As Datrohan and his two Guardsmen saw the fight Shadow and Karl were mingled in he took his enhanced lasgun and started bringing death to the Ork mob from their right flank...
Lasgun voleys were cutting through the Orks like knife through butter,but Orcs numbers were still huge...But at least the 52nd Tactical had a chance after they were relieved with Major Shadow's troopers...

"Aim carefully lads,we need to spare ammo and try not to hit our own men.."

Sergeant Karl was screaming into the Vox caster trying to get some Emperor damned artillery support. The Sergeant wanted to blast the ork rear ranks to prevent reinforcements and thus cut the Ork attack in half…


The Vox caster was crying into the Vox…. “This is the 52nd Tactical Squad under Sergeant Karl Von Carstein, We need immediate artillery support on the following coordinates. .... ..... ..... ..... We have authorization from the acting Sergeant of this location we need help…”


The Sergeant promptly left the whimpering trooper alone and started firing back into the Orks with his men with a look of apathy. The situation was getting better but if the Orks kept on pushing his men it would not matter that they had support from Major Shadow. They would be overrun or forced to hand to hand combat a Imperial Guardsmen’s worse nightmare against the Greenskin hordes!

Two Orks charged at Shadow with axes held high ,A swing of Shadow bayonet tiprifle sliced through the head of one of the Orks sending the top half flying.The second axe hit Shadow chest armour ,which he simply ignored it as he swung at the lithe Ork smashing the left side of his head with his rifle butt

Major Shadow and his men grimly fought on against the on slort of Orks and in a few hours there would be much more to worry about which would cut to pieces half his men

Shadow stood on top of a ruined Chimera transport. His Hellguns rested against his shoulder as he stared out over the battle between Imperial Guards and the vulgar and hideous orks. Several of his guardsmen flew up into the air

Shadow was blinded and deafen to what was happening around him as he kept on runing while blasting any orks that got into his way with Hellpistol.till he throw the Krak grenade

Seconds later the explosion of the Deff Dread killed a number of orks and sent Shadow flying, till he hits the ground and rolled for abit and caming to a stop near two Females soldiers, where he laid out cold for a while before getting up and looked at them

"you two" he starts to say then looked down at his right arm and left leg to see parts of the Deff Dread sticking out of them

"huh" Shadow then looks back at the pair "well this sucks" he then said before turning to face a group of orks heading their way

"for the love of it why don't you lot piss off" Shadow say as he took off Frag grenade to cook it before throwing it at them

The explosion of the monstrous Ork vehicle was enough to throw Commissar Schultze off his feet, even in the inside of the Salamander. Picking his head up, he had just enough time to realize that the falling hulk that used to be a Killa Kan was coming down right on top of his vehicle.

Acting quickly, Schultze threw the door of the vehicle down and dived out, right as the Ork machine fell right on top of the Salamander, crushing it under his dead weight. The driver, Emperor rest his soul, was still taking off his seat-belt.

Looking on, Schultze could see that the situation was quickly deteriorating. The Imperials were beginning to take casualties as the Orks reached their lines, and fierce hand-to-hand combat was commencing.

Of course, the Orks would never fail to notice the scarlet sash and hat of an Imperial Commissar, and one of them gratefully took the time to rush forward, swiping with it's choppa.

Schultze ducked under the swipe, and brought his chainsword up, slicing it into the exposed flesh of the alien, the teeth quickly working it's way through. Spinning around, he fired off a few lasbolts, gunning down another advancing Ork, who was busy raising it's weapon, some sort of crude gun.

The situation was deteriorating. Something had to be done. Schultze went to his vox-bead.


"This is Commissar Schultze." He began "All units, break off your attack, and regroup at the fortifications. Repeat, break off, and regroup!"

Marie shot her lasgun up into the gaping mouth of an Ork, sending him flying back over the car as she held Lydia's hand to fall back. Bolter rounds pinged in the ground all around them and Marie could hear some wizz past her head. It was good Ork's were such poor shots, or else they both would have probably been dead by now. Marie lead them into a shop with shot-out windows and got them behind some cover.

"This is nuts." She said.

"I followed these two and the Major in here, and afterwards..." he looked outside, "We just sorta got busy...pardon me sir," Kat said, firing a burst before ducking back in.

Lydia meanwhile was trying to control her nerves. Now that the adrenaline from the battle was gone, she was frightened out of her mind. She could still see the green tide coming after them in her mind, like an avalanche, unstoppable and utterly deadly.

The colonel's voice crackled over the vox. "Commissar, report. How goes the push?" The sounds of battle were coming from his location. "Unless you are nearing your goal, I request you head back to my location. The Orks came sooner than expected, and we were forced to retreat back to the fortress."

IC: Commissar Schultze's ducked as oncoming shoota fire smashed into the wall behind him. Pickinh his hand up, he quickly fired back with his laspistol. That is, until, the Colonel's voice crackled into life.

"Colonel." He responded, putting his free hand to his vox-bead. "Initial greenskin figures were way off. They have already advanced into the city, and have had time to bring in some heavy firepower. I've already ordered the troopers to begin falling back."

IC: "Very good, commissar. Gather up as many troopers as you can and fall back to my position. We have gotten some rudimentery defenses up, after we barred the doors, though that won't hold long. See if you can find a way around the Ork horde. Tell me when you are nearing our location."

While he spoke, he was angled in just such a way that he could see a tunnel near the outer wall, which must be important as it had a heavy boltgun sitting in front of it. That was serious firepower, which was Garret's job. As he watched, half listening to the PDF talk about kill scores, two troopers walked out of the opening, arguing with what appeared to be an officer. Then he caught the insignia of the First Mobile Infantry, which was embossed on his flak armor as well.

Tiurabo quickly extricated himself from the PDFers and sprinted over to the troopers, reaching the tunnel entrance just in time to see them turn and go down the tunnel. Just as they did, shells started raining down on the fortress, and the officer shouted a warning. Garret dove inside, just in time to avoid being hit by a crude Ork missile. When the dust cleared he checked himself for wounds and, finding that he was unharmed, fished his aquila from under his shirt and recited the Litany of Devotion. Twice.

Thus calmed, he then got up and went after the two troopers he could still vaguely see moving down the tunnel. Even so, by the time he caught up with them, he was puffing from exertion, due in no small part to nearly being killed.

When Colonel told him to stay put,he was so pissed of and angry,swearing those God damned Orks and trying to come up with a plan to get to the fort and help out his comrades.

Sergeant Porter was the one firing. He had been trying to rejoin his unit when he had come across a group of orks. He had opened fire before they had a chnace to react and kiled two of them before running for his life. He darted around pieces of rubble, keeping the lumbering orks from catching him. periodically he turned to fire off a few rounds.

Datrohan went out of his hideout and came in front of a dirty and f***d up Imperial Sergeant...

"Sergeant,what are you doing in the open,it is dangerous!"

Mark Wallace had been apart of the original Imperial Guard presence on the planet. The had part being that the original Guard no longer existed and Wallace was all that was left, lying in a medical bed in the fort infirmary. He didn't have much memory of the actual battle, but apparently he had been shot twice in the chest by a Slugga. It hurt like a bitch. Thankfully he had been lucky enough to be hurt when they still had medical supplies. He was told that he would probably be in the infirmary for the rest of the of the war. So much to living up to his fathers name. At that moment another group of people went through the doors of the infirmary carrying more wounded. One of the officers stood in front of his bed.

'Where are you hurt?'

'I was shot in the chest sir.'

'Is there any reason you can't move?'

'Sorry, sir.'

'Because last time i checked chest wounds don't stop a man from fighting. Now get out of this bed, get into uniform, pick up a rifle and get out there!'

'But sir.'

'NOW!' screamed the officer almost throwing him off the bed. Wallace knew better than to wait, he knew he shouldn't have even said anything. He ran to his barracks and grabbed his uniform and weapons. As he reached the area between the fort an the walls he ran into something. To his surprise and fright, it was a Commissar.

Sgt Porter looked at the trooper.

He turned round and raised his rifle just as the orks came round the corner. As calmly as if he was on the firing range he started shooting.

Sgt Porter shot three orks in the head before he switched to automatic to provide covering fire as he followed the trooper.

As they got inside a crummbled building Datrohan stoped at the door and quetly said to Sergeant...
"Quickly up the stairs,we need to get on higher ground."

"Hold on," said Porter as they reached the top of the stairs, he unclipped a grenade and tossed it down the staircase. "Right, guardsman, lead on."

As they were climbing they reached the baricaded second floor,Datrohan jumped over a huge crate that was blocking over a door,and the Orks couldnt get over it.

ooc:im trapped in a building 200m meters southwest of the forth and 400 Orks are heading towardthe fort

A few people are stuck outside the fort, and a whole bunch of Orks are assaulting it. There was a big tunnel explosion and I personally just ran into the Commissar. Did i miss anything?

As Datrohan just witnessed the death of a trooper by the hands of an Orc,he responded in anger shooting inferno at the two Orks who were still alive...

Marie lead them into an alley, which aside from a few bullet-ridden Ork corpses, was pretty much clear of any sign of Orkish activity. Marie held Lydia's hand tight as she looked around to make quite sure they were alone before she said. "Um...hey earlier when those guys were flirting with you, you weren't taking them seriously were you? I dunno, but when they were...I felt kinda...jealous you know?"

As he saw the main Ork group fighting in the distance he knew its his chance to get to the fort..
Datrohan quickly ran toward the now opened fort gates and yelled...

"Come on guys cover me!!!"

as he ran through the orkish mob...it was just like a green tide swarming towards the forts...
