Haraki, do you have AIM? That way we can figure out what everyone is doing.

At the very least, give me an idea where your forces will be going.

At the moment, none of my ground forces have been mobilized, although four million, including 30,000 MEEF and 500,000 marines, are completely ready to move out when needed.

Pyongyang, North Korea

Since the start of the USSNK v. PDRK civil war, the entire PDRK political and even military staff had been issued into the capital's many SOE (state of emergency {I was out of ideas :? }bunkers). Premier Kim Sung was not pleased but at the same time not enfuriated. He stood composed and calm as his closest advisors gave occasional glances as they hurried with a number of letters.

Assistant Foreign Minister Han entered the room and bowed to the Premier before he spoke, "My leader..We have confirmed from our intelligence sources that the Kusan assault was by USSNK MiGs...Our intelligence has also linked Ruhr in the assaults.." Kim looked up, his eyes showing a hint of intrigue and confusion, "Ruhr?..I thought we were at peace terms with that country? What the hell is going on?...And why haven't we heard from Dae for the past few days!" "W-well sir, we have been constantly trying to establish contact with Ruhr's Foreign Ministry to straighten this matter but unfortunately we cannot...And we have lost contact with the ambassador since he first landed at Ruhr..Even the K-CIB is dumbfounded as to why Ruhr would conduct military actions against us." General Hyun sat farthest away from the Premier, himself filled with shame and anger. "So they are basically ignoring us?" "Seems like it sir.." The Premier gave a heavy sigh, a civil war and an international war all in one package..this was a most stressful event indeed, but the people needed him...

"How about the current situation before us.." One of the K-CIB directors and the Minister of Military Intelligence stood from their seats, both having report papers within their hands. The K-CIB director spoke up, "Since the start of the war, the USSNK has bum-rushed us hard. About ten of our major cities..even Pyongyang as we speak, is under heavy fighting." The Minster took his turn to speak, "Because of the covert assaults on our relay facilities, communication between bases has been nearly cut. But we can confirm what Jin's forces have accomplished so far..." The Premier nodded, signifying that he was ready for the harshest of news, "..So far, three airfields have been destroyed, two of which are..were vital to our strategic air deployments and two more under USSNK control..We have lost contact with 7 total military bases, the latest being the Han-Suk Military Base nearby Kusong. We are unsure which are under USSNK control...They have either captured or decimated well over half of our naval port harbors..We have also lost contact with three important research facilities.." The two men sat down, General Hyun suddenly spoke up, what he said creating a series of stirs, hushed voices, and shocked expression amongst most intelligence and research officers, "..What about the HunterKillers?..." "HunterKillers?...." The Premier asked with curiousity, his expression showing the same. The K-CIB director stared at the General, his eyes wide..How could he!?...He thought as he composed himself to speak what he hoped would be kept a secret for a bit longer..He set up a laptop with a projector attached to it, when it was warmed up and ready, he projected the image of the what appeared to be a new ship..

"HunterKiller..is a new.....gunship we had in research and development for 20 years. It is the most state-of-the-art aerocraft project we've been in..far more advanced than our Ks-14 Dragoons.." The director spoke out, averting his gaze from Hyun to the others before continuing, "It is faster than most gunships used in the world and is more armored. It-.." Hyun interrupted the director and continued off, "..It is armored with an approximite of a foot and a half of titanium-steel. And is armed with a front vulcan turret and a bellied mounted, twin vulcan turret.." Hyun was then interrupted this time by one of the military commanders, "General Hyun, if you knew about the existance of such a weapon..why didn't you tell us any of it?.." "..Because it was top secret, only the most trusted within the Central Command could know..which happened to be me and Lt. Commander Bae...Letting this get out would undoubtedly have severe consequences on our trump cards...Now, as I was saying, the HunterKiller is one of the most advanced aerial gunships produced..to answer some of your questions, the reason it is still in development is because we expect 1-2 more years research before we are fully capable of starting mass production...we only hold six complete models, two of which are dubbed 'special makes'.." "...'special makes' General?.." " Our special makes are equipped also equipped with two small scale howitzers within the midsection of the gunship, the rest are only armed with the vulcans..Under your order Premier, we can initiate their activation." The Premier stood still for a moment before nodding his head and speaking..

"..We must do what we can to repel the rebellion..they are our top priority. I give you permission to activate these HunterKillers.." The General nodded his head, giving his thanks before speaking, "We cannot risk them being shot down and exposed to both the USSNK and any other foreign nation...therefore the six will be deployed under the use of the SRA and BlackOps." The K-CIB director nodded his head in agreement, the meeting was dismissed and many those within began to take their leave, some to discuss diplomacy, others about military strategies. General Hyun looked at the 3-d computer image of a HunterKiller, his mind clouded with deep troubles and new strategies...

OOC: Yes, I based the gunship from the T-3 version... And I have three flags that can represent the USSNK. I might plan on using all three, each representing a different part of the USSNK or just one of them, but what do you all think?..Which seems to be the best in your opinion? All please give your piece of mind on this. Here are the flags:

11:34 PM, PORT LUKIN NAVAL BASE

Prime Minister Maximillian Bjorn stood behind a podium sitting upon a stage. Before him were Before 49,896 soldiers, all at attention. "Esteemed members of the Oglethorpian Armed Forces...I address you before you depart for the North Korean waters. You will be fighting for the Oglethorpian ideal of freedom and to remove one more communist threat from the world. Godspeed men, and may the Lord be with each and every one of you."

It would be several hours before all the troops filed into the Wasp-class assault ships, and even longer before they'd join up with the 8 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and 6 Oliver Perry-class frigates to make the 13 day journey to the Yellow Sea.

Meanwhile...

11:45 PM, TRIPOLI HARBOUR NAVAL BASE

"MEN! You're trained Oglethorpian submariners, but you will be entering your first combat situation, the first Oglethorpian submarines to enter into combat. Your mission is simple; to reach the Yellow Sea and pave a way with Tomahawk missiles for your Armed Forces friends on land."

"May god be with all of you, and may you do the silent service proud!" said Defense Minister Sam Hedland before the crews of the ORS Phillip Marovich and ORS Ohiowa, both Ohio-class SSGNs as well as the SSNs ORS Thirteen and Oglethorpe, Oglethorpe-class hunter-killers.

With that said, he turned around and stood before the docks infront of him. 155 men filed into the ORS Phillip Marovich and Ohiowa, it's officers walking on it's bow as final supplies were being loaded in. On board all 4 Oglethorpian submarines the halls were covered in canned foods; room was not enough in storage to keep all of their footstuffs, and so they made a temporary floor throughout the ship.

From Tripoli Harbour Naval Base left 4 Oglethorpian subs to rendevous with the battlegroup at Port Lukin.

Thru all of the confusion at the Kusan base, a number of boats pull up on shore. Nearly 1000 figures rush out and set up a perimeter. Once the area is clear of any patrols, they form into squads and set out towards inland. The SOET have arrived.

10:18 AM, ABOARD THE ORS Thirteen

The SSN Thirteen had been traveling at 31 knots some 150 ft below the water for the past 5 days and had just rounded the southern tip of Africa on their way to the Yellow Sea. Captain Ken Blankenship knew he was making a hell of a lot of noise at that speed, but there was no immediate threat until they reached the South China Sea where they'd begin sprinting and drifting.

"Sonar, how close behind us are the assault ships? Captain Blankenship asked. "Some 15,000 yards sir," the man at the sonar room reported. "Some 7 or 8 miles...and perhaps 10 more days at this rate?" "More like 7 or 8 sir," he replied. To Blankenship's right was the SSN Oglethorpe, first in it's class and the Ohio-class guided missile subs Ohiowa and ORS Phillip Marovich.

When they broke the 1,000 mile mark from the porttown of Haeju, Thirteen and Ohiowa would proceed to bombard the town with 32 Tactical Tomahawk (R) cruise missiles, also breaking away with half the assault ships and escorting convoy. Oglethorpe and Phillip Marovich would lead a similar attack on Ongjin, all four subs staying in the waters of the Yellow Sea to provide further support via VLS launch.

Beta Strike Wing–Sea of Japan
----------------------------------------

96 F-111 Aardvarks flew just over the deck at 450 feet. The swing-wings were back at a delta formation, and the 96 planes were divided into eight squadrons of 12, Each squadron was in charge of attacking a certain base in North K0rea. They were to avoid the Kusan Harbour at all costs, and only attack enemy movements. Intelligence brought each Squadron Commander up to date with enemy movements, and they chose to arm their jets with Small bombs, mostly 500lbs, to be effective against Anti-Armour and Infantry.

“Wing Commander to All Squadrons, break up and begin initial attack runs. Radio silence until necessary. Air Command will be sending you information.”

“Alpha Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Beta Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Charlie Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Delta Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Echelon Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Theta Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Gamma Squadron, Breaking off and engaging.”

“Omega Squadron, Engaging.” With that, the Wing commander’s personal squadron accelerated and changed course about 15* to their right. Each squadron was enroute to their respective targets around Kusan, namely what was left of enemy resistance.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Echelon Squadron – North-Northeast of Kusan
-----------------------------------------------------------

“Major, I have six enemy fighters to our direct south, they are making straffing runs near the port.”

“Leave it for the Attack Squadrons of the 2nd Pac Attack.”

“Sir, we cannot leave them there hanging.”

“Orders say radio silence, Lieutenant.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Flight Officer to Squadron, three minutes to target. Enemy movements are south on the highway, SAM radar detected.”

“3 Minutes out.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------
RNS Hamburg – Korea Bay outside Nampo
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Los Angeles Class Attack Sub had positioned itself right behind the two destroyers, each traveling at 10 knots, 2,000 yards apart. Captain Mako was in his quarters, reading a Tom Clancy book. His XO stepped in, Lauren Silen. “Captain, our targets are running at 10 knots about 5,000 yards in front of us. The first destroyer is 15,000 yards to the port entrance. The second destroyer is 2,000 yards behind it.”

“Good job, commander. Am I needed in the conn?”

“Not for a ‘nother few minutes, sir.” Lauren was one of the first few female officers in the Naval Submarine force. She was ready for her own command, but FLT HQ wanted to test her ability in this war. For that reason, they told Ryan Mako to give her a few challenging tasks, this will be a good opportunity.

“Lauren, I am going to give you command in this engagement. Obviously this will be difficult, because in order to attack, we need to sink both ships, and attack the fuel depot, which means you can only use Harpoons to attack the ships, if you choose to do so.”

“Sir, I have been going it over in my head. I know what to do.”

“Lots of lives depend upon your decisions, Lauren. Are you ready?”

“Yes, sir!” Lauren had an enthusiastic look on her face.

“I will be in the conn in five minutes. The attack shall commence in ten.”

“My direct orders sir?”

“Take out the destroyers, and make sure they block the passage out. Then you are to launch an attack on any supply and fuel depots in the Compound, and launch a few missiles at enemy runways, specifically ASW capabilities. After that, you are to go to periscope depth and check the scene. After that, you are to escape without causing trouble. The fleet will take care of any surface combatants.”

“Do I have permission to launch all 12 VLS Missiles?’

“You are granted permission to launch an attack using VLS missiles on the Port itself. I would suggest taking out the first destroyer first, Lauren. And make them SINK not blow up.”

“Yes, Sir!”

“You have the conn.”

Captain Mako started to sing on his way to the conn.

She stood there bright as the sun on that california coast
He was a midwestern boy on his own
She looked at him with those soft eyes,
So innocent and blue
He knew right then he was too far from home he was too far from home

She took his hand and she led him along that golden beach
They watched the waves tumble over the sand
They drove for miles and miles
Up those twisting turning roads
Higher and higher and higher they climbed

And those hollywood nights
In those hollywood hills
She was looking so right
In her diamonds and frills
All those big city nights
In those high rolling hills
Above all the lights
She had all of the skills

He’d headed west ’cause he felt that a change
Would do him good
See some old friends, good for the soul
She had been born with a face that would her
Get her way
He saw that face and he lost all control
He had lost all control

Night after night, day after day, it went on and on
Then came that morning he woke up alone
He spent all night staring down at the lights of la
Wondering if he could ever go home

And those hollywood nights
In those hollywood hills
It was looking so right
It was giving him chills
In those big city nights
In those high rolling hills
Above all the lights
With a passion that kills

In those hollywood nights
In those hollywood hills
She was looking so right
In her diamonds and frills
All those big city nights
In those high rolling hills
Above all the lights
She had all of the skills

"Sir, we have information that Ruhr is attacking the North Korean city of Nampo. It has a very large harbor, to which it owes it's fame, and economy. I believe that we should send in a sizeable fleet to assist him, what do you think?"

"Splended, send the thrid fleet, and the forth naval scout division. Make sure that Rurh has his back door covered, you know what i mean Commander, patrol his waters 24/7. Sink any ship flying the North Korean Flag."

"Right oh, Chancellor... anything else?"

4:18 PM, ABOARD THE ORS THIRTEEN

"Captain, we've just crossed the Indian Ocean and will be proceeding through Indonesia into the South China Sea," reported a Sonar room operator. "Excellent," replied Captain Blankenship. It would take one more week before they'd be in the Yellow Sea, south of their landing point. When they were 1,000 miles offshore of Haeju they'd split up the battlegroup, half of the men to land at Haeju and the other to assault Ongjin; 32 Tomahawks to soften up the areas for landing.

"Engine room, decrease speed to 15 knots; come up to periscope depth and check the seas." Blankenship knew they were still in friendly waters, but was only following procedure.

Chairman of the Joint Cheifs Andrew Burns begens. "All right. North Korea has been invaded, and we are sending troops to help. What should our plans be?"

Air Force chief of Staff Roger Billys stands up. "Sir, I have created a plan which involves a gigantic bombing run of targets in the area followed by an airborne assault on the road to P'yongyang from Kusan. Then our allies currently in Kusan will send their forces in an armored collum through our forces, along with Bonstocknian forces in the area."

General Burns says "Where would we stage the assault?"

Navy Cheif of Staff John Perry says "Well, we could use aircraft carriers to the Yellow Sea then launch your air assault with carrier borne F/A 18s and F-14s. Then helicopters from Amphibious ships will do the airborne invasion."

General Billys interupts, saying "Well, send forces into an airfield around Kusan. That would be easier and quicker with our cargo jets."

Burns says "We'll keep all options on the table. President Evremonde will approve of a strategy."

eapons:
-66mm Underwater Torpedo Launcher
This launch system fires small high explosive torpedoes. At least 12 of them are mounted around the hull in strategic positions, providing nearly 100% coverage. These small torpedoes can be used in an offensive role, and are quite capable of destroying midget-subs and DSRV's, but they are primarily an advanced countermeasure system. Capable of firing 6 rounds per minute, a sophisticated tracking system guides the 66mm torpedo towards an incoming enemy torpedo. When it closes within 5 meters, the torpedo detonates and caused a high pressure burst that (hopefully) damages the incoming projectile and causes it to explode.

-533mm Torpedo Launcher
The 533mm Torpedo Launcher is designed primarily to destroy other enemy submarines and surface vessels. With a body packed full of high-explosives, the 533mm is quite capable of punching through an enemy's hull. The torpedo is guided by wire to within 8 miles of its target before being cut loose. The active sensors then take over and guide the torpedo until it detonates. Aboard the "Ryuou" class, eight 533mm Torpedo Launchers are positioned in the front of the submarine, while two are located on the spine of the submarine. The spine launchers can fire either forwards or backwards, while the forward launchers can direct a devastating salvo of weaponry at any target.

-ABTC-083 Mk.IV Battle Computer
This is the newest variant of the (A)dvanced (B)attle (T)actical ©omputer. It interfaces directly with the sonar, targeting computers, and nearby imaging and GPS satellites to draw a composite image of the battlefield. By pinpointing the submarine's position via GPS and ELF transmitters, and by comparing topographical maps of the area, an actual 3D view of the area can be displayed onto an immense plasma TV viewscreen. Sonar pulses correct for any uncharted terrain features, and even map out possible enemy contacts as if they were completely visible and display them with a target marker, automatically measuring displacement and propeller blades to determine the class of ship or submarine.. A viewshield on the bridge can be retracted to allow visual sighting in extremely clear water. The ABTC system can direct up to 18 seperate torpedoes, monitor over 300 contacts, and control all other automated ship functions at once. It is truly an asset to the fleet.

Whenever something that matches the characteristics of a submarine are picked up on sonar (propeller blades, nuclear reactor cooling systems, seismic activity, and the like), the contact is posted as a waypoint on the display. As the "Ryuou" continues, it constantly monitors the contact and compares any new characteristics gained to an internal database. The database is filled with every known sub and surface vessel on the planet, as well as most aircraft likely to pass over the ocean (heavy bombers, ASW helicopters, etc). The database can be easily updated via a secure MILSAT satellite download. If the contact continues to display submarine or surface vessel-like characteristics, it is then sonar focused on if authorized by the captain. This sonar focus can more precisely "map" the contact out and begins comparing things such as angles and propeller-screw blades to its database. This enables it to narrow down the list of possibilities. When a likely match (75%+) is found, it is displayed on the viewscreen. Whether the contact is an allied or enemy design, the captain can then decide whether to hail it or to go to periscope depth for a closer look.

Normal complement of torpedoes is only 84 66mm torpedoes and 24 533mm torpedoes. The 66mm's are basically a glorified interceptor system. To carry the maximum loadout of weapons reduces the "Ryuou's" time at sea to less than 6 days. This results in a considerable performance loss and can only be accomplished by docking with a submarine tender near the target and taking on the additional weapons there. The maximum weapons load would only be used to shatter an enemy base or fleet protected by several SS's and SSN's, where speed it not an extremely important issue.

At the headquarters of President Evremonde:

General Burns says to the President: "Sir, Oglethorpia plans to invade the area around Haeju," pointing to the place on a map of Korea. "So, the Joint Cheifs have come up with these plans. Some want to attack P'yongyang directly, another calls for a Kusan airportable buildup, and another calls for a large scale amphibious invasion of Haeju in coordination with 20,000 Oglethorpian troops."

President Evremonde responded "Haeju can be easily reinforced from our territories in Taiwan and Hong Kong. But I expect that 20,000 troops, even 50,000, might not be enough. Mobilize our forces, and tell Oglethorpia to invde with a few more troops. I think a Bonstocknian force will have about 60,000 troops for the assault, but that will take a while... perhaps a few weeks. They will be followe up by about 200,000 troops, and I might be able to get 1 million in the area in 2 months. That should help..."

"Yes. Also, we might want to launch an airborne assault around the town of Sariwon, about 50 miles inland. It controls a strategic road junction we will deny the enemy and be able to launch an assault into P'yongyang"

"Perfect. So this will have the 6th Airborne Division invading Sariwon, the 9th Airborne Division seizing the town of Haeju prior to the invasion, and the 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions to invade the beaches with the Oglethorpians. The total is 60,000 troops."

10,000 Vigilance class modular tank(w/ 2 of each configuration each)
~Crew: 2 (1 driver, 1 gunner)
Length: 15’2
Width: 8’8
Height: 8’2
Weight: 18 tonnes
Road speed: 65mph
Range: 450 miles
Engine: Efficient diesel (Austrin-Ontis special design)
Armament: Variable (See below)
Chassis: Advanced composite bodywork and advanced lightweight armour
Unit cost : 1.2 million (One configuration)

The Vigilance has a single 7.62mm machine gun in a forward 180’ mount and a remote operated turret with 360’ rotation. What is unusual about the Vigilance is that it’s remote turret has been designed to incorporate a number of different weapon systems to fulfil battlefield roles. Here are the current turret configurations:

Main battle tank: 40mm cannon and 7.62mm coaxial machine gun

Battle support: 25mm cannon (chain gun) and 7.62mm coaxial machine gun

Artillery support: 120mm mortar

Crowd control (Type One): Torrent class high pressure water cannon

Crowd control (Type Two): Hellfire class vehicular flamethrower

Heavy armour: 2-8 TOW rocket tubes and 7.62mm coaxial machine gun

Tank hunter - By popular request, a recoilless 120mm cannon, suitable for use against main battletanks.

Air defence - Mounts one Goalkeeper system. Goalkeeper is an autonomous and fully integrated weapon system for short-range defence systems against missiles and aircraft. The system automatically performs the entire process from surveillance and detection to destruction, including selection of the next priority target. Goalkeeper combines a search radar (high power, I-band), a pin-point tracking radar (I/K-band), a weapon control system and a gun (Lockhead Martin 30 mm, 7 barrel, 4200 rds/min, range 3 miles) in one devastating system. The system features automatic target indication and track initiation. Threat priority is determined automatically and is directly followed by direction of the track antenna to the "priority one" target.
The Goalkeeper was originally developed for defence of ships, but with our modifications, it can protect your tank coulmns from missile attack also. It is significantly larger than other weapon systems for the Vigilant, and requires fairly extensive modification. Field changing requires 2-3 day~

27,000 JOAP-MK1Bs
~The primary armament
of the JOAP MKI is a large 175mm artillery piece, mounted in the front of the vehicle. This is the main gun of the JOAP and is located on a turret that can rotate, etc. Two 140mm guns are located on turrets on the side of the tank. They can be moved from side to side and up and down but can only engage targets located on their side of the JOAP. The guns tubes can be replaced without dismantling inside the turrets. The guns can fire a variety of ammunition including APDS (Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot), HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank), HE-FRAG (High Explosive Fragmentation) as well as shrapnel projectiles with time fuses.
The JOAP’s gun can also fire the 9M119 Refleks (NATO designation AT-11 Sniper) anti-tank guided missile system. The range of the missile is 100 - 4,000 m and takes 11.7 sec to reach maximum range. The system is intended to engage tanks fitted with ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) as well as low-flying air targets such as helicopters, at a range of up to 5 km. The missile system fires either the 9M119 or 9M119M missiles which have semi-automatic laser beamriding guidance and a hollow charge warhead. Missile weight is 23.4 kg. The guns automatic loader will feed both ordnance and missiles.
Also fitted are 3 coaxial 7.62 mm PKT machine guns and 2 12.7 mm air defense machine gun. 3 5.45 mm AKS-74 assault rifles are carried on the storage racks. The JOAP MK-1B siege tank also has a limited MTHEL system covering about 15 yards In all directions. This system has a 75% accuracy rating and can take down missiles, artillery shells, and large caliber tank shells.

Armor:
The JOAP tank is protected by both conventional armor plating, and explosive reactive armor (ERA). It is known as the Kaktus (Cactus) and is among the latest in armor technology. It has 4500mm of armor. (450mm layers of alternating ERA and conventional armor.)
The JOAP is fitted with the Shtora-1. This system includes infrared jammer, laser warning system with four laser warning receivers, grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerized control system.
It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.

Propulsion:
The JOAP has a 16640 hp turbocharged engine. The primary engines are a pair of modified Ion drives(15 year lifespan), although if they break down it can be fueled by a small nuclear reactor which is compatible with the Ion engines drives (3 year lifespan), or by a conventional engine that can use T-2 or TS-1 kerosene and A-72 benzine, in addition to diesel. The tank can carry up to 4,400 litres of fuel in the main fuel tanks and fuel drums. The fuel tanks are reinforced with armor plating.
The tank is provided with a snorkel for deep fording and can ford 5 metres of water with equipment which can be deployed in 20 minutes.
The mechanical transmission includes primary reduction gear, two planetary final gearboxes and two planetary final drives. The running gear features torsion bar suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers at 1, 2 and 6 road wheel stations and tracks with rubber-metallic pin hing
es. Fire Control:
The JOAP has the 1A4GT integrated fire control system (IFCS) which is automatic but with manual override for the commander. The IFCS contains the gunner's 1A43 day fire control system, gunner's TO1-KO1 thermal imaging sight which has a target identification range of 1.2 km to 1.5 km and commander's PNK-S sight.
The gunner's 1A43 day FCS comprises: 1G46 day sight/rangefinder with missile guidance channel, 2E42-4 armament stabilizer, 1V528 ballistic computer and DVE-BS wind gauge.
The commander's PNK-4S sight includes a TKN-4S (Agat-S) day/night sight which has identification ranges of 800 m (day) and 700 m (night).
The driver is equipped with a TVN-5 infrared night viewer.

Crew: There is a semi-sentient AI installed which allows the crew to be reduced down to 1 Commander, 3 Gunners, and a Pilot. A large Crew Compartment holds them all in armored safety.

The JOAP is about 20 yards long, 10 yards wide, and 5 yards tall. It weighs in at a massive 35,000 tons. Its speed on rough terrain is about 40mph, and the bottom of the tank has 8 ion-powered boosters to take weight off the ground if needed, and its speed on flat surfaces is roughly 60mph~

Weapons:

To carry the maximum loadout of weapons reduces the "Ryuou's" time at sea to less than 3 days. This results in a considerable performance loss and can only be accomplished by docking with a submarine tender near the target and taking on the additional weapons there. The maximum weapons load would only be used to shatter an enemy base or fleet protected by several SS's and SSN's, where speed it not an extremely important issue.

100XPURPOSE
The mission of the ship is to carry out rapid sea-lift and beach landing of assault troops and combat material on territory held by hostile forces. The ship also provides fire support for the troop operations on shore. The ship is capable of laying active minefields.

DESIGN
The square-shaped pontoon structure of the hull provides a rugged, stable and seaworthy design. The pontoon's superstructure is divided by two longitudinal bulkheads into three functional sections. The middle section accommodates the compartment for armoured vehicles to be landed with taxi tracks and loading and unloading ramps. The two outer sections house the main and auxiliary power plants, the troop compartments, crew living quarters, and life support and NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection. Ventilation, air-conditioning and heating systems are installed in the amphibious troops compartments and in the crew living quarters. These areas are also fitted with thermal and sound insulation coatings and vibration isolation structures.

The ship is fitted with light armour plating to provide a degree of protection to the crew and the troops against ammunition and blast fragments. The Naiad can carry up to 130t of cargo: three medium battle tanks, eight infantry combat vehicles, ten armoured personnel carriers, or 360 fully equipped amphibious landing troops. The ship has a bow and a stern ramp for fast landing of troops and combat material.

WEAPON SYSTEMS
The ship is equipped with two stabilised multiple rocket launchers, four Igla-1M portable air defence missile systems, and two AK-630 30mm automatic gun mounts. The AK-630 artillery system provides defence against manned and unmanned air attack, including incoming sea- skimming anti-ship missiles, small sea targets, lightly armoured coastal targets and floating mines. The six-barrel automatic gun, model AO-18 has a firing rate of 5,000 rounds/min.

NAVIGATION
The Naiad is equipped with a navigation suite comprising two navigation radars, gyrocompass, magnetic compass, drift log, satellite navigation receiver, Decca receiver, radio direction finder, master gyroscope and day and night vision drift sight.

PROPULSION
Three upright ring shrouds, housing the air propellers and standing upright at the back of the ship, give the Naiad its distinctive appearance. The four bladed propellers which are provide the ship with a top speed of 60 knots. High-temperature gas turbine engines provide the power to drive the air-cushion blowers and the air propellers. The craft has four blowers model NO-10, fitted with axial operating wheels of 2.5m diameter, to generate the air cushion. The air thrust for movement is powered by three four-bladed, reversible, variable-pitch air propellers, 5.5m in diameter. The air propellers are mounted inside ring shrouds. The Naiad is equipped with two electric power plants. Each power plant has two gas turbine generators, each rated at 100kW. Control of the ship and systems is carried out from a main control station, a central control room and through various remote control panels.

NationStates’ fastest known supercomputer, C.A.E.S.A.R., was unveiled today at a joint United Apostates and Knootoss press conference. “Today, we witness the birth of possibility and celebrate the spirit of ingenuity,” announced Nicholae, Patriarch of the United Apostates.

C.A.E.S.A.R., which stands for Combat Application Engineered System for Advanced Response, is the world’s fastest supercomputer with a computing capacity just over 1 petaflop (1,000 trillion mathematical calculations per second). Developed by Caesar SuperComputer Inc – a joint venture between the United Apostates and Knootoss – C.A.E.S.A.R. surpasses existing supercomputers in computing capacity, data storage capacity, and compute density.

“We wanted to develop a supercomputer that could handle the rigorous demands of advanced civilian or military applications,” commented Frits Bolkestein, Permanent Knootian representative in the Ur Trade Pact council. “We spent months designing and redesigning this system until it exceeded our expectations.”

Some of those expectations were an advanced security protocol, encrypted authentication, and radiation and EMP protection. “We believe we’ve developed a powerful tool that will transform how nations conduct commerce, trade, and warfare,” stated Bolkestein.

C.A.E.S.A.R. Supercomputer
(Combat Application Engineered System for Advanced Response)

Base Model Price: $700,000,000
Ship/Plane Based Model: $850,000,000

Technical Information:

Computing capacity: 1 petaflop (1,000 trillion mathematical calculations per second)

Data storage capacity: 50 petabytes (50,000 trillion bytes)

Size: high-compute density (reduces size of supercomputer so it can fit into a ship or plane)

Security protocols:

Each unit has built in advanced security protocols that are designed to provide information analysis and protection with regional and global command and control capabilities. In addition, the advanced security protocol solves address problems found in the current generation of intrusion detection devices, including the accuracy of attack identification, generation of high volumes of false alarms, and the inability to detect new types of attacks.

The system detects known attacks using various techniques to correlate single and multiple events, while novel attacks are detected using advanced analytic techniques, including fuzzy logic, to identify aberrant behavioral patterns.

Backup systems:

Complete system redundancy to prevent data loss or system down time.

Design:

Completely shielded from EMP or radiation attack.

Requires encrypted authentication from the manufacturer to activate, maintenance, and/or upgrade.

9:42 PM, MILITARY COMMAND ROOM

At the head of the long mahogany table sits Prime Minister Maximillian Bjorn. The entire facility is somewhere underneath Oglethorpia; few of the generals even know where they have been transported through the network of tunnels. Before the Prime Minister sit 20 of his highest military advisors and generals, to his right General Matthews and to his left Defense Minister Sam Hedland. General Matthews begins the meeting.

"Prime Minister, our Wasp-class troop carriers are 6 days out from the Yellow Sea. From there the SSNs will proceed to pave a way for them into Haeju by launching Tomahawk missiles." This much the Prime Minister was sure on, it had been discussed three times. "Now, Oglethorpian B2s will lead an initial bombing run on the city of Ongjin; B1Bs will follow suit after we know that SAMs or anti-air defenses pose any threat."

"General, aren't we already planning to land half our forces there?" asked the Prime Minister. "Sir, we will have 15,000 paratroopers in the town days before the troops will make it on land. That way we can also devote more Tomahawk missiles to secondary targets, or attacks of opportunity." "Matthews, I like your thinking," said Prime Minister Bjorn. "That's how I got here, Sir."

5:46 PM, JUST OUTSIDE THE YELLOW SEA

Captain Weiss stood on the bow of the ORS Harrison, one of eight destroyers assigned to help protect the 26 Wasp-class troop carriers. On one side were lined 3 destroyers, the 26 troop carriers lined up double file. Behind the destroyers were 2 frigates. The entire battlegroup was symetrical. Two destroyers and two frigates led the entire convoy headed towards the Yellow Sea. "And those 4 submarines," Captain Weiss thought to himself, "but no one would know about those until it's too late."

It would be some 100 more miles before the group would split in two to co-ordinate two seperate troop landings in N0rth Korea. Weiss took up his binoculars, half-scolding himself for doing it; what would he see? As soon as he picked them up and peered through them, they dropped back down, held up only by his neckstrap. Captain Weiss could've sworn he'd spotted a grouping of 4, maybe 5 ships; and apparently headed in their direction.

Weiss had no bearing on their distance, but they were out there. "Sonar, be on the lookout for any contacts," he reported back in the ship.

OOC: Sorry fellow politicians and war strategists for my own delay, but I have finally arrived. I'll keep the response to Haraki's missile attack short and simple.

IC:

Ongjin, North Korea

The Harakian missile barrage had all but spared the harbor and its anchored ships, but they were essentially too late. The Ongjin had recently been under heavy assault by USSNK MiG bombings and quick strike AFV's, not a single dock worker was left arrive. The missiles however were successful in taking out four heavy cruisers and two destroyers that belonged to the PDRK-loyal 4th Fleet. The remaining other missiles went past their initial targets and struck the already paniced inhabitants of the city of Ongjin itself. Out of the 15 known KNFS fleet groups, 8 have been listed as missing or away from North Korea altogether, 5 of those 8 have been tracked down by satellite, whereabouts of the other unknown. At this moment, PDRK forces are in complete disarray and are scattered throughout the region in a bitter struggle against the seemingly better organized USSNK forces. The Ministry of Internal Affairs as sent out a message to those living within Ongjin, Kusan, and Nampo are to evacuate immediately under military escort, the city of Changyon still unharmed by attacks. The PDRK Foreign Ministry has continued time and time again to make contact outside the nation but recent communication disruptions has ensured that this will not be possible. The city of Yongbyon, Pyonggang, Wonsan, and Hamhung are now in control of the USSNK as PDRK troops are forced into strategic withdrawals in the confusion. From the sky, any pilot or passenger looking down is able to see the lands of the northern Korean region with sparkles of flame and smoke as the battle enters its second month of combat.

Current Allied Information:
- Ruhrian, Harakian, and Oglethorpian troops are winning superiority for the control of the ports of Kusan, Ongjin, and Nampo.
- 8 Naval Groups are not docked at harbor; 5 found at various nav points; 3 still unaccounted for.
- For some unknown reasons, there is a lack of military response from PDRK forces. MiGs have been seen conducting bombing raids on PDRK troops so it can possibly be a covert strike conducted by a nation in support of Ruhr.( yea right.. )

10:01 PM, MILITARY COMMAND ROOM

"Sir, our battlegroup is on the outskirts of the Yellow Sea," Defense Minister Sam Hedland reported. "Good, but wha-" Hedland interjected. "Sir, sonar has picked up two destroyers and six frigates; they seem to be of Korean make." "Hedland, are you sure they're Ruhrian?" "Sir, Ruhrian fleets are based in the northern Yellow Sea. ORS Harrison reported these to be moving in a Southernly detection; all submarines are ordered to proceed in a sprint and drift pattern." "Hmmm," the Prime Minister said.

"Anything else of import? I'm sure our guys out there can handle it," the Prime Minister said affirmatively. "Captain Weiss is a competent officer," Hedland said. "Prime Minister, we are now warming up a B2 Spirit for bombing runs on Ongjin. Two hours following the strikes against the small SAM network, we will deploy 15,000 paratroopers into Ongjin; that's the 1st, 3rd and 6th Airborne divisions. By the time they're on the ground it'll be early morning in N0rth Korea," stated General Matthews.

"Very well, General. I hope all carries out as smooth as you have planned," the Prime Minister said.

Cheju, North Korea OOC: Cheju is a place I made up.

Lt. Commander Je-Han walked through the halls of the Kal-Hung Underground Research facility, along with him was General Hyung and others from the top-brass. They walked by all the workers as if not being noticed, getting occasional glances and salutes from guards and security troopers.

"So what have the tests given off so far for their combat and flight capabilities?.." General Lee asked, himself a bit anxious..

"...Nothing..Its missions will be its test evaluations.." was Han's reply. Lee stopped in his tracks for a moment, apprently with a shocked expression on him.

"What!?...You're telling me that you haven't even tested these gunships!..How the hell will we know that they will provide us with superior firepower over those rebels dammit!.."

"..They aren't meant for superior firepower dear General...these six will be provide us the edge on the surprise hit-and-run factor on them. It is about time they get a taste of their own medicine.." Lee was about to speak out again before a hand came in front of his mouth, it was Hyun's

"General Lee...do not go as far as to think low of our own capabilities..The HunterKillers have gone through hovering test simulation with 100% success, I have full confidence that they will be near invaluable on the battlefield. Now let us continue if you will..." The Lt. Commander gave his thanks to Hyun before the entire group continued again, stopping at a rather large blast door, "The moment you've been waiting for gentlemen.." And with that, Han inputed the access key codes and other security tests, allowing the doors to seperate and open, giving the commanders the sight of a lifetime...

Aboard RBV Kowloon, flagship of the Bonstocknian Yellow Sea Fleet, arriving from bases in Taiwan and Hong Kong:

"Admiral Strauswich, we are about to join with thew Oglethorpian fleet."

"Thank you, Captain Wilks. Send a transmission to Bonstock. We need more ships."

"Roger, sir."

Admiral Strauswich fixed his binoculars, and gazed at the ships under his command. Three Nimitz class aircraft carriers, 18 various escorts, including 9 Aegis cruisers and destroyers, three supply ships, and six submarines. He also had under his command tree Wasp class amphibious ships which were to assist in a ground invasion. The old admiral gazed forward, looking at the Oglethorpian fleet beyond.

"Admiral, we have another transmission."

"What is it, Captain?"

"Orders. Apparently we have another 3 Amphibious ships with us."

"Well, what are our plans?"

"Well, they have embarked the 1st Infantry Division with them. The 2nd, and the Airborne Divisions, are still in Taiwan, staging."

"We need more men then that!"

"Well, sir, High Command has only tasked us with this. We have yet to call up the reserves."

"Indeed so. Well, so this is only Infantry?"

"Yes, sir. The armor units will be shipped out later, landed after we land."

"Those Army officers sure love their armor. Why else are most of our infantry divisions mechanized?"

"Yes, sir. Anyway, the 1st is gonna make their assault and then the 2nd will come with their tanks. We might even get the 3rd and 4th Divisions."

"Yes. Keep me posted."

"Yes, admiral."

Current Bonstocknian deployments in region (not commited to battle yet):

3 Carrier Battle Groups
4 Mechanized Infantry Divisions, one dismounted adn embarked on transports for amphibious warfare, 1200 M1A2s, 1200 M2 BFVs, tanks not yet arrived.

"B2, you are cleared for takeoff on runway 1. And godspeed, pilot." The flight commander really knew the pilot was busy with other things. But John Wright was patriotic and wanted his sentiments with the B2's pilot. As soon as he had put down the mike he heard the roar of the B2's takeoff from runway 1; of 2 at Miller Air Base. Soon the B2 was off and the deafining roar of it's engines soon dyed down. However adjacent to runway 2 he could see masses of people in front of the C141s in their hangers; the military had already begun readying the paratroopers to be dropped into N0rth Korea by C17 and C141, the first flights leaving at 12:22 PM.

In a Taiwanese staging area with the 9th Airborne Division:

The soldiers stood in line for their rations. The cook repeatedly, monotonously said "open the top; clip the lid," refering to the clip-close standard issue mess kits used by Bonstocknian soldiers. He despensed what looked like soupy mashed potatoes.

"You expect us ta eat this slop again?" protested one soldier as the reain poured down."

"I dun care what you do with it... eat it, throw it up... Im only paid for cookin it."

The soldier groaned, then went along. He sat by his friend, and said "Hey, Frank, when d'ya think we're goin in?"

"Ah, soon, I becha. Hey, heard some-a the Rangers are in there playin poker. Wanna go play?"

"Yea, after I learn what the h--l this f---in shlop is, but that may take too long."

The two ate their lunch, and went to play poker. Meanwhile, the Colonel, Colonel Hiltson, looked grim. Memories flashed before him. He realized that all his men were just boys, many had never been out of Bonstock, and none had experienced what he had gone through. He kept thinking his silent thoughts as his men played poker, blissfully and unaware. A captain came up to him.

"Colonel, just got word... we may be out tonight..."

"Yes. Either they give the signal by nine or so. Then the invasion will start." He sighed.

"Colonel, somtrin wrong?"

"Nah, nothin."

Night falls over Asia. It is now 11:00. F-16s roar overhead. Some have already reached their targets, pounding roads, defenses, everything they could. Everything that moved was targeted. So far, 3 have been shot down. At the camp in Taiwan, paratroopers ready themselves. The order has been given to go. 1st Infantry is prepping their landing craft at sea, and 2nd ID is shipping out, getting into cargo ships with their equipment. They will land with the Oglethorpian troops.

Cargo planes rady themselves. C-141s are prepparing. Soldiers stood in line, waiting to go.

"Frank, is this it?"

"You becha, Chuck. I bet it'l be eawsy. Those NKs dunno howta fight. Ive heard reports of them not fighting back 'gainst our allies."

"Ya."

Meanwhile, Colonol Hiltson still had his gloomy look. He called his troops for a breifing. He told them "You are the 2nd Brigade, 9th Infantry Division. I expect the best, 'cause thats what you are. You know what ta do. Send 'em to h--l." Thne the troops loaded into their planes. One rolled off the tarmac with its troops. Operation Korean Norman had begun.

Aboard RBV Kowloon, in the Yellow Sea:

"Admiral, we are recieving contact from the Oglethorpian fleet, and from High Command, who say to proceed with the invasion."

"Exellant. I'll send a transmission."

The two walked into the communications room. Admiral Straushwich took the radio. "Come in Captain Wiess. This is Admiral Strauswich of the Bonstocknian Yellow Sea Fleet. Come in Captain Weiss."

"Roger, Sir. This is destroyer ORS Harrison."

"I have recieved word to start the invasion. Are you ready? We are."

As the two talked, carrier based F/A 18s flew over the area, pounding at targets in North Korea around the invasion area. The two fleets were just about four miles from the shore. It was midnight. C-141s flew overhead. The 2nd Infantry was now still many miles out. Then, a few enemy ships opened fire on the Bonstocknian vessels. Carrier barne planes redirected, and launched a volley of missiles. Destroyers, frigates, and cruisers fired into the night, as they were met with return fire. The battle had begun.

At a secret base in Bonstock, two bombers were redying. they were about to become the first Bonstocknian planes to go on such a long mission. Yet they were to do it in an hour. They were the fruits of many years of Bonstocknian labor and research... Project "Microphone," as dubbed by the High Command. They had bombloads of guided bombs, and were tasked with the raid on North Korean forces. They were scramjet powered, and launched up into the night, flying to comence their mission. They flew quietly over the Pacific, high and fast out of the reach of the enemy. They flew over the target zone, and both dropped 30 GPS guided bombs on targets throughout the city. Then, with speed and stealth, they were gone.

The waters of the Yellow Sea were soon disturbed with a massive explosion of water and the howl of jet engines kicking in, the first Tomahawk missile streaking straight up into the atmosphere towards Haeju's coast.

"Missile one fired. Firing two," reported fire control. "Good," Richards replied. Soon fire control had reported all missiles were launched successfully. "Now let's hope they hit their targets," Richards said.

4:03 AM, OGLETHORPIAN TIME - SOMEWHERE OVER ONGJIN

"CentCom, this is B2 Spirit; all oridinance dropped on specified targets in Ongjin. Heading home."

6:14 AM, OGLETHORPIAN TIME - LEADING C141

"MEN! WE'RE JUST A FEW HUNDRED MILES OUT FROM OUR SPECIFIED DROP ZONE," said the 1st Airborne's designated CO screaming at the top of his lungs; the door on their C141 was one of the unfortunate few that didn't seal right and the blistering sound of air overcame anyone's voice. The men sat quietly, anticipating their departure from the plane. Time passed so quickly, most of the men seem startled when he "spoke" up again. "MEN, THIS IS IT! WE'RE A MILE OR TWO AWAY FROM THE DROP ZONE; KEEP CLOSE TO THOSE AROUND YOU! MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL!"

As soon as he finished he turned around to the pilot leaning out from his seat looking at the CO. The CO gave him a thumbs up, and suddenly the rush of air became ten times as loud as the door opened. "GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!" the CO screamed as men jumped out of the back of the C141, their parachutes opening just after the exited the plane. Before he knew it all but the two rows in front of him were evacuated. He jumped out, giving one last thumbs up to the pilots.

154 paratroopers had just entered into N0rth Korea. Enemy territory.

The same in 95 other C141s, the same scene played out.

Somewhere over the Yellow Sea:

"Frank, wha'd ya thinks gonna happen?"

"We're gonna kick their a--! Comon! We're Bonstocknians! Everybody! Sing" They all began to sing La Marseillaise-
"Allons enfants de la Patrie
Le jour de gloire est arrivé !
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L'étendard sanglant est levé
Entendez-vous dans nos campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras.
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes!

Aux armes citoyens
Formez vos bataillons
Marchons, marchons
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons"

All sang on the plane, except for Golonol Hiltson and his captain. The colonel sat with his ever gloomy face. The captain again asked "Anything wrong?"

"Oh, just to many memories. I don't really want to do this again."

"What happened?"

"I was with the Bonstocknian 1st Airborne, during the civil war in Port Yuko. We were all so young, fresh from our effortless defeat of Multaan. Then we were dropped into the streets, shot at from all sides. The streets were unsafe; every building crawled with snipers. I finally made it to the Bank of Bonstock building, where I was holed up for a long time. My entire platoon was obliterated. So many young boys died. Then I was rescued by two shadows; we found many other men, all as insane as me, but one of the shadows only wanted revenge. We found and killed the leaders of the rebellion. It was a massacre. But it was for all the boys they killed. I was a leuitenant back then. I was a boy like all those on this plane. But they killed my spirit. If they say I died in this campaign, tell them I was already dead."

"Yes sir."

The plane neared the drop zone. The pilot screamed out "We're over!"

The colonol said "Everybody out! Everybody out." The door opened, and the colonel, then the captain, then the rest jumped out over the targets.

All 10,000 paratroopers of the Bonstocknian 6th Airborne launched out over their target. Further inland, the 9th Airborne landed with another 10,000 men. Soon later, the 1st Infantry would assault the beaches. The operation was going as planned.

Hyung, North Korea; Few miles from Ongjin OOC: Again..made up

The soldiers had settled amongst themselves along one of the last secured east coast bases still secured by the PDRK, by now the news had already spread to every command bunker in the region: There was a civil war and at the same time multiple foreign invasions..Colonel Soon looked at his watch and then at the reports that he had been receiving. About 2-3 hours ago, two radar posts had detected movement in the air. The first was later confirmed as a bombing raid but the second came with no further incident...he was to prepare the defenses just in case. Just another sh-tty day..Was all the colonel could think..

He exited and observed the base around him. There was activity at nearly every part of the base, men were loading or securing supplies either that or refortifying defenses with A-A guns, sandbags, and heavy machine gun placements...but something was off...He immediately went back into the room, the speakers blaring to life with his voice,

"This is Colonel Soon..as you may know, we face a true difficulty before us...to the East comes a foreign invasion whose origins we have yet to confirm and all around us, our own kind betray for what? For nothing...Anyways, I am stating that staying at this base will be a suicide for us. Hyung is already half evacuated..The order is to reallocate all necessary supplies to Hyung and prepare the city itself for the assault..Let's move!" The momentary pause ended and troops once again went back to work but at a faster pace, taking down what they had just set up as fast as possible..

Pyongyang, N0rth Korea

By now the streets were more quieter, PDRK forces were able to regroup and commit a series of quick strikes to repel the USSNK forces. Major Hook was inside the lead tank as it and the 3rd squadron rummbled through the marred capital streets, blowing up any oncoming APC's and such. He had received word that at section 9 of the capital was in full control by PDRK forces with thanks to the civilian militia, he heard over the radio cheers as soldier and citizen celebrated in driving out the enemy. At times he truely wanted to smile..but he couldn't...he couldn't because he knew that it was far from over. They may have been able to drive out USSNK forces, but what of the foreign troopers?..Surely they would prove much stronger...A number of scenarios passed through his head until his tank driver got his attention.

"Sir..I have received word that the 15th Armor Division has arrived as well as the 19th Infantry Garrison.."

"Good news.." The colonel stated, forcing himself a smile as to reassure his men, "With this many troops the capital shall not fall..not to any foreign aggressor or even our own people.." The colonel's tank rolled on through, its turret slowly turning occassionaly as it passed on through what is..was the main center of Pyongyang..

Silently, the paratroopers landed. They set about securing bridges, and crushing resistance. AAA went off, and troops scuried to capture the bridges. As 4th Battailion, 2nd Brigade, 6th Infantry closed in on a nearby bridge, they encountered a force of resistance. Using machine pistols and M-4 rifles, Bonstocknian troops fought across the bridge, taking about 24 casualties. Elsewhere, some planes dropped dummy parachutists in order to confuse the defenders. These miniatures were packed with firecrackers that sounded like rifle fire when they hit the ground.

1st Battailion, 2nd Brigade, 6th Airborne fell right nearby a small ammo depot. Most were disorientated- no one could find eachother. Frank found himself on his own. He walked around a local farm house, looking for any sign of friend or foe. He walked beside a farm fence, then saw some troops on the other side. He had a signalling crickit, which gave off a click, to be responded with two clicks by allied troops. Frank hit the dirt by the fence, then squeezed his crickit. It was responded with two clicks. He jumped up, only to be greeted by the rifles of the troops, who were Bonstocknian. Frank said "Boy am I glad to see you!" As the men pointed their rifles at him, then put them down. "So you with the 6th?"

"No, 9th."

"Oh... where's 6th?"

"Kid we dont even know where our own outfit is. Come on."

"Wait!"

He caught up with them on the other side. As he walked he saw another band of soldiers coming towards them on the other side. Suddenly some aircraft flew over. Both groups turned their heads up as the planes passed and they passed eachother. Frank looked back, and said, "Hey, hey guys they were NKs!" The group was ahead of him, and didn't hear. Frank ran to catch up.

Location: Unknown; 7th Battle Fleet

Captain Deong stood alone in his room, looking over the charter maps as well as overviewing many strategies. His 7th Fleet was one of the only navy groups that had mostly submarines..and it was for this moment he thanked buddah that he was in command of it..So far, neither of his submarines were detected but at the same time he was nervous..nervous that his luck would run out on him, that he would be caught and be forced into a position he did not take most pleasure of...especially when nearly half of your strike force carried within themselves payloads of nuclear armaments..

He was looking over the map of Ruhr when his XO came in, "Captain, you're needed at the helm.." Deong dimissed his second and put everything away, rubbing his eyes from the long stress he had...it was just one of those times..

Location: Unknown; KNFS First Battle Fleet

"Yes...yes, that is the most disturbing news indeed........What!?..b-but how?..How did.." The man slammed his fist on the desk and gave a semi-loud curse before continuing, "Dammit, I knew I shouldn't of left..if I was there, all of them would be up and aware..They would of been able to do something instead of running around in panic!.."

High Admiral Seok was not happy with what he was hearing. The entire PDRK was in disarray by a civil war with some powerhungery traitor and the east coast was being hit hard by an invasion force. He would have every right to yell at them except for the fact that his fleet group didn't detect any appraching ships as well...He couldn't understand how an entire naval fleet group could bypass not only his but the whole eastern detection grids, he gave a heavy sigh as he began to partially blamed himself for allowing this to happen,

"So..do you wish for me to redirect my group to fend off against the ships?...No? But si-..Yes sir. I understand sir..My fleet shall wait here then until ordered otherwise..Goodbye sir...Many luck to the mainland.."

With that Seok put down the phone, leaning back on his chair and taking a sip of whiskey..which seemed to be the only way to seduce the large amount of stress that he was about to receive..

Uh, pick a target.

Or as N0rth Korea for any vital stuff on the Eastern seaboard.

Ruhr and I are trying to secure Haeju and Ongjin as they're ports and use it as a gateway into the country.

Plus, it doesn't help i'm halfway around the world from N0rth Korea. :?

EDIT: Nevermind, there are plenty of targets for you.

On this map it says there are 3 airports around the area of Ongjin and Haeju, and a seaport. Good for me and Ruhr, if I do manage to secure Haeju I can fly in tanks and such.

Now, the Eastern seaboard, what do we have...

Kimch'eak - Eastern seaport
Ch'ongjin - Eastern seaport and airport
Wonsan - Eastern seaport, close to...
Majon-ni - Airport

Plenty of strategic sites on your side of the action to secure.

I think i've got Haeju and Ongjin handled, I believe NK ordered a civilian evacuation of those cities.

Plus I already launched 12 Tomahawks at Ongjin and Haeju as it is.

Dawn breaks over the Yellow Sea. Many ships await teh landing of troops. Ships of all types prepare their guns. The mist hangs low over teh ships as they thread slowly to their targets. Just arriving are the Bonstocknian 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Infantry Divisions, all in the fleet of ships with their equipment. They are to seize the beaches, then unload equipment after the capture of Haeju, where paratroopers are going to attack to secure it. Admiral Straushwich stand on the deck. A messenger says "Sir the fleet willl open fire in just a few minutes."

"Roger. Prepare the guns and the airstrike."

"Yes sir."

Two minutes later, the guns begin to fire. They send a pummling barrage on the cost of the bay of Haeju. Newly arrived cruisers and destroyers, a total of 100 such ships, assault the beaches. Then 1,435 Bonstocknian airplanes fill the sky. Launched from three carriers and land based in Taiwan, they send volley of 10,000 missiles and bombs on the beach defenses, seting off mines, burying pillboxes, and creating holes in which Bonstocknian invaders can take shelter. Some go further inland, destroying troop convoys, trains, and trucks. Simultaniously, paratroopers of the 6th Airborne attack Haeju city from the north. The defenders put up a stiff resistance, and bloody battle ensues. The 9th, slightly north of the carnage, secures roads to the city so no enemy troops can pass. One brigade also goes to teh airport to secure it. They face many casualties. So far, 454 Bonstocknians are dead, unknown numbers wounded or missing.

Frank, still looking for his unit, walks along a road, hoping it leads to where he was supposed to be. He sees burned out trucks and dead bodies along the way. A young woman wails by what seems to be a small bag. Frank kneels over the woman, who starts punching and kicking and screaming. Though it is evident that she is weak, her blows are nothing upon the well fed Bonstocknian GI. Knowing that he could not shoot the woman, Frank instead knealt beside her and looked in the bag. He was disgusted to find the remains of a dead baby, strewn about, probably died in an airstrike. The woman still wailed, and Frank crouched beside her, and put his head on her shoulder, and said "Im sorry." in the best Korean he could speak. Though he knew there were pronunciation difficulties, the woman turned to him seeming to understand, then said something he could not understand, and then continued to wail. Frank, deep in thought now, put his arm around her, then, with a sad look on his face, he left. He thought to himself Why am I doing this? Is this right?

40 SOET drive their vehicles over a hill and come upon their target: Wonsan. They ditched their stolen vehicles and the squads moved into the seaport.

Two were talking over their com channels.

"So, what happens after we secure this?"
"The troops out with the fleet come in and support us. Tanks, infantry, the usual."
"That's it?"
"Pretty much, yeah."
"Okay, and with all the hostility on the west, there won't be much resistance here."
"Yeah, We'll be back home before we know it."
"Heh, yeah."

A voice crackels in over the conversation.

"There is to be radio silence from here on in! Got it?"

"Crap. Yeah, we forgot."

"Don't let it happen again."

The two soldiers hurried to catch up with their squad.

“Bring us to five knots, load tubes two and four with Harpoons. Load Mk50 torpedoes in tubes one and three.”

“Tubes two and four with Harpoons, one and three with Mk50s, Aye Commander.”

Lauren walked over to the sonar, Captain Mako was standing in the back of the conn taking it all in. She looked at the bulkhead screens, looking at the position of the two Destroyers, now 8,000 yards from the exit of the channel. It is time to do this now, she thought.

“Conn, weapons, the firing solution is now reconfigured.”

“Weapons, flood tubes one through four.”

“Aye, Commander.”

“Tubes flooded.”

“Open the doors.”

“Doors opening, Commander.”

“Conn, sonar. I think they hear us. The first destroyer is increasing speed….making turns for fourteen knots.”

“Bring us to 75 feet. Increase bubble to two degrees.”

“Increasing bubble two degrees.”

“Fire tubes two and four at targets Zeta 1 and Zeta 5.”

“Firing!”

“Fire tubes one and three at targets Zeta 1 and Zeta 5.”

“Mk50s, firing.”

“We are at 75 feet, Commander.”

“Both targets hit! Hull tears. Engines are dying, flooding noises! They are going down, commander.”
“Fire VLS tubes, launch at targets Gamma one through twelve.”

“Launching Cruise Missiles.” The ship rocked as the powerful vertical launch Juliet-IV Sub-launched Cruise Missiles fired from their modules at the Helicopter pads and at the fuel-depot.

“Conn, Sonar, targets sinking!” (OOC: This isn’t god-moding because I already spoke to North Korea about this)

“Captain, what do we do next.”

“Where are those frigates?”

“They left south a long time ago, and the Heli-Pad should be destroyed by now.”

“Bring us up to periscope depth, Let’s take a look at the confusion.”

“But, sir, what if they have more ASW Helos hanging around?”

“Use the stinger Missiles?”

“Good point, Captain.” Lauren never thought about that. “Shall we turn around sir?”

“How deep is the water out of the channel?”

“50 feet, sir.”

“Hmmm, that means if we were to turn around outside the channel, we would need to pretty much expose ourselves and floor it.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Well, let’s take a look at the damage, and then we shall commence with a short exposure and get out.”

“Are you certain, sir?”

“Yes, I am certain. You know the orders.”

“Periscope up, let us have a look-around at the chaos we have caused.”

Beta Strike Wing – Kusan
---------------------------------------------

The 96 F-111 Aardvarks were now approaching their main targets. SAM and Anti-Aircraft guns were arming and firing. Already, four of the fighter/bombers were taken out. The primary goal for this mission was to destroy the troop garrison north of Kusan Harbour, hurdling the Allied landings from a complete success. The tropical savannah climate this time of the year meant provided good visibility for the fighters, now preparing to drop their laser-guided bombs.

Gamma Squadron was to start the initial attack, by running through over the anti-air weaponry with their 500 lb bombs. Followed by Beta Squadron, make a run on the motor vehicles. Then Gamma was to turn around and strafe running troops. The rest of the fighters were to take out what was left of the base, rendering it completely useless. Omega Squadron was armed with Gas-Canister Bombs, which were to wipe out any infantry concentrated resistance remaining.

Echelon Squadron was the only squadron left with its armament after the initial attack, its purpose was to take out three city blocks that harboured enemy command. The M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle Motor-Rifle Division that was already offloaded by the heavily damaged transports, one of which was keeled over on the dock, would follow their focused attack. Echelon Squadron Commander had a clear view of the fighting, smoke reigned high over the city, it was the opposite spectrum from the clear-skies, which the rest of Beta Strike Wing’s path to ultimate devastation of the Korean Army’s Garrison. “Commander, we have enemy lighting us up!”

“I see it. Break up, fly low. DO NOT strike the allocated path of the 2nd Motor Rifle Marines.” An echo of ‘acknowledged’ came through over the radio.

“Commander, Migs at 5 o’clock!” Two Migs were making strafing runs over by the docks, but away from the Marine’s advancement. What the hell are they doing? Are our forces taking another route?

“Break into two bomber formations, we make our runs individually and ordered. Then we get the hell out of their way!” Once again, the squadron replied in agreement.

North Korean soldiers began firing their AK-47s and 74s at the Aardvarks, a few of them hitting. Dings were heard on nearly everybody’s plane. All of a sudden, a North Korean soldier stood out on a high building, with a long tube. A cloud of smoke exited the back as a small rocket projectile advanced towards the oncoming flight. The projectile passed by the Commander’s plane, everyone rolled to avoid it, but Echelon 7 had a rudder problem because of the ensuing machinegun fire. He tried to break off high, but the Handheld SAM hit the left wing sending the plane to a crash into a water tower.

In the north, the alarms rang loudly in the Garrison, as Gamma Squadron dropped 48 bombs over the heavy machine-gun and Anti-Aircraft locations. They converged back into four delta formations. Beta Squadron hit the deck and dropped their arms over the motor pool and fuel depot. A black tower rose of the camp, blowing south, each fighter began a patrol around the perimeter and armed their jammers, enclosing the area with a high-powered signal preventing any mobile SAM systems to accurately get a hold of the fighters. Troops began to pour out of the weapons depot with their assorted rifles and Handheld SAMs, some of them had RPGs awaiting the much-expected armoured advance.

The rest of the 7 squadrons involved in this attack began their attack, finishing with Omega which dropped air-fuel-canisters over the base, creating a conflagration. Beta Commander flew around the base in a circular manner, fire rose from any remaining structure, bodies were scatter all over the cleared area. Trucks were overturned, and sandbags blown all over the base. What was once an ordered chaos of soldiers scrambling to defend their country, became a tormenting flame, which now symbolized the power of allied forces.

Beta Wing Leader checked with each squadron commander, eight bombers lost in total, eight lives for the hundreds that died before him, and the hundreds still suffering even after the final air-fuel attack. A base destroyed, the Echelon Squadron had completely obliterated their target, making way for the 400 assorted armoured vehicles, which were now getting to their target, which would act as a base of operations for defence of the Kusan Advancement.

Eight fighters downed, an entire North Korean base destroyed, and a whole three city blocks wiped out in order for more death, the Wing Commander turned back towards base, now entering Fighter coverage from the 2nd Pacific Attack Fleet.

The fleet pauses its barrage for a moment. Then, 5,000 landing craft of various Bonstocknian and Oglethorpian orgin crowd the area. The shore is still battered, though there is detirmined resistance as the landing craft reach the shore. Though most of the craft are antiquated and recovered from junkyards, they do their job well. The first wave lands. Shells go off everywhere. A ship is hit, and starts to sink. The twently men aboard climb off teh craft and wad to shore. Around them, other landing craft pull up to shore. One however, does it right in front of a machine gun nest. As troops scurry out, they are shot. Only 3 survive by taking shelter behind a barracade. Planes scream overhead, having just unleashed their barrage. Mines go off, and more Bonstocknians die in the carnage. By the time the second wave lands, 104 Bonstocknians are dead, many wounded and in need of medical attention. Soldiers cry "MEDIC!!" as the fire cuts them down. Then Bonstocknian soldiers launch a daring assault on the surviving pilboxes. Enveloping them from behind, they catch the defenders off guard, and send granades in. Most resistance soon collapses, and 100,000 Bonstocknian troops make their way to Haeju to help the paratroopers. Meanwhile, Bonstock plans on shipping out the 1st and 2nd Armored Division, along with the 4th Infantry Division. A total of 8 divisions will be commited to battle, and may soon be supplanted with more divisions to aid them. I will up the total troops commited to 400,000, of which 100,000 are now in the combat zone, the others awaiting landing.

Yes. I will have 65,000 troops in the West after I land my primary assault.

The paratroopers were inserted much more quickly, but I only have 8 divisions of them.

After I get my troops on land and secure Ongjin, I will begin flying in supplies and tanks as well as running submarine patrols of the Yellow Sea to ensure the safety of the Ongjin-Raeju waters since it's a major staging area if all goes well.

Fool! You have not been invited in this war, everyone else who has posted here has been invited either by alliance or NATO. You butted in, and you flooded NK with attacks. This is not the type of war we wanted. We want a long war, you have done 4 operations in the last 12 hours RL.

You have screwed up a lot Logistically, we had three operations planned that now require rethinking due to your "butt in". Namely the Naval Attack.

Perhaps you did not know this, but the 1st Indian Ocean Fleet is 67 ships large, that is only counting the capitol ships from Corvette up...not counting the gun-boats, the radar ships, the support craft. This fleet is also backed by the 4th Pacific Patrol Fleet. We have well over 130 ships in the Yellow Sea...and each one has a planned RP role.

Let me say this again:

...a planned RP...

It was only 22 hours since Ongjin had already been pummled with missile strikes and now were in the hands of the foreign army..citizens of Ongjin had poured in the thousands, many of them shooken with fear and mourning in grief over their loved ones who perished...Ongjin was now in the hands of the enemy, Colonel Soon was in one of the command bunkers when he heard that the foreign troops had seized the city, his frustration and stress only grew, but he kept his tempermant from getting the best of him.

"..Have we been discovered as of late?...And how are the defenses coming through?"

"So far..we mananged to stay out of the enemy's noses..The western block is still being secured but other than that our defenses in this city are at top condition as they can ever be, Colonel." Soon arose from his desk and began making his way to the entrance door, leaving his staff officers to continue on planning and making communications between other surviving relay posts..

Southern Korean Bay; 3rd Fleet (PDRK loyalist)

OOC: For NK, Commodore is for sea commanders and Kommodore is used for various air commanders.

By now, Commodore Sae and the others had spotted the enemy vessels and were confirmed of being hostile intent. He ordered for a spearhead deployment which would then spread itself into a two prong in hopes to bombard the vessels from two sides.

"Commodore, Captain Yuske from the Ze Dong." Sae grabbed the speaker, "This is Commodore Sae speaking, what is it Captain Yuske?"

"Are you sure it is wise for us to go head on with just us..Commodore? We should at least wait for the remain-.." Sae cut him off with his own response,

"We cannot comply to that Ze Dong, as of now the rest of the 3rd Fleet is on standby for potential engagement of what appears to be a USSNK fleet..We're the only fleet detachments on the west waters that aren't docked, the other ships are right now being prepared to launch.."

"Very well Commodore.." With that, the radio clicked. Sae turned to his navigator, "Nav..how long before we reach firing range of this ships?"

"Approximately 110 km and closing sir.."

"Get me communications with the other ship captains.."
Two minutes later
"Attention all captains in the 2nd Detachment, this is Commodore Sae speaking...As you all know, our nation is in a war of division and survival, not far from us is the navy of a foreign aggressor...what occurs on the ground will very well be determind how we conduct at sea, we will..we must! commit as much damage as possible! You all are aware of our intitial attacks, prepare your guns to fire as soon as within range, make to turns from the enemy unless under my command..Full speed ahead!"

The indirect order spurred all sailors in all of the ships to cry out a near unified battle cry as they rushed onto to their positions and duties. The warships speared through the water as fast as their turbines would allow, their guns raising, phalynx cannons becoming online...this was the moment Sae had awaited for, no longer would the enemy ships be attacking anchored vessels or ground bases, they would face an active navy determined to fight to the last ship and artillery shell...The true battle for the Pacific waters was now to begin...

Also, do not forget about the Nampo harbour Attack, and the F-111 attack.

The massive fleet of Harakian aircraft peels away from their route, steering North, quickly coming into range of the Southernmost airbase.

"1 volley, troops. Repeat, one volley."

8 Air Wings of Long-Range Missile Bombers fired 1 missile each. 760 missiles streaked towards the airbase.

Ruhr is right. We need to secure more air bases rather than destroy them.

If we get access to a decently sized runway I can begin flying in more troops and tanks.

If we get the acclaimed airstrip I can fly in 760 small 42-ton tanks for defense of the Ongjin area.

Moore was CO of the 1st Airborne Division; they could see Ongjin from their position on the outskirts of the city, and it was maybe two or three miles away. "Men, we're under strict orders of radio silence, so first, we're going to have to stick together and two, if we see any defenes, get back to me, and quick," Moore stated. "Why?" asked a curious paratrooper. "We've got two submarines 800 miles from Ongjin ready to blast what ever defenses we pick out with a Tomahawk."

"Oh," replied the soldier.

"Be on the lookout, men," said CO Moore. "We're going to move one more mile towards the city and plot out the best point of entry into Ongjin," Moore said.

- MILITARY COMMAND ROOM, SOMEWHERE IN OGLETHORPIA

Third meeting of Oglethorpian generals and military advisors. The room is dimly lit, and the Prime Minister sits before his trusted military officials awaiting news on latest developments in the theatre of operations. General Matthews is the first to begin his report of developments. "Sir, the most urgent of all news we have recieved; Korean ships spotted off of the Haeju-headed convoy are headed fullbore towards the ORS Harrison."

"Damn," the Prime Minister said. "Well sir, the kind of speed they're making is a dead giveaway to the exact make and speed of the ships. By the time they get their the hunter-killer ORS Thirteen and Captain Blankenship will be lying in wait," the General said. "Sir, our men will probably be able to deal with it. You do know that those troop carriers have 4 Super Cobra combat helis and 6 Harriers," Defense Minister Sam Hedland said.

"No, but it's definitely good news," Prime Minister Maximillian Bjorn said.

4:03 AM, OGLETHORPIAN TIME
- ABOARD THE SSN ORS THIRTEEN

Captain Blankenship had been alerted by sonar of the 8 contacts headed his way. As it was Thirteen's first combat situation, all of these were designated as En. 1-8, Silent Sirvice sonar contacts. Blankenship lay in wait. No one would know ORS Thirteen was beneath them with the kind of noise they were making at "full speed ahead." Fire control then alerted the Captain to current status. "Sir, Mk. 48 ADCAP torpedoes loaded into all tubes." "Open outer doors," Blankenship said back. "Opening outer doors, aye," fire control replied.

As soon as En. 1 and 2, the destroyers entered the Mk. 48s range of 30,000 yards, Blankenship gave the order to launch torpedoes from tubes 1 and 2. "Preferably, have those hit those destroyers in the ass," Blankenship said. "Hit 'em where it hurts. Make 1 and 2 ready for launch again. 2 more Mk. 48s," he said. We've still got 20 left, he thought to himself with 2 loaded and 2 more to be placed into tubes 1 and 2.

Blankenship waited to see what happened to sonar contacts En. 1 and En. 2.

Wonsan Port Harbor, North Korea

Order of Highest Priority from Central Command:

Your announcement of enemy attacks has been received and it is from the highest authority from within Central Command and the Korean Defense Ministry that all forces at the Wonsan habors retreat to Yodok, where Commander Young has set up the city's defensive fortification. Inform the remaining troops to destroy any valuable material that cannot be carried and then to withdraw as immediately as possible.

Lt. Commander Wae had already given the orders for everyone to withdraw to Yodok, seeing various ammo/vehicle storages go up in flames as the troops carried out command's scortched earth policy. He would live to fight another day....if it hadn't been for the explosion within his office as a squadron of six MiGs fly pass, strafing any PDRK troops that they happened to get in their crosshairs.

----------------
Response to Ruhr, concerning Kusan:

Jong closed his eyes in fear as he heard the screams of a F-111 pass overhead the area twice...Jong was part of the 14th Maintenance Engineering Detachment stationed at Kusan, his unit were composed of men who held knowledge anywhere from cruiser mechanics to plane/tank maintenance. He and a few others were at Maeju Airforce Base when loud explosions errupted at the Kusan Port Harbor where most of the 14th were at. He was relieved when he saw MiGs coming in from the east..that is until some of them started dropping bombs on the airfield, turning all the planes into burning heaps as well as bodies riddled with bullets.

...Please..please...please Was all he could think as the noise of the F-111 continued to scream into his ear..but what did it matter?..Those of the 14th along with most everyone were dead..undoubtedly the others were dead...his brother...his brother was at Kusan along with his father...he had lost hope, sooner or later he would die..

Jong slowly stood up from his cover and walked out to the open fields as the fires and smoke dominantly covered the roadways, he looked at one ofthe F-111s circling about so he waved his hand to get the pilot's attention...Hopefully he sees me.. Jong thought, planning on having the pilot just gun him down while he was in sight..

The Flight Commander continued back on course, even after seeing the soldier waving his hands in the air. The hell did he want? Well, if he wanted me to kill him, I am sure what is left of the Korean Forces will take care of that. Just then, two Migs flew out from over the deck and took out two fighters from Gamma Squadron. Quick to react, the Commander turned hard right and trailed the two with his gun. He shot one down, and he led the other to the Transports at the Dock who were mopping up the air with their SAMs. The Sea-Sparrows took it out with ease. Serves him right, damnit.

"Be on the lookout, men," said CO Moore. "We're going to move one more mile towards the city and plot out the best point of entry into Ongjin," Moore said.

Meanwhile, Oglethorpian Paratroopers in Ongjin...

CO Moore had moved them within a half mile of the city's border, the company split up on either sides of a rural road going into Ongjin. Moore looked across the street to Fitzgerald; one of his officers, also crouched on the ground with his SiG-550 in hand. All the men were silent, save for murmurs which illicited an angry hand movement from Moore.

Fitzgerald pointed a block in front of him, looking back at Moore for approval. The CO gave him a knod, as Fitzgerald looked to his left and motioning for 4 more soldiers to come over to his position. In their crouch they crawled over as he remotioned their destination. Fitzgerald, leaning against a lone building peered around the corner, assault rifle in hand; seeing no danger he ran across the street and into a bleak, generic concrete building; all it's windows had been blown out.

The bombing run had really done a number on Ongjin. Fitzgerald once more cleared the area and motioned for the 4 paratroopers to follow suit across the street.

In this fashion the paratroopers plowed their way into the city, Moore coordinating silent commands as to where his men should split up.

The next block seemed like a routine progression into Ongjin; Fitzgerald ran across the street, signiling to Moore from a second story that all was clear; the CO began crossing the street; nearly in the building he heard a loud pinging sound and Moore fell over. Soldiers from a building just down the street ran over, their CO laying in Fitzgerald's building.

"Commander, what happened?" asked one of his men. "I don't know...but I think my helmet just saved me," CO Moore said. He got up, brushing himself off.

“Sir our forces are deployed, nothing will enter or leave the port of Nampo without us knowing. Moral is high and there has only been one minor technical break down in one of our subs, apparently the buoy wench jammed when the W.T. Cole was running an emergency action message training exercise. They were forced cancel the exercise and run above water until it was fixed, but Captain Kinsley reassures me that they have the situation well in hand.”

“Well that is reassuring, have our DAT II satellites make double rounds over Nampo, it will be helpful to know what they are going to do about our naval blockade, I doubt that they will have the man power to do much of anything right at this moment, I mean this is really nothing compared to what the North faces from the Ruhr navy. You may begin the bombardment, shell the buildings, but do not completely destroy them, if we invade the port, they may prove invaluable. I’m due to address the press in half an hour, so you will have to excuse me Supreme Commander Vladimir. ”

“Yes of course High Chancellor, good luck with your speech.”

July 25, 2003 0533 hours. Aboard the Flagship Frostreaver under the command of Admiral Kane, 30 knots outside the Korean port city of Nampo.
:::GMT+9:::
(Delta Time)

“Admiral Kane, we have received conformation to start the bombardment.”

“Excellent, sound the general quarters alarm! Communications, connect me to the captains of all our destroyers and cruisers, I’ll take it in my ready room. Armsmaster, prepare the ColdStorm barrage, and deck guns. Target any SAM sites or Anti-Air Facilities with the deck guns first, alert me when you have completed this task.”

“Aye, Aye Sir!”

The door to Admiral Kane’s Ready room closes; he looks up at his monitors and sees the captains of the various ships awaiting his orders.

“You have all be given sectors to target, remember that you do not have to destroy the manufacturing facilities, just damage them enough so as to severely impair production. Civilian targets are, as always, out of bounds. I’m uploading current satellite pictures, taken 20 minutes ago, for each of your given sectors into your mainframes. You will notice the highlighted areas are SAM or AA sites, it is most effective to launch a shell barrage at these first before launching a ColdStorm attack. If you do not, the SAM sites will knock most of your birds out of the sky before they reach their targets. If you site any enemy aircraft signal the carriers and they will scramble their fighters. Do you understand?”

The captains chime in at once, “Aye, Aye Sir!” Admiral Kane wishes them luck and good hunting, the monitors turn black. Admiral Kane emerges from his ready room.

“Sir, we have a condiments lock on four SAM shall we begin the shelling?”

“Make it so Armsmaster.”

“Aye, Aye Sir! Gunners mark your targets and give them hell.”

There is a resounding “BOOM!!!” as the Frostreaver’s, six 20-inch guns unleash a full barrage upon the unsuspecting North Korean SAM sites. After the flagship’s first volley of shells the other ships start their own bombardments. The vibrations are so great that the gunner’s teeth are chattering. The noise is also so loud that no one hears the jet engines start up from the city they are bombarding.

July 24, 2003 2100 hours. The Imperial Palace, Pearl City, White Tundra. The High Chancellor Oscar Reutersvard addresses a large crowd of reporters, dignitaries, military personal, and distinguished gentlemen (big business owners).
:::GMT:::
(Tango Time)

“As most have heard by now, White Tundra has declared war on North Korea in defense of our NATO allies in Ruhr. 15 days ago the supreme council passed a motion to stop all trade with North Korea, and sign a trade embargo with several other nations against North Korea. 10 days ago the supreme council met with all the council members from around White Tundra, and a motion to go to war with North Korea because of their continued hostilities with Ruhr was unanimously passed. Immediately the Third White Tundra Fleet, and the Fourth White Tundra Scout Fleet was sent to the port of Nampo, which makes up a major portion of the economical welfare of North Korea. They arrived yesterday morning, having traveled day and night, and, under Admiral Kane’s supervision, positioned themselves in strategic areas around the port city. Thirty minutes ago Supreme Commander Vladimir informed me that all ships were all in position and are hovering. They were awaiting bombardment orders. At this very moment White Tundra destroyers and cruisers are unloading massive amounts of firepower on Nampo. Any merchant vessel approaching Nampo should immediately reverse course and return to homeport. White Tundra and her NATO allies consider the waters around North Korea a war zone, any breach of these waters will be considered a violation of the Trade Embargo established the 16th of July, 2003 by NATO. Our hearts are with the families of our fighting men and women, may God grant you peace.”

There is a polite applause throughout the hall, and after it dies down and people start to leave the Palace a few reporters approach the podium where the High Chancellor made his speech. They are intercepted by the SS who’s job it is to protect the High Chancellor, but Reutersvard motions to let them through, Supreme Commander Vladimir approaches from behind vast double doors leading to the High Chancellor’s ready room.
“I see that you have a few questions for me,” said Reutersvard to the gathered press representatives, “I shall do my best to answer them. Supreme Commander Vladimir, will you assist me?”

“Of course High Chancellor.”

Excited that they seemed to have caught the two people who in charge of planning the war, together, and in a particularly informative mood, many reporter’s hands shoot into the air. Reutersvard picks a particularly gorgeous blond.

She raises her voice asks, “What are the plans for post war North Korea? Do you plan to completely take it over and annex it to White Tundra? Or release it to South Korea? Is Ruhr going to hold on to it after all is said and done?”

“This is a good question, and I’m sure this is what was on most of your minds,” says Reutersvard, “before we can worry about post war North Korea, however, we have to worry about wartime North Korea. This is not going to be a simple push over. The North Korean Military is quite dedicated, it is very doubtful they will surrender. However to answer your question miss, No we are no interested in colonizing North Korea or annexing any part of North Korea to White Tundra. As far as I can tell South Korea is staying completely out of this situation, I hardly think they are interested in their Northern counterparts. Ruhr too, I believe is not interested in “conquering” North Korea, they are simply defending themselves. No, I think once this war is over North Korea will be given back to the hands of the people… As a Democracy I might add.”

Many other reporters raise their hands waiting for a chance to get their questions answered, but Reutersvard clears his throat and says “ that is all for now, we will keep the press posted when new events arise, thank you.” Reutersvard and Vladimir stroll off through the massive double doors, which close behind them.

July 24, 2003 0600 hours. 50 knots outside Nampo harbor, North Korea. Aboard flagsubmarine Nautilus, Fourth Navel Recon Group, under the command of Commodore Sue Yong Kim.

“Sounds like they have started the shelling, doesn’t it executive officer?”

“Aye, sir it does, no one in that city will be able to hear anything after they are done with’em. Mark my words someone will find fault with us using so much force so early on in this war.”

“You think so, eh? Well, if we did not hit them first, do you think anything would be left to hit them back after they were done with us?”

“You’ve got a sharp mind laddy, guess that’s why you’re the Commodore, and not I.”

“Sir, torpedoes 1000 meters off our aft!”

“Launch countermeasures…NOW!!”

“Countermeasures away, sir!”

“Sir, we are through the hole.”

“Com, Sonar, the fish are taking the bait!”

There is a great blast as thousands of tons of water is displaced as the North Korean torpedoes hit the countermeasures. The blast is so great, that the already weak, eroded walls of the mountain start to crumble. A large boulder hits the Nautilus just as she escapes from the area.

“Com, Control, all stations damage reports!”

“Com, weapons, no problems here.”

“Com, Sonar, we lost the contact. She is either sunk or buggered off sir.”

“Com, Engineering, we have a gash along our portside half way through the mess hall. The officer of the galley was able to seal the water tight doors before it became a major problem. Nothing we can’t fix when we are above water, sir, but I suggest we don’t dottle we should get to the surface as soon s possible.”

“Officer of the watch, break surface, take your time. No need to stress the engines anymore then the already have been.”

“Aye, Aye sir!”

“Com, Sonar, we’ve lost’em sir.”

“Contact the rest of the Fourth let them know we have at least one rouge submarine running around these parts, maybe more. When we break surface patch me through to Admiral Kane, on the Frostreaver, so I can make my report directly to him. Ummm....White Tundra. I do not see why you need to allocate soo many forces there. My submarine, the Hamburg, has blocked the only channel with the destruction of two destroyers AND they launched VLS Juliet-IV Sub-Launched Cruise Missiles at supply depots, helipads, and fuel depots. Nothing is coming in or leaving.

Plus, I have 67 warships in the Korean Bay alone, not counting all of the support ships, the Oglethorpian Ships, and my 3rd Pacific fleet diverting all traffic in the Korea Bay itself.

Sorry, Tiburon.

You said you were going to withdraw from this war. If you do, this would mean a sever in international relations.

I have already planned an incursion for a squad (about 50 or so) of your mobile suits. The top eastern corner of North Korea, holds a division of troops. Roughly 10,000 regulars. These troops must not be allowed to exit that corner to interfere with Operation Doorhinge.

Multiple boats land in Wonsan. They open their doors and 10,000 troops pour out. Their commanders meet with the SOET in Wonsan for intelligence on the surrounding area holds.
*******

"Well, sir, our next target is this airport to our south-west. If we take that, we can bring in supplies and have a place for our P-51S'* to stage from."

"Very good, and soon our JOAPs will be landing. This will be an easy fight. Had much resistance?

"No sir, they have allocated most of their troops to the fighting on the west coast. We'll just swing into their backs and the war will be over."

"Roger that."

*******

One figure, bearing the rank of Attack General (we have dif. ranks in SO) plays an announcement across the frequencies of all troops head coms.

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, you are now members of the first ever invasion onto foreign soil by Sigman troops. Congratulations. Now, just set up a perimeter around Wonsan and we'll be fine. We will be shipping out soon, once we get some armor behind us."

He turned off his head com and walked towards a nearby jeep. The jeep sped off once he entered it.

Li Tania,

I thank you for your assitance in this conflict. We are in dire need of troops. As soon as the port Kusan and the Onjin is opened up, we will be sending troops in rapidly.

I apologize for my absence in posting war stuff this weekend. We are working on a schedule for posting. North Korea will post next in the battle, then it will be me/NATO. I will have one tonight, as that is the time North Korea should be back from his short excursion.

I ask that you send your troops to the Eastern Coast of North Korea, from there we will be staging an attack.

P.S.- This war has been planned between Oglethorpia, North Korea and I...so we know what is going on...the rest do not. Before you start an engagement, I ask you bring it up with me first and then we will arrange it to flow with the war. If you need any help or information, feel free to contact me.

More boats land at the docks and open their doors. Several JOAP tanks and multiple other vehicles, ranging from hum-vees to deuce-and-a-halves rolled out. The troops that were assigned to loaded up in their respective vehicles, while the rest walked. Among the vehicles were several buggies with equipment for the SOET in Wonsan.

The SOET sped out of Wonsan in their buggies, while the rest of the troops stayed back and began making a more permanent HQ.

Plus, possibly a terrorists group inside Ruhr is working to try and bring you in against Ruhr so they could rise up in the confusing aftermath of an invasion and take over, something they will have been wanting.

You are up against a lot of troops when you step foot on Ruhr.

Not only do you have to get through my advanced fleets, but then you have to get through our defence grids. Then you have to get through the troops we have in Ruhr (about 8 Million right now, that is army alone)...then you have to get through NATO's backup forces (over 200 Million regulars available).

Also, if you Role-Play with a present-plus country, you must also Role-Play as if you are present-plus. That means you can't have a space fleet attack, or a anti-grav fleet.

It means you get: Planes, Tanks, Boats.

Good. Terms are agreeable. Danya isn't in space yet, although we export many space ships. We will not use them.

Wait... if the war is members only, then I should leave...

You are NATO, , we Sigma, Haraki, and I voted you in without your knowledge...so that if this happened, you are in.
30-07-2003, 23:16
Well... I... uh... don't know what to say...

Should I be honored that you accepted me or pissed that you didn't tell me?

(Ans.: honored. Plus, I gotta go; classes. See ya!)

OOC: First off, holy schnikes! Look at all the activity. Second: If you are not part of NATO (exception to Danya and some others) but wish to participate, first contact Ruhr. He and I will then discuss whether or not to allow you to join. If we both agree, he'll telegram you an acceptance invitation. Other then that..you're nothing but a ruiner. Ruhr..Yes it is my fault..Why? Because I'm a commie bastard..so sue me :? ..erm..so nuke me (up to this point)

OOC: Sorry for not posting a response for this for a while Og. By the way, here are some terms to know for this war.

PDRK: People's Democratic Republic of Korea. The name is contradicting since it is a Communist-ruled state but over the past years has allowed an open market trade (i.e. Ur Trade Pact) as well as giving a few freedoms to its citizens. Current Leader: Premier Kim Il Sueng
USSNK: United Socialist State of North Korea. A political/military regime dedicated to oust the PDRK and replace it with the old iron-fisted Communist rule much like Stalin's Soviet Union. One of its goals, once in power, is to cut off all ties N0rth Korea has within the UTP, a trade organization that NK has most benefitted from for the past few years. Current Leader: Self-proclaimed General Jin Hien Lao
Loyalist: The NK military that is loyal to the current governing body, the PDRK and its leader, Kim Il Sueng.
Regimist/Factionist: NK military that has turned against the PDRK and supports the USSNK.

IC:

Ongjin Main Square

"Regimist soldiers lieutenant?.."

"No...they're different. Most likely the foreign invaders that we heard so much about. Jung, what is our strength at this point?"

"It's bad sir. We have four wounded, three of them unable to fight which laves us ten, eleven if you count the straggler."

"Any contacts?"

"None Lieutenant...We're most likely all that is left in Ongjin." Lt. Jeaki Seok mentally cursed at the situation, continuing to observe the enemy troop movements. They were in a safe distance, hiding behind some rubble of an office building. Five of his men were conducting recon away from his position when they heard footsteps. He gave an order to take cover and not fire but apparently one of his soldiers got edgy and fired an opportunity shot. The rest of his strike force was with him, the five hiding behind some concrete wall, inbetween them was a opened area in clear view of the enemy soldiers.

"Orders lieutenant?..We'll take casualties but then we can make haste without worry of being followed.." Jeaki considered this option but was unsure, his second command, Sergeant Eunsoo Chang, waited for the Lt's reply, ready to charge into a fire fight.

"Eunsoo...You have served as my second command for five years..are you doubtful of my decisions?" Eunsoo was a bit confused and taken back by the question.

"N-no sir. You are my..our (referring to the platoon) superior officer ever since it was formed...We must and will take orders from you without much doubt or questions even." Jeaki breathed a heavy sigh for a moment..This is payback in gratitude..Were his last troubling thoughts as he turned to the sergeant to give orders.

"..We're surrendering as captives." Eunsoo wanted to object but kept quiet..figuring his Lt knew what was best to do. Jeaki spoke into his mouthpiece to get the order out to his strike team,

"This is Lt Jeaki Seok. All members of the 134th Striker Team are to strap back their weapons...." He paused a bit, the words difficult to form, "..We are now a PoW group..repeat we are to surrender as PoW's to the enemy troops.." Eunsoo decided to speak to Jeaki once more as if an attempt for the Lt to reverse his decision.

"Are you sure that is wise sir?..Suppose they are Regimist soldiers or they are foreign troops but they kill us on the spot?.."

"Then...all the blame goes to me. I am expected of not being forgiven..Besides, if they are foreigners..then they probably don't know what is going on and we can clear things up for them..." Jeaki and Eunsoo both looked at a man hunched over next to him. The man was deeply fatigued and paranoid, his clothes a bit torn..how he was suggested he wasn't a soldier at all, just some hapless civilian.

Jeaki grabbed a white cloth and tied it to the gun's stock. He raised it slowly, gently waving it to get the attention of the troops. Jeaki then arose from his hiding as did his entire strike team, he then proceeded down the road, his pace slow and calm.

"I am Jeaki Seok of the 134th Infantry Strike Team, 2nd Division. I am hereby surrendering my unit and hand them to your mercy.." Jeaki yelled, expecting that if they were foreign troops that they would have a translator that knew Korean. The trembling man followed closely behind Jeaki, scared of what they would do to him when they found him and who he was.

OOC: Alright, I'm a bit tied up now so I cannot check every attack in my nation. Ogle, Sigma, and Ruhr, since you three are essentially the only ones that are attacking, I will need to know what side you are attacking? (east or west), a list of cities/ports/bases that you have captured, and the same for which ones your forces are currently attacking or are en route to attack (not ones you plan on). I will also need to know what type of forces are attacking the areas (planes/tanks/ground). Also..if I missed responding to any past attacks, please list them as well so that I can post responses and damage reports..I'd hate to know that you wasted a good attack and it just went unnoticed. Thank you..

19:45 SMT; Secret Naval Port in China; Loyalist 1st Fleet

The coastal winds were always the most soothing pleasure to him, the gentle crash of the waves continuing his serene state. He had been standing at the edge for a solid hour, the only movement he made being his blinks and steady breaths. From what he could see was wide area of water with seemingly no end..but that was only what he could see and could only wish. Just a few miles, Ruhrian and other NATO vessels were invading his homeland both from the west and the east...And yet he was doing nothing but standing idly and looking at the damn ocean waters while his fellow men bitterly fighting against each other as well as being slaughtered and driven back by NATO forces. Footsteps became audible within his ears, sounding louder as the owner of them drew closer. The footsteps stopped immediately, the rustle of the uniform suggesting a salute was being made.

"High Admiral Kim Sung Seok?.."

"Captain Yun..How is she?"

"She is all well sir..But I came to ask you about another ma-.."

"So as long as she is well...It is about time we break from our idle state....Wouldn't you agree Yun?" The admiral broke his gaze away from the sea and directly into Yun's own eyes.

"..Inform the others of our preparations for depature. Our orders were to stay put but..I cannot live with myself in knowing our people are dying and we are doing nothing...So I am disregarding those orders and moving the First Fleet into position, I have received a number of reports about the positions of the NATO ships and rumors that the bastard Hae is coming in with his 10th Fleet..if its true, we then go to intercept him to give the death that he deserves for being a traitor to the state..If not, we will proceed immediately in an attempt to break the Western blockade. Contact Admiral Myong and inform him to have the entire 5th Fleet prepped to disembarked under my confirmation...." The high admiral took a momentary pause, Captain Yun merely nodding his head in agreement and understanding before Kim continued, "..And have her prepped for depature, I want everything and everyone off of this facility."

"Of course High Admiral..Will she be sent sent to another location?"

"Another location?..Are you kidding?, she is coming along with us.."

"B-but sir, she will be in great harm if w-.."

"I'll have none of your complaints! She is coming along with us, no questions asked!.." Kim readjusted his outfit, Captain Yun restrained himself from further objections, accepting the High Admiral's orders with full compliance. He saluted Kim again before departing to relay his orders to the other captains and crews. Leaving Kim alone again for the time being to gather all and contemplate his thoughts....Soon we will set for the oceans of war together for the first time..And rest assured, it will not be our last..

21:09 SMT; Pyongyang, North Korea; Underground Command Bunker

By now..nearly everything that was once in order was now in collapse. All over, people were flooding from one city to another as both NATO and Regimist forces made their presence known. Incredibly, a majority of the people did not bend toward the USSNK's will as Jin had hoped, they stuck with the PDRK, seeing Jin and his ideals as equal in abscure and absurd. In the East, NATO forces began their invasion landings within now USSNK-held territory, with exceptions to a few divisions/bases holding out against assaults from both forces. In the West, still majorly in control by the PDRK, military forces were taking a beating as repeated incursions by Regimist troops and increased bombardment by NATO ships/planes forced commanders to withdraw their units. Pyongyang now lay within a few travel distance for NATO forces, nearly half of the remaining Loyalist ground forces stationed at Pyongyang.

Premier Kim Il Sueng sat at the table along with a few of his political advisors and military commanders. The situation seemed grim as to the fact that his nation was being overrun, the Yongbyon silos, the Loyalist's only readily capable missile silo, were rendered offline with the ATLAS silos under Regimist control. Both his political and military advisors strongly supported in the idea of making a firm stand in Pyongyang and fighting to the bitter man..but the Premier was unsure of himself, he needed careful planning and not desperate throw-outs.

Generaly Hyun sat at the opposite end of the table, himself being quiet the whole time as the others verbally battled against one another in policies and tactics. Oddly enough, the politicians were suggesting military campaigns whilst the military buffs were arguing over foreign/domestic policies. Seeing as he had enough of the quarreling squabbles, Hyun arose from his desk and coughed, getting the attention of nearly everyone in the room. When he was sure everyone at the table was listening, he spoke,

"Now is it me..Or should are the talks really starting to divide us all?..Now, while my colleagues.."He looked at his fellow commanders, "have decided to enter the fields of politics and vice versa for the advisors, I have been thinking through of a series of plans that are based on the latest intelligence on enemy positions..." He took a momentary gaze at the Premier, his eyes showing that he was deeply interested, seeing as such, he continued, "..As you all know our forces are in complete disarray, we've been able to reestablish some order and even drive out a few Regimist forces..but our new primary threat are the confirmed NATO forces that are steadily approaching..If they continue their progress at this rate....Hmm..I'd say that they will be within ground strike of Pyongyang within a matter of days."

"But we are all well aware of that 'General'..the question is what is your proposed plan?.." Hyun looked at the political advisor who dared interrupt his speech but merely continued on, "Ah yes..my plan. Seeing as how our forces are still a bit disorganized, taking into circumstance the proximity of NATO forces, I have but one solution for our Premier and our people...to some of you, it may seem cowardice and even a sense of making me seem like a sort of traitor but..."

"You aren't suggesting.." One of the other general's exclaimed..his voice filled with horror and astonishment. Hyun merely nodded to conclude the general's unfinished statement, "..Yes, the plan requires for the Premier to issue a complete evac of all civilian and military personnel from Pyongyang to the Yangdok.."

"Perposterous!"..."Coward!"..."You madman!" These were just some of the remarks he heard from fellow commanders and advisors within the room. The voices boomed once again this time with an increase of anger, most of which directed at General Hyun for his proposed plan. The Premier had his hands folded and his eyes closed as if trying to forget what was going on before him. His eyes opened and he suddenly slammed both his hands on the table, the room became instantly quiet, all, with exception to Hyun and a few others, staring at Kim with amazement.

"The General is right!..Staying here is a request for a suicidal stand. We'd only show how noble we are when we die. It is better for us to regroup, replan, and reorganize..that is how our former brothers in '50 and '51 did it and dammit it worked!...If we allow ourselves to regain proper compsure, we can launch strategies that will stall and even drive back various NATO held positions. General Hyun, I approve of your plan..I hereby request a full evac to be in order for all civilians and soldiers in Pyongyang to gather as much as they can and and prepare to be realocated to Yangdok.." The words of opposition died in the tongues of many as Kim Il Sueng finished his statement, the voices now replaced with calm, seemingly subjigated compliances and understanding.

Ruhr, I am ready to bomb whenever and wherever you need me, the aircraft carrier filled with F22's, F-60's which bomb and air dominate, and A-10's are in position, as well as the three destroyers and 2 supply ships are ready. Let me know.

Hey, NK. What's in the Airport near Wonsan? I have forces en route there now.

OOC: The airport has a few civilian crafts left and two MiGs left behind in a locked military storage facility. There is a Loyalist garrison of 20 troops there, they've been trapped within that airport for a few days because of heavy fighting and recent NATO bombing runs..they're making plans on an escape out of Wonsan completely and to go back to Majol-li.
