The Student Rebellion (Open to All)
"Blind are they, O Lord,
the sinners cannot see,
the illuminating light." Thomas Veron, 19th Century Calvinist essayist (1807-1885)
Caddence Memorial College had long been known in the Myakkan nation for the left wing ideals that flourished within its halls ever since the 1960s as well as the fiery and passionate anti-left speeches from the right wingers who resided in the same college. The college was known as a bastion of political debate among the student elite. Out of these students arose a fiery and passionate speaker who adhered to the words of the Maoist school of thought, a young man whose dream was the destruction of the centuries old monarchy and the realization of a Communist utopia free of capitalist heresies and monarchist autocracy which, to him, was falsely hailed as being for the people's benefit. He was Adam Calavera; the boy with the look of the sterotypical Aryan and the boy who was often mocked for his so called aspirations of revolution. In his speeches to the college's Communist Club, he actively condemned the centuries old monarchy which provoked reactionaries, as he labelled them, to create a bulletin known as The Loyalist in which Calavera was condemned as a traitor, a Communist bastard and other derogatory names. Calavera brushed the names aside to continue on his quest for the conquest of the minds of his classmates. He wanted them to understand him and his ideals. It was on a sunny and clear day in the city of Carcassonne, the ancestral home of the Imperial Family, that Adam Calavera took it upon himself to deliever a speech to a massive crowd in one of the college's parks. They cheered as he took the stage with a wave before beginning his speech. "Brothers and sisters! Today, we see the rise of a new order over our beloved homeland. Myakka is bound by the chains of exploitation to the whim of an outdated monarchy and an oppressive market! We see that many people suffer under the enemy's yoke and that our comrades in Zanski and other like minded nations are being oppressed by the bastards who dare call themselves servants of Humanity. My dear friends, Communism is the way, the truth, and the only path for human salvation. The Christian will tell you that Christ is the only way for eternal salvation but my friends, Communism is the Christ of the mortal world and Karl Marx is his prophet. Marx, Stalin, Lenin, Mao...they had it right. The enemy is all around us and must be ruthlessly persecuted!"
The people cheered with such violence that it even irked the usually calm and emotionless Calavera but he continued despite hearing some jokes and jests in the crowd. "The tyrannical Emperor must give his powers to the People! The People must lead the nation to glory! We must see to it that the Emperor falls before the People in submission to their Will. I have a dream...in which a Myakkan worker may be free of oppression...in which a Myakkan may live in a utopia free of want. My dearest brothers and sisters, we shall see the rise of a new world order. I urge you all to convert your relatives and friends to the gospel of Communism! Let us show the bastards that we mean business!"
It did not take long for the crowds to riot in the streets with screams of "Death to the Monarchy!" and "Long live the Four Legends!" echoing throughout the city to the amazement and surprise of the masses; those who were usually never witnesses to a riot. When some of the Communists threatened to march straight towards the mausoleum of the nation's founder, Gaspard Lanquesnet, a group of citizens blocked them with sticks, stones and fists. They did not want to see a bunch of Communists desecrating such a landmark. Calavera watched the news from his dorm in the college and smiled. "The New Order shall arise soon.....we shall bring the rotten structure crashing down."
OOC: This is simply a student rebellion (at the moment); my first on NS (I'm Ixania). The idea is based off the 1968 riots in France but with obvious Communist tendencies among the students. Feel free to support or condemn. I shall tell you if I desire military intervention, etc. Note that this story will intensify soon.
"It seems Calavera is leading a riot. The damned fool. He must be stopped."
John Flagman had never been fond of the left wingers of the Communist Club nor had he been fond of Calavera's condemnations of the Monarchy and the status quo at large. He was the creator of The Loyalist in which he wrote articles condemning Calavera as being a deluded fool shackled to an ideology which has never once been proven to work. Flagman held to the idea that all Communist regimes were misguided and wrote numerous articles condemning the Bulgislavians, leaders of Zanski and other Communists as being liars who only have power for themselves. "The Proletariat has never once held true power in any of these so called Communist nations. The People are bound, by fear, to a system in which the Party is held above all. Marx must weep for his dream has never been realized and that, my friends, will always be the case."
The colleagues of Flagman including his like-minded girlfriend who helped him create the famous student paper were busy either watching the reports on the television or writing articles about the riots which condemned Calavera as being proven to show signs of delusion and of ignorance. Flagman took some paper into his hands and with a spare pen he proceeded to write down notes. "Communism is the fool's dream. It will never work. Calavera is blind. He cannot see the light." He then looked at his colleagues and smiled. "Calavera has made the first move. It is up to us to make the next. We shall hold a speech tonight to condemn the riots and I shall be the speaker yet I sense the possibility that I may be targeted for death. If I am to die then I die with the belief that Myakka should never fall into the hands of the Reds and I die with loyalty to His Majesty the Emperor and his wife."
The others cheered briefly for their icon with patriotic and anti-Calavera shouts echoing throughout the room while his girlfriend held onto him to smother him with kisses. Flagman knew what he was getting himself into and he knew that if he should fall, there would be millions of people ready to smash Communism into the dust. As the song goes, "(another) one bites the dust."

As the riots continued throughout the streets late into the night with people of all classes and paths trying to endure and/or stop them from continuing, Adam Calavera was surprised to see that he had recieved a letter from the President of Burtilana which was rather unexpected. Who would have thought that a student who supported the Stalinist style of crushing the enemies of the Revolution would recieve support from a foreign nation? With a smile Adam had his colleagues write a letter back to Vladimir Burte in the hopes of consolidating the newfound support. The letter was short but straight to the point.
Dear President,
We are humbled by your support and best wishes and hope that you will surely fund our efforts to establish Communism in the nation of Myakka. We hope that you will continue to support us and together we shall destroy those who would seek to oppress us.
Signed,
The League of Revolutionary Students
"The President of Burtilana has supported Calavera? Damn him!"
John Flagman looked upon the faces of his concerned supporters with an emotionless but still angry look upon his face albeit he considered foreign support to be inevitable especially due to the fact that Communism was a hot issue in parts of the world especially with the Zanski crisis. Flagman walked through the halls of the college to see that posters of support for the riots were everywhere as well as those against them. The walls were plastered with them as if they were wallpaper. When Flagman found his way to the podium in the auditorium to greet the Loyalists as they called themselves in the face of Calavera, Flagman began to speak on the construction of a resistance to the Calaverans who, in his words, would bring Myakka to the abyss with their lies. "Let us not let the Calaverans, deluded and lying fools, bring our nation to collapse with their false gospel. Communism is a fool's dream. Do you really want hypocrisy to reign?!"
"No!" The crowds shouted in unison for several times before they were quieted by the ushers so Flagman could continue to speak. "I urge you all to resist the Calaverans! Do not let them convert you to their horrid lies built on a platform of hypocrisy! If Communism wins in Myakka, we will all see the opening of Pandora's Box. We will see our families wiped out in purges and our loved ones forced to work in gulags and forced to die in mass graves. I urge you not to allow them to succeed! Together, my friends, to a brighter future!"
The crowds shouted patriotic slogans in repetitive unison over and over again while Flagman smiled with a continual waving motion of his hand. He had now organized the Loyalists and all that was left to do was to unleash them. Hopefully, the college student thought, Myakka would be spared the hypocritical hell that was Communism.

The League of Revolutionary Students was very humbled and thankful for the gift of money that they had recieved from the President with Adam Calavera overjoyed to see that foreign support was coming to him. Soon, he thought, the League would inspire a grand Revolution and the Old Order would come crashing down so that a New Order could be built over the ruins. The Calaverans would unite the masses under the banner of Communism or die trying.

The riots were intensifying in the streets of Carcasonne with many people being stuck somehow in the turmoil that was unleashed due to the speech of just one student from a local college who had spent his days studying the works of Communist thinkers including some Myakkan language tracts written by Joseph Stalin. As Adam Calavera orchestrated the riots from his dorm, John Flagman was looking over the copies of The Loyalist which had been finished hastily by his colleagues and supporters. He had never cteased since the early days to condemn Communism as being a fool's dream and would continue to call it such names until he was either dead or until there was no longer a need to do so. He would not try to convince people overseas, no, he only cared for Myakkans. Calavera, in his dorm, recieved Michail Lenin's message with much gladness and ordered that a reply be sent to him in the hopes that the support for the Revolution could be consolidated. Calavera was busy working on finishing his read of one of the Stalinist tracts he had found for himself while his colleagues wrote the short letter; all letters were short due to the need to spend more time and effort on achieving the goals of the Revolution. The students would provoke the workers and farmers to revolt.
"Mr. Lenin,
We must thank you for the support and hope that we can rely on you should we need to.
Signed,
The League of Revolutionary Students."
Calavera smiled as he finished reading the tract before picking up his copy of the Little Red Book as he walked towards the window to see the banners and torches of the rioters mixing with the batons and shields of the riot police. He could do nothing but smile as he watched events unfold with a smirk before noticing a little small band of counter rioters marching towards the scene with monarchist banners and images in their hands while singing an old Myakkan song of patriotism and loyalty; a hymn to the exploits and deeds of the legendary Gaspard Lanquesnet who founded Myakka with the bloody sword and the tightly held pen. Some of the counter rioters were making the sign of the cross while commending Myakka to God; obviously they were hardline Calvinists who loathed the idea of an atheist Myakka. Calavera smirked before retreating back inside to resume reading while his supporters worked on the articles of their new paper, Red Star, which was in a bitter feud with The Loyalist.
On the streets, John Flagman proudly held up the national flag while shouting praises of the Monarchy to the assembled Communists who were growing angry and tense with every minute that passed and every word spoken. His girlfriend came close behind to hold up a monarchist banner while the others continued to sing the patriotic song which was countered by the singing of the Internationale which echoed throughout the streets to the dislike of people who were trying to sleep in their beds or take care of crying infants. They did not expect to hear gunshots as a series of gunshots rang through the streets in unison with screams and condemnations. John Flagman had been shot numerous times through the heart but yet continued to march onward despite losing much blood; he was still singing his song while carrying the flag of the nation he loved while his girlfriend urged him to stop and rest. She did not want to see him die but he smiled and said: "I must do this. Myakka must not fall into their hands."
It did not take long, though, for John to finally fall on his knees with the blood dripping upon the flag and with himself looking pale and weak albeit the courage within him was strong. John fell to the ground and looked up to see the face of his girlfriend who gave him one last kiss. "Lucia....Myakka......freedom!" The eyes closed and the body went cold while the girl screams violently as the riot police charge into the crowds of rioters. Back in his dorm, Calavera smiled and chuckled a little. "Flagman's dead. Good. One man down; hundreds to go. If Fortune wills, we will take His Majesty down in one great finale."
News of the riots had spread to various other cities in the province with many of them soon having riots of their own in all sizes and strengths. The entire province which had been known for centuries as the ancestral home of the Imperial Family was falling into chaos and disarray all thanks to one man. A student named Adam Calavera.

Watching the riots unfold into mass chaos upon the streets of Carcasonne, Adam Calavera recieved yet another message of support from a like minded nation and smiled at the idea of them supplying his followers with funds, arms and training albeit he would be incapable of recieving significant support until he was able to get access to the sea or if like minded individuals in other groups were to do so. Hopefully, Adam thought, that would occur so that the Revolution could flourish while the oppressors of the People fell on their knees in submission to the Revolution. He had the following message sent to the SFRCP:
"We thank you for your support and express a desire to gain funds from you but we request that you hold off on arms and training until further notice. Thank you nonetheless, Comrades."

To: Government of Myakka
Greetings from Lamoni.
We have noticed that in Myakka, students who do not know the true face of Communism are willingly trying to assert the loss of all of the rights that they hold dear upon themselves, and the rest of their country as well.
It is our wish to see this madness stopped, and the riots ended. Therefore, we are prepared to support the Monarch of Myakka through whatever means are required. Just let us know what you need.
Signed,

Commrade GriffiN, General Secretary of the CC of the CHU.
Days had passed since the initial riots had passed within the province with the Communists gaining power in the cities with the use of force including some weapons that they had stolen from the local police forces. It turns out that hardline Communist militias which had dreamed of revolution as their ancestors did in the past sixty or so years were funding and supporting the students. Within days the entire province save for a little strip of land had been under the hands of Communists who declared the province's independence from Myakka albeit only in a plan to annex further provinces in the hopes that they would be brought into the fold; annexed into the Communist faction which they dreamed would unify the masses. There were reports or rather just rumours that Myakkan loyalists were planning counter offensives in the province and that the Imperial Court was very concerned with the reports of Communist rebellion. The college in which the rebellion had been born had been purged of all right wing and basically non-Communist elements with Flagman's Loyalists being forced out of the college which angered the parents who spent so much time and effort trying to get their kids into the esteemed institution. Flagman's Loyalists were now led by an enigmatic woman named Lucia Marsden who was busy trying to control the Communists and trying to keep people on the Monarchist faction albeit people who did hold Monarchist sympathies were usually beaten and in a few cases killed. Communist militias roamed the streets of cities in search of people to eliminate and people to convert. Within the weeks, the self declared Soviet Myakkan State was beginning to expand into neighboring provinces; with armed militia duking out with the Myakkan Army which was clearly Monarchist in its outlook albeit some betrayed the cause. Adam Calavera was still the leader of the League of Revolutionary Students despite having to share power with the Revolutionary Army led by Thomas Millone. The Revolutionary Army was a militarist group that sought the creation of a Communist state in Myakka.
"Mr. Griffin,
We must thank you for your support of the Myakkan Revolution and hopefully you will continue to support us as we enlighten the masses with the gospel of Communism."
The Revolutionary Army began making attacks into bordering provinces with some rebel soldiers getting their hands on military stockpiles of old and discarded weapons with their officers leading purges in the provinces in which anyone suspected of Monarchist sympathizes were eliminated while their children were sent to "youth re-education camps". The Revolution had begun.
"We thank the government of Zanski for their support and hope that we may all see the rise of the Myakkan Revolution."
----------------------------
Gaspard XIX had been looking at the reports of the Communist rebellion ever since the first riot begun in his family's ancestral city to his dismay and he was quite hopeful that he could crush the rebels and make sure that no further rebellions would occur albeit he was deeply concerned as to the possibility that he could lose what he loved the most. It was in the wee hours of the night and he was in his study, alone and content. He knew that General John Minat was appointed to lead counter attacks against the rebels while Altair Turenne, the Foreign Minister, would try to encourage foreign nations to support the Monarchy in the hopes that Myakka would not fall into the hands of those who would wish to impose what General Valon called the absurdities of hypocrites upon the masses. Valon was a hardline Monarchist more than willing to dispose of these Communists through brutal and harsh methods. As Gaspard worked on his reports, he could hear the chattering of his wife, Empress Laney, with some of the ministers right outside his door in concerned and stern tones of voices. The Emperor rose from his seat to look out the balcony to see the quiet capital of Marianopolis. He sighed and hoped that he would win the struggle.
"Miss Ley,
We must thank you and the government of Lamoni for the support pledged to us during these troubled times in our beloved nation in which students, those who would take up the nation after us, are led to believe in theories which would see the demise of our nation. We would ask that you fund our armies and send us both arms and officers to train the soldiers due to a series of harsh attacks by Communist soldiers on our people. Provinces are slowly falling to them. We must act.
Signed,
A. Turenne."

"Victory for the Revolution! Death to the Monarchists! Long Live Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Mao!"
The quiet village of Theran was relatively small but yet historically significant since it had been the hometown of Sabrina Theran who was well known in the Middle Ages as a warrior woman who tried to unify Myakkans under her only to die in battle with Gaspard Lanquesnet. The village was overwhelmed with Communist militiamen who were busy adorning it with images of Communism while tearing down monarchist symbols to the disgust of many of the villagers. A portrait of Marx hanged over what was once a portrait of Sabrina Theran which angered many villagers especially when she was called derogatory and absurd names. The new Mayor of Theran was a rugged and well built Communist who mandated that public rallies should be held to enlighten the masses. People who did not accept the New Order simply vanished and were never seen again; most likely they were executed and buried in mass graves so that they would never see their wives raped and their children beaten. A Myakkan gentleman by the name of Valera Damille rose into the spotlight when he began speaking from a makeshift podium about his anti-Communist views. Every time they tried to stop him, he simply walked to the podium and continued to speak. He was beaten with batons and still spoke before he was finally knocked unconsious and thus had to be carried out by his friends. "Let this be a lesson to you! Resistance to the New Order will not be tolerated!"
Towns and villages in Communist held areas were being purged completely of anyone considered to be a threat with many people vanishing to be never seen again by their loved ones. Provincial governors were dispatched to the Next World as enemies of the people while their families were either able to escape or were imprisoned in camps and forced to work for the Revolution. The Revolutionary Army believed in what we call the aggravation of class struggle under socialism, a Stalinist theory which mandated that purges were acceptable. Mass purges were being conducted in Communist held areas with hundreds being killed or imprisoned. Bands of roving militias all across Myakka were attacking convoys and taking the spoils of war with their hands on new military equipment including some old tanks that the Army left in the discard pile. Any Communist who deviated into the path of Trotsky and like minded men was purged immediately from the Revolutionary Army which admired Stalin and Mao who Trotskyists condemned as being enemies of the people. They themselves were now the people's enemies.

The Revolutionary Army seized control of several provinces; one with a bit of access to the sea which would prove very valuable to the Revolutionary Army in the days to come as foreign support would have to get to them via the medium of the sea. All of its posessions were now grouped together as Soviet Myakka with Carcasonne being the capital of the rebel state; ironically it had once been the capital of an Empire. The rebel state built its platform on a ruthless persecution of the Monarchists still remaining in its boarders, the conversion of the masses to the gospel of Communism and the building of a new nation. Monarchist symbols were being torn down while churches were able to stay open albeit under significant Communist watch. If any priest made a sermon against the New Order than he would be defrocked regardless of what his denomination believed about it. What happened to defrocked priests was a mystery albeit many believed they were executed. One priest, a Calvinist clergyman named Samuel Giseng had been convicted of crimes against the people due to his anti-Communist sermons. Giseng would tell his captors that he was standing for his beliefs as they themselves had done and that he was more than willing to die for his own. When he was told that he would be executed, Giseng simply made the sign of the cross, prayed and then looked at the men charged with shooting him. "You may kill me but you can never kill the idea. Ideas are bulletproof."
The shots rang through the air with Giseng falling to the ground; a smile stuck upon his face and his eyes looking up at the sky where, as a child, he looked to study the clouds. The body was carried off only to be replaced with a bunch of Catholic priests and nuns found guilty of crimes against the people. They were all to be shot. They had to die so that the Revolution would live. The Myakkan people were now seeing that these Communists were men who would love killing if it meant that the Revolution would endure and survive. A Cultural Revolution was ongoing in the cities in which Monarchist and other undesirable symbols and elements were being destroyed with many historical murals being whitewashed and many books burned. The house of Lucian Zavant, the icon of Myakkan Absurdism, was protected because the Communists said that he was a good and moral man as they did with Ion Maron, the great social reformer and novelist. Ion Maron did not know that he was being used to justify the ruthless persecution of exploiters. Churches were allowed to stay open but they all had Communist spies within the congregations.

"Maldorian Mercenaries? You think they'd come to assist us?"
Altair Turenne looked at the reports in his hands while talking to the ministers and military officers congregating around him as they discussed contacting this infamous and powerful mercenary group in the hopes of obtaining support for a massive offensive led by General John Minat. Rumors of the purges and executions were spreading like wildfire with people being scared that they could be next. Lieutenant Calliverin slammed his hand on a desk and shouted violently. "We MUST crush these Communists into the dust! We cannot allow them to take control of our beloved homeland!"
Calming down, Calliverin looked squarely at Altair. "These mercs will help us crush them. I urge you to contact them and ask for their assistance. We will make sure that the world comes to our aid even if we die in the attempt. If I have to die for Myakka then so be it. That is what a soldier does. He fights and dies, if need be, for his people, his family, and his nation above all."
After some more discussion, Altair wrote a simple letter to the Maldorian Mercenary Company in the hopes that they would come to help the Myakkan nation endure the challenges lying ahead.
"Chairman Redtooth,

The two Mandalorian mercenary divisions boarded the meek, Mandalorian transport ships as the fleet headed out towards Myakka. These well-equipped forces were preparing for what seemed to be a vicious, bloody civil war, the worst kind of a war. Men were willing to kill their own brothers simply because they had different opinions about politics. Civil wars are not civil, yet rather 'beastly war'. The mercenaries, when de-briefed, were warned to keep their eyes open; guerilla warfare is very common in such an internal conflict.

The news of the Mandalorian support had been recieved with much celebration in the halls of the Imperial Court with the Emperor of Myakka personally pleased with the efforts of his ministers to gather support for his faction. He had been hopeful that the Myakkan Empire would be able to survive the conflict and crush the rebels so that life could get on the path of normalty, that is, the path it was on long before the riots. Soldiers of the Myakkan Army were already duking it out with Communist rebels whose weaponry was old and possibly outdated but yet still deadly nonetheless. The Revolutionary Army spent much time and effort in their plans to achieve victory with officers leading seemingly brilliant offensives albeit some were countered by monarchist officers such as Calliverin who had been hastily promoted for his services. Soviet Myakka continued with its mass purges of anyone suspected of betraying their souls to the enemies of the Revolution with clergymen, businessmen, politicians, secretaries and average people all being harassed, tried and shot to death or forced to work in factories for the Revolution. Their children were sent to schools to be re-educated in the Red Gospel and some of them were beaten if they did not comply. Altair Turenne wrote this letter to Zen Redtooth:
"Chairman Redtooth,
The Myakkan Government thanks you for the sending of soldiers to our nation. We have established a small beachhead for you to land at so you may begin operations against the Revolutionary Army. We are holding on as best as we can but we are losing cities and land as we speak. These Communists seem to be gaining the upper hand.
Signed,
A. Turenne."
OOC: This is a Secret IC post that shows people who read this thread what the Communists are doing in the parts of Myakka they control. You know NOTHING about it ICly unless your nation somehow discovers their existence.
Labor camps had been established all through Soviet Myakka in the hopes that people would learn to better serve the Revolution if they had been found to harbor Monarchist sympathies. These camps were horrid and the prisoners languished in conditions far too brutal for some to endure. Men and women, husbands and wives, were all separated and many were beaten just for trying to steal a kiss or a quick embrace. Any pregnancies which occured were allowed to be had but the woman was forced to give up her child for adoption and she was forced to work harder as a result. Some women had children out of wedlock because they were raped and their husbands and boyfriends could do nothing about it lest they be punished severely for assulting servants of the Revolution. In the cramped confines of a workers' barracks, a young man writes a letter to his wife who has avoided the labor camps through her ability to mask any Monarchist sympathies she may have. It was written in good handwriting although the writer was suffering from problems such as health problems caused by the conditions of the camp. "Dearest Fiora, I have not been able to write to you that much due to the overbearing guards watching us with every minute that has passed and I have pined for you for so long that I am simply starved not of food but of you. I hope our little girl is okay and I hope that she is happy with you in the city of Marianopolis where you fled not long after the Communists seized our village. Dearest Fiora, I write to you because I fear that I may not have long to live. I may be dead soon or even as I write this letter to you. I ask that you would, should I die, take good care of our daughter and live as best as you can. The Communists can never fully take control of our lives because we are all given free will upon birth. I have often spoken out against them and I am rewarded for my use of the freedom of speech with suffering at the hands of the servants of the Revolution. A Revolution built on fear and suffering is merely an extention of the status quo under new management; it is not a change at all as they would make you have it. Fiora, woman above all others in my heart, if I am to die then know that I have died with you, our little girl, and Myakka all in my heart. I will be one of the dead; one of the many who will inevitably die for the Revolution's sake. I love you, Fiora."
The man has connections in the camp, the letter carriers, take the letter to his wife who awaits news of her husband's whereabouts while her husband is awoken in the early morning to work. Bravely, he refused to work any further and declares his total opposition to Communism. He is found guilty of crimes against the Revolution and shot at the back of the head not long after he shouts the name of his wife into the air. "Fiora!"

Lucia Marsden (http://www.languageisavirus.com/articles/images/anais.jpg) stood at the podium in the Marianopolis Community Center where she had been asked to make a speech concerning her views on the Communist rebels by intellectuals who wanted to make the people know about how people should struggle to maintain the Monarchy in the face of hypocritical rebels. Lucia Marsden was the girlfriend of John Flagman, that old college student who had led counter riots against the Communists and after his death she devoted her time to writing essays in favor of a Liberal Monarchy and had also declared herself celibate in honor of the love she still had for John. Dressed in a simple business suit and armed with a self defense pistol and her newest essay, Lucia Marsden adjusted the microphone before she began her speech. "The Communists have begun consolidating their power in the North with all their hypocrisies and lies spreading like wildfire across our beloved nation. The people are languishing in horrid conditions and children are losing their parents to the Red Plague. Communism cannot work successfully in practice as we have always seen but yet people have striven to do whatever it takes to kindle belief in the folly that it can work in more than just mere theory. My lover once said that Communism is the fool's dream and indeed it is one. The people of Myakka must be guided by the Monarchy which has always proven itself to be working for the benefit of all men and women. However, we must have one standard constitution which will regulate the powers of the Monarchy so that all men and women may have the basic freedoms given to them by natural law."
Lucia sipped from her glass of water before she continued. "It is my hope that the Myakkan Empire will become more liberal and corporatist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporatism) in the future so that it will prosper more than it has before. You have heard men like Milo Tolko tell you that Myakka must have a Second Renaissance and indeed that is what I ardently believe: it is time for Myakka to be reborn under the continued guidance of the sons and daughters of Gaspard Lanquesnet who founded our nation centuries ago amidst the Time of Chaos. The Communists led by the bastard Millone seek only to bring us to greater ruin then that which Myakka had centuries ago and I urge you all to reject them! Penelope Asan once said: "People will believe in whatever you tell them even if it is a lie." I urge you all to make sure that the majority of Myakkans do not fall prey to this bitter truth of life."
"Myakka must be reborn in a Second Renaissance so that the people may enjoy the fruits of the patriots' labor and the love of the women who struggle to make a living. The People and the Nation are one in the same, my friends, and to injure one of them is to injure the other and that is what the Communists are doing with all of their purges and imprisonment of innocent men and women. I urge you all now to fight for what we believe in...to fight in the name of Gaspard Lanquesnet, Sabrina Theran and the other legends of our nation. Fight! For Liberty! For Freedom! For Justice!"
The crowds cheered with such violent fierocity that Lucia Marsden was a bit irked by their display of affection and admiration for her words of condemnation and rebirth. Marsdenism had already been a term coined for the enigmatic woman's philosophy and many people desired the birth of a Marsdenist Myakka....a Liberal Monarchy albeit some wanted her, Myakka's version of Eva Peron, to lead the nation into that Second Renaissance.

RE: supplies and advisers
My men and I have captured a WA cargo ship filled with military supplies, which appeared to have been heading towards some god-forsaken country. If you have a port under your control, we can bring it in, using their equipment to bypass any obstacles with the help of your people. On the note of advisers, I have under my command at this moment 42 GRU Spetsnaz commandos, which are all battle hardened veterans, and experts in guerrilla warfare.
The WA cargo/transport was listing lazily in the sea, while the Spetsnaz operatives cleaned up the bodies of the former crew. Due to the rain, there was no need to scrub the decks, however some areas of the ship were a mess, such as one of the cargo holds which was the sleeping area for the bulk of the WA personnel. It took at least 2 hours to bag all of the corpses, and another hour to dump them overboard.

OOC: I am going to make a story out of this if you do not mind; based on the assumption that some of these chemicals could reach nearby villages.......
The Communist positions in the area were few but still heavily guarded enough to give any Monarchist a hard time trying to pave a path to the areas beyond. Calliverin hoped that the Puritanians would be able to help him pave a path to get supplies to his comrades in hard to reach places but was a bit amazed to see the use of chemical weapons. He loved the idea of causing Communists to die but not the idea of the chemicals unwittingly harming citizens including those citizens the Communists forced to be nurses, for example. The Communist positions were awakened by the smell of certain chemicals and they charged into battle while some of their men fell to the ground in much agony and pain. The Reds charged into battle with their AK-47s and Jeeps; firing violently upon the approaching Puritanian-Monarchist forces. Many Myakkan Monarchists fell to their deaths but they replied with their own violent charge. Never underestimate a Myakkan when in war; he will do whatever it takes to fight for what he believes in.

Your Highness,
It has come to the attention of our nation that your country is currently involved in a serious internal conflict. Pro-Communist forces are actively leading an insurrection against your government, and at the moment appear to be successfully pushing back Monarchist forces.
After careful deliberations with leading members of the Salzland Legislative branch, we are prepared to offer assitance to pro-Monarchy forces. This support will include, but not be limited to: funding, arms and munitions, supplies, advisors and deployments of the Salzland Defense Forces to ensure that this conflict is ended with a minimal loss of human life.
Though our nations have no relationship to speak of, a sizable portion of the Salzland population is able to trace its roots back to former Communist nations. Though in many cases today's descendants are far removed from these individuals, the legacy of suffering and misery imposed upon them by the followers of Marx, Lenin, Mao and others has not been forgotten. We will do everything in our power to ensure that such suffering does not extend to the shores of Myakka as well.
We request that you provide us with a list of any immediate needs that your forces may have (be they medical supplies, food and fuel, munitions, air support, etcetera) that may be provided in the interim as the Salzland Defense Forces begin to mobilize. A member of the Salzland Ministry of Defense is being detailed to co-ordinate our actions with your government, as well as any other allies that wish to assist in ending this Revolution.

Subject: Assistance

It came to my attention during the careful study of developments in this crisis afflicting my nation that you sent a message concerning how your nation was willing to help my nation and how your people know first hand the horrors of Communism when applied in practice because we all know that it is an epic failure when it comes to that point. Already we have seen our Northern provinces be consumed by the Red Menace, refugees storming our frontiers with their pleas for help and food, and with news that many people are suffering in the North. It is my hope that your nation will do anything it can to help us alleviate our suffering and defeat those who would seek to bring Myakka into ruin. The Imperial Court is very thankful for the assistance you can provide us and we request much military and economic assistance due to the Communists' plans to attack us on all fronts. I have already asked General George Avilon to lead relations between us on behalf of the Empire of Myakka; he is more than willing to help your forces adapt to the Myakkan environment and situation. Avilon has asked that your forces arrive at the Western Myakkan coast for a new offensive he plans to begin in the upcoming future. Myakkan generals are hopeful that they will be able to turn the tide of battle against the Reds and bring us to victory over them. I myself am prepared to do whatever it takes to defend my nation and I shall not cower in the face of Communist aggression. If I am to fall then I am to fall. It is an Emperor's duty to defend his people and if need be to suffer for them.
I hope that we may retain correspondence, President, and hopefully we shall be able to meet one day to discuss these days with words like: "We won the day, my friend, and hopefully we won't need to relive those days ever again."

General,
Per pertinent authorizations delivered by President William Phillips and the Salzland Council, we are initiating the deployment of naval, air and ground forces to support the Pro-Monarchist forces in Myakka.
Three carrier battle groups are currently making preparations to put to sea and take up escort positions for transport vessels preparing to take on 400,000 soldiers and an additional 300,000 logistics personnel (with additional support provided by Myakkan Monarchist troops), including multiple armored divisions and air wings. Detailed force breakdowns will be provided ASAP. In the mean time, we politely request any available information that is available concerning arms available to the Communist forces (SAM sites, naval forces such as submarines, aircraft, cruise missiles, etcetera) so that we can arrange our deployments in the safest possible manner.
Also, several detachments of Salzland Defense Force Marine Special Forces, and other special operations troops are being deployed to undertake actions behind enemy lines.
To close, I will say that our government shares the hope of one day meeting to celebrate victory, and national salvation for the people of Myakka.
Signed,

OOC: Foresters are based on the RL Forest Brothers in the Baltic States.
The FM soldiers had gotten their weapons out long before the group was in sight range. The CoD forces had their weapons up and were already prepared for some headshots. The Greywatch army forces held though, one of the soldiers came forward, "What the hell do you think you're doing? Do you have any weapons or a plan of attack? We were sent here to help quell the situation. I suggest you move back to a safe area and wait there, leave this job to those that make it their living." The soldiers were beggining to break into squads.
Mioya had rarely deployed its military forces overseas, and the last occasion had been the invasion of the Philipines alongside the Allies in WWII, quite some time ago. Even so the leaders of the Republic Armed Forces had plans in place against emergencies, which they had activated when the National Assembly had authorized a force deployment.
First, preparations for the actual deployment had to be made. Among other things choices had to be made regarding which units would be sent. Once that had been done, movement into the deployment area, logistics and so on needed doing.
Force selection was fairly fast. First was the 1st Light Infantry Battalion, Mioya’s primary infantry combat unit. In addition, a tank company from the 1st Tank Regiment would field its strength alongside the soldiers. A full Mobile Army Surgical Hospital of three hundred individuals and an Ambulance Company of about a hundred would be going. For security it was decided to send a Recon Company from the Reserves as well.
Finally, topping the logistics nightmare off, the 2 (Reserve) Brigade HQ was mobilized to hold command of the whole combined force, led by Colonel Youta Ikari.
In all, approximately 2,000 soldiers were being sent.
For movement to the deployment zone the Navy was forced to requisition civilian vessels in lieu of dedicated military transport hulls.
Before long, three requisitioned cargo haulers protected by two Republic Navy destroyers had left port, making a beeline for Myakka.

They all put their safetys on and lowered their weapons, for though in the backs of jeeps, BSF soldiers had their weapons primed at all times.
"When we get their Dee, Mao, and myself shall go in to meet the red leader, you lot, well do what ya like, but don't cause chaos, like usual!"
The jeeps pulled up outside the HQ, at a barrier, a soldier stepped out of a booth to greet them.
"We are teh BSF squads, your boss wishes to see us, may we come through?" called Vrahl over to him.

Capitol News Network Broadcast, Salzland
Rostgard Air Force Base
The broadcast opened with its lead story, 'Massive SDF Deployment Overseas,' featuring a mid-twenties female reporter standing just off a runway tarmac, struggling to be heard over the roar of dozens of jet engines.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, this is Jennifer Donner reporting live from Rostgard Air Force Base, home of the Salzland Defense Forces 1st Air Transport Wing. As you can see behind me, SDF troops are mobilizing for one of the largest overseas military deployments in the history of Salzland. Over 700,000 soldiers, sailors and airmen are gearing up to deploy to the Empire of Myakka in order to aid government forces in putting down a Communist-backed revolt. Earlier today we had the opportunity to speak with one enthusiastic SDF Marine, who had this to say."
"A lot of my buddies' families came here to escape the Communists. A lot of them have family members who didn't make it out in time and just 'disappeared,' if you know what I mean. Now you say that we have the chance to make sure another country never has to go through suffering like that? I say bring 'em on! Bring 'em all on!"
"While precise deployment timetables and locations are, of course, classified, we have learned that several Fighter Wings also based here at Rostgard AFB are already en route to forward bases located in the Empire of Myakka. A high ranking official in the Phillips Administration speaking on condition of anonymity also confirmed that SDF Special Forces units are also on the ground in Myakka, co-ordinating deployment plans with Monarchist forces and observing skirmishes between pro-Monarchy troops and the front lines of the Communist advance.
No one knows exactly when elements of the Salzland Defense Forces will enter combat with the forces of the so-called Government of Soviet Myakka, but at this point a shooting war appears certain. Though President Phillips declined an interview at this time, we are told that a speech announcing the opening of hostilities between Salzland and Soviet Myakka has been prepared, and is expected to be delivered at any time.
The Republic is going to war.
For the Capitol News Network, this is Jennifer Donner."

The captured ship continued it's bearing to Myakka after receiving more personnel from the SRCP military, along with plastic explosives. They were delivered by helicopter, taking off from a research outpost far off in the sea. The communications equipment was down, so they weren't sure who controlled the pier they were about to dock at. several of the men from the research outpost had WA uniforms on, and carried the guns that were available on the ship to make their disguise believable. Colonel Gurlukovich's men were in the cargo holds prepping the supply trucks of which the regular forces would drive to their destination. Their helicopters had radios which could contact the shore once they were close, so they could possibly get some answers.
A full moon rose over the city of Marianopolis to illumine the darkened streets with its bright light while the masses slept soundly amidst the cold winds that blew through the streets. The Imperial Court was dormant in the halls of the Imperial Palace with most of its members resigning themselves to a sort of hibernation, a sort of prayer, a sort of hope. It was a well known fact that Emperor Gaspard XIX brooded over the reports of his army's failures with emotionless sighs as he sat at the fireplace while his wife was busy sleeping on a loveseat. He had hoped that he would be able to end this Revolution early and quickly but it seemed like it was gaining more and more momentum every day of the weeks that passed. It haunted him and made him pray, at times, for Myakka's salvation from the Red Menace. Gaspard felt sorrowful as he looked upon the flames in the fireplace and felt his conscience urge him not to give up but yet a part of him wanted to fall into the hands of seclusion. That part of him wanted an end to this story even if it meant that Myakka would become a Communist nation. He could hear footsteps approaching him; boots of a colleague marching across the hallways with occassional stops to look upon the galleries of art that adorned the walls. The walls, if they could talk, would tell of much sorrowful conversations that had took place within the confines of the Court. "Minat? I know that it is you who has come to visit me."
"Thou art correct, Your Majesty." John Minat was one of Myakka's greatest military strategists and an ardently loyal Monarchist who was trying his best to defend all he held dear to him. He was also the Emperor's most trusted confidante in the military and was often consulted by both Gaspard and Laney for personal and military reasons. "I am sure you still want me to protect Zane and Ariel, correct?" John said with a smile as he looked around the solemnly quiet room to see old portraits of Gaspard XIX's ancestors and those of Laney who had once waged war alongside his own. "Yes....they must be kept in the confines of your home...with your wife and your own children. I do not want the Communists to find them." Gaspard said solemnly while adjusting himself in his chair; his large hands gripping the chair firmly as if he was tense. "Gaspard and Valerie are in the deep South, I assume? I am sure that we would be able to send them all to a friendly nation. One that is sympathetic to our plight."
Gaspard smiled. "I am sure we will find a way to spare them from our plight. I am more than willing to die in their place. John, you will be in charge of protecting my children. My wife and I shall trust you with their lives even if our own are ended. I want them to live happy lives....and I do not want any of them to see us suffer under Communist captivity."
John nodded his head in silent approval. "As you wish, Your Majesty, I shall protect them with everything and everyone as my disposal. I believe that Turenne and the others fled with them as well. They must be organizing resistance to the Communists in the Deep South. We already know that Lucia Marsden is also in the area as well if we are to trust our own agents. I must say that I admire Lucia...she's a headstrong and stubborn lass capable of many things."
Gaspard smirked. "Already I have lost my entire collection of books to those men who have taken them all to a safe location in the South and I miss them dearly since I used to read them whenever I had the spare time. Now I am stuck here in this palace to mourn the demise of my great ancestor's dream. All I asked for on my coronation was peace for all and good will spread among the people.....but now, as Ciny said, "I drink bitter gall as the sweet nectar escapes me." Those words of the great writer of days past fit so well, don't they?"
John nodded his head. "We can only hope that the nations which have sent us support shall be able to aid us crush the Communists once and for all. We must make sure that they regret ever starting this whole series of unfortunate events."
Gaspard smiled. "Look at some of those nations and see which one my children should flee to upon the demise of our faction and then get back to your offensive."
"Yes, Your Majesty. May Fortune smile upon us."
"Sorry but in case you didn't see, we just dropped in. If you've already conducted attacks then please lay out the general area. More of our forces are going to be here and I wanna get this place laid out and have a plan when they get here." The soldiers were chatting amoungst themelves as the new self-proclaimed leader spoke.
"We are currently in a forested area so you will have to take that into consideration if you will be planning an attack. We have not ventured too far but we have seen Communist pillboxes about a mile or so about ten minutes or so away from here. I suggest that you meet with Commander Sarah Londais since she is our leader. I'll take you to her."
The leader of the foreign soldiers was taken into the Forester band's bunker which looked rather plain and compact albeit comfortable for the occupants. It did not take too long for them to find Sarah Londais resting in her office with one hand twirling around her pistol while the other was holding up her chin. After a brief exchange of words in Myakkan, Sarah smiled at the foreign soldier and welcomed him. She looked quite frail and beautiful; suited for something like a career as a super model but she was very deadly and could easily dispatch a man or two. "I must say that I am pleased to meet you....perhaps we can discuss some....joint operations?" Sarah adjusted her bun before smiling. "Don't think I can't hold my own in a battle. I may look frail but I can handle battles. I've dispatched plenty of men to the next world or to nothingness....whichever."

General,
Per pertinent authorizations delivered by President William Phillips and the Salzland Council, we are initiating the deployment of naval, air and ground forces to support the Pro-Monarchist forces in Myakka.
Signed,

I recieved your letter with much trepidation and happiness in the hopes that our combined efforts would be of much influence in the current state of affairs so that we can bring salvation from the Red Horde to our beloved Myakka. The Emperor has already been notified of your nation's deployments and is pleased to hear about your nation's support of his administration. According to our intelligence reports concerning the Communists, they have several SAM sites as well as naval vessels and aircraft which were taken from us following the seizure of military bases and installations. They have been armed with modern weapons albeit many use old weapons from captured stockpiles such as the AK-47 which we have seen them use in skirmishes and battles all over our beloved homeland. Please do not hesitate to send me any more questions. I would write more but I must stop here.
Signed,
G. Malvais,
General of the Myakkan Army

0200 Hours, Local Time
Behind Enemy Lines
Four jet-black figures, blended almost perfectly into the twilight, darted through a small forest as fast as they dared without making noise. The sound of powerful diesel engines still carried on the otherwise-still night air, giving them a small window of opportunity to find their target for the evening.
"Bingo," one whispered, barely louder than a twig snapping underfoot. They had found exactly what they were looking for; a convoy of 20 resupply trucks and tankers loaded with vital supplies needed by the Soviet Myakkan forces that were even now pushing hard against Monarchist defensive lines. Something had to be done to stall the Soviets' relentless assault, or the Monarchists would be overrun before they had a chance to re-organize and repel the invaders.
That something would be provided by the SDF Marine Special Forces.
"Joker Two, this is Lima Actual, over," the commando whispered into his radio headset. "Twenty, repeat, two-zero targets spotted and ready to be painted. Call the beam, over."
Orbiting high overhead, practically invisible both to the naked eye and the odd SAM radar deployed this far inland, was a SDF B-2 Spirit. Before the war, the Myakkans had arrayed a vast majority of their SAM sites along the coasts, because that was where everyone had expected an attack to come. Now that the country was divided against itself however the Soviet Myakkans were vulnerable, if only temporarily, to aircraft coming from the South and operating over central Myakka. The weapons officer noted that four laser designators had activated on the ground below him. Each targeted one of the vehicles in the convoy, and would be used to steer in a 2,000 pound laser-guided GBU-2 cluster bomb.
"I read the beam, over. Bombs away," the bombadeer replied, tapping the weapon release button four times. The bomb bay doors swung open, briefly revealing the presence of the B-2 though there were no Soviet Myakka SAM sites in range that could lock on in such a short time frame, and four GBUs fell off. The bomber gently turned South, heading back towards friendly airspace in the off chance that there were any previously-undetected enemy fighters in the area. In the mean time the bombadeer guided each bomb towards its target, ensuring that the cluster munitions would disable or destroy as many enemy vehicles as possible.
A series of bright flashes lighting up the night revealed that their mission was a success, as the halted Soviet Myakka convoy was consumed by explosions. Neither bomber or ground team stayed around to admire their accomplishments, however. Both had more work to do before dawn arrived.

We are within visual range of your country, and need to know where to dock as to deliver the payload. From plain view the ship appears to be a WA transport frigate , however we wish to avoid any outside forces examining the ship closely.
The cargo we have for you contains several Stryker APC's, 10,000kg of Semtex, many pallets of ammunition, rifles, medical supplies and food, and several thousand Igla SAM units, which are best used against helicopters.
The Spetsnaz operatives on board checked their AKS-74u carbines in case of hostile attack on the ship. Once they had confirmation of the rebels coming to get their supplies, they would head towards their main base via choppers.
Any satellite that saw the mass of Lamonian ships would rightly guess that this was a troop convoy. If they could see the Stinson Class SSN's that were protecting the convoy in addition to the various surface ships, they would also know that it would be a useless gesture to attack the convoy.

Fully three-quarters of the entire Salzland air- and sealift capacity was being used to transport troops, equipment and supplies to Myakka, yet even this monumental effort fell far short of what was needed to expediently deploy 700,000 SDF personnel to the country. This meant that units would have to be committed to the fighting piecemeal, trading lives for time as the SDF built up its presence in Myakka. One such life on the line was Major General Thomas Jenkins, commander of the 3rd SDF Armored Division and the first General Officer to arrive in Myakka.
In order to save badly-needed space on the transport ships personnel were flown into Air Force bases in Southern and Western Myakka, then transported to the coast by rail or truck in order to meet their vehicles, supplies and other equipment. While it was less efficient than deploying everyone by ship, every square foot of space on those vessels was needed to cram in an extra tank, crate of food or ammunition, or hundred gallons of diesel fuel.
General Jenkins sighed as he stepped off of the C-130 that brought him on the 10 hour flight from Rostgard AFB in Salzland to Myakka, stretching aching muscles and taking in the surrounding environment. Cargo planes were in various states of unloading men and equipment, while those that were emptied were taking off back to their home countries as fast as humanly possible. Time was more than just a factor in Myakka, it was the factor.
As he continued striding down the tarmac, Jenkins was met by a handful of individuals dressed in the manner of Myakkan general officers. Jenkins snapped to attention, fired off a salute that was quickly returned, and introduced himself.
"General Thomas Jenkins, CO of the 3rd SDF Armored. Heard you have a Red problem, sirs. Our gear's still being shipped over, should all be here within 18 hours. Once it arrives we'll need 36 hours to unload everything, then we'll show you how Salzland fights. In the mean time, how may I be of service to you?"
The man looked at the other woman and at Sarah before pulling out a radio. "Team 3, tell the FM to start scouting the area. Make it quiet, go that? This forest should be perfect for them. "I was considering leading an attack on the nearest Communist stronghold and felt that perhaps your forces could assist us. The Communists often make sure to reinforce strongholds in this area so they can take any weapons and the like that Monarchists may bring to their struggling soldiers. The Monarchists here are struggling and they are struggling nationwide."
Sarah sighed before standing to reveal her full outfit which was a simple suit. "My hope is that one day we can crush the Communists but until then we must weaken them. Your soldiers could be valuable to us in the attempt to weaken them so that we can get soldiers from the Army to strike and don't think less of me because of my attire. We Foresters wear what we can get. I had to get this from a razed village.....one of many nowadays. Just like my own."

We are very thankful to recieve Lamonian support for our cause and have opened the harbors of the city of Port Arsena for you to offload your soldiers and equipment. The garrison commander there shall lead you to where you need to go but know that the province where the city is may fall soon without enough support. “You! To the left! To the left! That's the wrong left, you idiot!”
Colonel Youta Ikari watched as the MBT in question, a CZ5A1 Black Magic Woman, got itself sorted out and into the right position. He was standing by a Land Rover, observing a highly chaotic scene known in Army lexicon as debarkation. As he watched he was sure a lot of better names had been come up with, though none so polite.
“You! To the left! You! To the right! Laager right there!”
Ikari shook his head and sighed. Well, at least there hadn’t been any serious mistakes and his command was getting ashore, relatively speedily. Climbing into the Land Rover, Ikari looked at the enlisted man in the driver’s seat and made a forwards motion with one hand indicating he wanted to get going. He had ordered a meeting with his field commanders a little more than fifteen minutes from now. It wouldn’t do to be late. Then, he would try to locate the local Imperial commanders and divine a course of action.

They do not have any tanks in this area; all they have is some infantry and mortars. In my band's last attack we noticed that the pillboxes are covered with sandbags but with little slots for machine guns to fire through. I was wounded myself during that little escapade. I think that we will need to dispose of the machine guns first and then storm the rest of their defenses. The machine guns are pests which need to be eradicated before anything else can be done."

There is only one way to describe the roar produced by the hundreds of diesel engines operating within an Armored division. The Wrath of God made incarnate. This was the sound that met General Jenkins and his Myakkan companions, as the SDF 3rd Armored sat ready for war.
It had taken a Herculean effort to unload and unpack the entire division's equipment in a mere 20 hours, but the Myakkan logistics personnel moved like men (and women) possessed, only taking breaks to avoid collapsing on the job. Their desperate energy was contagious, and spread to the SDF troops aiding them. Though they ran the risk of burning out a substantial number of badly needed logistics staff who would soon face another 29 divisions from Salzland alone, the boost in morale was deemed necessary.
And it had succeeded beyond everyone's wildest dreams. Mere days before the 3rd had been embarking back in Salzland. Today they would deploy to the front as badly needed reinforcements, intending to first throw back a Soviet Myakkan assault at a crucial road junction along the Myakkan West Coast, then launch a limited counter-offensive.
Against a force that numbered in the millions, no one expected 10,000 men to single-handedly win the war. Not just stopping the Red tide but actually driving it backward, even if only temporarily, would provide a huge boost to the sagging Allied cause though. It was up to Jenkins and the 3rd Armored to provide that boost.
"Well gentlemen," he began, "I think the Reds have had the initiative for too long. I don't know about you, but I think they're due for a lesson in defeat."
OOC: Little post to move things along.

"It is really quite strange. I would have expected at least somebody to come here by now. Wouldn't you be a might concerned if some armed force landed in such close proximity to you, Captain?" Ikari asked his chief of staff as they briefly relaxed following several hours of work.
Captain Ichiro Ukyo (he was more traditional than Colonel Ikari, insisting upon keeping his name arranged in the old fashion) looked at his colonel and sighed in reply.
"I would be concerned sir, but perhaps that is what keeps them away from us here right now."
"Pardon?" Ikari looked at Ichiro, arching an eyebrow.
"They don't know who we are Colonel," Ichiro elaborated. "They are keeping a healthy distance for now in case we prove to be hostiles."
"Is that it, you think?" Ikari grunted. "I would have thought that local officials had been informed, for safety's sake."
"Well, this is a civil war, sir, and the situation is doubtless confused."
"No doubt," Ikari responded. "Well, everything is working out nicely here, so it looks like it's time we looked up the locals now."
Not thirty minutes later, five Land Rovers left the landing site carrying Colonel Ikari, a few staffers, and a single Light Infantry platoon. Taking great care to make it through the city while observing local traffic laws, the convoy worked its way into the city, moving toward the local government office buildings.
Not thirty minutes later, five Land Rovers left the landing site carrying Colonel Ikari, a few staffers, and a single Light Infantry platoon. Taking great care to make it through the city while observing local traffic laws, the convoy worked its way into the city, moving toward the local government office buildings.
The land rovers were moving through relatively empty streets save for those cars that were rushing to bring food and medicine to people throughout the city since rationing had been implemented recently throughout the area. Some locals who were out on the streets stared intently at the land rovers with some of them whispering words of fear and words of joy to one another. The land rovers would pass by the chapels of the city and could hear Myakkan chanting from them since people were resorting to prayer in the hopes God would alleviate their nation's sufferings and restore peace to the masses. The land rovers also happened to pass by an empty school which was closed down due to the conflict. Eventually they reached the office buildings of the local government where the mayor of the town was reading reports with his secretary studying messages. A group of soldiers spotted the land rovers and they marched immediately towards them with their leader demanding to know whose rovers these were.
The Lamonian troops had docked at port, and were moving off once they had shown up in company sized formations. Eventually all six divisions had offloaded, and were heading for the city perimeter. They could hear the fighting, and send some of their recon units towards it.
In the meantime, the command of the LEF was still aboard one of the ships that they had arrived on, and would be until a sufficient area had been secured. In the meantime, they were waiting for someone from the Myakkan Army to show up.
In the meantime, the command of the LEF was still aboard one of the ships that they had arrived on, and would be until a sufficient area had been secured. In the meantime, they were waiting for someone from the Myakkan Army to show up.
The streets were mostly dreary and desolate due to the harsh realities of war that gripped the once outgoing and lovely city without relent. Old cafes laid dormantly in wait for a day where they would be filled to the brim with joyful customers while soup kitchens fed those who could not afford the rationing which gripped their lives. The churches were filled with people of all ranks who prayed their hearts out in the hopes of finding solace within the realm of the Divine to whom they prayed for peace and safety throughout these dark times. A young girl was singing at a fountain for little children whose parents
wanted them to have some joy in their lives during these chaotic days. The Lamonian soldiers who went through the streets could see all of this as well as penhandlers begging violently for money, food and medicine. The Mayor of the town had been in his office trying to do what he could for the masses but at times he felt like nothing could actually be done. The Lamonian soldiers could hear the singing of the girl at the fountain; she was only fourteen but yet sung like she had years of experience. "Where art thou, O Fortune? Why hast thou showered us with bitter gall? I am weary, O Fortune, of the afflictions...save us all from the curses. Hope....I shall hope in the alleviation of my people's suffering."
The sounds of war echoed all around the city and it was not too hard for the Lamonians to hear them over the angelic singing of the girl who, at one time, pointed at the Lamonians with a smile. "Bitter tears fall across my rosy cheeks at the sight of our friends...who come to bring peace to the land. Fortune, smile upon these friends of ours who come to us. God, bless the land from which they came. People, swarm them with love and trust....and may I never cease to be thankful for whatever assistance they will provide."
People began to cheer for the Lamonians with such violence that they almost leapt at the soldiers in the hopes of showing their thankfulness and gratitude. Rose petals and confetti fell from the skies in celebration while the girl continued to sing. "Myakka, thy adversaries are numerous and thy enemies doth prosper. Myakka, thou children art desolate! Dearest homeland, why must ye weep! Seek the tender hands of our comrades! Find solace within their warmth. Perhaps....."
The girl fell to her knees and looked up to the sky and smiled. "Perhaps....we have found hope."
As they encountered the newly poor and destitute people of Myakka, the troops started tossing people the extra rations that they had brought with them for just such a contingency. They could see that the people were extremely greatful for the help, and they could not help but be moved by the plight of these war torn people.
One Lamonian officer, a Colonel asked for and got directions to the Mayor's office. "Hello Mayor. I am Colonel Henrick of the Lamonian 20th Mechanized Infantry Division. Is there any assistance that you might require?"
As the troops moved past the singing girl, One of them tossed her a ration, and another jumped off of his track, and started to distribute more rations from his track, which had stopped. With the rations distributed, he then started to enquire about the needs of the people gathered there.

Before the Mayor could even reply, a nearby man scoffed. "Are you blind?! We need, no, CRAVE assistance! Can't you see that those daughter raping, elder beating, treasonous beasts are attacking us?!"
The Mayor apologized before speaking. "That man summed it up albeit a tad differently from what I'd say, Colonel. We need support in terms of food, medicine and....defense."

The singing girl (http://www.tommy2.net/interviews/hollywood/miriammcdonald.jpg)immediately took hold of the ration and tearfully thanked the soldier while the people around her were crying tears of joy for the generosity of the Lamonians before they began shouting about their needs.
"They terrorize us!"
"They blockade us and prevent food and medicine from getting in!"
"They look upon our wives and daughters with lust!"
"Soldiers of Lamoni, please help us!" The singing girl shouted from the fountain. "Please...do whatever you can to help us!"

"Please don't become violent, there is enough supplies for all." Water packets were distributed in addition to the food rations, and the Lamonians attempted to distribute the supplies as equitably, and orderly as possible.
Fortunately, the soldier that the little girl had run up to was a combat medic. "Can you take me to your mother, little girl? I can help her if I know where she is. My name is James; what is your name?"

"We are already starting to provide food and water rations to your citizens, and we are bringing up our medics, who will be able to provide medical support. And our ground forces have already landed, and are working their way through the city towards the combat zones. We have brought six Mechanized Infantry Divisions, so we have plenty of people to spare in order to get this town back on it's feet again; while fighting the Communists that have been the ruin of this town, and the entire Myakkan nation.

While the division of Lamonian troops on that scene were doing what they could to help the people of the town, the other five Divisions were heading west as fast as they could, in order to secure the nearby airport. If they could capture and hold the airport, then they would be able to have Lamonian C-10 Minotaur Aircraft airlift supplies into the area, which would greatly improve the supply capacity for the Lamonian forces in the region.
Once the airport was secure, the troops would then locate and engage the enemy.

The Sonic Dingo Fighter jet soared overhead as it darted amongest the clouds. The pilot scanned the area as she noticed a town of some kind alive with people.
"Recon plane to Big Daddy, reconning the area and it seems there's several pockets of allied forces in the area. Can't tell who they are yet and there's an airport nearby," the pilot said into the intercom.
"Copy that Racoon. Report back to the Valient and prepare to land the walkers," replied a voice.
Half an hours flight from the capital
"This is Sky Admiral Mavis to any Allied Forces in the area. This is the 2nd and 4th Imperial Lynion Aerial Armada requesting current positions of Allied Forces," said Mavis on the radio on all frequencies before he stepped away from the radio.

The locals had christened this roadway the "Highway of Death," and it was hard not to see why they'd done it. Burned out vehicles and corpses were strewn everywhere, and the stench of rot and death hung heavily in the air. Many soldiers made the sign of the cross as they passed, in response to this image of Hell on Earth.
"What happened here?" one of General Jenkins' staff officers asked, taking in the brutal scene.
"5th Myakkan Mechanized withdrew through this area a week ago. Soviets figured that they'd catch them bottled up on the highway and wipe the whole unit out with artillery. What they didn't know was that the Myakkans had already cleared out before they could strike, leaving this highway packed full of civillians trying to follow. Apparently they shelled this highway up and down for an hour," Jenkins replied. He didn't need to add that, after the Monarchists discovered this scene, a sortie of fighter-bombers had seen to it that the Soviet Myakkan artillery in the area were turned into scrap. And that had only been the beginning of the bombing. After exactly one hour, every Soviet artillery unit and its immediate surroundings had been bombed so heavily that they looked like the surface of the moon.
"Let's keep moving gentlemen. Our road junction's just ahead, and Allied Command's radioing that the Myakkans are barely hanging on. Let's get up there and hold the line," Jenkins ordered. At least they'd have more help available; 4 more SDF divisions had geared up in time and would be joining the assault, along with substantial air support. Now it was up to the Myakkans to hold on for just a few hours more.

Admiral,
SDF units are currently concentrating along the West Coast of Myakka, in preparation to repel enemy forces and launch a counter-offensive. Currently 5 divisions are deployed and moving into battle, while another 10 are in various states of unloading equipment in ports along the coast. 15 additional divisions are either awaiting equipment or have not arrived from Salzland at this time. Air Force elements are deployed at various air bases throughout the Western region, providing Close Air Support, limited Strategic Bombing and Combat Air Patrols. Naval elements are stationed off the West Coast, providing air support for land forces as well as preparing for operations against Soviet Myakkan naval units. Due to security concerns, we will not comment on special forces deployments, however any and all SDF units deployed are monitoring Allied radio frequencies and will respond to Identify Friend or Foe queries with the code phrase "Watchdog."

Greetings, Sky Admiral. Lamonian forces are currently in the Port Arsena area, and are moving to secure the nearby airport. When responding to IFF queries, expect a reply of "Warbler" when Lamonian troops are present.
The Myakkan citizens who were swarming the Lamonians in order to get their hands on the rations were now assembled into an orderly line with children being first to get the rations. People were weeping and moaning and even the rich lamented when they discovered that their money would not be as useful as they hoped. One man looked at the smoke clouds gathering around the city and sighed. "What happened to our nation?"
The little girl of about eleven years of age smiled. "My name is Nadine, sir." Nadine led James towards the slums of the city and generally towards one of the many slumhouses. Inside James could see a middle aged man holding a sick woman's hand. She was very pale and her eyes were bloodshot. The man looked at Nadine and smiled. "You brought a medic? Hopefully he knows how to help my wife...she's quite sick and we can't get any medicine."
The Mayor smiled. "I would love to see us crush those Communists relentlessly so that we may once again live in peace and prosperity like we did before this whole mess got started. I am thankful for the support that the Lamonians have provided us."
The locals had christened this roadway the "Highway of Death," and it was hard not to see why they'd done it. Burned out vehicles and corpses were strewn everywhere, and the stench of rot and death hung heavily in the air. And that had only been the beginning of the bombing. After exactly one hour, every Soviet artillery unit and its immediate surroundings had been bombed so heavily that they looked like the surface of the moon.
Lucian Caret watched the Salzlanders bomb the Communists with a smile upon his face. He had been fighting the Communists since the entire conflict began and knew firsthand the suffering they had caused the masses to endure so horridly and he would never cease to advocate the eradication of the Red Menace even if it ended up with him dead. Lucian Caret smiled at his fellow officers before ordering some Myakkan soldiers to quickly take up positions in order to assist the Salzlanders deal some hearty blows to the foe.

OOC: I actually meant the Myakkan Air Force hit that artillery, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter.
IC:
The dull roar of automatic weapons fire, mixed in with the overlapping booms of artillery and tank shells were the first sounds to reach the 3rd Armored as they came upon the rear of the Myakkan lines. Not wasting a second, General Jenkins hopped out of his command Bradley as it pulled up to the Myakkan Command Post. Jenkins urgently needed to find out where his troops were needed; every second they waited gave the Soviet Myakkans one more chance to break the lines and push even further South.
A Myakkan 3-Star was standing above a map table as a constant stream of communications poured in and out. Not having the luxury of waiting, Jenkins announced himself.
"Sir, Major General Jenkins, 3rd Salzland Armored. Where do you need us, sir?" He asked, sure that this exact conversation was being held at other points along the line as the four other SDF divisions ready for operations arrived. Deep down, he could feel that this was a make or break moment for the Myakkans. Either they would hold the line, or the war would effectively end here as the Soviets gained a clear route all the way to the Imperial Throne.

"You already know me as Lucian Caret, General. I would like for us to immediately attack the Communist positions with plenty of bombardment from the air and artillery before we charge in with our tanks and infantry. We may be able to delay the Communists and provoke them, rather, force them to draw soldiers from other areas so we can get our Monarchist friends there to strike. We must draw a red hot iron across this land."

Of all the weapons present on the modern battlefield, nothing inspires fear in an enemy quite like artillery. One second, all is still and there is no danger. The next, the hand of God himself reaches down to smite with reckless abandon. Aircraft, though they can fulfill a similar role, can be seen. They can be attacked. Tanks, though awe-inspiring, have their vulnerabilities too. But artillery, the silent killer, can only be responded to in one way. Waiting, and praying that the next round is not for you.
Each SDF Armored Division incorporated 50 self-propelled M-109 guns. These were being loaded with Excalibur XM982 guided shells, and dedicated to smashing enemy tanks and armored vehicles. They held their fire for the moment, however, to co-ordinate a Time on Target barrage with the heart of the SDF artillery corps: the M-270 MLRS.
Each MLRS was capable of covering a square kilometer with submunitions, earning it the nickname "Grid Square Removal Service." In other words, each was capable of launching enough rockets in one minute to completely destroy any unarmored or lightly armored vehicles or personnel in a map grid. The Soviet Myakkans were about to receive a volley from 25 of them.
"All batteries ready to fire!" Came the call as the 3rd Armored's artillery commander, Colonel Tom Briggs, smiled.
"Let 'em have it," he ordered.
***
So far the Soviet Myakkan Air Force hadn't come out to play, which surprised Captain Paul Smith as his flight of F-22 Raptors orbited above the battle. For such a major offensive to have absolutely no air cover was incredible. Such a tactic hadn't been seen since the Battle of the Bulge, and that was only because poor weather grounded everyone's air forces, giving Hitler one small chance to salvage Western Europe.
But Smith would not complain about the Soviets' lack of air cover, it made his job that much easier. Since there were no fighters to keep away his flight was able to watch as a punishing artillery salvo erupted from the Allied lines, smashing into the advancing Soviets. On top of the rockets and shells landing among them, ground-attack variant F-15E fighters swooped in during brief respites in the shelling to add in the odd cluster bomb or Hellfire missile. The entire Soviet line was marked with burning tanks and APCs, and the infantry casualties must've been horrendous. Yet still they came on, and to Smith's trained eye it still looked like they had the numbers to take the objective.
"Hawkeye One, this is Surf Daddy, over," Came the call from his flight's dedicated AWACS broadcaster. "Bogies moving in, unknown number and classifications. It's big though, 40+ contacts at 280 degrees, 40 miles."
With that, it was time for Captain Smith to enter the war.
The Soviet Myakkan positions were being decimated by the Salzlanders' massive barrage of artillery and aerial fire but such carnage did not stop many of the Communists who survived from continuing their attack against the servants of the so called capitalist oppressors as their mission in life was to bring Myakka the gospel of Communism and if they died in the attempt then so be it. Many of them were already rotting and lifelessly waiting for the vultures while their comrades struggled to maintain their positions. This whole spectacle made Lucian Caret not only smile but laugh in joy as he watched from the sidelines. He wanted the Communists to suffer for everything they did to his people and if it meant that the wrath of God, the massive assualt of the Salzlander, should be sent after them then so be it. He wanted them to suffer and ordered that his soldiers join in the fun as the Myakkan artillery began to fire. Soviet Myakkan fighters soon appeared in the air only to be either shot down within a couple of minutes or going into dogfights with their enemies. Caret's anti-air guns blasted away many of the fighters and Caret was pleased with their ruthless work. "Let them die! Let them die! Kill them all!"
Caret remembered fully well what the Communists did to his hometown and how many of his friends vanished to be never seen again as far as he could know. He had been able to survive with his family only because they were all in a Monarchist town further south. He loathed the Communists for their purges and death camps and would make sure that he died in the knowledge that many of them died because of him. He then wired a communication to the Salzlanders:
"Let us attack them with ruthless aggression! Let's wipe them out!"

"Good, the dirty communists are starting to get pushed back." He said as he turned off the TV.
"Still, your Highness, we should move forward." Said Appius Cassius Aculeo, head of the Areani (Rathani spy agency/secret police).
"Of course, Cassius, begin infiltrating your agents into colleges around Rathanan and weed out any and all possible communist suspects... We won't have this Marxist nonsense in this country." The Holy Emperor ordered. "In the mean time, I have a meeting with my generals, so go about your business, Cassius."
Cassius bowed before the Emperor and left in a hurry.

"Gentlemen, I want to enter this conflict on the side of the Monarchy, obviously." The Emperor said to his generals.
"How many Legions are we talking about, your Highness?" The Supreme General, Lucius Flavius Cornicen asked.
"Four: the Tenth, the Twentith, the Thirty-sventh, and the Fifty-fith." The Emperor responded. "Also, we shall offer the Sixth and Tenth fighter squadrons from the Air Force." He added. "Any questions?"
All the generals shook their heads and bowed before the Emperor before leaving, it wouldn't be long before the Legions and fighters were deployed.

"Sir, message from General Caret."
"Let's have it," General Jenkins said, looking over his radio officer's shoulder as he hastily scribbled the communique down. Jenkins was back in his command Bradley, co-ordinating the fire of over 300 M1A2 Abrams tanks, an equal number of M2A3 Bradleys, and the Anti-Tank infantry of his dismounted troops.
"Let us attack them with ruthless aggression! Let's wipe them out!" he read, as a wolfish smile found its way to his face.
"Looks like General Caret fancies a race to the sea then. Well, we may not have the numbers today, but now's as good a time as any to start. My order to all units, advance. Co-ordinate our actions with the other SDF units, make sure we've got our flanks covered. And see if they can bring the Myakkans in their sectors along too. There's a good defensive position twenty kilometers ahead, and I want our CP to be on it by nightfall. After that we reinforce, re-arm, resupply and see what tomorrow will bring us."

Dusk found the 3rd Armored sitting astride their low line of hills, hastily digging entrenchments and tank dugouts in preparation for a Soviet counter-attack. The assault led by General Caret's Myakkan troops had been a smashing success. Casualties were light, the enemy troops were disorganized, and the heavily-reinforced Allied lines now extended twenty kilometers into Soviet territory. All in all, a good day.
"Sir, 2nd Brigade reports their resupply is complete. All units are ready to move out," General Jenkins' aide reported. Now came the time for a difficult decision.
The SDF units had operated almost non-stop since arriving in Myakka three days earlier. They had little sleep, barely any time to eat, and had been in combat for close to ten hours. There was no question his troops were exhausted, and in need of a rest. The same could be said for the other four SDF Divisions that had taken part in today's counter-offensive, along with the Myakkans, who had been fighting for even longer. 'Can we even continue the attack?' he thought to himself.
On the other hand, letting the Soviets have the night to regroup would mean that they would be that harder to defeat once the Allies took to the offensive again. And the SDF equipment, all top of the line, gave them a huge advantage over the Soviets when fighting at night. Jenkins weighed the options carefully in his mind, before coming to a decision.
"Get General Caret on a secure channel, ask him how many of his troops are able to keep up the fight. Call up the other SDF division commanders too, see if they're able to keep moving. If we can get more than a couple of divisions together, we keep up the attack. We can't afford to let the Soviets regroup."
Many Myakkans had studied political philosophies since the days of the Renaissance since everyone had new ideas to discuss and share back then and the time of the civil war was not really different as many people debated ideas even if most of them ended up ostracized or dead in ditches. In the Monarchist areas that remained firmly under the control of the Crown, a small group of Myakkan fascists was formed under the name of the Gelmerites in honor of their leader, Makain Gelmer, an infantry officer who not only fought in the Myakkan Civil War before the significant rise in foreign involvement but who also vehemently condemned Communists with violent passion as parasitic vermin who polluted Myakkan minds with their repugnant doctrines. Many people from hardline militarists to devoted monarchists joined the Gelmerite cause until the group, officially known as the White Tigers, grew into being quite the popular alternative to the Monarchists whose patrons included intellectuals such as Lucia Marsden and other factions as well. Gelmerites were not usually seen publically until Makain Gelmer decided to give a public speech at a community center in a Myakkan town. The meeting was held in the night and the audience was composed of people of all political beliefs including Communists who dissented with the Millonists. Gelmer was dressed in a simple black tuxedo with his handsome looks not tampered with. He smiled as he walked towards the podium to deliever his speech. "Brothers and sisters of Myakka....we are living in dark times. These days of chaos and turmoil have filled our hearts with fear and consumed our souls with despair and our people continue to suffer and die in the streets and on the battlefields. Who is to blame for the series of unfortunate events since that student rebellion? I tell you that it is none other....than the Communist."
At this point the Communists in the crowd are irked. "We have seen the rise of these parasitic vermin who pollute our nation with their heresies aimed at turning our nation into a third world hell hole. It is their fault that our people suffer and die. Was it His Majesty that started the war? No! Was it the Jews? No! It was the Reds! Subhuman disease ridden degenerate scum who walk among us all in service to their Revolution. How many people have suffered in this world since the Communist ideology was born in 1878? Millions! They all suffered at the hands of these so called saviors of the Proletariat! They serve themselves! Look at all Communist leaders today and what do you see? Bullshit! My friends, Communism IS bullshit! A Communist says that there should be a classless society but let us point to Bulgislavia in response. Consider how the average Bulgislavian lives his day. Does he have any political rights? Nope. Any civil rights? Nope. Any economic freedom? Nope. Who are his leaders? Ion the bastard and Irena the whore! They are leeches who suck the nation dry! They live in splendor while the people live in poverty! Does this sound like Communism? No...it sounds like total hypocritical bullshit! Trotsky, albeit a deluded fool, was right to criticize the Stalinists for their deviation from the path of Communism. The words of Miron Dolot (OOC: a Ukrainian writer who wrote a book about his experiences during the Holodomor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor); the Ukrainian Famine) PROVE to us that Stalinism is nothing more than mere totalitarianism masqueraded around like a whore with red lingerie. Stalin was basically fucked nothing more than a murdering psychopath who at least took the time to industrialize the land he cruelly reigned over; ironically like the Tzars that Lenin, another deluded fool, fought against. Russian Communism was simply Tzarism without the Tzar and Chinese Communism was basically nothing more than the words of Emperor Mao of the Zedong Dynasty."
The Communists began to shout and debate amongst themselves but Gelmer continued. "Myakka needs a second renaissance, a National Revolution, a nationwide reform that will bring about a New Order for all men and women. I must tell you all that Fascism can save Myakka from Communist hypocrisy and other delusions. I am a Fascist Monarchist and proud of it! We must support both the ideals of Fascism and the Crown which men and women are dying for as we speak. Pride is a weapon which should be used to kill the Communist plague. The only cure for Communism is persecution! We must eradicate Communism. Gentile and Jew, man and woman, Monarchist and Republican....let us all unite to fight the Communist menace! Any man or woman who believes in Communism is a traitor to Myakka and must be ruthlessly persecuted. It was once said: "To punish the oppressors of humanity is clemency; to forgive them is cruelty." Take those words to heart! For Communism is an oppressor of humanity which does nothing more than kill and slaughter innocent people."
Gelmer smiled before he took out a copy of the Communist Manifesto. He threw it to the ground and spat on it before stepping on it to crush it with his boot. Picking it up, he then lit it on fire and smiled as it burned. "Peniel once said: "If there is no Hell, we must make one." I urge you all to take those words to heart as well. We must make a Hell for these Communists. We must make them suffer and die. We must make them pay for their sins. We must make them repent so that they may see the light. "The wages of sin is death." said St. Paul. If we convert to Communism then we shall recieve death."
Gelmer then threw the burned book away and watched as the crowd ignited into anger. "Soon," he thought to himself. "Communism will be extinct in Myakka....good riddance to blood soaked bullshit!"
OOC: My first swears in a post. :eek2: Basically, expect more from the Gelmerites soon. :)
The aerial destoryers were coming over the the open plains as they escorted a heavy transport carrier. One aerial cruiser was following behind them as they passed over the capital.
"The Spider Walker is ready to land sir," reported in a corporal as the captain boarded the walker.
"We're expecting to land soon and the battalions is a few minutes behind us. Keep our operations to a low..." started the captain.
"Sir, with respect, thats impossible with a 20 foot Spider Walker nearby and a squadron of aerial destoryers and an aerial cruiser. With also aerial transport carriers as well, that's like sneaking in an elephant into a mice encampment," interuppted his lieutenant.
At that moment the Spider Walked was deployed onto the ground. The captain, lieutenant and the corporal ventured into the bridge as transport carriers started deploying the battalion nearby.
"This is Sky Vamperial Captain Mitchell to any Coalition Forces in the area. We've just landed outside the capital and requesting to find out how far the enemy is from here," said Mitchell into the radio on Coalition Frequencies.

The skies of Myakka
The five Il-76 planes shuddered as the storm intensified. Although the tree tops were close to them (they were flying to avoid radar detection), the planes could not see them. A dozen Mig-1.44s flew out ahead of them.
"Condor 6 this is Blackbird 5. Prepare to empty."
One by one, the cargo doors of the planes opened. They were deep in rebel territory: only a few miles from a large military base found by satellites.
"This is Blackbird 5. You may now empty."
One by one, the cargo planes dropped their massive loads of cargo. A white parachute with a gigantic red star appeared on each of the packages as they floated to the ground.
"Mission accomplished. Return to the nest."
The packages contained valuable materials for the revolutionaries: 3 of them were loaded with thousands of Type 79 rocket launchers (http://www.sinodefence.com/army/small_arms/type79rocket.asp). One package was loaded with a mix of FIM-92 SAMs and AT-7 Anti-tank launchers. Each of those weapons had several extra reloads. The last package contained hundreds of Ak-108 assault rifles and a sizable amount of 5.56 NATO ammunition. High Command figured that 5.56 NATO might be much easier to find then 7.62 Soviet, considering it was probably what the Monarchist's Allies used.

"This is Sky Vamperial Captain Mitchell to any Coalition Forces in the area. We've just landed outside the capital and requesting to find out how far the enemy is from here," said Mitchell into the radio on Coalition Frequencies.
"The Communists are very far from here but continuing their steady advance with every day that passes. This is John Minat from the capital, Marianopolis. Please make positions in the capital. We need to fortify it."
The transport carriers picked up the walker as they flew overhead. A squadron of Hunter Fighter Jets and the new fighter jet class Hurricane Squadrons soared overhead to aid Coalition Forces that were retreating back to the capital. However, the Lynion's were determind to hold the line and break the Communist advance with little gift for the Coalition Forces.
The Spider Walker dropped outside the capital as the transport carriers unloaded two divisions of infantry, battle tanks and artillery pieces to be used to defend the capital. In addition, the bulk of the aerial armada would be stationed around and in the capital while the defense's were being perpared to turn the capital into a fortress.
"This is Mitchell to Minat, we've just landed outside the capital and we're perparing to fortify much of the capital as possible. We're expecting a larger aerial armada and more military corps to come within the next few hours and our numbers will be around 300,000," said Mitchell on a secured line to Minat.

It was a sunny mid-afteroon, the 9 large jeeps pulled into the large, mostly desolate city, "Next stop, the HQ, should be about 10 minutes away, put your weapons away, we don't wish to startle them!" Shouted Vrahl.

OOC:
In case you missed it. Sorry in advance if I'm just being bothersome. I just don't want to be left by the wayside, so to speak, if you know what I mean.
The Myakkan Revolutionaries had largely kept their hands out of the pot that was religion ever since they had emerged to wreak havoc upon the land in the name of the People they felt they served. Christians and Jews (the dominant religious groups in Myakka) lived their lives as they would have under a Monarchist regime with their days of worship not being disturbed by radical atheism. It was now decided, however, in a meeting of the Communist elite that new measures would be adopted. The Myakkan Catholic Church was officially to be brought under significant State control (OOC: like in RL China) under the banner of Communist Gallicanism. Any Catholics who protested faced severe punishment as enemies of the people. The Myakkan Jewish communities faced their own problems such as the merging of all Jewish associations into one which angered many Jews of the different denominations. Ultra-Orthodox Jews protested their forced association with alleged deviants. The Church of Myakka was brought under complete State control with the Archbishop of Myakka being imprisoned after he was found guilty of expressing anti-Communist sentiments. The Archbishop languished in a prison which was actually quite comfortable even if not meant for a servant of God who simply expressed his God-given right to free speech. He was replaced by a man considered illegitimate by many since he was appointed by the Communists who were not considered to be the legal rulers but rather people who committed mass treason. All schools were secularized in the name of unity with religious schools being abolished by State decree. The rights of the people given to them by the Emperors of past days were slowly being replaced and forgotten. Myakkan Jews were still able to get their hands on kosher food and their kids in yeshivas to learn the ways of their forefathers.
Thomas Millone, in a speech given to the Party elite, said that these measures were taken to ensure national unity and that Myakka's government would become avowedly atheist; there would be NO religious references at all in anything and it was even forbidden to swear upon the Bible. One had to swear to the People that they would be telling the truth. Religion in Myakka was being forced into catacombs and Jewish neighborhoods. Millone did not seem phased by people's dissent with the new policies since he was ardently believing that it was all for the best. Tele-evangelists who disagreed with the Communists simply vanished with their shows being replaced with more "acceptable material."
OOC: Just a post that describes what is happening to religious groups in Communist held areas.
While the Monarchists continue to struggle to maintain their positions in the face of overwhelming Communist aggression, Makain Gelmer was plotting to conduct a series of terrorist attacks in Communist held areas in support of the oppressed masses who he claimed to be working for with all his heart and mind. The men, ardently loyal followers indeed, went out to their respective cities to look for their targets which included people and military bases occupied by the Communists. Gelmer, on the other hand, went to Marianopolis to speak about the need for a National Revolution against not only the Communists but also other undesirables such as sex offenders who, to Gelmer, were blocking the way to social progress. In an ideal Myakka, a sex offender would be hanged, the Communist would be shunned, and the people would live in peace. In Soviet Myakka, a string of terrorist bombings and assassinations occured with important Communist leader Janet Pardes, leader of the Women's Revolutionary League, being raped and murdered by an unknown assailant; although it is said that Gelmer himself ordered the murder but not the additional rape. Miss Madyson had been stabbed repeatedly with a knife and tortured to death in a brutal fashion. Her corpse was found hanging in her bedroom with a sign around her neck: "I betrayed Myakka."
It did not take long for other Communist leaders, albeit not really major ones, to end up brutally murdered in their homes. Vigilantes began to rise up against Communist soldiers who claimed immunity from the law as servants of the Party with their corpses hanging from trees. Such murderers, when captured, were obviously executed but others simply replaced them and so on in a great cycle of bloodshed. Makain Gelmer smiled with every report that he recieved of a successful bombing or assassination and, after many had died, decided to deliver a nationwide speech which was broadcasted to people in Soviet areas through pirate radio stations. Gelmer's voice was disguised and he was referred to only as M.G.
"People of Myakka, I am M.G; the orchestrator of the multitude of murders and bombings conducted throughout Soviet Myakka. It is not my intention to kill innocent people but to punish the Communists for their mass treason. They have shed loyalty in exchange for absurd claims about how society should be governed. They kill and rape in the name of their so called Revolution. They have forbade people to believe in what they want; taking their free will away from them. They have done nothing but cause suffering and lamentation. Yet, my friends, some people consider them to be righteous people. Have you not seen Communist hypocrisy around the world? Have you not seen how the bastard and whore govern Bulgislavia? Have you not seen how the Communists turn nations into degenerated workers' states wherever they take power? A degenerated workers' state is the inevitable end of a Communist Revolution. A Communist state, my friends, is nothing more than the masses serving the Party in a corrupt oligarchy maintained by brute force. Communism is nothing more than a plague cast upon humanity by deluded fools. Fascism, my friends, is where Myakka's salvation lies. It is Fascism that shall guarantee a future for Myakkan children and which shall bring them into prosperity as we, this generation, go into the Next World. Fascism shall bring workers and owners together as one and shall bring back those liberties which we Myakkans have relished for centuries. The Communists must be stopped at once lest our nation fall into the abyss. Do you not think that they will bring about a massive purge and that our nation will be invaded in response? Communism must be destroyed so that Myakka may live. I have a dream, my friends, in which Myakka sheds the yoke of Communism and runs into the arms of the Fascist. A true Fascist cares about his nation and those who live in it. Christians and Jews, Men and Women, Rich and Poor: we are all Myakkans and we should unite as one to crush the Communist hordes. I urge you all to fight for your liberty which is under threat as I speak to you through the radio and on the televisions. I urge you to do what is right. Do you want a Communist nation? Do you really want one? Join us, the Fascist Party, and together we shall build Myakka and bring it into peace and prosperity. The Myakkan nation must be reborn under the banner of Fascism."
After a brief pause, the speech continued:
"It was I who ordered the assassinations and murders. It was I who orchestrated the murder of Janet Madyson albeit I did not order the rape that preceded it though she brought it upon herself as a traitor to our people. A traitor is mere trash which should be disposed of. She, my friends, was mere trash and was disposed of. A traitor, according to the law, must be executed. The Communists will call me a traitor to the People but I say that that I serve the People more then they do. A Communist is a red colored oligarch who serves himself and the Party elite. Do you not think that Irena and Ion, the leaders of Bulgislavia, dine on fine wine and steak while the people eat little food at all? Of course! God forbid that Myakka should end up a shithole like Bulgislavia. The Communist is but a pest, a mosquito that sucks the blood from our nation. He must be squashed. I do not believe that female Communists should be immune to ruthless persecution. They, too, must be taught their lesson. Any Communist, male or female, must either repent or be destroyed. As of this moment I am ordering further attacks on Communist bases and assassinations of important Communists. I apologize to the wives and children of those people whose lives were ended by my men but they should know that we will not allow them to ruin Myakka. I urge those families to join us and convert to Fascism. Do not let yourselves be the next victims! Before I end my speech, I must state one more thing: If you are a Communist then you are committing treason against Myakka. You are supporting the extermination of dissidents, families, clergymen, intellectuals, artists and other innocents. Do you know what happens to the families of the prisoners executed? They are murdered as well; raped also in the case of the women and girls, for even underage girls are privy to such horrid events. I must tell the Communists who are listening to this speech to repent and come to us in friendship. We shall accept you if you repent of your treason. If not then we shall come at you with a mighty vengeance. We shall eradicate you. We shall kill you in the name of the people who have died at your hands. We shall do whatever it takes to ensure you die. Janet Madyson's fate will be given to many more female Communists in the future if they do not repent. Repent for the Vengeance of the People is near! Repent for we are near!"

Father Talon was a middle aged Catholic priest who ministered to the needs of the parishoners in the small village of Luwyk where he had lived all his life under the guidance of his devout parents. He had often seen the village Communist authorities making speeches about how religion was the opiate of the masses and how the rich, the kulaks, were ruining the lives of the humble villagers even though most of them never really knew any rich people save for those who simply had a larger farm for example. When Talon was delivering a sermon at the village church, he could see Communist spies standing around with their eyes fixed upon him. "It is essential that we remain firmly planted in our faith despite the aggression of the Communists towards us. We should not bow before them but rather resist. Resistance is an art which anyone can do well."
The Communists began to make their move as Talon spoke. "The Communists have done nothing more than ruin our lives. They infringe upon our rights and those of the Jews and Protestants....."
Before Talon could finish speaking, a Communist man spoke. "You are committing an act of treason. Stop now or you shall be executed immediately."
Talon simply walked down from the pulpit and stared into the Communist man's eyes with a smile. "Do as thou wilt, and take me away, for I shall not stop speaking because I am not committing treason. I serve the Emperor and no one else."
The man then nodded his head before ordering soldiers to take Talon out of the building; at this time he was uttering a prayer to God in the hopes that he would be recieved into Heaven and that the villagers would be spared. Within minutes, gunshots could be heard from outside. The Communist man then walked up to the altar and, to the outrage of the citizens, began to throw the chalice and other items around. The citizens began to charge at him to get him to stop but the man simply said: "Fire."
The soldiers opened fire inside the church at the citizens; men, women and children falling to their deaths while some were able to get out alive only to be shot as they ran. A seventeen year old boy and his thirteen year old sister got out alive as two of the survivors. The others were all dead with blood sprayed all over the walls while pictures of the Virgin Mary and Jesus on the Cross watched in inanimate silence. The commissar smiled as he ordered his soldiers to set fire to the church. The village of about 1,500 lost about 50 people in the massacre while the boy and girl lost their parents. It was their father who led the charge and their mother who was shot dead while making the sign of the cross as she shielded her children. The winter had fallen upon the village and the boy and girl ran across the fields out of the village to find a way into safer pastures. The girl wept violently while the boy urged her to run as fast as she could with him. They were now orphans too scared to go back to their village for fear of being detained as the children of political enemies.

Join us, the Fascist Party, and together we shall build Myakka and bring it into peace and prosperity. The Myakkan nation must be reborn under the banner of Fascism.
"General..."
"I hear it Corporal. I wish I hadn't, but I did," General Jenkins replied sadly. His troops, though at the edge of collapsing from exhaustion, were preparing to move out and continue to press the Soviet retreat. The objective was to continue feeding Allied units into the advance until the Soviets broke at some point, turning retreat into full-blown rout. That would cause the loss of the entire Western flank of the Soviet line, giving the Allies a clear shot into the heart of Soviet Myakka.
But the prospect of a Fascist uprising turning this war into a vicious three-way battle, with the foreign contingents in Myakka caught in the middle, was not what anyone had signed up for. Some very hard choices would have to be made in the next few days, and General Jenkins was positive that he was facing one of them right now. Even if they broke the Soviets here, would it be worth it to trade one foe facing them across well-defined lines of battle for a nation-wide Fascist insurgency?
"Get General Caret on the line. I want to know how many Myakkan troops are physically capable of pressing this attack. And try to find out whether he heard the broadcast from this 'M.G.' character, and what his views are. Be discreet. I need to know if we're going to get a knife in the back after taking out the Soviets."
OOC: Since it was portrayed as a nation-wide broadcast, figured it wouldn't be hard for my troops to intercept it.

OOC: I would not mind if all foreign soldiers in Myakka were able to intercept the Fascist message. The Fascists are really just anti-communists who want to make a new Myakka based on Mussolini's Italy, etc.
General Caret had been calmly studying the bunch of reports and maps that were on his desk in the makeshift base he had established for his own use. From here he had planned all the attacks made by his soldiers in the name of revenge. He wanted nothing more than the complete restoration of Monarchist rule nationwide and thus he was called a hardliner by many in the Myakkan Armed Forces but many of them, though, shared his zealous anti-Communism and their desire for peace through war. When Caret had heard the message of the Fascists, he had been amused. He may not have agree with the tenets of Fascism but he fully supported their blatant anti-Communism. That was something he could very much agree upon. It did not take long for him to get the message from the Salzlanders which made him smile. He had the following reply dictated to the Salzlanders:
"We have plenty of troops to spare for the attack albeit we will need to keep some back here for defensive purposes. Yes, I did hear the words of M.G and I don't really agree with his doctrines albeit I fully share his anti-Communism. Anything else you require?"

OOC: Sorry to all if I miss your posts. I try my best to be on as much as I can and I try to keep everyone's posts replied to.
Sarah smiled at the soldiers who arrived before looking at the soldier she was previously talking to. "So, my friend, shall we work together to smash the Communists?"
The man nodded, "Indeed. My men are ready to assist in any way they can. All squads should be ready to move out immediately."
"Fireworks. come with me, the Colonel is inside."
The sailor led the men onto the deck of the ship, where they were joined by several Spetsnaz soldiers. A heavy-weight man of about 50 approached them.
"The supplies are below the deck inside a number of trucks. Many amounts of munitions and essential supplies are included as well. Once we get the ship emptied, some of my men are going to take it near where we hi-jacked it and scuttle the ship. I am Colonel Sergei Gurlukovich of the SRCP military, and I am instructed to meet with your leader."
"Our leader is miles away but we can get you to him. This entire area and, indeed, the route to our leader's base is all clear for supporters of the Great Revolution like yourself. Come, follow us, we'll take you to his base. He must be expecting you."
OOC: Just say you got at the base and I apologize for missing this.
ooc: Sure, go ahead.
The Puritanians hadn't expected too much resistance yet. So the attack was halted and the heavy artillery began its work; tearing through any buildings, vehicles and people caught in the barrage. After the barrage was over and tanks had arrived, the attack continued.
OOC: I was sure I replied to this....
The Communists were falling to their deaths under the Puritanian onslaught but many of them just kept charging until they got pumped full of hot lead but still they kept on charging towards the Puritanians even if it meant that they would die. Communist mortars rained down upon Puritanian positions while snipers aimed for soldiers' heads.....
The man nodded, "Indeed. My men are ready to assist in any way they can. All squads should be ready to move out immediately."
"Then let's get started! Rise, Foresters!" Sarah's men immediately rose up and were armed to the teeth. "Shall we depart? I want to kill those bastards."
That one, if it has been replied to, my mistake, sorry, but I can't see a reply on the pages following it.
OOC: Here is a reply. We can just continue from here.
IC:
The Burtilanians were easily able to get through security because they were identified as the earliest supporters of the Revolution during its student led phase and because Millone and Calavera, the elites of the Party, were quite fond of them. When they got into Millone's quarters, a simple, compact and grey colored room adorned with Communist posters, images and so forth, they noticed the man himself.

OOC: Sorry for missing this one.
The cargo that dropped from the skies fell upon what appeared to be a Communist military base recently captured from the loathed Monarchists. They jubilantly took the cargo and trained themselves immediately in how to use it so that they could put it to use against their enemies in the heat of battle. The weapons were added to the stockpile and the Communists, well some of them, waved to the cargo plane as it flew over them in jubilant celebration and thankfulness. To them, it looked like many nations had come to support their crusade against the Monarchy but the question was still the same: "Would they win?"

Telegram from Ascelonia:
"We apologize for the inconvenience, but our government is not ready to supply military aid."
OOC: I apologize, but this is because I might want to start my own RP, which relies on me not having a military.
News continued to pour into Mephras about the various atrocities committed in the names of ideologies such as Fascism and Communism. The government had decided to watch the situation closely, however it was generally not eager to involve itself in the affairs of foreign states, especially those relatively unknown to Mephras.
However, as the weeks passed, conditions began to develop which suggested that this situation was not going to solve itself, as foreign aid and troops began to flood into the country. Even worse was the news of the continual threat faced by the monarchy, who moved ever closer to the brink as anti-royalists approached the capital. As a fellow monarchy, this affront to the natural gifts and rights of the nobility was taken extremely seriously.
While Mephras had decided to act, it still faced many questions, such as exactly how would they intervene. Of course they wanted to help the monarchy, but they also wished to see an eventual return of stability to the nation. And if Mephrasian influence were to spread by these actions, the government would of course be delighted.
Anthony Summerhill, the current Prime Minister, decided to call for special meetings with key officials, both civilian and military, hoping to create a plan which would cause minimal loss for the Empire, but achieve success in their goals for the future of both the monarchy and Myakka.
OOC:A bit of a tag, I'm still working out what exactly I'm going to do.
"Admiral, report from Headmaster Vamp," said an operator as he handed the admiral a lenghty telegram.
The admiral read it through as reports were coming stating the Soviet's were getting closer to the capital with every passing day and things were getting desperate. He looked over the plan and then looked up. The plan was both bold and suicidal. He pulled out his hologram device and called in several captains and explained the situation.

My union has just wired $10m for the government to use
OOC: I shall be ending this conflict soon or starting the final phases of the conflict since I have plenty of plans that I would like to try out in the future. Keep in mind that I'll tell you all when this conflict has effectively ended.
While the Western Flank valiantly defended itself from the constant aggression of the loathed Communists with its generals often leading brilliant counterattacks alongside their comrades in the foreign armies, the Eastern Flank was not faring too well at all with corruption and bribery widespread throughout the ranks of the armies stationed there. The capital, Marianopolis, had been abuzz with cries of horrid crimes committed by these generals and soldiers but the cries went unanswered. Indeed, the Soviets were doing more better on this flank which happened to be where Marianopolis was located. The Soviets were planning to take Marianopolis and then rely on a hook strategy of sorts to displace and destroy the foreign soldiers and what was left of the Monarchists. Noblemen and aristocrats were fleeing from their country homes with some rich people being killed in purges as the Communists marched towards the city named after the world's most famous virgin. Noblemen began to raise private armies like their forefathers had once done but these armies were generally unable to hold back the Red Hordes albeit they fought bravely and with honor. Gaspard XIX noticed the possibility that he could lose this conflict and thus sent numerous letters to his comrades including John Minat who was valiantly leading all the armies in the Monarchist faction. The Emperor's letters were simple, solemn, and saddening to say the least with one letter even entrusting John with the powers of a regent should Gaspard XIX, the Emperor, be dispatched. John, of course, accepted the powers and declared that he would fight the Communists to the last breath. His family had never ceased to fight for the Crown and he would not shame them, he said to his men, with cowardice. "It is too late for me to go back to my home. I must fight or I must die."
The Empress, Laney, had been busying herself with tending to the wounded as an army nurse beloved by many of the soldiers and loved by a few who were admittingly scared to even consider mere flirting. Laney was always there to serve the soldiers with calm and emotionless determination. The soldiers that still fought often mentioned that if one should be wounded, he should "hope to be in the care of Her Majesty." The heir to the throne, Prince Gaspard, waged his own battles with the Communists on the front lines while Princess Valerie served alongside her mother; the oldest daughter helping her beloved mother. The other two children, Zane and Adra, were underage and thus under the care of Governess Nadine who they had always referred to as an honorary aunt; a beloved woman. The Archbishop of Myakka, who was still in exile, was later executed by Communist authorities and was hailed as a martyr by many Myakkan Christians along with the mass number of Christian clergy and laity tortured, imprisoned, and dispatched by the Reds. The Jews, too, suffered the loss of their loved ones and those who taught the Torah and Talmud to them. No one was safe. Gaspard XIX eventually made a speech to the Myakkan people encouraging them to fight for what was right and to approach every day with courage. He said calmly on radios and televisions:
"It is essential that we not forsake our lives to those who would seek to take them from us in the name of hypocrisy masqueraded as liberation. It is essential that the masses rise up in courage against the Communists who would ruin our beloved nation. Liberty is under threat, that is, the liberty to live one's life without fear and without worry is under threat. The freedom to believe in what one wants, to do as thou wilt, is under threat. Our homes, our families, our very lives are at stake! I shall stand tall with the soldiers who spend every ounce of their blood and energy fighting our foes and hopefully, when all is said and done, we shall come out victorious."
The Empress would often appear at orphanages and soup kitchens to help those who suffered due to the ongoing conflict. The capital, beloved of all, was suffering under intense rationing, curfews and martial law. Shops were closing down and parks were at times devoid of life save for insects. The Imperial Palace became a military bunker with the best fortifications around. Governess Nadine would write from her secret location that: "The children (Zane and Adra) miss their beloved parents who spent so much time with them throughout their lives and are praying that the conflict shall end and that Myakkans, brothers and sisters by blood, shall live in peace and stop this violence."
-----------------------
"We shall cut the serpent's head off and march into Marianopolis in triumph."
Thomas Millone looked upon the map of Myakka that he had never ceased to look at and study since the conflict had begun. He had spent many nights planning his attacks on the capital while dreaming of how to remodel it in the style of Socialist Realism; he had planned to rename it to Leninopolis in honor of one of the icons of the Communist system worldwide. Indeed many cities were renamed after Stalin, Lenin and Marx in celebration of their achievements and those of their followers in Myakka. Millone was carefully planning out every step of the attack without worry or fear. He knew fully well that he could exploit the corruption within the ranks of his enemies and that he could blockade the city to starve them into submission. If he were to capture the Emperor and Empress, he thought, he'd most likely have them hanged for treason. After all...he had often said that they were serving themselves rather than the People which, to him, was clearly treasonous. Millone believed that the Monarchy was an oligarchy which needed to be crushed without any shred of mercy along with anything....or anyone suspected of ties with it.
Millone appointed his best generals to lead the armies, numbering about 2 to 4 million men in total, to march towards the capital, lay siege, and then storm into it and take it for the glory of the Revolution. Millone already was dreaming of the ideal Myakka and he needed the city for his plans to be realized. His dream of a Communist Myakka purified of Monarchists, Trotskyists and other undesirables was coming closer with every day that passed. He would soon be like a Communist Kira....passing judgement on those who were deemed undesirable for the New Order but with bullets rather than a notebook.
Vrahl stepped forward to speak, "I am commander Vrahl, this is commander Dee and commander Mao, the three leaders of the three squads here. You must be Milone, very pleased to meet you, let's talk business."
The other two commanders sat on chairs to the side of the room and Vrahl continued to stand infront of Milone, looking him in the eye.
"I would like to have Burtilanan support in my upcoming campaign aimed at seizing the capital of Myakka, Marianopolis, which I have planned to be renamed after the great Lenin." Millone said with a smile. "I must say that should our Revolution succeed....that it is fully possible for the Burtilanans to be considered a comrade and perhaps we could make our nations more joined together in Communist solidarity."
Millone adjusted himself at his desk before turning around briefly to notice the portrait of Joseph Stalin hanging behind him. "Like Stalin did, we must ruthlessly crush our enemies. I hope that you, soldiers of Burtilana, can help us do that."
The Greywatch units calmly began checking the rifles and other weapons. The FM soldiers said nothing but the CoDs were ready for a fight and cheered wildly. "That means 'yes' in Greywatch combined forces."
Sarah smiled. "Your soldiers are enthusiastic. I admire that. Now, follow me, so that we can kill those who would pollute our nation."
Sarah led her soldiers towards the nearest Communist positions while beckoning the foreign soldiers to follow her; smiling while her soldiers tightly held their weapons. It did not take too long for them to reach what appeared to be a machine gun nest. "It seems they have been doing some work here. Shall we attack, soldier of Greywatch?"

The man and his group followed closely but following protocol. FM soldiers made sure to move quietly but quickly through anything that could make them difficult to see. CoDs were a little more obvious but did well at not standing out too much. The regulars were moving with quickly and efficiently, they didn't want to be seen but even if they were the enemy was going to die one way or another. The man nodded to Sarah, "So, loud or quiet?" he said quietly to her.

"We will gladly do that," Vrahl said, also looking at the portrait. "Give us some targets, some maps to load into our PDAs and GPS systems, and they will be done. We will gladly work with you in the future"
The other two noticed some documents on the desk, refering to the religous purges, Dee looked pained by it, but Mao quickly snapped her back into order. He signalled to Vrahl to look at them, he looked like he hadn't noticed, so Mao silenced himself.

We in the union has decided to withdraw our troops once the situation is under firm government control.
"This is Vamperial Grand Headmaster Vamp to Lynion Forces, Coalition Forces and civilians of the like," started Vamp into the intercom. "The situation has grown worse and we are now preparing to bugger out. If there's any Coalition Forces, Loyalists or civilians seeking travel out of the country, we're willing to provide the transportation back to Lynion. We're found on the Western Side of the capital," finished Vamp as he ended the message. "We estimated we only have three days at the most to evacuate. We're sorry if we leave you behind,"
Western Side of the capital
"We've got orders to bugger out! All equipment are going first to give us more room!" yelled the general at the top of his voice.
This caused the soldiers to start bringing the APC's, trucks and tanks onboard the transport carriers. It wouldn't take too long because their armour division was small unlike the usual size.

OOC: Wow, this went from a near Monarchist victory to a total collapse fast. Not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed, but I suppose that's how war goes. Fluid situations that change over a matter of minutes/hours, etc.

"General Roberts, the Monarchists are collapsing. Tens of thousands are fleeing the capitol, and we estimate that the Soviets will have the city before the week is out. It's time to bring our people home," General Francis Tucker spoke, addressing General Ian Roberts, the Commander of the Salzland forces in Myakka, via videoconferrence.
"Yes sir," General Roberts replied. Though the Salzland forces and their Myakkan allies on the Western Front had fought brilliantly, every victory here had been overshadowed by crushing defeats on the Eastern Front as the Soviets pushed ever closer to Marianopolis. "So far ten divisions never deployed from Salzland, another twelve didn't get their equipment deployed so we can fly the personnel back in less than 20 hours, and the remainder can be back in Salzland in four days."
"You're sure we can get everyone out, Ian?" General Tucker asked.
"Yes sir. The Soviet forces around Marianopolis are too far away, there are still enough effective Monarchist units to slow them down even if they came for us right now, and the units in the Western Theater have been shattered. Our trailing divisions are laying mine fields like they're going out of style, so by the time the Soviets can clear them we'll be long gone."
"Good, the evacuation order is given. And do what you can for the Myakkan loyalists in your area of operations. We are not going to let the people who shed blood beside us be left for dead."

Somewhere along the Western Front
No one could ever doubt how crucial the Forresters had been to prolonging the war, and giving the Monarchists a fighting chance for survival. Also, no one could doubt that once the Monarchists finally fell they would be hunted down and exterminated. For the small band that Captain Terrence Dekker, SDF Marine Special Forces, was observing this would not be the case.
"Hello," he spoke, striding out of the woodline and into the Forrester camp. The other three members of his team followed, weapons secured to avoid a friendly fire incident. "My name is Dekker, Captain in the Salzland Defense Force. We just received word that the Monarchists are collapsing, and that we're being evacuated. I had hoped to work with you to help break the Soviets, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Instead, I've been authorized to make you an offer. If you stay here, the Soviets are going to butcher you all, and God knows how many others as retaliation for what you've done to them. If you stay here, you and everything you've fought for ends here. Or, you can come with us, live to fight another day, and one day fight alongside us when we come back here. And believe me, we will be back."

HQ, 3rd Armored Division
"Let's go, mount up people! We're on the clock," General Jenkins yelled, as his command staff filed onto Bradleys and withdrew. The division was pulling all the way back to the coast, where it would embark on transports and be back in Salzland in under a week. They would withdraw under friendly skies, since the Allies held air superiority in this sector, meaning that they faced no threats while withdrawing.
"Get me General Caret," Jenkins continued, as he entered his Bradley and picked up a radio handset. "Tell him we're pulling out, and that we'll have room for his people and as many civillians as they can round up too. I'm not going to leave a friend behind to die."
Not knowing what exactly to say that wouldn't seem like an insult, the Lamonians didn't answer that man. It was their opinion that the new problems facing Myakka were due to the civil war, but they didn't know enough about pre-existing tensions in Myakka to say what the causes of this civil war were, precisely.
James started to examine the man's wife. He didn't like what the examination had revealed... a case of TB.
James looked at the husband. "I would like to transport your wife to the field hospital on board the ships that we landed on. I could radio one of our helicopters, but they would need a nearby clear area to land at. Do you have any suggestions?"
The Mayor smiled. "I would love to see us crush those Communists relentlessly so that we may once again live in peace and prosperity like we did before this whole mess got started. I am thankful for the support that the Lamonians have provided us."
"We could never ignore a nation in such desperate need. Our only wish is that we had gotten here sooner, so that we might have been able to preserve more of the town."
At the same moment, four of the Lamonian Mechanized Infantry divisions were scouting for Communist positions, while one secured the airport, and the last division secured the town, and helped the citizens there. With the need for supplies apparent, C-10 Minotaur Strategic Airlifter aircraft were loaded with supplies, and sent for the captured airport. They would be faster than sending everything by ship, but supply laden ships were also still being sent to Myakka; Lamonian civil war intervention experience and doctrine noting that the side that kept the population happier would normally win the war.
With the first of the frontline troops pulling out, Lynion Forces were stuck with a decision they had to make. There was troops all over the front that needed to be evacuated and civilians in the capital. However, the one thing everyone was going to need was air support.
"Skipper, we got the Bear behind us," said a pilot over the intercom.
"Keep the Bear up with us, Alpha Squadron and Delta Squadron form up with the Bear while the rest of the Squadron goes on ahead," ordered Flight Ace Captain James Edwards as they flew over the plains.
The Sonic Dingo Fighter Squadrons flew on ahead as they found a town below them filled with people and military units around. James passed over twice as he tried to make an outline of who it could be. It wasn't Communist Forces so it had to be Coalition Forces.
"This is Flight Captain James Edwards of the 33rd Sonic Dingo Ace Squadron," started James into the intercom. "If there's any Coalition Forces down there, please respond! Communist Forces have broken through the Eastern Flank and some of them have split off and headed towards this direction,"

"I'm Colonel Stever. Let's start with an easy question: what's your name?"
The villagers who had been rounded up were praying that the Puritanians would not harm them or their loved ones; especially since it was tempting, at times, to take a man's appealing wife or to show one's power over helpless and downtrodden souls. The villagers did, however, welcome the Puritanians for saving them from the Communists albeit they would hope that the Puritanians would be kind and generous towards them. When an enemy officer was captured, the villagers simply smiled and uttered words like: "Decapitate him" and "He should burn in Hell!", which would lead Stever to assume that the officer was one of those conductors of purges.
The officer, stuck in a tent and surrounded by those people he was exhorted to hate with all his heart and soul, looked at Stever emotionlessly but had a small smirk on his face. "My name is Ion, you capitalist dog."
Some villagers actually tried to sneak in on the interrogation so they could listen in on what was going on.

The leader of the Foresters was a beautiful young woman who looked like she should be in a modeling agency than in a warzone. Frail and emotionless, she walked towards Dekker and smiled. "Captain, we shall not leave Myakka even if the hordes of Communism were set upon us without relent. Those who want to leave can leave but I shall not. I would rather have my blood shed upon the motherland then become a coward."
The others around her said they would stay and die for Myakka but the leader said that some rescued citizens must go with Dekker to somewhere safe. "This family must be taken out of here, Captain. You must ensure their safety. We, however, shall lay down our lives for Myakka."
"Get me General Caret," Jenkins continued, as he entered his Bradley and picked up a radio handset. "Tell him we're pulling out, and that we'll have room for his people and as many civillians as they can round up too. I'm not going to leave a friend behind to die."
Lucian Caret had been busy studying the reports about the Eastern Front with much anger boiling inside of him to the point that he may erupt into a great bout of cursing and condemnation. He had condemned, in the presence of his men, all those who betrayed Myakka as traitors and vowed that they would all day be punished one day for the sin of treason. To hear that the Salzlanders were pulling out crushed his soul, yes, but he understood why they would. Lucian Caret decided that he would send a message to the Salzlanders:
"It is necessary for you to secure the lives of any refugees you see as well as nurses and doctors of our armies who desire safety from the Red Hordes. I must ask you to secure the safety of my wife and children and tell them that their father and husband will be with them soon. I shall be appointing Lieutenant Calliverin as my replacement since I will be losing command of these armies; reuniting with my family. Send all messages to that fanatical anti-Communist friend of mine."
Lucian Caret sent the message before looking upon a picture of his wife and children. He sighed and said to himself: "Be safe and be at peace, my loved ones."
"Captain Edwards!" A voice said over the intercom.
"This is Colonel Adam Kartes here! We may have lost plenty of men but we still live on! We've heard about the problems on the Eastern Flank....how sad it is that men would betray their nation to mere vermin."
The husband smiled. "There should be an airport in the city free of Communist control. If you are taking my wife with you then I want my children and I to come with you both."
The wife's bloodshot eyes looked upon James before her pale and cold hand felt his; a small smile coming upon her face. The husband felt heartbroken and looked at James sternly. "You must help my wife. She does not deserve any of this."
"We could never ignore a nation in such desperate need. Our only wish is that we had gotten here sooner, so that we might have been able to preserve more of the town."
"What matters is that you are here now, friends and we appreciate all the assistance you can provide us."
Millone ordered that maps be loaded onto the Burtilanian PDA and GPS systems before he began to speak. "We need you to help us wipe out defensive positions on the main route leading to the capital so that we can get there without much loss of life. It is essential that we capture it so we can destroy the Crown's hold on the people."

"We understand, we shall set off straight away, if we need anything, we shall contact you, out supplies of C4 may run out, as may our ammunition, so we might be back for some."
The pair shook hands and Vrahl left the room, with the other two commanders following behind.
"Did you see the documents?" asked Mao. "Yes I did," replied Vrahl, "We have our orders though, to help the communist cause. Even if it means that we have to turn a blind eye on these actions, I agree with it as much as you, but we cannot get involved further then we have to."
They reached the courtyard with the other squad members, they loaded up, not telling the others about the purges. They set off southward towards the first of their targets. Their first was a heavily guarded bridge over water, leading to Monarch terriatry.
"Captain Edwards!" A voice said over the intercom.
"This is Colonel Adam Kartes here! We may have lost plenty of men but we still live on! We've heard about the problems on the Eastern Flank....how sad it is that men would betray their nation to mere vermin."
"We realise some have turned to the communist way of life. However, we're worried about if Communist Forces do capture the capital, they will turn around and engage any remaining cut off Coalition Forces. We've being asked to pick up Coalition Forces and civilians to be evac," replied Captain Edwards.
In the capital
The battalion was preparing to leave the capital as one squad of Elite Assassin's was going to stay behind. Their captain sent a message to the palace with a message about what is happening.
Excellenies,
The Vamperial Lynion Forces have confirmed they are going to start evacuations. We're sending you this message because we wish to know if you're going to stay or come with us or go with another force.

The guards told the villagers to get away from the interrogation tent, and that if they wouldn't comply the guards had been authorized to use lethal force.
At the same time, supper was ready and people were forming a line at the kitchen. When some of the Communists tried to get in line with the villagers, the guards shot a few. "You scumbags will have your meals after everyone else has had enough. Get back to your tents." The fate of the Communists was already clear as they'd been given the grey overalls slaves wore.
In the interrogation tent, Stever opened a tool box that had tools a dentist would use. He held one of the tools in front of Ion. "Do you know what this is? They use this to remove teeth. You'll know exactly how it feels to have your teeth pulled out without anesthesia... Now, back to the topic; When can we expect your friends to come and try to get you guys out?"

One villager smiled. "When you are done with that Communist....can I kill him? My buddies and I need to get revenge."

The villagers were happy to know that they were getting food from the Puritanians and did not seem to care for the Communists who were being shot and bound as slaves; some of the villagers welcomed that development. Once supper was finished, the villagers generally went back into their homes to see that their televisions only broadcasted nothing more than mere Puritanian and foreign programs aimed at securing their loyalty or just re-runs of shows from a more happier time. The Puritanians could also hear what appeared to be praying at the ruins of a destroyed church while a group of schoolgirls were walking home since they had been having a slumber party by the time the Puritanians arrived. "I wonder how long these men will stay...." one girl began to say. "Hopefully they'll be better then the Reds."

Hundreds, if not thousands of nervous civilians sat along the airport tarmac, waiting for their opportunity to file onto one of the massive jumbo jets ferrying non-combatants, and any Myakkan Monarchist troops that could go, to safety in Salzland. Evacuation flights had taken place non-stop for the last 36 hours, already rescuing tens of thousands. The operation would continue until literally the last moment, with a combination of Monarchist and Salzland light infantry troops providing security on the ground. The SDF troops would extract to waiting helicopters once the airport was in danger of falling, while the Monarchists would blend in with the remaining civilians and conduct a guerilla war.
"All right, Group 32, stand up. Your evacuation flight has arrived. Remember, one piece of luggage per person. Follow me," an SDF Marine called out, escorting the civilians to their flight. Once airborne, the transport aircraft would be protected by flights of F-22 Raptors and F-15C Eagles, to ensure that no Soviet aircraft interfered with the evacuations. Not that such interference would be likely.
Even though the Salzland ground forces were evacuating, the Air and Naval units deployed to Myakka were using the opportunity to strike hard at the Soviets on the Western Front while they were still disorganized. Numerous strike sorties from the Air Force and Naval Aviators dropped bridges, bombed supply depots and command and control centers, and dropped large quantities of ordinance on any Soviet units that turned South. Not to be outdone, the Navy conducted dozens of cruise missile strikes against the Soviet infrastructure on an hourly basis, with arms plants, railyards, oil pipelines and vehicle depots turned into rubble.
Still, despite their best efforts the outcome of the war was more and more certain every day. The Red Tide moving South could not be stopped as long as the Monarchists were disintegrating at the very gates of the capitol. The Monarchy had, at best, days.
OOC: To answer your question, Myakka, I thought that the Monarchists were winning because all that had been role-played until very recently were victories for them. Then all of the sudden bang, the Eastern Front has collapsed, the Soviets are about to take the capitol, and game over. I can understand having the fog of war, and limited information on the battlefield, but still, that turn threw me for a bit of a loop. I know you had talked about ending this RP, but nonetheless this took me by surprise.

The three squads had reached the bridge, there was little defence on their side, but it had Monarchist pill boxes and MG nests on the other. They were still out of sight, and deciding a plan of action.
Dee's and Mao's squads headed both up and down stream, whilst Vrahl's squad waited hidden on the allied side of the bridge.
When nightfall came, Mao's squad and Dee's squads started to cross the river in their amphibious jeeps, they were about 6.4km either side, Dee's upstream, and Mao's down. they were going to attempt sneak towards the enemy banks, on their side of the river, under cover of darkness, so there was less chance of being spotted. Before they attacked, Vrahl was going to fire at the MG nests that they could see, with the auto cannons on some of their jeeps, they would then storm the bridge whilst the other squads climb the banks. The plan would fall into action in about an hours time...
OOC: The Monarchists were winning in some areas, yes, but the Communists had been able to decimate Monarchist forces at the Eastern Flank through bullets and bribery. The Soviets are not able to take the capitol just yet as there is still stiff Monarchist resistance. I apologize if it ruined any plans you may have had. Mind you, just because the Soviets win, does not mean that the Monarchist cause is dead.
IC:
The Myakkan citizens lucky enough to get onto planes taking them to Salzland were overjoyed that they could get out of the hell that was once their peaceful and pristine nation. They could not bear to see their beloved nation collapse before their very eyes. It was a horrid sight to see, a heartbreaking cross to bear, and indeed something that they hoped could one day be reversed. Myakkan soldiers on the Eastern Flank were still struggling to maintain order and positions while Gaspard XIX and his wife continued to lead the struggle against the Red Horde from their palace in the capital; Empress Laney was even a war nurse as she donned the attire of a simple nurse and got covered in the blood of those she helped. The four children of the Emperor were all smuggled to safe and secure locations with John Minat and Governess Nadine credited for the deed. Nadine, who had been the Governess of the children for many years, would smuggle the letters of the two underage children back to their parents to let them know that they were safe. The Emperor soon declared a state of total war against the Communists and exhorted Myakkans to fight alongside all foreign soldiers in the campaign to crush the Reds once and for all. It may not work, yes, but he would not just stand idly by and watch everything fall apart. The Communists, also, declared total war and began blockading routes to the capital to prevent food and supplies from getting to the people. Farmers' markets, once filled to the brim with goods, were now barren beyond belief while supermarkets were unable to fill their shelves. People began to conserve and horde food and medicine as the blockade began to reach more and more into their lives.
The Communists were being smashed in the Western Flank, yes, but they continued to march on without any care; if one Communist died then ten more took his place. They counter attacked the Salzlanders at every chance that they could and continued the purges whereever they went. Refugees were fleeing South to avoid the Red onslaught in the hopes of finding peace and new homes. The Emperor of Myakka became depressed when hearing of the latest losses. It was a haunting spectre, Communism, that loomed over him. He decided that he would not leave Myakka at all and that he would stay until the very end. At the fireplace one night, he had ordered his wife to leave Myakka immediately but she ardently refused. "I cannot leave you, Gaspard...nor can I leave the Myakkan people. I'll stand by you."
"But....you may die." Gaspard said emotionlessly while looking at the raging flames in the fireplace; his eyes fixated on them as if he were a Spaniard looking at Aztec gold. "I will not leave you. I shall stay." Laney said sternly before embracing Gaspard. "Whatever happens, my love....will not make me leave you."
Gaspard then smiled at her. "Then so be it, my love." He then had a letter written to the Lynionese:
"I must decline your offer of hospitality, sir, as my wife and I have decided to stay in Myakka until the end. We shall not leave the land that we have both sworn to serve and protect."
Gaspard XIX convened a secret meeting of his generals in the hopes of organizing what was left of the Monarchist faction with generals such as Lucian Caret attending the meeting. They had all decided that the Monarchist leadership would be transferred to Gaspard XIX's heir upon their liege's demise and that John Minat would be given full command of all Monarchist forces. A government in exile would be formed out of the major ministers such as Foreign Minister Altair Turenne while the Emperor and Empress stayed in Myakka. Prince Gaspard, heir to the Myakkan throne, would be coronated in exile as Gaspard XX and the Emperor gave his son full permission to choose "whichever girl you think would be suitable for you as a wife."
The Government in Exile would be headquartered in a Lamonian manorhouse due to secret (OOC: MSN) conversations which took place between Lamonian and Myakkan agents. Gaspard XIX declared that all loyal Monarchists should swear loyalty to Gaspard XX upon his coronation and dream of, one day, bringing the Monarchy back to Myakka should the Communists take the nation over completely. It was then decided that all four of Gaspard XIX's children would live in Lamoni under the care of the possibly soon to be Gaspard XX and others. Governess Nadine would also go to Lamoni along with new government minister Lucia Marsden, the ministers of government, and their entire families. Gaspard XIX then sent a message to Lamoni before retiring into seclusion:
"A fleet of Myakkan ships is heading towards Lamoni; taking my children and others to your nation so they may form a government in exile when the time comes. I would hope that you will welcome them with open arms and allow them to take hold of the manor your nation promised them."
Gaspard XIX then took his wife into his chambers and smiled. "Perhaps one more bout of love before everything ends?" Laney just kissed him and nodded her head. "Yes, one more bout before the rotten structure crashes down." (OOC: :fluffle:)

OOC: Oh, it's no problem to me, it's your RP after all. And I am... eagerly looking forward to coming back to Myakka. In force. And yes, I realize that I deployed 700K troops this time. Since this fight started my military budget's nearly doubled, so next time my boys'll be rolling in Chrome-plated Abrams tanks. Pimp my division, baby! Hoo-ah :)
IC:
"The Soviets are charging again!" Came the call down the line, as a platoon of SDF Marines assigned to the rear guard of the retreating 3rd Division hastily dove for shell craters, and any other nearby cover.
"Fire!" Yelled 1st Lieutenant Michael Johnson, as a torrent of automatic weapons fire erupted, cutting into the rushing Soviets. The Soviets were forced to advance on foot, because the SDF Air Force had swept the skies clean, giving their ground attack fighters and bombers free reign to sow death among the Soviet armor. The infantry was able to keep close enough to the retreating Salzland forces to prevent friendly artillery from getting involved, turning the retreat into a running gun battle. The Soviets couldn't mass enough troops to overwhelm the rear guard, but at the same time the 3rd Armored couldn't put enough space between their rear guard and the Soviets to call in air and artillery support.
Sporadic return fire answered the Marine volley, mostly passing harmlessly overhead. A few rounds struck individual soldiers, but due to its smaller size the SDF had always favored quality over quantity, and the field of personal body armor was no exception. One solider seriously wounded and two with minor injuries were the casualties from this skirmish, while the Soviets retreated a short distance minus six dead and another dozen injured.
Then it was time for the platoon to leapfrog backwards, allowing the next unit in line for the rear guard to take its position. Odds were that this would continue all the way to the coast.
Captain Jaxson Ling got his reply back and look at the squad of 12 he had with him. His eyes looked about his troops as the sound of the Soviet Forces were coming towards them. He thought for a moment as a Company from the battalion came over to them.
"Sir, we got orders to evacuate the civilians and...." started the captain.
"We're not going with you, we'll be left behind to defend the monarchy. If they do come here, we'll go bush and find our own way back to Lynion," interuppted Jaxson.
"Alright sir," whispered the captain as he turned to nearby civilians and shouted. "If there's anyone that wants to leave, we're evacuating civilians on the Western side of the capital where you'll be sent to Lynion,"
Jaxson took his squad aside as he pulled out a pen and paper and looked at them. He sat down on the remains of a building as he watched them gather around him. He took out the piece of paper and his pen and turned to them.
"If there's anyone that wants to go home, you can. No-one will think any less of you. However, if you do stay behind, the chances of us getting out of here will be slim," explained Jaxson.
His first lieutenant looked around as the others gave him the nod. He turned to the captain as he made one last check to the others.
"Jack, we've being with you since basic training and I talk for the rest of the squad," started his lieutenant. "We're willing to follow you even into Hell and our mission is to protect the monarch not bugger out,"
"Ok," replied Jaxson as he wrote a message to the monarchy.
We have decided to stay in the capital until the Red's come. We've being left behind to make sure we can evacuate the civilians out of here before the Reds come.
Eastern Front
The 3rd Lynion Battalion had just moved up in a defensive trench line as a squadron of Dingo fighter jets soared above and engaged a Soviet Armour column. They had orders to hold off the Soviets until the evacuations can be completed. A company moved upwards and covered the Salzland Forces that were bugging out.
"You guys get the hell outta here. We'll cover your retreat!" said a lieutenant to an officer.

It was getting hopeless for the Lynion's as they did a frog jump. They jumped a fair distance behind the Kelewann soldiers and turned around to face the Soviets.

The husband got all of those things and brought them to James. "I knew it was a good thing that I was saving all this!"
"It is indeed." James started to make a makeshift stretcher out of the assorted items, asking the husband for help when needed. Before long, the makeshift stretcher had been completed, and James used assorted objects to weight test it. When it looked stable, he placed the sick woman onto the stretcher, and asked the husband to help him lift her. Along the way, James called for a helicopter to land at the airport, and the group made their way to the airport. Once there, they loaded the woman onto the helicopter, which took James and the rest of the woman's family as well. They landed on the FRLS Mercy, which was a Lamonian Hospital ship. Within minutes after landing there, the woman was safely taken to a hospital bed, and was checked over by doctors before the proper drugs were administered via IV drip.
"I am sure the neighboring towns will be happy to recieve help as are we. Thank you very much for your assistance."
"You're welcome, sir. We do try."

One villager smiled. "When you are done with that Communist....can I kill him? My buddies and I need to get revenge."
"No, you can't. He's going to be a slave just like the others."
The villagers were happy to know that they were getting food from the Puritanians and did not seem to care for the Communists who were being shot and bound as slaves; some of the villagers welcomed that development. (ooc: I intend to take them prisoner)
"I have no idea when they will come, exactly, but I am sure they will come to liberate these villagers once again."
"Wrong answer." One of the guards forced the prisoner's mouth open and Stever pulled a tooth out. "Where can we find your friends?"
"No, you can't. He's going to be a slave just like the others."
"That's good too. Just make him suffer, eh?" The villagers then walked off while whistling an old tune.
A patrol came upon the schoolgirls and searched through their belongings. "Isn't it a bit late for a walk? It's cold and the Commies could show up at any time... Maybe we should take you to the camp?"
(ooc: I intend to take them prisoner)
OOC: No problem.
The schoolgirls were nervous but in the end they accepted going to the camp with the patrol. They walked along the path with the soldiers while talking in the Myakkan language about various topics such as the patrol, what they planned to do when they got home, and how they hoped life would be after the conflict ended. They were filled with happiness and hope.
"Wrong answer." One of the guards forced the prisoner's mouth open and Stever pulled a tooth out. "Where can we find your friends?"
"In Myakka."
The husband of the woman had stayed close to his wife's side as he got onto the ship with the Lamonian medic. He had never ceased to stand by her side and never stopped talking to her as he sat in the room that she was given while his daughter just stared at her beloved mother emotionlessly. The man spent his time recounting old tales of love and happiness while the woman had just showed signs of life by weakly moving her pale hands and feeling the ring upon her finger. If James was listening, he could hear the man tell his wife about how he fondly remembered when they first met.
"You're welcome, sir. We do try."
"Of course."

Your Majesty,
Rest assured that we will accept those Myakkans who wish to emigrate to Lamoni in this time of severe hardship for your people. The Red Rose Manor is ready for your Government in Exile, and the members of that government will be taken there with all due speed and safety. As a democratic society, we actively dislike Communist nations, and your children and people will find a safe have in Lamoni.
Signed,
Andrew Stinson

Several Greywatch planes which had been in Myakka began to stir. Several team ocmmanders had been following the situation closely and were now aware of what they had to do. "Okay people," said a commander to a group of pilots, "Get ready and get in the air now. Eastern front is falling and we're gonna provide some much-needed support. Greywatch has radioed, we have more forces coming in. Got it?" A group of pilots began getting to their planes. Several planes were ready to take off already and troops were ready to be dropped into some ocmbat zones. Meanwhile, Greywatch was already in the process of sending some more reinforcements to handle the situation swiftly.

The kelewann forces keep leep froging back to the capital periodly stoping to toss smoke, frags, and shoot.
Commander: Soldier go back to a safe distance and call the advisor tell him we need the ships that are getting ready to leave at the capital to stay, help people leave, that means both civilians and any solders, ours or our allies that want to leave. Also tell him to get ready a bombing raid and to get escorts ready also if the city falls and goes into the students hands i want you to bomb the place up, only as a last resort and only if Myakka gives us permission to.
OOC: Myakka, have you responded to these two posts?
OOC: I think I have. If not, then I shall reply to them later on today.

For centuries had Marianopolis served as the bounteous and exquisite capital of the Myakkan nation with millions of people calling the city their beloved hometown through birth or association. Many companies were headquartered here while the Crown ruled from the splendors of the Imperial Palace which sat in the self proclaimed political district of the capital. Nowadays it was filled with stern soldiers and distraught citizens who mourned the forced demise of their beloved hometown's splendid aura of serene living. Tanks rushed through the streets while soldiers began ripping down political posters deemed to be seditious in nature such as those put up by Communist spies and partisans. The Communist, it was said, infiltrated the city without any major problems. The Emperor had resigned himself to the bunker which he had built for himself and the elites of his ardently loyal entourage while his wife served in a makeshift nurses' corps. The Emperor's children, the Governess, the ministers of his government and everyone else he counted as significant has fled to the Red Rose Manor in Lamoni. This did not sadden him since he could rely on the ever faithful Calliverin who had not only served alongside the Puritanians but who was well known for his vehement anti-Communist feelings which he publically made known whenever he had the chance. Calliverin, it was said, was given full military command since John Minat was in Lamoni and thus unable to lead the Army directly and properly as he had done before. Calliverin orchestrated a series of minor but significant counter attacks upon the Communists from his command post in the bleak and dreary capital. The Emperor usually left all military decisions to Calliverin while he slept and read in the confines of the bunker which he rarely left except for when he went on walks with his wife which he enjoyed even if the mood was essentially ruined by fighter jets continuouslly soaring overhead while tanks roared past them. They would just walk through the palace gardens to the fountain in the center, the fountain of Cupid, and just hold hands and look up at the clouds like they did when they were mere children. Laney wept as she clutched tightly onto the man she loved; she could not bear to see him taken from her by the dreadful Communists.
Soldiers found in the area of the capital and beyond were essentially sent into the front lines as soon as they enlisted since they were desperately needed. They would say goodbye to their wives for possibly the last time before they got onto trains leading to the front line.
"My love, you march to war defiant....."
A lone woman began to sing a song she had learned from her mother while she watched her beloved husband waltz off to the front lines in the name of the Crown. She did not want him to go but she knew that he wanted to serve his nation. She consented but never ceased to pray and hope for his well being and safety.
"....May God returneth you triumphant....."
The woman continues to sing even through the jubilant crowds' violent screams and the hymns of the nearby clergy and nuns. She is concerned only with making her voice known to the man she loves.
"....And you'll be brave, be strong, be true, my love...."
The woman runs to her husband and struggles to get through the crowds; she still continues to sing the song she learned so many years ago with passionate zeal. The crowds look upon her with curious eyes and calm smirks.
"...And I'll be waiting for you, forever..."
She lunges at him with a deep and tender kiss that lasts for close to five minutes before an officer kindly pulls him away from the tender embrace of his beloved and tearful wife. Eventually, during a night long after her husband's departure, she looked at the stars from her balcony dressed in nothing more than her nightgown.
"What will become of us? What will be, will be,
I hope and I pray, every single day
You'll come to me, come home to me, come home to me...."

The Communists, meanwhile, were busy marching towards the capital with ruthless aggression building up in their hearts and with their guns blazing as the Monarchists either died defending their positions, were utterly routed, or were bribed into joining the Reds. The Emperor became more and more depressed as time passed and the Empress became more and more covered in the blood of the wounded. The capital was starving as food was unable to get into the markets and people were distressed. The woman who was desiring the safe return of her husband would often go out to buy rations for herself and the little children she raised with her husband but usually would buy more for them than herself out of sheer motherly love. Calliverin demanded the construction of fortifications all around the capital before sending away his wife and children to refugee ships heading to Lamoni. "I shall die here, my love, for I cannot allow the Communists to trample upon Myakka. They must, one day, pay for their sins."
Calliverin studied the horrid conditions of the Eastern Flank emotionlessly albeit he was filled to the brim in anger since he had never once shown respect for those who had swam to the arms of the Red Beast as they drowned in the blood of their fellow man. He threw the maps across the room with much cursing before looking out the window to see the streets devoid of life. He spat on the ground, made a blasphemous jest to God, and then smiled. "It seems this city is dead. Meh...I'll die defending it anyway."

While the majority of citizens unwittingly went as refugees to the Free Republic of Lamoni, there were those who ventured onto the ships of Salzland and Lynion in the hopes of finding solace from the harsh realities of civil conflict. Mass crowds of citizens rushed towards the ships of the Lynion forces with much haste and violence as they all hoped to get onboard or at least hoped to get their children onboard so that they would have a better life. The Myakkan people had never experienced such chaos since the Middle Ages and now were fearing that this chaos was so much more worse than what the great historians wrote about during the centuries. They screamed and condemned with much tears spilling down their cheeks while some prayed, yea, prayed to God for salvation. They prayed that He would bless Myakka with a swift end to the conflict. The Myakkan refugees were of all religions and social classes with noblemen becoming mere refugees although they still wore their tuxedos and dresses in the case of their wives and daughters. Freemasons also fled Myakka as refugees since the Communists did not welcome them like the Monarchists had for centuries. A lodge officer would write: "These are the times that none of us ever thought would come upon us. We know nothing about how to deal with it."
The ships sped off from the beloved homeland of the refugees with much sadness and wailing echoing from the ships as the last glimpses of Myakka dissipated into nothingness.
"QUIET!" shouted a Union Guardian as he fired a shot into the air as the regulars and Hunter's halted the civilians from getting onboard the carriers. "There's enough space for everyone but we're doing it women and children and elders first! There is enough space for all!" yelled the Guardian.
The Union Guardian looked around as the Blackhawks landed and loaded a handful of troops before returning again.

Women and children along with elders solemnly marched onto the carriers as if marching as a part of a funeral train. They had never really wanted to depart from their beloved homeland but necessity compelled them to do so much to their vehement dislike. A lot of them were weeping and moaning as if they were in great pain while some were uttering prayers to God or reciting the prayers one often says when fondling the beads of the rosary. It was possible, at times, to hear a group of people chanting the Ave Maria while others would simply look towards the ships and sigh in weakened anger. No one liked how they were being forced out of their homes, they hated necessity, and some of them dreamt of returning for revenge against those who had made this all happen.

"We are in place Vrahl." "Us too." whispered Dee and Mao.
"Right ok, on our mark, when you hear the first explosion, begin to climb up the bank, by the time you get up there, we shall be across, and will be needing both your assistance." ordered Vrahl.
Two Tank Hunter Scorpian jeeps selected their targets, as did two snipers. sweat ran down private Darling's face as he stalked his target across the river, waiting for the order. "Fire" exclaimed Vrahl, trying to whisper, instantaneously Darling fired at his mark, as did the other sniper, before the enemy realised where the shots rang from, two missiles shot above their heads and towards the MG emplacements.

Fort Sabrina, Sarania Province, Myakka
In the time since Colonel Norden had explained the local tactical situation to Ikari, all the light Mioyan force had fully debarked. Without orders to move anywhere Ikari decided to hold his position, fortify Fort Sabrina, and keep a handle on things as best he could whilst he defended the local peoples and the interests of democracy.
He set up his command post in an abandoned office building situated in the port area, and had set about arraying his forces in such a way as to effectively hold the city. For the time immediately following his landings, he left the rebel pillboxes and bunkers alone, but that line of enemy positions would, he knew, have to be dealt with soon.
His main combat forces, a light infantry battalion, had three rifle companies, and a recon infantry company. He also had 14 tanks and an independent reconnaissance company that had been called out from Reserves. His rifle companies he placed in strong points, chosen largely because they commanded routes in to the main city. Each company was supported in its position by a tank platoon as a reserve. The battalion’s reconnaissance company had its own responsibilities. It would operate forward from the main defensive line with all its individual platoons, equipped with extra HMG and ATGM units operating as roving units in between the Communists and the Myakkan/Mioyan lines.
His independent reconnaissance company, medical force and battalion support units were kept at the port area. The whole deployment was geared to keeping the Communist forces he knew would attack at some point out of the main city.
It was a good plan. Ikari was sure of that. Now, all he needed to do was convince Colonel Norden.

The girls were taken to an interrogation room similiar to the one where Ion was being interrogated. "Someone's going to be here in a few hours. Or tomorrow."
"In Myakka."
"A funny guy, eh? Let's see how funny you are when I'm through with you." Stever took a metal pipe and started beating Ion with it. After he got tired one of the guards took over. After an hour or so, Stever asked him again. "Now... Care to tell us where your friends are, or should we do something even more fun?"
