was still here in light of my recent inactivity and I just forced myself to write something. It wasn't good and I'll admit it, but now I'm stuck with it.

The communication as such is only going to be useful between Angelica and Sara. I'll explain that further on. Sorry again, I'll try to make up with it by doing something interesting later on.

Well, you're not exactly stuck with it, theres a little old button called edit :P, but if you've got the telepathy thing going, you oughta define it. Can you eavesdrop? We've found out you can transmit, although that bit is kind of pushing on my territory since you're essentially transmitting emotions, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. Can you send words to people other than sara? All the evidence points to it. And it would be pretty useful.
So far if we do have a "some sort of do-vital-task-while-fighting-off-opponents scene" then we seem to be shaping up for Jenna as central coordinator, Angelica for communication, Val to scout, Salazar as a soldier, Flick as a medic/mechanic - can you redirect energy flows in a destructive way as well? - annnd... Noir, what's up with Alex? He gonna have a whole angsty omgwhyhaveinotgotpowerswhenalltheothersdowaaimallinsecure thing? If not, better show some power quick - you've got a kind of framework now, I presume your power will be something that fits in with the rest of them, so check the gaps and see what our "vital taskforce" is missing.

Meanwhile, Techon: what's up with Murdock? Is he the "fearless leader" kinda person? Or is he just gonna be a hostage to t3h 3vil thingy that you're PRESUMABLY cooking up?

I'm guessing Murdoch's the fearless leader and his 'power' will somehow revolve around that.

Btw, Salazar doesn't just blow things up, he moves things with his mind.

I'd have to keep track of all your rps, so if jenna's in one she might have little interludes where she laughs at random in a serious meeting because someone's done something amusing, or whatever. And if I do involve her in he big thing I'm planning for Resquide, which i want to, then that opens all sorts of possibilities!

alright since its been spoiled here is how its ending in a way, everyone gets the deal why they have their powers, then they all get set off to their nations and whatnot, from there you can create your own storylines for your characters and you can post a link in the OOC thread in case we want to pitch in our character or if we just want to read it

have you noticed how increasingly long it has gotten? and how we have gotten to the point of just nailing that they actually have powers? Once they find out why they have powers and what their duty is, they really don't need to be at the school anymore.

It just seemed as if alot of people were enjoying it, thats all

...maybe when they are old enough they can create their own school and teach kids exactly what they were taught.

I will probably entirely forget about Valerie, because the main person I RP with is Cyrus Lanier, and most other Characters I have are made up on the spot.

I won't know what Flick's going to do until I find out what she's done. I swear she's going to finish that Major Work for her HSC that she's got parked in Maritzar's Art Room (my RL is too full of similar UnFinished Objects), but after that ... it would be a bit tame to just go back to being an Australian Uni student. Maybe her stepfather will be so put out that Maritzar hasn't turned her into his idea of a proper step-daughter that he'll jump at any chance to ship her off somewhere else ... wandering artist-sort-of-healer at large ... but first we've got to get through whatever Techon's cooking up.

I think we should wait till Techon gets back, otherwise we won't know what to do. you do have a point, but that thread has already been started, and we could talk about our experiences there. He does say that we all go off and do our own thing, only to meet up later. So this might just be the best way to do it. Because we al have to go off on our own, there would be little or no interaction between the characters, so very little interest in the RP, cause it would be all of us just telling the others what happened, and outr characters would have no Idea what the others are doing, since all or most of us are going to this Bday thing, it would be just as easy to tell the others there, than to start a whole new thread, which would probably be only one post per character.

True, I've actually examined the other thread now :P

However Jenna would've kept in vague contact with people, decreasing slightly with distance, but I imagine at this stage in her powers she'd have felt any major emotional event they had - and she'd be able to experience one persons senses if she concentrated, blocking the others out - and of course the person agrees. That's why I mentioned the thing about the cougar - I'm assuming Val and Jenna kept in touch, and Jenna used the sense-sharing to catch a glimpse of the cougar.

Everyone else should decide on their major events since the Island so we have no inconsistency - assume noone dies there, then, if someone looks like they're about to we'll find a loophole. Say they'll not feel like talking about the actual events straight away, that gives us time to work through the events on the island.

We should all agree on the relationships between them too. Noir, I don't think jenna's kept in contact with Alex much, so maybe they'll have a ittle awkwardness.
