The mountains in the south KLOG:

As the forces prepared to move north the mountains needed to be secured once and for all. The plan was simple send forces in to drive the Spetsnaz out of the mountains. With the help of local guides and personal forces where moved into the mountains by one of three ways by helicopters, BV-206s, or walked, also mountain support bases where to be setup to resupply and reinforce troops as needed.

H-hour:

Hundreds of armored vehicles and tanks rolled across the border into the KLOG to break the hold of Petrovic city. This attack was four operations acting as one.

1: The 2nd armored Division job was to cut across the KLOG from the west and kill everything that wasn’t friendly.

2: The 3rd marine division was to push north from the south and cut off supply lines and destroy everything in its path.

3: The Royal Imbrinium Air force along with marine and navy aircraft orders where to shoot anything that wasn’t friendly down and bomb air fields and support ground operations.

There were also 3 more divisions ready to move into the KLOG needed. With another 3 divisions arriving at D+2.
Forces inside the Petrovic city where told to hold out and make a move if they could see a hole opening up for them.

OOC: Thats kinda funny there CP i'm in the U.S. Army and your in the Russian Army and where fighting a war between us. What do you do and what type of unit are you in.

[ooc: I'm assigned to a Motor-Rifle squad, probably with a BTR-80A. Since I'm a contract sergeant, I'll be in charge of that squad. Tomorrow I start training with the rest of them, when they're supposed to be ready.]

"All units, enemy armor approaching from multiple directions, adjust and prepare to engage, out"

The supporting tanks[T-90U, T-90A, T-80UM1, T-72BM1] launched Refleks missiles when the enemy armor was in range[about 6,000m] and had a visible target, then after confirming hits would move to another location, firing more missiles. Once they were out of those, they would switch to regular APFDS-T rounds and engage at their own discretion. The Su-39 and helicopter gunships were to engage the armor coming from the west, since there were almost no SRChP forces on that side of the city. Seeing this disadvantage, most air power would be diverted to this sector.

In controlled parts of the city, AT teams set up firing positions in buildings with Kornet and Metis launchers, and would wait until the enemies vehicles were in place.

In the mountains, the mountain troops were using hit-and-run raiding tactics on the enemy, and often took shots on helicopters with Igla launchers. Because of the terrain, most operation were carried out on foot, though they did have a number of BMD-4 IFV's.

OOC: Good luck. I'm worrying about my city's funding cuts for the police department, so I probably could be reassigned to street patrol instead of gang division where I am now.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO SRCP
From President Pyotr Mikhailovich Akos Szendrenyi, USGA
To Premier Kotenko, SRCP

We are gravely concerned in the situation in Kolgujevska between your forces, Imbrinium, the KNA, and the Vietnam Empire. For that reason, I would like to fly to your nation to initiate talks on any possible military involvement by our forces. For security reasons, I would like any Spetsnaz forces you have available to accompany my Secret Service agents. I hope we can work things out to a point where we can make something beneficial to both our nations during this conflict.

Thank you,

Western Kolgujevska

The Divisions has nearly finished establishing its operation base. The Central Command is relocated in the Neutral Zone (the other nation)

Everyone is exhausted, several pill boxes created, attillaries, howitzers, and anti-air positioned, barb wires, heli pads, tents set up, and all sort of things.

The 751st Armored Battalion has arrived and is distributed evenly around the base camp.

The Generals requested some other things before doing any operations.

Encrypted Message to HQ

The 150st and 110st Army Divisions has nearly finish its establishment operation base.

The 751st has arrived

Requesting additional Divisions to come. However, a Army size is perfered, with 60,000 troops, creating 100,000 troops strong. However, the paratroopers are not yet contacting us, assuming to be KIA or MIA.

When classified as Army size, reclassify as the 12th Field Army, unless using the Divisions from the area where 150th and 110st, came from , then we will be known as the 10th Field Army.

Requesting additional Armored units or supporting helis.

After enough surveillance was conducted on the VE camp, the Air Force would now conduct strikes against the now statically-placed enemy. Reconnaissance troops and satellite imaging had identified most of their equipment support, so a total of 10 X-02A stealth fighters were prepped with ground attack weapons, and would begin their operation.

The 58th Army was now within theater in western Kolgujevska, and began preparing for a "rolling thunder" operation upon the VE, in coordination with air support from various aircraft[X-02A,Su-34,Su-39,Su-30] and helicopter gunships[Mi-24P, Ka-50/52, Ka-65]

Veblensk Airport...
President Szendrenyi arrived in Air Force One, a heavily-modified and secure Boeing 787 based on the American idea of the VC-25, along with his Secret Service agents concealing submachine guns in their suits and their baggage. They were all from the Critical Protection Division of the Service, trained to blend in with the local populations of the areas the President visited, especially if security risks were high.

Captain Ivan Petrov was the head security agent on the scene, sticking close to the President at almost all times. He wore a camoflauge jacket and a Type IV tactical ballistic vest. On his head were sunglasses and a balaclava under his PASGT helmet, standard for all the agents. As he and his men escorted the President out of the plane, he received a call from his superior, Major Schwarzkopf.

"Petrov, you are to meet with several Vityaz operatives in the terminal and get the President to the premier's office. Same routine as usual, but keep an eye out for anything suspicious. SRChP is in a state of war right now, and we need to be alert for anything that might go wrong."

"What about the convoy? Did we have it ready or will they provide one for us?"

"I'm sure they'll have the second option. Besides, we have undercover troops stationed at the plane just in case we need to get out of any sticky situation there may be. I'll stay in constant contact with you and your counterparts. You won't have any problem getting along, no?"

"Not at all, sir. My men will do our best."

As the USGA President and his security personnel arrived, the Vityaz commandos did a radio check.

"Team 1 to all units, first floor is clear. Report status"

"Team 2, second floor clear."

"Teams 3 and 4 upper levels clear."

Once they arrived at the gate, the team leader, Captain Medvedev approached them. He looked much like the other spetsnaz; 'Partizan' suit, 6B13 armor vests, and Grad-2 assault vests, though he was not wearing his 'Sphera' helmet at the time, instead wearing his red beret.

He said "The Premier will be meeting with you, but the location has been changed. It;s going to be at Veblensk City Hall instead of the command center. I was told there was a problem with the main elevator. Any way, we have some vehicles outside waiting."

He and a different commando led the to the parking lot, where a group of Government UAZ Patriots were waiting.

Petrov replied in his native Leningrad Russian, "That'll be fine, Comrade. I'm Captain Petrov by the way, Secret Service CPD. Let's get the President to the City Hall."

Szendrenyi, with his entourage, then came in from the terminal and met up with Medvedev and Petrov's squad. They were promptly escorted to the UAZ Patriots as Petrov's lieutenant scanned the area for any threats with his binoculars.

"All clear, sir. The President is green-light for transport."

"Alright, Sgt. Vitalo. OK, men. Let's go!" Petrov turned to Medvedev and spoke of Szendrenyi's past career.

"You know, President Szendrenyi was a Spetsnaz commando in Russia until he moved to the United States. Rumor has it that he served along our first president - Ryan Le - in Chechnya and Ukraine. Le was in Delta Force back then, before he married and had kids."

Medvedev smirked. "Strange, I was a merc for the Russians back then. There were some things even the GRU didn't want on their hands. At that time, this country was a democracy until the civil war. That's how I ended up here... Part of the 'Red Star Brigade'."

As the Patriots moved through the street, taking a sideroad due to a car crash earlier in the day, they approached an OMON security checkpoint, then proceeded to the building; compared to the other buildings, it was the oldest in the city.

The Vityaz commandos exited the vehicles and made a perimeter between the patriots and the building. After they would exit the vehicles, they would enter the building past the KGB security personnel, take the elevator to the 3rd floor and enter the Mayor's Office[He had retired for the day, opting to take an early weekend, and allowed his office to be used, since it had the largest conference room attached.]

The Premier and the head of Internal Affairs were waiting inside, chit chatting about the war going on, and about the renovations being done to the office building across the street. She looked more professional today; instead of the usual black uniform, she had a formal dress on. After a few minutes, the KGB agent outside the room knocked, and told them that the USGA President was here.

"Let him in, we're just about ready here."

The man gave a quick salute, then accompanied the President's Secret Service along with the Vityaz commandos to the office.

"Good day, Premier Kotenko. I'm glad to be here in your country and would like to commence our talks as soon as possible."

"Good day to you too. Oh, before I forget" She says, turning to the Director of Internal Affairs "This is Yuri Semka, he's the new Director of Internal Affairs."

She sits down in one of the chairs in the conference room, "So what brings you here of all days? I'm afraid I was not able to personally read the telegram, and things have ben a bit hectic around here to fully understand what I was told. I assume it's about the situation with the neighbors, am I correct?"

After Peter shook Yuri's hand, he immediately sat down at the table with Premier Kotenko. "Yes, but our focus has shifted away from the situation in Kolgujevska to a previous country we abandoned we are now considering of strategic importance. In a recent rash of terror attacks off the Somali coast, civilian gun ownership in our country has reached all-time highs due to growing fears of threats to our national security and to global trade. So far, our terror alert level is yellow, but we fear it may raise with any major incident like a bombing or hijacking. In fact, I believe I should make reference to the bank robbery in the capital in the winter."

A Secret Service agent handed him a briefcase containing CIA documents on the Forgotten Army, a terrorist group responsible for robbing a major national bank in Liberty City last December. President Szendrenyi then passed them to the premier, with the FA's profile.

"CIA Analysts cooperating with the LCPD investigators have concluded that the Forgotten Army - the terrorists that tried to rob our national bank in December - is a Chechnyan terrorist group based in Novistrana and connected to the anti-government forces in Adjikistan. After Novistrana collapsed after the war, the Forgotten Army retreated to Adjikistan in fear of retribution by our armed forces. We think it would be at best interests for both our nations if we take down these terrorists before they can do any serious damage. We've identified their leader: Akhmed Mashkadov."

He promptly passed the Premier a picture of a bearded, shaved-headed man in a military uniform.

"Forgotten Army.."

She looks at the CIA documents, along with some KGB files on Mashkadov.

"We had an incident in the nuclear research zone near the ghost city of Chelyabinsk, a MVD patrol spotted a group of men near the cordon, they weren't the usual looters or anything, and they fired at the MVD troops. After the little engagement it was suggested that they were after fuel rods from the reactor, we never found out if they had gotten them, since it appeared to just be a 5 man team."

She turns another page, still talking. "As for Mashkadov, we've been monitoring him for a while, but after he split with Zakhaev we lost track of him."

She produced a folder on the deceased militant leader. He was a tall man, in his 30's with short hair. In the photograph, his men appeared to be well equipped.

"Adjikstani soldiers and our own took out Zakhaev out a few months ago in a raid on his camp in the mountains between the countries. Most of the documents were intact, but we couldn't find anything useful to us. I can arrange for them to be sent if you'd like."

Yuri took the folder back to the desk, and leaned against it.

"If you say you know where he is, we theoretically could take him out, but Adjikstan currently has a little war going on, so it could be harder to find him then previously thought. I've currently got a Division there as a part of the AFOR mission, along with quite a few spetsnaz from GRU, who've been there for a while."

"Unfortunately, we have no idea of Mashkadov's exact whereabouts. However, our informants have narrowed the search to a wide area in Adjikistan. They've been confirmed to have been collaborating with the anti-government forces there while blending in to avoid detection by foreign counter-terrorist organizations. We could send in a small military force and some special agents into Adjikistan to assist the Spetsnaz if you permit us."

Szendrenyi then received a document from Petrov's intel specialist attached to the division from the CIA. Peter opened the file, and gasped. "Dammit. Looks like Mashkadov's got his hold on several M-11 IRBMs and chemical along with biological warheads. Is there any way they can sneak that into Adjikistan? If they could, I would have figured out soon enough. Do your people know anything of this, Premier?"
Chernobyl-Pripyat
18-04-2009, 22:07
"There's little chance he could have got them in Adjikstan, they've got tight border control since there's few ways to get inside, then there's the port. Chances of that are low too."

She looks over the CIA maps and the KGB data on Mashkadov, along with a simple satellite map of Adjikstan. "If he found a way to bring the missiles inside the country, they would be at the Vratska dockyard." The premier circles a small city near the ocean. "It's thier largest port, and the only one capable of taking heavy cargo."

"It would be best to check there first, then the other possible locations afterwards. Our spetsnaz are already incountry, so it's a matter of giving them the orders and intel."

"On another note" She continued, "This would have to be a completely covert operation. The Adjikstani government will be kept in the dark about this one, because we would lose the element of surprise on the dockyard if they saw ANA personnel carriers and tanks. Once you get your team ready, they'll be taken to our garrison in Adjikstan. From there, they'll meet with the spetsnaz operatives and take civil transport to Marev, where I'll arrange for some equipment to be stashed in a hotel room. The uniforms will be standard MVD noch-91M uniforms in urban-kamysh pattern. Any weapons they would prefer?"
Gibberish America
19-04-2009, 06:35
"My people would prefer anything your operatives are using, like the same gear and AK-103 assault rifles. I have a Delta unit from the Army stationed at the airport consisting of about 25 men. I'll send them in to get equipped and to assist your Spetsnaz commandos when your officers give the green light for our operation."

Szendrenyi did not mind directly commanding his security forces due to his military experience. He then sent a text message to Captain Petrov by phone about activating Delta, Activate Ghost Platoon at Veblensk Airport and meet with SRChP security forces to fly to Marev via civil transport. Effective immediately.

He then looked up and continued to give details on the Forgotten Army. "Not to make things heated, but I have a personal reason to hate these terrorists. Back when I was an MVD operative, I had a sergeant under my command who was one of the best helicopter pilots and engineers in the company: Ivan Vladekov. During the civil war, he defected to the Forgotten Army and oversaw the slaughter of innocent civilians. According to the CIA files, he's one of Mashkadov's right-hand men and is in charge of the weapons shipments his group receives. I have reason to believe he might be the one helping Mashkadov bring in the M-11s. If he is not, I want to make sure he can harm no man, woman, or child ever again."

[ooc: different thread for this operation, or no? if so, then just create it and let me know.]

"I'll pass the word on to Colonel Gurlukovich. He's in charge of the spetsnaz in Adjikstan."

She looked at a list of the current forces in Adjikstan "Because of the number of troops your committing to this operation, I'm going to recommend that they split into 2 groups; one for the dockyard, the other for the mountain sweep. Gurlukovich will assign 12 operatives to the dockyard, however the mountains will have to be coordinated with regular infantry."

The Premier checked her phone for the confirmation from the GRU colonel, then put it down on the table and continued.

"For that one, your forces should locate it, and then the regular troops will storm the site. It's been hard to get air support in places, since they've got a number a SPAAG's and AA missiles."

----

Inside an old hotel, some men had payed for some rooms, over a span of an hour or so dropped off the equipment; the uniforms with balaclavas, OMON patrol vests [some black, others were in Les pattern], M23 bandoleers, AKS-74 assault rifles with Kobra dot sights, flash grenades, USP 9mm handguns with flashlights attached along with a sizable amount of semtex.
