Cards was not the only thing they did during the long 3 hour trip to New Terra, they made sure they had a way out to get past the inspection team. They propped up some of the deck plating and hid inside in areas where they could fit. After getting in they tightened the bolts back up just enough not to look any different. Just in case they were, they knew there was another way around that, they crawled though the tight area between the inner and outer hull of the cargo bay floor to a spot away from the deck plating they removed and stayed quiet. They would wait for the dock hands to start unloading, take a couple out and take there uniforms. They couldn't do that with the inspection team, difference of the team going in and out would raise alarms right away. Dock crews on the other hand had new people behind hired every day so new people would be common.

"hey Hank come look at this" one of the membembers of the inspection team called

"what you find phil?"

"it looks like some of the deck plating have started to come loose" Phil pointed to where a couple bolts wernt lying flush with the rest of the plates

"humm..." hank reached out and tried twisting the bolts with his fingers but found them to be to stif for manual movement and then started looking throug the loggs "humm it looks like its due for astandared maintanence anyway... we'll call maintanence team to come have a look at it when they get a chance. anyone have anything else to report?"

"no sir inspection shows green"

"aight we are done hear lets clear out and give the dock hands some room to work"

"i hear that... hey anyone hear about that new bar that opend up in c block of bakers ridge?"

"yeah is that the one with the midevil theam"

"yeah thats the on- i w-s g--ng --- ---" the men continued talking as the walked out of hearing range of the docked shuttle

After they heard the inspection team leave the three of them got back into position to get out. They waited for the dock crews to start coming in to make there move. They got out and into the cargo area and took cover behind all the boxes of food. One dock worker entered and went right to the back, without delay the team leader knocked him out silently and stole his uniform. They put the man between the two hulls and waited for two more. Before long two more came and they were disposed of to give them all uniforms to get out of there. They stashed them under the panels gently, when they wake up it will either be the maintenance crew, or a inspection team back in Panama who would find them.

The three grabbed a large food crate and began hauling it out of the shuttle. They got it off and put it on a truck, they helped unload every thing as to blend in with every one else and not look suspicious. Once all the unloading was done they left the dock yard and the entire facility behind. Navigating the hall ways to get to the colonies interior. Once there they were pretty much set for now.

"Alright which way?" one asked looking around the area "It's to damn big, i'd say this way, so damn easy to get lost around here now a days" the team leader said as they began there trip to get proper new Terra ID. After about 20 minutes they found the right place, a small shop on the corner of Elm and 23rd street. They walked in and went to the front desk where the owned was "Dock workers eh? just get off shift?" the man asked them. The team leader looked at him "Fire bird" he said, it was the code word they were to use when they met this guy "It's you!, well come on it will take a few minutes to get this all done" he waved them into the back room. After about fifteen minutes they had all there ID, and even a house ready for them to live in and begin operations. They then walked out of the store and to there new undercover lives.

1 depending on your how good your contact is, the best ID you likely to get is an unlimited civilian pass, granting unrestricted acess to all public areas as well as travel between the joined colonies an/or a low level corperate ID millitary/sicurity ID's being tightly controled and monitored

2. you are most likely in Bakers Ridge considering thats where the shuttle docked. you will not encounter any Beta's or have any acess to the habitat where they are located without some inside help because its been isolated from the rest of the habitats due to "constuction"

The house was of moderate size, attached garage, two floors, and a drive way "Not bad of a place" one of them said as he opened up the door. They all took what little they had which was just there jackets and one small case inside. They hung there jackets up and toured the house "This is quite the amazing place inside" the other one said just seeing two rooms "Just remember the story, this is my place and you two are just crashing till you get your own" the team leader said.

"Right" one of them said "Jack go check the basement" the team leader shouted over to him "Yeah, yeah, sure thing Micheal, why don't you have Kevin check the upstairs to" Jack said as he went down the stairs. Micheal looked out into the yard as Kevin went upstairs, then came a shout from Jack "Hey! guys! theres a pool table down here!" he yelled up the stairs, immediately the guys came running down. When they saw it they were amazed, a pool table right beside a bar "Was this house built on a tavern?" Kevin said with a laugh.

"Alright enough fun and games, down to business" Micheal said putting the things they brought with them on the pool table. He put them all out on display "Alright plan is to copy the magazine and get it ready to go, we got a advanced copy of the next issue, it may be picture less but those will be sent later our operation will need to make the republic think there are more then just three of us, dozens maybe even hundreds we need to make them think, if we can make people here know theres a resistance left and going strong we just might trigger rebellion or at least a underground movement, and remember no radical action, we only have this bomb with us so that if this place is discovered they will think theres a bigger plan going on"

"Yeah, well that shouldn't be to hard, we have the connections up here, we might need to go to other districts though, either way if we can get them to feel like we are watching them and know whats going on, it will be one more thorn in Sage's side"

the only problem with earth - coloney comnications was other than millitart and govenrment lines everything whent to a hub in earth orbit to be beamed out to the colony and it was monitored on bothends. all text baised coms were put through a series od filters to check for key words before being let through and the recipient monitered if anyhing turned up.

live feeds where a dfrent matter. they where brokendown into Public (news ect) personal (phone calls ect) Private (corporate teleconfrencing ect) and these where furthere isolated onto individual carryerwaves wich could be isolated if keywords poped up in conversating

this was how control was maintained over the residents of the habitats they where told only what the government wanted them to hear and and with the masive jamming faild sureouding the colony no out side comms where getting withough a highlevel government or militart code and thosewhere monitored and traced to veryfy authenticity

AOI Base: On board the Red Phoenix


Stoner walked into his office and over to his computer "Ah its all ready" he said referring to the pictures for the latest issue. He made a couple clicks around his screen and activated a program called "secrets" this program took the entire issue and encoded it taking a available list of key words they knew the republic searches for and others that they might look for and changing them to something completely different. the process would take several minutes but it would get past most if not all the republic filters allowing them to mass distribute from there own computer network. He then got on the ship communication line "Whats the status of the Information net?" He asked to the right area of the ship "She's online, and ready to go again" came a reply from some one "good work, thank you" Stoner said closing off the communications line. He then went to his computer and put it on the network.

New Terra

Micheal looked on his PDA to check the network status, it had been down for some time now, he then saw it as online and checked to see if it was there "Not yet" he said to him self putting his PDA back in his pocket. It would be some time before part 1 of the file would be on the Phoenix net work ready to download. Part two would come later, part 2 would contain personal interviews and other data that couldn't be pre-prepared for the issue.

"incoming data burst" a technition called this happened about once every 15 minuets for strait data transfers the live transfers had there own protocols and an entire wing was given over to monitoring those "beginning preliminary scans filtering catch words to assigned file" this was only the first stage it gave them a place to look at them more closely.

the problem with an out dated list that you didn't know what ones a been added... most where freed up with a paragraph check to see it was related to anything they where watching for and the rest where pulled for deeper scrutiny

in the end the where with a small pile of documents that might be holding messages hidden in bad grammer these would be traced and a pair of operatives whew sent to keep an eye on things

He then looked at the status bar "Two minutes twenty six seconds, once complete the connection will be severed, I just hope the data encryption and the attempts to get past the filter buy us the time we need" Micheal said while sitting in a chair while watching tv in front of a fire place.

"I just hope our guys thought of all the words the republic has added to the list since we got a hold of it" Kevin told him walking into the kitchen to grab a drink.

A pair of young women where sitting in a street cafe enjoying a cup of coffee in the afternoon light when one of there cellphones rang with the distinctive tone of the Terran Anthem she pulled it out and answered it "Olive here"

"secure line"

she hit a couple keys and waited for the confirming tone "line secure go ahead"

"we are tracing a suspicious file to your section. hold for exact address" there was a pause of a few moments before he responded again Olive taking the opportunity to finish her coffee "address confirmed sending you the text"

3 seconds later the text message arrived on her phone "message receaved comm silence requested"

"granted command out" the line went dead 14 seconds before the file transfer would be completed

"Mission?" her partner asked

"of course Jacqui" why else would command call. she opened a hidden pocket in her bag and changed the face plates on her phone from the Terran Orange to her red and black wood pattern and took out a pair of earings that where the symbol for the Oceanic Union and put them on.

"you know thats just wrong" Jacqueline said finishing changing her face plates and turning her bag to the reverse pattern

"i know but its so convincing" and it was. to the casual observer it would look like she was silently supporting the union but to anyone who knew she was SO8 it was a silent mockery that the union was merely another trinket in the hands on the republic

the pair got up from there table payed there tab and started down the street to the address on Olives cell

"one minute twenty four seconds left, If we didn't get past the filter they should be on there way" Micheal said as Kevin came over to him "It will still download on the move right?" He asked.

"Yeah, Is every thing set here?"

"Yes, if they are coming they will think the operations been here for weeks or months, and the bomb is live so that will give them a problem or two"

"Good work kevin, Jack get down here!" Micheal shouted

"Yes?" Jack said running down the stairs

"S.O. 8 might be on there way, Nearest office should be five min away that gives us a head start, I suggest we use it, plant the wire and lets get a move on"

"Micheal, under Delta sixteen green authorization give me the PDA i'll get it out of here" Jack said holding out his hand.

"Vary well, Good luck Jack, we will meet up in Copper field district" Micheal said handing over the PDA which now showed the download was complete and the connection terminated.

"Kevin take the car, me and Micheal will go on foot" Jack said, Kevin nodded and quickly left the room to get to the car in the garage. Mean while Micheal and Jack left the house though the back door, and locking the back door they went through the back gate and took the ally ways. Kevin started up the car, pulled out and went north bound on the main street, trying not to look to suspicious. After running for a block Jack and Micheal split up and went separate ways. Micheal was heading towards the river to the west while Jack was heading to a quiet area near by to the south east.

Olive and Jacqueline saw 2 men walk out of an ally before heading in separate directions one walking away from them and one towards. the pair wouldn't e suspicious because they where faking an animated discussion about and irrelevant topic that was in no way relating to anything going on. as the got closer one of them accidentally bumped into the man

He then got serious "But seriously I haven't seen to many places with for rent or for sale signs on them"

"Cover ups of what truly happened in Cairo and Paris" Micheal said with a hint of anger in his voice and a anti-republic sentiment "Personally I'd soon be free like Europe, or fight for freedom like the Twilight Phoenix then live with my civil rights being taken away day in and day out, heck just by saying this I can be arrested because the republic and Sage in all his load of BS wisdom can't take criticism on how they are doing things, thats why things like talk shows and think tanks don't exist because they question the republic to much"

If he was talking with S.O. 8 agents they should of already had him in a interrogation room by now but he still had his guard up.

of course he was crazy talking about revolution to some people he just met or even for thinking about it to begin with. sure Russia had rebelled but it really was only a matter of time until the ultimate goal of the republic was realized

Olive had been waiting for that it was considered a last ditch attempt to prove alligence solely depends on the agent involved. most agents would arrest some one on site but the ones who could bluff there way out of it where usually given the more sensitive field assignments and Olive was one such agent

"hey" she ran over to him and grabbed his free hand "heres my number call me if you want help with any of that gardening" she wrote her actual cell number on his hand the ink containing several micro transmitters which would allow them to track him anywhere in the colony but as a precaution she had also used the motion of grabbing his hand to apply an additional transmitter which would after a couple days would look just like pealing skin and fall off and be utterly untraceable at that point

after he had walked off Jacqueline just smirked

"god i deserve an academy award or something" Olive said as she was openly grinning she hit a code on her phone that activated the transmitters which would link to her display as well as be transfered to HQ she also sent a short text message target located tracers active. pursuing with discretion

the two then turned and went back to the street cafe that was there base of operations and order another drink. if he got the hint about helping with the gardening he be contacting them if not he would lead them to his friends

Micheal after thanking the girl for the number continued on his way "Help? not likely" he whispered to him self as he walked away. To say the least he was a little more calm but he still had the being watched feeling which was getting on his nerves. He continued his way to the hard ware store which was only two blocks away to get the supplies he needed "Just hope the others get to there objectives" he thought to him self as he walked down the street.

New Terra

Olive watched his movements on her phone she noted that he didn't even stop anywhere near the gardening center

"no we keep watching him the camera's will eventually identify his accomplices. then we'll nab them all." she paused for a moment "i just hope he calls me back... he was cute after all"

Jacqueline just rolled her eyes "sometimes your utterly hopeless"

Star had finally gotten the simulator reprogrammed the way she liked it the displays where slightly different but the controls where similar enough that she didn't need to reconfigure them she restarted the unit so that the changes would take effect and from there proceeded to thrash the logged records in the available simulations

However in fact Micheal was just one of those guys who loved his tools and was taking his time getting to the back of the store where the gardening supplies were. When he did get back there, he put a bag of the proper fertilizer he needed over each shoulder, a shovel, a pair of gloves, and two small pots. He brought them one by one to the counter were he then paid for it all "Need a hand sir?" the clerk asked "No I'm good" He said loading every thing up barely able to carry it all. He then left the store and went back to the hide out. When he got back to the place he went in the back gate and put everything down. His cell phone then began to ring, he pulled it out of his pocket and answered it "Hello?"

"Micheal it's Kevin, just spoke with Jack he is half way to the target location from his current point, we are moving to phase two"

"Good work"

"By the way Jack said you were intercept by two people, who were they?"

"Just locals, though one did seem weird she was openly wearing jewels from a non-republic country"

"Is that so? well it sounds like a S.O.8 tactic if you ask me, they might be tracking you now"

"No way I'm not being followed"

"Tell me this did she give you her number on paper or on your hand?"

"Hand, why?"

"I'll get back to you on that one later, every things fine now out" Kevin said hanging up the phone on his end. Micheal hung up the phone and went back to his business with yard work. There was a lot of work ahead of him.

Meanwhile Kevin called Jack back on a secure cell line "Kevin, did you find out from Micheal?"

"Yeah, looks like a standard S.O.8 move, I think they got him traced already"

"Damnit, I hate working with the newbies, alright Kevin begin watching Micheal, if they move to pick him up you know what to do"

"Roger that Jack, good luck with the next phase"

"Yeah, we need it now, Jack out"

Jack then hung up the phone, the line from Jack's cell phone was encoded and secure. It would take even the republics best software days to decode and trace by then the message within the call would be gone. Jack himself was moving towards the target point, a contact that would help them with what the current phase of operations required.

Red Phoenix

The atmosphere for every one was more relaxed, repairs were on schedule and every thing was going according to plan. Well a new plan set out by the allied forces against the republic. They still had one final meeting before they begin operations and the council would address the entire fleet as well to make a special announcement. It wasn't a good one either, its more of those announcements that leads don't like to give but it was a time of war so they had to.

Jacob could only sigh from his dissatisfaction with answers from the recent events. Star was now in suspicion of him, many diplomats, including Rolf, found themselves questioning his stability, and now everyone around him was wondering about his ability to serve. Despite this, he found himself asking, "What does Hades want?" He couldn't help but wonder. "If Hades and I are connected somehow, can I find a way to learn what he wants?" He stood up and formed an idea of what to do, "I must find what Hades wants..." He grasped his locket and began to leave the room. He began walking the hall way to reach the hangar, hoping not to run into any familiar faces along the way. He would make sure to avoid Star that was sure, at least until they could sort things out between him and her. Upon reaching the bay and finding Terra in its place, he ran over to the panel and placed his hand on it. As soon as a voice said, "TERRAN TYPE ACCEPTED." Jacob rushed into the door and shut it closed...

The crew member nodded and sent word along the chain of command to Talho. When she got word of it she wondered what was going on "Is he planning to launch from here? the idiot he could give the entire installation away, damnit what are they thinking" she said. There wasn't much she could do except see what he was going to do, depending on that she would either scold her allies or leave them be.

As soon as Jacob was inside Terra, he saw the systems were activated. He sat in the seat and began spreading his hands across the panels. "How is it I can find Hades?" He wondered to himself. He knew there had to be a way to contact Hades with the special powers he and Terra shared. With that, he began to picture Hades from the many times he encountered it. When he had his mind on Hades, he could tell he heard something... He could only hear faint whispers at first, but he began to focus more on the image of Hades. Perhaps if he continued to do what he was doing, he would be able to talk to Hades. "Perhaps I will soon learn what he wants..."

New Terra

"If Micheal has been compromised, maybe we can use it to our advantage? play them while they play us" Jack said to him self as he walked down a ally towards his objective. Jack was the more dunning member of the team and not only was Micheal a newbie but it was his first command, and it seemed it would be his last to. Jack knew to pull this all off they needed what he was about to do. He exited the ally and walked across the street to a office build. He opened the door and walked in "Hello, can I help you?" the young woman at the desk asked. Jack nodded "I'm here to see Mr. Henrington"

"Do you have a appointment?"

"Yes, Under Jack T."

"Ah yes here it is, go ahead" she said to him, Jack then nodded and walked past the front desk and down the hall to the right office. He knocked on the door and want in "Been awhile old friend" Jack said as he entered.

"Jack, you S.O.B. its been to long" Mr. Henrington said walking over and shacking Jack's hand. Jack then sat down in a chair as Henrington sat down in his at his desk "So do you have it?" Henrington asked.

"Yes, can you print it?"

"Damn right we can, give it to me and we can have thousands ready by morning"

"Good, you have two days thats when it will appear world wide"

Jack then began downloading the file into Henringtons private laptop computer which he used for secret business deals. Jack then relaxed as he waited for it to finish "I went through it as I came here, seems they managed to compress it all into one file instead of the usual two, open file J27 and its all there ready to go"

"Alright well, this will be on all news stands at the designated time, it will pop up over night republic won't see it coming"

"Damn right they won't, heh you've been a great help Ben"

Hades only gave the answer, "The time has not come for you to know, nor would you accept it should you learn..."

Holland wiped the sweat off his head after moving a large box of parts for the mobile suits for the crews to use. One shouted over to him "Hey you wanna crab me a Hk-98T out of there?" came the call, Holland opened it up and grabbed the right part and brought it over. He gave it to the man and went back to work moving supplies to various ships. He had finished his repair work so this was his new task to help out. It would be a long few days before the fleet is ready to go again.

Hades laughed at the statement and said, "Join the Republic... I would never ask someone as powerful as you to take a side in this worthless war..."

Rolf and Oleg where crouched behind a tree the rest of the men similarly in hiding there had parked there vehicle's a distance away and walked in trudging through the snow

No matter how long this cycle must continue, humanity will repeat it forever... Unless we can put an end to it..."
Jacob couldn't imagine what Hades was proposing. He tried to get a confirmation of it by asking, "What are you suggesting?"

Obviously in referance to how he was having trouble with Star and his fellow fighters... Jacob felt a great weight grow in his heart and didn't know what to say.
Jacob tried to avoid the statement by asking, "How is it you know so much about these mobile suits while you don't fight for the Republic?"

OOC: Right, that should be good. I'll try and bring things up to speed then. This bit is when Jacob enters the Terra.

IC: Tom rushed to the hangar bay when he and Mervin were told of activity in that area. Someone had opened Terra's cockpit, and if anyone other than Jacob was in it, that could spell great trouble. "Then again, can we be safe if the Prince is in there as well?" Tom wondered to himself. As soon as he reached the hangar bay, he ran over to Terra and found he was too late. The mobile suit was active... But for whatever reason, it wasn't lifting off or moving at all. Tom didn't have time to wonder about this, so he ran over to the cockpit enterance and tried to open it. In that moment though, he forgot Terra's accessibility system was not like that of the usual mobile suit. He was reminded of this when he placed his hand on the panel and was told, "TERRAN TYPE DENIED".
Tom knocked his fist on a rail and swore, "Damn it!" He wasn't able to get into the mobile suit, only someone else would be. He got out his telecom and reported, "Merv! Someone has already breached into Terra! I don't know why, but it's not moving!"
"Damn... It looks like we need to get Star down there and deactivate Terra. Quickly, find her as soon as possible and get her to open the cockpit!"
"Understood!" Tom ran off to find Star and hopefully gain her help in stopping the Terra from causing any trouble to the inner ship...

OOC: I think we should wrap this chapter up with the push into russia, recruit some people, shame we lost another one any way I would pick up some characters and get the load off you guys but I have no clue what his characters have been up to, I could probably take a role within the remnant fleet

Twilight phoenix forces were completely out of the loop of what was going on with the Terra, they were occupied with repairs and other duties around the fleet that had bigger priorities then wondering what every one else was doing. Major repairs to ships were already done seeing as the Red phoenix was the only ship in combat. The mobile suits on the other hand had heavy damage as a whole and would require a couple days to get them all running properly again.


New Terra

Rolf and Oleg where crouched behind a tree the rest of the men similarly in hiding there had parked there vehicle's a distance away and walked in trudging through the snow

"i don't know.. there markings say there CAS but why the hell would they be way up here. i meen this has got to be the ass end of no where for them" he passed the binoculars back to Rolf

"well there not Republic thats for sure, so" he paused for a moment "lets go see what they want" he then started out from the tree line

"Rolf!"Oleg tried grabbing for him but was to slow and was afraid to be seen "damn you" he took a moment to gather his courage and then ran out to walk beside his friend "why she married you I'll never know."

the pair walked in silence towards the base tat was hastily being constructed praying to god the didn't get shot in the process

Lt. Muller looked out over the developing base. The materials here were enough for the center of the base, the primary command center, the mantainence center, and several SAM units which now swiveled on their turrets as each of their indepentant radars scanned the sky. However, the majority of the other buildings had to be built of local materials and all the solider and a majority of the mobile suits went to work collecting trees to form the base permiter and the majority of the buildings such as barracks and hangers. A single barrack had been finished, it was the first building where the soldiers would now sleep in shifts as the work continued. It was a building that was sunk into the ground and covered with dirt. Thus it was immune to regular bullets and also had some camouflage.
The Lt. turned around and he saw several people approach. he singnaled over to a resting platoon. These people quickly grabbed their weapons and moved over with the lt. The people approaching were seemingly unarmed but the soldiers still pointed their guns anyway according to regulations. The Lt. then called out.
"this is the CAS northern expeditionary force. State your intention, should you attempt to flee without answering the question you will be shot on site without further warning."

Star was completely absorbed in the simulator. the usual group of people had gathers to watch on the view screen there existance only registering enough in her senses for her to be able to react if anyone them did something that could be considered a threat otherwise they where effectively tuned out.

New Terra

it had been several hours since they bumped into Micheal Olive and Jacqueline where currently in the SO8 HQ on New Terra having gone there after retuning to the cafe to maintain there cover and because it also had some of the best coffee in the colony's

"are you sure about him?" there commander asked "after all its been several hours since you tagged him and all hes done is stop at the hardware store like your report said he was going to do"

"If i wasn't i would have canceled the trace." Olive began "no he was far to confident in himself to be merely another dissident... no he has allies on the station"

"the call he got earlyer?"

"possibly but imposable to confirm since we didn't have audio i meen the camers can see most things depending on the angle, but the audio receivers have to be isolated on the targent and even then theres a certain amout of background noise that will be picked up and in this case it was enough to comleatly scramble the signal... we didn't even get a clear enough shot to attempt lip reading"

"either way" Jacqueline interupted since olive was starting to ramble "if it was his allies theres a chance they suspect him"

"so what is your recommendation?" the commander asked

"we keep waiting the full 24 hours for standard tagging then we grab him and make him talk."

Oleg instantly had his hands in the air "Не стреляйте, не стреляйте! мы не Землянин!" he yelled slipping into Russian instead of the more common English that normally prevailed in Terran controlled country's especially one that had been held as long as Russia.

"Hmm I wonder if we should send out a expeditionary force ahead of every thing else to scout ahead of the main force" Stoner said to him self as he was wandering about between tasks. It was a vary tricky issue, while such a force could provide much needed intelligence, it could also give away the element of surprise they had to rely on. He would have to get the opinions of every one else including there allies for something like that since it could endanger the entire mission.

Inside Terra

"Now you know how it feels to have power thrust upon you Jacob... You know what it is like to learn that what you fight for is insignificant and not worth existing." Hades obviously knew of how Jacob had changed Star's perspective on the Republic, now that same feeling was being placed upon Jacob. Was it simply something Hades was able to convieniantly muster? Or was it coming from a similar power he had?

Either way, he knew how everyone: Simms, Nelson, Jaron, Rolf, Roland, the Asians, the Twilight Phoenix, possibly even Star if he began to learn more about her, were all beginning to accept the idea of the Army of Islam being brought into the resistance. What good would it be then? Would the Army of Islam be content with freeing its people, or would it go on to accomplish more? If the Army went on to replace the Republic's presence, would it be just another World War waiting to happen? Could Jacob do anything to stop it?

Jacob tried to say, "If I met with the Leader..."
Hades answered, "You do not have the power to sway others to the path of peace. You possess the greatest weapon forged by man, you cannot hope to see them change their ways willingly." Jacob began to feel more and more defenseless. Perhaps Hades was right to some degree... "If you join me however, I can show you how we can end this cycle man has set himself in since the dawn of time..."

"Hey Holland!" came a voice in the distance "Yeah what!" he yelled back "We need some help with some heavy lifting, go grab your G3 and give us a hand" the voice shouted back. He couldn't tell who it was at that moment, but either way he went to the hanger of the Red Phoenix and jumped in the G3-Saviour. Repairs on it were complete and it was just the bare suit at the moment, none of the weapon packs were attached. He walked the suit out of the hanger, cockpit open and went over to where the voice came from "bout time you got here Holland" the voice said when he arrived. He finally was able to tell who it was but either way he had work to do so it was not important "What do I need to move?" he shouted down "Take these boxes over to the transports behind you"

"Alright" he said picking the large boxes which were more or less shipping containers filled with parts. He turned his suit around and began walking to deliver the supplies.

Even though day was turning to night no one could tell from the inside of the base. However some were allowed to go outside for fresh air when there shift for the day ended so they could get some rest. Holland was now finishing up as well with the last of the moving he had to do. One large container he lifted over from the Red Phoenix to a group of transports with help from another mobile suit. The supplies from the entire fleet were now scattered about but under lock and key and guard by the night watch. Holland brought his suit back to the ship and knelled it down on one knee and got off, locking the cockpit. He then went out side for his couple minutes of fresh air before getting some sleep. When he got outside he looked up at the dark sky lit up by the stars "So peaceful and quiet" he said sitting down.

"Some thing on your mind Holland?" came a voice from behind him. He turned his head to look and see who it was "Just the usual things that can be expected, I'm sure you have plenty on your mind to Mu"

He noticed the visual monitor was showing that Star was outside as if she was waiting for Jacob. Jacob simply remained where he was and began waiting for her to leave. "Do you deny her your audience?"

Jacob sat there and said, "As long as I remain in here, she will leave..."

Hades inquired, "So you are unwilling to amend ties with her?"

Jacob could only feel his will break then when he said, "Yes..."

"Very well then..." The Terra's eyes had changed from the normal green to red and were now gazing down at Star. Hades gave a command, "There she stands... She is of no need to you... Destroy her..." Jacob fealt a shot of fear run through him, Hades was trying to gain control yet again. Outside, the latches holding on to the right arm were shaking.

Jacob fealt his right arm assume the role of that outside and began to struggle with Hades for control. The arm began to shake more violently and Hades said, "Your powers have grown... Most impressive..." "I shall have to resort ot other motives... As soon as Jacob heard that, he felalt a more banging pain in his head and fealt himself slowly lse control over the arm.

He couldn't win this confrontation, Hades seemed to have pulled a new trick up his sleeve. Jacob needed to get out now. He used what will power he had and forced himself to stand up and lunged towards the exit panel. "AAAAAAAHHH!!!" As soon as his hand hit the panel, the presence of Hades had immeadietly dissapeared and Star's was the only one in front of him. His hand was still on the panel and he was currently looking down while trying to regain his composure.

"She's not worthless... She's not worthless..." Jacob kept reminding himself, hoping to rid of any thoughts Hades might have placed in him to kill her later.

Tom added, "And the fact you were inside Terra forced me to get She-ra over there. She only did so based on orders. If I have to do that again, she'll be after my skin for big game."
Jacob answered, "I knew this, but it's not possible for me to gain entry when we are not under attack."
Mervin asked, "And you had to enter Terra for what reason? Let alone just two hours before the Army's finished with repairs?"
"I've..." Jacob found this hard to explain. What could he possbily do to tell these three what had happened in such an open area?
Alex gestured, "Come on Jacob, maybe you should tell us everything that happened inside Terra first." Jacob nodded and the four walked into a briefing room to hear Jacob's story.

"Well better not stay out here to long, we all need our rest" Mu said standing up and brushing his pants off. He then put his right hand in his pocket and walked back inside to go get some sleep. Holland stayed out in the warm Arabian night for awhile longer. After every thing that happened it's not like he could get a good sleep any way, but he knew if he didn't head back soon some one would drag him back. So he stood up, brushed him self off and went back to get him self some sleep.

"Well better not stay out here to long, we all need our rest" Mu said standing up and brushing his pants off. He then put his right hand in his pocket and walked back inside to go get some sleep. her dark hair had been pulled back and secured with what looked to be 2 plane sticks but what where actually sticks of incense lending a somewhat aromatic fragrance to her otherwise simple appearance

Star mean while had eventually made her way back to the simulator and was now just siting in it her hands griping the controls the screen was the mission select screen but she just stared at it trying to figure out what was the point was there anything left to prove and if there was who did she need to prove it to

He then continued on, he was still sleeping in the transport plane since that was still his official posting until otherwise told. Jacob told his whole story and was soon to be given his response. The first one to speak was Tom asking, "You talked to Hades telepathically? You realize that the capabilities of the Terra haven't even been touched for research. You know that could open us up as targets to Hades right?"
Mervin told him, "I don't think it would matter Tom."
Tom asked, "Why's that?"
Mervin went on to explain, "Jacob said earlier that Hades told him that he and Terra had a power source that connected them. I think no matter what happens, Hades is constantly tracing us. He could attack any time, it's his choice."
Tom said, "I see... But that doesn't make up for the fact that he was almost taken over by Hades's power. You saw how the eyes changed and the arm tried to free itself from the constraints."
Alex interjected by asking, "I guess that's true. But Jacob, you said this happened when Star showed up right?"
Jacob mentioned that he began to lose control when Star found him, but not of the reason why this happened. "Yes, that is true."
Alex asked, "What did Hades want you to do?"
Jacob told them, "He... He wanted me to kill Star."
Mervin inquired, "Is that so? Does he want her dead?"
Jacob answered, "He said that if she's no worth to me, then she doesn't deserve to live."
Tom was baffeled and asked, "No worth to you? I know Hades says he wants you to join him in ending this whole "eternal cycle of war" thing, but why's he concerned about what you want?"
"I cannot say why that is." Jacob continued by saying, "I think that this proves I must get stronger. I want to prevent this thing from ever happening again, so I will make sure my mind is strong enough to withstand Hades."
Mervin told him, "You could try and do that, but I think the best thing you can do, Jacob, is build your bond with Lynde."
Jacob asked, "You think it is possible for me to do so?"
Alex assured him, "Hey, from what Roland told me, it seems like you two are close enough. Why not give it a shot?"
Jacob told them, "I don't know... She and I have not been on friendly terms since our last meeting..."
Mervin interviened saying, "Oh come now Jacob, you need to do so. If you want to show Hades that this ship and its crew mean anything to you, you need to build close enough friendships on more than just a professional level."
Jacob knew Mervin and the others were right. Hades almost had the right trick up his sleeve to kill someone he cared for. Perhaps it was because of how detached he was to others due to the differences he saw between him and others. If this was the case, maybe building closer bonds could work... Jacob reluctantly said, "If you say so..."
Tom told him, "You can find her in the simulation room, that's where she was last."
Jacob stood up and thanked, "Thank you for your time, I'm sorry if I was of any trouble."
As Jacob left, Mervin turned to Tom and asked, "We got that on record right?"
Tom told him, "Still going."
Mervin nodded saying, "Good. Simms may want to review this later on."

Simulation Room

Jacob found Star in the simulator he was told about. It seemed that Star was about to select a mission, but noticed she was simply sitting there... As if she were contemplating something. Could she possibly be wondering about something that happened earlier? Though he knew that while she was still thinking, he had to find out if now was a good time to talk to her. Even if he did, what could he say? "How have you been?" "Are you feeling alright?" "Has anything exciting happened lately?" All sounding like rather dumb questions to introduce himself, seeing they would all likely end up at the same point, an enraged woman asking why he wasn't concerned about earlier. He tried commenting on her success with the simulation by saying, "So you've cleared the simulation quickly..." Why was he so bad at this?

Jacob found Star in the simulator he was told about. It seemed that Star was about to select a mission, but noticed she was simply sitting there... As if she were contemplating something. Could she possibly be wondering about something that happened earlier? Though he knew that while she was still thinking, he had to find out if now was a good time to talk to her. Even if he did, what could he say? "How have you been?" "Are you feeling alright?" "Has anything exciting happened lately?" All sounding like rather dumb questions to introduce himself, seeing they would all likely end up at the same point, an enraged woman asking why he wasn't concerned about earlier. He tried commenting on her success with the simulation by saying, "So you've cleared the simulation quickly..." Why was he so bad at this?

He maintained himself and said, "I know I may have burdened you before Star, but I want to help you in any way I can." Then he moved around to face Star with her head still down and lifted it up to meet her gaze. The eyes of who were once his enemy were now looking at him with a soft and caring gaze. He hoped that he could end Star's regret... But would it be enough to help with his as well?

Oleg instantly had his hands in the air "Не стреляйте, не стреляйте! мы не Землянин!" he yelled slipping into Russian instead of the more common English that normally prevailed in Terran controlled country's especially one that had been held as long as Russia.

We have recieved scattered reports of a rebellion in this area and as we do not normally communicate this far north we have been sent here to help in the efforts against Terra and to establish a long range communications center to coordinate efforts with the local resistance. We will attempt to provide any support needed for the continued fight against tyranny. Could you inform us of the events that have happened in this country?"

"really? word has gone that far already." rolf said as he lowered his hands. being a small comunity they had only known that the revolition was russia wide and it was thought by the comunity that the republic had put up a information blockaid butit now seemed thet it was to late news was spreading "our comunity has things well in hand, we also know the same is true for he surounding towns out side of that we have heard no news. the entire comunications network went down shortly after the Inital broadcast and the first reports started coming out from the more heavly populated areas but we don't know how things have turned out."

The slap seemed to come out of nowhere as Jacob was savoring the moment. From what Star told him, he knew that she wasn't saying anything out of disdain for him, but was now saying it out of a tone being playful. It was then that he moved out of the way to let Star access the simulation program. As the mission befan to load, he grasped Star's hand while she waited...

A guard lit a cigarette and took a puff "So whats the latest word?" he asked looking over to the man with him on night watch duty. The other guy look and him "heh nothing special, word has it there sending out a patrol in the morning to check out some sort of orbital drop north of here"

"never a dull day eh?"

"Yeah, just dull nights, just dull nights"

The Army had finally finished with repairing the Great White and its allies. When the time for the next meeting came, the Ayatollah and Jacob were meeting once again. The Ayatollah asked, "So young lord, you are still willing to meet with my master?"
Jacob answered, "Yes, I am. I hope that we can come to common grounds for a formal alliance." The Ayatollah nodded and went forward to step on the Great White with the commanding officers. On their way to the bridge, Jacob asked the Ayatollah, "You said if you had things your way, you would not let so many deaths across the world occuring. What do you mean by that?"

The Ayatollah placed his hand on Jacob's shoulder and told him, "I must ask that you do not bring such questions before me. There are some who may know what you say..." Unsure of what the Ayatollah meant, Jacob was able to tell that he didn't want to talk about the subject.

When they reached he bridge, Simms asked, "We're ready to set off. You'll be showing us the way right?"

The Ayatollah nodded and said, "Yes, but it will not require any direction. You need only wait for use to arrive there." Confused by what the Ayatollah meant, Roland was about to ask what he meant, but got his answer when the ground beneath them started to open up. The Ayatollah spoke, "Gentlemen, you are about to enter the Army of Islam's greatest achievement... We shall be arriving in the city before you question when." And the Great White and the other ships began to sink into the darkness whle being clatched on to suspenders and laid down on a rail. As soon as the ships touched the ground, the ships began to progressively build up speed to their destination...

The noise and the sudden movement woke up almost the entire fleet, first thought was they were under attack, but the noise they were hearing was not of weapons fire. The night watch on the bridge of the Red Phoenix did not know what was going on either. All they could see was the wall in front of the ship changing over and over again. Tired, half asleep and barely in uniform Talho arrived on the bridge "What the hell is going on?" she demanded as she yawned "No idea Ma'am we just started moving"

"then shut the bloody engines down, it's probably a malfunction"

"We are moving down ma'am and not under our own power"

"I have a feeling the army of Islam has something to do with this" commented the watch officer. Talho, with sleep deprived eyes looked at the officer "probably, get me fleet wide" a couple seconds later she was broadcasting to all ships in the TP fleet "Every one go back to sleep, its nothing to worry about we seem to just be going to a deeper level of the installation"

Star was in the cockpit of the darkstar rewriting the OS to accept and use the T-links wich where being mounted as she worked the whole process was gonig rather smothly as the Devices them selves had already been built it was just a mater of mounting them conecting the power transfer couplings and then testing the whole thing out to make sure it all worked and didn't interfear wit anything wich was her bigest worry as there wasn't much room for mounting aditional equipment it was a good thing there was only 4 of the actual lings to be mounted or they really would have run out of space

IC: The Ayatollah wasn't surprised to hear such a statement being made, since no one had obviously imagine that there was an undrground passage out in the middle of no where. The Ayatollah answered, "We shall be arriving in due time."
Jacob added,"You might rememberthat I wished tomeet with th leader of the Army of Islam. The Ayatollah is taking us to the hidden headquarters of where the leaders gather and plan fighting the Republic."
Simms nodded, "Yes, we should hopefully cement a formal alliance once this meeting is done."
Roland added, "We should do so quickly as well. We dont know how much time we have left before our cause in Russia could be lost."
A few moments after Roland aid this, everyone on boardwas greeted to an amazing sight. An underground city. It appeared to be a 21st century city but with more lights than usual to make up for the darkness of the underground caverns. In the center was a mosque with four pillars going above all other buildings. From where the ship's rail was headed, it was obvious that was where the master of the Army of Islam was. The Ayatollah greeted, "You now stand before Tabr'z. The last city for the remaining followers of Islam."

Jaron stepped out of the medical roomand looked outsideto the underground city of Tabr'z. He asked his friends, "Hey guys! You seeing this?"
Adam was the first to step out and marveled, "Yeah! That's something. How the hell did the Iranians get enough time to dig a hole this deep?"
"Adam! Nelson's about to lose his lunch from that shaking!"
"What? We take turns doing that?"

"Well it is impressive I'll give them that, but like all things it is only a matter of time before the republic finds it" Talho commented as she looked out the window to the city in front of them. Many were amazed at the size of the city and just how deep they were "Even so, lets hope its later on they figure it out" the night watch officer commented "What's the time any way?" she then asked.

Simms agreed, "I hope for the best of results in our joint meeting as well. I'll send out a transmission for the Phoenix leaders and the Asian leaders to join us."
The Ayatollah added, "If any women must join us, make sure that they wear the burka on the grounds of the city. Especially in the presence of my master, all must be subserviant to the traditions of Islam."
Simms simply said, "I'll be sure to add that as well."
ALL LEADERS, PLEASE JOIN AT THE LANDING SITE TO MEET WITH THE LEADER OF THE ARMY OF ISLAM, THE FINAL MEETING IS AT HAND. ALL WOMEN LEAVING THEIR STATIONED AREAS TO ENTER THE CITY, PLEASE WEAR THE BURKA TO ENSURE GOOD TERMS WITH THE PEOPLE. THAT IS ALL.

The Republic fired massive cannons from the sky and destroyed the nations that defied the Republic in the name of Allah. Not all was lost however, the people who survived found refuge in this underground region and that is how the Army of Islam began."

"No, he died 13 years ago. It was after that his son took power, and now he resides in this palace commanding all the Army of Islam does."

His answer was, "His name is only for the throne room alone, and all who enter must never reveal the name to anyone." He grasped a door handle and told them, "You will soon know him..." As he opened the door, a narrow hallway about only twice the height of an average person with torches on the side was revealed. At the end was a Middle-Eastern man in his late 30's or early 40's on a Sultan's throne. He was dressed in white garbs that covered all but his head and watched across the room with a bird's eye perception. He greeted in Iranian, without moving most of his body, "I have waited for this time... I welcome you all."

Intruiged, Shadi saw that Jacob was the only one capable of speaking his language. He stood and greeted, "Welcome, may I ask who you are to question my leadership?"
Jacob answered, "I am Jacob Thorstein. I have come to seek a compromise between us in our fight against the Republic."

As soon as the Caliph heard this, he said, "I greet you. You came to propose what you call a "compromise" of how you and I face the Republic. What makes you so certain that it is you alone who can tell me that I need to change my ways?"
Jacob answered, "It is how we shall lead the people. We cannot simply lead based on a blind alliance, and I want to ensure all who follow us that we strive for peace and ending this war."
"You come to us in a desperate time and you feel the need to ask for assurance that we will strive for the peace of all people? What assurance do you need?"
"I want to know that you will stop attacking the innocent people who have nothing to do with the war."
Intruiged by what Jacob was saying, he gestured, "Please follow me young Prince." And led him into a room which had a curtain for a door. The Caliph gestured guards to stand in front, implying this conversation was meant to be private. Inside was a room that was fit for a king, but only with a charm held back by the fact that it was an underground room. The Caliph told Jacob, "A sharp sword in the hand of a brave man kills his adversary." Those who follow the Republic are our adversaries, and we shall not allow anyone to carry on the will of the Republic. Do you not consider that to be the case?"
Jacob answered, "The Apostle gave gifts to those whose hearts were to be won over, notably the chiefs of the army, to win them and through them the people." That is what the prophet Ishaq said didn't he?"
The two continued their conversation whie using qoutes of the Quran and the sayings of other prophets to justify their positions for a long time. About an hour later, Shadi thought to himself, "So my agents were correct... There are things unexpected of him..." He told him, "I shall consider what you have said." He gestured to leave the room and told the leaders in english, "I need to consider some propositions the Prince has made. Please return within an hour." He gestured for them to leave and went to his room. He took up a communicator and spoke, "Bahman, now is the time. I want the Ayatollah and the Prince dead. I want it within the hour as well..."

When they were told to come back within the hour the Twilight Phoenix members began to leave, as they did they passed the others and Mu quickly whispered off to Rolf "Keep your guard up, I got a bad feeling about this" although Mu did get bad feelings about a lot of situations, not all of them turned out bad. He used to say thats what happens when you follow your gut. Either way they headed back to wrap things up, in one hour, as soon as they returned from the meeting they would gather and make there address to all forces "Are the preparations complete?" Talho asked.

"Yes, Ramius will be waiting for us, our next move depends on there next move"

"really? word has gone that far already." rolf said as he lowered his hands. being a small comunity they had only known that the revolition was russia wide and it was thought by the comunity that the republic had put up a information blockaid butit now seemed thet it was to late news was spreading "our comunity has things well in hand, we also know the same is true for he surounding towns out side of that we have heard no news. the entire comunications network went down shortly after the Inital broadcast and the first reports started coming out from the more heavly populated areas but we don't know how things have turned out."
