A heavy mist decends over the sleepy village of Kau'rk, nestled in the mountains. It is early in the morning and no one is around, save for the guards patroling the streets and the monks in the temple of Uelimro, the Eternal of Honorable War, Justice, Unity, and Peace. Two figures walk out of the village gates and walk the hidden path down the mountain. A young male and a female Xiscapian. The male has a lanky, tall, (about 6,0) build, with silver/gray hair, yellow eyes, pale skin, and pointed ears. He's about 16. He could be mistaken for human, was it not for the fox tail and ears, as well as the pointed "elf" ears and yellow eyes. Combined, his apperance made for a odd-looking but formidible being. A black-sheathed katana hangs from his belt. The female is different. Though she also has a fox tail and ears, as well as pointed more human ones and yellow eyes, her build is much smaller. She is about 5,5, with long ebony hair, pale skin, and almond shaped eyes. She's about 16. If she was human she would be considered pretty, but as an Xiscapian she was beautiful. A white katana swings slightly at her side as she walks. They both wear forest-green vests, white shirts, brown boots, and black pants. The males name is Foxfire Rose. The females is Holly Swong. Foxfire has a bow slung across his back with a quiver of arrows, as well as a knife. Holly has a bow also, as well as several shurikens, or throwing stars as some call them. They are both proficient fighters, but Foxfire is the Destined One. It was said in a prophecy hundreds of years ago that he would help bring peace and balance to the world. How or when was unknown. They were both skilled in magic, Foxfire's gift, as with many Xiscapians, was being able to easily control the elements, while Holly's was being able to heal most wounds and drive her enemies mad with her magic. Now, they went out. Stories and rumors were everywhere. Something was happening. Then one of the monks in the temple recieved a vision from Uelimro. A torn battlefield...dead bodies, blood spilling out of them...flames and chaos, the stuff of nightmares. Now the two of the villages greatest warriors were being sent out, to find out what they could. Both had the blessing of the Emperor himself, high up in the mountain, above Kau'rk. They continued in silence down the mountain, the mist twisting and swerling about them.

A party of young orcs followed the two Xiscapians at a distance. They weren't old enough to actively hate them yet, but they were seizing up the possibility of a successful attack. The youngest walked a bit too fast and tripped over a body, his small dagger clattering onto a fallen sword. The other orcs hid, but the youngest was too scared to move.

Foxfire's highly sensitive ears picked up the sound of the dagger hitting the sword. He turned and muttered "Seitz." Instantly the mist cleared from the area the sound had come from. A young orc stood over a lump on the ground. No, Foxfire thought, not a lump...a body. A human body. He twitched his hand and the grass under the orcs feet began to curl and wind it's way up his legs, trapping him. Foxfire stared hard at him. Orcs and humans? Here? How do they know of the hidden path? By this time Holly too had turned around. She walked forward, her mind flying out of her to the young orc. She entered his mind, like a little wispearing voice. Why are you here? It asked.

The strange voice that didn't speak, as such, as living in dark caves had that effect on you.
"We're here to find a new cave system," he lied."We're running out of room." He quickly glanced around, looking for his comrades. He couldn't see them anywhere and gulped.

Holly had since reached the orc and the body. She turned the man over, talking to the orc all the while. The voice spoke softly, even tenderly. The orcs and their kind are not running out of room. They will not run out of room for a long time. Why do you lie to me, little orc? I can sense your intentions...did you kill this man? Blood leaked out of the dead man's mouth and his eyes were rolled up into his head.

"These humies were dead before we got here!" he said quickly. "We didn't kill them!" He began to sweat slightly, it was his first un-orc contact.
"We came here to scavenge armor," he muttered under the Xiscapian's piercing gaze. "It's an initiation rite."

I understand orc customs. He was already dead... Holly could sense that the orc was telling the truth. Who's "we"? Are there more of you around? The Xiscapian had thought she had sensed the presence of others. She looked at the dead human again. He appeared to have been stabbed repeatedly in the chest, likely by a larger blade, such as a sword. No dagger or knive had done this.

The orc swore in his head.
"There were a couple of us, but the others left a while back." He still couldn't see his comrades, and believed they had truly fled. "C-c-can I go?"

Holly stood from the body, signaling with her mind to the village guard that there was a body down here. "One last thing." she said, not using mind powers any longer. "Were you intending to attack us?" Foxfire flipped his hand and the grass unwound from the orc's feet, leaving him free to move.

"I was just here for the armor... One of my squadmates was planning to though..." He was still nervous and tried to shy away behind the body. "He legged it a while back... The boss weren't too happy with 'im. Think he's dead."

Holly nodded. "Go." she turned around, walking towards Foxfire. A couple of guards came down from the village to pick up the body and bring it back to the village. Holly reached Foxfire. "I wounder who killed him?" Foxfire shrugged. "One of ours? He is on the hidden trail. Some kind of scout or spy, maybe. It dosn't matter. The village will sort it out." They continued on, down the trail.

The orc ran as fast as he could away, but got caught in the leg by an arrow. Yelping, he fell to the ground. The other orcs set upon him, yelling incoherently insults like 'Traitor!'. The orc youngling was torn apart and cut into pieces by the other orcs. The orcs then ate the pieces and gathered up his bones, putting them in a leather sack. Another group of orcs from the caves joined them. They began to take armor and swords from the human corpses.

Alehkra, Lord of Chaos, watched as his Methualgra prepared. They were readying their katanas, every once in a while a wakazashi (Did I spell that right Xiscapia? You seem to know Japanese weaponry) They were getting ready, ready to do what they did best. Slaughter, torture, spread their Lords will. Their bright blue eyes seemed only slightly dimmed by the sunlight, whereas Alehkra blood red eyes glittered darkly. He wondered who to attack. The weak Karhaz would be little sport. Alehkra turned to his warriors. They awaited the customary speech. "Methualgra!!" His yell was welcomed with a bellow that drowned out all else. He waited for it to quiet down somewhat. "It is time! Methua has commanded it! Our people shall spread his will, chaos will rain! We will fill the nights with the screams of our enemies! Show no mercy, take only those you would have as slaves. The weak, infirm, cowards, children, slaughter them all." They all laughed.

OOC: Actually it is spelled wakizashi. Also, check up a few posts for pictures of Foxfire and Holly.
IC: The guards carrying the dead body away ignored the orcs. Such things were orc bussiness, and a large orc was not to be angered.
Foxfire and Holly continued on down the trail. They reached the bottom of the trail and walked for a while. Presently they came near the Methualgra. Holly stopped. "I sense something..." she said, and Foxfire tightened his hand on his katana.

IC: "Maim! Destroy! Drown them in their own blood!" Alehkra continued. "The entire world will drown in the cesspools of chaos! There shall be no escape! All shall bow to our Lord!!" The Methualgra were now howling their approval, "Yes! Kill them all! We will cover the entire world in blood!" one of them yelled out.

IC: Holly now heard shouting. "Maim! Destroy! Drown them in their own blood! The entire world will drown in the cesspools of chaos! There shall be no escape! All shall bow to our Lord!!" Howls now. A different voice. "Yes! Kill them all! We will cover the entire world in blood!" Holly shook her head, looking sick. "Nothing good is going on up there..." Foxfire nodded. "I'm going to find out what's going on." He climbed a small hill and crotched in the underbrush, spying on Alehkra and his Methualgra.

He cried, ending the speech. The Methualgra howled even louder. Alehkra happened to look over where Holly and Foxfire were. He caught a slight movement, just a bare twitching of a twig. He frowned, whoever they were, they were good. It took skill to hide from him. He left his warriors to their celebrating, and began walking torwards the underbrush. OOC: The Eterni still exist in this world, in small numbers though as most have fled to the western lands beyond the borders of the world where the Light Eternls reign.
IC: Seeing the slaughter of the inncoents the Eterni scout could not tolerate such chaos as his breed was that of good and that of Eternal rule. As well, he had was a servant of Eleritmri and as such could not allow such chaos for such a thing. In result he withdraw his cloak revealing his glowing gold eyes, his shining silver armor, and unseathed his recurved blade which shone with the light of the sun upon it. King Sardobi of Qurir stood up quietly as to not disturb his wife. She hated it when he woke her up, and even Sardobi trembled when Queen Kejui was upset. The elderly king made his way quietly to the altar of Ulrimeto down the hall from his room and sat down on his knees and prayed.
"I pray to thee, Lord Ulrimeto, that you continue to protect and watch over my people, as you have for the kings in the past. I pray that you continue to inspire our people to invent and discover new ways to overcome Chaos and the Dark Eternals through technology. I pray that you let your people, the Kahaz, forever blossom and thrive as we do now. I pray that you listen to my prayers and hear them, and that you choose to bide by them. I thank thee for your protection and blessings in the past, in the present, and in the future."
His daily prayer complete, the King continued with his special prayer for the task at hand.
"Lord Ulrimeto! I call to thee! Today, I, King Sardobi, will send out my armies, your armies, our armies, against those who would do my people, your people, our people, the Kahaz, harm, against those who would do my kingdom, your kingdom, our kingdom wrong. I ask you for support and guidance in this task. I ask you to watch over my soldiers, your soldiers, our soldiers, as they march upon the Greenskins, the vicious servants of Liert, the Lady of Death, Undead, and Decay, and one of your sworn foes, the Dark Eternals. I thank thee for your guidance."
With that, King Sardobi headed out to the throne room, where the day's work would begin. He was going to be very busy. After talking it over with his advisors for monthes, and running it by and getting it approved by the People's Council, he was going to send an invasion force into Da Toop Klanz and strike back at them for years of violence. Additionally, this allowed his men to test out new weapons and alchemical fluids that had been designed, and allowed him to attempt to claim more land for his people. Today they began the march.

First Minister Sorezo walked out of his room. He stood up and looked out at his view.
"Wow", he thought, "What a beautiful nation. Everyone else is going to go to war, we will be alone, secluded from it all. I love my power."
A lone Scracian sliped silently through the water, minding her speed. Fast enough to make it to her destination before daybreak but to fast as to tire her out and trap her in her gifted form. That would be the worst. If she had to sleep in the water tonight, her package wouldn't survive.

(I have an idea that I'd like to see accepted as part of this. Seeing Stones, essentially Crystal Balls that let people communicate and could be used by civilization's leaders to communicate to one another and to their generals and such.)
Sardobi's first part of business was to send a messenger to the Xiscapians. He was going to request an alliance against the Greenskins, if possible. Their magic and Qurir's technology would help crush the Greenskin menace. If they agreed, he'd have allies, and if they turned him down, it simply meant that he wouldn't go as far with this assault as he had hoped. Still, he prayed that they would join him in this assault.
Pushing those thoughts out of his mind, Sardobi went up to the balcony from the Throne Room, that overstood the Great Plaza. There he would address his people and declare the beggining of this assault on the Greenskins.
Walking up into view, Sardobi was met with thunderous applause and screams of joy. He was a well-liked king, and had done much to assure he kept that benefit. His voice was booming and enhanced by a cone shaped device his scientists had devised.
"People of Qurir! I come to you today to tell you of a great event happening! Today, 5000 Soldiers, and 500 of the Desert Guard shall march across the border into Da Toop Klanz, and strike a mighty blow at the Greenskins who have long plagued our fair people!"
A roar of approval arouse from the mass of people below.
"But that is not all! Once this blow is struck, we will proceed with the elimination of as many Greenskins we can find within the territory we enter. These unholy abominations of the Dark Eternals will not survive!"
More applause.
"And finally, once the blow is struck and the Greenskins are gone from there, we will gear up and do it again! Once this crusade is done, not a single horrid Greenskin will be left alive!"
The audience was nearly out of breath with cries of joy and their hands pained them from all their clapping.
Sardobi smiled and returned to the Throne Room. He called over his advisor.
"Tell Asmid to advance his men. We strike now."
(Heh, genocide against Orcs. A twist, no?)

Slesha felt her energy waning. She swam up to the land. In a flash of light, he fin disappeared and in its place were two legs. Her wet green hair reflected the morning sun.
When she entered the Great Plaza of Qurir, Sardobi was finishing up a great speech about eliminating the greenskins. She yelled out to him just as he turned away, "King Sardobi! King Sardobi! I bring you a peace offering and ask you to make a peace treaty with the land of Scracia."
She took the small brown pouch from her belt. Opening it up, the crowd could see what was in it.

"Let her in and send Vizier Nikrid to meet her. I'll see her if it is worth my time."
The woman was escorted by two guards inside the palace to the Conference Room. There, she was told to sit down as Vizier Nikrid came to meet her. Despite his considerable girth and jovial attitude, Nikrid had a razor-sharp mind and was incredibly intelligent and intuitive about these things.

Wandering Argonians

High above the Grand Plaza, lurking in the namesake of his patron god, was one of the many Shadow Naga spies, the many eyes of the Shadow Father, sent forth of observe his enemies, the enemies of Chaos and Shadow, within their own lands.
Wrapped in a dark gray cloak and tunic that matched his scale color almost exactly, the Naga clutched a support beam beneath the spire of one of the taller buildings, hanging silently in the shadowy dimness like some sort of demoic bat. While all the servants of the Light were enemies of the Shadow Father's children, the sea-swimmers were the most hated. His kind were the true masters of the open waters, those born with the swimming gift and not needing the magics of their gods to navigate the seas.
His tail twitched in a mix of hate and anticipation, the sudden urge to bury one of his daggers deep into the soft flesh of the infidel, but that would blow his cover and probably get him executed in short order. If the opportunity arose, then so be it, but he would not create his own. The swimmer emerged from the waters, the legs appearing from where the fins had been. The entire process disgusted him, but he'd been trained to stomach such things without extra thought.
The item with her, however, caught his attention. Some sort of small, four-legged creature not unlike a dog, but of an unknown breed. Before he could get a closer look, however, two armored men appeared and escorted both the swimmer and the creature out of his sight and into the security of the palace. Following seemed to be the best course of action, this creature could be the beginnings of some new weapon, and knowing the inventive nature of these softskins, would probably weaponize it somehow anyway.
The Naga angled himself sharply, swinging around the support beam to kick off of its opposing brother to land on the roof of the next-door building and take off at a silent run towards a building somewhat closer to the palace. If he survived to report to his superiors, he'd mention the need for some sort of magnification device to lengthen his view range...

Foxfire calmly blocked the blow with one hand, hardly moving as his sword clashed with the other. He then did a quick slice to the stomach, trying to gage his opponents speed. If he wasn't fast enough, he was done for. There had been times when one Xiscapian swordmaster had killed half a dozen human masters in a few short seconds. Simply because he was faster. Xiscapian's have superior speed, grace, and agility to a human...

Located in the most ancient part of the world, the part that had been where the Highest One, had begun the creation of the world sat the oracle of the One who acted as the only link between mortals and the Supreme Eternal who alone had the power to govern the world entirely and in all aspects. There the oracle had sat since days uncounted upon the high mountain inside the albaster walls of the temple and there had been protected by the last known Eterni in the world of mortals.
Yet, in the Oracle's high temple the secrets of old had been remembred, the wisdom of the Higest Eternal revered, the worlds of mortals and gods connected, and the only place where the influence of the Supreme One could be felt still be normal mortals. At the same time the location of the temple had now become known only to the most wise and powerful of mortals. At the same time any mortal who came before the Oracle had to remain respectful of the laws of never unseathing their weapons, though once on the mountain they could not even be drawn, and that they could not engage in fights with other people there due to the power of that existed there which could not be overcome by any being. The power over the temple even made avatars respect it as their patrons, Eternal or Dark Eternals, would not dare rise up against the One.
With all of this the Temple remained open to all mortals who wished to enter and seek the wisdom of the One who had now declined in the memory of mortals so that he might even be considered a legend by many mortals of this age.
Wandering Argonians

The Naga leapt from the rooftop, rolling gracefully as he hit the ground and coming up running faster than before, continuing his sprint up the nearest palace guard tower to the lowermost window. Clawed hands locked securely into the windowsil, the Naga checked over his shoulder to make sure no-one had spotted him and was somewhat relieved that no-one had.
Using his arms, the Naga threw himself upwards to the next window, checking within for guards. Discovery was the last thing he needed right now, not with such a prize so close. Such information might finally get him promoted higher than his current station, and take him out of the dangerous work he was currently in. Fear was not a motivator, that had been conditioned and trained out of his mind long ago, no, he wanted to quit slinking around like some common thief snatching tidbits of information that may or may not be useful. The priests and war-chiefs had an obesssion with information, to know more about their foes than even their enemies themselves knew, and it was becoming annoying.
The guard within was facing away from him, allowing the Naga free passage to the next window and from there to the top of the tower. Peeking carefully over the edge, it was unoccupied, thank the Shadow Father. There was a large urn, however, apparently filled with water to keep the posted guards well-hydrated, and this he pulled over to place on top of the trap door to keep his presence concealed. From his new perch, he could catch glimpses of the small canine barking within the room, and generally being a bother. The Naga wondered fleetingly if it was at all tasty when roasted over an open fire with some decent wine and an herbal butter glaze.
It wasn't like he'd be able to find out, however, the creature was too far away and too heavily guarded. He had no orders to assassinate the ruler of whichever nation he'd been sent to, he'd already forgotten the name, and because of which he would not be entering the palace grounds unless he felt there was something important going on. His current escapades were more due to curiosity than any urge on his part to figure out what was happening in the wider world.
The Naga's hands moved in a circular motion, drawing an invisible rune in the air. He then cast the rune towards the window, some distance away. It was a simple spell, amplifying sound waves and sending them back to a small horn he had produced from his cloak. A spy was nothing if he was unable to hear what distant conversations contained. He brought the horn to a fin-ear and crouched low, taking comfort within the shadows cast by the overhang...
"...Scarcia shares a border with the greenskins. There have been reports of your soldiers performing reckless conquests, sometimes ravaging nations adjacent to their target, as well as the target itself. I'm not saying that this will happen with this conquest, I am just asking you to assure my people that it won't. In return, we offer you this one of a kind creature..."
Again, the Naga was surprised at his luck. The coming of an invasion? The orcs and goblins were by no means allies of the Shadow Naga, but they served similar Eternal masters. The disgusting creatures would probably pay well for such information, and the Naga spy took note of his findings within a small leather-bound note tablet with a charcoal stick. He would remain a while longer, then slip back to his hideout to report his findings through another intersting device...

Foxfire saw the blade as if it was coming in slow motion. He struggled, and the sword sliced downwards, causing a deep cut to slice up from Foxfire's cheek, past his right eye, and up though his eyebrow. Foxfire muttered quickly and suddenly vanished, the blade coming crashing down on where his head had been seconds ago. Foxfire remateralized behind Alehkra. "I have underestimated you. You are good. Alehkra, still laughing, parried all of the hits. He slashed with the sword, while simultanously throwing a punch. He felt it was now time to use his limited magic. Methualgra didn't have near the magic of Xiscapians, and what little they did have had to do with the mind, hence their mind link thing. So, Alehkra was like a greatly reduced version of Holly when it came to magic. He couldn't talk in peoples minds, but he could project emothions. Holly healed them all with her magic, except for the gash on his cheek. "It won't come out." she muttered, applying more of the silvery magic to the wound. (@Scracia, you're not talking to Sardobi, but his advisor.)
The advisor took this in and gave a kind smile.
"I promise you, we will not strike against your people. Our soldiers our headed for the Greenskins and the Greenskins only. We will not harm any others. And the King accepts your offer of this creature. I would also like to invite you to stay with us for a few days. Your journey must have been difficult."
-----------------------
The troops recieved their orders and began their march. Something about Sardobi was that he always made speeches and announcements like this just as they were happening. This gave the illusion of faster movement and communication, and gave him the element of surprise.
General Ahkemed looked over his orders within his tent and confirmed them on the map. They were right outside the borders of the Greenskins' territory, and were about to cross the Treacherous Wall, a line of tens of thousands of different traps and devices to strike down any Greenskins who tried to cross into Qurir.
Ahkemed's men had maps and experts who knew where the traps were and would disable them so that they could cross over. The time had come. He motioned to one of his officers, and they went out and pronounced the beggining of the attack. Legions of 200 each began their march in order, wearing golden armor, forged to deflect heat and incredibly light and strong. They carried Zekath or bows, their armor allowing them to move quickly enough to use these effectively.
The Desert Guard was a different matter. They wore silver and black robes with leather armor alchemically treated to be as strong as iron and resistant to magic. They carried crossbows and special Zekath that were stronger and more powerful then any thing else. Broken into groups of 20 and put along with the main army legions, they were the best of the best, trained in the midst of the desert under the harshest conditions. A single one could take down 10 normal soldiers.
With all these men at the ready, they crossed over and entered Da Toop Klanz, prepared for war.

Teli Aylud had been wandering for days, looking for the Xiscapian village. He understood that he would never find it and that they would find him, but his time was running out. His food and water were almost completely gone, and he knew little about hunting in this land, and was unsure if it would be a crime to harm any of the animals. He only hoped to be found before it was too late.
----------------------------------------
Prince Sarbid looked up from his horse. He checked the map that his father had gave him when he decided to take this journey. It was harsh, but it was worth it. He was seeking the Temple of the One to learn his destiny, and what he was to do in this world. The location was one of the secrets passed down from King to King, and Sardobi knew he would be dead soon enough, so he gave the map to Sarbid. All the great Kings of the world knew of the Temple, while their people thought it was only a myth.
Noticing a mass of bodies in the cave he was in, and recognizing the stench of Greenskins, he looked around with a device he had created that allowed him to see in the dark. He noticed what looked like a grouping of people about to do battle, and made his way up. Soon he felt a feeling of magic and noticed Xiscapians. Standing back, he watched to see what was happening.

Holly used her mind power to get inside one of the soldiers. She took control of him, holding him hostige against himself. None of the other soldeirs noticed, as there was no odd behavior from the possessed soldier. Foxfire used his magic to shoot a wall of fire into the trees to hault and hopefully burn a few soldiers.

Sarbid had watched the goings on with interest. He had no reason to like the Children of Kash, and more so to like the Xiscapians. Still watching them from the shadows, he saw as they dissapeared into the forest. He swore as he lost his chance. They had mentioned the Temple of the One, his destination. Inside the mountain, almost every orc available was gathering arms and armor in case of a battle. The warboss was wearing his special ritual armor, all black and red spikes. And every orc was doing something unusual. Grinning.
Another pair of eyes were watching the massive army. The man who owned them was tall and slim, with the pale beauty that humans still sang songs and told tales about. Fortunatly, we have known of this for many years and have taken appropriate measures to protect it. Once most or all of their army is inside, we shall trap them at a natural choke-point, forcing them to go back out of the caverns. If all goes well, your army will be waiting at the mouth of the caves, and they will be trapped between your forces and ours."

Coming quickly a voice in the Elder tongue and said," We Eterni have been sent by our lords to aide in the destruction of the forces of darkness and chaos. Though we serve our lords we come of our own free will to aide in the cause of your kind."
OOC: To note the Eterni serve all Eternals, be the light or dark, save that most of the Dark Eterni fell in the ancient wars and now no longer fight openly as they once did. As well, the Eterni dwell in the lands of the Eternals and there live lifes that are immortal and can only be killed by a weapon. Another note the Eterni have come from what is essentially paradise and are willing to die for the cause of good.

IC: Foxfire led Sarbid into a village. Men and women were preparing for battle, dressing in no one uniform, but rather an array of camoflauge. Some wore forest colors, some would use magic to stealth themselves, some could turn into various animals, a pair of girls coated themselves in paint which had been bewitched to change the color of it's surroundings, like a change-lizard. Men readied their katana swords, bows, spears, staves. Elite Shadow troops, dressed in all black, readied their weapons (think ninjas.). The town itself would never be found, and between the traps, ambushs, raids, wild animals, and waywerd magic, the North Calaverans were going to have quite a time getting up the mountain. Oh, and did I mention that there was a dragon or two?

OOC: That makes sense, considering my Eternal is of Technology. Still, Sarbid won't know until they reach the Temple of the One. Also, I have to go for the night.
Sarbid looked this over. He put a hand into his pack and pulled out his light armor. It was chain mail, with a single breastplate, all of which was alchemically treated to be stronger and lighter than normal metal. Sarbid went into a tent that Foxfire pointed out to him, and changed from his traveling clothes. When he emerged, he was wielding his two Zekath, and wearing the armor along with a light colored cloak and hood. He had exchanged his sandals for boots, and was now ready to fight. He had recieved Desert Guard training, the most elite within Qurir besides the Crown Blades, which he could not, as the training was only allowed to those selected for it, and he had not tried to.
Regardless, he was prepared for the battle ahead. He knew how to handle his weapons, how to find the weakpoints in armor and weapons (a side effect of a Kahaz's knowledge of technology, forging and weaponry), and how to kill quickly. This would be fun.

Behind the north calaverans a group of ten vampires and twenty human rangers were sneaking through the forest. Since the first observation had been made they had followed the humans for about a hour. At their front was Agares and Mephiston, both searching for traps with their enchanted senses.
All the vampires were suffering greatly from the Thirst, and sometimes one of them would turn and stare hungrily at the human soldiers that followed them.
