Shawn finally crawls all the way to his DE. He starts to pick it up.......
"Cut me, dammit. I'm open"
Dom extends his arms exposing his chest.

Nine looked warily at Dom. He looked at Shawn, and pulled out the silenced MP5. He fired one shot at the Deagle, sending it skittering further along the pavement.
"No, I insist, old friend, make the first move."
Shawn starts to crawl in the direction of Maria, Odin, and Nikki.
Dom sees Shawn crawling towards the house and looks at Nine. He walks towards Nine in the defensive position. Dom then runs and puts his knife out to strike Nine.
Shawn makes his way to the house slowly, hoping he woulnt be noticed.
Don begins thinking.
If I can keep Nine busy long enough, Shawn can make it to the house.
He keeps crawling. He looks up and it looks like hes half way there. He feels like hes going to pass out, but he keeps going.

Nine swiftly moved to the side, and as the knife jabbed past him, he brought his sword upwards, bringing it into Dom's chest in a hard strike, spinning, slashing again at his shoulder as he passed, and ended up behind him.
Dom turns and looks at Nine and looks at the gash on his chest.
"I've been through worse."
Dom makes another run at it this time Dom rolls under Nine in an attempt to cut his legs.
Shawn keeps crawling, tword the house. Hes about 10 feet away. He feels even more like hes going to pass out now....
Dom continues to think while keeping Nine busy.

Nine jumps over Dom, landing a few meters away. He regains a defensive position, and notices a trickle of blood winding down his leg. He puts on an evil grin and waits for Dom to make a move.
Dom slowly gets up and starts clutching his chest wound. Dom becomes exausted from the loss of blood but continues to fight Nine. Dom tries to run to Nine but collapses to his knees and starts breathing heavily.
"Da...mmit."

Maria heads to the kitchen to bring Odin and Nikki some coffee. What she sees outside scares her.

Odin runs towards the window and sees Shawn.

He pulls out his Beretta 32 and runs out the front door. He is just in time to see a man killing another with a katana.
After slamming the man against the car with his powers he points his weapon directly at the man's torso.
"Freeze! Make one false move and I will kill you. Nikki! Help Shawn."

Too weak to speak he coughs up a little blood and passes out.
Dom walks to his motorcycle and attempts to give himself medical attention.

Nine merely looks at Odin and rolls his eyes. He wipes the katana on a tuft of grass sprouting from the concrete, and sheathes it.
"You idiot. Why did you slam me against my own car?" He says, almost laughing. "I'll be back for you, Shawn."
Nine gets into the car, and roars away down the street.
Dom bandages himself and watches the car speed off.
"I'll get him. Just wait and see."

Maria turns to Nikki and Odin.
"I think we might need to get him to a hospital."
Dom opens a compartment on his motorcycle and takes out his Uzi 9mm.
"I'm going to go find him, kick his ass, see if he surrenders. If he doesn't, i'll pump him full of lead."
Dom gets on his motorcycle and rides off in pursuit of Nine.
Shawn couchs up more blood as he lays there knocked out.

Nine sees Dom in his rearview mirror, and stops the car, pulling over to the side of the road. He gets out, and takes out the MP5. He fires in bursts at the approaching figure of Dom's motorcycle, aiming for the tires.
Dom stops his motorcycle and hits the dirt and fires his Uzi at Nine, aiming for the chest.

Nine pulls a backflip and lands behind the car, feeling the heat of the bullets as they whiz past him. He returns fire at Dom, aiming for the head now, as bullets ping off of the Elise.
A bullet grazes Dom's cheek. Blood comes trickling down his face. He takes cover behind a dumpster and continues to fire.

Odin continues to race through the streets. Within minutes he will arrive at the hospital.

A bullet finds a chink in the armor of the car, and pierces the vehicle, grazing Nine's side as it comes out the other side. He grimaces and lets a hand drift down to his side, but it is a minor wound. Nine ducks behind the car and reloads his submachine gun.
"Why are you doing this?" Nine shouts over to him, while slapping a new magazine into his weapon.
"I'm tired of being a criminal. Tired of getting shot, stabbed, cut, almost killed for nothing but almost getting arrested." Dom yells as he readies his Uzi.

"So you weren't that far into it after all. I couldn't pull out now, even if I wanted to. How did you even get into the Elite Guard with a history like yours?" Nine shouts, placing his sights over Dom once more.
"The Elite Guard takes even the most hardened criminals and turns them into Guardsmen, who are no longer criminals. Criminals either join or hang on an oak tree by the neck. Rapists and child killers aren't in the Elite Guard though because they're hung on the spot." Dom shouts as he peeks his Uzi around the corner of the dumpster.

Dom flys out of the way and fires his Uzi at Nine. But not before a huge cut is made on his back.

Dom aims at Nine's torso and fires with full burst. Dom gets shot two times in the right arm.

Nine takes several shots in the chest at close range. He looks up at Dom with shock, then back down to his perforated chest. He smiles evily, shaking off the pain, and lunges once again.
"That stung."
Dom, with one arm inactive, quickly runs backwards firing his Uzi at the same time.
"Take the pain, b----."

Dom notices he only has one bullet left. He aims at Nine's head and fires, trying to make the shot count.

Nine cocks his head to one side, and the bullet whizzes past where his head was a moment before. He smirks, and gets into a defensive position.
"Your move."
Dom throws down his Uzi and puts up his fist. With his right arm broken from two shots to it, he knows it'll be harder. Dom charges towards Nine.

Nine starts to feel the effects of blood loss, but doesn't slow down at all. He jumps toward Dom, windmilling his blade.
Dom jumps to the side and ends up behind Nine. Dom becomes exhausted from blood loss but does not slow down.

Dom throws himself to the ground and attempts to trip Nine.

Nine starts to trip, but flips instead, landing on his feet and resuming a ready posture. He waits for Dom to attack.
Dom gets up and charges towards Nine.

Nine dodges to the side and brings his sword upwards, aiming to neatly slice Dom's good arm at the elbow.
Dom spontaneously jumps behind Nine right before he reaches Nine. Dom swings his ka-bar to Nine's arm holding the sword.
Shawn coughs up more blood as they take him inside.

Shawn's eyes open weakly for about 8 seconds as he says "Ma....Mar..Maria..." His eyes close again and becomes unconcets(SP? :oops: ) again.

Dom begins to try to exhaust Nine to the point where he can't fight, though Dom his exhausted himself, he doesn't slow down and he charges again.
A docter walks out of the operating room, and up to Maria, Nikki, and Odin. "We were able to get the bullet out, but hes in bad shape. he should survie but he woulnt be on his feet for a while." He says.

Dom feels the katana go through the lower part of his back, he goes down to the ground and struggles to get back up.

Dom forces himself up and dodges the katana and stabs the ka-bar towards Nine's abdomen.

The ka-bar enters Nine's abdomen, and he swings the sword at the outstretched arm.
"Ow."
Dom pulls his arm out quickly but gets a deep cut on his upper arm.
"Damn, that can't be good."
Dom attempts to swing the ka-bar at Nine's thigh, hoping to cut the femural artery.

"Of course it's not good. We're slowly cutting each other to ribbons here, it's obviously not good." Nine says, bringing his katana down to block the ka-bar and cut Dom's arm further.
The lower part of Dom's arm gets a small cut. Dom then thrusts his ka-bar towards the upper part of Nine's arm carrying the sword.
"Well, no pain no gain. I'm a living example."

Nine's arm is cut slightly by the ka-bar. He dodges to the side before he is more seriously wounded, and swung horizontally, bringing his katana into Dom's gut.
"That you are." Nine says, managing a small grin.
Dawn begins to break, and the sun shone upon the two fighters, still locked in a battle to the death.
Dom looks down to his abdomen, notices the katana in his gut, looks into Nine's eyes, and laughs. He then thrusts the ka-bar to Nine's gut.
"Good ol' Elite Guard training, can't live without it."

Dom smirks and grabs Nine's katana arm and pushes it out. Dom the quickly makes a thrust to Nine's arm joint between the arm and the shoulder.
"It'll take more than that to kill me."

"Then let's find out exactly how much it takes to kill a Guardsman."
Doms wrist snaps. He pulls it out of its joint and snaps it back in place.
"It'll take alot, obviously it'll take alot to kill you also. I'll fight all day, all night, as much time as it takes to rid you from this world, though."

Dom walks to his motorcycle and pulls out two .45's with alot of ammo.
"We're getting nowhere with knife and sword. Shooting is much quicker, oh and no question, i'll persist in fighting you."
Dom hands Nine a .45.
"Last man breathing wins."

Nine placed the pistol to Dom's head and pulled the trigger.
Dom takes a bullet to the cheek. Dom falls to the ground still concious.

Nine glides into a parking space just outside the hospital, and Nine gets out. He gathered up a couple more clips of ammunition, and walked into the hospital, making sure his weapons were concealed.
"Did a man just come in here with several gunshot wounds, and one serious one to his abdomen? I need to see him." Nine said to a passing doctor.
((Is someone else going to play the docs, or should I do it?))

"Yes he did, but you can't see him, right now." The docter said "Hes still in intensave care. Come back tomarrow, then you might be able to see him."

"Thank you, Doctor." Nine said, walked down the hall, and slipped out of sight.
Nine pretended to meander around the hospital, using techniques he had learned to become nearly invisible, even in the stark environment of a hospital. He made his way to intensive care and slipped inside. After a quick search, he located Shawn's room, and opened the door, no longer making an effort to keep himself concealed. He leaned against a wall and looked over the small group crowded around Shawn.
Dom arrives at the hospital.
"I'm hurting pretty bad here, I need help."
The docter takes Dom, into the operating room with out another word. They begain to work on him right away.
"No problem." He says as he gives Dom some knock out gas, and starts to operate.

Odin pins the man's arms to the wall with his power whilst drawing his beretta.

I wouldn't kill a man in a hospital bed."
He brings his arms down from the wall, and shoves them into his pockets.
Shawn starts to wake up, as this happenes.

"What is your business here? There is still the problem that you tried to kill a police officer. I don't care how many times you have been shot, I'll shoot you some more."

Now, Shawn isn't the smartest guy around, so he went to go and kill the guy who hired me. Pretty good plan, in fact, but he just had to do it like Rambo, and got himself shot up pretty bad. Now, he owes me 250,000 dollars."

Just as the group was leaving the room, two quick, sharp beeps came from the orb, and it's light flashed red for a second before it exploded, blowing out the windows and ripping the door from it's hinges. Nine walked away almost casually as the hospital windows gouted flame. He got into his ruby Elise, and sped away from the flaming hospital, heading out of Assington.
Right?
Shawn watches the room behind him explod, and passes out again.
Dom hears an explosion and hears a car speed off. He runs to the window and sees Nine's Elise speed off. Dom runs to his motorcycle and takes off after Nine.

Nine sees Dom's bike tailing him closely. He hit the handbrake hard and spun around 180ยบ. After a spilt-second pause, he guns the accelerator and heads right for the much more vulnerable motorcycle.
Dom notices Nine heading towards him. Dom lifts the top of the motorcycle and flys over the car.

Odin drags Shawn over to a seat and sits himself and Shawn down.
"I hate assassins."
Odin pulled out his radio and gave HQ a description of Nine and what he was capable of.

Nine's car stops suddenly, and he leans out the window.
"Why do you keep this up!?" Nine yells. "Just get out of my business!"
He throws three flashbangs behind him, and screeches off down a side street.
Dom stops in his tracks confused. When everything's clear, Nine's gone.
"Well, he's gone now."
Dom turns around and rides back.

The Elise's motor purred as it pulled out of the alley, and sped down the street, with no set destination in mind. Anywhere but Assington would do.

IC: Shawn fully recovered and is still seeing Maria. Nine was never seen in Assington again and shortly after, things went back to normal. Odin is still working in the Assington Police Force and hasn't seen Nikki since she had to leave on the morning of the hospital explosion.

This is an excellent thread, and I enjoyed reading it.
Now, this would make a good movie, if we cut out some of the... perhaps a trilogy! Yeah! I can see it now.
