Subj: Invasion of UG



For any nations who don't already know, during the Ne Behemes war, The United Government started hostilities against Ralkovian peacekeepers and supported Trafica and Roen in quashing an independent region of T&R.

Ralkovia, Greywatch, The Grand World Order, Leistung, and several other nations attacked the forces of TUG in order to restore stability to the region, and succeeded in driving TUG's troops from the area. However, TUG refused all terms for surrender (namely refusing to pay war reparations) and repeatedly refused ultimatums given to them.

For this reason, Leistung has decided to use a "Shock and Awe" campaign to force the warlike nation into submission. This will consist of missile strikes targeting military infrastructure and air strikes against masses of TUG troops, followed up by a land invasion to secure the TUG homeland. We regret that the matter couldn't be resolved diplomatically.

The Greywatch Council hopes that you will not resort to using any nuclear weapons on the nation whilest allied forces are inside. The damages would not only be great but the world community would not smile upon such an action.

East Pacific Ocean, Schliseria

"You want us to change course again?" Admiral Braun asked, slamming his fist down on the control panel. His fleet had gone to Trafica and Roen, back, there again, and now he was being re-routed once more.

"Copy that, Resolute. We need you to proceed to the United Government at full speed and continue operations there. Your battlegroups will be joined by a Light Carrier Battlegroup and another Battleship Battlegroup--191 ships in total. This is the largest fleet assembled so far by the Republic of Leistung--make sure that our trust is not misplaced, Admiral," the voice on the radio said.

"Of course not," Braun sighed. "We'll meet up with the new battlegroups at the rendezvous point twenty miles north of our current position. Braun out."

The radio cut out and Braun placed his head in his hands, annoyed and excited in equal measure. The conflict for the United Government homeland was sure to be bloody, and he was beginning to think he was getting too old for this sort of thing. Although Bundesmarine Command had not stated why both Battleship Battlegroups were being deployed, he knew the reason instictivly--six massive ships worth of land-attack missiles, and that meant that "Shock and Awe" was going to be a priority.

He could only pray that civilian casualties could be kept low as the Resolute's engines began to fire up again, bound for war once more.

The belligerence of your government and reports on the subsequently erratic and heedlessly reckless manner in which T.U.G. forces behaved have convinced this government that your nation represents a dire threat to international peace and our own wellbeing.

It is the position of this government that The United Government conducted itself in a way that constitutes acute criminal negligence and an act of hostility (in violation to previous treaties signed between our governments). A large fleet of helicopters let down along with a fleet of Vehicle Air Transports. The troops gathered and prepared for war.

Greywatch forces were preparing for the usual drop in. Though if they oculd at all help it, they'd prefer someone make sure the area was secure first. Dropping into a combat zone was a very risky business.

The soldiers scanned the surrounding area. "Clear!!!" shouted an elite into is microphone. A group of about 50 began walking north to try and locate the position of the enemy, but they had trouble seeing as there was something like fog around so they returned to camp.

Though Ralkovia has a large fleet and men in the region, they are devoted right now to keeping the Trafica and Roen troops away from the islands. As soon as T&R surrender Ralkovia will move troops to support the invasion of TUG. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to Ralkovia's allies and fellow combatants. Ralkovia would also like to remind its allies and fellow combatants that TUG major cities and capital have already been wiped out and nerve centers and military units are in small towns.

The United Government Sea (?)

Sirens blared on every Leistung ship as the advance assault units piled onto their transports and set off towards the direction of land. Helicopters buzzed overhead, laden with special forces commandos and soldiers, trying to gain a foothold on The United Government's lands. Meanwhile, Admiral Braun was on the line with his six battleship captains, trying to decide on a course of action.

"Admiral, all Naval Strike Missiles are fueled and ready, and our submarine captains have indicated the same. We are currently plotting firing solutions, targeting barracks, SAM emplacements, SCUD launchers, and anti-ballistic missile sites," Captain Talon yelled over the radio, trying to raise his voice over the landing sirens. "We also have spec-ops teams currently inserting into a number of their smaller cities with laser designators, trying to pick out targets for us to engage from sea."

"Between our planes and our missiles, our land forces might just be mopping up pockets of resistance," another Captain said.

"Excellent," the Admiral responded. "Also make sure that each and every one of you opens up a channel with the battlecruisers and destroyers armed with Tomahawks and Naval Strike Missiles. I've already informed Leistung Missile Command of the situation, and they've assured me that nuclear weapons will only be used as a last resort."

Beaches of the United Government

LY4A1 tanks rumbled off their transports and formed up into kill-groups along with LY6 tank destroyers and "Spartan" IFV's. The ground forces were going to be held in reserve until the air strikes and missiles did their job, but it was important to form a pocket of resistance on the mainland itself so that TUG forces couldn't force them back to the sea.

The first few battalions landed would proceed due north to capture a small unmarked town which was rumored to be the site of an airstrip used by the United Government Air Force, and that would be the first target of the war.

In order to witness no more bloodshed and destruction, I would recommend that The United Government pay its war reparations and order what's left of its military to stand down. IC: The Northern Baltic forces landed without a problem on the other end of The United Government. Mig-1.44 fighters assembled in flights of 25 aircraft and flew low, as to avoid shipborne radar. The Northern Baltic troops drove ahead and secured commercial airports for use as emergency landing sites, just in case. The commercial airports were fortified with SAMs, barbed wire, and machine gun nests.

The tanks and other armored vehicles accompanying the Northern Baltic forces drove forward and set up a perimeter on the outskirts of the capital. It was suggested that civilians be evacuated and any that wanted to, could hitch rides with returning logistics trucks. Infantry created anti-tank ditches filled with mines around the capital. The first line of defense consisted of
well dug in infantry with well-fortified buildings serving as strongpoints. Light artillery was provided in the form of mortars and 122mm howitzers. A dozen miles behind the first line, the second line of defense was constructed. A small number of tanks and mobile artillery were dug in accompanied by infantry, but the majority of the tanks were mobile between the second and third lines. Between the second and third lines were the commercial airports the troops had captured as emergency landing zones. From those points, attack helicopters could carry out runs. In the final line, the third line, infantry, with heavy 203mm artillery behind them, were prepared to guard the military hospitals set up behind the troops to take care of wounded, as well as the capital.

On their way through the capital, a small detachment of troops, along with several dozen trucks, stopped at the seat of government. They had spare weapons (Ak-108 assault rifles, RPG-29 rocket launchers, PMM pistols, Sa-18 MANPADs, ShKAS heavy machine guns, and Ultimax 100s). Although there certainly were not enough weapons to supply an entire army, there were plenty to form a small volunteer force. With some basic training from Northern Baltic instructors, a small emergency force could be formed.

His nation has been kinetically bombarded, nuked, nuked again, struck with more cruise missiles than used in any of my previous wars combined, and yet still he won't surrender. It's absolutely insane, and quite frankly annoying.

Also, there is no capital city in the United Government. At this point it is little more than a heap of radioactive rubble and bodies killed by the idiocy of TUG. There are no airports. There are no seaports. There are no barracks. There is simply nothing.

TUG, this is your final warning. We ask you--nay, we beg you to see reason and surrender unconditionally.

The pilot of the unarmed C-199A "Samson (http://www.forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13640718&postcount=476)" flew over Northern Baltic positions at high altitude but low speed, preparing to drop his load of thousands of warning leaflets.

Though TUG's stubbornness (which is actually commendable) had already doomed his own men, there was no reason that the Northern Baltic's troops had to suffer as well. Six Konstantin Class SSBNs were currently in the process of plotting firing solutions for each of their 32 missiles with 6 MIRVs each, and although Strategic Missile Command had hoped to avoid a nuclear solution, it seemed impossible at this point.

Meanwhile, eight dozen S-500 anti-ballistic missile systems prepared for combat. The missile systems were among the best in the world and their crews were trained to a very high standard. The missile systems were placed in groups of three and arranged in two rings: the first outer ring was arranged so that it fit neatly between the first and second defense lines. The other, smaller ring was placed a bit past the final ring of defense.

The fleet also prepared for operations. 90 Longboat Classes of the fifth fleet stayed to guard the amphibious task forces as well as utilize their anti-ballistic missiles if they needed to, while the rest of the fleet split into two even groups: the first would head around one side of The United Government, the second around the other side. Well he shot down my phoenix and I used three strike missiles but lost no soldiers, So I'll settle for an incredibly low $50 million oh and for an extra million, TUG, I'll take in your citizens and save em' from dying from nuclear fallout

Ralkovia is deploying 300 troops(in hazmat suits) to TUG. They will drop off a treaty and collect Jim and his family if he wants too. This Treaty says that TUG will not need to pay off anyone as long as they abstain from supporting any of our enemies for a period of 20 years.

A man clad in an officer's garb pulled the set of launch codes out of the triple-locked safe and read out the numbers to the assembled staff, trembling violently as he went.

"Activation code one-eight-niner dash eight-seven dash two-five-five. Permission to launch granted by Strategic Missile Command in Hauptstadt," he finished, dropping the thick parchment to the polished floor. The five men manning the silo were silent.

"Mister Gibbs, the key please," he said, ripping his own launch key off a thin metal wire around his neck. A man stepped forward and placed his key in the slot as he did the same.

"Three...two...one...turn." The two men turned their keys simultaneously and an audible click could be heard, the lighting turning from soft white to a dull red. One of the men flipped the hard plastic cover off the launch button and hovered his finger over it.

Across the mountainous landscape of The Northern Baltic, thousands of silos were being activated. In total, 2,500 SS-27 missiles were preparing to fire and aimed at the enemy nations. The ABM system was also brought online, just in case. Hundreds of anti-satellite missiles were also activated and began targeting every enemy satellite with a ratio of three missiles for every one satellite. Everything hinged on what the Leistungians did.

United Government
One of the two armies stationed was evacuated, but the other army held strong. Naval engineers worked on constructing a new port facility and flew a Northern Baltic flag, just to show that it was The Northern Baltic that was working there. A United Government flag was also flown to show their respect for the natives. Temporary housing was constructed for the refugees from the nuclear fallout. Medical facilities were set up and doctors volunteered to help the victims of this tragedy.

OOC: If you all don't leave him alone, I'll have all your people wish they lived in The United Government because your countries will be so bathed in radiation that children with web fingers will be standard.

The Nation of Sur Abruzzi abhors the tragic and catastrophic actions taken on both sides. Since we are in no state to currently act in a military or peacekeeping fashion that is desirable, we strongly urge the following course of action:

The United Government, please surrender as a means to save your nation. We understand pride, but this has become insanity. Don't force the forces of the nations opposing you to launch any further nuclear attacks.

If you will surrender, we will aid you in any fashion that our nation can logistically muster, as long as none of this aid is used in a military fashion. Since your nation is in a defenseless position, with no known existing military forces, we will send a 3,000 man strong infantry force equipped with Haz-Mat suits to be positioned to help enforce any agreed upon cease-fire. If the nation of The United Government grants it, Sur Abruzzi will also establish a permanent base in a part of the country NOT overcome with radiation, and man it with 5 F-22 Raptors to be used solely in the same peace-keeping fashion as our 3,000 man infantry force with necessary logistical and support staff.

These offer is predicated upon The United Government coming to it's senses and surrendering at once.

The weather is perfect thought Major Borislav. The iron tracks of the mobile artillery crushed rubble on the road. Sporting Radioactive protection suits, men walked next to the mobile artillery, directing them into a firing position. Somewhere between the first and second defense lines, the artillery took position. Over 300 BM-30s assembled in a reverse crescent formation and aimed at the Canedian Army's newly constructed military base, a base which was found by satellites. Loading 12 HE-Fragmentation missiles each (300 x 12 = 3,600), they unloaded their missiles at a range of 90 km (about 56 miles) at the Canedian Army's base.

2) Greywatch will pay off any depts the TUG owes
3) Greywatch will then relocate any remaining citizens to a safe zone within Greywatch borders
4) From there, all TUG citizens will be inspected for any health issues that could be serious due to the radiation will be treated immediately and appropriately
5) Other land will be located for the rebuilding of TUG
6) TUG reconstruction will happen under Greywatch supervision
7) TUG will not under any circumstances have an army of any kind for the next thirty years or until the country developes a sense of responsibility. All defensive actions will be handled by Greywatch
8) Greywatch will be allowed military bases in whatever area of land is chosen for TUG reconstruction to make sure NO wars are started by TUG and that no military developement is underway
9) TUG's new government will have Greywatch advisors, so that no aggressive, foolish, or nation-endangering decisions are made
10) TUG will never develop a nuclear program until Greywatch sees that it can trust TUG's goverment to not make a decision like those listed in 9

Actually, he pretty much started it in all aspects. He attacked Ralkovia's and Greywatch (?)'s peacekeepers, he tried to quash an independent nation for no reason, and then he refused to surrender. As for regards to item 5, I would say 15 years to be sure. And any country interested should be allowed to make inspections routinely to make sure the army does not grow over that limit in the set amount of time.

My scientists (along with anyone else who wants to donate) can make a plasma chamber to destroy radiation. Basically, the rubble and dirt that is radioactive will be fed into the machine and will be destroyed. The airborne radiation will still be a problem, but that will go away much faster then the radiation in the ground. After all the dirt is removed in the 'infected' areas, we can fill in new dirt and cover it with asphalt (which doesn't retain radiation). Then his government can encourage his people to have more children (maybe offer money or a lottery as an incentive) and in not to long, his country will be back to normal.

Actually, I think our actions are being blown out of proportion. Rithian instigated tactical nuclear strikes agains military targets, and I launched cruise missiles against troop formations and military infrastructure. GWO was the only one who directly targeted civilians.
