Aozora shook his head. "Well, that went well, did't it? Yes, we have peace and tranquility in the camp."

Gold saluted, "Then I will help you. As long as there is no hostile takeover." Gold kneeeled to her, "Consider me your new weapon.... within reason."

Tal walked up to Zena. "I see you are determined. Very well. If the pope consents, then it shall be so. Under one circumstance." Tal took the moment to look her in the eye seriously for a moment. "You must change the name of Popette. Honestly, there must be something better. How about... the Popess? Or just the Pope? It's not exactly determined that the title "Pope" is male only, since all the Popes so far have been male."

"I already mentioned Popess, she said it has to be Popette, somthing about Latin." Aozora told him.

"Really? But still, it just sounds... wrong. How about just plain pope?" Tal asked.

Aozora thought about it and shook. "Nah, the entire point of this is to reform the church. We should probably redo the outfit too. No offense Zena, but I don't think that stupid hat is your style."

"Thanks Gold. Silent muscle can go a long way, though I think giving the impression that I'll be well protected is more what you'd end up doing. You've proven yourself very helpful and extremely honorable as well." Zena said, smiling. She turned to Tal. "Pope is traditionally masculine though. Though Popess might work. A thought just struck me. Popette sounds like poppet!"

"You know, Aozora has a point. Maybe a new title altogether is in order." Tal paused for a moment. Suddenly his eyes widened. "Wait, I've got it! How about... nope, never mind, lost it."

"Impression, on my life and honor you WILL be well protected. Illusions are the weapons of Mirage, I Gold, back up my words with real strength." Mirage looked at Gold, "Hey, illusions can work too."

"I've never liked that hat either. Maybe some more humble robes and a simple hairdo will be nice. And I think we can think of the name later. Though I agree, illusions work wonders. And have you never seen Pirates of the Caribbean? It's just slang for a woman." Zena said.

Aozora snorted. "Poppet? Why exactly would that ever be slang for woman? I can think of a dozen things that make more sense, if are more rude. For example..." He glanced at Zena, "Er...uhm...lets see... no, that won't work...I've got it! It doesn't work nearly as well as lady!! Yeah, that one works..."

"Aozora, you scare me." Zena stated simply. "Besides, it's actually kinda meant to be offensive."

Gold tried to think of a name... "Hmm, if only there was a polar opposite to Shadow Mistress... that was still female..." He mumbled.

Tal's eyes brightened again. "I've got it... again! Zena, you are the Herald of God!"

"Wow, taking it there and then some are we?" Pyro said with a laugh.

Tal's wings drooped a little. "It wasn't meant to be a joke..."

"Which is why its so damn funny!" Pyro laughed again at Tal.

Tal flew off from the group and went over the horizon, clearly upset.

Pyro took no time in flying after him, "C'mon Tal. I'm an old dragon, give me some credit. I stood by you along with the others did I not? Loosen up..."

Tal put on an extra burst of speed, and was gone in a blinding flash.

"Oh okay, we'll play your way." Pyro shot forward with a burst of thrust, we was close behind Tal and was doing his best to stay just behind him. His mouth closed and his body as streamlined as he could get it.

Joshua grabbed Zena and warped them to mid air where Zena took over. "Tal, come on. Tell us what's wrong."

Tal looked behind him and saw Pyro. His eyes widened in shock for a moment, amazed he was keeping up with him. Then, he looked forward again and tried to go a bit faster.

Being a dragon is so useful. Pyro wanted to have more fun but then stopped and turned around. Nothing to gain from following a party-pooper He flew back to the rest of the group and touched down in human form.

Tal looked over his shoulder, and found that Pyro had flown back and was replaced by Zena. Tal flew into the ground and disappeared into the earth (garden, technically).

OOC: Although I don't use it often, Tal does have the ability to pass through solid objects and make other things pass through solid objects. Just a reminder if you read this and go "What the hell just happened?!?!!?!"

"Damn." Joshua swore, heading back to the group. "Well, Tal got away."

OOC: It might seem like I'm god-modding the way I'm wording this, but I'm not. I don't think.

IC: Pyro was standing with the rest of the group when a hand shot out of the dirt and grabbed his ankle. His body passed through the ground as he was pulled down to his neck. Tal ascended next to him laughing his head off. "I'm sorry-HAHAHA- couldn't help it- HAHA - Sorry. *Ahem.* I wasn't really upset with you. I'm just tired of people swearing around me."

OOC: :D Fooled you.

Zena scratched her temple. "How is he breathing?" she asked inquisitively. "I mean, wouldn't the ground fill his lungs when he became tangible again?"

"Ah he's an angel, who said logic and god ever had to mix?" Pyro said. The ground exploded as he changed back into dragon form, pushing the earth from around him.

Tal managed to stop his laughter. "No no no. You see, with my ability, when anything passes though a solid object, that matter its passing through is in an alternate dimension. When the object it removed, the matter simply returns to our dimension. So don't worry." At this Tal burst into another fit of laughter.

Tal slowed down his laughter to a chuckle. "Oh well. It was worth it to see the look on your face." Tal almost broke into another fit of laughter, but he held it back.

Joshua sighed and repaired the damage. "You bring up a good point. Of course, as mortal beings, our logic is flawed where God's is perfect."

Zena snapped her fingers. "I get it. Selective material replacement! Now that's good thinking."

Tal made a small bow to Zena. "Thank you very much." Tal then turned to Joshua. "If I remember correctly, you swore earlier too."

"Wait, you mean damn? That's not even a swear word. Listen to Gold or Blade sometime, that's swearing." Pyro said with a smile, still in Dragon form.

Tal frowned at Pyro. "Yes, it is. And you know what the main difference between you and them is?" Tal glanced at Gold and Blade for a moment, then returned his gaze to Pyro. "They can't take a joke."

OOC: Lemme see... Zena has plans to replace the pope with herself, with Aozora as her aide... Tal got ticked at Pyro so played a practical joke on him. Gold and Alehkra were mad at each other, and Tal tried to break it up, and they agreed to peace in the garden. Did I forget anything?

"That's because I'm more human than them." Pyro laughed at the thought. "No but really, be gentle, their lives sucked. Mine was practically paradise, eevn by human standards. I didn't always hide the fact I was a dragon, and believe me, people really begin to like you when they find you to be large, powerful, and friendly."

Tal nodded. "I see. Well, I guess I was right. Anyway, I still don't see what is wrong with the name Herald of God.... and before you say anything Pyro, I'm asking Zena her opinion this time." Tal turned to her and waited expectantly.

"Hell, I swear a lot." Joshua said grinning while Zena rolled her eyes.

"I'm not a messenger though. That's Gabriel's job. It's not too bad, but it's not my style." She said plainly.

Tal shook his head. "Well, Zena, I've got to hand it to you... you have kept your sanity all these years. But really Josh, if you're going to swear, don't do it in front of an angel. God hears you no matter what, but to do it in front me... I find it offensive."

"But first, payback." Pyro took the oprotunity to lick, yes lick, Tal while in dragon form. Not normal friendly dog-like lick, fullon slobbering lick, the kind that left Tal covered in drool. "Payback for your shanagins in full." Pyro bellowed in laughter.

Tal stood immobile for a moment. He slowly inhaled, then exhaled. He then passed through all the slobber on him, so it just fell to the ground. "Not a bad try, but don't think its over." Tal then used his transforming ability to change into the same exact dragon as Pyro. He then leaped at Pyro and tackled him.

OOC: Shape shifting was Tal's other ability. He doesn't use that often either.

"I accept your challange!" Pyro wrestled back.

Zena opened her mouth to answer, then thought better of it when Tal transformed.

Tal somehow managed to see Zena's hesitation while wrestling with Pyro. "I'll be with you in a minute after I beat Pyro." he yelled.

She chuckled. "Alright then."

"Beat me?! Fat chance. You can transform but I'm the real dragon here." He flipped Tal over onto his stomach and then sat on his back. "Nya nya nya."

Tal laughed, then transformed into a dragon that was blue, covered in scales so small they appeared to be skin, and about 150% of the size of Pyro. "I think that the bigger dragon wins, regardless of which is real." Tal then strained his legs, and lifted Pyro off him and rolled him onto the ground before sitting on him.

Joshua and Zena began backing away as a precaution. "Be careful. Some of us are small you know!"

"Really?" Pyro went in for a playful nip at Tal's back with his needle-like teeth. He then rolled from underneath him, "Depends on your muscle."

OOC: Lol, I didn't even think of that, but yeah, I guess.

IC: "Or whoever has the hardest head." Tal rammed into Pyro, head first.

Pyro grunted softly. "Okay then." Pyro jumped into the air performing what could be best described as a dragon trying a backflip, he grabbed Tal's head. As pyro's back hit the ground he threw Tal over himusing his 'hands' before finishing the throw with a powerful push from his legs. He then transformed into a smaller white dragon with black stripes.

Tal passed through the ground as he was thrown at it. His voice resonated from the ground. "Ok then, lets play rough." Tal burst out of the ground behind Pyro and spun around, his tail headed for Pyro's back.

"So Gold, what do you think of this whole battle?" Zena asked, bored of the whole ordeal.

Pyro, now only about twelve feet tall when standing on his hind legs ducked under the large tail. He then disapeared in a flash similar to the speed Bladedancer used. "You see, I am dragon kin. Not an actual true born but a human who aquired Dragon abilities through... interesting means."

Gold lifted an eyebrow to Zena's question behind his mask. "If I was a dragon I'm sure I'd be having a ball right now but unfortunantly I have no idea what is so fun about this. I guess its like how humans spar. As long as they're happy."

Tal growled. "No fair. I can only copy the form of a dragon, not its abilities." Tal manged to use his wings to clumsily fly into the air, and began looking for Pyro.

Zena chuckled. "Don't you mean 'as long as they don't crush someone under their now immense girth'? I mean, honestly. Wrestling with humans around is just bad reasoning."

Pyro appeared on Tal's back lying curled up. "So comfortable letting someone else do the flying..." Pyro said with a relaxed tone. The events of the fight forced even Mirage to crack a small smile.

Joshua nearly danced. "Hey look! Mirage smiled! Oh how I wish I had my camera."

Zena chuckled. "Don't you mean 'as long as they don't crush someone under their now immense girth'? I mean, honestly. Wrestling with humans around is just bad reasoning."

"Dragons have some pretty good senses. I doubt they'll fallon us. Plus, we could always move, Josh is right there. Mirage is right there... and we know he has the capacity to move large groups." Mirage nodded in agreement, "The Garden will heal itself, let them play for now."

Tal smiled. "If that's how it is..." Tal somersaulted in mid-air so he was above Pyro, then turned into one of Joshua's stone golems, only about three times the size. He plummeted toward the ground, taking Pyro with him.

Joshua grabbed onto Zena as she took to the sky. "He's gonna hit with a ton of force, more than literally!" Joshua said, knowing the weight of his own creation and what something that size would do.

OOC: I don't know if you want to call them stone, they're more like earthen golums because they're not made of rocks grinding against each other rather they're smoother and black.

Once again Pyro was gone and underneath Tal was a much largeer dragon about two times the size of the first on Pyro had used. It's wings weren't large enough to give it flying capability but its muscle would keep Tal from making a big mistake. Pyro caught the large golem, "Not the right... *ugh* place *ugh* for this *ugh* you fool." Mirage clicked his fingers and Tal was on the ground, without the explosion that would resulted if he had fallen. Pyro went back to human form, "That was fun but I'm gonna go check on Umbra now."

Zena landed, Joshua still in her arms with wide eyes. "Oh grow up." She said, dropping him unceremoniously onto the ground.

Tal grinned. "Sorry, I guess I got caught up in the action. I haven't been able to have fun like that in...... ummmm.... well, I can't remember ever having fun like that. I guess I figured that since you all were able to beat Satan, you could handle a small thing like a 1.5 ton golem." Tal stopped for a few seconds, and sobered up. "Well, I suppose it was an irresponsible thing for an angel captain to do. I'm truly sorry." Tal turned back to his men. "It won't be long now before I'm on another mission for God, so I guess I better get serious so I'm at peak performance." Tal went off on his own, sat down, and thought to himself.

"Well now that that's over." Joshua mused to himself. "what's next?" he stood up and brushed off his pants.

IC: Joshua sighed. "Which for me means heading back to Minnesota where the fish are gone and the towns ravaged."
Zena patted him on the back. "You could head with me to Vatican City." she said cheerily.

IC: Tal stood up. He saw that everything was fine now, so he walked over to his three men left. "Men, its about time to go. Pay your last respects to your fallen comrades, then prepare to leave." Tal walked back to Joshua and Zena. "By the way Zena... Vatican city has been badly destroyed. It was one of the main targets of the demons. The preists there managed to repel them eventually, with the help of some angels, but not before severe damage had been done. You have a long road ahead of you."

"You're not really going so soon are you? Mirage has been speaking of something else coming and we know light and darkness are coexistent." Joshua said with a depressed look on his face.
"I figured as much. Besides, the ruins of one thing are the beginings of another." She said with a smile on her face.

Tal looked to Josh. "It does not matter. I have done what I was ordered to do. I made sure the garden was kept out of Satan's hands. That is all that matters. Besides, I am pretty useless as it is. I only have three angels with me, and I'm having a hard time focusing around you people. No offense, but its just that I'm not used to being around people who are...fun... like you. And Zena, well, I'm glad you have a positive attitude towards it. I'm sure you will make a great... well... whatever you choose to be." Tal put his hand on each of their shoulders, then walked over to where Umbra was. "How is he doing?"

Celestial looked up at Tal. "I'm not sure," she said in a sorrowful voice, "He woke up a few times just to go back out. I think summoning that thing after spending all that energy maintaining his demonic form caused him to crash. I can't heal this, light in this case, cannot heal a being of darkness."

"So then what do we do?" Joshua asked as he and Zena walked over.

Tal put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. You did your best. You've done your best all day healing everybody, including me a few times. There's not much else you can do." Tal thought for a moment, then pulled out one of his feathers. "Perhaps.... if I tried the same trick Raphael used on me earlier...?"

Celestial wanted to say no but at this point there was nothing more she could do on her own. Gold then approached them with a scroll in his hand, he was looking it over carefully and then looked at Tal. "Place the feather in his back and pray for the best."

Tal sighed. "I'm not exactly sure how to do it though... Raphael had fainted before he could tell me... Well, here goes." Tal put the feather on Umbra's back, like Gold said. He closed his eyes and concentrated. Umbra. You fought harder then anybody here, when you had the least to lose. You sacrificed yourself to save the rest of us, and the garden. You deserve to live. You deserve to LIVE! The feather flashed brightly.

Joshua, used to bright flashes and bangs by now, shielded his eyes as did Zena. "I hope that works." she muttered to herself.

Gold nodded, "Now put the feather into his back. Point first, just put it in, trust me."

Tal nodded back. "Ok." Tal hesitated a little, then stuck the point of the feather into Umbra's back. He backed away a little. "Ok, so now wh-" Tal suddenly fell to one knee, panting. "Wow....huh..huh... that does take a lot out of you. It's no wonder Raphael passed out" Tal waited for a moment to regain his composure, then stood up, if not a little wobbly. "Ok, so now what?"

Gold placed his hands on Umbra's back, "Now comes my part. Merging." There was a bright flash of light and then two wings sprouted. They were both black except for a few white feathers. Umbra groaned. "Dammit, what the hell?" Umbra said quietly, trying to force himself up. Celestial grabbed him, "Don't force it you idiot."

Zena helped steady Tal while Joshua gaped at the wings. "I'm not sure angelic and demonic energies should have been mixed like this." he said at the sight of the wings. "On the other hand, it's an impressive sight."

Tal fell back into Zena. What just happened? Did Gold just use part of me... to make a new Umbra? How is that going to change him? Tal was still exhausted from using his feather's flash/healing ability, and the transformation had shocked him, so he simply fainted in Zena's arms, similar to Raphael fainting earlier.

Zena stumbled a bit at Tal's weight but managed to set him down safely. "Well then, at least we know the fainting is pretty normal when this happens."

Umbra forced himself onto his feet, he was different now. He turned to face them. His face was the same but his hair and eyes had changed. On the left side of his face was a normal blue eye and white hair, on the right side there was black hair and a solid black-colored eye with a purple circle in the center. "Gold, what did you do?" Gold removed his helmet, "A merging, angelic energy merging with you to cause an imbalance in your demonic energy. As the two mingle, this happens."

Tal stirred a little, and woke up. He whispered, "Sorry about that Zena. I didn't think that would happen. And anyway Umbra... welcome back. I see you've gotten my angelic powers... I just wonder if you got my personal powers too? Or my personality?" Tal chuckled a little. "Anyway, I'm tired, so I think I'll rest my eyes a bit." And he fell asleep.

"He's a Crypt Angel now. Or a Dark Angel rather, an angel hybrid that specializes in dark and demonic abilities." Gold smiled, and rose to his feet only to fall again, "Damn, that took me out too. I decided to heal you while I bound the feather to you Umbra, you'd better be happy." Umbra said nothing, he was still deciding whether to be thankful or not.

Black runes appeared over Umbra's torso as he attempted to seal the free-flowing energies around him. "I'm... trying..."

The runes spread to his back, his arms and his neck. "I'm still a... demon.... at heart... this is nothing.... new." Umbra collasped after the process was done, right into Celestial's arms. It didn't take log for Lucian, Pyro and Sharpshot to see what was happening. Bladedancer and Mirage were talking amongst themselves.

"Um, someone want to fill us in on what's going on?" Joshua inquired, worried about the sudden collapse.
"Agreed. All he was doing was suppressing his aura. This shouldn't have happened." Zena said, glancing from Tal.

Tal heard the commotion, and opened one of his eyes. "See? There are a lot of things that cause people to fall over. I'm still curious to see how Umbra is affected though. Hmm..." Tal stayed on the ground, but was now awake. "I don't think he is used to his new body yet. Even his demonic abilities are not the same as before. Every part of him is mixed in with angelic power now. Also, he is suppressing twice the aura, not to mention two different kinds. Furthermore, he was weak to begin with, as he was just revived. I think that's enough to cause anybody to collapse."

OOC: I'm off for a few.

"Exactly, Umbra is still at probably 4% of his normal strength. And the merge isn't exactly done, it requires a little time so that Tal's feather and Umbra's body can begin working in perfect harmony." Celestial nodded, "But he won't be so weak to the power of light now." She proptly began healing any wound he may of still had from the previous battle, and there were still a few of them.

"So it's basically Umbra adjusting to things? I suppose that's better than him rejecting the feather. And Tal, it's strange, the angelic part of his aura is already changing, becoming independent of what yours looks like." Josh observed. "I guess having it mix with demonic energy though would do that."

"He'll be fine in a little bit hopefully. I hope that rift guardian still recognizes him. SPeaking of which, Umbra should pull that thing out." Umbra looked at Gold, "Why?" Gold smiled, "So it can feel you changing. HOld it as you change, it'll regonize you as being different instead of mistaking you for someone else." Umbra held out his hand and the scythe appeared in it, it was smaller than it was before. He let it lay on his chest, "I can hear its voice... It's being affected. We were always considered one but I never thought to this extent." Gold nodded, "A weapon that changes with its owner, you've got quite the instrument of justice there." Gld smiled. Pyro stroked Umbra's hair, "Good to have you back." Celestial just kissed Umbra on the head and said noth, Lucian kept smiling. Sharpshot grinned, "Well good to know you'll be back on your feet soon."

Tal yawned. "Thats for the best, I suppose. The world doesn't need two of me. Well... I suppose I should report to my superiors soon..." Tal attempted to sit up, but immediately fell back down. "Well... I suppose I have to wait a bit. But I really should report soon."

Patrick paced in an endless circle, seemingly oblivious to what was going on around him. "Fifteen thousand human survivors.. all I need to create a town, no a nation..." He muttered. "Alaska, yes, least likely to be ravaged, but still empty enough..."

Edward sat near where Alehkra and the others were. Anyone want to explain to Patrick that we werewolves will be in Alaska?

Alehkra snorted. As long as he leaves us alone, it won't matter. As Gold seems to forget, I have no intention of causing problems for humans, unless I am forced to. So, it won't really matter, as long as he agrees to leave us in peace. However, if he ever thinks to take territory from us, we will attack him.

Well, you see, it seems to me like those areas would also be the least ravaged, and, with your permission, I would like to establish a settlement for any surviving humans there, under the flag of the Reunited States of America."

Patrick shook his head. "I never intended to keep that policy. The Reunited States will be just a figure head, give the people hope. Most likely we'll only have the population of a small town at best, not even enough to be spread out, but the people need something to believe in, they can't just go about thinking themselves the only people left alive."

"I'm not sure what will happen with him, but if he ever needs help with his angelic powers, or you need help for anything else, contact me with this." Tal reached out and grasped Celestial's hand. When he released her hand, there was a golden ribbon in it. "Simply hold this and ask for my help, and I will be there as soon as possible."

Lydia scowled and stomped her foot at being ignored. Ah, screw it she thought. Without waiting for permission, she set a flower circlet on Gold, Blade, and Umbra's head.

Tal grabbed the UNPSF insignia from the air after Patrick tossed it. "I can see why you don't need this anymore. If you don't mind, I'd like to keep this. I'd like something to remember all of this by, and to remind myself of what the world once was."

Patrick kept that grim smile. "Really now?" He drew his sidearm. "Seven of us, sir, one of you. Drop your sidearm and let us finish your mission." Patrick continued to smile, and fired one shot. The bullet tore through each of them before impacting in the floor, one of them gurgled, barley alive. "You see.... I'm not following your orders anymore." Joshua sighed. "I don't conjure things from thin air you know. I alter matter and change that into something else. I can turn a single drop into an ocean, but I can't create a drop from nothing." He plucked a blade of grass from the ground and it turned into rather large bucket filled to the brim with water. "Does this work?"

He wandered through the streets, picking through the rubble for any sign of where he was. He took one look down the street then collapsed onto his knees. "DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL! YOU MANIACS!" There sat the ruins of the statue of liberty.
