The Flankers rolled and dove to evade the weapons, countermeasures filled the skies. A single Flanker was tagged by an incoming missile, and went down in a spiral of smoke. The UCAVs tried to evade, but they simply couldn't evade fast enough. Another 6 UCAVs were downed.

The Flankers fired away with several salvos of IRIS-T missiles, and continued to fall back away from enemy SAM range. Finally, they crossed the edge of SAM range.

The Shenyangi back-up fighters reached weapons range.

"Omega-8, this is Valkyrie-1, we are inbound, merging with enemy combatants in 30 seconds."

"Roger Valkyrie-1, we're in it deep here."

"Affirmative. All Valkyrie pilots, engage at will."

The back-up Flankers unleashed their AMRAAMs. The remaining UCAVs departed at maximum power, about Mach .98.

The wounded escort flight continued to fight on, the Valkyrie squadron merged with the enemy fighters, unleashing their IRIS-T missiles.

The combined Flanker force also unleashed their Gsh-30-1 cannons, which would make any enemy aircraft that came within range flaming swiss-cheese with frightening efficiency.

The Flankers broke into their combat pairs, covering each other as best they could.

The Hummers slaughtered the rest of the Red Skull agents, 5 surrendered. Major Wilson charged into the house and said to the Mokans and the remaining Greal infantry.

The Nakils suddenly retreated, with fighters covering them, the Red Skull F-22s were going to blast the first divine tiger tank that followed them......

The S.T.F. Agents acknowledged the surrenders. As for the Red Agents who weren't surrendering, but rather running, they continued to fire at them until they were far from the hallway they were in. One of the Agents pulled out a spiked club, ready to beat down the closest Red Agent near him, but the last Lieutenant left of the unit stopped him before he had a chance to swing. The Agents began collecting weaponry and tying up prisoners.

A Divine Tiger began to pursue the Nakils, followed by his respective unit, but was destroyed by the F-22s. The other tanks pulled back, and the GWO Fighter Wings, comprised of F-22s, F-35s, and a couple of Eurofighters, began to engage the Red F-22s.

IC: The 15 submarines stopped 4 nm off shore. 14 of them proceeded as far down as the depth would allow wile the other moved 5 NM east of the others. Raising to periscope depth the sub began trying to make radio contact with local Red Skull factions...

The Red Skull fighters suffered another 15 losses, which was bad, they were losing fighters like losing grains of sand. Too make things worse, a Greal force of 70 fighters arrived to combat the Red Skull. The Red Skull fired off a few more burst of cannon fire and missiles.

A Shenyangi Marine Corps ground unit tracked down the downed fighter crew and rescued them. Less than an hour later, a Katana cruise missile was launched at the downed fighter itself. The wreckage was completely destroyed, as was any intel that may have been gleaned from it, well before enemy forces could examine it.

The officer in charge of the air base that was under attacked sent a radio transmission to the Shenyangi fleet.

"Shenyangi command, you may have the base, we surrender."said the message which was pretty short for a guy that was surrendering, but the officer had enough of fighting his own countrymen.(Greal people)

The team left in the sewers came up, smelling like raw sewage. They would stand guard at the enterance via sewer to make sure the Red Skull didn't attempt what they had accomplished.

Two F-35s blew up in the air, and another two began falling towards the city, but the pilots ejected. The falling F-35s slammed into buildings. And a Divine Tiger was hit, but only was disabled. Within minutes the helicopter toutched down near the prison building. Ingram grabbed his E-19A4 and met up with Hillcock at the entrance "Lets do this" He said, as he burst through the door, his weapon level...

Ingram's voice was different because he was wearing the mast, and it would be hard to see his face with the gas mask on "It's been a while, Sarah"

FC-IOU33, the Captain in charge, stepped forth. "I am, General." he said, his vocoder slightly broken by combat. The voice produced sounded static-like, crackling and shutting down occasionally. He had several cut marks, bullets dents, and puncture marks in his armor, and a few splatters of blood covering the "S.T.F." printed on the front of his vest. "We lost a Lieutenant, and we haven't gotten a full count on the other Agents that we lost."

Colonel Okame stepped out of his HPACV, his horsehair helmet showing signs of fire damage, signified by the black sploches on the otherwise bright red horsehair. He simply looked around to assess the situation. "Well, we've got some massacred civies over there," he said to himself, glancing at the cafe. "We've got some blown up tanks over here," he said, looking all around the street. "And we've got an extremely pissed off tank commander over there." he said, looking towards the Marine Tank Commander. He walked up to the disabled Divine Tiger. On his way, he spotted the Marine Command HPACV destroyed, and a Horsehair helmet sitting not too far. This helmet had blue horsehair, as to comply with the Naval colors. When he arrived at the disabled tank, he tossed the helmet up. The pissed off tank commander was hit in the chest with it. He promptly put it on. Normally, Okame wouldn't be able to do this. But, he probably could slide with GRIFFITH-II. Also, he and both the Marine Commandant and the Army Commanding Marshal were all extremely close friends.

Six hours into the battle at Lexer Plains the Sumguaian forces were decimated, their numbers reduced by nearly a third (about 60,000 casualties). They held a defensive position as they were pounded by the Red Skull artillery. By that point a large portion of the landing forces had come ashore, and 350,000 of these marched for Lexer Plains to reinforce those engaged in combat.

Port Womer:
Men continued to pour out of landing craft, more than a million now on shore. Generals Mcalpin and Al-Omari were in the Greal military headquarters, pouring over charts and readings, when they noticed a man enter with several guards. Mcalpin snapped a salute, while Al-Omari bowed in recognition of the newcomer.

"Sir! I thought you had decided not to accompany your forces on this campaign..." Mcalpin said, confused.

"Nonsense, I have been in that office for too long, and besides, this is a civil war in a Hegemonic nation and therefore my responsibility. I should be as involved as possible in bringing it to a swift and satisfactory end."

"But sir, what about your personal safety?"

"What about it? we are surrounded by several million Hegemonic and Greal trooops, i feel rather secure in such a situation. Worst case scenario, I am killed and the government's cause gains a martyr to sway the populous towards supporting them even further."

Lord Sumguy walked to look at the screen the two Generals were in front of, and his face fell. "It would seem most of the work has been done without us."

Mcalpin snapped a salute, while Al-Omari bowed in recognition of the newcomer.

"Sir! I thought you had decided not to accompany your forces on this campaign..." Mcalpin said, confused.

"Nonsense, I have been in that office for too long, and besides, this is a civil war in a Hegemonic nation and therefore my responsibility. I should be as involved as possible in bringing it to a swift and satisfactory end."

"But sir, what about your personal safety?"

"What about it? we are surrounded by several million Hegemonic and Greal trooops, i feel rather secure in such a situation. Worst case scenario, I am killed and the government's cause gains a martyr to sway the populous towards supporting them even further."

With lightning speed, the 55,000 peeled off New Klim, and dashed across the country to the Lexer Plains. There, the division intended to ambush the Red Skull, and take down their aircraft, with their trusty Soviet and American SAM's.

On 1600, the 55,000 charged across the plains to the back of the Red Skull line, aided by a fuisillade of Tank Shotgun rounds...

Without saying anything, Ingram turned around and headed back to the UH-60, along with several Marines and a Commissar "I have something to deal with, I'll be back soon!" He said to Sarah, just as the helicopter began to take off "I heard Lord Sumguy is here! I have to talk to him..."

About 20 minutes later, Ingram's helicopter landed at Womer port, near the Sumguian base. Ingram, along with his men casually walked towards the Sumguian HQ and opened the doors "Could someone please direct me to Lord Sumguy?"

The fighting in Lexer Plains has become a grueling one. Although the other side seemed to be a wreck, advancing was halted in exchange for foxholes and trenches.

The commanders decided to have a huge strafe of bombers, ordering the bombers to "drop every damn bomb you have, and then do it again."

The Mokan forces helped the Greal and allies clean up the city and do last minute sweeps while Generalissimo Yuri was flown back to Mokastana to help with the Civil war. He was very influential with the non-Pure Blood Mokan soldiers, such as Bolivians, Columbians, Gringos, or Mejican. They hoped that he could convince them to surrender, which Yuri was rather good at, when drunk of course.

OOC: That post assumes that the airbase personnel have surrendered and left the base. Its an example of Shenyangi 'Strategic Asset Denial'. We take out the base permanently, so now it can't threaten us and we don't have to protect it. Its close enough to the Aust airport and my naval force that having a third airbase is unnecessary, and a drain on defensive resources. As a result, we destroyed the base keeping it from becoming any kind problem for my forces.

The huge masses of troops wasn't pretty... the largest battle they ever fought was the Heraklion War, which was a 2-week ordeal of 5 million troops fighting for every room of the city.

Either way, the Army doctrine was very effective with large numbers: just maximize the number of troops each soldier can kill. This made the whole military self-trained crack troopers.

Besides, the Lexer Plains are huge, and the 55,000 are only a few compared to that of Sumguy and "Controlled" Greal. The 1.2 million would not divert themselves onto an all-out attack on some force a 20th of their size....

Finally, the Dunerian 34th armored company broke through the Red skull lines, and entered Red skull territory. By that time, the Dunerian military had mobilized,

Rykov had called the Greal general, and asked for targets, As well as Lord Sumguy and Ingram.

Rykov awaited their answers.

The Reserve Force kept at Womer Port was quite literally too much to keep locked away behind the lines. There was about 20,000 extra troops, and Admiral Buwan knew just what to do with them. He began contacting the allied force leaders in Lexer Plains.

"This is the Grand World Order Flagship Grand Commander, do not open fire upon us. We are carrying GRIFFITH-II himself."

The forces aimed their weapons toward a scantily defended rear end of the Skull forces.

The tanks led a continuous 1-minute staccato of fire, each cannon firing at different times to acheive this effect. The Teutons opened fire with their AMRAAMs and huge GAU-5's. The B-52's and the C-130 gunships dropped, shot and launched their loads of terror toward the Red Skull fortifications. The soldiers charged, running from barricade to barricade, assault rifles blazing and grenades flying.

The strike force maintained a route that kept them clear of hostile fire, but the jammers remained active, as an added level of protection.

ETA to launch point: 2 hours 30 minutes

Greal radar stations detected the force, but didn't bother telling the Greal generals,n the aircraft force was one of Greal's allies. Red Skull radar stations were all disabled by Greal fighters, so the Red Skull had no clue of the Shenyangi planes were coming.....

As allied cruise missiles began to rain onto the Red Skull, the Red Skull responded with 2,000 cruise missiles (The Red Skull exhausted its stock now.) on the allied forces that were attacking the Red Skull positions in Lexer Plains. Greal troops marched across the plains to the Red Skull positions.
"FIRE!"yelled the Greal general in charge, at that moment, 1 million Greal troops attacked the Red Skull positions, but the allied force was also going to attack.........

Greal fighters began dogfighting the Red Skull fighters in the air, plane after plane went down.....

The Sumguaian forces surged forward at once upon seeing the Greal advance. They caught the marching Greal troops and passed them, eager to engage the Red Skull infantry.

The Shenyangi fighters reached their launch point. It was dark, well before dawn, and the engine flares from the jets lit the skies a mix of blues and purples, an artificial aurora, preceeding the impending the destruction.

"AWACS Ghost Eye to all strike group fighters. You are weapons free. Fire at will."

In unison, the TAF-622 Sparrows rolled inverted, dropped several hundred feet below the armada, and released their weapons. The flare of 1200 jet engines igniting momentarilly flashed the sky to gold, then it faded back to the blues of the fighters. The JSOWs locked into their attack vectors, and accelerated toward the Red Skull positions.

Upon reaching their target areas, they deployed their payloads, anti-personnel and anti-armor bomblets rained down on the Red Skull forces in droves.

The Shenyangi air fleet turned tail, and headed for home, they moved as fast as the AWACS could manage.

A lone MiG-41 remained over the combat area, at 105,000 feet, observing the weapon impacts for later assessment. It would have been almost totally invisible to radar, as it was only moving at 450 miles per hour, and its defensive payload of 2 AMRAAMs and 2 IRIS-T was carried internally. It carried a pair of RAM-coated recon pods under the wings. Their shape and composition made them all but invisible.

After the bombardment, 150 Mi-24 Hinds and 120 MI-28's went into the fray, firing cannon rounds and rocket's at anything that moved.*

The Dunerian Tank companies began their advance, supported by the 34th infantry platoon.

Whatever had survived the firestorm, would be totally destroyed.
