Gunfire is heard in the night in the cities of Zaheran. Bombs fall on cities and villages, artillery shells destroy homes. Tanks roll on streets filled with starving children. In the north, urban warfare has laid the former capital of Zahran in ruins before the government forces were driven away. In the south, hundreds of people has been killed in terrorist attacks performed by christian terrorist groups. In the forests and mountains in the east, the communist guerilla slaughter thousands on the bloody altar of Marx. The democratic nation of Zaheran is on the edge of breaking down. Ten presidents had been assassinated in just two months. The parliament has been obliterated by an air strike. The new president have declared a state of emergency, mobilized the army and now tries desperately to stop the rebels. In every major city still under government control, police and various criminal organisations clash in the street. Hundreds of thousands of citizens is evacuated to the relatively safe areas in the center of the country. The attacking forces is:

The Northern Military Alliance, NMA, a large army force led by General Dieter Antonn and General Lucifer Teufel. Wants to crush the democracy and take the power. Commands about 3 million soldiers and controls large parts of the northern country.

The Workers Liberation Army, WLA, a guerilla group which wants to overthrow the liberal government and replace it with a communist dictature. Commands about 300,000 men. Controls part of the forest of Nievohn and the southern part of the Dark Mountains.

The Army of the Holy Cross, AHC, a christian terrorist group. Commands about 70,000 men. Has a base on the island Chinoz in the Archipelago.

The Brotherhood, a criminal organisation. Is at war with the Cartel.

The Cartel, a criminal organisation. Is at war with the Brotherhood.

Against them stand the young republic´s army, 6 million. They have managed to stabilize the front line, but they can´t defeat the rebels. No faction can overcome the others. Not without help, that is...



You can help whichever faction you want. Note that I don´t accept invasions in this thread, as they would force the factions to unite to fend of the new threat, which would end the civil war, and we don´t want that to happen, do we?(Suppose the people would be happy though:D). Reasonable numbers of warships is welcome. Land forces up to 500 can be accepted, but note that it´s hard to get in soldiers as the government will be trying to stop them, and large ships and/or aircraft is more easily spotted(and killed) than small ones. If you support the government it´s easier to get stuff in , but you should expect an (terrorist) attack or two.

About money: First thing, i would like equipment instead. That will hopefully open up for a more exciting RPing. If you give money, tell in what form it comes(credit cards,cash,checks,gold etc). You should expect that some of your transports will be attacked.

The republic were about to have hit jackpot.

Coming in two massive container ships, guarded both visibly and invisibly by escort ships, were 4000 ex-military Breakthrough IFVs, all locked inside the stacks of continers on thier hulls.

Hidden amogst the mssive stacks were 200 crates containing ex-military Spearhead - class Main battle tanks.

All were dated, and not exactly equipped with modern technology. But coming after the two container ships would be another two, cotining 3000 MLRS units, another 400 Spearheads and 120 HLA 2 Attack Helicopters.

The pocket of terrorist rebels to the south, in a small archipelgio, were the first to be hit by Alfegos strikes.

As night fell, the sky was illuminated with huge fires as the ten planes went about offloading their payloads: 20 Vulcan Firestorm bombs.

As each bomb fell, the cointainer exploded, showering a square mile with 2000 phosphurous bomblets, that left small burning fires on the sea, and massive infernos onland as they set fire to everything they touched.

The destruction was absolute. Another strike by one of the three volcano squadrons.

At the island Chinoz, AHC headquarters.
The attack took the AHC completely by surprise. About two hundred soldiers died at once, and about a thousand were wounded. In the command bunker, cardinal Anton Mehn gathered his staff. "Those weren´t government planes, were they?, he asked the shocked officers. "No, your holyness", one man answered. "We believe that they were alfegian".
"What!", the cardinal spit out, "are those infidels also believing that they can stop our holy crusade?
"We belive so, cardinal".
Mehn calmed down. "Well, then maybe we should try and scare them off".
He walked to the communications central. "They must hear the words of the messenger of God".

The Alfegos government had heard empty threats before. They tightened security, just to be safe, and gave permission for the complete destruction of the insugents to carry on.

The Volcano squadron, having refueled, were coming back. This time, they would be more precise with their fire of choice.

As they came back over the islands, they payload doors opened, spraying the military bases identified on satellite with heavy does of napalm.

Once they had set the bases ablaze, they began phase two of the napalm attack: rural streetlighting. It was their talk for setting the roads of the island on fire, incinerating anyhting moving on them, and making them almost unusable.

Finally, with only 1/20 th of their paylod left, they dumped the rest on the largest port they could find.

A massive cloud blocked out the rising smoke: the black of scorched bodies, molten metal and immolated buildings.

A couple of submarines, Snake Class stealth subs, were lurking 50 miles offshore from the island archipelgio. They were enroute to sink as much shipping as possible, before firing off their onboard payload of missiles at any remaining militray, that would still be trying to get itself back together after being attacked so cruelly and brutally.

As a fellow republic, the Republic of Droskianishk desires to aid in the end of the civil war there. Droskianishk is willing to send Zaheran 300 million USD in small arms, 100 million USD in communications equipment, 300 million USD in assault ground vehicles, 600 million USD in avianocs equipment, 600 million USD in naval equipment. The Republic of Droskianishk also welcomes Zaheran military officers to attend our military academies, we would also like to send 1,000 Droskian military advisors to aid in the training of Zaheran soldiers. The Republic of Droskianishk would also like to set aside 10 billion USD for the reconstruction of your nation once the civil war ends, all funds total to 11.9 billion USD in cash, and much more in soldier deployments and officer training for your military. All this will be a loan which will have a .5% interest rate which will not begin to build up until 3 years after the civil war, nor will payments be expected until that time. The Dictatorship of The Tacoislands sends its great navy ( 25 nuclear subs, 10 air craft carriers, and 250 destroyers) and 300 AA Tanks, to assist the group known as NMA

At 2300 hours the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was surpisingly full, all due to a small, seemingly insignificant conflict. To be more exact, a side in the conflict.

- 'Yes. I know we do not have confirmation on the reports of genocide of christians in Zaheran, but you see what the vultures have to say on the topic.'

The minister waved his hand at a row of television sets, all of them set on a different news channel, all of them showing the same scenes of a burning island.

- 'Of-course, minister.' - said one of the numerous "advisors" present, - 'But may I draw your attention to these reports.'

He said pointing at a, small, stack of papers. The minister didn't even look, he had seen them enough times already. The advisor continued;

- 'Eighty percent of the population wants an intervention. If it were 20% we would have a hard time ignoring them, but this....'

The advisor did not finish, he didn't have to.

- 'The prime-minister....'

- 'He's waiting, minister.'

Fire rained at Chiroz. The harbor was badly damaged and 100 more men were killed, but most had managed to reach the protective bunkers in time.

The enemy had bunkers: that was what explained the lack of casualties on the satellite photography the next day.

They would have to think up something different.

5 small tactical bombers flew in formation over the island. They were armed each with 4 100lb smart bombs and 4 Screaming Oblivion ASM missiles. But these weren't the main threat.

The planes begin their bombing run over the bunker comlexes, aiming their bombs to fall thorugh any exposed ventilation shafts or doors.

The enemy would run to their bunkers again. This time however, they would not be safe in their concrete vaults.

On mainland ALfegos, there was multiple roars as 5 Sledgehammer missiles shot off thier ramps at Freedom airbase, New Zevkahy. Having been given their targets, they headed towards the bunkers, where they would try out the all new bunker-buster warhead fixed onto them.

It would pierce through the earth, then the thick concrete and steel, before deploying a 200lb charge into theinterior of the bunker, maiming most inside.

14 Colstream Air Force MK5 Viper Bombers Carrying 2 3000lb "Fire Rain" Cluster Bombs suddenly appear over the Bunker Complex. They dive from 10,000 feet and drop their cargo. The planes come in at around 500mph and the people below get to the bunkers too late as a shower of high explosive rains down killing some and seriously wounding others. The fighters then climb to 25,000 feet to escape any retaliation.

To:Zaheran:
We could supply you with some Bunker Buster Missiles with a 3000lb warhead and a napalm core which on impact penetrates the concrete and showers the people inside with the Napalm and the debris of the rocket which then self destructs 5 second after impact.

We regret your decision concerning our offer to provide a peace keeping force and do not see how you would wish to cunduct peace talks without such a presence. If you do manage such a feat of gathering all sides in the conflict Alsdair will provide a nuetral ground to negotiate on.

The AHC has rejected our proposition of peace talks. Alsdair will not support such short-minded fools, you are free to resolve the situation as you see fit.

A large scale media operation was started in Alsdair, informing the population that the AHC were "fake-christians" only using the name to gain sympathy.
Whether it would prove succesful remained to be seen as the Oppostion immediatly expressed belief that the government was merely trying to find an easy way out of the problem.

At the same time the intelligence officers in Zeheran were busy establishing contact with all sides of the conflict, searching for someone that, if victorious, would not forget to whom they owed that victory in terms of re-building contracts, arm contracts and other such matters.

This time the AHC saw the bombers coming. Now that they were ready, land based SAM-systems fired of missiles against the aircraft. Some men fired Stinger missiles at the incoming planes. One of the missiles missed it´s target and accidentally hit one of the missiles instead. The others hit and shred 600 men to pieces. In the command bunker the cardinal could hear the screams. The bunker trembled. "So", he said cooly, "they want to play with us? They will regret that"...
He raised.
"Make contact with our people in or near Alfegos. Tell them to kill as many as possible, preferably women and children".

10 A-10 Thunderbolts flew threw the skies, towards the WLA positions.
"This is Trader Alpha. Traders, armed?"
The responses came back. "Armed and operational."
"Rodger. Passing target points now." The planes began to dive, and when in range of the enemy, fired AGM-114N Hellfire II's down towards them.

Meanwhile, the Joint Strike Fighters headed for NMA airspace. Radioing the landing strip, they spoke,
"This is the Void Templarian JSF squadron, requesting permission to land." At the same time, a cargo plane headed for Government forces.
"This is the Void Templarian Challenger II carrier. Requesting permission to land."

Alfegos is fine with munitions, unless you can offer any "unconventional" munitions...

The missiles came up at them: many SAMs and stingers. Now what?
The 5 tactical bombers let rip: they idn't care about targets.
Once with an empty payload, they began firing off flares and chaff while accelerating away.

One of the bombers took a hit by a stinger, and was blown to pieces. Another took a glancing hit to the port engine.

However, the rest were able to get away at top-speed. That hadn't worked. What would?

"Calm down", another man said. "They have probably been mislead by the fascist government of this country. If we speak to their people, they will see that we are the true warriors of Marx, and maybe they will tear down their fascist government and join the Revolution".

The submarines fired off their missiles, bursting from their tops, before igniting at the surface.
Each missile carried a 2000lb cluster bomb: conventional this time. The missiles arched into the sky, before plummeting down at over mach 10. There owuld be no chance of interception.

The volcano squadron were back.
Onboard, they carried the most powerful weapon allocated to thier arsenal that was not nuclear.
They had asked if they could use the sweet, pure fire of the nuclear warhead, but had been denied. They would have to use the more crude fire.

The squadron of 10 flew at 40 000 feet. They would be quick in this run: they were only carrying 2 bombs each.

As they flew over the main island, each one let loose a huge cylidner, that tumbled downwards before deploying a parachute. As they reached optimum destruction height, the bombs sprayed out hundereds of litres of fuel droplets, which after five seconds ignited.

The shockwave buffeted the planes as they made their escape. They doubted there was anything on the surface now that was alive.

OOC: That will be perfect.

They were right in that nothing on the surface survived. 1000 AHC soldiers were instantly killed. But beneath the surface, where most of the AHC forces hid, revenge was planned. The cardinal transmitted one word: "Execute".

In the alfegian city of Il'vi, four groups of men walked in to four different shopping centres. They all had Uzis hidden under their clothes. They walked to a crowded store. Then they began to fire into the crowd.

Back at the AHC headquarters, the cardinal held up a rose to his nose.
"Optime olere occisum hostem"( "a dead enemy always smell good"). He smiled cooly. The Crusade had begun.

Agreed. Expect air and naval transport arriving from third direction. They will identify themselves as "Zolav and Freda Inc.". Alsdair is not to be mentioned.

Somewhere in the world:
The private airfield and docks of "Z&F inc." were quite busy. An AN124 transport plane was currently being loaded with large amount of farming equipment. As all the workers were amongst the loyalist of Z&F no one would find out that these tractors tended to have turrets sporting 155 or larger caliber guns.
The transport ships saw even more movement, as they were bieng loaded to the brim with containers marked, "AHX computer spare parts" or "Fin Vodka", some were even marked "Ilga Toys lmtd".
Not one of the workers seemed surprised that they convoy reeked of fuel, or that the toy containers had numerous boxes inside marked 7.62 AP or that the convoy was protected by hundreds of armed security officers.
They would, however, be surprised if they saw the AA batteries located on the ships, or the small flotylla of 5, old but still good, nuclear submarines sailing with it.

OOC: In the northern part of the country, where the NMA has their seat of power, it´s pretty cold and wet. Rains a lot.

IC: From the port in Cíthran, 10 Visby-class corvettes, 1 Kirov-class battlecruiser, 2 Iroquois-class destroyers and 4 Gotland-class submarines went out at sea. Their mission was to escort the Z&F inc. convoy to the safe port of Nakón-Chon and sink any government ships threatening it.

0359 hours.
All crew and personel were on-board the 5 transports, awaiting the hour, knowing that they were sailing into a conflict zone did not ease their minds, but it made them ready. All the containers were loaded, all the fuel and explosives made safe. All weapons stored. The first transport was ready, it only needed to know where to.
At 0400 hours a message came in over coded systems;
Sail for Port at Nakon-Chon. NMA escort to be met on-route. Identify code: "Group TRU-A12". Sail at once.
Confirmation was sent and recieved and the flotylla moved, followed bythe submerged submarines. At the same time elsewhere the AN124 took off and set course for it's own destination.
The die were cast.

0430 hours. 10 nautical miles from Cíthran, battle group TRU-A12.
On the Kirov-class battlecruiser NMAS Sledgehammer admiral Marius Stee looked out at the dark ocean. "Any contact with the convoy yet, Captain?, he asked without turning around. "No, sir", the man answered. "We should meet them within a couple of hours".
The admiral saw the corvette NMAS Bravery signal the "Everythings clear" message. On the other side of the battlecruiser, NMAS Vengeance was doing the same. No danger in sight. Just the dark, deep ocean.

0626 hours. North Of Zaheran.

Jan Ivankovich, captain of the Commonwealth Air Force in retirement stiffled a yawn before returning his full attention to his SU-25's radar. The ex-military, currently employed as a security officer in Z&F inc. was somewhat surprised to see that the corporation was in the possesion of a large number of aircraft withdrawn from service in the Commonwealths army. He ceased to be surprised after a year, he had flown more missions for the corporation in that time than he did for the Commonwealth during his entire service. However he found that long range flights as boring as ever.
Between him and his command of another 4 SU's was their VIP, the corporations Il-76 bearing the first of, possibly, many transports for the NMA in their conflict.
Not that he cared about it, only enough that he was being paid for "High Risk Duty" while here, that was enough.

All weariness vanished when he realised that his radar had found something other than his flight or the corporations fleet some distance behind him.

- 'Contacts on the radar! Donald, what do got?'

A seconds pause and the pilot of the transporter reported.

- 'Looks like a fleet, Jan, coming in from Zaheran.'

- 'Contact our ships. Notify them. I'll see what I can get.'

- 'Ta'jest.'

Donald turned off and and Jan fixed his comm to the wave-lenght pre arranged with the NMA. With luck it was their clients, If they failed on the aranged wave-length he would try open.
Red lights signalled that his squad mates confirmed his sighting and were ready to act. Clearing his throat Jan began;

- 'This is Jan Ivankovich of the Z&F inc. security service, identify yourselves.'

No tthat it would bring that to the target: 4 10 Mt MIRVs had soon aquired their target, and once over it would come screaming down at excess of mach 10, impacting onto the island chain and completely destroying it. There was now only half an hour till the warheads unleashed the pure white flames of nuclear immolation.

The cargo plane carrying the JSF's also landed at the NMA airspace, and a man in airforce garb walked out and supervised the extraction of the planes. This was 2nd Lt. Garber.

We do have missiles that destroys a specific building but leaves the surrounding buildings intact. They are a 3000lb " Earthquake Bomb" that is dropped vertically through the roof of the building and then tunnels through the buildings floors before exploding when the missile hits the foundations. This blows the foundations of the building away leaving the building unstable causing it to collapse vertically. This also causes no collateral damage to anyone around the building or its surrounding area. Is this what you want. 20 availiable and hundreds more being built now.

Marius got up from the chair where he had been sleeping for the last two hours. "Permission granted. Send them the code".

The island Chinoz, AHC HQ.
The warning from the alfegian government was heard by the AHC too. The cardinal felt worried. They were planning something. He waved to a soldier. "Get my personal helicopter ready to leave in five minutes".
Five minutes later the leadership of AHC was leaving Chinoz behind them. All the others were told to evacuate, but nearly all died when the when the MIRV:s struck. About 3,000 fishermen and villagers in the Archipelago were also killed. Five hours later the helicopter landed on a small pad on the little island Oraz in the Eastern Islands. As the cardinal stepped out, he swore revenge. Nearly all his army had been killed. The alfegians were to pay. Dearly.

At the NMA airport two men walked to 2nd Lt. Garber. The men saluted. "Good day sir", said the more senior of the men. "I`m sergeant Wolgang Teufel and this is private Julius Heinn. Follow me please".

The satellite gazed at the massive crater in the landscape through a near-infared camera. The strike had been sucessful: practically the entire archipelgio had been wiped out by the MIRV.

There was, however, the helicopters that had moved out. That was worrying. They had been unable to track them fully due to the microwave burst from the exploding MIRVs, but were searching slowly for it. Once they found them, they would end it with a quick strike of fighters.

The attack on Il'vi had raised concerns . About security. For the rest of the conflict, the borders of Alfegos would unpgrade immigration status up one level, to level1 for all non-allies: a strip search would be mandatory for anyone getting in.

The coast patrols were now upped, and guards could be seen everywhere. They wouldn't be hit easily this next time.

A man stood on a street corner. He was wearing a black denim jacket and jeans, emblazoned with a small fish. He was smoking a dog end that fizzled in the rain. He shrugged up his jacket, and took a look around. It was the right street at least. Mountain Street...

Noir nodded and gestured for them to lead on. Gerber just saluted back.

What the alfegians didn´t know was that AHC had agents in place, sleeper agents maintaining their cover as businessmen but ready to be activated on commando. As the cardinals messages reached them, small groups of men gathered, targetting public places such as cinemas, subways or busses, but also military installations. At his new HQ, the cardinal smiled. Revenge would be taken.

A door opened and a man looked out. He waved to the men. "Quickly, in here!"

The security system in Il'vi saw the people clustering in public places. Suspiciously.

Security guards calmly went up to the targets pointed to tehm from the central security hub, before tasering them and cuffing them, before stripping them of weapons. Co-ordinated.

Jan nodded, knowing fully well that such a gesture was wasted as he was seperated from the other man by miles, and switched off. He sighed and flexed his gloved hands, if things kept going as they were this run would be over in no time.

The cardinal swore. His agents hadn´t called in and no news of sabotage or terrorist deeds against the alfegians had reached him. He had to assume that they had been caught. They want to discuss something with you".

Four freighter left the port of Lima, labeled "humanitarian Aide" to the Zaheran conflict. Two were to arrive on the island of Keuked, and the other was going to the eastern marshes. Onbaord was a man known as Nicoli, as associate of Montana. The shipments were from a private company in the SUR region known as Montana Sugar, which were on loan to the SUR government to ship numerous humanitarian aide stuff to the conflict. they would arrive in approx two days....

The man spitted on the officers face. "I will tell you nothing, infidel swine".

That was it. The signal for the more extreme interrogation methods to take over.
He was a confirmed terrorist, and was subject to Article 23 Clause A - G of the terrorist act 2001.

The officers left, and an officer in a balaclava entered, carrying asuitcase.

"I'll give you one more chance."

It was a simply message from the Cnian government to the Zaheran people, the nation was unstable, it needed a proper government to support itself, it's people needed relief. The only was to break their constant struggling was simply, break down all the armed forces in Zaheran, once this step was done the people would file in line, and an effective system would be imposed.

A thousand C-130Js were prepped to launch the first strike of the war. One hundred thousand God's Chosen Angels (or Paratrooper Corps) would drop in the middle of AHC-held, Oraz. From there they would secure the ring of islands around the nation. But first Oraz had to be taken.

Along with the compliment of dropping aircraft, escorts were going to be supplied and provide initial cover. Twelve hundred F/A-18's would run in for the initial bombardment, the C-130Js would swoop in as the last bombs fell and drop their payload under the cover of darkness.

Finally. The satellite trawling had found the last bastion of the AHC.

Another bomber squadron was coming in: aptly named the Ultimatum squadron.

Each of the 20 birds was a modified B-52, filled with mixed ordinance.

As they passed over a death-infested sky, they released their payloads onto the enemy: conventional.

50 200lb bombs rolled out onto the enemy strongpoints. The bombers circled, and then released 40 800lb bunker-buster bombs onto the bunkers.

As they flew away from they smoking ruins, 5 small fighters beagn a large circuit of the island, to shoot down any escaping planes.

Persepolis, Parthia

The Shah let out a large sigh as he expelled the smoke from his Cohiba cigarette, "So how foolproof his this plan?" The buisnessman smirked, "completely, your government has plausible deniability, and can support the force it desires. If anything, it will be traced back to the Bijari Military Solutions Coporation, where the paper trail will end."

The Shah nodded, stomping out his cigarette in the ashtray. "Then let it be, you have my full authority. The NMA will be victorious."

With the deal sealed, the Bijari Corporation made out a single broadcast to the NMA short and to the point:

Meanwhile, twelve merchant vessels and four large vessels, which looked similar to oil tankers, pulled out of the port at Bandar-e Abbas, setting course out of the Persian Gulf and then to Zaheran. The captian of the 'merchant' armada, a former Parthian Navy Captian, Ardeshir Khordeshmani sat on the bridge of his lead vessel, the 'oil tanker' Bijari Petroleum #32, waiting with anxiety as he prepared for the operation, still many days away.

The terrorist laughted. "Do you think you can threat me with that suitcase? What´s you gonna do, hit me with it?

The bunker complex exploded, killing most of the AHC leadership. The cardinal crawled out of his command bunker, stronger built than the others. He laughted, now nearly totally insane."I´m still alive, infidel swines!", he shouted at the airplanes. "God has saved me!

The man took out of the case a syringe, and filled it with a yellow-coloured drug.

Two men then came in, and restrained the terrorist as the needle was pushed into his neck and the drug was emptied into a vein.

"Sodium Penthenol, truth serum: after 5 minutes, you will tell me everything."

The terrorist crushed a fake tooth filled with cyanide. He fell forward over the table and his breathing stopped. He was not yet dead, but soon he would be.

With a screech the Il-7 landed on it's designated airfield. It took a while for the gigantic transport plane to stop. During that time Jean Croix went through his papers once more. He wasn't sure whether to be pleased or bothered that he was designated by the company to act as a laison between Z&F and the NMA but he was here, and he would have to do his best. Simply his job was to simplify the task of recieving more requests from the NMA, unlike the other men in the cramped passenger compartment.
50 muscular men of various races in a motley collection of camo uniforms sat in silence or discussing something quitely. Merceneries, no, Military Advisors. At least thats what their contracts said, men hired to train the NMA in the usage of the equipment they were recieving. After why bother getting good weapons if you don't know how to use it?
These men, along with several BTR-80's, 5 SU-25's and nearly 40 tonnes of spare parts, ammo and other materials was the first transport from Z&F to reach the NMA.
A few hours later and several thousand tonnes of equipment reached their port of destination and began unloading.
At the same time the NMA navy was strengthened with 5 additional submarines and advisors ready to train new crewmembers.
The first transport mission from the Z&F was a success.

The Emperor sat comfortably on his throne, reading the latest reports from the battlefields of his own civil war. His personal assistant, Claudia zu Gernstein, stepped up to him, bowed, handed a sealed document with a Zaheran crest on it. "My Lord, we just received this." The Emperor broke the seal and read the document.

"Well. Tell them that I'm willing to support any faction who's at war with the AHC.", he said.

The man gestured to another, wearing roughly the same outfit and exact symbol. He dropped his cigarette and crushed it into the ground, then walked over. He nodded and looked around, his hand lying on the grip of his USP.

Above Zaheran, a UAV hovered above the WLA, taking pictures of enemy fortifications and outposts, which it relayed to Air Command. On board the carrier Kestrel, a group of F-35's took off, headed for the positions, each carrying a JDAM bomb. They were headed for the heaviest fortified place they could spot.

He opened the door."Follow me. They´re waiting for you".

IC: The men nodded and walked in. In better light, one was young, not more than 19, the other old and battle-hardened. The older one spoke.
"I'm Salmon. This is Trout. We're from the Fishes." He pointed at the small badge on his jacket.

"I´m Heinrich", the man answered. He pointed at a corridor. "This way please".

Salmon walked along calmly, but Trout was nervous. This was his first job and it was so important he didn't fail. He shook slightly, but still walked with Salmon.

Heinrich opened another door, this one leading to a conference room where four men where sitting around a table. They all looked up when the door opened. One of them, a man in his fifties with dark hair, raised from his chair and greeted the newcomers with a smile. "Welcome. You are from the Fishes, I suppose? I´m Günther Boden, General Secretary of WLA".

Salmon smiled back.
"Yeah. To business, then?" He began to pace.
"We can sabotage a planned heavy carpet bombing of your controlled areas, in return for equipment. We are low on guns, at the moment, you see. We can also feed you information."

"We can supply you with guns. What sort do you want? AK-47:s, M-16:s or Sa-58:s? Or do you want some heavier stuff?"

The man had fallen forwards, and it appeared he had commited suicide. Never mind. There were the others, and they would be questioned in a similar way. They noticed a tooth was missing: that must be the vessel for the poision.

The interrogator wasted no time in entering another cell and holding open the mans mouth with a pair of tongs, while another man extracted any false teeth with a pair of pliers. It would hurt the man, sure, but would be a good incentive to make him talk.

The smoking wreck of the AHC final stronghold was now the subject of a final search-and-destroy mission.

5 transport planes flew over, letting 100 commandos fly out ijto the sky, before they slowed with their parachutes. Once on the ground, the co-ordinates of the objectives were relayed to his palmtop: every military installation on the island.

10 squads had been deployed, and were now enroute to the first two objectives. They were all armed with AF-07 assault rifles, with sidearm and knife int heir belt. One memebr of each squad carried an ASW-06 machine gun, primed for action, while amongst each squad was distributed the parts for an AAT-04 missile launcher, in case there was any artilelry.

Above them still circled the fighters, ready to dive on any air-vehicles that took off, or lend air-support.

"Small arms, mainly Uzis, pistols, any concealable weapons, and particularly two charges of C-4 explosive. We need that to take out the cluster bombers."

The remaining AHC soldiers pulled back to the western part of the island. There they made their last stand while the cardinal escaped in a small motorboat. He waved at them. "You will be martyrs, my brothers", he shouted. Then he steered the boat towards the nearby island Medeva.

Günther thought about it. "Yeah, we could fix that. When do you want it delivered and where?".

The men advanced to where the aerial footage showed the cluster of men: the west of the isle. They silently moved in, beofre nailing them down with a hail of 7.62 mm rounds from the ASWs as the rest of teh squads crawled towards the troops, firing off volleys as they advanced.

The motorboat was picked up by the fighters.

"We have escapee, over. Intercepting"

1 fighter dived out of formation, and let loose a single Screaming-Oblivion ASM at the boat. It pulled up, and rejoined the formation.

The government is very interested in this bomb of yours, and wishes to purchase 10 untis for trials. Once trials have ended, we will ocnsider intergration into our current airforce.

Half of the men were killed. The rest decided that martyrdom was nothing for them and put their hands in the air.

The boat exploded and the cardinal flew into the cold water. He tried to swim, but his body refused to obey his commands, and so he sank into the dark, deep ocean. He could not believe that it would end like this. He was the Prophet of God. This just couldn´t happen.
Two days later a fisherman found a drowned man in his net.

There had been Alfegos casualties: 3 men had been stretchered off the battlefield, each covered in a thick blanket up over their heads.

The prisoners were searched, stripped of weapons, then escorted by armed men towards an incoming transport, where the men would be transported to a POW camp on the Alfegos mainland, where they would be interred until the war ended. While their, they would be forced to do ahrd labour to pay off for their cost of being kept in the country.

The battlegroup consists of 200 heavy destroyres, some 1,000 carriers with their lading craft, 100 aircraft carriers, 50,000 infantrymen, 4,000 tanks (2,000 as a gift from the Emperor to be used by your troops) and 500 checimal warfare experts. As soon as the civil war of our own is resolved, the Emperor will commit more resources to your war.

Outside in the Wulfenstein harbor, what looked like an innocent fishing boat was putting something that everyone thought was nets into the sea. In fact, it was sea-mines. The fishing boat belonged to a WLA sympathizer and the "fishermen" onboard were in fact WLA soldiers, trying to sabotage the incoming pro puritanian fleet. Others were preparing ambushes both inside and outside the city and some were even fitting Harpoon missiles into sea-facing houses. The government were to busy organizing the welcoming ceremony to notice and some government officials had been bribed to keep cops and soldiers out of certain areas. A nasty surprise was awaiting the pro puritanians...

"Send them to 135 Red Street, Karas, ASAP, but at the very most within two weeks."

The squadron eventually decided on the WLA controled city. The dropped the bombs in a arrowhead shape, then split up to avoid enemy interceptor retaliation. One, however, didn't.
"I got an engine malfunction! Damn incompetent ground crew!" The plane was trailing smoke and beginning to dive.
"I've gotta bail out, the bird's going down." The slammed the ejector button, the canopy blew open and he shot out, the parachute opened and he landed safely.

In the middle of enemy territory with no weapons.

The Alfegos forces had resolved this conflict partially by completely removing the AHC from the map.

A large transport carrying 400 men and prefabbed accomodation arrived at the island where the final AHC stand had been. They would establish a temporary base there, for their continual forward attacks. They had turned their attention now to the Worker's Liberation Alliance.

The land had been modified on the island, and a medium-sized air-strip had been erected and hanger been placed at the far end for accomodation of 10 Tactical Bombers. These were being currently refuelled, and armed with smart bombs, for use against the WLA if they didn't stand down.

They would have a different tactic this time.

A group of WLA soldiers saw the crashing plane and cheered. Then they decided to get to it and look for survivors.

The bombs hit the city and destroyed some houses and a power plant, removing the electricity from whole blocks. 50 soldiers and 300 civilians were killed.

Günther smiled. "Then we have an agreement. You sabotage that airstrike and we deliver the goods within two weeks".

The Mokan freighter of "humane aide" were now off the coast of Zaheran, a few random planes flew over, but since Mokastana wasn't fighting for anyone no one bothered to shoot them. Onboard were numerous medical supplies, food, water, cocaine, medicine, SCUD missiles, non-perishables, Guns, AT rounds, life preservers, instant medical center tents and instant booby traps.

Nicoli looked froward to meeting the new associates, to Montana, it didnt matter who won, as long as a coke trade could be made, that and the gun trade was pretty good to

advanced.

We will send them to you immediately. They will help you to destroy the remaining bunkers. They have been tested in combat on some of those bunkers and they worked successfully.

At Keüked, the Cartel was ready to recieve the goods. 100 cartel men were ready to help unload the ships. When it was unloaded it would be taken to various storing places, ready to be distributed to zaheranian citizens.

In the marshes, the Brotherhood was doing the same.

No reply had been received from the WLA. 1 hour after the deadline past, the ten planes flew off in formation, ready to release bombs strategically onto their airfields and air defences, to remove any air threat they had.

An unusual sight graced the sky. Purchased recently from Prevania was a Consul-class Missile Cruiser. This however, was not a boat.

The 800 metre-long airship slowly roared through the sky, its heavily-armoured carapace presented to the sky. It was armed for serious damage: behind the small control gondola were 4 rocket pods, each filled with 6 Sky-singer missiles.

Inside the massive envolope was stored over 50 000lbs of bombs, ready to be dropped on the WLA. They would stare into the sky and fear.

It slowly passed over the land, and within an hour would arrive over the WLA terrotory. There, it would commence bombing.

A WLA fighter aircraft patroling WLA airspace discovered the alfegian airplanes and warned the WLA Air Command. "Incoming bomber aircraft. Unknown origin. What do you want me to do?"
The answer was a simple: "Shoot them down".
"Roger".
The fighter fired four AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles at the incoming aircraft. At the same time, all WLA airbases was put on Red Alert. Within five minutes, 50 fighters were in the air. 100 more followed quickly. Five more planes made contact with the alfegian bombers. All fired four sidewinders at them.

The missiles flew towards the bombers, but then disappeared in a massive cloud of red flares, causing a massive anomoly on the RADAR in the area. They began ot release their bombs, firing them at GPS - set targets, before flying quickly out of the area.

Two took hits from the missiles however: one was blown in half, the other an engine fire, causing a dramatic dive to earth, ending with a massive explosion as the fuel blew the plane into unrecognisable pieces.

They hadn't realised their air-power was that powerful, for such a small faction.

As the bombers retreated, the massive airship loomed towards the enemy fighters. Soon, it would be accompanied by 30 Multi-role fighters to bring down the enemy airforce, but it would hoefully be able to hold its own.

Once within the 10 mile reccomended range of the Sky-singer missiles, it began firing: 4 missiles to start off with.

It was accompanied by a warning burst from one of the 4 gondola-mounted miniguns, armed with explosive ammunition.

Ground-based SAM:s began to fire at the airship. The WLA airforce quickly gathered around the it. 200 sidewinders were fired, along with about 400 Stinger and Patriot missiles. The WLA were good shots, having recieved much training defending against the government airforce. In the city, the emergency warnings shrieked. Soldiers manned Gatling guns mounted on the rooftops, while the civilians hid in the air-raid shelters.

The bombs did only minor damage, as most of the WLA airforce was already in the air.

The Freighter pulled into their respective ports, the large cranes that came standard on Mokan Freighters began unloading crates of supplies into the marshes and the island of Keuked...

Nicoli rode a crate onto the small island of Keuked, and walked up to the man who appeared to be in charge of the cartel here...

"It appears as if you bought 200 Kilos of Pura, 6,000 AK-74s, 1,000 RPG-7s, 1,000 Recioless rifles, 2,000 crates of Frag Grenades, 3 IronHeart APCs, 2 Hi-24 helicpters, 4 SCUDs and a partridge in a pear tree is that right? Your total is 280 million dollars, 10 million for the small arms and 270 for the APCs, Helos and missiles, which are 30 million a piece. "


In the marshes a similair trade off was taking place

The Skysinger missiles flew at the groups of planes circling like hornets, and exploded before impact, showering whole squadrons with bomblets.

Meanwhile, the gondola guns opened up, firing 100 rounds a second into the incoming fighters.

At the same time, the sky was lit with an amazing spectacle: the main ridges of the airship ignited in a red fire as the flares were launched, showering the sky all along the 800 m length of its body.

Some of the sidewinders got thorugh the defences and hit the sides of the ship: they exploded, most of them causing minimal damage to the dual-layered chobham-steel armoured envelope.

However, three caused damage: two massive explosions rocked the entire airship as cell sections 22 and 31 ignited, the volatile hydrogen exploding and showering the air with shards of steel.

The fire was quickly extinguished as the controls vented the cells of the hydrogen. However, the ship was now listing dangerously. It needed to get rid of its payload.

As the first destroyer sailed into the harbor, several mines went off tearing its hull and the interior quickly filled with water. The ship sank after 30 minutes, taking its crew with it. As soon as the missiles hit the 2 ships who were following the first one, their automated defenses took some down, but the majority of them hit, causing serious damage, their hulls barely remained intact, but they made it into the harbor. The other ships sent then sent out smaller boats to scout the area of mines and defuse them. After all that was done, the battle group's commander, Marshal Hermann Hinka was standing on his ship's deck, ready to go and greet the welcoming party. When the ship had docked, he and his generals went down to see the welcoming party.
"Quite a welcome, wouldn't you say?" He said to the man who he thought was the leader. "I trust that there will be more surprises here, yes? Lucky we came prepared with our phosgene gas, eh? The commies will surely love it."
Behind him the unloading had began, thousands after thousands of men were being unloaded from the ships. Hinka waited for the man to reply.

The man smiled. "Nice to meet you, Nicoli. I´m Davel Sonos". He gestured to a group of men carrying bags. "Here´s your money", he said, handing them over. It was ten bags, each one containing 28 million dollars(35,6 million Baadors).

In the marshes, the meeting was going exactly the same.

OOC: Waffle Warriors, no thank you. Read the "stickys" at the top of the board.

The government official leading the welcoming ceremony panicked as he heard Hinkas statement. "Find them, quickly", he screamed in a voice near falsetto. All over the city, soldiers kicked in doors and searched for communist. Several citizens were killed as the situation escalated, eventually turning to a city-wide riot. The communists themselves however, retreated calmly to their gathering points outside the city.

The airship soon began to offload its cargo: the winds had drifted it surprisingly far over an enemy city. It would do for now.

The payload doors opened and 200 x 250lb bombs dropped out of the payload, all falling downwrads onto the city, flattening a massive swathe.

In the gondola, the pilot yelled an order, and the crew began to strap everything down. With the ballast of bombs gone, the airship began to rise in height, first slowly but then very quickly, reaching a height of 45 000 feet before slowing down. The gondola had been pressurised, so there was no pressure problems.

The guns recommenced their firing: they would soon run out of ammo, and then they would be stuffed. Soon though, the interceptors would arrive.

The bombs killed nearly 3,000 civilians as their basements collapsed over them. The soldiers on the rooftops continued to fire, but to no avail.

Hinka spoke to the man in charge of the ceremony. "Well, since that's all done, you might want to check out the tanks we're giving? They're the result of the finest engineering in the whole Empire!"

The government official was now in a total state and just stared at the commander. A military officer waved to some of his men to take the man away. "I take over now. Yes, I would very much like to see them".

The armour was dented, and there was a suspected fire in cell sectors 32 through to 39: a large swath of the rear. It was unknown, as the explosion had possibly taken out the fire sensors.

Someone had to risk it.

Ilo'soi, the ship engineer, ran up a gantry and sped along to the aft of the airship, wearing a pressuriesd suit. It was very cold in there, and he had only 10 minutes before frostbite started, so would have to make the most of it.

The plastic gantry stretched thorugh the entire centre of the ship, between hundred of massive hydrogen cells. It was light, obviuosly the fire ahead. He pulled up the extinguisher, and cooled off the screeching frame.

He then manually vented the cells, to remove the fire. The remaining cells were warmed up by two electric heaters, to try and preserve buoyancy.

While he was at it, he walked along the unstable gantry and climbed down a ladder, entering the engine room. Most of it was missing, a large engine having overloaded. It was a wonder theat it hadn't set the rest of the ship on fire.

He started up the remaining engine, and aimed it so that the ship was turning round. Once it had turned, the men in the gondola would shut it off, and use the front gondola auxillary thruster to move it against the headwind back to the airbase.

One young and unexperienced WLA pilot lost control over his aircraft for a couple of seconds. When he looked up from the controls he was less than ten meters from the airship, and heading towards it. Panicking, he ejected from the plane.

The pilot tried to hide in the rubble of a destroyed building as soldiers came towards him.

Salmon nodded.
"Most agreeable. But we need that C4 to take out the airstrike. We will take our leave now?" He stood up and began to walk over to the door, Trout following behind.

"Of course", Günther replied. "Heinrich will follow you to the door".

One of the soldiers thought he saw moment. He walked closer.

Salmon and Trout walked out and a black SUV pulled up. The door opened, they stepped in and the car sped off.

The pilot waited, then weighed up the odds. If he was caught, he'd be tortured then killed. If he wasn't he'd be killed anyway. One option really. He waited until the soldier came right near him, the kicked his legs out and smashed his head into a chunk of destroyed building, then darted back into it, trying to evade the enemies.

The fighter hit the rear of the airship, shearing off the sterring fins and blowing a hole thorugh the armour.

The whole ship lurched, having lost all the gas from the rear of airship, and then began to tilt towards the ground, the weak rear section finally falling off and tumbling to the ground, wrapped with flames.

The engineer ran down to the forward gondola, and then felt the gantry below him collapse as the rear dropped off.

He fell screaming from 50 000 ft towards the city, screaming all the way.

The men onbaord were trying to regain stability, but with the rear fins off, the ship was starting to roll dangerously to the right. They started shifting the hydorgen around, but to no avail. The ship was losing altitude.

The 3 squadrons of Multirole fighters screeched in over the hulk of the wounded airship, and dived onto the fighters. They loosed volley after volley of missiles and bullets, raining death onto all around them.

Behind them came a small unarmoured 150 m tender airship. As it came in range of the other airship, a harpoon fired off the rear of the ship, sticking into the armoured side.

The ship then turned around and began to move towards the airbase, where a crew of engineers were coming in to repair the wounded ship.

"There", one of the soldiers shouted. They ran against the enemy.

30 fighters were killed directly. The others roared upwards, trying to escape the rain of death the enemy was shooting against them. 20 fighters from the farthest airfield arrived just in time to take the Multiroles in the back. 80 sidewinders flew against the enemy. The ground-based SAM.s and gatlings now fired at the enemy airplanes.

The planes whirled: they had more of a chance of dodging the many misile raining on them. It wouldn't be enough though: 13 fighters had been shot down or blown to pieces.

They would need more help.

They flew back, leading the fighters away from the retreating airships.

The aircraft carrier Typhoon launched 40 Multirole fighters to support the Alfegosian fighters. They would take 15 minutes ot reach the combat, and then hell would break loose.

500 miles North of Zaheran

Abruptly, the armada made a hard turn to the south, turning in a single synchronized motion towards NWA held territory. At his behest, Captian Khordeshmani gave the signal, turning on air seach radars, lighting up the sky to seach for enemy planes or vessels. Canvas covers were torn off the decks of the 'oil tankers' revealing hundreds of individual vertical tubes, pointed skywards, while the container vessels revealed hidden surface to air missile batteries.

With the preparation complete, the vessels moved southwards, kicking up speed, hoping that their presence would go unnoticed by the Zaherani government or their supporters.

Soon, Captian Khorseshmani knew, the mission would be complete, but until then, something had to be done, he only hoped it would come soon.

950 Miles east of Zaheran

It would be the only part the Parthian government would directly play, a direct assault on the largest city of Zaheran, but done to ensure plausible deniability still existed.

It was an extensively secret operation, even the crews were unaware of taking part in anything more than a weapons testing exercise. Only a few higher officers knew of the real target of the weapons as the six ballistic missile submarines moved into position and in unison, began to open their SLBM doors, each sub releasing each of their 24 ballistic missiles, pre-programmed to hit the largest city of government controlled Zaheran. Each of the missiles carried 750 kilograms of ONC explosive, multiple times stronger than traditional C4 or semtex, each of the conventional warheads were targetted towards buildings considered 'high casualty,' office buildings, government offices, schools, and port or airport facilities.

144 missiles were away, entering the edge of the atmosphere, soon, they would rain death down on the Zaherani government. All that was necessary now was to submerge further, and to set a course directly north.

A ground-radar detected the incoming Multiroles. The warning got out to WLA Air Command, who warned the fighters. "We got more of them incoming. Seems like it´s about forty of them". SAM:s and anti-aircraft guns aimed at the place they would be coming from. All waited.


The ballistic missiles hit the government capital Nakón-Xan. The government building took a direct hit. Most of the government died, including the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Economics and the vice-president. Luckily enough the president was out of town that day, inspecting the military forces.
The newly rebuildt parliament building was also destroyed and nearly whole the newly elected Parliament were killed. The missiles also hit 20 schools, all the three airports and countless offices and homes.
200,000 people died that day, most of them civilians and many of them women and children. Nearly whole the political leadership was exterminated.
Many more died because of the destroyed infrastructure, which hindered the rescue teams who searched for survivors.

Greal Naval fleet, 300 miles north of Zaheran

The Greal naval fleet had been stationed there for days, but after hearing about the declaration of war, the fleet quickly moved.

Hinka took the military man into one of his gargo ships, pulled the cover off one the tanks and said "Well, what do you think? These babies are fitted with anti-missile defenses, the latest computer navigation systems, anti-infantry, anti-armor and ofcourse, shells filled with phosgene. They have 3 MGs, one on the turret, one on the front and one in the back. The MGs use explosive bullets and the rate of fire is 500 rounds per minute. The cannon is 130mm."

The man smiled."Excellent. Now the rebels is going to get a real hard beating".

Nakón-Hel

Greal transports dropped off 170,000 men plus 2000 Nakil tanks, fighters patroled the area for any rebels.

The missiles hit the NMA forts Cíthran, Darran, Veíran and Zenran. 2500 soldiers were killed. The NMA leadership was very surprised when they heard that the forts had been hit with what seemed to be cruise missiles launched from the sea. The only available explanation was that the government were receiving help from a new ally. It was later confirmed by a coast observation post that what seemed like an grealian fleet had passed by, heading for the west coast. The Sea Command suspected that they might have gone to the port in Nakón-Hel.

The missiles hit the NMA forts Cíthran, Darran, Veíran and Zenran. 2500 soldiers were killed. The Greal Satelites watched the explosions in the rebel held area. The satelite confirmed that the missiles hit their mark, but the satleite still had to watch the rebels, make sure they don't send a army to Nakon-Hel. The Greal army at Nakon-Hel had doubled to 350,000 already.

The NMA leadership gathered. The 35-year old General Dieter Antonn was the first to speak. His face was covered with a black leather mask, hiding the scars from grenade shrapnel he had got when he was 19. It made his voice sound harsh and cold. "So, the grealians are helping the weaklings. What shall we do about it?" It was quiet for a couple of minutes, until Admiral Vishinas Vendei said: "Well, we have the Project-X station". They all thought about it. Yes, they had the Project-X, but were they ready to reveal their new secret weapon? They eventually decided to test it. An order went out, and ten minutes later, at a glacier in the Cold Sisters, 40 Kh-35 missiles were fired from a secret military base against Nakón-Hel.

The fighters wheeled around, launching their remaining missiles and then raking the enemy with machine-gun fire.

They would soon defeat the enemy.

The airship slowly floated down, venting its hydrogen into the ground fuel tanks.
Once on the ground, technicians,over 200 of them, raced across the flat field accompanied by vehicles bearing massive pieces of platic, steel and plastic film.

They beagn to repair the ship, so that within two days it would be battleworthy. It would be much more useful on ground attacks than bombers, and cheaper.

Massive struts were inserted into the ship, and flashes as joiners began to mend the internal structure filled the ship.

Once they were finished in putting a prefabbed skeleton onto the rear of the ship and joining it, the gas cells were linked up. Soon, it would be finished.

10 more fighters were destroyed, but the rest fired their remaining sidewinders at the enemy and then dived, exposing the enemy to SAM:s and gatling guns.

The planesw were hit with the SAMs: 5 were shot down. The survirors flew back towards the carrier.

They would have ot think up something else.

5 hours later, the airfield Alfegos was holding on the former AHC final stronghold was illuminated by hundred of floodlights as the airship was nearing complete repair.

The plastic film was heat sealed, then clamped down onto the frame, slowly tapering to the end of the ship.

Already at the first fixes, metal plating was being extended down the length of the ship, as the gas cells were filled with hydrogen and tested for leaks.

This was the armour of the airship: 10 mm advanced-steel alloy, with an internal plastic framework to support it and to conduct heat away from the plate hit by missiles.

The engine gondola was also being worked on: completely prefabbed, the unit containing 8 Turboprop engines was being riveted and sealed onto the explosed exoskeleton. It was also being fitted with an automated chaff system to stop any missiles from hitting it and damaging it again.

Similtaneously, the ground crew were reloaded the 4 missile pods: this time with a total of 64 AMRAAM VI missiles. The internal bay was also being filled with missiles for taking out planes and ground targets alike: in total, 400 screaming-oblivion LD/Smart missiles for use against the damaged ground forces.

At the same time as this, under the darkness of night, 5 stealth fighters were flying through the sky: each was a SP-F 3, with an internal payload loaded with 2 AMRAAM missiles and 4 250lb bombs. They would take them with their guard down, and stealthily destroy the planes on the ground.

On radar, what looked like a small group of birds flew over the airfields of teh WLA, dropping the precision bombs onto their targets.

Off the Coast of North Zaheran

The container vessels came to an abrupt stop off the coast of NMA controlled territory, letting the vessels coast to a halt. As the screws held position in the water and anchors dropped, the holds opened up, revealing dozens of large hovercrafts which were dropped into the water. The first to arrive were the 333rd Armored Regiment, 150 M29 MBTs crewed by Parthian soldiers, designed to provide armored support for the NMA rebels, followed by containers holding IFVs designed for use by the NMA. Crates of ammunition joined them, before 120 disassembled F-79s and their Parthian pilots were moved onshore.

The final shipment contained 15 Eurocopters to be given to the NMA, along with a complement of anti-tank missiles and chemical rockets.

With the equipment moved on shore, Colonel Bahram Shirazi waited for the NMA to come accept the shipment and provide further information on needs the Bijari coproration could fullfil.

50 planes were destroyed on the ground. Now the WLA airforce was badly damaged.

A car arrived with General Lucifer Teufel. He walked to the colonel. "Greetings. You are from Bijari, right? And this is the shipment we were promised?

Through the light of dawn the next day droned the noise of the Missile-Aircruiser.

Overnight, it had been repaired, and now bore its armour again. 200 more men had had to been taken off other duties to finish it, but in the rush the ship had been completed.

Onboard, a new crew were ready to dish out havoc. This time, they would soon have support. As it cruised over the capital again, the onboard cameras picked out the spots sighted on GPS to have AA emplcaements or other significant concern.

Over the airraid sirens, the screams as missiles started to pour from the armoured body pierced.

Closing in on the border of the WLA territory were 50 cargo jets. Each was loaded with a squad of ten men. These were C and D company of the 1 st Paratrooper batallion.

Each had his weapon ready, and were going thorugh equipment checks, or just sitting silent, chewing caffenine tablets.

The plane lights turned amber, and the soldiers clipped themselves to the rail on the ceiling. Then green.

The men lept from the rear of the planes, speeding up till they were slowed by their black parachutes, nearly invisible in the dawn.

Once they landed, the squads quickly regrouped and marched on their objectives. They would be taking the area quickly, so that the 3 batallions enroute via ship would be able to advance into the territory.

The many container ships and troop transports had reached friendly ports, and were as of now unloading munitions and vehicles. Within an hour, battlegroup Alpha would arrive at the border, followed by Beta and Gamma.

In each battlegroup was 12500 troops, all ready to bring destruction to the enemy.

The WLA was taken completely by surprise. The missiles destroyed many important buildings. But, due to it being so early in the morning, only 100 people were killed.

A newly awakened WLA patrol stumbled through the forest in the area where the paratroopers had landed. None of the men were aware of the fact that they actually were just twohundred meters from the alfegians.

The Colonel nodded, "Yes, we are. Our backers have granted us use of some 150 MBTs for support work, as well as 120 aircraft to bolster your forces. We've provided the rest of the equipment to you for your use, mostly ammunition, but some helicopters and armored vehicles, as well as small arms."

"If possible, we would like to regularize these shipments, but, we need an airfield capable of handling a large number, as well as a port to take heavier armored vehicles to help turn the war in your favor."

The airship continued rainging missiles on the city, before dropping lower to
10 000 feet.
From here, it started strafing the city with explosvie rounds from the miniguns, causing row after row of explosions over any military presence in the city.
Satisfied, it turned the guns to strafing the governmental headquarters.

The paratroopers were silent in their movement through the forest, as they took down enemy patrols with knives and silenced rifles. They cleared a corridor of about 500 metres wide and 1000 metres long, to where the rapidly moving army would arrive.

"Perfect. As for the airfield, we have a big one just outside Bethran. It should fit your purposes more than well. About the port, what about the one in Nakón-Chon? It has large capacity, even more than you´ll need actually".

Nearly all military present in the city was eradicated. The governmental HQ was destroyed, but the government was out of town.

The WLA never got any warning about the paratroopers. All patrols in the area had been killed.

The first wave of the Alfegos Alpha battlegroup broke: 20 IFVs, supported by an MGS and 10 LY4 MBTs. These roared into the area, and started to move towards the capital, bulldozing all opposition.

The airship floated away, to reload and recommence attacks.

The WLA forces pulled back, abandoning the capital. A couple of kilometers behind it they had their own little Siegfried-line, built for the event of a disaster like this.

The WLA State News pumped out propaganda. The anchorman was dressed in camouflage clothing and held an AK-47 in his hands. "Today, forces from the fascist state of Alfegos invaded our peaceful country. The fascist government has refused to stop them. But fear not, for the glorious Workers Liberation Army is striking back against the fascists. We have stopped them right on the borders and they are dying in their thousands".

To Alfregos:

The Colstream Air Force could drop supplies to you if you want to your Paratroopers. We need some data on those rockets we sold you in actual battle before we sell you any more. We could also drop some ammunition as well so you are fully supplied.

To Zaheran: The Colstream Government is willing to give you 1 million pounds in gold to finance your Armed Forces. We will send this to you immediately if you want it to bolster your gold reserves.

Satellite saw the troops moving out of the capital, and command orderd a cruise missile strike on key AA points.

The missiles were laucnhed from teh airfield, and each was a Sledgehammer, armed with a 400 kg HE warhead.

The fighting on the border suddenly escalated as the main wave hit the small rebel state. The main wave of 500 IFVs with numerous MBTs, MGSs and LBTs stormed thorugh the countryside, not caring about the enemy they left behind.

Ahead of them was the capital, which would be taken before the greatest battle the Alfegosians would make against the WLA.

The airship was returning to attack the defensive line. Onboard the ship was carrying 2000 tonnes of bombs, to demolsih a large part of the line for the troops to breakthorugh.

All the weapons pods were fitted: 4 pods filled with Direct hit AAM missiles, and two filled with Sidewinders. It was ready to fight.

The downed pilot stalked along, but then...
"Hands up!" He turned around slowly and raised his hands. There was an armed soldier behind him. Ah well, even if he died, he took a commie with him.

The Sledgehammers did little damage, as the main WLA forces were hidden in bomb-proof bunkers buried 50 meters under the ground. But they did destroy some barbed-wire defences, and they also destroyed many mines, making the alfegian assault easier.

As the airship approached, hundreds of SAM:s fired at it. The WLA was especially good at air-defence and they wouldn´t give up without a fight.

What was left of the WLA Airforce attacked the IFV:s, firing RBS15 missiles at them. Then they dived and used the Vulcan guns at the enemy.

The door was opened, and the man shown to a small room. The only furniture was a table and two chairs. George Claxton was sitting in one of these, a bible on the table in front of him. "Please, sit down." He said as the bishop entered. "We have much to discuss."

The pilot smiled and gestured to his jacket. There was a grenade hooked onto it, missing its pin. He ran forward and grabbed the man.
"Communist dog."

Desturction? The crew of the ship wouldn't take it.

As the SAMs flew at the ship, each one was subject to numerous decoys, diverting their courses quickly and simply. Any ones coming closer were this time subjected to a jammer signal that hummed from the airship.

It slowly drifted over the line, turned, and began raining bombs onto the defensive line, launching the occasional decoy at any missile that came near it. This time, it was mopre controlled, as it only had to deal with air attacks.

The planes were detected on the command control hubs and action was taken: IFVs moved to hide insde the woodland cover, and Strykers mounted wth the LY220 Shepherd began lauching missiles at the incoming craft.

From laucnchers in the artillery ranks slowly gainging range on the line, 8 special laucnhers began to fire massive Sky SInger missiles, each armed with a 6 MIRV warhead for taking the planes out quickly and effectivly.

The Bishop sat down. "We have much to discuss indeed. Now, where shall we start?"

The man was startled. "What the hell are you doing!", he screamed.

30 planes were shot down. The survivors turned and fled.

The bombs hit the defences, but didn´t do much harm. The WLA defences were well built and some of the bunkers could even withstand a nuclear bomb if necessary.

Once the surface had been demolished, the second row of bombs began to fall: 10 1000 lb Bunker-buster bombs, each accelerated and designed with a special streamline and explosive system, to penetrate bunkers up to 50 metres in depth.

Alpha force soon entered the city, and found it deserted. The forward command took up in the eeriely perforated government building, and the infantry took up defensive position around the city.

Meanwhile, the artillery locked to the ground, and began firing shells and missiles over a 2 mile area that would be demolished to make way for the Alfegos advance.

The soldier laughed.
"Guess."
The grenade exploded, throwing pieces of shrapnel and flesh around.

Some holes were torn in the bunker roofs, but for most part the men inside took no harm.

Outside the city, two men were watching the government building with binoculars. "Okay", one of the men said, "they´re in. Trigger the explosives". In the government building´s cellar, two tons of TNT exploded.

The soldier died directly, and so did two of his comrades. Two others were wounded.

two Mokan spy planes flew past the island, trying to get an idea of the carnage...

"Alfegos Command, this is Mokan Flight 177charlie roger, The Confederacy is willing to assist you, what is the situation over?"

"We are currently engaging the WLA. We have made headway and taken thier capital, but they have retreated to heavy fortifications."

Suddenly, an explosion cut out the comms. The explosives had ripped the building to pieces.

Luckily, the commanders were still in among the troops, but many of the comms officers died or were wounded. For now, they would have to rely on direct radio, instead of the usual battlefield augmented network.

The bunkers were still intact. Damn. Time for a new tactic.

The final row of bombs dropped: 10 earthquake bombs. As each exploded underground, the earth was rocked by a Richter 5.0 earthquake. As the dust settled, the airship finished the rounds it had on board by firing all the explosive minigun rounds into the bunker, each exploding on impact and covering the area from the capital to the defensive line.

the two Mokan planes raced to the locaiton of the last received message, taking pictures and IR scans of the field, Radar images showed how bloody the island nation had become, it was time to call it support

The airship slowly passed to the rear of the battlelines, where a temporary pylon had been set up for the airship to sink down for reloading.

This time, it would be filled to the brim with bunker busters, so that the bunker comlex could be blown back to the stone age.

The conflict in the south was used by the Z&F to transport further gear for the NMA. Tens of thousands of tonnes were flown and sailed in.
SU-27 Interceptors, Su-25 Tactical Bombers, Mig-29 fighters, Mil Mi-24 helicopters, Mig-25 Reconassaince/tactical bombers, T-72 and T-80 MBT's, BTR-80 amphibious APC's, PT-76 Amphibious tanks, ZSU-23-4 self propelled AA guns, S-75 air defence and 5 Nuclear Submarines.
As well as several thousand RPG-7's, AKM's, Dragunov rifles, PASGT armor and all the spare parts and ammunition needed for several years of conflict.

Equipment on it's own was nice but without a crew who knew how to use them most were of little use, thats why the company also hired nearly 500 advisors tasked with training the soldiers of the NMA army in the usage of their equipment as well as training units that would be capable of Special operations.

All this was well and good but for one thing, the foriegners acting on part of the Republic. What was soppused to turn into a prolonged conflict between the Republic, WLA and the AHC was quickly resolved in the Republics favor by Alfegos intervention.

The matter was brought up by the advisors with NMA command, something had to be done to force Alfegos out of the conflict, somehow discredit them in the eyes of the civilian population of Zeharen. The of option of a quick strike south while the republic was still recoiling after the resent strike and destruction of it's government was also suggested.

The Consul-class airship was soon readied for the mass bombing of the WLA, so that the bunkers would be flattened.

It lifted up as the Hyrdogen was pumped in from the 5 trucks on the ground, and then turned round as it began to come over to blast the living daylights out of the WLA.

he radioed back to a California AF base, There four Valkyrie bombers loaded with 5000lbs Bunker busters flew to the war torn Island. Meanwhile The first Mokan Fleet was being assembled to dispatch to the island. The Confederate Council had voted to assist the republic. Meanwhile 5,000 paratroopers were flying ahead of the fleet to deploy ahead of the fleet, Primary goal was to have a dock to unload the tanks and IFVs. they were escorted by Tupolev Tu-22M Backfires. These men were the best, first in, first out, was their unofficial motto. they were ready, as long as the Alfegos troops could provide a warm welcome

MOst of the troops who were not on guard duty were erecting more permanent defences, as well as setting up a refuelling and loading base for the airship.

The airship was one of their most potent airborne weapons, and would continue to be, delivering thousnads of tons of muntions directly into the enemy bunkers.

"Afegos Command this is Valkyrie, where do you want the pain dropped over."

The flight had arrived a bit earlier then scheduled, and behind them by two hours were the 43th Airborne...

"this is the 43th Airborne, do you have an airstrip to unload tanks IFVs and the works, we need to secure the rest of the Mokan army's arrival"

"I would like to start by asking why an army that professes to follow the Christ slaughters innocents and commits acts of murder in God's name. Please, enlighten me."

The Valkyries screamed to the battlefield. Dropping a total of 16 5000 lbs bombs onto the enemy forces, destroying any major defenses they had. It took over a mile to turn around but soon they were on thier way back to Mokastana for refueling and reloading. Meanwhile the paratroopers were to be unloaded at the airbase rather then dropped straight into the fire fight. This way assured that their equipment wouldn't be damaged like they might be in a drop. About two hours behind the paratroopers was a fleet of loaded with a Ironheart Brigade to support them. The actual division would arrive later that night via boat, and be unloaded and battle ready by the next morning...

The NMA leadership gathered. The 35-year old General Dieter Antonn was the first to speak. His face was covered with a black leather mask, hiding the scars from grenade shrapnel he had got when he was 19. It made his voice sound harsh and cold. "So, the grealians are helping the weaklings. What shall we do about it?" It was quiet for a couple of minutes, until Admiral Vishinas Vendei said: "Well, we have the Project-X station". They all thought about it. Yes, they had the Project-X, but were they ready to reveal their new secret weapon? They eventually decided to test it. An order went out, and ten minutes later, at a glacier in the Cold Sisters, 40 Kh-35 missiles were fired from a secret military base against Nakón-Hel.

The Greal missile defense system knocked down 25 of the missiles, the rest blasted Greal camps killing 2000 troops, the Greal navy fired 100 more cruise missiles at the NMA.

Most of the bunker system was destroyed, but still most of the soldiers were unharmed.

The Greal army began its march to a area near the rebels, fighters went ahead of them to make sure there were no rebels. Nakil tanks went ahead of the Greal army also.

The man smiled."Excellent. Now the rebels is going to get a real hard beating".
Hinka grinned as the Imperial troops began their march through the city. A few communist ambushes had been set up, but Hinka's men made quick work of them, the total loss of the imperial troops was 44 men and 0 tanks during their march to the border of the communist controlled territory. Hinka talked to his aircorce: "I want every living being dead in a 1000 square miles radius, be it civilans or communists. Any civilian casualties are acceptalbe in the name of the Emperor, our God!", when he had said those words thousands of bombers along with their escorts took off from the aircraft carriers. The bombers were equipped with shells filled with phosgene gas and plutonium. The firts bombers released their bombs above the communist positions during the night....

"The Apocalypse is closing and all non-believers must be cleared away before our Lord returns. It´s not a mission in which we take pleasure, but it must be done".

The grealian missiles killed 4,000 more NMA soldiers.

One effect of the presence of so many foreign troops was that many nationalistic zaheranian (government) soldiers began to think of it as an foreign invasion. Many leaved their units and joined the WLA instead. In that way, the WLA ranks were swollen by about 200,000 men in two days and more were on their way. Many also joined the NMA and even the AHC.

The gas and the bombs killed nearly 20,000 men. The rest readied themselves for the upcoming battle.

At the alfegian HQ, a man clad in the uniform of the governmental forces arrived in a car. "Can I speak to the commander please?", he asked the guards. "It´s important".

The NMA decided that they would try to strike south while everyones attention were on the conflict with the WLA. NMA agents clad in alfegian uniforms burned villages and killed farmers in the southern part of the country, further strengthening the rebels.

The advisors, true to their contracts, presented their opinions on how to cunduct the operation. It could be simply split into the following points;

1: Continue the media campaign, spread rumors in the south of the republic becoming nothing more than a lapdog for foriegners, the NMA's only goal, of-course, was to rescue Zaheran from foriegn influence.
2: Airstrikes aimed at enemy airfields to secure air domination.
3: The majority of MBT's, seeing as the fast moving but not as heavily armored as western MBT's should be used in the open plains of the west to sorround enemy forces in swift manuveurs leaving the actual destruction of such units to infantry, Mi-24's and Mig-25's. The MBT's should always have some form of AA cover.
4: The Amphibious vehicles would be best used in the east where the entire area seems to be nothing but rivers and swamps, after the unavoidable(?) destruction of bridges the amphibious quilaties will be at the highest.
5: Avoid urban warfare if possible. Even small forces can effectivly hold a city and destroying civilian property will not look good on the propaganda front. The exception would be to safeguard lines of communication and seats of republican power.
6: We have spent time and money training Special forces, don't be afraid to use them, but don't waste them either. Continue cunducting the misinformation campaign with them, cunduct assasinations and destroy key objectives that would take too long or to many lives by conventional means. Thee are the jobs they were trained for.

All this being said the advisors could do no more, they were only advisors. Though they could, technicly, cunduct active support for the NMA it would not fit in well with their "No Foriegners" policy.

The media campaign would continue of course, seeing how effective it was in reducing the governments popularity. It was also decided that the NMA would try to take the eastern part of the country while the majority of the governmental and foreign forces were occupied with defeating the WLA in the west. The plan was rather simply. The NMA Airforce would destroy all airfields in the eastern part of the country, thus weakening both the government and the foreign forces, which would be forced to operate from bases farther away. An amphibious assault on Badaran would deny the government it´s only good port in the eastern part of the country. Then a fast land assault would cut off the governmental forces from help and supplies, hopefully forcing them to capitulate. The morale in the governmental forces now was so low that a serious blow could cause them to fall apart completely.

The advisors decided that the plan was sound and that the NMA army was trained well enough to cunduct such an operation. They had nothing more to suggest untill the operation actually began.

The imperial bombers continued their airstrikes against airfields, industry, infrastructure and fortifications. In one week more bombs were dropped into the communist territory than in WW2 and the Vietnam War combined. After the airstrikes had stopped, thousands of soldiers charged into the enemy's territory...

They were met with the determined fire of men fighting for the country they loved. Although the bombs had killed thousands, many more were still alive. They fighted with cold fury, never giving up.

The Greal army conducted a massive bombing campigan against the NMA, Shark figghters escorted DMG made bombers into the NMA rebel area, and blasted pretty much everything with missiles and bombs.

NMA Held Territory, North Zaheran

150 Parthian-made F-79 interceptors, designed to be flown by Parthian 'advisors' were tasked with a single mission, secure airspace of North Zaheran from Grealean aircraft. The first step, however, would need to be fast. Taking off from the airfield, they set up a patrol around NMA airspace, hunting for Grealite aircraft, while using their stealthy signature to remain out of radar contact. Once they had contact, the objective was simple, they fired a combination of 150 HAMRAAM medium range AAMs at the Grealites, hoping to destroy them for their arrogancy.

Meanwhile, Parthian aircraft from the Bijari Coporation main warehousing facility in Southern Parthia flew in a massive aereal convoy, swooping down low as they approached Zaheran to fly below radar. Over the main runway set up to recieve military goods for the NMA, the Parthian transport aircraft landed, setting down a number of Main battle tanks, IFVs, artillery, SAM batteries, and ammunition. All in all, 500 planes were to drop 150 MBTs, 350 IFVs, 75 pieces of artillery, and 50 SAM batteries.

Behind the transport aircraft, 250 Parthian pilots guided 250 F/A-91 fighter bombers to the runway, setting them down; a gift to the NMA to help further secure their airspace from foreigners.

There was barely a noise as, using lepord crawl movement in an extended line formation, 5 paratrooper squads crept under the cover of darkness. These were the forward attack, to take down communications and breal a hole in the line for the attack.

OOC: How do the population in distant village know how Mokan uniforms look like? The rebels just make something that looks like Mokan uniforms, kill the people of some village and then say the Mokans did it.

The Mi-24s had their first orders, deliver medicine and food to the local villages. The Apanches took off first, leading as an escort for the flying tanks, the helicopters scouted for camps and villages. when they came across one a Hind would find a landing spot, three soldiers would get out, and began unloading food and supplies, the Sargent would usually go out to meet the village leaders, inform them that the Mokan troops are friendly and that Mokan troops will not come to villages to ransack or steal food. if anyone does, well lets just say that some villages, if they wanted were given guns with the orders to defend thierner village... rumor had it that the rebels were trying to disguise themselves as foreign aide to remove the trust from the public, so the Mokans armed the public, telling themselves to beware of anyone

Everything could be seen as usual, even when a potentiol enemy lurked a few dozen miles away garrison troops tended to fall into a routine, even more so if their officers found it ever harder to kee discipline alive due to active propaganda.
As such the team found it easy to establish themselves nearby the communication center.

The officer frowned, when did his soldiers begin to pick Alsdarian? He'd have to adress the matter in the future with his superiors.

Though maybe not. Those "Commonwealthers" knew how to make soldiers. He turned to his men, all in balaclavas, "Swamp-Man" camo and nocto-visors. Alsdair made AKSU's. They looked at him expectantly, there was only one thing he could say;

The men answered the same and moved out, there was nothing more he could do but trust that the Alsdairian SPECNAZ training would be as good as claimed.
The whole terrain had been checked out numerous times before hand, all safety measures had been located, hopefully. Now it was a simple matter of hoping that the traitors maining the station would remain blind.

Two republican soldiers stood at a corner, ignoring for a moment their duty of patrolling the area. Apparently one had returned from leave and was informing the other what the girls were wearing. The commandoes didn't care, they killed both and moved on to their objectives.

The youth on duty in the security station used to be a student, studying computer tech. It was the only reason why the commander kept him on duty in there, and not outside, it wasn't bad, he could even catch a nap from time to time. He drank the rest of his coffee and looked at the monitors, more out of habit than anything else, and froze. Something wasn't right. He realized what it was and he nearly jumped out of his chair,
- 'Someones hacked...!'
Thats when the 5.45 caliber round punched through his skull, killing him instantly. His co-sentry turned surprised at his movement and died at the same time. The shells hitting the floor made more noise than the silenced AKSU's.
- 'Tatko. Security station cleared.'
- 'Good boys. Move to your next objective.'

The republican soldiers looked around surprised when the lights suddenly went out.
- 'Hey! Someone hit the reserve.'
Someone turned on the switch that was soppused to operate the reserve lights, and triggered the detonator of the charges set scant moment before.

As those who survived crawled away from the inferno that ingulfed the guard rooms and barracks they began to die. No-one heard the shots, mens heads simply began to explode. After a while not a single republican soldier was alive.
The commandoes reported in that the mission was accomplished. The officer radioed the news in to high command.

Elsewhere along the front similar scenes accured at every radar, communication, ammo and fuel dumps, airfields and command station. Not one of the raids failed, though the republicans in some spots made it a tight thing.
At the same time escadres of SU and Mig aircraft took off on their own missions of securing air domination, the destruction of airfields and aircraft too far away for commando strikes.
Ten minutes later the land forces moved. Light infantry cleared the way for the armored fists of T-72 and T-80 tanks followed by APC's and trucks carrying the infantry.
Leaflets were thrown from lighter crafts instructing republican soldiers to surrender as well as instructions on how to surrender in a way that would ensure that they would be taken safely.
The liberation had begun.

The war had escalated: Alfegos couldn't possibly deal with an attack on the other front of the republic without massive losses. Or with the forbidden weapons of war.

The single missile arced into the sky and rolled, locking onto the target on the border, before speeding up rapidly to mach 0.8.

It was marked with a blue warhead. This was the advanced EMP missile.
It was totally untracable, masked by the RADR jammer on its warhead, and disguised by the course it would take.

When it would explode above the NMA border, a pulse of Electromagnetic radiation would completely destroy any electronic equipment in a 20 mile radius. It was expensive for Alfegos, but very valuable in buying them time.

As most of the NMA vehicles had not been brought to the front yet and most of the soldiers didn´t have much weaponry more than their AK-74:s, the missile didn´t do much damage. However much radio gear was destroyed, which delayed the assault a bit.

Out in the sea, airplanes from the aircraft-carriers [I]Destructor and Terror attacked Badaran while five battlecruisers pounded the city with artillery fire. When the coastal defences were eliminated, ten Wasp-class amphibious assault ships landed a total of 22,000 soldiers on the shore. All remaining resistance was crushed in a matter of hours. After the city had been taken, various landing crafts brought in the vehicles needed to continue the assault.

The right and left hand first squads reached the line. Quickly, they checked for sentrys with a pair of binoculars, before slowly moving into standing, discarding their gillie suits out of sight, revealing their standard Paratrooper uniform.

They double cheacked, before waling to the nearest bunker entrance, and silently killing the guards with throwing knives. They then entered, with the secondary squads covering the door as they entered, AF-07Ps raised. These were silenced, and were chambered for special Alfegos 6.55mm rounds, instead of standard NATO 5.56 mm rounds. The power of the round would mean that it could easily penetrate body armour and maybe kill people behind walls.

They had 6 40 round magazines each: one of them was filled with explosive AM rounds, for use against any vehicles outside.

As they entered, the firing on the other point increased to climax, with the entire front illuminated as 10 IFVs rolled swiftly across the ground to the bunkers,r eady to disgorge their personnel into the bunkers.

All soldiers in the bunker died, but one managed to press the alarm button before taking a round in the head. All over the line, soldiers woke up to see the IFV:s attack. Most just fired blindly, but some kept a cool head and aimed with the RPG:s they had been given.

"The Apocalypse is closing and all non-believers must be cleared away before our Lord returns. It´s not a mission in which we take pleasure, but it must be done".


"Foolishness. Your actions go against that which Christ said himself, and to beleive that such abominable acts are the will of God is nothing short of heresy. I will not allow this madness and evil to continue in the Lord's name. You will cease your attacks upon civilians, or we shall enact God's justice upon you."

The Archbishop stood up and continued:

"You are fools and blasphemers, that you dare to think yourselves the judges of mankind. You have twisted the Lord's work into an abomination, a tool of Satan. Abandon your evil and destructie ways, or we shall be forced to destroy you in order to protect the innocent whom you slaughter. Good day to you sir, i pray that you cast off the blindness your zealotry has given you, and follow the true path of Christ."

A door was opened behind him, and he motioned that the visiting bishop was free to leave.

Several wings of Raptors flew overhead...as soon as they reach distance of Zaheran forces, a payload of missiles flew overhead, and launched several missiles...the missiles hit vital parts of the coastline but nothing happened...at least from an external view...in reality it was a new weapon...the Weasel Missile Launcher. The missiles contained a degree of Radio jamming radiation that will render the enemy communications dead in a matter of hours, from the density of the strike, the nation of Zaheran will be in blackout for about 5 hours...enough time for SH forces to finish various parts of Zaheran...

The bunker was cleared as the sirens went off, which were swiftly silenced by an electronics expert. Further along, he could hear the 10 IFVs going toards thebunkers. Excellent. The decoy was still working.

They found the comms room, and using a laptop they shut down and jammed all communicaions in the defensive line. No-ne would be able to ell of an attack, and plan correctly.

The RPGs hit of the IFVs, one of which exploded, the other just carrying on, te layer of chobam armour on the outside bearing the brunt of the explosions.
The rest rolled up over into the defences, an disgorged 2 platoons of men, who began killing the sentrys, and then entered the bunker.

The imperial airforce continued their strikes against the communist forces and communist controlled cities in order to chrush their fighting morale. New shipments of men and supplies had arrived and the imperial infantry now numbered at 2 million. The Emperor would crush the petty communists and make the POWs his slaves. The first ground attack had gone well, the imperial troops only suffered a few hundred casualties and took a few dozen prisoners. One of them was taken to Hinka, who was known for his skills in "persuading" prisoners to tell him what he wanted to know.

EMP. A devastating weapon against modern armies due to their relaince on modern technology. The NMA, however, was supplied in ex-soviet gear. Electronics were at a minimum. As such their combat ability was hardly diminished, apart from communication but that to could be fixed with time, though in war time was priceless.
As such the NMA wasted no time. Foreward positions continued their assualt and international news agencies were invited.

They were shown the damage caused by the EMP, the suffering of civilians. Hospitals which lost most oftheir ability to care for the ill and wounded, blacked out cities and the like.
Others were shown the front, the thousands of republican soldiers that surrendered, the NMA soldiers protecting the said prisoners from civilians who, as the translators said, were calling them amongst other things; "Murderes", "Traitors" and "Foriegn Lapdogs".
Other camera crews got shots of woman kissing NMA soldiers on the cheeks, others giving flowers. Old men shaking thier hands and children clambering on the laughing soldiers. Others would see frantic families bring sick and wounded to the NMA medical stations.

Later on the news crews were permitted to speak with the taken prisoners, a few were sent back to their chiefs.

More and more zaheranians felt that their government has betrayed them, giving up their country to the foreign soldiers. In the government forces, many soldiers just deserted and took their weapons and their training to the rebels.

The NMA assault continued. The soldiers took city after city, the government forces often fled or joined the rebels.

The paratrooper platoon cleared an area of half a mile along the densive line, clearing out bunker after bunker.

Then, they fired a single lilac flare into the sky.

The signal was seen, and 500 IFVs, with various MGS, Mortars, AA guns and other guns stormed across the dead zone and thorugh the breach in the defensive line. As they passed thorugh, they fanned out, and beagn ot attack the defences from the rear. Not what they were designed for.

The guns made short work of any vehicles parked or moving, and the artillery began to spread out, hitting miles of the line at once with incendiary munitions.

Massive flames reached up into the air as napalm muitions detonated. There was only a small gap now thorugh which the entrenched WLA could escape. They would not be able to escpae round the sides, as the artillery layed a curtain of fire around there. They could either run across open ground into the Alfegosian forces, or hide and burn in thier bunkers.

Generalissimo Juan Dugal paced in the command tent, it was like the first international civil war all over again, only this time he was the "forger" without the local's trust. "Forger" being a common words used by the people in Mokastana to describe foreigners, claiming they only want to take and not give back. he had to earn the people's trust, the local villages were happy to see food and supplies, not to mention the guns. The Mokan army had yet to move farther inland. After many meetings with the local leaders they began to realize how much distrust their was for the foreigners, this would be hard to overcome but not impossible. Mi-24 HInds continued to supply aide to the locals, while Mokan troops were being used for security on the roads and remaining bridges.

A WLA reserve force, a bit behind the defences attacked the alfegians, intending to crush them against the bunkers they fought to take.

35 Vessels were to form the core of the second vessel convoy to Zaheran. 15 transports carried military equipment, 3 oil tankers carried shipments of aviation and vehicle fuel for the NMA, while the remainder, 2 Arsenal ships, 10 fast attack corvettes, and 5 destroyers were to form the convoy's protection. Overhead, a flight of 100 F-79s provided cover for the ships, refuelling in the air so they could continually provide support for the vessels at sea.

Their mission was simple, first, deliver the military supplies to the port of Nakom Chon, and then, provide sea-based assistance to NMA fighters. If the Zaheran government mobilized ships to sink them, they were to destroy them.

The Imperial Marine Infantry commander, Marshal Hermann Hinka, wasn't nervous of the fact that more and more Zaheranians were joining the communist cause. The plague that is communism would soon be cleansed. He wouldn't bother himself with the NMA's success as the Emperor had nothing against this faction.

A new ground assault was launched against the WLA positions, this time with greater fury. Hinka's artillery pounded the enemy positions for days and once the shelling stopped, 70,000 men along with 600 tanks charged into the enemy positions...

As the bishop left, another man entered the room, and Rev. Claxton began speaking to him. "So it is madness, not a mere hunger for power, that drives them. This will make their defeat more difficult. Nevertheless, I want those crazed murderers destroyed, that they may no longer blight the name of God with their actions. Send out an appropriate force to deal with them."

OOC: I was thinking of sending a couple hundred-thousand AL troops, do you have any objection to that?

The C140 Hercules carrying the Red Cross markings was turned back before the plane reached the border. The Colstream Government was now talking with the Zaheran Government on what was needed to save the current government. The Republic Of Colstream's options were tied. They were running out of options. The options were now either fight the NMA head on in a military conflict, keep suppling both Alfregos and Zaheran and avoid any military conflict, or walk away before any Colstream Servicemen or Citizen were killed or injured.

To Zaheran Government:

Sorry that the supplies didn't get through. The situation now means that the attempt to get supplies through will be much harder. The NMA now knows that we want the current government to stay in power. What role do you want us to play in this situation?

OOC: The original archipelgio was glassed by Alfegos, and the last stronghold is now occupied by a small Alfegos military base and airship/aircraft maintenance hanger.

"We have inbound enemy reserves. Requesting speedbump, over." radioed out Captain Harilsoi as his sensor officer showed him the mobilising troops.

Between the Alfegos forces and the reserves, a quick defence was dropped: a massive minefield, visible to the command and hub vehicles yet invisible to all others. It was laid by the artillery and a quick diverun by 10 bombers, creating a field two miles wide and 20 miles long.

The enemy would have difficulty in crossing that before they arrived at the Alfegos positions.

The bunkers were quickly being taken: doors were blown open with explosives and grenades launched into the dark interiors before a hail of machine-gun bullets followed, the bunkers slowly cleared out.

Extra precautions were bing taken to remove the threat of the reserves as well: the artillery had diverted some of its tremendous firepower into slowing down any enemy vehicles.

OOC: Actually Alfegos has destroyed that place. Now AHC is growing in secret in the cities.

The WLA forces were thrown back by the furiuos assault. Thousands died, but the WLA threw in 100,000 soldiers in the defence. For each and every day, more men joined the rebels. The WLA now fighted a two-front war, one against Alfegos and one against the Imperial forces.

In every major city in Zaheran, large demonstration marches demanded the immediate withdrawal of the foreign troops.

The NMA just made a governmental force marsch before them to clear out any mine threat. If they died of the mines, the NMA just claimed that they had stepped into their own minefield while retreating.

OOC: No, but don´t expect that they will be particulary loved. Foreigners aren´t very popular right now.

The enemy force were relentless: they were trying to cross the minefield WITHOUT minesweepers: suicide. Many thousands would die crossing the deadly field. But they didn't care. What could be enough to stop them? Of course...

Bombs began to fall on the reserves. They weren't filled with explosives: they burst open showering them with thousands of leaflets. Each bore the stark warning:

We are warning you that, unlike the AHC, we are willing to give you mercy. Surrender, and you will be looked after and released back to your country after the end of this conflict.

However, if you don't we will use chemical weapons to kill you: we have a huge arsenal that will cause you immense pain before the quiet comfort of death.

Do you really think that a pointless death is an option?

OFFICAL COMMUNICATION FROM THE REPUBLIC OF COLSTREAM GOVERNMENT.

The Republic Of Colstream has ordered the withdrawl of all combat aircraft from the skies of Zaheran. This is Phase 2 of a complete withdrawl from the region. Phase 1 had been completed justy recently halting all planed aid. This is due to the fact that the Zaheran government armed forces is losing the equipment that we give to them to the NMA. The Colstream Government also thinks that the rate the NMA is capturing the Zaheran Cities, the government will collapse in a matter of weeks, maybe even days. The Colstream government also thinks that the campaigns waged by foreign forces will be unable to break the determination of the NMA and is certain that the NMA will be at the head of the next government. The Colstream government may start brokering a ceasefire between the NMA and Colstream forces.

In every city under NMA control, military officials stood at a podium and spoke to the people. They showed them the alfegian warning. "Now they threaten us, the proud people of Zaheran, with chemical weapons against civilians if we don´t give up. But we won´t give up. We will chase them out of this country and we will avenge our fallen kin. Zaheran! Death to the foreigners!"
Millions of hands raised. "Zaheran! Death to the foreigners!", millions of voices shouted. "Zaheran! Death to the foreigners!"
"Join the army", the officials shouted. "Join the army and kill the foreigners!"

Alfegos soon had no other option: the enemy was near the dge of the minefield, accompanied by a series of explosions as they stepped on the small jumping mines.

The artillery ceased for a minute, then relaunched their attack: they were either firing Mk - 8 CWS or for most of the artilllery Mk - 4 SM-CB Longbow missiles.

As each one hit the land, they burst, leaving a thick cloud of Lewisite. That would stop them from coming over to the continuing Alfegos attack.

At the same time, on the border between the NMA controlled territory and the Zaheran republic territory, more lewisite bombs, interspersed with VX, were dropped, all avoiding civilian settlements and the like. Along the borer now, a mile wide band of contaminated land was left. Anyone who crossed over the line would either face the lingering death of lewisite or the quick violent death of VX.

That would stop any advance. And it would stop any more of the Zaherans from crossing to the NMA, who ahd a better future than the nearly annihilated WLA.

The airship came out of the maintenance hanger of the airbase on the original AHC stronghold, painted in glorious silver and gold paints. Anything that would look on this glorious appendage of Alfegos diplomacy would be blinded by its brilliance. Onboard were diplomats, moving to disuss with the NMA of a ceasefire and for them to stop any more advances.

The Z&F could be pleased, their sponsored side had turned out to be a good choice, if it weren't for the foreigners running amok in Zaheran the country would have been pacified by the NMA in a matter of weeks. The main problem was, ironicly, not the Alfegians or any other foriegners, but the NMA itself. They had seemed to grow to confident and their statements lacked any opening for negotiations. Instructions were sent to the advisors stationed in Zaheran, instructions to try to curb the NMA's enthusiasm and ensure they maintained a sense of reality.

The advisors immediatly set out to carry their paymasters instructions.
First off, they aqcuired the Alfegian transmission and sent copies to various world wide news agencies, as well as posted it on the internet.
Such a warning was a real God-send, now the entire world knew that not only did Alfegos posses weapons of mass destruction (which they probably knew anyway) but that they were threatining to use them in an area where civilian casualties would be high.
There was an additional message it sent, one that only military thinkers would notice without being informed but it was there, the Alfegos military doubted that it would be able to stop the NMA without WMD. Such information could have a devastating effect on moral amongst the population of Alfegos, especially with the filled coffins stacking up.

The advisors next job would be harder, convincing NMA command to be open towards negotiations.

- 'They have no alternative. What other factions are there? The Republic is effectivly non-existant, the AHC is gone and the WLA is on the verge of destruction and even if it wasn't no country would support them. The general population believes that the NMA is a potent military force that will restore Zaheran to it's former glory.'
The advisor caught his breath before continueing,
- 'Now we have to convince the outside world that were the "good guys". Accept international aid, accept there proposition of peace-talks. If it makes them happy introduce some elements of democracy! Mind, you can always "correct" the population if they're wrong.'
The advisor made a motion with his hand as if he was tearing up a piece of paper and tossing it away.

The NMA, after a number of hot argues, eventually decided to begin negotiating with the foreign states in secret while officially keeping up the "No Foreigners" policy. The advance stopped at the death-zone.

A list of NMA requirements for cease-fire was sent to Alfegos. They were:
1. The current government of Zaheran must be removed.
2. All military measures against NMA must cease immediately.
3. All government forces must be disarmed.

The C140 Hercules carrying the Red Cross markings was turned back before the plane reached the border. The Colstream Government was now talking with the Zaheran Government on what was needed to save the current government. The Republic Of Colstream's options were tied. They were running out of options. The options were now either fight the NMA head on in a military conflict, keep suppling both Alfregos and Zaheran and avoid any military conflict, or walk away before any Colstream Servicemen or Citizen were killed or injured.

To Zaheran Government:

Sorry that the supplies didn't get through. The situation now means that the attempt to get supplies through will be much harder. The NMA now knows that we want the current government to stay in power. What role do you want us to play in this situation?

We will not accept the terms you have presented us.
Firstly, we were fighting so that the democracy still stands, instead of your faction's militiristic dictatorship. Therefore, terms 1 and 3 will be made null and void.

As for term two, we are willing to mutually accept that. However, we will offer you no safe passage into what is left of the Zaheran democracy, and we remind you that any attempts to cross through the death zone will result in obvious consequences.

Finally, we are sending a team of diplomats to discuss your faction's stance in this new nation. If they are shot at, you can expect swift redemption: we ahve used WMDs and will not hesitate to use them again. Need I remind you again of the AHC, and their little escapade that ended in their homeland being turned into plateglass? Alfegos could, and would, without hesitation, completely crush your nation with not even a fifth of our nuclear arsenal.

The gold and silver airship continued to float towards the NMA's capital, and to deliver the diploamts their for the talks.

The dawn was breaking as the Alfegos forces were re-enforced: a skeleton force of a few companies was left to defend the WLA capital, while the rest of the men, including the recently arrived Gamma group, bore on with clearing all the defences out: once done, the WLA owuld be left with no shelter. They would be hunted down like rats and they would not be able to hide.

What had taskforce Beta and Delta been doing in that time?
They had been moved to two points along the NMA/Zaheran border,w her ethey were ready to destroy any military activity cmoing from across the large band marked out iwth massive red signs, and skull-crossbone markers: the dead zone.

The biggest problem is that they have numbers, their army is larger than Zaherans pre-war population.'

An exageration? Yes, but sometimes exaggerating got the message across clearer than cold logic.

- 'I see it this way. We begin negotiations as we are, after all, the "good guys". Bah! We present two peacefull ways of resolving this conflict. The first would be to hold democratic elections. The AHC and WLA were always minor and have, like the republic, lost all credability with the masses in this conflict. Elections at this moment, even without tampering, would yield us a landslide victory.

- 'The second would be the establiskemtn of two Zaheran countries. The NMA on it's territory and the Republic on wats left of its territory. Z&F would prefer the first option but the second one is also acceptable. After all, the most populated areas are in the NMA and with the Z&F's continued support you would outclass the republic in both economical and military might, even if they get support from outside sources.'

The Greal army had enough of being nice, 1000 Tomahawks headed for NMA camps and cities. Then a Greal army of 700,000 was ordered to move out of the city they were in. NMA ,might outnumber the Greal army, but the Greal army was better armed, better trained, and better fed.

The Republic OF Colstream thinks that these terms are sound and that you should press immediately for both these terms to be done. This means that there should be elections in both faction held territories and if the factions get a majority in their occupied territory, that held territory should become a country. This will spare the anarchy of border disputes or more regional conflict. Please tell us if this is a good idea.

You just shot down a plane full of civilians, not Colstream Air Force personnel. Also there were UN personnel as well on board. There could be a diplomatic uproar about this. There will be no military action because it was a civilian plane, but there will be a complaint made to the other foreign forces in the region and my allies.

Additionaly Alsdair is not an active side in the conflict. A corporation where most of the shares are controlled by an Alsdarian is simply supplying the NMA with arms and advisors to train its army.

The NMA finally acknowledged the fact that it would be hard to win the war through a direct attack against what remained of the Republic. And besides, as the NMA now was very popular among the citizens, now would be the best time to hold elections. As most of the population now lived in NMA territory, the second option also was acceptable.

Secret IC to Mokastana:

The Republic Of Colstream usually hates smuggling but as you are an ally in this conflict i will help you smuggle the supplies in and i will help finance the two factions. I will also finance you if you want anything in terms of arms or equipment. That includes everything military and economy.

The Alfegosians sent a message to the NMA government as the airship passed over into NMA airspace.



We have thought through the situation, and come to the following: taht it is in our best interests to stop this conflict. The WLA and AHC have been hunted down by us, and we have decided to send the offer of permanent peace toyou. However, the following terms will ahve to be accepted:

1) You cut down your military to at most 0.8% of your population.
2) You do not rig elections, and maintain a democracy.
3) You do not further attack Alfegos troops posted in your territory.
4) As reparation, you let us keep the island on which the AHC were finally annihilated as our own land.

From us, in return, you can expect the following:

1) The cleanup of all chemical weapons within the next 6 months
2) The withdrawal of all troops within a month of the extermination of the WLA.
3) A possible rearrangement of positions to allow for us a mutual pact of trading and defence to help rebuild your economy.
4) The allowance for you to peacefully annex the remaining Zaheran land, with Alfegos support if necessary.
5) The repairing of all systems damaged by the EMP.

The WLA were vanquished soon across the defensive line, and the Alfegosian troops celebrated, before the final assault on the WLA. There was nearly nothing left of them in any defences, that made them cannon fodder for the artillery, cruise missiles and A-10AFI3 ground attacks, that quickly exterminated whatever was left.

I am looking at this from how mercenaries consider all jobs strictly for money that politics are not related to these guys as long they are paid for the mission.

"Term 3 and 4 is accepted. On term 2 we have the following proposal: Zaheran will become a monarchy. The power will be divided between an emperor, who choses the government, and a parliament, chosen by the people. The emperor and the parliament members will have veto-rights in issues of the categorys:

Major international matters.
Changes in the political system.

Thus, to for example change the political system requires that all parliament members support it. The emperor can bring up issues to the parliament, but needs at least 60% of the parliament on his side to get it through. The parliament members can get an issue through if they have at least 80% of the parliament on their side. If that happens, the emperor cannot veto the issue if it not fit into one of the three categorys listed above.
As for term 1, we actually think it´s not for a foreign state do decide. But to end this war, we can limit the army to 2% of the population.
We can allow external supervisors to control the elections. But do to Alfegos being involved in the war, we would prefer that they come from somewhat more neutral countries.

We appreciate your cooperation. The supplies will arrive soon as promised. However the Emperor doesn't trust your military and has ordered the battlegroup under Hinka's command to distribute the supplies. Should any of the supply convoys or their men come under attack, the attackers will feel his wrath. He has also requested that you allow the empire to establish a naval base of a few thousand men in Wulfenstein.

The airship was now floating over the capital. It slowly floated over the airfield nearest, and used the rotors stationed along its body to land.

Out of the gondola quickly walked 10 men, who waited as the airship re-ascended for the government officials to meet them.


We accept the compromise on terms 1 and 2. Therefore, we expect all military activities against us to cease.

We will call in a mediating party for the elections, and have already begun cleanup nearest the largest population centres.

We hope you will expect the diplomats with open arms.

The diplomats were met with a honor guard of 2000 soldiers and the three main leaders of NMA: General Dieter Antonn, General Lucifer Teufel and Admiral Marius Stee. Dieter Antonn stepped forward. "Welcome gentlemen. It is an honour to meet you". He gestured to the armoured cars waiting. "We have prepared conferance premises where we can discuss more sensitive issues".
