Yup. The Black Legion launches another one every once in a while, and it only a matter of time before he manages to unite the rest of the Chaos Legions.

And theres the Black Templars of course. And all the other Chapters occasionally launching one against some world for some reason.

But something on the level of the Great Crusade? Not likely.

What about the Neurons? Their a fairly new addition to this whole thing, plus with the fact that it is unknown whether you can actually destroy a Necron. This could mean bad news for everyone.

They'll be a problem of course, them and the Tyranids. And if I remember right, you have to completely obliterate a Necron, or at least tear it into thousands of pieces for it to be considered 'dead'.

Personally, I think that the Orks will get slaughtered. They may have a lot of guys, but compared to what the Tyranids can get...*Shrugs* I think damn near the whol galaxy is fucked if the 'Nids ever decide to throw everything they have.

The thing about the Ork's is that they were designed to adapt to the most hostile environments, thats why they don't rely on technology that much. They don't need it. They basically evolve really quickly physically. Thats why its a big concern that if the Orks come out on top, there going to be half Tyranid and have access to Tyranid tech. If the Tyranids come out on top there going to be halt humanoid and have access to Ork technology.

Planetary Assimilation

Generally, contact with the Tyranids occurs when a Hive Fleet invades a system for the purpose of harvesting its bio-mass. A Hive Fleet contains an enormous number of Tyranids, and they are brought to bear against resistance in the most efficient manner possible. Below is a general outline of a typical Tyranid planetary assault (in particular, this data is collected from the Tyranid invasion of Dalki-Prime):

* Day 00: Initial mycetic spores are dropped, generally containing Lictors or Genestealers. Infiltration force led by a synapse creature of some kind; reproduction of Tyranid creatures likely begins immediately.
* Day 09: By day 9, Tyranids will have expanded to around 200 km from the drop point, and will likely present a significant threat to PDF troopers and resident Imperial Guard.
* Day 13: Tyranids will have expanded to 700 km from the drop point; may begin infesting local water sources.
* Day 37: Tyranids control area within 2000 km radius of the drop point; basolithic infestation to 5000 km radius.
* Day 48: Tyranid population growth skyrockets, with population doubling approximately every 2.5 days.
* Day 50: Main Hive Fleet arrives, craft generally numbering around 1.5 billion. Psychic contact with planet is cut off by the shadow of the Hive Mind. Any attempts to escape are quickly stopped by the Hive Fleet.
* Day 51: Primary consumption of bio-mass begins (resistance has generally been eliminated by day 51). Brood ships land, releasing Ripper swarms, which consume organic material and depositing them at the reclamation pools. Capillary towers (and the Brood ships) send the material into orbit. Any remaining surface life is eliminated by Gaunts.
* Day 80: Ripper swarms board the Brood ships and return to the Hive Fleet. The hive ships descend into the upper atmosphere and begin collecting it. Reduction in atmospheric pressure causes oceans to boil away, which are also collected. Lack of oceans causes plate tectonic shifts, dramatically increasing volcanic activity. Upon completion, the Hive Fleet re-enters the Warp, in search of fresh prey.
* Day 100: Imperial navy arrives in response to the distress call to find the world lifeless.

I think that Tyranids actually evolve much faster than the Orks. And they don't just take over planets, they completely kill it. After they leave, the planet is completely devoid of life, and the Hive Fleet is that much stronger.

well not to interrupt, but i just recently returned from an extended leave of absence from the forums, and saw this. And being a 40k geek I would like to say there is no way the C'Tan would ally themselves with any living race, due to the fact that their only purpose is to kill, enslave, and feed their gods. I dont think the Tau would ally themselves with the Human race either, too many fundamental differences.

The Eldar have been known to cooperate with the humans from time to time to serve a greater purpose so that is not completely out of the question. I think the best possibility of having anything resembling an alliance would be the conquest of a certain system by some great evil, like say a super fleet of tyranids or since some of the dark eldar worship the chaos gods then chaos and the dark eldar. However if ya wanna do this, you may not want to add the Astartes or any inquisitional troops since they would definately not agree to the aid of aliens without serious coersian (sp?).

However I didnt read through all of the pages so I might be missing out on some information yall have already agreed on before this, so if thats the case then I apologize. But I hope this has helped at least a lil.

The God Emperor is dead. The Chaos are on the march, The Necrons move to reawaken the last of their gods. The Tyranids and Ork war is reaching an end, who ever come out on top will mean doom for billions and the a new enemy sters in the depths of the imperium, the secrets of the dark age of technology have been discovered.

Old faiths will be broken, the dogs of war will be released, enemies will turn into allies and allies into enemies. The final cleansing of the galaxy is at hand, who will survive is up to you.

Currently we cleared out the main city from the main Orc force,now we are chatting and waitinf for Toc to give us a twist in the plot.

I can be a plot twist. Remem how the Tyranids were fighting the orks? Whats not to say a Hive fleet isn't fighting them now? I've been itiching for a good ground assault with my custom swarm. I know I've been suggested as the plot twist by others.

Well obviously that all other shattered regimets will merge into the first mobile...or also you can request pre-command from our colonel when he comes online...if he comes online.....

I'm hopeing something like that will happen, or if this Tyranid invasion happens, we may all be drafted in to fight it.
