The four of them arrived at the War Museum, and the first thing that they would see in the entrance was the burned out hulks of dead Main Battle Tanks. On one side, the tanks were Lamonian, and on the other, the enemy tanks had been taken from various battlefields that Lamonian forces had fought on. There was even an LY4 Wolfhound MBT from the police action in Manhattan Prime on display, as well as the hulk of a Starblaydi T-7 Gilgamesh Tank. Another of the buildings was given over to enemy small arms, and more buildings were given to aircraft (including the brand new Lamonian F-31 Sylvantes), Naval tech, as well as the history building, where the story of every war, conflict, and police action that the armed forces of the Free Republic had been involved in was told in vivid detail.

One could not go through the entire tour and NOT be moved by the courage, bravery, Valor, and other qualities displayed by the fighting men and women of the Free Republic. There was even a marble statue in the likeness of General Allen Hamsher, the most honored General in the Lamonian Armed Forces.

Andrew led the women in their tour, and told the women to feel free to ask questions.

"My people don't have vehicles like that. We use various armed and shielded shuttlecrafts as fightercraft, APC's and anti-armour weapons" Kimiko replied as she admired the warrior spirit of her hosts.

Although Adelaide knew that Ixanians had never fought in any major war since the days of Leto the Great and his associates, the horrors of war were still understandable. Her personal opinion about war reflected those of Anastasia II and others, that is, a just reason was needed before going to war. Adelaide immediately began to study every exhibit that she could see and would make sure to get a look at everything that she could. It had all reminded her of her schoolgirl days, when she had paid a visit to the National History Museum to see the sword, shield and suit of armor that Leto used in his campaigns along with paintings, portraits and texts that all recorded the many battles waged to unite Ixania into one nation. "Andrew, I must say that I admire the Lamonian people for maintaining the exhibits. Although war can be, at times, a horrid and lamentable affair, it and the deeds of the soldiers who fight and die should never be forgotten."

Adelaide listened to Kimiko's question and was quite interested in hearing the answer; she did do some research into Lamonian history before she arrived but who better to teach her it than the President himself....surely he must know alot about the land he rules?

"Our last official war was the AOWar. That was fought decades ago on the territory of the former nation of The Lowland Clans. This war involved two great regional alliances. Lamoni was the leader of the Strategic Defense League (SDL), which was an alliance of democracies, and one Kingdom. The other alliance was the Strategic Alliance of Autocratic States. After a supposed assassination attempt by Section 31 of TLC's Homeland Security Department against the Starblaydi usurper Lady Viannor; Viannor declared war against TLC. TLC was an SDL member, so that sent the entire SDL to war. I could tell more details about that war if you wish."

Such a vehicle could fit into her military forces but the Neo-Kirisubans based their tactics round infantry and mobility with each squad having plenty of extra firepower.

"Thank you, Kimiko." Andrew led the women to a display version of the currently used Lamonian MBT, the Lyran made LY4A1 Wolfhound MBT. "This is a display version of the LY4A1 Main Battle Tank; which is the currently used tank in the Lamonian Army. If we had had these tanks in time for the AOWar, it would have shortened it considerably.

It's main armament is a 120mm ETC gun, which has firepower equivalent to a regular 140mm tank gun. They also carry the KWF PAK2 25mm automatic cannon, as well as two TPFMI MkII “Helios II” BVR ATGM's, Additional Laterally mounted 4 barreled multi-purpose grenade launchers, and a 7.62mm machine gun, (LY64) on a powered remote rotary platform. Let's just say that that is a lot of firepower for a tank sized vehicle."

With its low profile and mobility it was almost like a tank hunter and a lot harder to engage" Kimiko replied.

"I could foresee quite the technical exchange between our two peoples, Kimiko. Neo Kirisubo is so much more advanced than the rest of the nations represented in this scheme to get me married."

A nations technology and electronics base would have to catch up so they could build them in the first place. Even we started small and our first starships used fusion drives and laser technology. Missiles and nukes were still the ship borne weapons of choice in the early days of the Federation" Kimiko replied.

"I completely understand that it would take years... maybe even decades or longer to improve our Modern Tech industrial base to even approach the levels enjoyed in Neo Kirisubo. However, i've always wondered about a world where the petty problems of the modern era have been solved."

"I am sure that the Kirisubans could enlighten our nations with their technology and teach us more about their advancements in various fields over the years. Kimiko, how has your nation technologically progressed?"

Turning to Adelaide she replied "we were once present on Earth as a MT state. Then we started off with a space programme which started with rocketry and eventually led to nuclear powered small starships which took the colonists to a new world.

As New Kirisubo formed the Kirisuban Empire became no more and we inherited their ways and traditions.

Once established we built our first defensive starships which certainly weren't pretty but did the job even if they looked like flying trashcans. These were fusion driven this being the next development up from nuclear power.

Our development was gradual and continues. Existing designs are improved which new ideas are looked at. Bigger and more powerful ships will always be needed but we have also developed matter replication and food replication technology recently."

Turning to Andrew she added "we've eliminated racism, poverty, crime and needs. The aim of life back home is to do your duty to the state and others and to improve yourself."

IC: The next morning; after breakfast, Andrew took Adelaide with him to one part of the house, and Vice-President Cruz took Kimiko to another part of the house. Both of them proposed to their respective woman.

"Adelaide," Andrew said as he got down on one knee and produced a box with an engagement ring inside it. "I have never met a woman so beautiful, smart, and well poised as you. Will you marry me?"

At the same time, Antonio was doing the same with Kimiko.

Kimiko accepted the proposal with a "hai" and tender kiss.

They had gotten together after the days events and hit it off extremely well as well as spending the night together.

This was slightly unexpected for her but she knew not to argue with karma when it worked its way through life.

Adelaide felt her whole body and mind consumed with joy as she silently listened to Andrew propose to her; she felt absolutely happy that she had won his love and immediately began to shout her answer to him. "Yes! I'll marry you! Yes!"

Adelaide tightly embraced Andrew and then gave him a passionate but tender kiss before speaking softly. "I'll be your loving wife, my dear. Adelaide Stinson....that who I'll be." She then looked into his eyes and Andrew could sense that Adelaide would be truly happy with him....that she was joyful that she was chosen....and that she had finally found love.

Vice President Cruz was the happiest that he'd ever been. The woman that he had come to love had just accepted his proposal. After the kiss, he placed the engagement ring right onto Kimiko's waiting finger. It was a perfect fit, which wasn't bad, considering that he really hadn't had all that much time with which to perform a rough measurement of her ring finger.
