Sarah Deata woke one morning and knew that today was the day.

The Empire of Deata was run on a local level by feudal lords, but the imperial family ruled all with an iron grip. Both groups had privileges- hence the palace she lived in, on her own indirectly administered planet- but they also had great responsibility. Administration and war were great consumers of their time, though men traditionally had more control of the warring business, with women doing the majority of diplomacy. The system worked well for the, but it required yet another thing from the high classes.

Sarah Deata wanted a family, and very badly, which was highly appropriate considering that the monarchs and nobles had to have heirs. She had been wondering when to marry, but when her fraternal twin sister had married Syro on the day of her coronation as Empress, it had hurried things along a bit. Now that Melissa had confided in her that she was pregnant, Sarah felt no need to wait any longer. Casual dating had served her for years, but now she wanted something more.

She called her brother-in-law on the phone.

"Hey, Syro,' she said happily. "I'm getting married."
"To whom?" he said, startled.
"That's the part I have to figure out."

On the small transport, Marcus lay in his quarters. Royalty, real-life royalty... Wow. Guess I'll have to wear my best clothing. There was a knock at his door, "Sir Marcus, we're close to arriving." He perked up, "Thank you. I'll be there shortly." Without second thought he took a quick shower and changed into his ceremonial clothing. A white uniform with light purple trim, a white cape with golden symbols in the middle, a badge with the red Council of Dragons seal, and a pair of white dress shoes. He also had a ceremonial silver rapiar on his left side and was hold a pair of white and gold glaves in his right hand. He fixed his hair and left his quarters.

"one thing you find is i'am all ways in Battle Dress Uniform or Combat Armour as i'am a ruler who leads his troops from the front"said Wolf but he did take all but the boots off to show he had BDU under the armour

She looked over at him with blue eyes and nodded. "Ma'am?" Said the pilot looking back. "We're ready, move out." She said, the pilot nodded and turned around, the gravity locks wer disabled around the ship and left the hander of the transport. "Um, Rose? Are you my bodyguard?" Marcus said, looking over at the woman. "That's why I'm here. Be good while you're in there, leave a good impression." She said to him with a motherly tone, he smiled, "Brother would be proud... but this is for me. I want to see what this gurl is really like, I've never been with royalty before." He spok with a little nervousness. Rose nodded as the shuttle began to enter the atmosphere.

The shuttle came in and turn towards the Palace, an impressive structure that earned some respectful whistles from Rose and the pilot. The small craft touched down in what looked like a landing pad and the two exited. Marcus looked around, "A-amazing" he said to himself. Rose smiled as she stood beside him, as she left she brought with her a ceremonial spear with a blue ribbon tied around the end close to the blade. Her long red hair blew in the breeze.

lord tetanus and some guards walked up.

"hello," the diplomat said. Marcus, if you could come with me? And please be careful with that spear."

Rose nodded, "Sorry about that." She reached into a pouch on her back and pulled out a sheath for the spear, putting it on without a word. Marcus looked back at her as she sheathed the weapon and gave a small smile. "Are you ready then?" He said to Rose before he turned back to the diplomat, "Please lead the way. And don't mind my sword, it's ceremonial, nothing more."

"of course," he replied. He then escorted them to a large ornate door.

"The princess' rooms start here," he said. "Ms...um..... anyway, the princess would like to speak with them privately, so if you wouldn't mind could I have someone escort you to guest lodging for now?"

He then watched as the door opened. A pretty young woman was siting on a higher chair, talking to a tall man in armor. she noticed him as Tetanus ushered him in.

"Hi, Marcus," she said. "I'm Sarah. I've only got two chairs in this room, so why don't we move somewhere else?"

she took he decanter and led them into a chamber with two three-person sofas in it. She sat down in the center of one of them, and invited the men to sit too. She also poured Marcus some wine.

Marcus walked in and followed her to the other room, he was blushing. Rose bowed her head and stood as he walked away. Marcus bowed in front of her before taking a seat next to her, on her right. He tried not to get too close but not distance himself to much, his hands rested on his lap. "Thank you for inviting me here Princess. Pardon if I seem nervous, I have, admittedly, never sat in the presence of royalty."

She smiled. "Just call me Sarah, OK? And a word of advice- in Deata, anyway, the monarchy and nobility aren't all that mystifying. We're mostly just the people running the show, and very few of the upper groups insist on great formality. You see that in some of the lesser nobility- they're paranoid about their positions, so they make fools of themselves trying to maintain protocol. one time I had a petty landowner being an idiot nearby, so I invited him for a banquet and seated him near the cleaning staff."

Marcus relaxed a little, "I see. That's interesting... I never thought I'd find nobility that were so.. humble. Well then Sarah... what is it that you do exactly? If you don't mind me asking..." He looked over at the other man in the room. Wow. Is that supposed to be another... prince of some kind? No. He must be much higher in rank than that... Marcus tried to qwell his racing thoughts. He smiled cheerfully and relaxed.

"Oh, i forgot to introduce you two," Sarah laughed. "Wolf, this is Marcus. Marcus, this is Wolf- emperor Wolf, if you want to be formal. You know, I haven't asked for either of your last names yet.

"Oh, and about your question- well, the princess part of my job isn't really that much work. The imperial overbaroness part is. I basically run this area along with the local baron and do some work with the army, though he's mostly in charge of that. I also also sure he stays loyal."

"Hmm, where I come from bowing is a simple sign of respect to another..." Marcus said without any sort of emotion. "But moving on... I do like the more... archaic forms of dueling. Such as sword fighting, sometimes archery... all in a friendly nature of course. But I like learning new sports as well." Marcus smiled as he thought about the duels he'd had against his brother in the past. "Oh, and I have no other important business elsewhere. I'm free to stay here for awhile lest anything extremely important comes up, which is doubtful."

"oh, good!" she replied happily. "I'm going to need time to decide, you know." she leaned back, very slightly to her right, and stretched out her arms.

"you know, I'm not exactly great at archery myself, but I do like to practice. would you like to go out to the archery range and try some?"

Blunt are we? Well I suppose it can't be helped, I suppose if I was in the army I'd be blunt too. He thought to himself, not changing his expression as he thought.

"Yes," she replied. "Could you just wait a second? i need to change out of this dress. And do you want longbows or recurve, I'll call ahead."

"I think I'll try the longbow if that's okay." Marcus said with a smile.

"Right," she said, standing at the edge of an old-fashioned screen, which she kept there with a few preselected outfits for when she needed to change in a hurry. "i use recurve myself. And you, Wolf?"

"no need to give me one i summon my own" Wolf said as he place a hand out in front of him an say word one could not hear,which once said made a flash of light

"So," she said, cooling down a bit and opening the door, "would you care to tell us about your life, Marcus, while we're walking down there? and what draw weight do you use? i should call that in."

"Well I suppose what's happened has happened... Shall we make our way to the range?" Marcus didn't want any conflict now, even if Wolf's actions were a little questionable. "My life? Well why not? My early life was always confortable, I was the son of a wealthy merchant. Later on in my life I found out my family were the decentants of nobility... but Greywatch doesn't have nobles anymore. My brother and I sought to make a name for ourselves... what came next was unexpected." He paused for a moment to catch a breath.

they were right near the archery range now. There was a series of targets at different distances along it. She snatched up a 50 lb. recurve, along with 15 arrows and the bracer and finger protection. She then showed Marcus a set of longbows.

"shed no they don't shed" Wolf said as he place a arrow onto the string of the bow

"combat gloves that are worn under the outer gloves are made of nanomail so my fingers are safe so loan of your finger protection is not needed ma-am"

She walked over to a machine and pressed a few buttons.

underneath the archery range, a massive greenhouse ceiling opened. Trees started rising, and the archery range became a decent imitation of a forest in seconds. Robotic deer covered in cloned fur started roaming around the place.

"My father had that feature built," she said, smiling. "When he had no time to hunt, he could do the second-best thing. You'll notice that these are bodkins we're using, not target practice arrows. Unless you want to shoot at painted circles?"

Marcus picked up the closest longbow, it was good so he decided to use it. He took 15 arrows just like Sarah and then looked at the range, "Very nice. This should be fun." He said with a smile.

She quickly aimed and fired three arrows at a her that had gathered near the edge. Two missed, but one hit. The target staggered and folded with an arrow punching through its fur and metal skin. Sarah quickly started walking into the "woods' to pursue the rest, waving at the others to follow her.

Marcus quickly ran to catch up to her, his bow in one hand and arrows/quiver rin the over (I'm assuming he has a quiver).

Wolf followed slowly as not to scar the hunt away

Once Sarah got in past their visions, she ducked into a small opening she had prepared. there she could watch how the two men interacted and acted when she wasn't around.

Marcus looked around, "Sarah? Sarah! Now where could she have gone... huh. She can't be lost since she owns this place..." He turned to Wolf, "Any ideas as to where she might be?"

well, that killed it, she thought. she pressed a button and an underground conveyor belt transported her to the far end. She then shot her bow as loudly as possible at a deer, which staggered and then fell somewhat gracefully.

"Huh. If that's true than its probably for a reason..." Marcus heard the sounds of a bow and something hitting the ground. "Interesting, I don't think there was anyone else here... Perhaps this is a signal to play along or something? Anyway... I'm assuming you have some keen senses or something..." Marcus tried to start a conversation while walking in the direction of the sound.

"i'am a soldier what more do i need to tell you, you going after someone ,you get intell on them first,an that means hiding in trees and other things to get it,thats what you do,thats what she doing, very smart of her too" Wolf said before he drop to his knee and fired his bow at running Deer hiting it in the heart

Sarah strode through the woods until she came right up to them.

"Its almost time for dinner," she said. "Do you two eat meat?"

"Well then that would mean, most likely, that she wants to see if we'll play nice while she's 'not around.' Guess we really should just play along." Marcus said arming his bow and carefully taking aim. He released the arrow and watch as it flew through the trees striking a deer in side, it staggered off slowly until he fired another shot that put it down for good. "Looks like I need some practice."

First they walked to one side of the palace, where Wolf's room was. It had a king-sized bed, some chairs, a table, a dresser, and a tv/computer combination thing (ooc: need to name that). It also had a lagr rug, in case another animal came over.

"here's you room, Wolf," she said. "Dinner will be ready in an hour."

Marcus got a good glance at the room, Nice, he thought to himself.

sarah then led Marcus to the other side of the palace.

"And here's your room," she said to him. It was much the same as Wolf's, except without the rug. "Come to the terrace dining room in an hour," she said, walking off to change.

"Ok, will do." Marcus said with a smile, Wait, did she even tell me where that was? Oh well I'll just change fast and leave early to find it.

An hour later, Sarah sat down at the dining table wearing a dress (OOC: same as shown on first post) and waiting for the others.

"Oh, well," she said. A servant rolled a cart over. It had an enormous selection of alcoholic drinks ranging from whiskey to sake, all grow within the reaches of the empire.

"We've always been a more agricultural society," she said, taking a glass of a local drink for herself. "We like to devote time to cooking and brewing."

Marcus walked in wearing a white suit with a purple dragon badge over his heart. His hair had been combed back and he had made sure to shave, not that he had that much facial hair anyway. He smiled as he walked in, he had brought only his ceremonial rapiar, "Well hello, I do hope I'm not too late." He took a bow before seeting himself.

"Hi," she replied. "you're right on time."

She poured him a drink. "Why don't you try the rasmile? It's only available in the Empire."

"Oh good, well then." He looked at the drink being poured, "I suppose I'll try it." He smiled as he took the drink and took a sip. "It's not bad at all, thankyou."

"what do they grow in Greywatch and Isa?" she asked.

"you really want to know every thing the Alliance grows?"

"Many things... the Greywatch Empire consists of 19 worlds and three systems. We also have four different main races, so as you can imagine, we have quite a few things..." Marcus said as he took another sip. "Pegasus Gardens grows quite a bit of wine, the planet is also quite rich in seafood."

"Ok...,' she said uncertainly to Wolf. then: "what are these races?"

"Well, there are humans... we are the one's who originate from New Heaven... I'll talk about that later. After we colonized Greywatch we began exploring the nearby planets and eventually systems. SO far we have four primary races: the humans, like you and me; the Leanorian, a cat-like race, they resemble anthro lions for lack of a better description; the Kiixori, a race of evolved insects who are aggresive but friendly, and finally the Xarniosi, a strange race of humans who have an odd ability, their skin absorbs minerals around them and their skin, over time, uses these minerals to become a thick and dense armor. An armor that is 'alive' to an extent." Marcus had studied each race and made many friends by going with his brother on diplomatic missions.

"so how do you deal with the others?" she asked Wolf nervously.

"Oh yes of course, they all willingly decided to walk under the Greywatch banner and due to this, they recieve the ability to place a representative in the Greywatch council." Marcus said before Wolf started, "Wow, over a million. Your Empire must be very large in size..."

"I'll keep in mind that Greywatch never wants to see your alliance, they sound... aggressive."

"well, Wolf," Sarah said reasonably, "you are always hoisting around ridiculous amounts of armor and weaponry."

Marcus took another sip of his drink, "Sounds like quite the party..." he said sarcastically. "No offence."

"Sounds like the civil war between New Heaven and Greywatch Prime..." Marcus commented before finishing his drink.

"Tell me about it," said Sarah with interest. "And while you're at it, tell me about your family, Marcus."

"Hmm? Oh, it's how Greywatch was founded, we were all originally apart of New Heaven, a massive extremely religious dictatorship. The entire world was like that, all hailing under 'the Emperor.' A few 'heretics' and scientists were able to escape, they didn't believe in the dominant religion or the government, scientists designed means for offworld travel and because there were no weapons capable of destroying starships, several people who 'did not believe in the truth' fled. There were very few of them but they managed to get away and develop a new world that was in the same system, that world became Greywatch. Mind you this all took place nearly a thousand years ago. Essentially, Greywatch developed, the labs that had designed the starships were destroyed and the 'Emperor' was more than angry..." Marcus stopped to catch his breath, "I don't want to bore you, are you sure you want to know the rest?"

'Oh, go ahead," she said. An appetizer of some special bread roll and calamari had arrived.

"Well to make it short, more people wanted to leave, there were a lot of 'heretics' going to prison. Greywatch came back with new ships claiming they would take any 'heretics' or people who wanted to leave. New Heaven agreed for awhile before they started to execute anyone who didn't agree with the church. Greywatch backed off, New Heaven developed its own space program and there were a few skirmishes. Then about one hundred years later there was a war, it lasted for about three hudred years, on and off. Greywatch was outnumbered but had better weapons and it turned out to be a stalemate in which both sides left broken and bruised. Then Greywatch began to expand and met a new alien race, New Heaven wanted to conquer that race, Greywatch and the new race teamed up to deafeat New Heaven. Later on, after Greywatch had expanded even more to incorporate two more systems, New Heaven tried again and was beat down until they had no military. Now New Heaven is apart of the Greywatch Empire but they are isolationist and will not take any non-humans into their border. Even people from Greywatch rarely see New Heaven, why they are apart of the empire but apparently the Greywatch council says they still have use to the empire..." He paused again before starting again, "That's the civil war in a nutshell."

"Interesting," she replied politely- war stories were all good and well, but she preferred some detail in them. "How do you like the palace so far?"

"It's beatiful. I'm sorry if I rushed that story but I've never been too much a fan of war. If you'd like a detailed version I could always tell you later I suppose." He smiled, "This palace must've taken quite a while to build..." He then thought to himself, "Ah, did you say something about my family?"

"It took several years," she replied. "The basic structure was first made centuries ago, and renovations and alterations have continued ever since. It's a wonderful though to know you'll be living your life out here. And i did ask about your family, if you have any."

Wait, has she already made a choice?! Marcus kept a poker face on, "Ah yes of course. My only family is my brother who is a diplomat for the Greywatch Empire and also one of the owners of Pegasus Gardens. I would be the other owner. We were both raised in a lower middle class family but our parents managed to get us through college. Mainly because we did everything we could to be good at many things so as to get scholarships." Marcus took a pause before continuing, "My brothers always been a kind person. He's also my rival in dueling," Marcus smiled.

"Dueling?" then she realized something. "Oh, when i said 'you' earlier, i meant that in a general sense," she kind of laughed nervously.

Marcus tried not to blush, "Oh of course, of course." This is getting just a little awkward. "On a different note, it's a beautiful palace, I would have never guessed it had been worked on for so long."

"well, it's art,' she said. "We're more of an artistic nation than a fighting one by choice- beauty is a hobby, and fighting is a chore. Unfortunately, after the great Collapse, we've had to do a lot more fighting.

"now tell me about this dueling."

"Well, my brother favors dueling as a show of strength. When we duel we use weapons very similar to the ceremonial blade I carry with me, they are not sharp enough to cut in flesh. We've been dueling each other for about four years now. I can't even remember what started this hobby." Marucs smiled, "Its always a good test of one's reflexs and physical prowress but doesn't require so much violence. At least not bloodshed, which is perferable. In all the times we've dueled, neither he or I have sustained any real injury."

"We generally prefer sparring with no safety gear," she said. A servant then bought in baked potatoes and a rack of lamb, and she put some on all of their plates.

"I have," Sarah said. "Our ships go near their once in a while. It was where humanity began, apparently. I've seen it- never landed on it, we don't do that if we can avoid it, but I've seen it. It's a small planet, but pretty. It's covered heavily in clouds and oceans. it's in Sol System. The great irony now is that the people there, living where the species began, now have relatively primitive technology compared to us."

"Huh, interesting. I'll need to see it one day."

"maybe the first people in the void came from this universe," she suggested. "you know, I've been wondering, Wolf- how old are you, anyway?"

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"So what your saying then is that you don't know your own age and you can self-ressurect. Am I correct?" Marcus's thoughts shifted to others who had self-ressurection capabilities. It was a rare skill to come across and certainly useful to its owner.

"Huh, Greyknight ability. Most commonly used by Redemption, a friend of mine actually, does the same thing. Gets torn apart and regenerates, gets killed and comes back two years later." Marcus looked at his plate, Wow, our food's going to get cold if we keep it up like this. "But nevermind that now. If need be I'll go into that later."

"I didn't say anything about food so I don't see how that's relavant. Though, your coming back in two hours, doesn't matter that much to me. Maybe at some point you can have a chat with him about his regeneration process, I think you'd both have a ball."

"i'd personally prefer to go the afterlife route,' said Sarah quietly. Se had quietly finished her food, and was nonchalantly sipping her drink.

Marcus had only started his food but didn't start actually start eating until Sarah did. He finished up his food quietly before dapping his mouth with this napkin. "Well to each their own I suppose. I personally wouldn't want to live forever either. Would get lonely after awhile I imagine."

"Life is hardly all it's made out to be," she replied, "and since you're only there for two hours, I can't imagine you'd see much of it. Anyway, outliving all your friends and family and children would probably get depressing after a while." She wondered whether or not to say the next bit, and decided to do so. "I hope you realize that you won't be around forever- incredibly long, certainly, but not forever. Deata has had experience with a few people like you. They all died eventually, sparking quite a few doomsday cults on the side, I might add. All the years wore something thin until it simply fell apart: their bodies, their bones, their brain matter, their DNA, often taking the ability with it, and most often, their will to live. Death comes to us all eventually, although some of us can run faster than others."

She smiled as dessert was brought in.
"but no need to think of that now. Cheesecake?"

Marcus nodded in agreement as she spoke, "Yes, I suppose that is very true. The man I know who has this ability, even he has to est every once in a while to keep from exhausting himself. But enough of that for now..."

Marcus looked over at the dessert, "Cheesecake? Why certainly."

That one had been incredibly arrogant. then he had died, but unlike the other times, this was permanent. And he had gone and decomposed and was never seen again. Oh, well. Wolf would learn when the strain started to set in. She offered him some cheesecake.

"gladly," Sarah replied. "Now if you don't mind, I'd like to go look at some tax information and then go to sleep. You're welcome to wander the palace if you want- there's always a classical music show every evening, near the main fountains. Good night."

Marcus rose from his seat and took a small bow, "Thank you Sarah. For everything. I will see you tommorrow then."

Sarah walked off to work on some tax forms, along with arguing with some local nobles. Baron Liu was a friend of hers and they had dated once, but they were both very strong-willed in a quiet way and arguments between them could take hours. Finally, she slept.

Marcus wandered for a few minutes but decided it was best to turn in. He returned to his room where he went to sleep in order to get up early the next day.

the next morning dawned bright and early. As Sarah woke up, she thought it would be a good day to visit the gardens. she decided to go have breakfast with Baron Liu at his palace nearby. afterwards, he wanted to come back to have a look at Wolf and Marcus She had servants leave a note for each of the men saying where she had gone. The notes also said that they could call the kitchens to request breakfast, which would then be delivered to their rooms.

Marcus smiled when he saaw the note, "Run off again have we?" He ordered breakfast, a cheese omleate. It was all he wanted, once again he found the cooking to be supurb. "I guess I'll just go lok for her." he left his room and wandered the hallways for a little while to absob the atmosphere of the palace, he enjoyed looking at its architecture, which was very well done.

two hours later, a stately craft pulled into the landing pad. A door opened, and a tall, slender man (looks part-Asian) stepped out from the back. He then offered his hand to Sarah, who jokingly slapped it away and stepped out, saying something. They both laughed and walked into the palace. they caught sight of Marcus.

Wolf himself was just returning after spending most of the night working before getting told to get a shower and sleep by the captain of the ship

Sarah whispered something to Baron Liu. he nodded, then walked forward and extended a hand to Marcus.

"hello, Mr. Silverkin," he said. "I'm Baron Liu of Shary. Simply put, Sarah's my boss... and a close friend."

Marcus shook the hand with a smile, "Pleased to meet a friend of Sarah's. How are you doing this fine morning?"

"very well," he responded. "how are you doing? And do you know where this Wolf from Imperial Isa is? i am interested in meeting him."

"I doing fine thankyou. And you, Sarah?" Marcus looked back at Liu, "I'm afraid I do not know where Emperor Wolf is. I assume he'll be here anytime now."

"Emperor?" he raised an eyebrow. "Feeling humble, aren't you?" he grinned.

"Well I've not spent too much time in front of royalty until I met Sarah so not saying people's titles is something I'm not used to. Also, I work as a diplomat for my nation at times and the teach us to pronounce people's titles to be respectful." Marcus chuckled to himself.

"Do you have a position there?"

"My brother and I were the one's to establish the resort planet 'Pegasus Gardens.' Both of us, though, met many high ranking officers in the Greywatch military, apparently, the Ministry of Foriegn Relations said that due to the fact that we're both respectful and we own a resort planet, that we make very good diplomats... or something like that. I'm sure it was because my brother wanted to see the universe and decided to drag me into his dream... but I'm getting off topic. My position is as a 'Junior Diplomat,' not a matser, but good enough to use on important missions." Marcus paused, "I hope that answered your question... Sorry about getting off topic. I suppose the short answer would be 'yes.'"

"Succinct. I like it," the baron joked. "you say you own a planet. Do you have any legal or judicial power there?"

"Its our planet in the sense that we actually bought the entire world when we set it up as a resort world. So we actually do have our own police force, but as for government, it follows the same laws that apply to Greywatch as a whole. It's like a state in a much larger country to put it simply." Said Marcus with a smile. "We do just about whatever we want with it as long as it complies with Greywatch standards. So court systems and security force etc. are actually run by men and women following standard Greywatch laws."

Wolf enter with out saying a thing due to Marcus was talking

"kind of like our system here, except the nobles seem to have more leeway," the Baron said. he turned to Wolf. "Are you Wolf from Imperial Isa?"

Marcus smiled, "That he would be."

"who are you first other wise i'am not saying yes or no"

"Even if you don't say anything, Sarah will just tell him so it doesn't make too much of a difference..." Said Marcus.

"that's right," smiled the baron. "Anyway, I'm Baron Liu."

"It's split into sections... there's a group of islands near a small continent on the equator. There are some other continents, two to the north, one to the south that extends to the southern ice cap. There's another small cluster of islands to the north that are frozen over... Well anyway, I"m sure you understand my point." Marcus caught his breath, "We have many different resorts, which is why the planet is so well known amoung the empire. Mountains, deserts, tudra, savanna, island... we have just about every kind of resort. Took a lot of time to construct but it was worth it."

Dragos Schverzinski had only heard of the Princess of Deata seeking a husband through the medium of overhearing people talking about her; so he thought he'd throw himself into the fray for her hand. She was, to him, a pretty girl but he knew there'd be a lot more to her than mere looks. After a comfortable ride aboard a Deatan made shuttle which he found quite fun since he had never flown in space before in his life, indeed being the first Ixanian royal to do so, he found his way to the Palace and was led to where Sarah was by a kind and courteous maid. When he entered the room, Dragos studied Sarah before bowing respectfully as denoted her rank. "Your Highness, forgive me for being late but I am merely another suitor seeking thee as my wife. I am Dragos Schverzinski, a Prince of the Ixanian Empire and it is a pleasurable honor to be here in Deata and to finally able to meet you, the fair maiden who has captivated these men here. I shall not delay your conversation further. Please, go on and continue."

Sarah and Baron Liu turned to look at him.

Taking his seat at the table with a smile on his face, Dragos studied Sarah and felt that she was truly a beautiful woman but he did have competition; he did notice the other suitors and began to consider what they had that could appeal to Sarah. "I would appreciate being able to have a tour of the palace later, Your Highness and to able to know you more better. There is always more to a person than mere rank."

Dragos smiled at Baron Liu before looking at the other suitors. "I would also not mind learning more about the other suitors in the hope that I can broaden my knowledge. I enjoy learning things...knowledge is power, after all."

Marcus smiled and held out his hand, "Well met friend. Yes, knowledge is the key to power is it not? I am Marcus Silverkin."

"The Ixanian Empire is located on the planet we all know to be Earth and is populated by millions and millions of people and has several colonies. It is an absolute monarchy led by my cousin, the Empress, and it is a tolerant but Christian nation with Lutheranism and Orthodoxy as the dominant denominations. The Ixanian Empire was founded centuries and centuries ago by Leto the Great who sought to save the people from chaos and turmoil. The Ixanian people are hard working, industrious and in the women's case can be stubborn and fiercely independent. Some women still wear the dresses of old and corsets are still widely worn although more...modern clothes are the norm for some. We tolerate all religions including the ideals of Atheism and Deism for a man is free to make his own decisions and he has rights. Women are treated with honor, respect and devotion stemming from our fascination with Chivalry."
