"Copy that, Charlie Two-One-Four-Eight, I see the flames, over," Steve said. Moments later, the reports of the suspicious camp had reached the Marines, and they rolled out. The convoy consisted of transports loaded with humanitarian supplies for the refugees, as well as LY219 APCs and LY4 Wolfhound tanks, just in case things got hot. As the convoy neared the camp, they noticed something was different. There were no people out and about, as would be expected in a camp of comparable size. Suddenly, a T-72 rolled out of a Quonset Hut 300m away and fired on the lead truck, incinerating it. "Holy fuck!," shouted the commander into his radio. "Attention all units, the area is hot, repeat, the area is hot. Fire at will."

as the truck exploded, a company of Cazelian marines and tanks rolled into the city. the tanks were M7-A1s and LY4s. the marines were deployed via helicopter and APC

The lead LY4 in the convoy destroyed the attacking T-72 as Prestonian Marines rushed out of their LY219s with rifles in hand, ready to light up the enemy. The camp was large, more like a village actually, and there were rebels everywhere. The enemy had dug pits in which tanks were placed and surrounded by barbed wire and sandbags, making them more like gun emplacements than tanks. This turned out to be their doom. The LY4s made short work of the T-72 and T-62s, and proceeded to lay waste to the rebel ground forces. By now there were 200 Marines either in the city or on their way. This was turning into a major firefight.

On the other side of the city, Dunerian MI-28's began their attack run on several enemy position's. Scrambling to their A-A guns, the enemy tried to hold back the incoming tide.
A most futile attempt.

Rocket pod's contaning dozen's of rocket's opened up on the rebel's. Tanks and APC's were destroyed in plumes of fire and soldier's were grinded up by continous cannon fire.

From a building, Rebel's fired RPG's at the helicopter's. One lucky shot hit an engine and turned the plane into a whirling piece of metal. It crashed.
One Pilot managed to get out.

Cheering, the rebel's tried to load their ammo and fire again.
Instead, they found themselves facing death.

Once again the Missiles fired, and the building they once called sanctuary turned into a flaming deathtrap.

The threat cleared, the MI-28's returned to base. Off in the distance, Tanks and APC's rumbled towards the city.

"An enemy airfield has been spotted, sir," said an engineer to Ryan. "It has been destroyed, we are taking over it now. We recommend you fly over to see if any enemy fighters are still flying."

"OK," said Ryan. "I'll go find John."

John arrived back at the flight school in a SU-27 Flanker, and landed it, and as he taxied to the ramp, saw Ryan and waved from the cockpit of the Flanker. When he stopped he called out "What's up Ryan, anything new since I left?"

"Um, yah, they're sending us on a mission of sorts. We're supposed to fly over an enemy airfield that's been destroyed by us but look for enemy fighters." Ryan hopped into his F-16 and took off, waiting for John.

John took off, and finding that Ryan was behind him, he was north, he did a tail slide maneuver to direct himself south, from there he saw Ryan headed southwest, and he then followed him and said "Thrust vectoring is slick!, isn't the airfield we're looking for one that we've bombed already? I saw that our names got on the Cazelian news the other day.."

"Hmm, I didn't know our names got on the news. Yes, the airfield got bombed, but they want us there in case there's enemy fighters."

John said as they approached the airfield "I don't see any enemy fighters so far, but we need to have constant vigilance!" He scanned the skies eagerly, making sure no enemy was unseen..

"Enemy fighters on our radar!" said Ryan. "Wait a sec-there's also a Stratofortress. What are they doing? I'll get the fortress and two fighters." He sent three AIM-9 Sidewinders at his targets while pulling crazy maneuvers like spinning and diving so he was unpredictable.

John noticed a single MIG-21 on his 6 o'clock, so he did the famous cobra slide, and he popped a missile at the MIG-21 as he did so, the maneuver bewildered the MIG-21 pilot, then he popped off some AIM-120 missiles at a flight of 5 SU-15 Flagons that were inbound.

"Hit! Yes!" said Ryan. He had gotten 2 F/A-22s, a feat worthy of anything. And, the Stratofortress. "Missiles at 3 o'clock!" he started diving toward the ground, hoping that the missile was heat-seeking-maybe it'd hit one of the things on the ground. But was he going to make it? He was straining, straining, straining.....

John did another cobra tail maneuver, and by sheer luck shot down 1 F/A-22, and then got back level to climb and swore when he saw his fuel level "I don't have enough to get back to base.." He looked desperately for a tanker to come and refuel.

"John, just land at the airfield," said Ryan. "It's ours, the question is will you get blown up? Just send down a message, I'll take care of these 3 F/A-22s to finish them off." As he was saying that three AIM-9 Sidewinders flew toward the Raptors. Now he was out of missiles.

John replied with an affirmative, and he sent down a message saying his intentions, and he landed and taxied to the less damaged ramp, and a fuel and arms truck came driving over with men, and John sat in the cockpit of the SU-27N.

"Yes!" said Ryan. To the ground he said, "John, just put some fuel and arms in it, but don't bother coming up, it's all clear up there. Tell Ingram that and tell those guys down there don't shoot me down, I'm coming in for a landing."

He started to come in, but on a different runway.

John nodded and responded "I will Ryan." He roared to the crews "Do not shoot the plane that will be coming in for a landing, I repeat Do not shoot, he is friendly.." John hopped out of his SU-27N Flanker and touched the ground running towards the bar..

Ryan taxied in, and landed safely. He got out, and the first thing he asked for when some personnel came for him was pizza. "I'm starving!"

John walked into the bar and also ordered pizza and sat down on the couch and took out the jokingly named "Owner's Manual-Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35 Flanker" manual and started to read it..

When he sat down next to John in the bar he ordered a Coke to go along with his pizza, and started making a list of what he wanted for his Falcon. "Let's see, paint job, more weapons room, more fuel, new radar," he muttered under his breath. Then he saw what John was doing and started laughing.

John explained "We bought Flankers, because we found it cheaper to re-engine them and put in avionics then to buy a load of F-15E, plus they complement our MIG-35/Eurofighter/F-14 fleet very well. I am just reading up on it, to see if I can invent a new aerial tactic using it."

Rykov rapped on the door. Damnit, it's been awhile since I've been here. he thought. The war with Steel and Fire was now at a standstill, and it seemed like just the time to catch up with old friend's.

John opened the door and said "Rykov, nice to see you, my air force has just replaced the Flankers with the FB-22 two seat Strike Raptors, and the F/A-44 Nightwasps."

"Nice, we've updated our Mig 31's and have started to construct our Mig 52's (AKA: the Doomhammer's). It's going along swimmingly.

John said casually "We got rid of the SU-27's, because one broke apart in mid-air, killing one of our generals, and the engines in some of them, we didn't re-engine all. Say, would you be willing to ask your higher ups if they would supply us some MIG-52's when they are ready for export."

"Sure, however it may take a little time."

Ingram was in the hallway, when four Cargillian guard began shooting at him. one of the billets passed through his shoulder, but Ingram managed to get to John, before fainting from blood loss...

"Right." barked Rykov. Pulling out his MP5 navy, he added his own firepower to John's. Dragging Ingram to the sick bay, he barricaded the door, and started to stop the bleeding.

John barked "I do not recognize King Cargil as a sovereign ruler of this land, by rights it should be Ingram Jonathan Hasley!" He opened fire with his E-19, dropping some soldiers, when more rushed, he rushed into the briefing room, a more defensible position.

Steve landed at the airstrip after a 9hr flight, expecting to find the airfield the way he had seen it when he was last there, 2 years prior. Instead, he landed his F/A 15D in the midst of a firefight. Hopping out, he and another pilot, a girl about his height with red hair, pulled out their own E19s and began shooting at any Cargill guards they could see. 6.7x53mm Doomani rounds ripped through the enemy as they advanced toward the hangar. When he could see no more enemy, Steve ran towards the command center. It was there he found Ingram. "Ingram, you okay buddy. It's Demon, I'm here to help. My father's going to fly out as soon as I give the ok. Liberty will win Ingram, the Prestonian Marines will make sure of that."

John continued to snipe with his E-19 Commando at any Cargillians that popped up and attempted to kill John, John dropped a few Cargillians and yelled "Demon, the Cargillians are attempting to take me in under arrest."

Rykov emptied his weapon into the door. promptly the banging stopped. Tending to Ingram, he saw that his life sign's were barely positive.
"That's right," Rykov yelled. "Just hang in there."

John whipped out his Colt 1911, the Cargillians were getting in close range, he fired shots with his .45 that were deadly accurate, dropping some, and he yelled "I'll need backup fire in a sec, so I can retreat to a more defensible position!"

He would just have to hope for another one.

"Ingram, NO!," Steve shouted. He shot the Cargillian in the head with his Baretta and kept shooting long after he had died, angry that the man had killed his best friend. Finally, he put his gun away. "Alright, everybody form up around the command center. We are not going to let these bastards take over Cazelia. Knight, I want you to get on the radio and see if there's any friendly forces available. Rykov, find a machine gun and set up on the roof. John and I will cover you. I will not lose another wingman today! Everybody to your positions, let's do this for Ingram!"

John hopped on a .50 cal machine gun position and started mowing down the Cargillian soldiers with deadly accuracy, "FOR INGRAM!" he roared, to rally the last few supporters of Ingram.

John nodded and ran to the humvee and manned the SAW and fired at the Cargillian soldiers as they drove off. He felt bullets impacting into his skin, but yet he remained on top to fire his SAW in the Humvee and dropping more Cargliian soldiers..

Steve hit the throttle and blasted through the gates at the entrance to the airfield. As he looked in the rear view mirror, he was amazed at the destruction the Cargillians had caused. Planes and trucks were burning everywhere. Steve shouted to the back "Stryker, which way do I turn at this intersection or do I go straight?"

John ducked back into the cabin, since they were long gone away from the danger zone.

"Ingram, I've got an idea. There's a Prestonian carrier offshore, doing exercises. I might be able to get a Seahawk out here to take us over to it. You can set up a provisional government from there and coordinate strikes with our guys. What do you say?"

He pulled into a dive while constantly spinning and managed to get behind his assailant. The assailant was gone. Then, a F/A-22 arrived, which Ryan destroyed by sneaking up right behind it, about twenty feet away, and blew it up. "That's 8 kills for me," he thought. Then he landed to make sure Scarlov and Ingram and Steve and John were all right. Just in time for the copter.

a squad of Marines in ceremonial uniform, carrying a coffin draped in the Cazelian flag, walked over to Ingram's F/A-11, draping the aircraft's cockpit in the flag, before lowering the coffin into a grave in the hangar, where it was frozen cryogenicaly and covered in glass. the marines planted a flag in the glass, saluted and fired their rifles in the air several times. one of the marines walked over to Steve, saluted him, and handed him a Cazelian flag

John Arnold landed his RF-4E at the airfield where he knew the Imperial Cazelian Flight School had been. As he taxied the Phantom over, he noted it did not look too lively, infact, he had sworn he could've seen cobwebs. He parked it and got out to take a look around the place..
